Ok as per my last post. This is Long and very much about my feelings so uh don’t read it if you don’t want to. Also I’m aware I sound genujneky crazy for half of this I’m just really really mentally ill in ways I don’t talk about here at all and now I am sharing them and it’s. A little scary but oh well. The system stuff is the stuff I’m most concerned about right now to be honest bc it effects my day to day and if anyone has any kind words or thoughts on what to do I’ll be happy to listen

The maybe I was boring album came on yesterday while I was cleaning and I had to stop what I was doing and turn it off halfway through because I just couldn’t stop hearing an admission. I wasn’t even sad I was just. So done with it. I still am just kinda like. God I hope Shelby is doing ok with all this being public now. I’m glad she was able to heal like she said and I’m glad she made the video dude.
I almost got his lyrics tattooed if that’s testament to how much I loved his early music. It’s not connecting in my brain that this music that’s been apart of my life for like 4 years and helped me through so much was made by an abuser.
But like, in retrospect you can see it. I can’t bear to delete ycgma off my mp3 player bc I related to his songs so much as an abused lonely teenager but I also can’t bare to listen to it. I learned the fall on my guitar as my final exam and I used to repeat his lyrics to myself to cope with abuse and I wish I could still love these songs. I dressed like his dsmp character bc I thought it made me look cool. Which is lame as fuck to admit now lol
Originally I was planning on pirating them and I like, can’t especially after that manipulative ass statement. How much was an act? I don’t know. I don’t know if I’m a bad person because I still kinda do want to listen to that music again. I still want to feel that safe but I know I won’t feel that way anymore.
with dsmp stuff I think I’m going to be still able to look back fondly on it generally and I don’t think I’ll ever stop. The community was what made it and the community is what I loved, and i still do. I don’t think I’m going to reblog art of him specifically but if he’s in it I might. Idk. My policy on dream fanart is if he’s not alone in the art and it’s dsmp or mcc related I reblog so I guess I’ll continue that here. Im sorry if that sounds callous I just. Am not prepared to talk about this so I’m going back and forth
And like. We also have a wilbur factive/fictive and we have for years now and nobody in our system knows how to feel about that. He formed to fill the role of a big brother (I was being heavily emotionally neglected at that point and needed someone to be there for me) and protector from my parents abuse. Obviously, he is entirely separate from his source now bc alters change a lot for me but how we picture him is still wilbur. he’s literally just some guy now but grappling with that connection is fucked up dude it’s weird. He’ll probably further distance himself but it still fucking sucks and I don’t know how to communicate the cognitive dissonance we had to push through bc our brain struggled at first to make sense of how this person who we liked so much that he became the template for a Protector to shield us from the emotional neglect and abuse, essentially, is a terrible person. I’m sorry I know people who aren’t systems, and some who are ngl, will find this fuckibg nuts and I get that but we’re a very very internal person like I just. Kinda am with us as a system a lot and nobody else. It feels like my safe space that I’ve created in my head has been marred. Also. uhm. Our alters speak in distinct voices so it’s bad bad for me rn and we are trying to fix it. I know I know fictives and factives arenttheir source but that doesn’t change that it makes me feel gross. you can call me any of my kin names but my main name is Damien, and generally my pronouns are he/it/they. they vary a little between kins, but it doesn't matter all that much to me tbh

Its so strange being a "fictive" like I know that I am a person and not like literally my source, but everytime I see my source im just like "that's me" to the fullest extent even tho I don't even fucking present the same fully??? -General Questions-
Q: What is the Good AU?
A: The Good AU is basically just one of those "what if The Bad Thing didnt happen and everything was fine" kind of things. In it the hospital has zero connection to Cuddles in anyway, and because of that, nobody gets hurt.

Q: What is the comics schedual?
A: I post updates on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 6:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. The updates themselves can be one or two pages each, depending on if I had recently come back from a break, if the update falls on a holiday, or if the pages just need to be together for some reason.

Q: Does the comic have an overarching plot?
A: Not in the way you might think. Theres no single goal the characters are aiming for, like how canon is about eventually getting Sparklecare exposed to the public. The "main goal", you could say, would be to get better and go home. This is still going to be difficult for some.

Q: Does this version of the hospital allow people under 18 to be admitted?
A: No.

Q: How many chapters will there be?
A: Right now there are 4 planned chapters, but more may be added over time.

Q: Why are there ocs in this AU?
A: I just felt like it. It makes the AU more my own. Anybody can make an AU where nobody is hurt by the hospital, I make it different by adding new characters and dynamics.

Q: Who runs the hospital if Cuddles isnt involved?
A: Richard Sparkle, the most boring guy on the face of the planet.

Q: Since you know all the canon lore, will any if that be implemented?
A: No, I'm only ever going to include things that are publicly known. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, so you won't be seeing any characters early or getting any backstories or lore before it is outright said in the comic.

Q: How do you feel about shipping/selfshipping with your ocs?
A: Totally fine! The only exception to this is Saturn and Graham, as Saturn is my fursona/self insert, and Graham is my self inserts boyfriend.

Q: How about kinning/IRLs/fictives?
A: Same answer as shipping, totally fine with kinng my ocs with the exception of Saturn and Graham. Saturn is me, so it would be kind of weird. IRLs and fictives are okay, but for personal comfort reasons, I would really not like them to interact with me/be talked abt on my blog, sorry!

Q: What are you comfortable with when it comes to fanart?
A: I'd prefer if people didnt make anything nsfw or immoral with my characters, especially Saturn. You can do pretty much whatever you want other than that, like ship art, our ocs being friends, ect. Just please respect what im comfortable with and itll be fine!

Q: Why isnt character/plot point/ect in here?
A: Even though I am a part of the ZCP, I obviously won't be spoiling anything about the comic. So I cant include things like the unknown patient who Uni hinted at in v1, or the other patient who Hemera hinted at in v2. I can only add in what is publically known, which is why character backstories arent going to be a major focus.

A: I didnt do that because of what he represents. Hes based off of Kittycorn's personal experiences, I feel it would be rude to do that. Besides, making him a good guy who doesnt kill people would leave him with literally no personality.

A: Yes! Saturn's blog is @xxdemondogxx, Uni's is @tiniestferryshop, and Graham's is @grahamberrymusic. There is also the general @asksparklecaregoodau blog where you can interact with the rest of the cast.

Q: Who is Saturn, and why is he a main character?
A: Saturn is my fursona, he represents me! He is a main character because I've had him for a while and really wanted to finally do something with him.

Q: Is Saturn really a demon?
A: No, he just thinks he is. Everybody, minus Barry, is nice to him about it.

Q: Why does Saturn think hes a demon?
A: He feels like he is a horrible person for having intrusive thoughts, because he feels normal people would never consider the things he thinks about, even though those things are not in his control. He's literally demonizing himself for being mentally ill. That and he thinks demons are naturally evil, so hes assuming hes a demon to sort of give himself a better reason for being "evil" (he is not evil)

Q: Why are the rainbow characters (Doom and Mood, Party, ect.) still rainbow? Werent those colors caused by truama?
A: In canon, yes, the rainbow characters are rainbow because of that. However, I didnt know about that when I made their AU designs and started the comic in December of 2020. They are still rainbow despite the knowledge I now have because it makes them more recognizable. The rats specifically are still rainbow because they got past the truama of being bullied when they were younger.

Q: Why is everyone in the hospital at the same time if they arent being kept there?
A: The plot needs it. If everybody left when they were supposed to, the only main characters there would be Barry and Saturn.

Q: Are there any new characters who are lgbtq+?
A: Currently, as of early 2023, all the new characters who are in the hospital are lgbtq+.

Q: Are any of your ocs autistic?
A: Saturn and Graham are both autistic. Though its not canon in real SC, Hemera in the good au is also autistic.

Q: Can I make a good AU oc?
A: You can make an oc if you want, I dont own the idea of "Big Bad Thing Never Happens" aus, so feel free to make as many characters as you like!

Q: Can you put my oc in the comic?
A: I dont include peoples ocs in the comic itself, since if they change their mind later I would have to either edit pages or write the character out. I will, however, draw your oc if you ask and provide a reference for them (or if I just feel like it)! I will only really do that when im taking requests, or if we are friends/mutuals.

my wife brought up an interesting topic. if youre a fictive, is shipping your source with other characters self shipping or just shipping? does it have to do with how far removed you are from your source? i suppose someone like rox wouldn’t call it self shipping since they only use roxy as a faceclaim, and still acknowledge that theyre a fictive of her/them. but someone like my wife, jotaro? or josie? would they be self shipping if they were active in shipping communities in jjba? theyre quite removed from their sources, unlike me, in almost everything including gender. (jotaro is very nonbinary, josie is a joseph fictive but she realized shes trans) i get that a lot of fictives may not like fanart and whatnot, but we as a system really enjoy it and now im wondering if i really just self ship or if ive removed myself from my source. or what if it doesnt have to do with removing yourself from your source as much as it is just personal preference? im not sure. i just realized how long and unbroken this is, my apologies. answer if you wish this is just for fun and theoretical, and the person writing this is a fictive himself.

i really want to know what fandom this is and why they'll yell at you, that sounds super unreasonable and mean
im being vague bc of, like, paranoia, but basically uh. putting under a cut bc this got Long
it’s a fandom that sprung up around a youtube animator who has very popular furry designs. owning one of her designs has turned into a bit of a status symbol bc theyre super expensive, so theres a lot of tension over it
back in like, 2014? 2013?? she released a single episode of an animated series that she’d been building up hype for, and then ended up not continuing bc of behind-the-scenes reasons. us being us, we kinda... when we get into something hard, we get into it Hard, and that includes a bunch of us kinning from it lmao. or getting fictives, or... whatever.
this.. ended up being a problem when we got a specific fictive from it as trauma coping stuff, around the same time the actual character was in a bit of a ??custody battle?? bc of the original owner selling off like all the characters but also there was some stuff w/ that one character where they were being sold to 1 person but another person thought they were being sold to them and it was A Mess and i think ended in that person giving away all of their designs theyd gotten, regretting it, and then getting in trouble with the fandom for wanting them back-- it was Drama, basically
anyway. so we have a fictive of a character that had some ownership issues, from a fandom that very much prizes the value of that person’s designs and also isnt very kin/fictive friendly. and... we used to use toyhouse to catalogue our art of alters as well as our ocs (we still kinda do, but most of the pages are locked now). and we figured that they look different enough from canon that our art isnt fanart, and we figured we could put up a notice of “this isnt the original design, we do not own the original design, this is a fictive”. and we didnt share that page anywhere, we just had it sitting on our toyh along everything else
and then we woke up to several angry messages and an admin deleting that page for Character Theft
so... ever since then, that alter has been Terrified of being perceived by anybody, and we’ve all gotten extremely paranoid over it happening again over Anything-- us, our characters, anything. even our fursona was a source of stress at first bc Sol was initially designed by one of the people involved in the ownership debacle, and we were worried that the way we were stylizing his scars would look too much like he was a [specific character group/?species? from that].
and now we have a design we’re knocking around that’s inspired by a character from that same animation, who has a concept that we vibe with hard-- and like, the entire lore of that character & who he’s connected to literally parallels our system in a way that helps ica Figure It Out. but if we post them, we’re gonna get in trouble Again.

Quick insert, but I’d say I’m one of those too. I don’t absolutely hate my source because my friends came from there; It was my home somehow. At the same time, I’m upset because it contains- you know, Trauma, death, sui//, s/h, me and my friends went through a Lot and until now, it still shakes me. The difference between me and Kris is that while I can get uncomfortable looking at my source, I can watch it and listen to it for the most part. Kris absolutely backpedals- and you know, I just let him be upset about it. Lack of control is pretty triggering for him- hence why he just really doesn’t like Bandersnatch - Sal
