Endlessly tickled by the idea of Akira being a good shot but a shit gamer. I like to think its cause hes got incredible hand eye coordination and super steady ‘surgeon’ hands; hes very good with precise movements, but panics when he has to do brain melting inputs. His brain can keep up but its hard to make his hands follow suit. Its why u can have him be dogshit at arcade cabinets; panicking with the little joystick and button mashing like mad, while having him be a beast at things like darts and billiards.

The only arcade games he can play is house of the dead-esque shooting games (hes literally at the top of the leaderboards for MILES and he draws crowds whenever he plays) and DDR cabinets (hes just very light on his feet)(NOT to be confused with stepmania; he would die if he had to do arrow inputs with his HAND). Its kinda fun to watch him fumble with the other silly gimmick cabinets, but its more entertaining to watch him do what hes good at. If u take him to play darts, and if the darts are super cheap, he will absolutely try his best to split them down the middle each time. Doesnt always work, but its insane to know that he lands the bullseye literally 100% of the time.

four to doomsday is a funny serial because it’s objectively kinda dull but it’s so SO good at showing us what makes fivey and his friends tick

#doctor who #especially because 5 is out of comission for a lot of Castrovalva #or at least he hasn’t quite settled into his rhythm yet #and 4todoom is an excellent example of how a ‘second ep’ is a vital part of a new doctors initiation #just plonk the doctor and Co down somewhere and see how they react!#we see his designated driver ‘oh shit where’s heathrow’ role #but also his energy and even a bit of mischief #making faces at the security bots and that little smile when he blocks the camera with his hat #and his tetchiness too - ‘ah! you’re spoiling my concentration >:(#I also love that scene where they’re watching the dancing and Tegan is like ‘what are we doing the vibes are off’#but five explains that he needs time to think so just look like you’re enjoying yourself #before cheerfully waving at their hosts #it’s a nice microcosm of how his outward ‘politeness’ is very much a facade #also we get some good scenes to show how team 5 works #nyssa and adric being impressed with the logic vs the doctor and Tegan’s knowledge of earth (and dry humour)#‘how’s your ancient history Tegan?’ ‘like I feel - awful -_-‘ ‘not to worry mines pretty good!’#iTS SO GOOD #I will defend this serial I have so many thoughts #fifth doctor #5th doctor #season 19 #Tegan #adric #nyssa #classic who

if my ass is in bed by 11pm on a work night it is a literal miracle from god that happens once every 2 weeks. sincerely i can't even imagine wanting to go to bed that early like....she probs doesn't get home till 5 or a bit before that how does someone even do this

#i've taken to going to sleep 'early' (before midnight)#and waking up early on weekends? it's nice #although i'm not gonna lie #when left to its entirely own devices my natural circadian rhythm still is a 4am bedtime #but anytime before 11 is sincerely too early :/

What the books he borrowed said to do, the ones that he forgot to finish but hey, at least he had cigarette savings to spend on library fees. after six years of the game being out and after three and a half years of me actually playing the game i have finally beat botw. did u know finishing video games is. fun,,

#hey its not as bad as norn9 where im only a third in after six years. and rhythm thief took me a genuine decade #im very good at taking my time #MY IMPRESSIONS its a good game :) i think i had a little over 100 hours by the end. one thing about the final boss fight though -#it made me kinda miss like true classic zelda scripted boss fights LOL but lots of fun!#some of the dlc stuff i couldnt do like the champions ballad and the sword thing RIP had to look up the cutscenes later~#theyre tough! but also my playstyle has always been a bit of. just run and go for it #planning and stealth is not my strong suit. by the end i was running directly up to guardians and just killing them before they killed me #i can eat kebabs faster than they can shoot lasers. i am unstoppable #the soundtrack was nice! subdued obvs since its open world #but the standout tracks are really standout. of course i love rito village night ver being dragon roost island #and the hyrule castle theme turning into zeldas lullaby in the internal parts hit me #and of course the main theme is iconic. i like the version with the hard break in the middle the most i love that cut so much #i know people edited it out and in the live version its not as harsh because its live #but i LOVE IT i love it so much. mix of synthetic breaks with a fantastical and traditional sounding theme. awesome #that whole 3 and a half years before i got a copy of the game (i wanted to beat skyward sword first) i didnt look up like anything #didnt pay attention to anything people were saying. heard something about it being open world. heard some speedruns were like an hour #and i heard the theme. and i listened to that theme on repeat for all those years. so so good #now i will probably do that for totk- not knowing anything about it for three years until i finally play it LOL thats how it is so far #people have told me about it. but truthfully i wasnt really listening. sowwy. i was focused on botw orz #but i wanna play something different now. take a break. also wait until i can find someone selling totk used for under 70 cad KJDLJFKDSJDKS #i am NOT paying nearly a hundo for a videoed game nintendo you cant make me #maybe now i should finish all the other games in my backlog. or i could start 5 new ones. hmmmmmmmm
