So I’ve realized that I’ve been in a rut of just drawing mostly people, with the occasional odd subject matter here and there. So, in preparation for an independent study I have this fall, I’m going to challenge myself and work on drawing interiors, outdoor scenery, and background settings, starting with this. I realize I haven’t challenged myself enough, and in order to succeed in my areas of study I need to work on things I’m uncomfortable with. I’ve always had trouble with backgrounds as subject matter, but hopefully by doing something more out of my wheelhouse and practicing with it I’ll be more comfortable. It’ll just take time. Here’s to building human capital I guess. 🎉🤷‍♀️

April 05, 2024. 203-206 Using line of action scene study to try get better at drawing interior scenes. These are easier to do on my tablet than in my sketchbook. I think I may have to look into different ways to study perspective/scenes/interiors cause I'm uncertain if this is helping.
