I wish there was like sports betting on these type of fandom polls imagine if you got a perfect bracket and it was in the chronically online competition instead of march madness like what would you win. Certainly not 1 billion dollars
look, if anyone wants to start a betting ring for next year im not gonna stop you
Thank you for the tag, @tigerlyla-of-metinna and @laurikarauchscat :')
I can participate in so far that I kind of have 2 (two) ships now! \:D/ or, no: 3 even. And I can mention 2 more:
1. Emhyr/Geralt, duh
my true blorbos; where my brain and other body parts live
2. Wei Wuxian/Lan Wangji
(MDZS, supported by pretty pictures of CQL/The Untamed) OMG the protagonists of a multi media phenomenon - so much fanfiction! SUCH A GOOD BOOK! 2 massive bitches!
3. Murderbot/ART
More sarcastic bastards! I love them. ART is voiced by Emhyr in my head.
4. Jiang Cheng/Lan Jingyi
(Also MDZS.) Well. Not a big ship but the bitchiest. There is a certain tendency. Because I have taste.
5. Master Airplane/Mobei-jun
I just finished reading SVSSS and am now looking through the fanfiction. This ship is appealing. It's ridiculous. My king is very lordly and demony and Airplane bro is the second biggest bitch in that world. Prudabaga (My fair Witcher) wrote fics about them!
thinking more about authorial insecurity in fiction... it truly is frustrating to me when an author is clearly ashamed of their own premises, or is preemptively responding to imagined criticism. this is where you get a lot of unfunny humor about how stupid genre conventions are and how Unrealistic fantastical/speculative elements are. like ultimately the reason that authors undercut and overexplain their own works is because they're insecure about audience reaction and want to get ahead of the haters by proclaiming that they're Not Cringe. this will not work because I, the ultimate hater, will eventually find them and make one million posts about how much I despise irony poisoning
I greatly appreciate having learned from SVSSS what a stallion novel is because I can now apply that term to certain fics before I close the tab on them.
It's not an "abandoned" WIP, I didn't intentionally leave it in the forest to die and forget about it, it is a lost wip who wandered into the forest despite my pleas not to. I sit at the edge of the forest every day and hear it calling for help but there is nothing I can do. It is a haunting wip
I just clicked on a post with a muted term and that reblog didn't HAVE that term tagged - but some other reblog had. Does the system now access all tags in all reblogs? I'd personally appreciate that because SOMEONE out there might have thought of tagging things properly.
(I usually don't open muteboxes but in this case wondered why THIS tumblr user had reblogged THAT show (they hadn't!))
vampires have been drinking human blood for centuries they don't give a fuck about guys on eight different antidepressants. they were sucking on asbestos factory workers
They say judas is in hell because he betrayed jesus but thats actualy a misconception, that was gods plan and so he didnt do anything wrong. Judas however IS in hell because god thinks he made his son gay
