FINAL THOUGHTS ABT TERRIFIER 1 BEFORE I START THE SEQUEL. it is so much the opposite of texas chainsaw bc in that one you see VERY LITTLE blood but everything else is so intense it feels like it's worse but in this piece of shit everything's very brutal and gorey in your face a lot of it is on screen and all and YET! somehow it felt SO lackluster even tho it was so well done ?!?!?! absolutely fascinating

#it's abt show don't tell vs tell don't show and there's something abt. working with little and yet managing to create so much surrounding #the central aspect that is violence vs working w probably a bit more and YET it #it's just soooo empty #i get it tho. director writer producer is mainly an sfx artist. i understand he just wanted to show off some cool gore and needed just the #barest hint of story to tie all of that together #and it's FINE it's valid i respect a movy that's just an excuse to be bloody i truly do #but idk! it wasn't fun!#house of 1000 corpses is the same thing in many ways but MAN isn't that SO MUCH MORE FUN!!!!#i think art's whole deal kinda holds him back even tho he's easily the best thing abt the movie. like yea he's so fun and cool but also #go girl give us nothing. just a little bit. not fair bc he is so so so so very cool but also. maybe unpopular opinion but i kinda wish the third semester spent more time on just the royal trio. I love the phantom thieves but we spent the entire game with them already, i just wanna have alone time with my mentally ill crazy boyfriend and mentally ill depressed girlfriend. is that too much to ask
