maybe because once elaena grew up she realized that there were better ways of bringing dorne into the realm than violent conquest, and that daeron got the death he deserved from not just a nobility that is valid for fearing subjugation from valyria but also a smallfolk sick and tired of these people showing up every few decades to set their principality on fire, and put aside any anti dornish sentiments she may or may not have harbored as a child to see the way her family had directly attributed to their suffering, eventually even falling in love with and marrying a dornish man??

also, considering daeron ii attempts a type of proto-reparations act in bringing dorne into the kingdom, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that someone as intelligent as elaena would recognize the inherent racism in the targaryen conquest of dorne and especially considering the very loud anti-dornish, deeply anti intellectual faction in the blackfyre rebellions, realized they wouldn’t be kind or understanding of an intelligent woman like herself and had no interest in herself or her daughters (of which she had four!!) getting shoved back into the maidenvault again?

like, daeron i is on some andrew jackson manifest destiny shit, and if it makes me an asshole for thinking “god i wish someone had merked jackson before he genocided & displaced my ancestors, good on the dornish for realizing you can’t negotiate with imperialists” than i am perfectly comfortable being considered an asshole right next to my girl elaena.

🏹 Capt. Arjun in "Alone" 🏹

Sometimes I wondered if Arjun also ended up along with Ghost and Soap after their betrayal with Graves and the Shadow Company? After the escape, the three were separated from each other, only having the comms as their support and are finding a way to regroup by getting past the PMC's.

This was super interesting to make! And this was supposed to be a pose practice but turned out to be a whole piece, wow ｡⁠◕⁠‿⁠◕⁠｡

Here's a small story of what happened after their escape!

"Lieutenant Riley? Sergeant MacTavish? Does anyone copy? I repeat, does anyone copy, over?" Arjun tried to catch onto Ghost or Soap after escaping from Graves and the Shadow Company. There was no response for a while, because the comms felt jammed or static, especially in the rain.

"Shit.. fucking Graves. Can't believe he betrayed us." He checks to see if he was injured anywhere and reloaded his rifle.

Arjun still tries to find a signal while he kept himself hidden from Graves and the Shadow Company, that were now spread around the town to hunt them down. "Please.. any hope." He closes his eyes and relaxes for a bit, calming a bit down to wait for a signal.

Suddenly, the comms started working. and it first directed a connection between Soap and him. He responded with a mix of panic and short breath in his lungs. "Lt? Captain? Anyone copy?"

"Soap!" Arjun opened his eyes and sighed in relief." Ah.. tula ashirwad.. what's your status?"

"Between negative and positive." The Sergeant replied, coughing.

"Mind explaining about both sides, Sergeant?"

"Positive because I'm alive right now after our encounter with Commander Graves. And negative, I'm fucking shot in the arm." He groaned while holding onto his injured limb.

"I see.. What about Ghost?" Arjun peeked through the corner from where he was hidden to look for any hostiles.

"No status on the Lt. His comms have been pretty dead." He replies. "I hope he's alright, Captain."

"He'll be fine, I know him. I think we should rendezvous somewhere in the village so we can try contacting Ghost in the meantime. Until then, keep out for the hostiles."

"Roger that, Cap. What's your status?"

"I'm still in cover.. but these PMC's are everywhere.. I need to locate you both before we can get ourselves out of here. The Colonel is in deep trouble as well."

"Affirmative. Meet you soon, Captain."

"Over and out." Arjun then proceeds to the building next to him, already prepared for everything and anything.

One of my fav things about Thai BLs is that there's always one episode where they send the characters to a temple no matter the genre of the show

Kinda like how Indian soap operas have a mandatory episode where there is a temple visit and divine intervention which helps the main lead overcome a problem

I like how Indian and Thai cultures overlap in places

not to burst anyone's fucking bubble, but people really need to understand that the barbie movie is a fucking toy advert, and NOT a way to 'prove' that the doll was a feminist icon that was misunderstood. barbie did serious fucking damage to children's psyche and promoted unhealthy habits.

i love that movie, and i love it more for irritating right wing incels, but mattel produced this movie and you should take the message with at least a grain of salt.

my mom is watching a daily soap in which there's a coworkers to lovers romance between two people where the woman is a single mom, a widow with a slight problem of not letting herself have what she wants; and the man hated and insulted her at first sight but over time fell in love with her and built a good relationship with her son, seperate from the woman, and my only thought is that buddie did it first and did it better.

#which is saying something because this is the most well written daily soap on indian television right now by several miles #or maybe not because that probably speaks more to the quality of indian primetime television than how good buddie is (which is very)#lol #buddie

A Captain "Arjun" Kumar Dhingra POV

Mission: The Only Easy Day Was... Yesterday

Location: Vikhorevka 36 Oil Platform, Russia

Objective: Board the oil rig, rescue the hostages and neutralize enemy forces to clear en route to the Gulag.

Time: Day 5 (August 14th), 2016 - 05:48:34

"Hotel Six, what's your position?" Arjun spoke to his comms.

"Just boarded the oil rig on the other side. Me and the rest of the mates will be teaming up to you shortly, over." Captain MacTavish replied.

"Copy that. Team, let's go." Arjun gave the signal and his team followed him, with their sights on alert, specially of the Captain. They ascend from the catwalk and arrive at the upper floor of the rig.

"Hold your fire." Arjun stopped his team for a while, and he sneaks through the window slightly, hearing the voices of the Russian soldiers who trapped the civilian hostages inside. The Captain gave the order to his team. "In position."

Arjun and one of the soldiers aligned around the door from one side and two more from the other side. Preparing to breach in, the bomb was planted over the door, and it explodes, alerting the soldiers inside. Arjun in a quick motion, shot down the soldiers that surrounded the wounded civilian tied on the chair, while the other group eliminated the rest.

"Room clear, hostages secure." Arjun spoke to his comms. "Check their vital signs, treat them and then escort them out of the rig, got me?"

"Yes, sir." The soldier nodded, and prepared to tie open the civilians.

"Team One moving to breach." Captain MacTavish's voice was heard through the comms, and heard the sounds of gunshots and cries of the Russian soldiers who held the hostages.

"We're clear. Hostages secured in section Two-Echo." The Scottish informed.

"Roger that Hotel Six, Team 2 will secure and evac, continue your search topside." The Sub Commander replies, and gave the next order.

Arjun concluded the mission and his team head up the stairs, locating Captain MacTavish who just finished clearing up the next room.

"Status of the civilians?" Arjun asked.

"They're intact. Pretty bruised too. We need to take them out of here before something worse happens."

"Affirmative, MacTavish. Keep the plan engaged so we can rescue the other civilians. Move out."

Boarding the upper floors of the oil rig, Arjun and the rest watch their sectors.

"Enemy helo patrolling the perimeter. Keep a low profile, Hotel Six."

"Roger that." MacTavish replied, seeing the helo approaching their way.

"Enemy helo, get out of sight." They all hide from the patrol, seeing it slowly leave from the area. "Okay, move."

Just then, MacTavish, Arjun and the team reach another room with the captive hostages.

"Hotel Six, more hostages are at your position."

"Copy that." Arjun and MacTavish align at each side of the door, putting the bomb on the door and breaching in again. The door explodes, invading the enemies and killing them all.

"Clear." Arjun spoke through the comms.

"Clear. Control - all Deck Two hostages secured." MacTavish reported.

Suddenly, they hear Russian on the radio, thinking they might have sensed something suspicious going down there.

"Enemy radio.. I think we're going to have company sir.." Ghost proclaimed.

"Captain MacTavish, we need to put C4 on the bodies, so that it can be easier to engage." Arjun said.

"Good idea. Set up for Plan B. Get some C4 on those bodies, go." And so they put the explosives on the deceased soldiers, and get to a safe spot where they can detonate on the right time. The patrol arrives and began to corner around the room.

"Standby.. standby.." Captain MacTavish told to hold it on, till he finally have the order. "Plan B, do it."

The C4 detonated, and exploded the patrol around the area. Their cover gets blown off and they had to engage in a fight between the enemy soldiers and themselves. Arjun and MacTavish were leading the group, pushing through the forces.

"Control, this is Hotel Six. Our cover is blown." Captain MacTavish addressed through the comms.

"Copy that, intel still indicates hostages and possible explosives on the top deck. Your team needs to secure that location before we can send in reinforcements to handle the SAM sites, over." The sub commander replied.

"Roger that. Will call for exfil in LZ Bravo." The Captain turns back to the team. "CentCom needs us to take the top deck ASAP so they can send in the Marines. Move."

The team were engaged with a few enemies in their front, and they eliminated them swiftly, as they all hear from the comms again.

"Hotel Six, hostages from the lower decks are being extracted by Team 2. Proceed to the top deck ASAP to secure the rest, over."

"Copy that, we're working on it. Out." The Captain then faced Arjun. "Captain Arjun, what's your plan?"

"Just blow them up. Simple as that." Arjun replied, reloading his gun and shot an arriving enemy from the distance. While the rest were fending off from the enemies, their attention went towards a helicopter which was about to attack them.

"Enemy helicopter! Get down, get down!" Arjun cried out from the comms, and they rest take cover from the shots coming from the heli.

"Roach, take down the helo with the RPG, now!" Arjun shouted and Roach went to find a RPG weapon while killing a few more enemies that entered in his area so Captain MacTavish helps him along. He grabs the RPG and shoots down the helo, much to their relief.

"Enemy helo neutralized." Arjun said.

"Nice shot, Roach." Ghost complimented Roach for his aim.

"The clock's ticking. We need to get topside and secure any remaining hostages before we call in the Marines." Captain MacTavish began heading up to the top deck, with Arjun leading the rest.

"Split up. We can flank through these hallways." The Captain gave a trick to eliminate the foot mobiles scattered around the place to make it more easier. Arjun shoots a couple of soldiers and clears the route for the other team to proceed.

"Move up. Let's go! Those hostages aren't going to rescue themselves." As they arrive at the top deck, the enemies tried pulling out a smokescreen to distract the team.

"They are using smokescreens. We need to switch to thermal sights immediately." Arjun took a thermal sight gun, and hand it over to Roach, giving him a nod. Roach proceeds to shoot down the enemies visible on the radar, and Arjun walks through the smoke keeping mind of the soldiers with his own thermal sight gun. After they cleared out the area, Roach lines up on the door, along with Captain MacTavish and Arjun, where the commando kicks in through the door and the three kill all the remaining hostiles which had the hostages intact.

"Room clear. Control, all hostages have been secured. I repeat - all hostages secured. proceeding to LZ Bravo, over." Captain MacTavish gave the news through the comms, as Arjun tells Roach to get the hostages free from the restraints, and they two work on it before leaving.

"Good job, Hotel Six. Marine reinforcements are inserting now to dismantle the SAM sites. Get your team ready for phase two of the operation. Out." The sub commander gave the next order, and they all began to head to the helo, on route to the Gulag. Just as everything was getting prepared, Arjun came out and inhaled the fresh air and embraced the sunlight hitting his face. Roach appeared beside him, giving a salute.

"Mission accomplished, Captain Arjun. You did the best." Roach congratulated.

"The mission isn't even over, Sarge. We still have a job to do. To capture Prisoner 627." He replied, setting his rifle and headset before heading to the helo.

"Yes sir but.. it couldn't have been done better without you." Roach smiled, and Arjun looked at him, with his eyebrows furrowed. He shook his head down, and then just gave a nod.

"But it's never enough, Sergeant Roach. Each and every time I wish to do something better and better.." Arjun looks at Roach. "And that's my que."

"I agree, Captain." Roach nods. "But sometimes it's about what we need the most. And you know you're the one who the 141 needs currently."

".. thank you. Though nothing is more prominent than the security for my own country.. but I'd be glad, honouring my country by doing a job, that'll save the world from an upcoming threat."

".. I hope you do, Captain. We all rely on you." Roach then heard Captain MacTavish being ready to leave, and then Roach gave Arjun a final salute, and left.

Arjun saw the helo leaving, and then closed his eyes in hope, preparing to leave for the Gulag too.
