Selena continues her We Own The Night World Tour for the final South American leg of the tour this evening in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The tour runs through January 22nd-February 11th

Fans spot both Selena and Justin in San Juan and take fan photos with the couple - Alfredo later confirms Justin was indeed in Puerto Rico but that they were flying back to LA the following day

"Went to dinner tonight in Puerto Rico. Justin ended up eating fish… I wanted him to try something Puerto Rican but he really wanted fish.. LOL what a waste of trying. February 2nd:

Selena covers the March issue of Cosmo and mentions Justin a few times in her interview

February 11th:

Selena officially finishes her We Own The Night World Tour as she performs her final show of her South American leg in Montevideo, Uruguay

She also announced via her official Facebook that her and her band Selena Gomez & The Scene would be taking a prolonged hiatus as she will focusing primarily on acting this year:

This tour has been amazing, Thank you all for all the love and support you have shown me on this tour. Today is the last show but.... I will be back. Love you all.

Just to clear up my last instagram post, my band and I are going our separate ways for a while. This year is all about films and acting and I want my band to play music wherever with whoever. We will be back but, it will be a good while. I love them and I love you guys

Stuart Montalvo, general manager of the restaurant, tells HollywoodLife.com:

“Justin and Selena were here this past Saturday with a group of people. They are really nice and polite. They come here quite often and usually order the same thing: Rocky’s Choice, which is Hibachi steak and chicken breast. Justin’s younger brother and sister were also with them. February 22nd:

Justin and Selena went to UNDER THE GUN tattoo parlor in Hollywood to get Selena her first tattoo. Jordan Sandoval tweeted a picture of Selena and Louie, the tattoo artist who tattooed her.

(he is quoted saying its a heart, but its actually a music symbol and has been long speculated to actually be a disguised "J")

February 26th:

Justin and Selena are photographed by fans renting movies at a Hollywood Blockbuster

Selena speaks to Access Hollywood about her new diamond studded ring in the shape of a "J" from Justin and whether or not its an engagement ring. When asked to show off the jewelry, she suddenly came down with a sudden case of stage fright:

“No, no — that’s like almost a friendship ring, it’s just for fun.”

“No! You’ll see it in pictures!”

“I get nervous.” she added with a laugh.

February 27th:

Selena officially begins filming Spring Breakers in St. Petersburg Florida alongside Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson

February 29th:

Justin films his appearance for The Ellen DeGeneres Show (that airs the following day) to reveal that the first single from his upcoming album, Believe, was called Boyfriend and would be released March 26th - while filming, he's surprised and gifted an electric car from his manager Scooter Braun for his birthday

March 12th:

Justin visits Selena on the set of Spring Breakers

Later that evening, they meet up for dinner and drinks at a sports bar with Ashley Benson and Ryan Good in St. Petersburg Florida and have their first public fight - shortly after arriving Justin stormed out of the bar, followed by Selena chasing after him to their car.

“Justin’s security team drove the battling couple down the street to an alley where they had a ‘private conversation.’ After settling their dispute, they went back to the bar and continued boozing it up. By the time they left it was clear that the underage couple appeared to have had too much alcohol to drink.”

They were later photographed leaving the restaurant seeming to have made amends, but were reported to have been intoxicated.

March 13th:

Selena, Justin and her family are photographed leaving Cedars Sinai Medical Office Towers in Los Angeles California - Selena had a bandage around her arm where it looked like she had blood taken.

Complex: Obviously, you and Selena are fodder for the gossip blogs everyday. How hard is it to keep your relationship private?

JB: It’s so hard, because everyone’s got a camera-phone, and now everyone wants to get their picture on the blogs. So they’ll send anything that they have to the blogs. So you don’t really get any privacy. If I want to go out to eat, if I’m in L.A., I just have to expect that there’s going to be someone there. That’s the only thing that I don’t like.

JB: I’m kind of both. I don’t like it, but I understand it. I’ll be covering my face or something, and the comment that pisses me off so much is, “Oh, get over it, Justin. You’re famous. People are going to take your picture. Just suck it up. You’re rich. You’re making a lot of money. Suck it up. This is one of the things that you have to do.” I’m like, “Yo I just got off an eight-hour flight. I’m tired. My eyes have bags under them. I’m not trying to take pictures.” I’m not going to come to your house, wake you up out of a deep sleep and start snapping your picture, no matter how you look right now. It doesn’t matter. When I get off a flight, I’m not trying to sit there and let them take pictures of me. I’m tired. I’m scratching my eyes. I just don’t like taking pictures in general.

Complex: There’s been high profile couples in history: Justin and Britney, Jay and Beyoncé. Jay and Beyoncé kind of kept it private. Everyone knew they were together, but they kept it quiet. Even with the kid, they kept it so under wraps. Do you learn anything from those relationships? And do you guys talk about that?

JB: Yeah. I mean, for me, it’s like, there’s no way to hide it completely, because then it would be unfair for us. Then, we’re not even able to have a relationship. It’s like, “You take this car, and I’ll take this car, and then we’ll meet up at the spot. Then, you go in this door, I’ll go in this door. We’ll end up crossing ways. You get back in this car. We’ll cross over, do a James Bond. You go through the kitchen. I’ll go through the back area. Then we’ll meet in the dressing room and see each other.” At that point, it’s like, it’s not even a relationship. You’re just hiding from everyone. That’s unfair and unhealthy, man.

Selena debuts a new additional music video for Hit The Lights

Selena appears on On Air with Ryan Seacrest and opens up about her Kiss Cam at the Lakers game earlier this week, and Justin’s upcoming debut with Taylor Swift.

Asked about the Kiss Cam, Selena called it "the most humiliating thing that’s ever happened to me, probably."

“They were showing these little elderly couples, and it was so cute. Then all of a sudden we’re both looking up and we come on the screen and it’s like … it was so awkward. It was so weird. I mean you have to kiss, right?”

"They wrote a song together and it’s beautiful - it’s amazing - I don’t know if it will make the album, but if not I’m sure they’ll release it at some point, because it’s a really great record. Justin sits down with Sunday Times for an interview and reveals when news of his “love child” with Mariah Yeater broke, Selena called him right away. Justin also revealed that he wrote a song dedicated to Selena titled 'Be Alright.'

“She was like, ‘Do you see what they’re saying on the internet?’ I was like ‘Yeah.’ She was, like, ‘So…’ I was, like ‘No, it’s not true’. ‘Okay, thank you, bye!’ That was it, she trusts me."

“I’m going to call my girlfriend.” So he does, reaching Selena on the Florida set of her new film Spring Breakers.

“Whats up baby? I can’t stop thinking about you… I said I can’t stop thinking about you. That’s all. Yes, so, um, I gotta do this interview but I just wanted to call and hear your voice really quickly… Okay, I love you. Okay bye.”

May 25th:

Selena and Justin are photographed out for a lunch date at Benihana in Sherman Oaks. Afterwards the two snuck out the back door hand-in-hand. Selena then went her own way as she cruised to a nearby 76 gas station in Encino to fill her Ford Escape

May 27th:

Selena and Justin were strolling an outdoor mall in Calabasas when paparazzi began harassing them as they were trying to leave. According to witnesses (and photos taken) this photographer was so aggressive that he even blocked Justin's car, and was said to be rudely harassing Selena "about the herpes (coldsore) on her lip" while trying to capture a photo of her. After they began harassing Selena, Justin got out of his car and went to smack the camera from his hands and him and the photographer both fell off the curb.

The photographer was taken away by ambulance AND filed a police report that named Justin as the culprit. The Los Angles County Sheriff's office is investigating and say they will talk to Justin.

One of the girls who supposedly was there shared this:

"long story short; the paps were blocking his car and wouldnt move, he got mad after asking them to move, justin tried to knock their camera, the pap and justin both fell off the curb, he lost his shoe and hat while fighting him, selena and justin left and came back because selena lost her phone, and the paps would not get out of her face, and then they left and now the paps are trying to get money from the whole thing"

Another girl that was allegedly there as a witness had nearly the exact same story as above, except in addition she added the paparazzi were rudely asking Selena "about the herpes on her lip," and that's when and why Justin knocked his camera.

Detectives want to interview Justin and Selena after a photographer claims he was attacked by Justin at a Calabasas shopping mall Sunday, but authorities continue to seek additional witnesses.

In a statement released Tuesday, the Sheriff's Department said the investigation was continuing and that detectives "are planning to interview Mr. Bieber." Law enforcement sources said Selena is among the witnesses detectives would like to talk to. Detectives are investigating claims by the photographer that Justin struck him after he snapped photographs of Selena at the Commons at Calabasas Shopping Center.

The photographer complained of pain and was taken by the Los Angeles County Fire Department to a hospital, where he was treated and released, officials said. The sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation was ongoing, stressed that the probe was in its early stages.

Selena’s photoshoot and interview for her Elle cover is released where she briefly mentions Justin renting out LA's Staples Center for a private screening of Titanic:

June 11th:

Justin joined Selena's mom and step-dad at the Right to Laugh event hosted by the Alliance for Children's Rights at the Avalon in Hollywood. Selena's mom Mandy, a huge supporter of the organization, purchased an entire table to support the cause, and invited Justin to accompany her family.

"Selena and Justin sat side-by-side," a source tells PEOPLE.

"They were laughing and smiling the whole evening. They were being very low-key and gracious as to not take away any attention from the cause."

June 15th:

Justin officially releases his third studio album Believe and many of the album's songs are inspired by Selena and their relationship, including Be Alright, a song about their long distance relationship, that Justin wrote by himself:

June 28th:

Justin cut short a pre-taped interview with U.S. radio show Mojo in the Morning after the host compared him to Justin Timberlake and quizzed him about a potential romance between his mother and One Direction's Harry Styles.

Thomas Carballo, the host of the show, was in the middle of a phone chat with Justin when he (rightfully so) took offence at his line of questioning - and hung up.

The 10-minute interview got off to a bad start when Carballo told Justin he thought he was Timberlake the first time he heard him.

Justin said, "That's funny because our voices sound nothing alike... Saying I sound like somebody else is definitely not a compliment."

Justin eased up when talking about his new song Maria, which was inspired by the woman who falsely claimed he was the father of her baby last year, but he lost his cool when Carballo got personal and asked if he was worried about Harry Styles falling for his mum.

The DJ said, "Do you worry about Harry around your mum, since he likes older women?"

Clearly upset, Justin then mumbled something about Carballo's mother and, as the radio presenter explained his mum was dead, Justin had already hung up the phone.

A record company representative then tried to convince the DJ that Justin's phone had cut off, explaining, "I can't get him. He's in a really s**tty area."

She later revealed Justin was "really upset" with the questions, adding, "He probably won't be calling back."

hi! i finished reading immortal iron fist and there’s one thing i can’t wrap my head around. how old is wendell meant to be around the time he has danny? my math isn’t he best but do the events of the series not make him much older than danny’s mom? i’m relatively new to reading iron fist so i’m not sure if it’s answered somewhere else or if something went right over my head but i’m a bit lost by it all.

Hi! That’s a great question, and I don’t really have an answer because 1. the sliding timescale applied to all modern comics for their long-running characters (Danny has been around for nearly 50 years now) means that dates are always shifting because the characters don’t age in real-time, and 2. Orson Randall’s backstory-- and thus, Wendell’s-- is imprecise, possibly by design.

Ignoring any other context we have, this is Wendell’s backstory: He is an orphan who gets adopted by Orson when he’s maybe six or seven. He lives with Orson until his late teens, maybe even early 20s, at which point they part ways and Wendell travels to K’un-Lun. He lives in K’un-Lun for exactly ten years (we’re lucky, as Iron Fist fans, to have a clear method of measuring time baked right into the worldbuilding), and thus returns to Earth when he is in his late 20s/early 30s. He moves to New York, meets Heather, has Danny (right away, apparently-- Danny is nine years old on the return trip to K’un-Lun), and co-founds Rand-Meachum. Ten years later, in his late 30s/early 40s, he tries to get back to K’un-Lun and dies along the way. From what I can remember, we’ve never been told Heather’s age, but this timeline of events on its own doesn’t suggest any staggeringly huge age difference.

HOWEVER, as you noticed, Immortal Iron Fist does give us dates. We know that Orson began forming the Confederates of the Curious in 1928, which seems to have been only shortly before encountering Wendell. Wendell is with the group when they visit a speakeasy in Green Mist of Death (Prohibition in the US ended in 1933). We’re told he is fifteen in this early 1900s-looking steampunky scene:

Wendell: “No worries, boss! We gotcha covered!”

And then by 1963, he is gone, maybe in K’un-Lun, maybe elsewhere. If we remove the idea of the sliding timescale and say that Danny was nineteen in 1974 (the year his debut issue was published, which gave us his age), this timeline kind of works: If Wendell was born in 1920 he would have been 35 in 1955, the year Danny would have been born if he was nineteen in 1974. But we do know the sliding timescale is in effect, if only because Danny is (probably...) not 67 years old right now.

I think there are two answers here: an in-universe one and a stylistic one. In-universe, if you accept the Immortal Iron Fist backstory (and Iron Fist is filled with backstory retcons and inconsistencies, so you honestly don’t have to), we can say that Wendell was born in the 1920s. However, we also know that due to the effects of the chi of Shou-Lao, Orson not only aged slowly himself, but he also granted the people close to him supernaturally prolonged lives. It’s possible that Wendell was a teenager for twenty, thirty years. We just don’t know. There’s also his ten years spent in K’un-Lun to consider. The citizens of K’un-Lun are immortal, and the passage of time there doesn’t match the passage of time on Earth. (ASIDE: Another point to be made from all of this is that Danny, for these same reasons, could be much older than he looks! No Iron Fist writer has ever said this, but hey, it’s a reasonable assumption! I want Danny to turn to Luke one day and say “I’ve done the math, and I’m actually 85.” Marvel, please...) But anyway, regardless of the details, we can assume that Wendell didn’t age normally, because at no point are we told that he was extremely old when Danny was born-- he has always, even in Immortal Iron Fist, been depicted as middle aged-ish.

The other answer, as I said, is stylistic. It’s the idea that the passage of time is not the point; what matters most is the aesthetic of the stories. The Immortal Iron Fist team very clearly modeled the adventures of Orson Randall and the Confederates of the Curious off of old pulp adventure stories of the early 1900s. Just look at what we have: Orson tangling with the Lightning Lords. The battle on the rooftops of steampunk Harlem. The scantily-clad cowgirls. The evil mad scientist. All of these flashbacks embody the feeling of a specific genre of story, and the fact that those types of stories came out of a time period that would make the characters weirdly old seems irrelevant. The style matters more than the dates.

So I think my best answer is: Wendell and Heather were probably around the same age when Danny was born. It just might have taken Wendell a little longer to get there.

Just wondering,why do you think nobody has forced zayn to post about the baby? And is that a good thing or do you think he’s in trouble for it?

It is an interesting question, thank you for asking.

I think a lot of the reason he's been able to get away with it so far is the fact that they've been pushing this crap about him hating social media alongside him being an extremely private person.

A lot of the fans don't even question his lack of 'excitement'/posting because of his anxiety and the slow reduction over the past year of his social media presence. One of the articles that was questioning why zayn wasn't there went on to say that it 'isn't anything out of the ordinary. Its not really about him- he's not the one gestating a baby' [essentially saying hes irrelevant to the posts] and going on to talk about how he's 'notoriously private' and prefers being 'out of the mix' and saying their desire for privacy will only intensify, which is utter bullshit if Giggles latest posts are anything to go off- she's actually getting less and less private.

Also a lot of the baby related posts are all linked directly back to giggles, and rarely Zayn, we've only had 2 posts linking Zayn to being the father and the rest was a shit ton of articles. There's not many people questioning why he hasn't said anything, they're mostly just [alarmingly creepily] idolising his supposed child. They've never questioned his absence BC the relationship has always been tailored to favour giggles and make her out to be this amazing person.

All of a sudden giggles is the most amazing person and a Queen and the best everything. No one wants to remember a single bad thing she's done. I mean they don't question a single thing because they idolise her and her relationship so much they forget how badly this whole things has been played out through the drastic changes in bumps between pictures and don't even get me started on the shambles of the dates and timeline of this mess.

Also I'm not sure how well thought out and planned this whole thing was or whether it was a last minute decision of yes, there's quarantine and its more difficult to stunt so how can we carry this on??? Oh perfect quarantine baby announcement so people can't see the same patterns and flaws from the last two baby gates! [Or I also have the theory about how she may be pregnant [not zayns ofc] and that she fell pregnant around the time this one was announced randomly at 5 months in the middle of lockdown???? Like that's not weird at all...] Like you're trying to tell me she would be careless enough to get pregnant whilst being at the "peak" of her career and was unsure if Zayn was 'the one'... Okayyyyy.

Out of all the Hadids the only one who has explicitly used Zayn's name is Bella in her recent, and that was most likely to promo her new Versace perfume but z*gis didn't see how odd that was and ate that shit up BC omg Bella mentioned Zayn, couple goals!1!! The only other real indication they've had for Zayn being the dad is that hella photo shopped post giggles posted captioned as baby daddy and so now no one is questioning Zayn for not responding because the mother of the child confirmed it and they're obviously loved up and there's nothing else left to question at all is there?

Tbf though with all three of the baby gates it has never been made out to be about the 'father', they get next to nothing out of it. It has always been tailored to suit whatever narrative or promo the 'mother' needs because its all about the fame for them and what they can get out of it and just like hardly anyone questions [other than larries, ziammies or people who can see past the lies] Louis or Liam's involvement in their children's lives, unless theyre hating and calling them a deadbeat [once again proving they get nothing out of this but the 'mothers' do].

Giggles has proven time and time again that she loves capitalising off Zayns name, e.g. Mohameds recent [deleted post]- who started trending? G*gi and Z*gi, but not Zayn???? Why??? and then surprise surprise Giggles makes a post... And then, the first thing she does after Zayns posts a selfie after months of silence... The baby daddy post... And people don't even question this shit because being happy for Zayn means they love him so much!!1!!1!1!!! Like its funny how in this whole thing, everyone BUT Zayn has been getting some sort of promo from it. Seriously, go onto google, search Zayn and go on the news bar, not a single article there is Zayn centric, its all about Giggles or the 'pregancy' and Hadids.

Zayn has always been second place when it comes to Z*gi, despite the fact that she has used his name to get to where she is, [you can't deny how much her profile has grown since this shit started] Zayns music gets no attention from the media unless they make it about Z*gi- this has always been about boosting Jelenas career, and its evident about how much press this baby is getting over any of Zayns projects or music.

But no of course because some can see through the lies and question if Zayn is truly happy and actually look into this shit we are fake fans because we aren't playing ball and just being blindly happy for him.

Or maybe its to make people question less if they decide to go down the route of it turning out to not be Zayns child [DNA scandal or something?] Not sure on that one though now that Bella mentioned him... Tbf tho, until Bella mentioned him, if you look back at everyone elses posts, lives or interviews they have never mentioned Zayn, only ever mentioning giggles or 'they'. Honesly, its actually amusing how giggles posted that post saying baby daddy, Zayn actively ignored it, [its not like her posts could get lost in his feed when he only follows 27 people and he couldn't spare her a like i'm-] yet Bella managed to post a picture of Gigi saying baby mama, kind of embarrassing if you ask me, love.

Its funny how he's only hates social media when it suits the narrative. He was pretty active on social media this time a year ago, posting a few times a week or at least a few times every month, and then suddenly at the start of the year he's posting a bit and then, bang- nothing. All of a sudden Zayn hates social media and doesn't post for 5 months after years of regular posts...

So he can come online to post about UFC [which I find adorable] but he can't take a minute to like his pregnant girlfriends pictures and z*gis don't even question that??? It kind of says a lot about what Zayns role in the relationship is to them. Because Giggles is the queen don't forget, Zayn has no relevance unless it suits them or she posts a picture with him, after all, all he did was get her name out there!!!1!!

No one is even questioning Zayns family's lack of response on this whole thing and some of the shade they have thrown, purely because they liked a few posts or made a comment here and there so obviously Zayn is the father and he must be so excited because his family is liking the post, oh wait but he hasn't? No that's totally normal and not questionable at all.

They think being happy for Zayn equates to genuinely caring about him, when in reality its not the case because if they truly cared and weren't so far up Jelenas arse they'd be able to tell what was true and false and whether he was truly happy or not, simple.

As for whether he is in trouble or not, its hard to tell. I should think not, with all the crap he's having to endure the least they could do is leave him in peace. But they're evil personified so chances are they could be very pissed with him and waiting for this 'baby' to be born to wreak havoc and have him super involved. I doubt that would sit well with him though because its obvious to see how difficult he has found stunting since the beginning, this would be hell for him if they made him have to be active. I do have a feeling that BC we are in the endgame of some of these stunts [some contracts may be ending soon] that they could get a lot more in your face with it...

Or maybe because Liam has taken on the engagement they'll go easier on Zayn? I just hope Zayn is not made out to be the bad guy however this ends, he deserves better.

Ok i need to stop because there is so much wrong with this whole thing I could go on about it forever, but either way this whole thing is hella suss, regardless of what you believe. You can't deny it.

Die Drei ??? - Auxiliary AU, an Introduction

The Auxiliary AU is an AU where Jelena never became paralyzed and thus doesn’t have to use a wheelchair. Let’s just say things turned out a little bit different. So, before I start posting the most defining moments from the AU (aka scenes that changed the most or just my personal favourites - or random moments), I’ll run you through the AU and its characters briefly - under the cut:

The AU not only includes the German extended series (audio-)books, but also the movies released in 2007 and 2009 respectively. Why? Because they’re actually pretty great! I still won’t forgive them for some of the character changes they made.

The Main Characters

Obviously, this AU is centered around Jelena, but you should know very well that I can’t go without inserting headcanons about the three boys as well. It’s still die Drei ??? after all.

Characters are in the order they’d usually be named in, so First Detective, Second Detective, Third Detective/Records and Research ... and Jelena. Yes, she goes last because Justus would never name her earlier and yes, I want to keep the suspense somewhat, if there ever was suspense at all.

Soft and fluffy hair, but not as fluffy as Bob’s.

Trivia/Fun facts:

Transmasc and trixic. There, I said it.

Loves little rodents, especially mice. Cute little mice.

Bob Andrews

Appearance:

Again, I can’t draw boys, but here are some details:

Really fluffy, blonde hair

Always carries some kind of notebook and pens (Like in this picture by @not-entirely-bob-andrews)

Large, round glasses. By that I mean the only straight edges on them are at the earpieces and those aren’t that noticably straight. But they aren’t Harry Potter glasses either, so no perfect circles or elipses.

Freckles. That’s the only detail that I adore the movies for. Bob’s freckles.

off topic - let’s talk about gaylena 👀

selena gomez is one of taylor’s oldest and bestest friends and given that she is in the 22 liner notes, a huge part of taylor’s life, and maybe fruity herself it seems like possibly we don’t talk about her here at the blog enough!

i don’t want to do a timeline of selena and taylor’s friendship - you can read more about that here, but they met back in the day when they were both dating jonas brothers and to me this idea of finding a real friendship in the midst of these contrived promances is pretty adorable.

ofc most of y’all think taylor is a fruit basket but i think there’s a good chance that selena is too! i’m not saying she is for sure but y’all know me. i’’m here to make a compelling case that everyone and their dog is gay so let’s gooooo!

Part I - At least one fake rs!

Selena “dated” Taylor Lautner in 2009 and he’s definitely gay. Of course, that doesn’t mean she is, it could just be PR, but y’all know I gotta note everything! We stan our fruity bffs dating the same gays 😍

Part II - Selena x cara delevingne

i feel like there’s a chance they met through taylor but everyone in that squad adjacent circle knows one another. cara dated michelle rodriguez for the first half of 2014 and then got with annie clark in March 2015 but it feels like it’s possible something has gone on between her and Selena from summer 2014 - early 2015? ...maybe something casual on and off a bit?

Now I’m not super familiar with Selena’s discography so y’all lmk if I’m missing anything major - lyric wise that point to her not being straight.

Selena’s album Revival that comes out after this relationship has a few songs with some vibes, even though I get the feeling a lot of it is probably about Justin, allow me to reach. The title track could be translated as someone coming to terms with their sexuality (among other things):

They have a friendly enough friendship for a few years, liking one another’s posts on IG from time to time, posing for a photo a time or two and then they seem to get swept up into this very intense friendship in 2019. They write some music together and Julia goes whole hog in promoting the shoe brand Selena is hawking this time 😭

ok, after a couple hours crunching numbers, i just gotta list out the pros and cons here to get them out of my head so i don’t stew over it, and since i literally have no one to talk at for this, the void of the interwebs gets my babble. but below a cut so no one needs to pay attention, like you really shouldn’t

these are the main thoughts i’ve had while crunching the various numbers...and re/building several character sheets

Vitanya Windryder, half-elf Woodland Sniper Slayer pros; i’ve been hyped to play her for weeks, i’ve been practicing my accent, i finally get to give her the proper playtime she deserves, she doesn’t *need* to have her backstory resolved, i could probably argue to keep the thornblade for free because of backstory though (and it’s only 60g) cons; no distance sneak attack until lvl3, she looses her dead father’s magical wedding ring that gave her he bird form because it costs too much (like 5,000g i think) and i can’t really argue to keep that, must keep track of ammo because endless quiver costs too much, i might get frustrated that she’s “useless” in comparison to my ideal/original concept, new story might involve more indoor dungeon crawling (old one was described as “outdoors, mountain, woods”) so my sniper would ACTUALLY be useless then

Tenza, imperial sea-dragonborn River Soul Oracle pros; sounds like it’d be fun for me to rp, i love the design, interesting backstory that doesn’t really need to get resolved, minor healing options to help cons; backstory is too twisty, most likely unhelpful mechanically speaking, no homebrewing but would probably be a pain to program properly on roll20, i’d probably get made fun of for playing a guy again (even though they’re fluid)

Theodora Payne, kyton-spawn Swashbuckler pros; sounds like it’d be fun for me to rp, i get to do cool melee stuff, harrow cards, PINK cons; we already have talky characters and she’s talky (which i am not the best at, but i did wanna try), backstory would actually come into play (couldn’t be ignored/glossed over) so forcing more work on the DM, can’t play with my physical harrow cards so missing out on a portion of her rp appeal

Purrima Delgato, catfolk Varisian Traveler Cleric pros; fits the story perfectly, immediately helpful to the party because first level heals abound, minor harrow card shenanigans (that are more ok to just roll) cons; i didn’t wanna be the healer really, not that invested in her personality

Faybelle Mythe, catfolk Story Summoner pros; crazy cat lore, kinda funny given our world’s overall story, new class to try out cons; i’ve never played a summoner so no idea what i’m doing, extra work for the DM to program my eidolon, crazy cat means i’m useless at leadership (which i don’t really want anyways BUT my cats are almost the opposite of being helpful there)

Jelena is not an option primarily because she is for a different game and i’m still holding out that one will happen, but also the fact that her race build is homebrewed, so more trouble to program

Nemo...would annoy everyone more than help i think, and i honestly don’t want the “i mad no Vita” resentment to get stuck on her

also no Ironbroods are on the table, because idk if this is supposed to be set in our normal timeline...and i don’t feel like explaining them and getting made fun of for various parts (but mostly idt we want dragons floating around the town; that’d kinda negate a lot of the plot one would assume, but i’m ok with that)

my standing backups i made during the lockdown; -the Wyrd Warlock concept i had doesn’t fit the plot, and Wyrds might not be allowed -the Tiefling Hellfire Preacher doesn’t fit the setting, and idk if guns are cool -the Dwarf Dragonscion (i think?? the fighter archetype) doesn’t sound that appealing -the Priest i came up with never meshed well enough and again, didn’t fully wanna be the healer

i’m....probably gonna stay with Vita after listing all of this out. yeah she’s gonna be nerfed, but so is everyone else, and i loose out on a major strategic idea i had for her that had background flavoring. but considering how invested i got in her personality, is it worth throwing that out and resenting the next character that i’m only halfheartedly into, or keeping her and forgetting about what i lost.

A statement released by Justin’s publicist on Wednesday said his lawyers had not seen the suit reportedly filed by Yeater, but said:

“it’s sad that someone would fabricate, malicious, defamatory and demonstrably false claims. We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations.”

Rumors begin circulating that Selena and Justin have split in light of the Mariah Yeater allegations - late Friday afternoon, it was reported Selena had dumped Justin in the wake of the scandal.
