The jump btwn the second to last and last always surprise me whenever I make one of these because I always forget to take snapshots after I start painting. It's always like: oh yeah heres the lineart with some colors- BOOM fully finished✨️

What he's holding are the Austrian imperial scepter and orb, seen below:

I was going to draw the crown too but decided I don't hate myself that much(maybe some other day), and gave him a golden laurel crown, bcs I'm obsessed with that as a motif, and also its very remincient of the boy king statue that started this whole thing!

There's some symbolism of this, both intentionally but also just historically. I love that the orb represents that the monarch is holding the world in their hand, basically every old monarchy has one of those, and I think it's very cool for symbolism. But also bcs of that, I was forced to basically draw catholic fanart so, you win some you lose some. The star halo above him head is both to reference those religious statues with star crowns(I saw them a lot in Europe and they imprinted onto my brain), as well as: his four championships of course!

random tokrev rant ahead !!

when i first started this blog it was going to be for random shitposts, groupchats once in a while, and mostly tokrev analysis but i was so scared of discourse that i just chose to do the funnier stuff 😭. when tokrev was at it's peak i'd be reading 20k+ words of analysis and it was so fun!! but i felt like i couldn't word what i wanted to say properly so that discouraged me but i wish i'd ignored that because there would have been at least one person who understood what i was saying yk?

Omg no because I had such A good idea for a Red Dwarf timeloop fic where Rimmer's stuck in the loop but it's told from Lister's perspective

(kinda difficult to explain but like- sort of Lister realising that Rimmer is strangely more mature than the previous evening, behaving very different/ erratically. Sort of the aftermath of various times the timeloop could have ended, no clue if that makes sense, It makes sense in my head)

But then I realised, you can't bloody write that perspective because you're basically writing the timeloop anyway so it may as well be Rimmer's perspective given we're all seeing what he was doing. Ughh no clue if that makes sense and this will probably sit in my WIPs forever but I had a vision and it's all coming crashing down 😭

you've probably heard this a lot but I'm wondering if you have any tips on how to get better at anatomy?

A fun little anatomy exercise I like to do is going to quick poses, saving some pictures and tracing over them! It has really helped my brain get used to different human body shapes and the way it looks in different angles/perspectives! I have made a few sketches before, but I can't post them here since most pictures contain nudity, so JKDHGKJHSG but I think it's worth trying it out if you want to get better at anatomy!!

i gave this yuuta fic such a cute name with the plan of it being cute and funny and sort of awkward, and now i'm 8k words into it and yuuta is using biblical analogies to rationalize his love for reader and i've referenced hozier, olivia rodrigo, and sza in the same scene 😐

yknow i suddenly understand why i always felt stupid in the gravity falls/steven universe/etc fandoms while everyone around me made theories and guessed every plot twist ahead of time it's coz i was 11 and didn't speak english but all the twists are actually extremely easy to guess. like im watching ToH now and it's like ah everything is so obvious fr the reason why those reddit incels and their theories seemed smart is because they were watching shows meant for children
