About how lonely and tired he must have been, surviving two decades as the last of the family he wanted to protect? About how, even before that, no one actually knew him?

Do you ever find yourself thinking about how he must have felt when he died? How, although disappointed in himself and angry with the white shit, he may have felt relieved? That he might have thought 'It's over', at his last moments? That, maybe he had waited to rest? To reunite with the people he had lost?

Do you ever wonder how he must have felt when that wasn't the end? When he was offered the life and safety of the people he loves, of the hometown he lost, at the price of not being there to see it? To meet them again?

Do you ever think about how still he accepted it? How he decided to give his name, body, and identity to someone else and live as a strange in a strange world, only so a family that doesn't know him could live safely and happily?

Do you ever wonder if the God of Death pitied him? If maybe that's why he told him about his mother's current incarnation? Because that wasn't on their deal. Or if maybe he was worried that he would brake? If he decided to tell him as a mercy for a person who had lost everything and couldn't get to rest... Or to give him an anchor to fulfill his new role in that world?

Do you ever find yourself thinking of how crazy, one-sided, platonic love og!Cale has? How his way to love is so selfless and deep? How his love fits with the definition of agape to a T?
