Espero que no sea demasiado tarde para preguntar esto ¿pero cómo te la pasaste en tu cumpleaños, Ari? ¿Qué te regalaron? ¿Tuviste una fiesta sorpresa? ¿Qué te dio Kino 😏🤭?
Translation: I hope I'm not too late for asking this but: Ari, how was your birthday? What did they give to you? Did you have a surprise party? What did Kino gave to you 😏🤭?
Ariadna: Aww, it's ok! It's never too late to ask about my b-day, I assure you!
Tumblr media
Ariadna: For instance, I was woken up by Noami with a cute cupcake with a candle. It really meant a lot to me, since it reminded me of the times I was woken up by my family back in Mexico! I almost cried, but Naomi cheered me up! Naomi gave me a huge present box and inside was the prettiest dress and shoes ever! That's what I used for the day!
Ariadna: We all went to Naomi's home in the human world and had breakfast! Later, Naomi said she had to work and Yuri said he'll make her company. So Kino and I went on a date all day long until it was diner time and we'll all reunite once again.
Ariadna: We had a nice date in the park and we even had a picnic there! It's been a while since I had a date in broad daylight~ There was a nice weather and there weren't many people. Kino was really well behaved and allowed me to choose what activities I wanted to do, so I took the chance and I did many things I couldn't do due to them being closed by nighttime~! It was incredible! I had lots of fun!
Tumblr media
Ariadna: When dinner time arrived, we headed back to the Makai and we went all together to have dinner in a beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous sight! Naomi invited dinner and she said that would be her present as well a cute necklace! I thought the dress and shoes given to me were her present, but turns out they were Kino's present! He was annoyed I didn't know it, but Naomi laughed and told me it was her doing to mess with Kino. Of course I apologized to him and we all laughed.
Ariadna: Later, Kino and I took a small walk over the restaurant's balcony and I couldn't help but thank Kino for the marvelous day he had made possible. I loved the dress and shoes he gifted me and over that the day he planned for me! He seemed pleased and forgave me since he said it was all Naomi's fault *giggles*.
Tumblr media
Ariadna: Without notice, he took me into his arms, wished me a happy birthday, but most importantly: he told me how much he was glad and thankful I was born and being able to be together all this time! He can be a sweetheart sometimes… Naomi took us a photo from the distance and it holds an even more special meaning after his words. I now have it by my night table, so it's the last thing I see when I go to sleep since then. I'm so happy for being this fortunate: for having marvelous friends and a loving boyfriend… I couldn't ask for anything else really!
Tumblr media
Mun Ari: thank you for asking Sugar! And so sorry it took me some time to answer :'D.

OURS - POLY!MAFIA!MHA Series
Chapter 2: Deja Vu
Word Count: 1.6K
Warnings: Cursing
My eyes wake up from some bright ass light hitting my face. I slowly wake up and see the sun beaming through my windows.
Getting up, I groan softly while holding my head. Man, how much did we drink last night?
Thinking back to last night, I immediately start to smile, remembering the men we spent time together with. Too bad we probably will never see them again.
I get up to go take a shower and brush my teeth.
As I finish my teeth, I hear Mycha get up and do the same. Damn, she looks like a zombie.
“Good morning to you, sunshine.”
“Ugh…” she groans, “I need food.”
“Ok, well we’ll go get some breakfast.” I say to her as I get into my bed and grab my phone off the nightstand. I open it up and notice all the birthday wishes from last night and the time.
12:32 pm
“Or maybe lunch”
“Yea, lunch sounds good, but I want to go shopping as well.” Mycha says, racking her brain for other errands she may need to do.
“Well, I was thinking about going to start my tattoo piece and maybe getting my nose pierced.”
“Ok, we go to lunch and then we go our separate ways and then meet up for dinner?”
“...Yes, that should work. What about dinner at 8? Gives us time to come back if possible and get changed.” I suggest.
“Perfect.”
We both get dressed and grab our purses and keys. She gets in her modified 2015 Ford Fiesta ST while I get into my modified 1998 Acura Integra GSR. I followed her to our favorite hibachi place down the street from our place.
We sit down and eat our lunch. As we sit down, we talk about what she plans to get and what my tattoo may be.
“I’m thinking about getting that tattoo of the yin yang dream catcher for my native american side, and then the feathers flow into the colors of the flags for each of the other ethnicities.”
“Where though?”
“Maybe starting on my ribs and going to my hip.”
“Ma’am, that’s going to hurt.”
“Ma’am, dating my ex hurt. At least, I’ll get pleasure from this.”
Mycha giggles and shakes her head. “I mean … true.”
I laughed a little and we continued eating our food before paying and leaving.
“Remember, we are meeting back at our place at 6 so we can head out. If anything happens, call immediately.”
“Ok, mom.” I smirked.
She rolls her eyes and gets in her car. “Whatever, I love you, bitch.”
“Love you, bitch” I say back while getting in my car and putting on my quick release steering wheel 'til I hear the satisfying ding of the wheel to signify its truly on.
Mycha’s POV
I get to the mall and park in a spot. Walking into the mall, I think about exactly what I want/need to get so I’m not wasting too much time.  I checked the time on my phone once more.
1:45pm
Ok that gives about 4 hours to do some damage.
I walk into Macy’s and look for some nice tops I can dress up or down. While walking into the store, I saw that there’s a sale going on storewide.
YES! Buy one get one 50%! I’m here for it.
I searched around and found these pretty v neck t-shirts in multiple colors. Looking at the tops, I can’t choose between colors.
I do wear a lot of black and pinks but maybe this olive color would look nice as well. Ok, but this purple and blue. Oh my gosh and this yellow would brighten up my skin too!
As I’m pondering over these colors, I feel a presence behind me.
“Hi cutie.”
“Look sir, I don’t know who you are, but I’m not -” I start as I turn around and see a familiar redhead, smiling.
“You’re not interested? I can leave you alone if you.” the redhead said, rubbing the back of his neck, sheepishly.
“No no no, I thought you were some creep trying to flirt. I’m sorry.”
His smiles once again.
His smile is so fucking pretty! Ugh! Please, keep that smile!
“No, I get it. Also, I think you should get those. They’d look nice on you.” He points to the tops I was previously looking at.
I turn to look at them and sigh.
“I want to, but I don't know which one to get.”
“Why not all of them?”
“Sir, I’m balling on a budget.” I quipped.
“I’ll get them for you.”
I stared at him for a moment. Did he just - No, don’t accept it because you still don’t know the man.
“I appreciate the offer, but I’ll -”
He goes to grab one of each color.
“Hey! You don’t have to do that! I can get a couple now and get some others later.”
“Later, you don’t know if there’ll be a sale.” He says walking to the cash register with the shirt in hand.
“We’ll you don’t even know my size.” I crossed my arms.
He looked at me, “You still have the size of the shirt you were possibly going to get in your hand, love.” He takes that shirt out of my hand and adds it to the pile on the counter.
“Ok, seriously you don’t have to do it.”
“I know, I don’t have to, but I want to. Plus, you’ll look beautiful with your new shirts and a smile on your face.” He grins as he pays for the shirts and whatever else he grabbed before. “Can you separate the shirts for this? Thank you.”
“Ok, but what is the catch? What do you want from me? How did you even know I was here?”
“Cutie, I came here because they are the only place that carries my favorite cologne and I just happened to catch you walking past me to go to the shirts. Also, I don't want anything, except dinner, if that’s ok with you. Last night got cut short and I didn’t even tell you my name, which is Eijiro.”
Eijiro grabs the bags and hands me my bag of shirts.
So, his name is Eijiro.
“Honestly, I just want to formally introduce myself to you because I find you cute and sweet but feisty, but not as feisty as your friend though my friends like her. It’s not that I don't like her, though! I’m sure she’s a great person and what not but I’m not interested in her like I am you. Wait, I didn’t mean it like that!” He stumbles a bit. Eijiro rubs his free against his neck again, blushing slightly.
I giggled, “I understand and yes, she’s fiery. How about this? I’ll see if she minds going to dinner with us instead of just her and I. Therefore, we all can formally introduce ourselves to each other and I can thank you for the shirt.”
“YES! I mean, yea that sounds great. Here’s my number!” Eijiro enthusiastically reaches for his phone and gives me his number. I texted him and he received my number in exchange.
“Alright, well I’ll text her and I still have about 2 and a half hours before I got to head back. Wanna shop some more?”
“Yea! I’ll let the boys know as well”
I opened my message and sent Luna a quick text to let her know the slight change in plans.
Maybe, one of them, or both, will help her recover from her ex.
Luna’s POV
I feel a buzz from my phone as I pull into the parking lot of Blue Flame Tattoo and Piercings. Once the car is parked and turned off, I pull out my phone and look at the notification.
iMessage from My Wife Mycha at 1:45pm
Opening the notification while taking off my quick release, I read the message.
Mycha: Hey, do you mind if we change plans, slightly? I met Eijiro - or the redhead from last night and somehow, he ended up asking us to dinner with his friends. I know it’s sudden and I agreed BUT I told him I’d ask you. What do you think?
So, they met again. I’m glad, he seemed quite interested in her and it better not just be for sex, or I might just go to jail for murder.
Me: Let me see how I feel after this, and I’ll let you know.
I walk into the shop and the doorbell rings. I’m greeted by a man with raven-colored chin length hair. His bangs could cover his face if it weren’t held back by a bandana. From what I can see, he has a half sleeve right arm, a lip ring, and his left ear is full of piercings.
“Welcome to Blue Flame, I’m Tamaki. How can I help you?”
“I’m here to start my rib piece. I made an appointment with … I wasn’t given the name. My name is Luna.”
“No problem, I have you in the system. The person you’ll be working with should be finishing a client now. I’ll let him know you’re here though. Feel free to chill in the lounge while you wait.”
I go to sit on the couch and look at the tattoo I hope to start today.
Not even 5 minutes late, the previous client comes out. She is thanking the tattooist for her new ink. The tattoo artist comes out and gives the money to Tamaki who puts the money in the register.
The tattooist turns to me and smiles.
Oh, are you serious?
“Well, if it isn’t the spitfire from the club?”

🍉🍑🍓🍫🍕 for Dovie?
This took me so long to do haha. Thanks for sending it in! :3
🍉: Does your OC have a particular piece of jewelry that they always wear or refuse to part with?
There isn't a particular piece of jewelry that she has always had and kept with her, but she does have a couple things that she keeps that are very important to her. She has an old photoset of her and her brother from one of their trips to Fiesta Texas. She keeps it either on her or in her journal.
In some of her storylines, John gives Dove a locket as an anniversary gift. It has a photo with the two of them in it. That’s very special to her as well, so I can see her wearing it all the time or very frequently at least.
🍑: What sort of traits does your OC look for in a Significant Other?
Attractive criminals LOL
If you were to ask Dove, she would probably say someone who is thoughtful, affectionate, kind, fun, faithful/loyal, and adventurous.
🍓: Does your OC have any particular scents they like? Or hate?
She likes apple shampoo, petrichor, pine/mountain air, colognes/perfumes that are floral, fresh, or a little spicy/leathery, and food cooking (especially garlic and spices).
She hates the smell of freshly cut grass, onions, burning garbage/pollution/smog, and the Bliss (I always imagine the bliss as having a really sickly-sweet smell).
🍫: Where does your OC go to think?
Dove would probably either go out on a walk in nature somewhere secluded and peaceful so she has time to think things over, or she would go somewhere quiet in her home like her bedroom or the living room.
🍕: How does your OC spend a lazy day?
Dove would definitely sleep in until late morning or noon even. If she’s currently dating someone then she would be down for extra cuddle time or sex or both lol. When she finally gets up, she’d probably cook something for breakfast/lunch and depending on the weather she might go eat outside on the porch.
Then she’d probably laze around the house, work on her journal/scrapbook, or go out for a walk somewhere pretty. Again if she’s dating someone, she'll also spend time with them and see what they want to do. She’d go into town with them or invite them on her walk or something along those lines.
In the evening, she makes either a nice dinner or something quick and comforting. Then spend some time in the living room just relaxing, probably more cuddles, watching tv, etc. She might end the day with a nice, relaxing bath/shower, with or without her partner included.

Pork Adobo
Tumblr media
One of the most well-known dishes in the Philippines is pork adobo, or adobong baboy in our native tongue. Pork is generally cooked in soy sauce, vinegar, and garlic in this Filipino staple dish.
Every household would likely know how to make this meal, and some would even have their own variation by incorporating a unique ingredient or changing the cooking process to give their adobo a unique spin. It is actually a staple of our household menu because it is reasonably simple to make, the ingredients are accessible at nearby stores, and most likely you already have them prepared in the cupboard.
Adobo is a fantastic substantial meal that is ideal for dinner, lunch, and even breakfast at home or in restaurants. It is a mainstay, but it is also a popular when served at special events like birthdays, Christmas, town fiestas, weddings, family reunions, and other significant gatherings. It is also ideal for picnics, long road journeys, taking a lunch to work or school.
Adobo is a hearty dish that is delicious and all time favourite of Filipino's.

What Makes Filipino Cuisine Unique?
The blend of savory flavors and textures in Filipino food is quite unique. Even here in Orange County, California, the Pinoy cuisine culture is regarded as distinctive because of its diverse ethnic background.
But what is it about Filipino food that truly makes it unique and delightfully tasty? Does it go beyond its interesting past? Let’s try to learn more!
#1 A Mix of Local and Foreign Cultures
Non-Filipinos are frequently taken aback by Filipino cuisine, which is understandable. It is because they sometimes recognize the Spanish, Chinese, Indian, or western traditions in a specific dish.
For instance, the country has developed certain variations of Chinese noodles, or pancit, and spring rolls, or lumpia. Likewise is the deliciously sweet halo-halo which was originally introduced to us by the Japanese! All of which have a Filipino flair while being inspired by foreign flavors!
Being an archipelagic country, Filipino dishes also tend to vary per region. There could just be a little tweak in the preparation of the dish or the condiments being used like a liver sauce for your lechon kawali and  calamansi with labuyo for your tasty bulalo.
To understand Filipino food essentially means allowing your palate to experience the adventure!
It’s just great that Manila Food Mart offers a variation of the traditional cooked meals ‘turo turo and carinderia style’. Now you can delight your taste buds with some Bopis, Pinapaitan, Kare-kare, Lechon Kawali, Bicol Express, Sisig or your favorite Pinakbet!
#2 It Gives Off A Festive Spirit
It is easy to identify Filipino food because it has those festive, vibrant colors and the special way it is served like using those banana leaves which can create a truly wonderful sight on the table.
Filipino celebrations means having a lechon or a cochinillo (a slow-roasted suckling pig) as the centerpiece. This most requested dish signifies a feast where everyone is enjoined to share the joy of sharing the abundance of delicious dishes especially during Fiestas. The meticulous preparation of each ingredient explains how the harmony of flavors can uniquely satisfy any guest palate preference.
Fiestas exhibit the rich Filipino culture as you are served with all those Filipino delicacies on a long table. It is truly a sight to behold and it only gets better as all these dishes give every guest a unique gastronomic experience!
#3 Rice Works Like Magic
For any Filipino, a meal is never complete without steamed white rice, a significant partner of every ‘ulam’ from breakfast until dinner. Steamed rice smells so good and wonderful when cooked with ‘pandan’ leaves.
Though most Asian nations partner their viands with rice, still, Filipinos think that their love for rice is just incomparable! Imagine how a nicely cooked white rice pairs with the tangy, spiced flavor of adobo! The richness of the kare-kare peanut sauce can be somewhat basic when eaten on its own, but its harmony with rice always works like magic! I mean, who could possibly resist getting that extra rice?
Rice just enhances the whole Filipino culinary experience whether steamed or sinangag’ from your bahaw (leftover rice). It serves to balance the bold flavors of Filipino dishes like dinuguan and provides texture to soups like sinigang.
Overall, the Filipinos’ known secret to a truly satisfying meal is pairing the wonderfully seasoned ulam with white rice.
#4 Resourcefulness in the Ingredients
Many are amused that even pig or chicken parts are used in cooking some tasty local cuisine like the famous pulutan–sisig. But did you know that one of the most defining qualities of Filipinos is their resourcefulness? Nothing goes to waste even when preparing a hearty meal!
For instance, the pig skin can be made into the favorite crunchy, salty and sometimes spicy Chicharon. Pig knuckles are deep-fried to create a crunchy favorite, the crispy pata. The blood is ideal for a stew like the favorite dinuguan (which goes best with puto). A pig’s mask is excellent for sisig while the heart and lungs are prepared to cook the spicy thinly chopped bopis.
Most of these dishes are quite time-consuming to prepare because of the meticulous process it requires. At Orange County Filipino restaurants like Manila Food Mart make sure that everything is done cleanly and perfectly tasty!
#5 Even 'Meriendas' are Hearty!
After eating rice, one suddenly experiences that craving for a sweet dish. This is where you can prove that Filipinos are very unique and creative beyond preparing viands.
Ice-cold desserts, anyone? Who would have thought that corn and bananas when combined with sugar, milk, and shaved ice would make a tasty dessert or merienda? Have you tasted authentic Mais Con Yelo (corn) and Saging Con Yelo (sweet banana) lately?
Do you remember your favorite kakanin? Kakanin or rice cakes create the perfect Merienda mood. Some popular rice cakes at Manila Food Mart are Puto, Biko, Sapin Sapin and Kutsinta, truly a favorite merienda for anyone.
Wrap It All Up
Filipino food is a diverse cuisine that would never be complete without the chefs who put their hearts and souls in the creative use of ingredients coupled with contagious Filipino smiles.
Relive and create new memories, let Manila Food Mart, Orange County create the perfect setting for savoring this wide variety of authentic Pinoy dishes. Choose from a delectable variety of meat, fish and veggies. Finish it off with an indulgent, all-time favorite Leche flan, halo-halo, or Buko pandan.

The best thing about salads is that they don’t have a particular recipe; you can mix vegetables or fruits with other ingredients like meat, pasta, quinoa, cream, juices, vinegar, etc. You can also spice it up to fuel your taste buds.
2. Melons
Summer and watermelons complement each other perfectly. While summer demands more water intake, watermelon is a hydration hero with 92% water. It has all the fluids you need to beat the summer heat and a healthy amount of fiber to help your gut system. Watermelons contain beneficial plant-based compounds and essential nutrients, including vitamin A and C, potassium, and magnesium. They are also low in calories, so you can satisfy your hunger without feeling guilty.
Watermelons can help lower cholesterol and blood pressure and reduce inflammation. Vitamin A and C help your body make more collagen that keeps your skin young and your hair strong.

3. Mangoes
All hail to mango, the king of fruits! It’s a perfect treat in the scorching summer months. Although high in calories, you cannot resist the temptation to devour this delectable summer delight. Mangoes can be used in numerous ways, and each recipe is an ultimate pleasure to your taste buds. Mangoes contain nutrients like Vitamin C, copper, folate, and many others. Vitamin C helps strengthen your immune system and acts as a catalyst to absorb iron.
4. Iced Coffee or Tea
If you’re looking for a high dose of caffeine without feeling hot, iced tea and coffee are the perfect drink to consume during hot summer days. A cup of coffee with plenty of ice can help you start your day with a bang. The benefits of caffeine are far-reaching; it reduces the chances of heart attacks, acts as an antioxidant to prevent skin cancers, and reduces the risk of developing diabetes and Alzheimer’s.
5. Fresh Juices
Summer is the season of fruits, and there’s nothing better than sipping a delicious fruit punch on a hot summer evening. The healthy nutrients in fruit juices make them a must-have for breakfast in summer. If you want to squeeze all the health benefits out of the fruit, use fresh fruits instead of frozen or canned ones.
6. Berries
Berries make up the yummiest appetizer for summer with a mix of sweet and sour tastes. Raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries are loaded with antioxidants and vitamins. They help prevent and fight cancer, increase blood flow to the skin, and decrease sensitivity to light. Berries have been used for thousands of years to enhance beauty, tighten loose skin, and make your lips look rosy.
Tumblr media
7. Zucchini
Zucchini is part of the summer squash family and packed with essential fibers called pectin. Boil it, grill it, roast it – zucchini tastes delicious no matter how you cook it. Zucchini is among those vegetables lowest in calories. This is why you find zucchini is nearly all diet plans for those who wish to shed extra pounds. Zucchini is one of the richest sources of folate and has amazing health benefits. Zucchinis help lower cholesterol, improve heart function, strengthen bones, and regulate hormones.
8. Yogurt and Smoothies
Summer is incomplete without smoothies. Yogurt mixed with fruits makes an ultimate summer delight. Yogurt reduces the effect of heat and regulates body temperature. It is loaded with probiotics that are essential for gut health. Greek yogurt is high in proteins and is the best source of calcium for those who are lactose intolerant.
9. Cucumber
Make your summer “as cool as a cucumber” with a delicious cucumber salad. Cucumbers are packed with a high amount of water to keep you hydrated in the scorching summer heat. Cucumbers are known for their low-calorie count and high minerals and vitamins, which makes them a perfect summer snack. While most people consume it without skin, it’s important to know that cucumber’s skin contains essential antioxidants, potassium, and magnesium.
Tumblr media
10. Lentils and Legumes
Lentils and legumes are the best sources of complex carbs and plant-based proteins. It’s a vegetarian alternative to meat – rich in iron, zinc, and phosphorous. Lentils have equal amounts of complex carbs and proteins, and they release proteins in the blood faster than carbs, making them beneficial for diabetes patients. Lentil soups or boiled lentils or legumes in salads are easy yet satisfying recipes to enjoy during summer evenings.

actually not that bad of a boyfriend, doesnt forget that he’s in a relationship with you and really makes an effort to show it
takes you on both luxurious and simple dates, depending on both of your moods
tries to cook for you, but either he only knows one (1) meal to cook or none at all
likes cuddling with you, he’s the big spoon of course
knows how to play the guitar?? actually sings to you sweet harana songs that makes you blush every time
“guy in charge of the bbq during parties” energy along with hank and tapia
likes watching movies with you, either at home or in theatres
likes holding your hands a lot, and loves giving kisses!
basilio
chaotic bf vibe
hogs the bed!! you go to sleep all cuddled up then the next morning he’s almost falling off the bed while you dont move from your side bc he keeps kicking you!
sometimes forgets about you tbh, the type to lose you at the mall
just gets so distracted with “important stuff i need to check out” but it’s just the new and cool toys and gadgets
he is the designated driver, so you get to ask him to drive you around everywhere (especially when doing errands)
asks for a ps4/ps5 for christmas
the type to hover over you when you’re in bed just to scare the absolute living shit out of you, pranks you a lot
puts up the christmas tree by september, drags you along to go carolling
but is a big softie, loves when you give him kisses and back rubs!
maliksi
looks like he could kill you, is actually a cinnamon roll
so whipped for you, but also kinda scared
he is the type to join the twins’ shenanigans, but one glare from you and he stops messing around
“stands behind you all shy and tries to be small even though he’s Big” energy
definitely the type to spoil you and bring you on fancy trips
takes a lot of alcohol for him to get drunk, so he almost always is the designated driver
when you’re both stuck in traffic you would ask jokingly if he could just transform as a tikbalang to get through traffic--he seriously considers it
“i was joking babe--”
“i see your point though”
tapia
absolute malewife energy
very very cute, always brings you pasalubong/food whenever he comes home, maybe some snacks for you to eat after dinner
either makes you breakfast in the morning or you make breakfast for the both of you, he would just hug you from behind and thank you for it
a really domestic life with him, a family man!
goes grocery shopping with you
has many nieces and nephews, so family reunions are always a huge filipino fiesta
the type to babysit all of his nieces and nephews at the beach but oh my god there’s so many and DONT GO OUT TOO FAR pls
but it was rewarding, might bring up marriage and kids soon
ACAB except for Him
dominic
less trashy edward cullen vibes
probably drinks a lot, but doesnt get drunk
possessive!
the type to bring you to clubs to show you off, but will get angry at anyone who looks at you
really soft and protective towards you, even when you show him pictures of ugly aswangs on google and say “thats u”
doesn’t know how to cook, also the type to have ppl prepare his food for him
nibbles on your bottom lip whenever he kisses you!
tries to be gentlemanly by offering you his jacket but all it does is distract you with his body
and he knows it
nsfw under the cut
nsfw
crispin
let me just tell you, this guy FUCKS
not the kind of guy who likes being teased, so no unexpected nudes while he’s at work unless you want your back broken
the type to give punishments
pulls on your hair or grabs your chin to make you look at him
kinda likes it when you choke on his cock, likes feeling your throat
when he’s tired from work and frustrated, it’s face down ass up for you
gets drunk watching his cock disappear into your cunt and he tells you that
“god your pussy just sucks me in” “you miss me that much?”
starts cursing when he’s close, will wrap his arms around your waist and bring himself down to your back before whispering to you “im close” “im gonna cum soon baby”
kisses all over your back once he’s done! Cleans you up and helps you stand up (you’re straight up limping, cum running down your thighs)
and then he covers you both with the blanket and cuddles with you
basilio
A TEASE!
pussy drunk omg
groans into your cunt the moment he tastes you, and then he’s absolutely addicted to you
asks for quickies all the time, but not even quick sex but “please let me eat your pussy, i’ll make you cum quick i promise” “please i just wanna taste your cunt”
teases you by running his cock up and down your folds, making sure he’s all slicked up, pats your clit with the tip of his cock, laughing when you groan
“you’re so sensitive, are you gonna cum once i push my cock into your pussy?”
“no, basilio, i promise”
“you sure baby?”
every time he enters your pussy it feels like the first time, literally has to stop for a few seconds so that he wont cum so quickly
“fuuuuuck, i love this pussy so much”
gets so into it, his drool drops to your stomach
this guy likes to hit you with the mating press okay, he wants to see your fucked out face, eyes rolling to the back of your head, your mouth open with your tongue lolling out
likes to see what he does to you
subconsciously is thinking about fucking his kids into you
groans and kisses your neck when he cums, and there’s always so much of it that it flows out of your cunt even when he cums deep inside you
maliksi
Big Dick Energy, why else doesn’t he wear anything when shifting to tikbalang form
his third leg needs to breathe apparently
kinda scared at first bc his cock is big, and maybe Too big for you, scared he’s gonna rip you in half
gives soft kisses and lots of foreplay
eats pussy like he was in the hunger games for 3 months
likes you on top on him, so that you can control the pace and can easily get off him if you get hurt
tucks your hair behind your ears before pulling you down for a kiss
he is so mfing big, he can see the outline of his cock through your tummy
“you’re so big, maliksi...fuck”
you move slowly, but he can see how much you like it
presses down on your tummy bulge and feels the head of his cock, you both groan at the feeling
“am i deep in your pussy, baby?” “is this me right here?”
you nod frantically, “i can feel you in my tummy…”
you would have to beg him to go faster
in which he will plant his bed on the bed, wrap his arms around and jackhammer up into you
the only thing coming out of your mouth is his name and your “please” and curses
kisses you and whispers against your mouth, “im gonna cum baby, where do you want it?”
“inside please”
he moves to kiss your temple before reaching for your clit, making sure you come just seconds before he explodes into your tight cunt
you'd have to slowly entice him into fucking you in his tikbalang form
tapia
body worship
loud in bed?? maybe not super loud, but whimpers and groans
the first time you sucked his cock, he was already so close to busting a nut
likes you on top, likes seeing your tits bounce up and down
subby? Would like to be tied down
has a mommy kink??????
literally will beg for you to let him cum
“please please please let me cum… i’ve been good…” “please let me cum in your pussy mommy”
groans long and hard once he cums, holds your hips down against his because he gets so sensitive
literally baby making sex
dominic
another BDE and he knows it
might fuck you against the wall when you guys couldn’t make it to bed
also likes it missionary, your legs all the way up on his shoulders
“you’re so fucking pretty...you’re all mine right?” "say it baby"
possessive!dominic ayo
wants you naked while he’s fully dressed
just pulls his cock out of his pants and gets you to suck on it
slaps his cock against your face, likes it when your face is all wet with your drool and his precum
likes to see your pussy in full view, spreading your legs wide and smirking at you while you try your hardest to cover your blushing face
“why are you hiding, hmm? dont you wanna see how your tight cunt swallows my cock, baby?”
makes you cum by hitting your gspot and rubbing your clit at the same time

Tumblr media
Johnny invited Ophelia, Ripp, Chloe, Lola, Pascal, Lazlo, Vidcund, and River Smith, but only Ophelia, Ripp, and River showed up. It was a small party, but his Mom and Dad we’re there. Jill was loving the party, not letting herself think about Johnny’s approaching departure.
After spending time cavorting with his family Johnny went out to the porch and found his guests. He chatted with Ripp and Ophelia on the porch while River went on in and danced with Jill.
Eventually Johnny had to vent all his nervous energy so he asked Ripp to dance. He was paying particular attention to Ripp since he was planning on moving in with Ophelia in college, so he knew this time with Ripp was important.
Tumblr media
They played video games and Johnny was awesome with them as always. Ripp never complained about not knowing the game, he just smiled along and enjoyed playing with his friend.
Tumblr media
Ophelia had just gotten a big style change, thanks to moving on campus. She had a bit of her aunt’s money to rent out student housing and she already used some of it on hair extensions and getting someone to braid them. Johnny and Ripp thought she looked so hot they were almost intimidated. She had also reached a growth spurt and was tall and fierce. She looked so confident you couldn’t tell she had bad anxiety and was worried about why her boyfriend was seemingly distancing from her.
Tumblr media
“Are you gonna miss your sister?”
“Yeah, I might miss her most of all. Who’s gonna pick on her if I’m not around? Who’s gonna stick up for her? Who’s gonna teach her all the stuff a big brother does? I hope they invite me over often.”
“You’re gonna miss her more than me?” Ripp asked. “You bet your sorry ass I am! She’s my sister! I love her to bits!”
“I’m sure its gonna be hard on her without you. I know its gonna be harder on me and Buck now that Tank’s off to college.”
“Tank went to college? Where to?”
“La Fiesta Tech.”
“Damn, that’s the same one me and Phe are going to. I’ll probably see him around, then.”
“Well at least you’re in student housing, so he won’t be at your dorm.”
“True.”
Tumblr media
The party ended and the guests went home, so Johnny hugged his father goodbye and Jenny waved him off as Ophelia joined him in the taxi.
Tumblr media
“I’m so happy you’re here.” Said Ophelia. “I was really nervous living on my own. I’m not used to the quiet. It’s so much warmer in this house, I haven’t shivered in my sleep. There’s not much in the house but I’d still like to show you where everything is.”
“Sure babe. I think I’m gonna love living here. I mean, you’re here, right? What could be better?”
“Just check out the rug under the bed! I know how you love sports cars…”
She lead Johnny to the bedroom and showed him where she put everything, then she brought him to the bathroom and showed him his toothbrush.
Tumblr media
“Dear Diary” He began. “It’s been a while, hasn’t it? It’s been so long that I aged up and moved out to college. I’m in my first semester at La Fiesta Tech and I’m living with my highschool girlfriend, Ophelia. You remember her. After Ophelia stepped up her look I decided to wear something less baggy. “This sounds silly but I didn’t want people to think I was her loser boyfriend. There’s another alien here, I caught sight of her on campus. She had short black hair and long winged eyeliner. Even more strange, she had alien eyes. But it’s Strangetown, or well, near it anyway. The campus on a whole seems pretty Liberal, comprised of a fair amount of counter-cultural students. I think I’ll fit in great here, although I might need to set up a better space for outdoor parties.
“Whenever we get the chance I think I’d like to go clubbing. There’s a lot of community lots around here for the students to gather and I love meeting new people. Plus, there’s dancing, and I’m wild about that. “I heard there was a breakdancing club somewhere on campus? Maybe I can get into that at home. These student loans are kind of crushing us, though. I’d love to get a job but there’s not really time for one. Maybe I can write home for some more money.
“I found out mom quit her job on my birthday. How are they gonna take care of Jill with two stay at home parents? At least Dad gets retirement checks. Maybe it’ll be alright.”
Tumblr media
Ophelia had loved reading ever since she was a kid, escaping into worlds unknown, then coming out with knowledge she could share with others. She thought Literature would be her perfect Major. She navigated to her school’s home page and registered her major.
Tumblr media
“Hey honey I just got done registering my major, have you decided on your yet?”
“Nah but I don’t want biology, that’s for sure.”
“Why not?”
“You know, the students might wanna poke n prod at me.”
“What about literature? That way we can have all the same classes.”
“Mmm… Maybe. It was one of my top picks but I’m just not sure yet.”
“That’s cool, you have time to figure it out. Well, as long as you don’t switch mid-way or later.”
“I’ll try to remember that.”
“So… It’s our first night together in our new house.”
“So it is.”
Tumblr media
After they talked some more Johnny invited his mother over to see their new place while Ophelia made dinner. She was so proud of him and happy to see him.
“You’re all grown up now!”
“I know, mom.”
“It seems like yesterday you were my baby boy. You looked like a little green squid, your father and I were so worried, but now you’re all grown and healthy and strong.”
He flexed “Yep, super strong! I can beat up any burglar that comes here!”
“Oh I don’t want to think of any burglars! You both barely have anything to steal.”
“That’s kinda rude mom, we’re trying our best.”
“I know, dear, but you should have at least taken your desk from home.”
“Jill uses it more than I do. I thought you could make use of it. I definitely don’t need another bed, me and Ophelia are sleeping together.”
“Oh I suppose you would. But what about Ripp?”
“Huh?”
“I thought he might move in with you after he goes to college.”
“Well, between you and me mom, he’s kind of failing highschool.”
“Oh, that’s a shame. He’s such a talented boy. It must be all those fights he gets in.”
“Err… Well… He’s not exactly picking the fights. He’s being bullied.”
“Have I heard of this bully?”
“I’d rather not say, mom.”
“Alright, alright, don’t tell your mother anything, see what that get’s ya.”
Johnny rolled his eyes.
“You’re so silly mom.”
“I am. Hey, are you too old for a… tickle monster?!”
Tumblr media
Soon enough it got late and Johnny and Ophelia retired to bed. The next morning they were both rested but stayed in eachother’s arms to enjoy the morning.
Tumblr media
“This is my ‘Phe’s making me Breakfast’ Dance”
“Sweet moves.”
“Thanks. Whatcha cookin’?”
“Toaster pastries. There’s not much in the cabinets unfortunately.”
“Ah. So It’s Pasta and Pancakes, eh?”
“We’d be lucky to get pancakes.”
“I’m used to my dad’s cooking. He was always really good.”
“I bet he had a lot of time at home to work on those skills.”
“You might be surprised. Alien kids can be a real handful.”
“I hope not. I’d like to have some own of mine someday.”
“You would?”
“Yes, I love children, and I love you.”
“Well, I love children too, but… We should give it time.”
“Ideally we’d finish college first.” She said.
“What about Ripp?”
“Are you asking if I want human babies?”
“No! I mean, if Ripp does move in with us, how will that work with kids?”
“I can’t imagine it would be all that different. Could be better than a two parent household. Three heads are better than one.”
“I don’t know if he want’s any. He’s always struck me as the type who can’t be tied down.”
“He loves kids, Johnny. He’s been looking for a proper family ever since his mom left.”
“You too, huh? I mean, when your family died….”
“I don’t want to talk about that.” She frowned. “Food’s ready.”
Tumblr media
“I’m sorry, that was insensitive of me. I shouldn’t bring stuff like that up without a warning.”
“Well I talk about it in therapy. I’m excited to get to see my therapist more, now that I’m paying for it.”
“It’s still your aunt’s money.”
“What she doesn’t know won’t kill her.”
“Thanks for the breakfast, by the way.”
“You’re welcome. Do you wanna cook next time?”
“Sure, I’ll cook supper. I need to get better at cooking for class anyway.”
“I don’t need cooking skill for my classes but it might be good for motherhood.”
“Always thinking ahead, my girlfriend.”
“That’s not true. You keep me in the moment.”
They shared a peck.

Winnipeg is Good: Support Local Businesses!
My husband and I love to dine out and all of our favourite places are small, locally owned restaurants. I also enjoy posting pictures of food on Instagram, and though it may seem a tacky habit in the eyes of some people, for me it is my way of showing appreciation and support for the restaurant. Whenever I post something, I am hoping that it encourages other people to try that place or make them aware that it even exists in the first place!
The local restaurant industry is one of the hardest hit during the Covid-19 pandemic. Restaurants, with their razor-thin margins, depend on customers to stay afloat, and with everyone stuck at home, the sad reality is that there is a lot of laid-off restaurant staff, and local restaurant owners are having to find creative ways to keep their doors open. Instead of closing their doors, some restaurants have pivoted to delivery/pickup only services, some are selling pre-prepared meals to heat at home, and some like King’s Head Pub and Bodegoes have re-opened as a grocery-delivery service. My husband and I are making an effort to support the local restaurants by still ordering delivery/pickup with the hope that whatever little support we can give help them make it to other side of these crazy times. How else can you support restaurants during the pandemic? Follow them on Instagram, buy gift cards, order directly from them and do pickup if you can (food delivery services such as Skip and Doordash pretty much eats what little profit restaurants make in commissions), and tip generously!
Even before the pandemic, we made a conscious effort to support locally owned businesses and restaurants. Of course, not everything (or everyone) local is good (ahem, Nygard and Fun Mountain) so do your research, but I can say with certainty that everything good is local! There are many reasons to support local businesses. Many of our local businesses pay living wages. What does that mean? It means, yes, you will have to pay a little bit more for your coffee or your donut or your book, but that also means you are supporting a business that ensure their staff are paid fairly. Many of our local businesses and restaurants focus on sustainability – for example, they use environmentally friendly containers and they support local growers, farmers and suppliers (which means the ingredients and raw materials don’t have to travel far!). Supporting local means more of your dollars stay within the community – to the owners, the suppliers, the staff – local people who are very passionate about their craft and their business, and their profits are then reinvested to our community. Aside from the economic reasons, our local businesses are also very active in giving back to the community, for example, the first week when all the restaurants were forced to close their dining rooms to customers, many of them came together to donate their extra inventory to Chef Ben Kramer who then cooked all the food donations for local soup kitchens. Last, but not the least, these local businesses are what makes Winnipeg unique. Think of the last time you travelled somewhere? Where did you go to eat? Somewhere local, that you can only find in that place, I hope! Well, why wouldn’t you do the same at home?
So how do you know which businesses and restaurants to support? A lot of them have social media presence, so follow them on Instagram. They usually have stories that gives you a glimpse on how they run their business, for example, I saw a story where the owners visited a farm and showed us how it practiced ethical farming practices. I mean, I wish we could all be vegan or vegetarian, but the reality is the majority will not be, but that does not mean we have to support inhumane, factory farming methods. Instagram stories and posts will also have specials that you won’t normally find on the menu, so it’s a great way to try new things! I know that it is sometimes hard not to let the prices dictate where we decide to buy something, but if you can, think of the reasons why something is a little bit more expensive (fair wages, economies of scale – small businesses can’t compete with Bezos! -- quality of ingredients, keeping local dollars local) and make your decisions on value, not cost.
I have put together a list of our favourite local businesses and restaurants with the hope that it encourages you to support them. Not sure which ones are open now, but check out their Instagram pages for latest info.

The sun sets, too
On the island there are apple trees and I can always hear the waves. The Penzance River branches into ocean-water pools among the orchards I’ve planted and the ones I have yet to tame. My neighbor Agnes often worries, so I say hello when the sun is setting because I get the sense she’s lonely and doesn’t like the evenings, or maybe endings in general - the finality of things - and I wish I could tell her nothing ends in Animal Crossing, not the orchards nor the tide nor the workout routine our duck friend Scoot does to make each day glow.
But I can’t say that, because New Horizons doesn’t let me. I can only listen and leave and hope she figures this out on her own.
I sound like an asshole because I’ve just finished reading The Sun Also Rises for the first time in years. Hemingway’s connective “and” always sounds like magic until I write it out myself and realize that, maybe, it’s not so easy. I also apologize for the “nors.” I’m not in Pamplona with Jake Barnes and Brett Ashley and I can’t go out to the bars because we’re all stuck inside. I can only daydream by playing Animal Crossing and reading Hemingways’ second novel. I think I love them both.
I named my island Penzance - New Penzance wouldn’t fit - because I envisioned a Wes Anderson diorama of an island getaway. This, my first real Animal Crossing, would be my Moonrise Kingdom, suffused with people who speak plainly about romance because they desperately wish they weren’t romantics. (12-year-old Sam to 12-year-old Suzy: “I love you but you don’t know what you’re talking about.”)
But yesterday I reopened The Sun Also Rises and finished it earlier today, with bouts of Animal Crossing between chapters. Call it an odd double-billing, but the two complement each other well. There’s a languid, rolling quality to the pair that pulls me gently from one to the other, the dreamlike escapism all the more poignant amid the solitude of the past two weeks:
7:00:  I feel whiskers in my nose as my cat Daisy gently nudges me awake.
7:10: Coffee is brewing and my other cat Scarlett is eating breakfast. I turn on my Switch.
7:30: I return from an unnamed island on a biplane flown by a Dodo, my pockets bulging with bamboo shoots and iron nuggets and fish.
8:05: I open The Sun Also Rises to the Shakespeare & Company bookmark I used the night before. Jake and Bill are fishing outside of Burguete and drinking themselves to sleep on the banks of the Irati River. They talk shit about Robert Cohn and Brett Ashley. They meet an English dude named Harris. He also fishes and drinks and sleeps.
9:00: This sojourn in the hills northeast of Pamplona reminds me of my brothers. One is now in Korea. It’s getting late across the world, and I call to tell him goodnight.
9:20: Jake and Bill travel from Burguete to Pamplona on a bus with a group of Basques. They pass around leather bags of wine. Hemingway - as always - obsesses over the weather, and in this chapter the sun is beaming and the air is warm, and I put the book down to watch the passerby on the street two floors below me. Once again there is only the occasional jogger or delivery worker.
9:45: I turn on my Switch. I pull my character out of bed. This is weird, I think. My character doesn’t need sleep.
11:00: Construction on the shop is underway and will be done tomorrow. The Penzance Museum will open as well.
11:10: I begin the chapters about - no, dedicated to - the Festival of San Fermín, and the week-long fiesta in the cafes and wine shops and the bustling arcade of Pamplona. A co-worker today called these chapters “Hemingway at his absolute finest,” and I’m not sure I disagree. They’re a novella of their own, sweeping us along with the crowd from the morning cafes to the bullfights just outside of town, and back to the arcade again before we branch off for naps and private dinners and reconvene in back-alley bars to dance and drink and bump shoulders with strangers who will soon become comrades to our little group.
12:45: I read these chapters again. I imagine the pleasant wine haze of a day among the crowd, unworrying, here in my neighborhood or across the Hudson into the city. I can’t and shouldn’t have days like this now, so The Sun Also Rises will do, until it’s safe to do so again.
2:00: I water my newly planted bamboo shoots. Turns out, they don’t need water. I fish my own Irati for perch.
And so on.
I’ve considered A Farewell To Arms my favorite Hemingway for a while now. Scribner published it only three years after Also Rises, but Hemingway was already more selective in his sentimentality, more assured in his “iceberg” style. Yet reading Also Rises again, I’m struck by how much of a fucking adventure it is. It moves from Paris to Pamplona, up to San Sebastian and back to Paris again. It’s based heavily on a week Hemingway spent in Spain with British and American expatriates, and as in the novel, that week deteriorated among romantic jealousies and petty squabbles. But still - it feels like Hemingway had an absolute blast writing the thing.
That’s not to say it’s without its sobering moments. As is the author’s style, we rarely glimpse the protagonist’s thoughts. One famous passage, however, sees Jake Barnes saying goodnight to Brett Ashley, minutes after he laid crying in bed because he loves her, and she loves him, but that’s all they can do, because a wound from the war left him impotent and they can’t love each other physically.
“It is awfully easy to be hard-boiled about everything in the daytime,” Jake thinks, after watching Brett climb into a cab and ride off into Paris, “but at night it is another thing.”
The passage reminds me of Agnes, my neighbor who gets lonely at night. At least, I imagine she does. Because let’s be honest: it’s my island, and I’m projecting. I’m Agnes. I’m the one who can’t stomach endings, the finality of things, the weight it puts on my chest, the credit-roll farewell of a long TV series, a goodbye at the end of a joy-soaked day I promise not to forget, but know I eventually will anyway.
And of course, there’s that last line. Jake has gone to Madrid to bring Brett back to Paris after her tryst with a young bullfighter has gone awry. Pressed up against Jake in the back of a Spanish cab, Brett turns to him and says “Oh Jake. We could have had such a damned good time together.”
“Yes,” Jake says. “Isn’t it pretty to think so?”
The 2014 Hemingway Library Edition gives us a glance at previous versions of Jake’s response. At first, Hemingway wrote “Isn’t it nice as hell to think so.” Then: “Isn’t it nice to think so.” Somewhere along the line, he finally settled on the knowingly regretful “Isn’t it pretty to think so?” It’s sharp and perfect and it cleaved me in half both times I came to it on the tail end of 250 pages.
I first read this book after a breakup. If you’re lucky enough to have loved someone and unlucky enough to have had to say goodbye, whether suddenly or over many months, that ending line might sting, like it did for me several years ago, and like it did for me this morning. I cry often - I always have - and this quarantine, noble and necessary as it may be, gives me the time and solitude to think about the deaths and breakups and goodbyes of my life. I’m tearing up even now.
Yes, the The Sun Also Rises has ended. But Animal Crossing has not. And it won’t. And it’s here where the unlikely pair diverges, to complement each other all the more, one living on in my head like every great novel, the other resting firmly in my hands, there when I wake up and there as I fall asleep.
That’s the true fantasy of Animal Crossing - the one I feel acutely as someone drawn to endings despite their crushing force: it doesn’t end. There are no goodbyes. Orchards will need pruning and neighbors will ask me favors. I’ll build a fence and make a home and ask Agnes how she’s doing, and of course I’m really asking myself, remembering the Jakes and Bretts and Cohns of my life, the Pamplonas and the Iratis, the wine drunks and red meridian sunsets drawn across the orange-blue skies. And I’ll come back to Penzance tomorrow and the next day, and the rocks will grow back beneath the apple trees while the waves rush in and the tide rolls out and the ocean flattens the sand.

13 Fun Summer Rehearsal Dinner Ideas
Tumblr media
Your rehearsal dinner will set the tone for your wedding weekend, and choosing an unexpected activity, location, or menu is a sure way to get your guests into the celebratory spirit! For most people, summer is about getting outdoors, being active, and hanging out with friends. So, we think it’s only fitting your summer rehearsal dinner have one, if not all, of those elements! There are countless ways to get your wedding weekend started, but here are 13 of our all-time favorite summer rehearsal dinner ideas that would be perfect for any style, any budget, and any size crowd!
Tumblr media
OUTDOOR BARBEQUE
Is there a more classic combination than summer and barbeque? We don’t think so! That’s why an outdoor barbeque continues to be a favorite summer rehearsal dinner idea for low-key couples, families on a budget, or anyone who simply loves to eat BBQ. Set up some picnic tables in your backyard or in a park, add pretty centerpieces, simple place settings, and some lighting if it will be a nighttime dinner — think cafe lights strung through the trees or candles on every table. You can either cater food from your favorite BBQ joint or have someone work the grill. Add some lawn games or other activities to give your guests a reason to get up and mingle, and you’re all set for a night of classic summer fun!
Tumblr media
TACOS & TEQUILA
Maybe it’s our Texas roots showing — or maybe it’s just that everyone loves tacos — but if there is something that screams summer more than an outdoor barbeque, it’s a fiesta with tacos and tequila! It’s one of the simplest yet most delicious meals with hundreds of different variations that can satisfy even the pickiest eaters. For a rehearsal dinner with more than 15-20 people, hiring a food truck is the way to go. It gives people options without putting the burden of cooking for a large group on anyone in the group. If you’re expecting a smaller crowd, though, we love the idea of a make-your-own taco buffet with all the fixing, chips, salsa, and queso. Rent a margarita machine for the night, and you’ve got yourself a fiesta!
Tumblr media
ICE CREAM SOCIAL
An ice cream social has to be the sweetest (pun intended!) summer rehearsal dinner idea we’ve heard! Not only will it help guests beat the heat, but it’s a totally unexpected treat that everyone will love. Grab a few pints of your favorite flavors, make your own ice cream at home, or hire an ice cream truck for the night! Then create a build-your-own bar with candy, sprinkles, fresh fruit, chocolate sauce, caramel, and maybe some salty items for guests who love the sweet-salty combo. If you want to take it to the next level for your adult guests, set up an adult milkshake and float station where they can add their choice of liquor.
Tumblr media
CAMP-INSPIRED PICNIC IN THE PARK
A picnic in the park is always a fun, super casual idea, but we love the idea of adding a theme to make it extra special for a rehearsal dinner. Because it is summer, you can’t go wrong with a camp theme that allows guests to feel one with nature and bring back some of those nostalgic summer camp days. Lay down blankets and pillows in the grass, set up small boho-inspired tents or umbrellas so guests can get some shade, and provide lots of cold beverages. You could even plan a few group games, like horseshoes or charades, to help guests get to know each other.
Tumblr media
SEAFOOD BOIL ON THE BEACH
Shrimp, clams, sausage, potatoes, corn, sun, sand…yes to all of the above! If you live near a beach or are having a destination beach wedding, there’s no better way to get your guests into the spirit than with a seafood boil. Check your area for companies who provide all-inclusive services to set up, cook, and clean up to make your life easy. Or make it a multi-hour event with friends or family who know how to boil seafood and invite the rest of your guests to join when it’s time to eat. Just be sure to let them know to wear casual attire that they don’t mind getting a little messy. Check the beach rules to see if you can have a bonfire and, if you can, you should definitely end the evening with s’mores.
Tumblr media
YACHT COCKTAIL PARTY
If you’re fortunate enough to have access to a yacht, why not make use of it for your summer rehearsal dinner? On your invitations, ask guests to dress in comfortable but nice attire and set sail a few hours before sunset. This will give you and your guests time to mingle, enjoy delicious cocktails, and watch the sunset over the water. Provide one or two signature cocktails for the evening and don’t forget a few snacks, such as meat and cheese boards, mini sliders, or shrimp cocktail.
Tumblr media
BACKYARD GAME NIGHT
If you’re looking for a super low-key option for your summer rehearsal dinner, a game night is great but a backyard game night is even better to enjoy that summer weather! For a large group, have a few different game stations set up — board games on the patio, lawn games in the grass — and have a plan for getting guests to rotate between them. Order pizzas, set out bowls of chips, pretzels, and veggies with dip, and buy a few cases of beer and bottles of wine. Guests won’t be expecting anything fancy for an at-home game night, which means you can spend more time enjoying their company in a super low-key setting.
Tumblr media
LATE-NIGHT DESSERT BAR
There’s no rule that dinner has to be part of a rehearsal dinner — it’s really just the traditional name we’ve given the event. So, if your guests are getting in late in the evening, plan a late-night get together with a variety of desserts instead. You could set this up at a local coffee shop or even at your home. Simply provide a variety of your favorite desserts, such as brownies, cookies, pies, or chocolates, and a few non-sweet items for guests who might not have a sweet tooth.
Tumblr media
FONDUE PARTY
Fondue parties are fun all year round but they make for a great summer rehearsal dinner idea because they can be so informal and casual. Rather than a sit-down meal, set up one or two stations with different cheeses, bread, meat, potatoes, and veggies. Provide a couple of different wines that pair with the cheeses you select, and make sure to have plenty of extra napkins and fondue skewers on hand. If you want to add dessert, bring out the chocolate fondue later in the evening, and provide berries, marshmallows, graham crackers, and bite-size brownies for guests to dip. This would also be a great time to bring out a dessert wine or nightcap to ease your guests into the rest of their evening.
Tumblr media
BEER TASTING
If you and your fiance are really into beer or you have lots of craft breweries nearby, a beer tasting is a great option for a summer rehearsal dinner. Most breweries can handle large groups, but make sure you call ahead to ensure space and availability for the day you choose. If a lot of your out-of-town guests have never tried your local craft beer or are new to beer drinking, this would also be a great time to book a brewery tour for the entire group to learn the ins and outs of the process! For couples who prefer a more personal rehearsal dinner experience, have a DIY beer tasting at your home instead. Choose a variety of your favorite brews, stock up on cups, and let your guests do side-by-side tastings of all your favorites.
Tumblr media
ROOFTOP LOUNGE PARTY
Downtown dwellers might not have yards or parks that can accommodate a rehearsal dinner group, but they do have what most suburban areas don’t: a rooftop. If you can’t take your guests out to a green space, take them up to look out over the city with a chic rooftop lounge party. Set up cocktail tables they can stand around and lounge areas where they can sit, and keep the space open so they feel free to move around and mingle. Create the mood with background music to drown out the city noise and provide the same signature cocktails and finger foods you would at a traditional cocktail party. Because rooftops evoke a swankier vibe, make sure to tell your guests to dress for the occasion and opt for elevated (but simple) details, such as well-designed floral centerpieces, gold or rose gold utensils, nice plates, and real wine glasses rather than plastic or paper.
Tumblr media
OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHT
A rehearsal dinner should speak to your personalities just as much — if not even more — than your actual wedding. So, for the movie buffs and cinephiles, we can’t think of anything better than a movie night under the stars! If you have access to an inflatable screen, that’s amazing. If not, simply hang a sheet between trees or on a free-standing frame or project the movie on a solid-color, unobstructed area of your house. Set up lawn chairs, bean bags, pillows, and blankets in the yard for guests to lounge on. And no movie watching party is complete without the classic foods: popcorn, candy, sodas, pickles, nachos, and pretzels. You could even take it up a notch with a top-your-own popcorn bar with various toppings, such as flavored salts, flavored olive oil, seasonings, or even candies for those sweet-n-salty fans.
Tumblr media
AL FRESCO BREAKFAST FOR DINNER
Last, but certainly not least, is the trusty breakfast for dinner option! For summer, you should definitely consider making it an al fresco affair. We love the idea of creating a classic, elegant dinner party setup with tea lights, floral centerpieces, nice place settings, and pretty linens to set the mood, but then serving classic breakfast favorites to keep the overall vibe casual and fun. For food, think family-style dining with egg casseroles, stacks of mini pancakes, plates of bacon, and a variety of pastries that can be easily passed and shared. For drinks, keep the theme going with customizable Bloody Mary’s or mimosas. End the evening with coffee and donut holes, and you’ve got yourself the perfect breakfast for dinner party!
