Yea expect those a lot…

He’s use to company’s butting heads with him, but he always squashed them in under a day! If not less!, so he was bewildered when you just kept popping up everywhere. He doesn’t even know how. half of the channels in hell are owned or under his name! Or at least played on HIS tvs!.

And when he released a product only for the next day for it to get a bit over shadowed by yours he loses it. He immediately thinks your doing this on purpose, he thinks your doing this as a means to get his attention.

Will never admit it but he bought one just to break it outta rage but after a bit he understood the hype, will take this to his second death bed.

He’s never had a good look at you before maybe a small invention or gala for some of the highest company owners in hell. And let me tell you when this man saw you he was shocked, it took velvet to snap her fingers for him to get out of his trans-like-state. He’s more embarrassed then he’s ever been, not only are your products prove to be a good runner up to his but you were making min lose his breath.

He didn’t wanna believe at first before velvet confirmed it to him.

And may i say, the minute you glanced at him and gave him a charming smile while waving your hand at him with a small glint of pride in your eyes, he actually had a system crashed screen as his whole system rebooted.

It wouldn’t be long till you made your way over to him trying to introduce yourself(•̀ᴗ•́)و

Honestly he couldn’t think straight until you excused yourself to talk to another business owner. He dosent understand, for all the years he’s been dead how is his heart beating so fast for you?

In denial about any feelings towards you, it can’t be! He despises you !, right?

Takes him a bit to work up the courage to talk to you again, as he introduced himself properly with as much passive aggressive charm he could muster. Only to be confused at your sweet yet passive aggressive smile as you shook his hand with such care

How can someone be so competitive yet so sweet?

He didn’t understand even though he knew your intent, and the underlying nature in your interaction. He still found it charming, and shocking at you technical level and marking tactics. He isn’t happily impressed, but he is definitely impressed, he would never show that though of course.

It always seemed no matter how much of a short time between releases you always managed to make it better he just didn’t understand how!. How did you have such short time to perfect something that he’s been working at for months!

He soon realizes out shinning you or squashing you business wasn’t gonna work. You guys were too evenly matched, it would be through pure luck that one of you would out shine the other one day and not the next. So he did the best next thing, purposed a business deal (quite reluctantly might I add)

To just merge company’s he knew your rise wouldn’t falter anytime soon.

At first you felt like this was a trick, to steal your soul or take you out while your walls were down. But he quickly explained it’d be easier to just have you work on things and share the profit (surprise, surprise)

Now you can decide weather you accept or not!

But after that meeting he would call you over for many more strictly for business meetings! Definitely not just desperate to spend time with you or anything

Even when you proposed to just, email, or text, he still declined saying he found it easier to say what he needed out loud. Definitely…. (≖ᴗ≖✿)

Sooner or later you’d catch on, or some people on the news would gossip of your “secret affairs”

You would soon confront him about this, and let me tell you this man is decent at standing under pressure in some if not most situations expect this one.

I feel like he wouldn’t admit it till MANY months later cause he’s just that stubborn

He just hates it, he hates your stupid smile, the way you make his stomach do back flips, the small glint of happiness and pride when your product is loved and bought by the millions. He hates the smile you keep even if at a rivalry with him. He hates everything about you, he hates it, he hates it so much he ends up realizing he loves it.

Yea he is one complicated man….

But once he finally admits it, and you end up giving it a shot. This guy would try to act like he wasn’t about to shut down, like his inner fans and vents weren’t about to self implode, he’d act cool and collected about it but behind closed doors he’s quite literally smiling like a dope

NOW if this were released to the public, the mess that would ensue is scandals upon scandals.

Overall! I feel like even if it was a one sided rivalry I feel like it would quickly turn to both of you butting heads. Cause to out shine the king of tech himself is quite the challenge, and you being able to do that says a lot!, he’ll be holding a grudge even into a relationship and still would get competitive here to there he would definitely still study your work to see how you improve so fast!. Still in the end of the day he’ll still dote on you behind close doors!

The thing I love most already about My School President is how Tinn helps Gun. He doesn't do stuff for him, he just...facilitates? Like the music competition, he didn't throw it to him with his own vote, and even his campaigning behind the scenes wasn't gonna do it, he just put Chinzhilla in the minds of the audience and then trusted Gun to knock their socks off. He doesn't save the club outright, but steers Gun toward the one competition in the time frame that would give him a shot to stay afloat. Tinn pushes Gun, challenges him, and Gun always rises to the occasion, which makes him fall even more in love with him. I love that dynamic.

This Week in BL - All the Penultimate DOOM

Jan 2023 Wk 4

Being a highly subjective assessment of one tiny corner of the interwebs. Organized by which ones (in each category) I’m enjoying most. (Posted early this week cause I running a seminar all day tomorrow.)

Ongoing Series - Thai

My School President (Fri YT) ep 8 of 12 - Gun is SO MUCH better at flirting than Tinn. Also Fourth is a killer little actor. GMMTV, man, how do they always find ‘em? The side couple is also getting to be good. Should this show be in the running for 10/10 status? Probably. But it’s never gonna get there because of all the singing. (I gotta stay true to my brand.)

Never Let Me Go (Tues YT) ep 7 of 12 - I can see why everybody giffed the wrestling on the bed scene. It was v cute and a great opener. I like that the backstory we got was a good explanation for Palm and his father’s extreme loyalty. Fastest proposal to wedding I’ve ever seen. Outside of Vegas, of course. NO SINGING. OK the “this is how couples kiss” kiss was really REALLY good.

Between Us (Sun iQIYI) ep 11 of 12 - Doomy doom doom. Only not. It was more like doom lite. Except for those of use who hate singing. Then it was extra spicy doom torture. And unlike Pete, I do not like it. WATCH ALONG HERE.

609 Bedtime Story (Fri WeTV) ep 10 of 11 - Doomy doom doom, ALSO. GamesVee schilling for marriage equality. Has to happen every single show now? But at crying kiss? YES PLEASE. 6 month time gap. Honestly, WeTV didn’t serve me the first half of the ep this week, and I don’t really care. Apparently it was amnesia. Meanwhile, Mum stepped aside for emotionally immature obsessive sister. And now she’s marrying Dew. Bonkers. I hate this experience.

Cutie Pie 2 You (special) ep 4fin - And a wedding, and everything sweetness and light, in Korea we are boys do not kiss like that, and the end. Honestly we didn’t really need this special, but I’m not upset about it. 7/10 RECOMMENDED BUT ONLY IF YOU’VE SEEN THE SERIES

I Will Knock You (Fri Gaga) ep 11 of 12 - Doomy doom doom only pulp style. The parents, understandably, do not approve. Noey’s plans for the future are kind of cute. He’s such a baby.

Hit Bite Love (Sat YouTube) ep 1 of 6 - Opens with a bj. That’s certainly novel. Honestly? This is giving me So Much in Love meets Club Friday vibes. Which is not a good thing. But starting with secret lovers (Ken & Shokun) breaking up is at least different. There is also a cute new kid in a friends-to-lovers geeky thing happening (King & Burger). Subs are TERRIBLE. But my Thai is good enough now for me not to mind as much as I once did. Do I like this show? Noo…oo? But I’m gonna keep watching it. I have a pretty high tolerance for Thai pulps. After all, I’m one of the few people on the planet who actually watched So Much in Love.

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

The New Employee (Korea Weds Viki) ep 6 of 8 - Criminal how utterly gay and cute they are. Matching pajamas indeed. ALSO honorifics discussion!!!! Yay! (There was seal clapping on this side of the screen.) “Do you want to see my cat?” is a great pick up line. It would totally work on me. To be fair, “do you want to see my dog” would also work. Always been an equal opportunity player.

HIStory 5: Love in the Future (Taiwan Weds Viki) ep 5 of 10 (or 9&10 of 20) Wynn in the icebox = such an old-school trope, it’s practically kidnapping for love. Pouty McHotterton remains regrettably evil and should have been fired. Vincent is too nice for his own boy’s good. Then... random confession time! I guess extreme cold makes people brave/drunk? But why didn’t he take him to the hospital to get treated for hypothermia? I’m so confused. Still these office boys are so cute and sincere and awkward. They’re killing me The other two are basically a married odd couple. Rich boy just wants to be looked after and coddled and spoiled. Jonny is very daring but also acts unconsciously and on pure instinct. I kind of like their dynamic. It’s sort of teasing, and cool, and modern.

Candy Color Paradox AKA Ameiro Paradox (Japan Fri Gaga) ep 6 of 8 - Kenta domination continues. Of course my beloved charismatic boy ends up being complex but evil. Could I just get a wholesome age gap BL starring him now, please? I’m not picky. He’d be GREAT in Our Dining Table... just saying. Sorry, distracted. Back to the main couple... they’re pretty I suppose. I do like how huggy they are. Also, multiple kisses. What is this world coming to? All very unusual in JBL.

Individual Circumstances (Korea Thurs Viki) ep 3-4 of 8 - The stalking continues, and it’s boring. Korea doesn’t have any excuse to be boring, they don’t have enough time to spend on it in a BL. I read the first installment of the Semantic Error manwha (available in English translation legally). It’s similar to the show, although not exactly the same. Some scenes are in different orders etc. There’s not much of the story in the first installment, and I don’t think it was worth the money. The art was fine, pretty typical of the genre, nothing to really recommend it or stand out from the pack. If it did nothing else, it made me realize how much the Parks brought as their roles, because as manwha characters they did not resonate with me at all and came off as pretty flat. Brutal assessment, I know. You thought I was a harsh BL critic, I’m 1000x worse to books.

Reuniting after a long separation::

Tinn was starting to think he wasn’t cut out to be a rock star’s boyfriend. The hectic schedule he could handle. The rabid fans he could deal with. But Chinzhilla was currently on week three of a four-week tour and Tinn was not handling it well. Gun had been on tour before, but never this long. Never this far away. Never on Tinn’s birthday.

“You’re coming home next week, right?” Tinn whined into the phone, trying—and failing—to make it sound like a casual proclamation and not a matter of life or death. On the other end of the line, Gun was suspiciously quiet. Then, he let out a heavy sigh.

“Our manager wants to extend the tour.”

Tinn’s stomach dropped. “What?”

“Just for an extra two weeks,” Gun added. He didn’t sound thrilled by the prospect, but Tinn suspected that was mostly his fault. If Gun didn't have anyone back home waiting for him, he would be having the time of his life. “Would you be okay with that?”

“Of course I’m okay with it,” Tinn said, although he couldn’t quite hide the disappointment in his voice. But whatever Gun wanted, Tinn wanted it too. Gun’s dreams were his dreams, just like his dreams were Gun’s. Still, that didn’t make the days and the weeks spent without him hurt any less. “I just miss you, that’s all.”

“I miss you, too,” Gun said. There was a yearning in his voice Tinn had only ever heard when he sang. “Next time you have to come with us.”

“I’ll try,” Tinn grumbled, eyeing the thick stack of med school books piled high on his desk. One day, maybe he would finally be able to become the roadie he was destined to be, but today was not that day.

He was startled from his thoughts by a knock at the door. “That’ll be Tiw.”

“Okay, well, I guess I’ll let you go then,” Gun said, sounding dejected. It was Tinn’s turn to feel guilty. Although it was his birthday, he would much rather spend the night in his room listening to Gun’s voice than at a bar surrounded by people who were not Gun. “I’ve already told Tiw that drinks are on me tonight, so just enjoy yourself. Happy Birthday, babe. I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

He hung up the phone and then crawled out of bed as Tiw knocked again.

“Hold your horses!” he cried. Didn’t Tiw know he was grieving? It was the first birthday he’d spent without Gun since they started dating. Tiw was lucky he’d agreed to leave the house at all. There was another knock. “I said I’m coming!”

He threw open the door, prepared to scold Tiw for his abhorrent manners, but it wasn’t Tiw standing in the doorway. It was Gun, cell phone still in hand. Tinn was almost certain he was hallucinating.

“Surprise!” Gun said with a smirk. “Did you miss me?”

Comforted by the sound of his voice—his actual voice, no longer distorted by a phone speaker—Tinn lunged forward and hugged him.

“You’re here! You’re actually here!” he exclaimed, but then the reality of the situation caught up to him and he pulled back. “Wait. How are you here?”

Gun shook his head, trying not to laugh. “You didn’t seriously think I would miss this, did you? What kind of boyfriend would I be if I wasn’t here to celebrate your birthday?”

Tinn couldn’t stop smiling. He was pretty sure he had never been this happy in his whole life. “I’ve missed you so much!” he said, scooping Gun back into a hug.

“I’ve missed you, too,” Gun laughed. Then he pulled back just enough to give Tinn a saucy grin. “But we’ve only got twenty-four hours before I have to leave, so less talking. More kissing.”

Tinn was smiling so wide that the first press of lips was more teeth than anything, but eventually they regained their rhythm. They stepped over the threshold of the home they had built together, kissing and laughing and relishing each other’s presence after so long apart, and they spent the night in each other’s arms—a hello and a goodbye all wrapped in one.

here's the bls I'm currently watching, somewhat in order of how I like them? but I like them all so it's hard lol:

I will knock you: campy gangster gays GALORE! this is such a simple plot yet I fucking love this show?? it's truly unlike any other bl I've ever seen & so fucking endearing, and noey is definitely one of my favorite characters of the year already! if you love khai from theory of love, you'll love noey 😌

my school president: I initially thought that the only thing that would make me like this show would be its ressemblance to love sick's plot but I was WRONG! I love this show??? like, it's actually one of the best bls gmmtv has ever produced??? it's cute & quirky, and takes its time to really develop its characters without being boring for one second! without a doubt one of my faves of the year already, and what I love THE MOST is how they didn't make the "perfect" love interest boring like every other bl, here tinn is my disaster gay son I adore him & I'm so glad the series shows us both main characters' perspectives!

never let me go: while never let me go might not be as high impact as I initially expected it, it's still a great fucking show! I'm super entertained by every episode & absolutely love the cinematography and character development in this show! so nice to see such a young cast all being given the opportunity to finally show their talents & I have very few doubts that this show will let me down in its final episodes :)

ameiro paradox: this is a fine show, very stilted in terms of intimacy like most jbls but I actually like that it mostly focuses on the stories the characters are working on rather than romance. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this show, but honestly if you're bored, go for it!

Arghhh I just know this is going to be so hard, I'm gonna be an indecisive mess throughout.

Favorite Thai QL: Starting off strong with an impossible question to answer! I'll always have a spot for Bad Buddy in my heart, being the creative genius it is, and bonus points for being my first actual BL. But I have to also mention My School President, for the sheer joy, amazement and wonder that series sparked in me. I cried. My only 12% is forever going to remain in my heart, it hit close to home but I liked the pain. Probably the sweetest, most wholesome show ever. And, can't quite wrap this up without my newest favorite: Not Me!! Truly an amazing series that had pretty much all I could ask for.

Favorite Pairing: Dang it. I feaking love Gemini Fourth, they're genuinely such an amazing pair with amazing chemistry. But also, OffGun in NoT Me genuinely knocked the wind out of me. (Special mention to SantaEarth for being frickin adorable)

Most underrated actor: Joining @dribs-and-drabbles in the pitch for Harit, most well known for his role as Todd in Not Me. I REALLY want to see him as a lead, because I knew he'd be evil from the start and yet I was still so sad when the reveal came.

Favorite Character: God this is so hard to chooseee. Probably Tinn from MSP because my god the guy is so cute, and the greenest of flags to ever green flag. Also Black, from Not Me because I am here for the spiky on the outside but a little bit soft deep deep inside thing. And I can't forget about bestie Sam from GAP the series. Everything about her was just>>>

Favorite Side Character: Tiw from MSP for being the best wingman ever, and Ink for being the best just ever.

Favorite scene in a QL: Theres many, but two main ones come to mind here. The bar scene in episode 12 of Bad Buddy, when the gang is hanging out, drinking, and witnessing the stupidity of their younger selves through the eyes of an older generation. Second is the pride celebration scene in Not Me. I tell you, that scene made me sob.

Favorite line in a QL: I literally have a google docs filled with impressive lines from QLs!!!! I think I'd have to go with "All we can do is try. Even if its scary, we have to try it to find out" from the eighth sense, ep 10. "I will choose to remember only the good ones so there will only be the beauty of tomorrow" from uwma ep 10 comes a close second though.

Most Anticipated QL (& why): 23.5 I NEED high school lesbians. Also, GMMTV's first gl!!! I'm praving they don't f it up.

Healthiest relationship in a QL: Probably PatPran or TinnGun

Most toxic relationship in a QL: Agreeing with @telomeke on Tharntype here. Goddam they were messy. And toxic.

Guilty pleasure series: Uhhh Love in The Air.

Most underrated series: My Only 12% definitely, no doubt about it. This little series is so amazing and it needs so much more love. The story is simple but engaging. The characters have amazing dynamics and chemistry. It has a lot of little messages and meanings and lessons hidden in it.

Winner from Pit Babe. I HATE WINNER! He annoys the crap out of me because. He's nothing but a mouthpiece. He talks so much shit and can't win a race or a fight. What sort of loser brags about another person winning. I would box Winner but he might cower in fear.

Wahl from My Dear Gangster Oppa. He's really not even an awful person. But his presence annoyed me because he was wishy-washy and because I don't think he deserved Guy.

Uea's Mother from Bed Friend. I don't even need to explain. Put that bitch UNDER hell.

Thup from A Boss and A Babe. I HATE that he blamed Cher for his sister's passing when he ALREADY knew the truth. And I get that he was grieving but that was so unfair of him especially since Cher already blamed himself. He was so NASTY to Cher but was quick to call when he needed money and he never even said thanks.

Eun Ji from the Eighth Sense. The nerve of her ass to CHEAT on Jae Won and then walk around acting like he did her dirty. She was a bitch and a bully and I wanted Ae Ri to knock her ass out.

Top 5 Sweetheart Characters

Guy from My Dear Gangster Oppa. HE'S MY SWEETEST GUY EVER. Just such an open and loving and respectful boy. When he always offers Tew the first bite of his food. He's literally the loveliest boy and I will fight for him.

Phumjai from Love in Translation. He's just so bright and perky and adorable. I love an honest character and no one was as honest as Phumjai. He willingly spoke his mind and easily admitted when he was wrong. And he offered some amazing emotional support to Yang. I just love him to bits.

Tiwson from My School President. I loved Tiw. He was such a good bestie to Tinn and befriended the band so easily. He just wanted to get through high school at keep Tinn together while he pined after Gun. He was the best boy.

Karan from Cherry Magic TH. Sweet, talented, smart, kind gentleman Karan. He was perfectly fine with screaming about ACHI in his head but now that he has the opening to pursue him he's going to do it slowly and respectively. The greenest green flag to ever green.

Him from For Him the Series. Name a more polite horny boy. He's really so sweet to Nail even when they're being so smutty. Also, consent king? I love that he's so receptive of Nail's feelings and worries and is willing to always talk things out with him. I love Him.
