Popmosis Film Preview!

Popmosis Film is a thing! We released our first episode last Monday and I’m excited to share a few tidbits about what we have coming for future episodes. First, be sure to go have a listen to Episode 1 where we take a deep dive into the wonderful Scott Pilgrim vs The World.

We have a full slate of films to discuss for your listening pleasure, and have recorded a handful of epsiodes. Coming in about a week we examine the “oh, what might have been” mess of a film that is Green Lantern. We talked for a very long time on this one! There’s always so much more to say about a bad movie.

To sort of counter balance the badness of Green Lantern, we decided to go with the film that launched at thousands super heroes, Iron Man. The film that kicked off the Marvel Cinematic Universe was a blast to watch and talk about and still holds up pretty dang well.

Finally, we talk with my friend and our first ever guest, filmmaker Sam Koji Hale about his indepenedent puppet feature film, Yamasong: March of the Hollows. It’s a unique and special film that Sam gives an awesome insight. With Sam we even recorded and episode about a huge influence on Sam, The Dark Crystal.

Keep and eye out for these episodes over the next two months and plenty more to come as we are continuing to watch and record!
