A misfit crew, sometime in the distant future… ❤️🩵💛
I wanted to try making a star trek crew of my own, so here they are! (I took a few creative liberties)

I used to spend a lot of time in the Atlanta nerdy convention circuit, did a lot of volunteering as a broke teen so I could get my badges for cheap or free, and a lot of my formative experiences happened at Dragon*Con. I was in with the Star Trek circuit, specifically. I was a card carrying member of Starfleet International and did a lot of crossover events with my local chapter and the local chapter of the Klingon Assault Group.
I was working in the hospitality suite (a room or area set up by the con to serve snacks and drinks, usually where the most alcohol is consumed after dark) early in the morning on the first Friday of a full weekend con, and we were all just kind of shuffling around with our coffees and setting out coolers full of sodas and water bottles.
One of our other staff members comes stumbling in for their shift and our head person asks if they saw anyone else coming through the lobby so far, so we have an idea on whether or not we need to really hustle before a hoard of grumpy not-fully-awake nerds are descending upon us for caffeine and cheese puffs.
"I saw a group of out-of-costume Klingons at check-in, but no one else so far."
We all nodded and kept going about our work for a good beat or two before one of the other volunteers suddenly stands up straight, blinks a few times, and says "...so you saw people in the lobby?"

“go to hell" is basic. "i hope your fav star trek aliens get redesigned in modern trek" is smart. its possible. its terrifying.

My favourite scene, from any of the Star Trek series EVER, has to be in the original series, season 2, the trouble with tribbles
Where, Scotty and Chekov are having a drink at the space station, and there's Klingons near by, also having a drink, but this specific Klingon, was insulting the crew of the enterprise.
Chekov wants to get up and fight this Klingon, (as he should) for insulting them, however Scotty (being the Scottish voice of reason) calms Chekov down, saying stuff like "they're only trying to do this to get a reaction out of us, don't do it, it's not worth it"
ITS ONLY WHEN THE ENTERPRISE IS BEING INSULTED THAT SCOTTY PULLS A FULL WOPPING 180°, AND NOW HES LIKE "OH THEYRE GONNA H A V E IT", YOU CAN BASICALLY HEAR THE "SCOTLAND FOREEEEVVVEEERRRR" AND HE DECKS THE KLINGONS.
idk about y'all but, that was the moment where Scott became a favourite character of mine, and forever will be
Scotty X enterprise is real lads pass it on

An Introduction to Kirk Fu by Rabittooth.
James Blish, in his prose adaptations of The Original Series' episodes, just called this "space karate." I like Kirk Fu better.
