help me decide what to read
listen i know i said that i want some nice book to just chill and giggle and fangirl and all that stuff because i've been reading too many sad ass books lately and im tired of crying
............but well at the end of the day people (me) say what they wanna say 🤷🏻♀️
so im debating myself between 3 heartbreaking, uncomfortable and disturbing books right now. 1 in english, 2 in spanish. A Little Life, Cadáver Exquisito, El Monstruo Pentápodo
A Little Life
i dont know much what it is about but i've looked its triger warnings up. and they are plenty. like, plenty
i dont really mind them tho because thats what im looking for right now: raw feelings. so it's perfect.
also, i feel like the less i know about the story the better 'cause i like to get into books that way, so if u have read it maybe tell what it was like for u without spoilers !!!!! ;p
in other hand, one of the things about A Little Life that has been stopping me from reading it these days is that..... idk if i should read it in english or spanish. i thought "well if i read in spanish and end up loving it i wont be on hustle of trying to find it in english, 'cause i'll be able just to go to my near (not that near) book shop in town and just buy the book".
but the thing about book translations is that i KNOW many things get lost in translation, and i have already confirmed that; so i thought "well then i just read in english and that's it" but then if i end up wanting it in physical i will be waiting like an eternity to buy it; and even after that, what if someone wants to me to lend it to them but notice it's in english and cant read it?
well, me lending my books is less likely to happen, but still!
Next book: Cadáver Exquisito
its literal translation would be Exquisite Corpse (Tender is The Flesh)
it's about cannibalism
i heard there's a part where a pregnant woman is head down tied up by her feet, and she's left there until she bleeds to death
sounds ill right? well that's the point
some reviews i've read said that i'll probably be wanting to become a vegetarian after reading this so it's a 2 in 1
anyway, what was the last book? ahhh
El Monstruo Pentápodo
in english it would be like The Pentapod Monster. kinda sounds like a children's book right? really nice!
well, it's not
things are not really getting better here, this book is about pedophilia
i have already searched a fragment up and it's absolutely disgusting, how that man is lusting over a little girl is infuriating and revolting
but hey, i said i wanted raw feelings, and this- if not already the others- is gonna make me throw up. u know, just what im looking for
so...... what yall think i should read first

Any more random Soul or other such Lore you’d like to share with us that you’ve come up with but can’t fit in the comic anywhere?
GET READY TO READ. Chara Timeline Lore!!!
Also take all of this as soft cannon. Most, if not all, will not be showing up in the comic (or at least in this amount of detail). And the comic does not need this information to make sense.
These book entries are from an in-universe source.
I hope you enjoyed the world building :> Again this is mostly all for fun!
4th Wall Break Time!
- Humans are completely oblivious to the fact “soul entities” are humans themselves. Their little heads would probably pop if they truly knew. So don’t tell them!
- Monsters are still made of dust in my AU, but they are more physical than their Undertale counterparts, only slightly…
- Both Humans and Monsters cannot do magic freely. They would need to go through extensive training to get…a Wizard license! :O
- It’s strange, but the Monsters seem more human than the actual humans in this world…huh…

I decided to go ahead and follow the residents of Ptolemaea link and I just.
My mind has been opened to Ethel Cain and I don't think I can ever go back. Thank you so much for showing me her work!
The Ninth Circle, Ptolomea - the deepest circle of hell, for those who betrayed friends or guests.
