For those of you following One Night on Britannia on AO3, all I'll say is today is February 13th!!

In our glorious alternate universe, we all know what happened 41 years ago tonight! 😉🫠

In honor of such event, I decided to wear my "Feelin' Festive" shirt and a pair of double heart earrings to work today. Call me crazy, but I can't help it.

I also wanted to say many thanks to all of your wonderful comments. I am always hesitant about posting any of my writings, but many of you have surprised me that you've continued to read, comment and support my crazy notion! I apologize to @grandmaster-anne and @thiziri for also inciting waves of tears! This story isn't yet finished, as I'm still writing, but I'm also mulling over a few new ideas.

The way how Nanami tears off his clothes when he gets home: his tie already loosened the second he gets in the car; the dents at the back of his stiff, expensive oxford shoes because he can't be bothered to take them off properly; the trail of clothes left along the hallway as he finally reaches you. You've been waiting for so long for him to come back home, to be in your arms again. All those hours spent in a dull trance, wary and anxious that he's been badly injured from this mission.

The second that the hallway lights spill from underneath the door, you stand up giddily, knowing that he's back.

'My love...' Nanami says breathlessly, the chill from outside still burning on his cheeks. You rush into his arms, relaxing at his touch.

'Thank god you're back, Kento, I missed you so much.'

'I know, honey. I missed you too.'

You help him to unbutton his shirt, knowing how much he hates being in his work clothes. Nanami is eager to kiss you the moment it drops to the ground, hands circling your waist to bring you in closely.

'I quit today. It's all over now,' He pants between your kisses. 'You don't need to worry anymore.'

'What? What's over?" You're praying hard between each second you hold your breath, the day has finally come -

'I quit the job. No more fighting, and no more curses. Today was the last day.'

With his words, you can almost feel how each and every fibre of muscle in his body finally relaxes, how something comes back to life in his eyes again when he looks at you. Something about loving someone so deeply has imprinted on your soul, to a point where you start to think that maybe you become your other half somewhere along the way. Maybe emotions aren't all for one to bear - when one's away, you can still feel the other's suffering.

'When Nanami's happy, you're happy' is an understatement. The two of you are euphoric as you hold each other; Kento sweeps you off your feet as he's unable to contain his joy.

"I might have to burn these clothes forever. I never want to see them again," He sighs after eventually setting you down.

"I know it'd remind you of the past, but Ken," You watch as he kicks the shirt, tie and harness to the side - "I do always love seeing you in a nice suit and tie."

He raises an eyebrow in response, making you giggle. "I'll just have to find a new signature colour for you, won't I?"

"I'd love that, Kento..."

"Come, let me show you how much I love you."

With one swift motion, he's got you in the closest room possible, making sure that the surface he pins you against isn't too uncomfortable - it's a little indecent that he could barely keep his hands off of you in the hallway, but with the way how you look tonight (it's simply the radiance that happiness gives you), he can't help himself. Kento Nanami is a lost man until you give him purpose.

Just as he nips at your neck, he pulls away, blond hair falling into his eyes. "I apologise for coming on so quickly, I just-"

"No need to ask Kento, I want you right now."

He nods, pressing a fervent kiss to your lips, almost shaking when he eventually pulls away. "Mhm?"

"And I'd want you again. And again. It can all be tonight or tomorrow, whenever," You pant between kisses. "We have all the time in the world."

Death comes to many too often, and even the life of a regular person can be cut short in an instant. Smaller threats outside of jujutsu sorcery still exist. But what's the point in thinking about that? In comparison to Nanami's previous daily life, it feels like nothing can harm him now.

Maybe, just maybe, both of you can grow old together, like this.

I'm only on like chapter 4 but I really like the way Migi to Dali is handling the idea of irrational childhood fears when experienced by two twelve-year-olds with seemingly very little interaction with normal human society. like why WOULD the twins know what wigs are and why people have them? they don't need them to survive! they're completely superfluous! I don't think they've had much space for superfluous things. they're used to everything being a life-or-death matter with only each other and their wits to save them. thinking the parents are going to steal their hair and then make their escape on what looks to be a biplane is a very twelve-year-old thought process, but it makes sense that they would immediately assume they're in danger.

i was on insecam and i found some fascinating shit.

now, context, i really like finding random cameras and sometimes finding where exactly theyre located on google maps. its a fun little activity. and while i was scrolling through home cameras, i found one in japan with a really strange detail?

it says "fuck you spikehunter" underneath and i immediately went to google who the fuck is spikehunter.

i couldnt find anything of value except fer one video uploaded to vimeo a while back, titled "fuck you, spikehunter, they only have eyes for you". the thumbnail of the video is this:

the video is literally just a bunch of insecam & camera feed with music overlayed. theres really nothing more to it. id look more into it, but its late and i dont even know where i'd start.

i have no clue if this is real, er if this is some fucked up weird little arg i stumbled across, but i cant find any information on it and i would LOVE to see more people bring attention to this cause i feel like i found some genuinely really interesting stuff.

you dont need to go out on a hunt, but i ask that people reblog this so i can eventually get an answer as to who spikehunter is.

Creators I love you but it's time to wake up

Among rumors about our tumblr user data being sold off to Midjourney/Generative AI, recent Extremely transphobic events (that have been ongoing) coming to a head, another extremely concerning internet censorship bill being pushed in upper levels of government, and a general air of frustration over how the site belongs to and is operated by perhaps the second stupidest CEO (second only to twitters own) of our age, I'm very done with the last few vestiges of what the old internet held for artists.

And if you're reading this, you probably are too.

I know we're tired. We are all tired. It is not always viable to pack up shop and move, again and again and again.

From tumblr to twitter to anywhere else we've ever grown up posting, things no longer work. Our audiences are kneecapped by aggressive and hostile algorithms, our reach is abysmal - if we aren't shadow-banned or silenced for one (transphobic) reason or another, we're thrust into an ever growing pit of hostility where the only thing that drives clicks is fighting and contention.

We're tired. We're so fucking tired. We aren't businesses, we aren't content mills, we cannot keep this pace that modern social media has set for us, to wring every ounce of creativity out of us to profit from and leave us rotting.

The key to staying afloat here, and I cannot stress this enough, is to stay connected to your peers.

Pack up and move as units if you must. Exodus from the sites that are killing us. Push your entire friend group of artists to move from one site to the next that promises you a kinder experience.

Art drives movements, it drives change, it is all that encompasses being human. If you take that away from the shitty places, they will be left with nothing but a cesspit of inhumanity and the people who follow you will be more incentivized than ever to move with you.

Yes, this is terrifying. There are no guarantees. There never was, and never are, and never will be.

But stay connected. Stay human.

Support each other and be willing to hold hands and jump when we all - as a group - need to jump from the flames we're all trying to convince ourselves wont kill us before rescue comes.

Rescue isn't coming, rescue will be found hand in hand with each other. I'm offering you my hand, please take it. There's always a new start, there are always helping hands reaching for you. You have to look up from the doom-scroll long enough to see and take them.

remember that theory on the nct dreamverse about jisung forcing the members to stay with him on this imaginary realm/time loop/dream so he wouldnt be alone........ im starting to think its true... bro looks sus af in these new teasers because whats this ??

and like this is not even his first time breaking the 4th wall......

thats: chewing gum, joy, synchronization of dreams and rainbow.

bonus: (its very long, sorry)

the video NCTmentary EP3. Empathy is literally about how the dreamies are conected to each other thru dreams. and theres a scene where jisung says "last night i had a dream"

and then we get jaemin saying he had the same dream as jisung and that he thinks he was "lured by something" and felt like he was "wrapped in smoke", which is interesting because the other dreamies talk about how they think they saw each other in their dreams but none of them say they were actually there or lured by something (none of the other dreamies shared a dream with jisung, just jaemin).

also !! when the members talk about the dreams they had about each other they are together in reality, but jisung is the only one thats alone on a room writing about it on his diary instead of actually talking to someone (another member or the camera).

when jaemin talks about his dream with jisung, jisung is also not there, and the scene we see of them together are the scenes of the dream (theyre wrapped in smoke). so jisung is never seen with the members in the real word.

and then on EP.4 Synchronization of Dreams is when we get this scene

the full scene shows jisung entering the room, the rest of the dreamies were already there watching the tv not moving at all.

on DREAM LOOP : The Last Midnight #1, jisung is the only member that immeditely assumes theyre trapped on a dream, with little to no proof, he just remembers (and we see someone kept a diary, im sure it was him, again) and he's the one to tell the members "i think we're locked in here"

on EP5. Back to the Reality, they explain to us that reality is "a world with limits" and so the dream lab was "created to break these limits in reality". they also say one of the stages they can reach its called "dream in a dream" where "the dream can influence reality".

now we get kun telling us about a dream he had where he saw a door and we get these scenes:

thats jisung !!!! on the inside of the dream door !! like-

which is something we ALSO get to see on EP3. Empathy, while hes writing about his dream on his diary (he's the only member ever shown by the door):

and when the narrator explains how to come back to reality they show a bit of jisungs dream with the smoke but this time is on reverse, as in deleting all their progress.

NOW all of those are actual canon events on the nct universe so whats the theory.

theres a lot of versions of the same thing but they all conclude the same: jisung doesnt want the members to leave this imaginary realm/time loop/dream theyre trapped in.

why ? the main theories ive seen are:

-the dreamies are not real and jisung made them up as imaginary friends but this dream in a dream state that can influence reality made them lowkey real ?? but they dont exist in the real word so to leave the dream world would mean to lose them.

-the dreamies died and jisung has them trapped on a loop where they dont get to ever die. jisung can come in and out of the loop/dream but the members cant.

in every version of the dream in which the members are aware that theyre trapped, they want to leave. either because they don't know what would happen if they do or because they just want jisung to let go and get to have a real life without them.

at the end of DREAM LOOP : The Last Midnight #2, the members solve all the puzzles to get out of the loop correctly but right after they leave the dream world thru the door the day starts again with jisung saying theyre trapped on a loop.

this implies jisung is succesfully controling the realities where the members exist and that even if he reveals to the dreamies that they are trapped in a dream, they still wont be able to leave.

so jisung is using the dream lab to break the limits of reality by keeping the members trapped because they wouldnt exists if not for this.

and then i think all the different universes we've been seeing the members go thru as 7DREAM (like all the chapters of DREAM-VERSE or Production : Stranger Seven) are realities jisung is making up to keep the members together forever, but it probably gets more and more difficult each time.

maybe we get to see them scape this comeback ?? i mean its literally called [DREAM( )SCAPE].................

When Jungkook steps out of the bakery, snacks and beverages in his hands, he pauses for just a moment. It was easy to escape the cashier's conversation. Easy to soothe the worries she'd fallen into it.

What's not so easy is watching that stranger so close to you, sitting on the bench, laughing at whatever you're saying.

Jungkook isn't necessarily the jealous type – as long as the debate doesn't shift to damn perilla leaves or you don’t end up naked in someone else's bed, there's not all that much that will drive him up the wall.

But tonight is reserved for the two of you. Any other disturbance has no place here.

So he shakes his head, clicking his tongue, scoffs as he steps next to you slowly.

When you notice, your laughter pauses, and you look between the men before you enthusiastically introduce, "Ah, Kook! This is Taemin. Just found out he went to the same college as we did."

"Really?" Jungkook questions, squinting his eyes. "Never seen you there."

"I graduated years ago," Taemin says with a tender smile; sweet enough to melt angels' hearts.

"Ah. How old are you?"

"Twenty-nine. Why?"

"Just asking."

"Uhm, in any case," you say, getting on your feet. You don't think Taemin's anyhow harmful; but the animosity between them is palpable. Or at least from Jungkook's side. "This is my boyfriend Jungkook."

You laugh nervously, and then add, "Was nice to meet you. We'll be going then."

"It was nice talking to you, too," Taemin says softly, unbothered as hell; the opposite of Jungkook whose irritation swims to the forefront of his eyes.

Only when you've left his periphery and you've linked your arm with Jungkook, do you realise just how much the picture of Taemin and you annoyed him.

Stoic silence accompanies you for half a mile, no matter how many times you thank him for the food, or compliment the town, or crack a horrible joke.

And then, you break.

"Are you mad at me?"

He shakes his head. "No. I'm not mad at you."

"But you're mad."

"I... no, it's fine."

"But," you start, tapping his knuckles, "your fists are pretty firm. And your jaw is clenched."

"I'm fine, angel."

“I don’t care about Taemin, by the way.”

“Okay. He’s too old for you anyway,” he suddenly says.

“Huh?”

“Nothing.”

You argue, “You said you’re fine.”

“Yeah. I’m honestly okay.”

"Or jealous." He grants you one ominous glance, and you widen your eyes, immediately defending, "I'm just saying. You don't have a reason to be jelly, though."

"Why's that?"

"Because," you start, halting your steps. You look into his eyes, and smile with a slightly tilted head. "I'm yours. I told you and... I meant it."

You're not sure where your courage is coming from. Day and night, you question his feelings, constantly wondering what he might be thinking of you. Or how often you occupy his mind at all.

That you're soothing his worries now, vowing your undying loyalty to him is a bigger step than you realise.

But it does the trick. The crease between his eyebrows relaxes. He blinks at you.

"It's not... you're not who I'm mad at," he admits, "that was true. I'm more pissed at myself for overthinking, you know? Now I know how you felt when we spoke about Nara... The ache in your eyes, I could see it."

You're taken aback – not quite expecting for him to mention that day. Or Nara. Or to feel anyhow similarly to how you hurt back then.

But you don't understand.

"But it was just a guy from college," you assure.

"That's not the problem, really... I just. Do you–" He licks his lips, chuckling about his own idiocy. "Do you ever talk to other men and think how easy life could be with them? Like Seokjin. Do you ever feel like it would've been easier with him?"

"What's it?"

"Just. Life. Love. Your future."

Crazy.

To hear him voice his worries like that.

He's right... it feels like the conversation weeks ago. Back then, you wondered whether a childhood friend like Nara could've been the easier choice. How you could compete against her.

"No," you tell him firmly, placing a hand under his ear, "do you? Like, ever regret being with me like that."

"No." His answer comes just as fast – but he still looks conflicted. "Never. But it scares me to see you laughing with someone else. Not because I doubt where your heart lies, but... 'cause I want to feel right for you."

Your heart pounds in your chest. He's never talked about whatever lingers between you so blatantly. It feels like a breakthrough moment.

"Is that why we're both here? You want to feel like you're right for me. Or... want to confirm that you're enough to make me happy."

"I..." He waits. Looks at you so softly, it hurts. "It's not just that. Tonight belongs to us. Tonight wasn't supposed to be about Taemin, or any other man I deem a better fit for you."

"It still belongs to us," you tell him, moving closer. "Taemin, or Nara... none of them matter, Jungkook."

He doesn't speak.

You look down to his hand, tangling your fingers.

Move your eyes back to him slowly, eyebrows raised in question. He opens his mouth, nervous and blinking. When he doesn’t speak, you ask, “Jungkook?”

“I need to tell you something.”

There's always this thing among fans of longstanding video game franchises like the Legend of Zelda where people have to insist that the older title people didn't like was actually quite good, and it's been really funny to see people try to do this with Skyward Sword despite it aging like milk.

Any video you see trying to do a serious retrospective has to be like, "Yeah, the controls were bad, and the bosses were a bit repetitive, and most of the dungeons weren't that interesting, and the story was poorly paced, but it's really a good game!" like please. Please stop trying to force this.

Also, just as an overall observation, I really can't help but wonder how much better things might be if we actually tried to teach kids about the complexities of the world, rather than "Protecting Them."

(But that's the one thing the right wing literally can't stand, so god forbid we do that.)
