~16/10/2022~ Most recent additions to our Jellycat family ^^ 🤍 I think I was feeling physically slightly better - less achy at least! When L arrived in the morning we set out to Horsham for a trip out - we went to a garden centre I hadn’t been to for years - first mishap of the day - my phone fell in a puddle as I got out the car! Luckily the phone itself doesn’t seem to be damaged - just the screen protector slightly smashed and the case now smells distinctly of pond water, so I’ve had to order another one - not a complete disaster though. The garden centre seemed exactly how it was when I last saw it, except now it looked sad, tired, and dated :/ We went into Horsham town centre - had a walk across the park - introduced L to Pretty Things. I had this seasonal hot chocolate thing, which I initially didn’t have high hopes for when I saw it, but actually turned out to be very nice! We had a wander round some of the shops - picked up this really gorgeous encyclopaedia type illustrated animal colouring book which was such a lovely find :) We struggled a bit to find somewhere cheap to grab some lunch as Greggs was closed?!? And the other bakery, and the fish n chip shop, and just about anywhere else I could think of! In the end we opted for KFC. I was flagging a bit towards the end of the trip, but not feeling as unwell as I have done on previous days. When I got home I felt like I had to keep going otherwise I’d crash - did a bit more of the piece of art I’m going working on for my grandma’s birthday. there’s another small community of people who like jellycats on reddit! it’s r/jellycatplush. jellycats are also quite popular on instagram and #jellycatsofinstagram is filled with them.

while jellycat is currently my favourite soft toy brand, i also really like build a bear, disney and wild republic. i don’t collect them anymore but my first intentional collection of soft toys was beanie kids (an australian equivalent of beanie babies but they were all bears in different outfits), so they also hold a special place in my heart.
