Genuinely VERY confused, why is the majority of the fandom blaming Jason for the downfall of his friendship with Reyna?

i legit came across like a handful of comments today like "Reyna deserved much better than dirtbag Jason, he was such a jerk to her, choosing Piper over her and not talking to her after he came back to camp jupiter"

like?? stop over victimizing Reyna in this situation, it isnt even that serious lmao its just teenage drama, she doesn't need pity for this. both Reyna AND Jason were accountable for their crumbling friendship, it wasnt all on Jason. Reyna made PLENTY of mistakes too they are LITERAL teenagers, stuff like this is normal ffs. She didn't send a search party after Jason to look for him, she never held a memorial service for him even after the camp basically thought he was dead, she never initiated a conversation with Jason either after he came back, and practically avoided him the entire time completely (she flat out avoided eye contact with him in BOO and intentionally ONLY acknowledged Piper who was standing next to him)

Also, Reyna did literally the same thing to Jason that people are bashing him for, The fandom's problem with him is that he shouldnt have developed feelings for piper bc it "betrays his connection" with Reyna. But anyone ever thought about how Reyna developed feelings for Percy almost immediately after he came to camp while simultaneously claiming that she longed for a relationship with jason? if you put it in the fandom's logic, Reyna too, was "unloyal" to Jason, since she did not hesitate in giving a random new boy her best friend's position.

you cant tell me she wouldnt have gotten with percy if he were single. be so fr rn. but apparently its completely alright if she moved on from jason with percy, but its illegal if jason moved on from reyna with piper, right? they owed eachother absolutely nothing. They were just friends.

Jason had no reason to even think reyna liked him that way since she canonically avoided him thoroughly after the whole venus mess. so no. Just bc Reyna wasnt upfront with her feelings for him, does NOT mean he "lead" her on.

this situation isnt black or white, i think yall forget that they are both literal children

k: k is such a boy dad. i think he would get nervous with a little girl because he would be so afraid of accidentally hurting her sdfjsfs :( but a little boy! he would be k's shadow. he'd take him with him to run errands, to walk the dog, even to work if he's able. he would make it his duty to turn the little guy into a miniature version of himself. he'd even have him double team you (the mom) with matching pouty faces when k wants to go for ice cream but you've said it's too late. because how can you say no to both of them at the same time? he's the cool dad 99% of the time so you usually have to be the disciplinarian but he can step up to the plate if and when he needs to. fake beefs with his son about which one you love more.

fuma: equal parts girl dad and boy dad. with a little girl, he's spoiling tf out of her and treating her like she hung the moon in the sky. it's a stark contrast to how he'd raise a little boy—making sure he corrects even the smallest misbehavior. he teaches his son about nutrition and being active from a young age so he doesn’t have to struggle with it later in in life while also playing video games with him when they get back home. his little girl is his princess and he buys her pretty things and snuggles with her mid-day if she wants him to. his little boy is expected to help with dinner and cleaning up and he watches his words a lot more carefully. it's not that he doesn't hold them to the same standard so much as it is letting the mom take the lead with the daughter while he takes the lead with his son. he will still make sure his little princess isn't acting crazy. she just gets away with a little bit more until her mom's around.

nicholas: he's a girl dad and i'm so sad about it !! he's the softest dad, carrying her around as much as she wants. he will cave to anything she asks for and if mom says no, he'll give it to her in secret. paints her tiny nails :(( her freedom of expression is very important to him so he'll be walking around the grocery store with her dressed fully in costume if that's what she wanted to wear that day. he's good at disciplining her, but in the gentlest way possible. he'll use a soft voice and puppy eyes to make sure she doesn't feel like he's angry. she's his heart for real. he comes home and no matter what kind of day he's had, he finds her first thing and spends quality time with her, only to make your heart swell with that much more love for him.

euijoo: both pt. 2. with a son, he's dedicated to raising a polite, well-intentioned young man. he has many heart to hearts with him as he's growing up to make sure he understands that just because some boys may act this way or that way, it doesn't mean that it's right. makes sure he understands how to treat women and be mindful of their struggles. his daughter is his sunshine in a sometimes stormy world. he's so protective of her. if she trips or hurts her finger or someone at school makes her cry, he's falling over his feet to make sure she's okay. makes sure to warn her about "how boys can be" and will give a stern look to any boy around her so they know to be on their best behavior with his daughter. good at talking either of them through any misbehavior by making them understand exactly why what they did was wrong and how they can handle it better next time. will watch them carefully when the situation arises again, a proud smile and words of praise when they navigate it successfully.

I read 3 parts: current, 2nd half 2024 until the end of the year, and 1-2 years in the future.

Before reading please know:

If you don't believe in tarot then you don't have to and please never mock people who loves reading tarot predictions, we all have rights and our own free will, and it's not a crime.

Tarot readings are not facts, they are predictions or you can also say a glimpse of what is happening and what would happen.

How detail the reading is influenced by the reader, for myself I can't give a very detailed reading yet, so this is how I far I could do it.

Also I've read tarot for chanbaek many times since 2021 and this reading... I could say it's the most positive out of all readings I've done.

Current situation with chanbaek:

Before this current time (1st half of 2024) chanbaek had a series of hard time in their relationship, doesn't have to be because of themselves, could be bcs of many other factors, but bcs of those issues they experienced some kind of slow down BUT now at this time they finally healed and able to make peace, so I think the issues are more to last year (2023) cus I read them too last year and yes they were having issues here and there, with external people too. Now they finally felt content of the resolution and they can see the positive outcomes. Because of them finally moving on to a better time for their relationship, at the same time their relationship is growing to stability and is going to be steady. FYI, in the past years when people read tarot for chanbaek, it's already predicted that they are going to reach a stable and steady period of their relationship SOMEDAY when they are both ready. And I believe... this current time is going to be that beginning. Additionally, they will be able to see their past mistakes, reflect, and learn, and be open to new perspectives, they both know what they want and what each other want, and they will no longer beat around the bush, they will immediately take action now, all for their relationship.

This year baekhyun will finish kyoongcon and chanyeol will finally either release PCY1 or reveal the first official hint for PCY1 and like both of them worked so hard for all of their individual projects 1-3rd quarter and they finish them well! So at the end of 2024 they will be having holiday and party and celebrate with family hehe and also after this celebration I think chanbaek won't like rest assured, both of them will go back to work right away and they might think its gonna be a little harder bcs they both alr achieved many great things in 2024 and 2025 the standard will be even higher but both of them will have this kind of worry and they will be open to each other about this! They will share and discuss their plans, whats next, whats good, they will always be there for each other no matter what.Oh adding to this!! I think both will be living that double income couple life so well you know.. like they go to work, do business, they go home, sleep tgt, eat tgt, really happy workaholic couple 😂

Okay I feel like the result isnt as detailed as the first 2 questions' results BUT still this is a glimpse of what the future holds for their relationship and the answer indicates they will spend more time tgt compared to this year or previous year, they will have more quality time with each other and people around them, and they will build that connection as a commited couple who will walk to their future together. Also a card describes chanbaek's commited relationship as an air sign, I'm an air sign myself and I feel like this is really really good, being an air sign is wonderful and just the best because like air sign is a sign of freedom and humanity, air sign likes to fly away yet at the same time, they know when to stop flying and rest for a bit and look what is happening under the sky. sorry 4 enstars discoursing on main but i think hc-ing izumi's gender as Confidently genderfluid or 'idc my gender is pretty' or honestly wearing any noncis label Very Confidently shows a huuuuuge misunderstanding of his character.,,, this is a character implied 2 have disordered eating habits, adhere strictly to the most popular beauty standards, and harshly criticize even his closest friends if he thinks theyre taking actions that might make them less traditionally attractive to the public eye. not saying hes cis bc i dont think he is but i think taking his cattiness as him being like a 'girlboss idgaf queer icon' and not a cover for his crippling self consciousness is crazy like im genuinely surprised at how often i see that take when izumi at his core is a rlly anxious person whos severely paranoid abt the way other ppl perceive him. not that ppl who are anxious or self conscious cant b trans like obviously thats not what i mean but i think portraying him as someone who is Proud to be out just isnt accurate to his character ☠️ i think he would struggle w a lot of internalized transphobia and hold himself to the same double standard we see him hold himself to in canon - he can forgive and indulge leo's bad habits but not his own, he can support arashi and tsukasa through their own self doubt but not himself etc etc. maybe its nitpicky of me but as a trans person who has endless love for the trans community but struggles 2 overcome that internalized shame and anxiety abt my own identity at times i think thats smth ppl tend to brush off in characters and i feel like its rlly apparent in izumi sena ‼️‼️‼️‼️

I have deleted posts a couple of times when people pointed out that I'm inadvertently promoting a narrative used by toxic fans. I'm not opposed to being told. But I'm sorry, "JK bent the truth about something"? If a crazy person is going to pick that up and beat him with it, when every single celebrity on earth does it, I really can't control the depths they'll go to, can I? People who twist words will always find words to twist.

And finally, consider whether holding him up as a perfect human being, who couldn't possibly tell a white lie, contributes to a different kind of toxicity. Because if you make him perfect, he has no room to live a normal life. He'll always be beholden to that perfection. He can't swear in a song, he can't talk about sex, he can't smoke, he can't hang out with a female, he can't get tattoos, he can't just be a guy because you hold him to an unachievable standard. And the fans act entitled to perfection that he can absolutely never ever achieve. Then act aggressive when he doesn't meet those standards. That would be mental abuse if you did it to a partner or a family member and it's parasocially abusive to do it to him when you supposedly admire him.

I'm sorry this has come off defensive. But I get entirely too many asks expecting me to answer for a bunch of toxic fans that I do not associate with. They're not my children. Take it up with them.

i mean first of all, based on the words used in other translations, the intended description was just like. worn. aged and dirty. and like i see where the confusion comes from, but i don't think toby really foresaw people taking every instance of the word dusty and interpreting it to mean. literally covered in monster remains.

but that being said (essay incoming),

even if the kid DID hurt monsters, the double standard some folks are exhibiting, like the individual in my last post about this (which i assume is what prompted this ask) is crazy. not that it was OKAY to kill monsters, because of course it wasn't and isn't. but uh... humans are also living and feeling beings? idk i just feel like i see far more people willing to justify folks like undyne, asgore, and ceroba for their murderous actions (yes. im counting their extremely deliberate attempted murders as murderous actions) than i do people defending blue soul kid who was almost certainly ACTUALLY A CHILD and definitely scared out of their mind from being attacked at every turn.

there's obviously quite a bit of nuance here, what with humans and monsters being separate and demonizing one another for actual millennia. the thing is, these characters with murderous intentions towards humans are very clearly products of their environment. and guess what? so is a kid that falls into a world where everyone outside the safety of the ruins not only wants them dead, but proactively seeks to make it happen. frankly, i think having a kid who killed monster(s) during their time in the underground just adds to the worldbuilding and realism.

all this to say, i don't really think it's toby's fault that some fans like to cherry pick characters' actions, condemning some while shouting from the rooftops that others should not be criticized for the same deeds because they were grieving.

they're all messy and they're all Extremely well written and realistic for the world they are in. none of these things happened in a vacuum, and it's really strange to take one person's actions out of all context and not another's.

What made you ship it?

The piano duet!

What are your favorite things about the ship?

I love a good corruption arc involving a young female character. I can't think of many stories that have the kind of ending that Stoker has, which I appreciate. Also, doubling! Both India and Charlie have this eerie out of place feel to them - India being locked away in this gothic mansion, isolated from her peers, Charlie being locked away in an institution.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I suppose that I'm more invested in India as a character than I am with Charlie. He's there for her journey so I don't mind her killing him at the end (although I do like fic that explores what would happen if he lived.)

Uncle Charlie/Charlie - Ship it

What made you ship it?

I was intrigued by it the first time I watched the film but I resisted shipping it, then a few years ago I watched the film properly for the second time and they took over my brain and haven't let go yet.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

That it's such a rich complex relationship. It's both extremely troubling (incestuous, abusive and an age gap - they're a triple threat!) and extremely romantic. What does it mean to be connected, by blood and potentially psychically, to someone like Uncle Charlie who is awful yet also has a point about some things? Again, the doubling and the way it examines gender roles are really interesting to me (people who say it can't be a noir because there's no femme fatale are wrong - Uncle Charlie is clearly the femme fatale!)

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

This is unpopular with the letterboxd crowd but the incestuous subtext is what elevates the film beyond a standard thriller and it would not be better if it wasn't there. Just because something makes you uncomfortable doesn't mean that it's bad.

Silva/Bond - Ship it

What made you ship it?

I watched Skyfall, saw Bond getting homoerotically menaced and I enjoyed it.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

The interesting thing about the Craig Bond films is the way they examine what does it mean to be an MI6 agent and Silva operates as a dark mirror to Bond to explore this. When you factor in M their relationship almost feels pseudo-incestuous with Bond as the good loyal son and Silva the bad rebellious son come back to torment Mummy. whats crazy about the hetlor vs gaylor debate is the insane double standard

like ppl will have differing opinions about politics and yet can still coexist but i say taylor swift girl kisser on the internet and suddenly im insane and delusional and need mental help?

I think we can all agree politics r a much more important subject than fucking taylor swift's love life and we are able to respect other people's opinions there so why cant we do the same in this scenario??

and one of the biggest hetlor arguments is that shes a real person and this could hurt her feelings, its a violation, and its dehumanizing but ppl will talk shit abt our presidents/other world leaders all the time, often to their face as well.

Are they also not real people??? I think that might be more dehumanizing than calling taylor swift gay

also if you have a problem with a celebrity being gay in 2023 maybe u need to take a look within urself bc harassing ppl on the internet is not the way to go. Just leave us alone, no gaylor i know is looking to pick a fight.

The double standards in this fandom are sometimes crazy! People both here (especially one “Larrie” blog) and on Twitter going crazy about how embarrassing Louis is and how stupid he is because of ONE like, and at the same time the same people are praising Harry and go all #freeharry when he’s modelling with his newest fake girlfriend in NY.

Sorry, but why is it, that people feel sorry for Harry and his closet, but Louis gets called out every time he tries to keep up the straight image. We haven’t have a stunt gf/date since the Sofie disaster and if some likes and follows on IG can keep it at that, could we then just happy and not call him out every time

Sorry for the rant! And I know you are not “guilty” in this, I just needed to get it out. I seriously feel sorry for Louis and lot of the time because his fans sometimes is so quick to stab him in the back!

Holaaaaa anon. im pretty sure I know the exact account you’re talking about hahaha. There are a couple like that which are pretty popular, and it’s very frustrating. Craaazy double standards go on between louis and harry, and I think a lot of it is because Harry’s got a glass closet going on. His actions look like he’s bashing at the door, trying to get out, being himself as much as he can and being loud. He’s all but confirmed he’s not straight, and we see him actively jumping around with the pride flag and being flamboyant and very touchy with men.

The uhhhh not hate, but frustration, towards louis, mostly comes from it appearing that he doesn’t even wanna come out. That he’s just not even trying anymore. That he’s not being loud, or true to himself, and he’s just doing the bare minimum for us, and for himself. That he’s too focused on appearing straight for his career now and is compliant with his forced closeting.

However, the lack of louis’ overt pushing, means a lack of stunts. The Big Gay War in 2015 is a great example. He was pushing soooooo hard, and got stuck with the most godawful stunt ever. Mind you, louis took a lot on his shoulders when it came to closeting during the 1d years. I’m absolutely not saying that Harry didn’t, but louis did more and more to give Harry a little more freedom every time. Again, not comparing, but stating a fact that S*mon had louis with his hands tied and louis wanted to protect his baby. He was treated very differently by S*mon, given harsh reprimands and gaslit and was bullied into doing it.

I think he has a bit of a different perspective on it because of that. Harry and Louis are both very different people with very different ways of dealing with their closet, and it’s silly to compare them though. And I think louis is happy where he is at the moment, and I don’t think he’ll come out without Harry. I just don’t see him doing it alone.

It comes down to everything from their fashion choices, to stage presence, to fan interactions, to interviews, to stunts, and they’re just not going to be loud in the same way. Not to mention, their teams are extremely different too. The Az*ffs looooooooove love love Harry being a trendsetter, and actively encourage (most of) it. He does still do shit to fight back, 100%, but the Harry styles brand now relies essentially on his glass closet and the ambiguity of his sexuality, ya know?

I do hope we get very loud larry content soon though. It does get frustrating. We’ve not even gotten a single interaction between them for years.

Anyway, they shouldn’t be compared. Louis loves Harry, Harry loves Louis, they’re together, they deal with their closets differently, they have different levels of fame and fan demographics and brands, and they’ll come out when they can and are ready, and that’s the end of that.

Getting whiplash from the Israel supporters going from “how dare you make excuses for terror” to “yes we’re going to starve and carpet bomb 2 million people to death, including children, cry about it” in less than a day.

PLEASE dont even get me started on the israeli/palestinian conflict. people and their opinions got me feeling like im the only one out of my sane mind. idk where you're from but here in germany they're starting to fine and sanction whoever joins manifestations in support of palestine. they're framing these perfectly lawful and peaceful gatherings as "pro hamas", when actually the protesters are just calling for the decolonization of palestine. like???? what the fuck??? when did we get to the point where we not only make amends for colonization but we encourage/fund it even???? i advocate for a variety of causes on my social media accounts, but never ever in my life I've witnessed the entirety of western society being so united and unanimous in their support of settler colonists who openly practice apartheid, ethnic cleansing and other means of torture to secure their hold on a territory that they literally have no jurisdiction or claim over. it's.... just baffling. and the crazy double standards the international community applies when it comes to reading and analyzing this war are simply far-fetched, prejudiced and intentionally blind. i truly cannot make a sense of it for the life of me. like, dont get me wrong, i dont think the conflict in itself is overly complicated and way too hard to pin down, far from it, i feel that painting it as too complex for the ordinary person is just one strategy to gatekeep it and make sure that thinking people don't question the dominant narrative and rationalize what is actually happening there and has been happening for the past 70+ years. because yeah... saying that hamas is a horror born as a consequence and in retaliation to an even greater horror is seen as controversial and pro-terrorist. saying that israel is an ethnocracy led by far right war criminals and is therefore not entitled to the occupation of palestine is seen as antisemitism. zionists control the narrative as much as they control who lives, who dies, who gets to eat, or who can have electricity and running water, and you can bet anything that they're gonna make the palestinians look like bloodthirsty, aggressive, ruthless warmongering terrorists, aka just the perfect cartoonish convenient villain they need in order to lend their colonization of those lands even more credibility and legitimacy. and the international community is of course on board with all of that

let's build ANOTHER KEYBOARD, the 1up level 60: weird keycaps edition

this is a budget custom level60 board from 1up keyboards in turquoise with tecsee purple panda tactile switches, akko screw in stabilizers in transparent pink (which i happened to have leftovers of from my wife build), and then some wonky keycaps cobbled together from the idobao gradient oem keycap set (a cheaper version of drop's artifact bloom rainbow set), cherry profile de/qwertz keys from kp republic's international set, and one random constellation key from my xda profile constellation set that's filling the # space.

this time, let's talk keycaps.

my husband is working his way to b1 fluency in german so he'll have an easier time getting permanent residency after we move (i also need to study, since i... dont speak much german despite being a citizen) and it's been driving him crazy to have to enter ¨ with alt on his standard keyboard, so he asked me to build him a qwertz layout keyboard. so, for black friday i kept my eye out on sales.

what he wanted:

a 65% or smaller keyboard (no need for f-row, arrows, etc, since he'll be using it specifically for typing in german and will have his laptop accessible)

underglow, not show-through per-key rgb

he wanted that rainbow keycap set from drop real bad

qwertz keycaps

lighter tactiles than his current work board, which has akko jelly purples on it

something that would be small and light enough to hook up on his lap on the couch

so, i went through all the bf/cm sales and found 1up, and then showed him and he said "yes that's exactly what i want"

the hardest part of the buying process was picking switches, since he wanted both something cheap and something a little lighter than the jelly purple actuation, and i didnt want to buy from elsewhere when i could get them included with the 1up build. i was going to do gateron milkies (since he doesnt care about per-key) but they were sold out, and i've heard a lot of good stuff about panda tactiles, so i took the jump on the tecsee.

if you're wondering: they're just as nice as people say. they're really nide. they aren't as thunky and im sure they sound even better lubed & filmed, but they're silky smooth and light enough i can use them without wanting to die.

this is the third stacked acrylic board i've built, and i have to say, stacked acrylic is both really affordable and really nice to work with. there's a lot less fidgeting with making sure things fit in solid housings, and i enjoy the peeling sticky off of each layer process because i have ocd.

some glossary:

underglow: there are LEDs on the bottom side of the pcb

per-key rgb: there's an LED for each key, called per-key or smd LED, it all means the same thing. this means every key lights up. there are some switches that aren't built to fit smd boards, so always double check that you have ones with a gap to fit.

keycap profiles: the different alignment and ways that keycaps are made, including height, shape, curve, and edge. there are about a billion. there will be a section more in-depth later.

and this time, i remembered photos!

here's all the acrylic peeled and stacked, with the top side of the pcb, on my messy dining table. so you can see here, it's really easy to take these apart and put them back together—great for upkeep.

one of the really cool parts about this pcb is that it's hotswap (i.e., no soldering required, just stick the switches in) but the hotswaps are soldered in such a way as you can adjust the layout slightly for your preference. i'm not sure if you could set it up as an iso (i didn't check) but you can see here how it looks on the bottom row, where the pink line is one switch orientation and the blue line is the other

since this isn't a per-key rgb, that means there's no need to make sure there's space for a top-facing smd led, so the switches can be placed in either direction. which is super cool!

when installing switches on a hot swap board, you have to be really careful of pin alignment. the spaces that the pins go into in the hot swap can be jarred loose, and the pins, if bent, won't make connection, preventing the switch from working. here's an example of what bent pins look like

the top switch in both these photos has straight pins, the bottom in both photos has one bent pin. the good news is, bent pins are really easy to fix: you can usually bend them back with your fingers, if it's just a slight misalignment, or you can use tweezers.

to prevent bending, when you insert a switch, always press in the pin-side first. so if you look at the holes on the pcb above, a "north" facing pin insert (the pink line) you'd push in the top side of the switch first. a "south" (the blue line) you'd push in the bottom first. you can then flip the pcb over to check and make sure everything went in.

here's a close-up of hot swap sockets on the bottom of the pcb. the pink circles show where the pins are in the housings. success! all of these are inserted correctly.

once this board was built, it came time for the keycaps. as i said up top, this is a bit of a cobbled-together keycap set, in that there's a few different-height sets combined. so let's talk about.... keycaps.

there are about a billion different guides to keycap profiles. rather than rehash them here, i'm going to talk about the simple stuff, because i was so confused trying to figure this out.

there are, put simply, two different "styles" of keycaps, broken up into dozens of different profiles. there are "uniform" keycaps, where all the keys are the same height, and "sculpted", where the keys are staggered to shape the profile of the board to be taller at the top, lower in the middle, and rise again at the bottom. the most popular uniform keycap profiles are xda and dsa. the most popular sculpted keycap profiles are cherry and oem. you can find a whole bunch of other types and options, too. some companies (like tai hao and akko) tend to only produce certain profiles (tai hao and osa respectively)

here's a side by side of xda, oem, and cherry keycaps all in the same row. they're all slightly different heights, shapes, and sculpts.

in sculpted keycap profiles, each row is of a slightly different height. for qwety layouts that would be r1 (number row), r2 (qwerty row), r3 (home row), r4 (zxcv row), r5 (space/ctrl row). function row usually is either r1 or r5.

since this keyboard is a little cobbled together, keycaps wise, you can see here the different height of some of the keys. if you're looking into non-qwerty layouts, i'd suggest a uniform profile. you can get international inserts like the ones i got for my husband here, or buy the international sets for nor/de/fr, but you can also just buy dsa or xda and swap keys around as needed.

now, be aware when mixing and matching sets, unless you can guarantee that your keycap sets come from the same manufacturer (i.e., cannon keys, idobao, drop, etc... so if you aren't buying knockoffs or recolors) the printing may be slightly different. here are two different xda profile keycap sets, side by side.

you can see the constellation set is wider and a little flatter, while the night sakura set is taller and a little skinnier. they're both still xda, but the print is very slightly different. (in all fairness, the night sakura may actually be kam knockoffs, im not sure. they were advertised as xda, but they don't quite match the profile).

one of the other things keycaps will be marked as is PBT vs ABS—this is the variety of plastic they're made from. pbt is more sturdy. thats really all you need to know.

finally, there are what are called "doubleshot" and "show-through" keycaps. doubleshot means that the keycap is made from two different types of plastic, machined together, and it makes them a little more sturdy. most show-through keycaps are also doubleshot, but the lower plastic isn't the full body of the key, but a transparent layer to allow the light from the per-key rgb to show through.

finally, you can get what are called "artisan" keycaps. these are single keycaps, usually custom or small-run, and they can be made of ceramic, plastic, resin, glass, metal...etc. some are standard shapes, some arent.

from left to right, this is an oem r1, cherry r1, artisan from hirosart, and osa r1. as you can see, these are all very different heights and shapes. artisans are super cool (expensive) but also very fun. you should get one if you have a mechanical keyboard. they spark So much joy.

finally, here's a sound test. not plugged in because im lazy. sorry about the horrible flashing of my actual keyboard in the background (flashing light warning: please just listen if you want to hear the sound test and you're light sensitive)

omg regarding your posts YEAH i really dont get stancy, especially in s4. we already know this doesnt work, it was a disaster. and tbh!! i think a lot of people place all the blame on steve when nancy is just as responsible, if not more, for what happened to their relationship. but if you say that anywhre then people just flag you as being sexist or misogynistic when like. uhm no. the amount of times ive seen people try to talk about it and other people play that card as ridiculous. criticizing steve is fine, hell they ENJOY it, but you critique nancy and her actions - even the duffers refuse to do it and act like her cheating was justified and thats NEVER been addressed?? - then youre the problem. so sick of the part of this fandom thats like this... (also sorry this got kinda off topic but i just. hate stancy with every part of my being and im not even joking 😭)

Yes like stancy is a huge mess! And I have no idea why the duffers did that with stancy in season 4. And yeah I think a lot of people purely blame steve and don’t want to admit that Nancy was also just wrong in this whole situation. Or people will just get defensive when people (especially steve Stans) say that Nancy was also at fault for their relationship. And it’s like canon makes it explicitly clear that both of them just don’t work together. And you can go round and round arguing about who’s at fault but it’s both of them who messed up and they weren’t right for one another. Two people/characters can be good people/characters but just not be right for one another (romantic or platonically).

Ohhh lord I hate when others use the misogyny card or the sexist when others are just talking about actions that a character did. It has nothing to do with being sexist (unless that’s what some people are doing but I hate how everything is just immediately claimed as sexist when that’s not entirely the whole thing problem at all). No literally sooo many people enjoy criticizing Steve and yet they hate it when people criticize Nancy to the point where it just feels like double standards. And it’s like you’ve committed a sin by just criticizing her - it’s like this whole ‘girlboss’ thing got taken so fucking extreme and that’s the big problem. It’s just ahhh - it’s just gotten so crazy and I just hate the part of the fandom that immediately jumps to sexism and misogyny and other words lol. It’s gotten so exhausting.

Literally I hate how Nancy’s cheating is just never addressed or people don’t see it as cheating. Because she knew that she wanted to be with Jonathan while she was with Steve so that’s emotional cheating and leading on of Steve. And then that whole getting together with Jonathan in season 2 while moments before just mentioning how Steve is her boyfriend/acknowledging Steve’s existence as her romantic partner. And it’s just gah idk it’s sooo weird how some people just won’t admit it. Also yeah I also hate how the duffers just glossed over that.

It’s all good that it got off topic - I also got off topic. And yeahhh I also hate stancy but I also love diving into how just messed up it all is. Like the messiness just fascinates me but also stancy pisses me of so much.

hello! i wanted to respond to this rq bc i've literally been thinking about it all day

thank you for being interested in dak and roxy i was so scared people would stop reading after i introduced that little plot line! all i've gotta say is... roxy writes based off life experience or scenarios she creates in her head... so... yeah... hahahaha

i did not originally intend to show roxy's pool date with jo and camille but i will write it tomorrow after i get off work and post it asap! i've been writing the season one finale for literal weeks at this point and i'm starting to go crazy over it so itll be nice to get into a different little one shot for a bit. i'll post it in a reblog of this question so we can all find it :)

right now i will give you a little sneak peek about how EVERYONE feels about the roxy-dak mess because i'm generous like that, and i don't really get to show everyones feelings on it in the story bc we only get inside her head... there's a bit in chapter 13 where we see a little bit of how the guys feel about it, but i didn't want to make it a whole thing and then it kinda turned into a whole thing 🤷‍♀️

anyway: how my characters view love and roxy's relationship through some cannon events and my own personal beliefs

jo: takes absolutely no shit when it comes to love, we see this when kendall has his thing with lucy... she grew up listening to boy bands and has a standard for how men should treat her <3 plus i think she's been in one non-serious "we went on a few dates so i guess he's my boyfriend" relationship from back home so she has a little experience. she thinks dak isn't worth any more of her time after he stood her up but she is afraid to voice this to her bestie...

camille: is a hopeless romantic and would go nearly to the ends of the earth for the ones she loves. she's a "if it's meant to be, it's meant to be" kinda gal and at age 16 fully believes logan is the love of her life. i think he's her first partner! she wants roxy to be as in love as she is and thinks that, while shitty, the whole standing her up thing is just a bump in the road on their way to everlasting love

carlos: pre-established to have never been in a relationship but he's like a silly jock so i'm sure he's been on at least a few dates! he has older sisters in my story (because he feels like he was written by a woman (me. i'm that woman.)) so you know he knows the proper way to show a date a good time! he thought roxy looked so pretty on her first date and he just wants her to have a good time and be happy. if dak makes her happy, he's happy! and he was actually kind of okay with the stand up thing because they got to hang out and dance together <3

kendall: captain (?? i don't think i made this up... this is in the show right?) of the hockey team in a midwestern high school. he's had a few partners and i know his mother whooped his ass (metaphorically) into shape after she found out he goofed around too hard and hurt someone he went out with on accident... as for the roxy and dak affair, he may or may not have picked up on the fact one of his good buddies may or may not like her... he's not a fan but will not say anything bc he isn't in the business of telling her what to do (she will hit him with her songbook very hard)

logan: while a believer in his love science, he's yet to find a way to quantify how he feels about camille after the party in chapter 10 :) he dated a bit his first few years in high school (mostly double dates with james? i also think is a fact from the show), and has had a few non-serious partners but he's never felt this way about anyone else! in his love science-y world, he can tell that dak does not feel the same way about roxy as she feels about him. if he did, he would've come to the party. simple love science!

james: good lord! he has dated anyone who is someone at mountain aire high school and it's always been to elevate or retain his own social status. so when he's normally a flirt for fun, or because it makes his boring little small town feel less boring, it's always been a game to him. except somewhere along the way of flirting out of habit with his new friend, he might have started to actually mean some of the things he's said. he thinks dak's a douche for standing her up and he's trying to make that clear to her the only way he knows how: vague hints and comments here and there. another established james fact is he's never been dumped, so i imagine this brings up a little bit of fear of rejection in him as well. he has trouble voicing his own feelings as well, since he's always trying to come across as perfect.

whoo boy that was way more than i though it was gonna be lol. if you make it this far, you deserve a medal. thanks for the suggestion! i'm excited to write the pool date... we haven't had enough roxy/jo/camille in the fic lately
