the cold air outside made your cheeks sting the moment you took a step outside of the dorm. with every breath you took, a small cloud of vapour appeared near your lips. to keep yourself warm at least the slightest bit, you held your hands inside the pockets of your jacket, which was something, although not much.

the freshly fallen snow crunched under your boots with every step you took. more snowflakes fell from the dark evening sky as you walked, some of them hitting your face and making you even colder.

“are we getting close to the café…?” your voice sounded hopeful and the person on your side couldn’t help but chuckle teasingly.
