Made a drawing based on retro scifi stuff. Also added a few things from games I played. Title: Future as imagined in the past
It includes an iterator can from Rainworld, and an automaton from Frostpunk.

RainWorld-Regions: "Distant Fathoms" Collapsed Can
Soon after the ancients have disappeared, it didn't take long for the support struts for both the floating complex and "Distant Fathoms" Can so slowly buckle under the crashing force of the unending monsoons. Eventually the struts gave way, and most of the complex and "Distant Fathoms" can soon vanished into the depths.

Finally posting this AU here;
It’s 1 year anniversary of this AU!!
CW: This au contains general dark themes, brainwashing, non-consensual body modification, violence, machine gore, etc. please read at your own risk!
This is my rw au(Project Triple Affirmation), it takes place in a setting where the Ancients are still alive. One day, Looks to the Moon announces that she has found the Triple Affirmative—the answer to the Great Problem: to eliminate death by uploading all consciousnesses to a virtual reality, for without death, there is no rebirth, thereby breaking the cycle. She sees herself as the savior of everything, granting an ethereal eternity.
To put it into simpler words: Moon with her local group killing everything and uploading their victim’s consciousness to FP’s processor(a virtual reality).
While Moon claims that her plan “Solves” the Great Problem, her real agenda is far more radical: she wants to play god. To create a new world in her vision.
There’s still a lot more lore in this au, I’ll slowly get to them in my later posts.

hi sorry in advance if this is weird but i couldn't for the life of me figure out who machete was reminding me of and just now i figured it out - surku the dog from the moomins. can't remember enough to tell how accurate that is personality wise but something about the image of a distressed pointy-nosed dog shivering in a coat... plus ne on molemmat ahdistuneita queer ikoneita
I love Surku! Surku must be protected at all costs.
If you ask me, he's even more distressed in the comics.
I keep him on my fridge door as well.
But now that we're on the topic of Moomin characters, I must add that I see Machete in various Fillyjonks a lot. The short story Fillyjonk who believed in disasters is one of my favorite pieces of literature ever, when I first read it it shook me to my core, I still revisit it on yearly basis. For someone who seemed so wild and free spirited by nature, Tove Jansson did remarkable job at catching and depicting the essence of anxiety, uncertainty, vague sadness and irrational fears. At least in my opinion.
