like let her bully the Doctor into trying to teach her Gallifreyan and them be shocked when she actually starts to pick it up. have her and the TARDIS communicate and the ship indulge her whims a little when she's irritated with the Doctor. write her and her Spaceman getting into some touch telepathy shenanigans and have it turn out to be far more two way than they intend.

i don't even need a justification for it. we've got an easy handwave for just about anything with the metacrisis, but. unnecessary. i will eat it up regardless

imagine: you get your memories back after years of amnesia to find out your whole species is dead and earth doesn’t exist anymore. that the only thing left of your culture is your weird ex and his busted honda civic that barely even works that he stole from the government when he was 13. And he’s been taking members of an alien species for trips in his honda civic and they’re all like “woah it’s so cool” and you get upset because it’s NOT COOL it’s a honda civic, the turn signals don’t even work “wow it can go up hills” yeah OF COURSE IT CAN GO UP HILLS EVERY CAR COULD DO THAT. but they’ve never seen a car before so everything it does is the coolest thing ever. I just rewatched David Tennant’s doctor regeneration into Matt Smith scene and I totally forgot that the Ood sing him a song as he goes. It’s one of the first times in a long time where he’s alone it’s Christmas, he’s scared and struggling to stand and “the universe sings him to sleep”. Even when he doesn’t have a companion the whole universe sings him to sleep, he’s never truly alone the universe is thanking him for his sacrifice and care in his last moments.

If they ever bring David Tennant back for a special episode (again), it should literally just be a bit of him sat in a coffee shop, chill vibes, until the Tardis goes sailing past the window with like seven aliens chasing after it, and Tennant just takes a sip of his tea like not my problem not my problem not my problem -
