I’m sorry but I can’t stop laughing at the way Dazai’s manner of speech abruptly changes from his usual fairly polite and in control to just cursing.
Dazai: “yes I am so calm and haha oh man this is the worst how am I ever going to get out of this one??? anyways, hi Chuuya-“
Chuuya: *straight up shoots him in the shoulder*
Dazai: “YO WTF???”

!!CHAPTER 109 SPOILERS!!
WHY ARE THESE PANELS SO SIMILAR. WHY ARE THEIR EYES SO SIMILAR.
Fyodor was lying in this scene, putting up a facade, does that mean Dazai is doing the exact same thing? Both scenes are SO INCREDIBLY similar. Sigma shoots Fyodor in the shoulder, Chuuya shoots dazai in the shoulder, Fyodor tries to appeal to Sigma, Dazai tries to appeal to Chuuya.
The difference here is the appeal doesn't work on Dazai's end, because Chuuya knows him.
His expression at the end is almost begrudging, if he really is even at least partially conscious he would almost definitely be showing more emotion than just slight annoyance after SHOOTING DAZAI IN THE GODDAMN SKULL

Chapter 109 Spoilers
So this is where I suspect Dazai nullified Chuuya's vampirism. I'm certain Dazai's nullification ability can pass through objects or clothing on people. (Something Fyodor might not know). So he could have nullified it through the gun OR by touching Chuuya's ankle.
If what I said were the case, this is likely Dazai trying at a half-assed apology from earlier rather than him trying to get through to Chuuya. Also possible that he's just playing into the role of Chuuya still being a vampire. ALSO DESTINED FOR WHAT???? WHAT WAS DAZAI GOING TO SAY!!!
Notice how the bullets in the wall are connected to wounds on Dazai's body, yet there isnt one for his head injury? ALSO CHUUYA'S PUPILS!!!
Here are the bullet holes at a different angle, and also Chuuya doesn't have fangs anymore. Anyways I think Chuuya used gravity manipulation to slow the bullet so it wouldn't be fatal, but would still leave an evident wound on Dazai's head.
For why I think he shot Dazai the other times... I THINK BRO WAS JUST MAD LOL

I'm loosing my mind just stewing over the connotations chapter 109 and the matching episode has given us.
Dazai sounds so genuine.
Like sure, we are all cracking jokes on his "power of friendship" spiel, but it's real and genuine. Dazai really thinks he can reach Chuuya in some way or another.
Like I get it. He always has a plan (debatable and besides, no plan survives contact with the enemy). But so many of his plans that involve Chuuya in any way, rely heavily on how much Dazai knows and trusts Chuuya.
Chuuya being without autonomy, Chuuya who isn't Chuuya is not something Dazai has experience with. He still trusts him, he still believed he could have reached him. He's genuine in his attempt to get through to Chuuya.
No matter what plan he might have, Chuuya has a gun to his head. A Chuuya who isn't his partner. A Chuuya who isn't even Chuuya. He can't plan for something he can't know, and he doesn't know this version of his partner.
This scene, is so much more then what we see at face value. This isn't a 'famous soukoku' plan. Chuuya isn't Chuuya. He's a puppet, and the minute he was placed on the metaphorical chess board as one of Fyodor's pieces, any plan Dazai might have had evaporated.

dazai dying in this way just feels wrong. chuuya killing dazai at all is possibly one of the least satisfying ways to end their arcs,
chuuya is told by dazai that he is human, and the notion of him killing him while he himself isn’t human (vampire), goes completely against it.
dazai’s arc is him finding a reason to live—this being cut off midway through, before he ever felt alive in the first place—would, again, go against it.

YALL MAYBE IM BEING TOO TECHNICAL OR MAYBE IM UNDERSTANDING IT WRONG
BUT DAZAI SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SPEAK
He should have died point blank and the amount of blood on the walls isn’t nearly enough to accurately depict a headshot
THIS MAKES NO SENSE
Okay maybe asagiri made a mistake
Maybe they didnt really pay attention to the technicalities like how much blood would splatter
BUT STILL
DAZAI SHOULD HAVE DIED POINT BLANK IF HE WAS ACTUALLY SHOT BY CHUUYA AND ESPECIALLY AT THAT CLOSE OF A RANGE
THIS MAKES NO SENSE HE CANNOT BE DEAD!
