What is interesting about seeing Jagganoth's backstory after meeting him in his current state is that like
When we meet Jagganoth in the present he's a force of nature, some intrinsic part of the universe and its cosmology, he is the fated butcher of reality. His titles proudly present him as THE DESTROYER OF THE SEVEN PART WORLD
But now seeing his backstory as told by sword grandma he just feels so... petty
He isn't some appointed executioner of the universe. He appointed himself
He's a hateful man who sees the horrors of the world and, instead of doing anything to make things better, using even a fraction of his immense power to help people... he decides that the world isn't worth saving, and that in fact it's only worthy of destruction
Tumblr media
The other six Demiurges may have seen the world as theirs to rule, but he sees it as his to judge, and his to execute
Jagganoth isn't a force of nature
He's just black pilled

They would be the absolute best friends if they ever meet and I have PROOF OF IT!
-Both want to end the entire universe as we know it.
-Both have a body count over the billions at least.
-Both have extremely powerful reality bending powers.
-Both have had insanely horrible childhoods that shaped them into who they are today.
-Both have insanely cool nicknames.
-Both have a huge theme of being holy/unholy and a entire army of angels under them.
-Both have a specific animal theme.
-Both just need some love.
-Both are autistic

I think I remember reading somewhere that all the gold mined since the beginning of human civilization, if basically pure and gathered in one place, wouldn't fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool
(which is less surprising than it seems given that one of the properties that makes gold so desirable is that you can beat it incredibly thin to coat other stuff)
Which means that, given there is enough gold in the vault of Yre to literally cover the ground you walk on, and some portion of that huge reservoir is depicted spilling into the city when Nadia Om attacks it and the walls break open, means that the aftermath of Allison and Cio's heist must have absolutely wrecked the economy of Throne, and possibly of many of the worlds linked to it. Or maybe Mammon has his worlds on a fiat currency, and Yre's gold reserves function more like Fort Knox. But still. I feel like it should have caused Problems.
