In me heart, Killer Frequency has like, 8 movies, 2 failed reboots, and a tv miniseries.
#the second movie sees henry tryign to somewhat adjust af6er marie stepped off whistling point.#He pulls an axel and ends up killing a buncha cops and shit to avenge marie#movie 3 sees marie return a la ft13 part 6. its very sexy. they go on a murder spree again and marie walks off into the mosty woods#while henry ia shot and left for dead.#movie 4 is full of red herrings and a mysterious figure turns out to be henry after he survived the shot. the duo reunite#movie 5 is the copycat killer thay is ultimately offed by marie and henry. henry is killed for real. undead marie is distraught#she goes on a rampage and gets exploded. the town thinks its all finally over#but henrys hand rises from a shallow grave in a post credits scene#movie 6 henry rolls up to exact revenge for his mom AGAIN this is probably where some of the kills have a sense of humour to them#movie 7 is the obligatory Whistling Man In Space movie. henry has been played by a wwe wrestler since movie 6#he shows.significant decay but turns out the alien nonsense suddenly made him powerful and idk brings back marie Again probably.#movie 8 was the crossover event slasher royale movie. marie and henry have an upper hand and emerge victorious.#the first reboot attempted to be super gritty and replaces forrest and peggy with college students with a campus radio program.#it was terribly received.#the second reboot attempted to place the focus on henry and made him the main murderer while saying he was possessed by a demon#this was one is widely considered to be the worst in the franchise.#the miniseries is a retelling of the original and is faithful to the source#its well appreciated for it even if critics said it was unimaginitive. the fans liked it bc it was clearly made for the fans.#why the FUCK have I put all these in the notes.#killer frequency#send help im so brain dill about this

Wait...so remember that episode where Dib is talking to the Tallest on Zim's monitor--do the Tallest understand what he's saying and vise versa? OR did Zim give the Tallest a stack of info on Earth's culture and languages ahead of time and they now of a inkling of a understanding of Earth speak? I know they never had a proper conversation, but that post about irken languages got me thinking about it 🤔
I think it’s funnier if the answer is no. Because despite Dib talking to the Tallest non stop, the Tallest never reply. They just stare at Dib and talk to each other about the size of Dib’s head. So the Tallest are watching this small creature with a massive head excitingly make a bunch of noises at them that they don’t understand in the slightest.
Meanwhile Dib is calling the Tallest alien scum and asking for their planet’s coordinates.

I finally saw the Barbie Movie and it was… really just a movie. Gave me something to do for two hours, but it didn’t feel substantive. Had some good messaging for women who needed to hear the same message the “brainwashed” Barbies needed to hear, even though that concept sounds patronizing now that I’m putting words to it. I have other thoughts, but voicing them feels a little like beating a dead horse. Women far smarter than I have provided incredibly cutting critiques of this movie and its portrayal white feminism, girlboss feminism, and capitalistic feminism.
#really weird that the genocide of indigenous people happened in Barbie Land too. I caught that Barbie Land Mt. Rushmore scene#no one making that movie probably thought of the implications of that#a part of me was wondering if I was Too Trans™️ for parts of this movie to make sense to me#because I have never understood the way we sort things into binaries and the way we gender things#So I was constantly like: '*This* is their masculinity?' There was no teeth in its critique of masculinity. Hell. There was no critique#there wasn't even a real critique of the patriarchy as a system of power or the masculinity it inspires#it was just a vague caricature of men and the idea 'Men don't understand us. They just talk at us rather than to us; mansplain and stuff...#...but they desire us and want our affection and attention so we can weaponize that to our advantage for our power.'#Umm...no you can't. i finally finished all the liquors and im currently catching up on our dating sim, and i gotta say... the difference in quality is insane. the acting, chemistry, writing, development, pacing, etc, all in two series with equal runtimes (8 short 15 min episodes). our dating sim is giving everything, down to the little moments and character arcs, and the lead couple is just so! sweet!! all the liquors was pretty much the definition of stilted and forgettable, but this proves it has nothing to do with runtime, and everything to do with how you put a show together
