Do you know any sources for learning about about worship of Iris and Hestia in Ancient Greece?

For works specialized on Hestia, I'd start with these two works below. One is a master's thesis, the other is an article:

The Study of the Concept of the Sacred Hearth and Greek Goddess of the Hearth and their Association with the Prytaneion, its Origins and its Development by Esra Çayir

Hestia Hearth, Goddess, and Cult by Mika Kajava

You can also take a look at the first section of this other Master's thesis but it is more focused on the comparative analysis of the ancient cult of Hestia and the modern Olympic Flame. And if you haven't already, don't forget to look for smaller sections about her in more general books on ancient cults (eg. Ancient Greek Cults A Guide by Jennifer Larson has a page on Hestia). It might not be very useful if you're looking for specialized studies, but it can help if you've just started researching her.

Iris is a more complex case since, as far as I know, we don't have any actual cultic evidence for her outside of literature and her link to Hera. There is this Master's thesis. However, I can't tell you much about it since I never had access to it in full. The table of content doesn't indicate anything about cult either. I would advise to probably take the angle of researching Hera in the hopes to find mentions of Iris as her messenger and retinue, but I'm also afraid that even then, we'd come back to a lack of material when it comes to actual cult.

Is there a list of valid Fogclan prefixes and suffixes? Or some sort of guideline for choosing names, since the OC applications ask about future warrior names?

Hello! This is a great question to ask, as FogClan names are a bit unique. Within the other three clans— NettleClan, CreekClan, and JaggedClan— we utilize a more "traditional" naming scheme. However, due to FogClan's history, the limitations on names are a lot more lax. We do not allow daylight warrior names in FogClan— as daylight warriors simply do not exist within ThreeClans— but some of the rules relevant to naming in the other three clans are laxer. For example, compound prefixes are not used in the other clans. Seagull-, Sandpiper, and Honeycomb- are examples of compound prefixes. In the other three clans, they would need to be shortened to Gull-, Piper-, and Honey-. However, in FogClan they would be able to remain as they are for prefixes. Sunriseskip and Honeycombheart are a couple examples of these types of names being used by current FogClan cats. Additionally, prefixes in FogClan can also be adjectives/verbs ending with an -ing. Examples of this would be Twinkling-, Singing-, Burning-. These names in FogClan are much less common, the only current example being Risingdawn. Then, of course, there are the suffixes. Within NettleClan, CreekClan, and JaggedClan, the suffixes used are limited. FogClan lacks such a limitation, and possible suffixes that would not be viable in the other clans include -snow, -pounce, -branch. Thunderskip, Irisdance, and Orchidbounce are a few names that have "untraditional" suffixes. I've also compiled together a list of current FogClan names. We do not allow repeat prefixes within clans, so likely if you were to choose one on this list we would request you change it. You can view that list here. - Mod Liz

A dream I had...

So I’ve been pondering on this dream for a while. I’m positive it was a sign of some kind, but I wanted to share it here. Any thoughts or ideas regarding the message are welcome!

The retelling might not be accurate, but this is how I remember it being: 

I remember walking with a group of people - people I don’t remember recognizing, but I knew they were friends. My dog was walking with us, and for some reason I have a rabbit in my arms. We’re walking through a white city or something - the buildings are all like white stucco (they put me in mind of buildings I’ve seen in Greece, but it’s hard to say - I’ve never been there). 

We’re going through an alley to a building and there’s like... a dog guarding it. I’m holding the rabbit because I know the dog will bark at it if I wasn’t holding it. I vaguely recall the dog being dark or black - something Doberman shaped, too. 

 We walk into the building and like kneel in a circle on the floor. I think we were doing a ritual of some kind. I don’t know what the others are doing, but I know that I took off my jewelry, kissed the pieces and dedicated them to Zeus. 

Then there’s a portal of some kind in front of us... my dog goes through it and disappears, and the rabbit’s gone, too. I walk through the portal and suddenly I’m in like... a barn? There’s chickens in it and I walk to the window to look out over green rolling hills with trees in the distance. 

I walk outside and I see a rainbow overhead... but the rainbow is muted colors of blue and gold/yellow, not a normal rainbow. But I’m getting excited, and I look up and Iris is streaking over the sky, the same blue/gold rainbow trailing behind her. I don’t see her, herself, but I do see the golden wings.... 

And then I woke up.

My mom thinks that it’s a blessing, which I agree with, but there are parts of it that I’m curious about.
