#im ignoring mirage canon

AC Mirage spoilers & ramblings⬇️
Forever pissed that instead of making nehal like a reincarnation of Angrboda (or even sigyn i love the symbolism with her) they just made her a figment of basim’s imagination/a version of loki blah blah blah. Like come on they could have linked the whole “lost my wife and son thing” and nehal and their son dying could have been what woke Loki up and actually mirror basim and Loki’s storys. But noooo. Fuck. FUCK THIS.

i know i should look into the titanfall 2 lore to get an approximate guess on how the frontier war worked and how much it impacted mirage’s life and what ages it affected him, but also. lazy

Gale Reacts: Rocketear (no subs)
LIVE REACTION NO SUBS.
spoilers below
My Portuguese is shoddy (but being able to speak spanish helps)
Dinosaurs are real. I S*** YOU NOT. DINOSAURS ARE REAL. I already LOVE THIS EPISODE. ITS NOT CAUSE AN AKUMA. ITS JUST F***ING DINOSAURS! Which means Jurassic park is canon in ML.
-Im glad Chat noir got to help out Ladybug and Carapace
-So Bob roth wants them for a movie OF F***ING COURSE
-Nino is wondering why Alya/Rena Rouge wasnt there. Daww
-Rena explaining her new form is her suit compensating! I KNEW IT WASNT A POTION! SUCK IT EVERYONE WHO SAID I WAS WRONG
-NINO THOUGHT THEY WERE BREAKING UP BABY NO! She says the lie that she isnt rena rouge anymore. Which Nino was fine with. But she is lying.
-Alya wants to post on the ladyblog about her new power stuff BUT marinette says no. (Marinette being proud of alya for doing the right thing)
-Oh... Nino thinks Alya be hiding something else! OH THIS REMINDS ME OF MY ABUELA'S NOVELAS
-Marinette wingwomaning like a pro.
-so thats why they went to the movie.
-Nino still sus.
-OH NINO IS PISSED AT THE MOVIE! side note, Rena rouge looks SO WEIRD IN 2D
-Alya trying to explain its just movie crap.
-But Alya acting sus and Nino being the perfect gentleman but being ignored.
-Nino decides to get ice cream for them by Andre. Why do I feel like this will go wrong.
-OH GOSH NO! LADYBUG NOT NOW! DO NOT RUIN MY DJWIFI!
-And now Nino is more sus!
-Cheek kiss was cute tho
-DUDE! The universe really wants nino to think he is getting cucked by chat noir
-Nino is obsessing. But to be honest, with the amount of coincidences I REALLY cant blame him for being suspicious.
-"DUDE CHAT NOIR IS STEALING MY GIRL!"
-Adrien laughs and tells him to relax. Something about jagged stone being more likely to be trying for alya I think? It was hard to catch. Basically saying highly unlikely or Jagged stone... likes em young (shudders). I am going to assume the former.
-Okay so I think i figured it out before This even happens. Adrien to go talk to alya and assure that she ISNT crushing on him. Plagg did NOT help this situation.
-And nino is going to go investigate and see this misunderstanding!
-OMG he is acting like a NOIR DETECTIVE. NINO I F***ING LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
-Also that SAX THO!
- Nino is a master of disguise.
-OH NO! Nino arrived right there. That looks so bad!
-Chat noir talks WAY TO FAST to translate! But I think I get what he is saying
-Okay I got it! So Alya thought he was sus of her but really when she found out he thought she was into him she clears up the misunderstanding.
-But to Nino it looks SO BAD.
-But Alya assures him that is NOT the case. Which Chat noir is RELIEVED TO HEAR. The Alynoir is cute tho.
-BUT POOR NINO!
-Damn, I gotta give the VA props. Nino sounds Heartbroken. I actually feel a bit choked up
-...OMG HE IS BACK TO HIS HABIT OF BLOWING BUBBLES. DID...DID NINO NOT GO HOME?!
-NINO TURNED THE BOILER ROOM INTO A DETECTIVE OFFICE! I
CANT!
-Bubbles are like his cigerattes
-He shows the proof
-He had music playing! for the detective effect.
-Adrien explaining how there couldnt be anything between them. Them being alya and Chat noir. He is trying to convince his heartbroken friend.
-If I could understand the entire thing, I would say this is the best adrien nino exchange I have ever seen. Adrinino is strong
-NINO TOLD ADRIEN... THAT ALYA IS RENA ROUGE! OH SHIT.
-Which Nino explains is how Chat noir could have fallen for Rena Rouge
-Adrien is pissed cause he is wondering how Nino knows Rena Rouge is Alya
-And Adrien also finds out Nino is Carapace. Oh WOW! THIS ANGST POTENTIAL!
-And Adrien is trying to stay calm here but he is clearly shaken that Ladybug didnt tell him this. And Nino assumes Chat noir already knew. OH WOW!
-Oh is pissed, but using it as a way to say that Chat noir didnt know anything. Oh DOUBLE DAMN! I cant tell who is getting angrier.
-Nino said something that just SHOOK Adrien. Something about giving him the miraculous all the time.
-Okay so Adrien processed the stuff. That Carapace is Nino, Alya is Rena. But he asks how he knows that Chat noir would know that.
-So basically (if I am right) Nino thinks that after countless rejections from Ladybug, Chat noir decided to go for the next best heroine, Rena Rouge.
-Nino's acting this out is amazing
-Nino is heart broken. And wants to punch out chat noir
-HE CRIED TEARS FOR YOU GIRL!
-Well I will give Nino this. Gotta put it to bed. Nino CANT be Luka. Cause he actually gets upset when the woman he loves might be in love with another guy.
-SHADOWMOTH YOU LEAVE HIM ALONE YOU BASTARD!
-Adrien is trying to calm him down.
-oh no.... ADRIEN RUN!
-Nino accepts and ROCKETEAR IS HERE.
-PLAGG NOT NOW!
-Chat noir, NOT A SMART IDEA!
-Rocketear ready to rip open the cat's ass
-Alya explained what happened to marinette and the girl just shakes her head.
-ROCKETEAR CHUCKED A CAR AT CHAT NOIR!
-WEAPONIZED TEARS!
-Chat noir is trying to calm him down.
-Alya now feels like its her fault.
-THEY FOUND THE OFFICE
-ITS STILL PLAYING THE NOIR MUSIC! I F***ING CANT. And they found the phone
-Marinette ... looked a touch bit concerned. Or am i just wearing my clown nose.
-Alya explains but Marinette says its a problem.
-Lucky charm is a projecter.
-I dont understand the plan.
-Yo! Chat noir actually putting on a good fight despite NOT wanting to fight nino and trying to explain. Haven seen him fight this well since Gang of secrets, so nice change of pace.
-FOOL NO! DONT THROW THE BATON!
-CHAT NOIR YOU IDIOT!
-Okay that looked REALLY F***ING PAINFUL.
-Was... Was nino about to blow his head off?!
-OH I GET IT. The projection will show the rest of the evening with the help of rena's mirage! THAT IS GENIUS
-Okay thats cute.
-DAMN THAT ALYNINO IS TOPS
-Nino appologizing for that.
-Wiping his tears
-MY HEART IS SO FULL RIGHT NOW I CANT
-NINO BROKE FREE! MY BOY!!!!!
-I AM SO PROUD.
-Okay this is my favorite akuma of season 4.
-Shadowmoth being salty
-Nino gets a ladybug charm
-Nino appologizing
-Oh Chat noir almost let it slip that he knew about Carapace and Rena Rouge. But... didnt.
-Adrien is now salty, saying something about Ladybug not trusting him with that. But plagg points out he has no reason to be.
-But Adrien just feels it but seems to simmer down.
-Correction! she told Nino everything! Alya tells nino everything!
-Wow so only adrien is getting no trust. Damn

I NEED THE ENGLISH SUB SO I CAN FULLY APPRECIATE THE DETECTIVE NINO BITS!

god i dont know how this shit works still so im sending you the same question here, how would u do an azula redemption arc?
the thing about azula’s redemption is that realizing the error of her ways is only the first step; she needs to earn it. that said, she also needs to be shown empathy and tenderness, to be proven that people are capable of it, and capable of directing it towards her. azula’s arc must a) understand the weight of the harm she has caused b) make tangible amends where she can c) be good without expecting a reward d) realize that she doesn’t have to be perfect e) realize that she can be forgiven f) realize that she can be loved.
to answer this question, i am going to write a semi-thorough outline of how i would structure a post-canon spinoff series of atla. this is not a fourth season of atla, but a series that is supplementary to canon. i say this because the narrative structure of it would not work as a fourth season. i would structure azula’s redemption arc as vignettes sewn together, and somewhat eschew linear chronology. this isn’t to say i think this is the only narrative decision that works, but simply how i would choose to write it. and please keep in mind, this is merely an outline.
before i break down the “episodes,” i need to address the other existing continuations of atla.
legend of korra: actually this one is easy bc azula is never mentioned. next!
the comics: they do azula so dirty i refuse to read them as any sort of canon continuation of her arc whatsoever. the comics are also bad for a whole other slew of reasons. (this isn’t mentioning imbalance, which i enjoyed, but in which azula does not feature.)
measure each step to infinity: chell made me shout this out, and people have been imploring me to read the whole thing forever. i will not. i do not like it. disrespecting aang is an automatic red flag. next.
the series will be structured as “life-changing field trips.” first, is
SOKKA GAME: azula’s first introduction to hubris as downfall is when sokka casually offers to play her in pai sho. they agree to best of three; azula wins the first round easily, loses the second round easily, and loses the third round with slightly more difficulty but still in embarrassingly record speeds. having never lost a game of pai sho in her life, she is distraught. over the course of the game, they discuss war, imperialism, and sovereignty. one conversation isn’t enough to change her mind on all she was brought up believing, of course, but it plants some seeds. she decides she never wants to play sokka in pai sho again. but a year later, he offers again, and she is determined to prove herself. she loses, but it’s a closer match. that, in itself, is a small victory.
TOPH HIKE: a series of moments once a week spanning years. the one constant in azula’s life becomes toph, who is very reliable indeed. she is not scared of azula and never was, and she is empathetic enough to reach out. she takes her on hikes, same time every week, without fail. at first, azula is apprehensive that toph is planning to kill her. then she believes it to be some sort of test, a sick game. they walk in silence, though occasionally azula will say something snarky, which toph has learned to ignore. eventually, azula begins to talk. and toph listens, and commiserates, and pushes her in the right direction vis a vis getting her shit together. toph is the best therapist.
AANG ADVENTURE: remember that time azula murdered aang? yeah, so do they. it’s all they can think about now, trapped in the swamp together. aang asserts that it shouldn’t be difficult to get out if they just walk straight ahead, eventually the path will clear. but somehow, it doesn’t. azula’s emotional turbulence is making way for mirages galore. she runs into ursa (of course), ozai, zuko, ty lee, mai, suki, katara, azulon, sozin, iroh. aang sees gyatso, he sees his friends, his people. and azula sees them too. the entire nation her great-grandfather wiped out, and the sole remnant of it she nearly killed. looking at this boy in front of her, who is so powerful, and yet trying so hard to be gracious to her despite having every reason to hate her, and realizing that he shoulders enormous burdens she doesn’t actually know anything about, she breaks down in tears. aang helps her calm down. eventually, they decide they’re gonna find their way out this swamp. they run into toph, who says, “i thought i might find you losers here,” and gracefully shows them the way out.
AZULA ALONE: finally, after a good couple years of waiting for the opportunity, azula manages to make her escape. she is so fucking sick of being under zuko’s watch, under zuko’s authority, and all she wants is to leave. her hikes with toph are, she will admit, a pleasant breath of fresh air, but it’s not remotely close to freedom. she hitchhikes all the way to an ex-colony in the middle of a river, where she doubts she will ever be found. she knows she can’t stay forever, but she is tired of running, so she decides to stay for at least a couple of days. it is here that she meets dock (or is it xu?) who tells her about the waterbender who saved their village. well, azula only knows one waterbender: sokka’s sister, whatsherface. (she hasn’t actually seen katara since the comet, which is more than fine with her!!!!) then, they tell her about how the new firelord freed them from fire nation occupation, and how their economy is functional and their quality of life has drastically improved. azula scoffs at the adulation with which they speak of katara and zuko, as if they are heroes. that night, she realizes that she does not have enough money for food (she pickpocketed a guy she hitched a ride from earlier, but she had to spend it all on the ferry across the river). a little boy overhears her, and before she can protest, drags her by the hand to his house, where his family welcome her and offer her their food. she’s uncomfortable; there is so little of it as it is, but they insist that they have plenty. she watches them casually, lovingly interact over a meager meal, and she is still unable to place that pit of longing in her heart. the next day, she is greeted by none other than suki, who merely rolls her eyes and says, “come on, you don’t really want to stay here, do you?” and azula sighs and says, “no... i suppose not.”
SUKI FAVOR: long timeskip. (but also crucial that the previous episode ended on suki so that her character is fresh in the minds of the audience.) the kyoshi warriors were the only people zuko trusted to guard azula at first. we see this in the earlier episodes when they are guarding azula, but we do not see them reacting to her. eventually, the kyoshi warriors go back to kyoshi island, and while zuko still keeps azula at arm’s length, he also knows that she isn’t a danger to herself or others. azula hasn’t seen suki in a while when she returns to the palace. now that suki is there for another purpose, not as her prisoner, and not as her prisoner, azula sees her humanity, and is overcome with guilt at the memory of what she did. she is determined to prove to suki that she deserves her forgiveness. she does a series of favors for suki which do nothing to earn suki’s favor, and eventually suki says “im not going to help you ease your conscience. are you penitent, or do you just want to be absolved?” and it is then that azula realizes that she is penitent. and she proves it.
KATARA SHOWDOWN: one morning, azula awakes to the realization that she cannot bend. she freaks out, naturally, and demands to know if the avatar is behind this. aang assures that he is not. she can still produce a low, simmering flame, which means she hasn’t lost her fire entirely; it’s just… gone out. this time, when she leaves, it is because zuko has deemed her ready (he trusts toph and sokka’s opinions on the matter, and they sort of actually like her). this time, she makes it all the way to the south pole. she sees a lot on the journey there. she has never been this far south, and it dawns on her just how much of the world she hasn’t seen. just how young she was, still is. she gets trapped in a blizzard, and would freeze to death (fireless) if it weren’t for a man finding her out in the cold and bringing her back into town. there, she wakes up to katara’s furious face as she demands to know what azula is doing here. azula tells her the truth, and katara scoffs. there’s no way she’s supposed to believe that, what? azula is just...on holiday? they get each other so riled up that they end up fistfighting in the snow in the middle of town, and it is only when azula does not defend herself against katara’s waterbending that katara falters. maybe she really has changed.
IROH APOLOGY: the fact that no one in ba sing se recognizes azula as she enters their walls does not surprise her; they were always a particularly incompetent bunch. she finds the jasmine dragon easily, as everyone claims it is the best tea shop in the city. “wow,” azula says dryly, “the whole city????” iroh is somewhat stunned to see her. zuko had told him about her, of course, but it’s different when you haven’t seen your niece in person since she had you thrown in prison. which, yes, is how long it’s been. she orders a ginseng, and never takes her eyes off him as he prepares it. if her intention is to unnerve him (which it certainly is) it’s working. she drinks it so properly she does not look human, and she talks to him only in niceties. he responds just as politely. he asks her about her travels, and she tells him. he seems surprised that she is willing to admit that she was wrong in the past, willing to admit the error of their once-shared imperialist agenda. “why not?” azula asks. what differentiates them, other than the fact that she successfully took ba sing se where he could not? is it the fact that he was significantly older when he became enlightened? is it the fact that he had always discarded her, deemed her irreparably broken? he says “no, of course not,” and she says, “don’t bullshit me, uncle.” they are taking a walk through the city, that still stands despite their legacies, when they apologize. they both owe apologies, and are owed apologies. and they accept it.
ZUKO PROOF: it takes a really long time for zuko to fully forgive azula, and when he does, there is still a big part of azula that doesn’t even understand why. (she chalks it up to naïveté.) it takes a much longer time for zuko to truly trust her. this episode is a series of moments in which azula proves herself worthy of that trust. it takes a lot, because zuko thinks it’s all part of a long game, where she’s trying to earn his trust to eventually betray him. above all, she has to prove she has no interest in the throne. she has to prove that her vulnerability isn’t an act, and that she’s not lying, and that she wants to zuko’s trust so desperately that she will prove it. zuko tells her to pack a bag. she asks where it is that he intends on taking her. “to get your firebending back,” he says. it is only when the dragons deem her worthy that zuko’s final doubts can be allayed. azula cries when she realizes what firebending can be, that firebending can feel good, like love instead of approval. her flames are never blue again.
additional notes:
azula does not confront ursa, mai, or ty lee. not for a long time, at least. some wounds never heal, and you just have to learn to live with it, to live without it. we see, in hints elsewhere, that mai and ty lee are okay.
azula does not have some earth-shattering realization that ozai was a bad father/leader either. it is far more gradual than that.
azula does not deserve suki or aang’s forgiveness, but she gets it anyway.
she does befriend toph and sokka, who manage to forgive her once zuko does, and they both think she’s a riot, but she and katara maintain a relationship of mutual hostility/grudging respect for the rest of their lives.
it is crucial that azula shedding her nationalism is emphasized throughout her arc. she needs to realize that everything she grew up believing, about power, fear, superiority, the divine right to rule, etc. is all bullshit. she needs to learn to value globalism and kindness.
this is a rough sketch of the timeline:

Crypto | Park Tae Joon/Pathfinder; unrequited crushes; canon compliant; apex rarepair week; 1791 words
a/n: honestly writing so much makes me feel like i’ve been posessed by the ghost of productivity. and at this point im not even gonna complain. day 4 of rarepair week!
cryptfinder was like... my original crypto ship, all the way back in season 3. idk why it got me so bad.. it just makes me really soft, i love the “someone will die” “of fun!” dynamic they have, and how crypto is like soft for only one (1) person and thats his robot. its cute
day 4 of @apex-rarepairweek, jealousy, is right here! enjoy!

Preview: Elliott was insecure, yes - he was the kind of man to trip over his own tongue and his whole thought would come crashing down with him - but he was intelligent, an efficient engineer and people person, an excellent businessman who knew what made people tick. He wasn’t a bad looking man either. He had a nice smile, the kind that lit up his whole face when it was genuine, the kind that made his eyes smile with him. And when he wasn’t wearing that god awful jumpsuit, he was almost attractive, well built and taken care of, putting a lot of effort into making Mirage as real as possible, though he was about as real as a gaudy, faux gold rip-off. But as Crypto watched the bar, where he was working pouring drinks, frantically guiding the much taller, clumsier robot, his eyes were not on Elliott.
With his coat pulled up to hide his face, and knuckles shaking from the grip on his glass, Crypto couldn’t tear his eyes away from the bar just in eyesight from his little corner seat even if he tried. They were supposed to be out here celebrating at the Paradise Lounge, with somewhat professional businessman Elliott kind enough to offer the champion squad free drinks (begrudgingly, to even him, which Crypto was incredibly smug about at the time, but almost thankful for now) after a great game that day. And sure, it was fantastic; a last-minute scan from Hack let them get the drop on the final squad, an EMP blast slowing them down just enough to catch them in the field of Anita’s Rolling Thunder barrage, while Pathfinder led the final assault and gunned the final guy down in his usual unnervingly cheerful way. He should have been happy about another win under his belt - it was enough to get people to stop asking questions about his skill, and sudden appearance in the games. But he wasn’t. He just kept staring at the bar.
Elliott wasn’t an idiot. He knew that, despite his own insistence. No, Mirage was an idiot, but Mirage also didn’t have anything to hide. Mirage was a one-note, total bumbling fool, who Crypto was sure would short-circuit if he thought about anyone but himself. But Elliott was not that. Elliott was insecure, yes - he was the kind of man to trip over his own tongue and his whole thought would come crashing down with him - but he was intelligent, an efficient engineer and people person, an excellent businessman who knew what made people tick.
Now Pathfinder was an interesting case. A MRVN unit with slightly more awareness than the average one, though that was often misplaced. He was a lost soul, somehow finding his home in murder, where he made fast friends and fans alike, though that was never what he wanted. Still, he didn’t seem to mind, his demeanour never changing - he had that shrill ‘Hi, friends!’ drilled into the back of his head by now… but at least that was a hole to get all the fog out, when his own head was the worst place to be. He was almost thankful for it, in fact. He thought back to the game that day, the way Pathfinder looked over to him, the screen on his chest lit up with a warm, celebratory yellow, as he gave an excited wave, before his attention turned to Anita for a fistbump. He soon turned back, and offered Crypto the same, metallic fist… which he took, and returned the gesture, almost laughing at the way the robot seemed to rock back and forth in excitement. It was… cute, almost warm, not like his cold exterior… not like Crypto. Pathfinder was warm. Pathfinder was cute.
And Pathfinder was over there, sharing his warmth with everyone else.
Over the thumping bass of the music too loud to distinguish, he was almost sure he heard a gentle crack of glass, and even though he knew that he would never be strong enough to shatter it with one hand he still flinched with a start, checking his hand for any loose liquor that had spilt, before rubbing it against his coat. So maybe he was just a little jealous. Slightly. But was it because of the attention that the robot was receiving tonight, or was it because he could live so free, not bound by the bars of paranoia? It was absolutely insufferable. The hacker slowly held onto his glass again, taking a final drink and knocking his head back before placing it down quite harshly, enough to get a few heads to turn, before he shuffled out of the booth and stood to his feet, beginning to head towards the door.
“Hey, hey, Crypto, where you goin’?” From the bar, Elliott looked up, taking his eyes off of Pathfinder for the briefest of moments.
“Home. Thanks for the free drink, Witt.”
“At least stay for another one, c’mon. I’m teaching this bag of bolts how to- wait, Path, no! Ah, dammit- not on my pants, you stupid-”
“Sorry, friend, these glasses are so small in my hands it’s hard to see when it ends.” The robot placed the whiskey glass down on the bar, excess spilling onto the counter as Elliott tried to clean the rest of the alcohol off of his leg with the towel over his shoulder.
“It’s- OK, then don’t hold it, it’s fine.”
“But you-”
“I have tiny human hands! I can do that! You’re… clumsy, and that’s… it's fine.” He gently patted Pathfinder’s small face with a hand, before turning his attention back to Crypto, unable to see the way his fists were clenched in the pocket of his coat. “One more. On me? C’mon, new guy.”
He gritted his teeth. The bar was loud, too many people were here as it was, he had already pushed the limits of what he wanted from tonight. Crypto opened his mouth to say no again, but he caught Pathfinder’s eye, staring at him from just behind Elliott, glowing in his warmth and kindness. The hacker closed his eyes, and sighed, pulling up a stool and sitting down at the counter, ignoring the bartender’s successful fist pump only to himself. This wasn’t for his benefit, anyway.
After watching the trickster fumble a little more to try and help Pathfinder a little more, only resulting in more drinks spilling on himself and the floor, he was slid a hastily made glass of whiskey, before Elliott excused himself to go clean up in the bathroom - “keep the bar warm but don’t serve anyone, got it, Path?” he’d specifically instructed, to which Pathfinder seemed to ignore as he turned his attention to a couple of patrons trying to haggle drinks for free through flattery. It worked, bless his heart, as he managed to keep the pint glass steady under the nozzle, handing it to the woman who shot a flirty remark that flew right over his head.
He laughed from over his glass, taking a small drink, gagging at the aftertaste but doing his best to cover it by coughing and covering his hand with the side of a clenched fist, just as Pathfinder returned.
“Elliott knows so many great friends, I really like working here!”
“Ya, you… seem to fit right in.”
“Do you really think so?” He seemed to genuinely appreciate the comment, perking up a little bit. “Do you think I’d look nice in a bow tie and suit? Elliott has an image to maintain, after all - I wouldn’t want to ruin it for my very best friend.”
An image of tackiness and gaud, Crypto wanted to say, but he bit his tongue. “Do you even know how to tie one?”
“No!” The confirmation was said with such cheer that it almost made him smile a little. “Why, do you?”
He blinked. “...Ya.”
“Can you show me?” If the robot was anymore animated, he would have twinkles in his optic from his excitement.
Crypto looked away, practically burying his face into his coat. “I… maybe.”
“Promise?”
“...Mhm.”
Pathfinder was practically glowing again with excitement, clapping his hands together, enough for Crypto to glance back over and bask in the warmth for a moment.
His shoulders lost their tension, he physically relaxed, and as the robot rambled on, divulging way too much about himself and his goals, he found himself… interested, and intrigued, offering insight as a man who was looking for someone just as hard, hardly noticing as one by one people filtered out, the other Legends heading home until it was just the two of them, and Elliott, closing up the bar.
“You two good to get home?” He asked, twirling the keys to the Paradise lounge around his finger.
Crypto nodded, flinching a little as Pathfinder slapped a hand down on his shoulder.
“Crypto promised to share a taxi with me! I’m so excited!”
The trickster raised an eyebrow, a small smirk forming on his lips. “Oh yeah? Check you out, kid. Making friends. Wasn’t so hard to get that stick out of your ass, huh?”
“Ip dakchyeo.”
“Yeah, you too, buddy.”
The hacker zipped up his coat again and looked away, shoving his hands in his pockets and continued to wait at the door, for Elliott to usher the two of them out, and lock up, heading to his car and leaving the two of them, alone, in the glow of the streetlight and Pathfinder’s presence, as he quietly bounced in place.
“Are you not cold?” The robot asked, looking down.”
“Ah, I’m fine.”
“Are you sure?”
“Mhm.”
Pathfinder blinked, before nodding to himself, taking off the warm scarf around his neck and tying it around Crypto’s, making the hacker flinch again.
“Wait, I said-”
“It’s OK, I don’t really need it.” He gently tied it, expertly creating a small bow from the side, where it practically drowned Crypto’s face. “It looks nice on you, friend!”
He swallowed, looking down at his feet, and mumbling a thank you, enough to satisfy the other legend to take his attention away. Once he did that, Crypto dared to bring up his hand, running his fingertips across the softest tartan he had felt in a long time, and the light smell of motor oil that lingered to the fabric.
The taxi soon arrived, and the two of them got in, Crypto silently cursing Elliott to himself for not offering them a ride. It certainly would have made things a little less awkward. Did he know too much? The look he gave him certainly seemed like a catch on. He wasn’t here to make friends. He knew he wasn’t. But the draw of some people, or robots, was almost too much for him to bear, it seemed, as Pathfinder talked his ear off for the entire journey, voice more like music than white noise as Crypto stared out of the window, assessing his thoughts in the night, the evening he realised that maybe, just maybe, he liked Pathfinder.

003 Servalan
OHH thank you this is a bit long I went on rambling a bit.
003 | Give me a character & I will tell you:
How I feel about this character:
ok ok ok, I need to confess that she is absolutely my guilty pleasure dom in my head. Also for her look, she looks like somewhere between Kate Bush, Maria Callas, and Marina Sirtis (I think it is bc JP does not look like English, a bit Greek)
Character-wise, there is no doubt she is the most well-written female character in the series, I love the fact she has a butchy haircut before it was a thing in the 1980s, but she dressed so flamboyant and femme, yet she does not talk like any other female characters at the time. This is a phenomenon.
Tho I do have complaints, I’ll say it below.
All the people I ship romantically with this character:
Not really anyone, tbh. I can’t think of anyone she would be in a relationship romantically in the longer-term.
My non-romantic OTP for this character:
Travis. Not Avon, I may have guilty pleasure from reading their fics but it is always not the end game thing, especially like that Mirage fic.
My unpopular opinion about this character:
I do not think she is that infallible. I think she made many faults, as much as I admire her, she is through and through a political opportunist, half of the things she did couldn’t be done without her staff’s help but of course bc she is a politician, which means she won’t have to lift her fingers. She is very smart indeed, and kind of good at making military decisions, but as my opinion on any historical figure, she just showed up the right time and became what earth represented, and she maintained her image as “big sister”. Other people like her exist, that is the way of politics, just not vastly presented on the show.
I do not think she really knows Avon. As I mentioned before in my blog, I do not think Avon was even tempted by her offer, he is a practical person, but turned on by the thrill of danger, he kissed her out of a desire to test the edge, but he said very clearly that “I would be dead within a week”. Bc what I envisioned (my personal subjective opinion anyway) Avon is a man rather likes being left alone than getting involved with politics and people.
I do not think her character after S3 is well treated, may be very interesting in Rumours of Death but in whole S4 she is not 1/2 as good as she was in episodes like: Seek-Locate-Destroy, or Star One, or Pressure Point, or Trial and etc. But this is probably not an unpopular opinion.
One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon:
More “big sister” thing, please. And I want to see the details of the coup that of her downfall, I think she slowly came to a downfall after Rumours of Death, by the end of S3 people do not call her “president” anymore, I really wonder that. Also her academy years, maybe something like what Bryn Lantry wrote in her “Fall of Central”.
My OTP:
Servalan/her wardrobe
My OT3:
Servalan/her dungeon/Avon
no just ignore this above im kidding

romance headcanons
name:          park tae-joon (alias: kim hyeon)
nickname:          “Joon” !! Though generally the only people to ever call him that were Mila and Mystik.  And “TJ,” maybe, I can see that one being thrown around a bit.
gender:           male.
romantic orientation:          he generally avoids relationships and is not extremely interested in others sexually or romantically, but it all comes down to the circumstances and particularly to how he connects with someone. He doesn’t care about the specifics of sex or gender — I do personally tend to lean towards writing gay relationships, but that’s a me thing, and I want to emphasise that it doesn’t really matter to Crypto. I’m generally willing to try what he is willing to!
preferred pet names:           hasn’t had any to speak of.
relationship status:           single, but might fuck around, might settle down and find happiness in a committed relationship with mirage apex legends, haha just kidding....... unless????
favorite canon/fandom ship:         God I have a few... I know that Cryptage (Crypto and Mirage) is a really big thing for the fandom (fic author once called it a “rarepair” and i was like huh??? are you kidding fam), and I personally love exploring their dynamic with vanishout. They have a rough start, but there’s no other person Crypto loves more... im emotional over Them, and Crypto is honestly so smitten. Their ship make me happy
I am also a big fan of Crypto and Octane! Something I’m messing around with whilst writing with deathchasing. They’ve got a lot of potential to go places, where exactly I’m still unsure, but guess we’ll sort that out later. :)
I am generally interested in shipping anyone with Crypto if there’s enough chemistry or an interesting enough dynamic. The only other characters I have on the brain though that I want to ship Crypto with are Bloodhound, Caustic, and Gibraltar. As of now though, I haven’t really properly discussed a ship with anyone else but Julie and Kabu.
favorite crossover ship:           I don’t really have any! I can’t really think on the spot of one, either. I haven’t really taken Crypto out of his default Apex verse yet, but I’m willing to try.
opinion on true love:         It exists, that much he knows. Love is what carried Tae-joon through life even as an orphan on the streets with nothing to his name. It’s what helped him survive, because he worked and fought tooth and nail every single day for the people he loved. Mila, and later on Mystik, proved without a doubt to him that platonic love exists and is one of the most powerful forces he could know. Without them, I’m not sure where he’d have ended up. He believes in love, perhaps with more conviction than most things.
BUT as for romantic love... sure, he’s absolutely sure it exists. But he’s convinced it’s just not something he can have. Like... Tae-joon’s been through shit, earnt the life he had before the Games with his own blood, sweat, and tears. He knows full well that he has worth, that he is deserving — but the way the Syndicate directly and indirectly stripped him of everything that he loves and cares about really hit him hard. It’s tough for him to reach out and connect with people, and even tougher to allow himself to love again after he’s been taught time and time again that he will lose everything he has valued so dearly, worked so hard for.
And he’s afraid for the people that might be in a relationship with him; loving Crypto doesn’t just make him vulnerable, he puts anyone who cares about him in direct danger as well. In that sense, he doesn’t think he deserves love. Even if he found it with someone who’s willing to care about him, the guilt of making them a target for the Syndicate... bad. It’ll take a hell of an exceptional partner (willing to put themselves in danger and to convince him that they’re okay with this) for Tae-joon to reach a point where he believes he is allowed to have love, and that he deserves it.
opinion on love at first sight:         "amused at first sight” more like when it came to Mirage. I don’t think he’s really met anyone he instantly feel in love with on sight though, not as Park Tae-joon and certainly not as Crypto... it’s not hard to feed into the craving for human affection and for someone who really cares when he does slowly edge closer to someone. Like, when he actually allows them to be near him and lets them start forging some bond of trust. Honestly, love is never the first thing on his mind when he meets people, not even when he was living a civilian life as Tae-joon; there were always more important things to focus on.
how ‘romantic’ are they?:           Even before the Games, he didn’t really have a great way of going about expressing emotions and communicating how he feels, let alone when it comes to unfamiliar notions of romance. He’s not entirely emotionally stunted, but he has a way of hyperfocusing on work, on taking comfort in things mechanical more than human, and rarely lets people interrupt him when he’s on a roll. He’s fairly aloof, but once he loses his previous life and identity, he comes to a realisation that he took human affection and contact for granted. Unfortunately he has no choice but to live without it after that; I think getting into a relationship, he’d be massively awkward about it to start with, but would quickly warm up and learn to be affectionate. He wouldn’t go out of his way to be, but he definitely would know the importance of even the simplest of gestures. He’d make it a point to show he cares, because he knows it’s not always obvious to someone that they’re loved — even fi it may seem obvious to others. At heart, Tae-joon’s a very soft and very caring person and does try to show it where he can.
ideal physical traits:           Doesn’t matter to him. If he starts to love someone, he WILL find attraction in someone inevitably whether they are conventionally attractive or not.
ideal personality traits:         he is... weak for soft and kind people. also loves someone who can match him in terms of intelligence and ability, someone who is good with banter. a good sense of competition. people with drive and ambition. there’s probably a tonne more, but it’s just not coming to mind right now.
unattractive physical traits:           Tae-joon grew up on the streets as a child, parentless and homeless. He saw it all. It wasn’t hard for him to learn that there’s far more admiration and beauty to found in other things than in the physical appearance.
One point I do want to cover though: He thinks the physical result of his own augmentations and implants are unattractive. They’re a huge part of his survival and certainly technological marvels (designed all by himself, though he found outside help to have them implanted). But having to virtually gut and replace so much of himself really dealt a blow to his whole concept of his humanity and physicality. He has trouble seeing himself as a person sometimes, much less an attractive one with the enhancements he’s gone through.
unattractive personality traits:         stupidity. ignorance. unwillingness to learn. taking things for granted, wasting life away. selfishness and lack of empathy / sympathy for others. betraying the loyalty and the trust of the people who love you. complete lack of morals or ethics. acting like you’re something you’re not. people who view themselves above others (even though.. he often does... hahaha)
ideal date:           He doesn’t really have any standard of one, not really having been on one before (though can bet that Mila has tried to hook him up multiple times with a blind date or something, they always fell through or Tae-joon just didn’t want to).
do they have a type?:        not entirely, I do like to joke around that he’s into himbos though. One himbo specifically, but overall there’s not any real pattern... I guess he would like soft people capable of showing kindness, who are the exact opposite of him in the sense that they still see beauty and value in the world for all the cruel wreck that it is. People who are willing to be kind without expecting kindness back, who is... willing to show crypto that sort of kindness and teach it to him again 😳😳 people who allow him to be vulnerable and understand the place he’s coming from...
average relationship length:         So we’re making up pure lies and saying that he’s had actual past relationships? Fuckin wig... but I think he would enjoy moderate to long-term relationships when he does actually get into them. Obviously, he’s not going to start something with ease (commitment is a bitch when you’re in his situation), but he’s not going to start a relationship with the intention of dumping the other person early on.
preferred non-sexual intimacy:      i’m thinking he probably values non-sexual intimacy a lot more than sexual actually, especially since i’m exploring current ships where sexual intimacy is involved but human affection and connection isn’t... which, in turn, just makes tae-joon feel a hell of a lot more emotionally disconnected and lonely. He really values the comfort of just being close to someone, around them in close proximity without worry. Being there with them, listening to them speak and paying them attention even if he’s not the most vocal or performative person... there’s a very real comfort in that. Just leaning against someone, I think, sharing contact that isn’t even necessarily romantic. He just wants to feel, and be felt — that simple human connection is Wildly important for him.
commitment level:           Really fucking incredible. Like really fucking incredible if you get him to care enough, help him to open up and allow himself to care.
opinion of public affection:        It flusters him (though I think he could learn to like at least a little bit of it. Having someone he loves and can show off in a subtle sort of way), and he probably doesn’t ever allow it anyway on account of not wanting anyone with their eye on him to pick out vulnerabilities. He’s very careful about keeping any relationships during the Games highly secret — no point in putting someone he cares about in harm’s way, and honestly I don’t think he could stand losing another person after he puts in all the effort to learn to trust and to love again. Affectionate gestures in private though, as said, is all good with him.
past relationships?:           once he talked to a girl on an online mmorpg and they traded items and he thinks he got the better end of the trade so that was pretty epic. But no, he hasn’t had any.

Think of it more as a fusion she was more rows that she was anything rose did exist even though she was a Mirage but she had a mindset of her own in a when she kind of fuse that the personality of rows while rosen's physical form a mind state existed pinkie herself up but not completely she still lived on in the gem
but it doesn’t matter, Rose is simply a label and disguise. She doesn’t count as a full alter ego. And Pink Diamond as a tyrannical ruler doesn’t count as an alter ego of Rose, since that wasn’t really her character at all (from what we’ve seen anyways). It’s all Pink Diamond, one person. No good guy bad guy scenario. It’s clever writing for the show. But I love me some classic good guy/bad guy ^^
shipping them with the canon in mind, it just becomes an arbitrary aesthetic thing with nothing interesting going on in terms of character personality dynamics, since they’re just the same person. It’s like shipping Superman & Clark Kent or something lol.
shipping them within a hypothetical “NoTwist” au, now they’re two different people with their own identities who are diametrically opposed, perfect foils to one another, yet hopelessly attracted to each other. That’s so much more fun imo! *shrugs*
so yeah, im just selfishly complaining, ignore me and be happy! this is definitely not a big deal to anyone but my weirdass. I’m not demanding the story change or anything, I’m just selfishly disappointed lol.

The Reason
Pairing: CastielxReader
Word Count: 1421
Warnings: Castiel is an asshole and Canon violence
A/n: this is my (extremely) late entry @greenappleeyes mix and match challenge. (sorry!)
Prompt: The reason by Hoobstabank and “ for some reason im attracted to you”
“For some reason I’m attracted to you.” a bloodied Castiel gasped out as he staggered towards you.
He and the boys had left you chained in the basement of the bunker. They claimed it was because you had been friendly with whomever  they were hunting. The only people you could even think of would be Crowley and Lucifer, who to your knowledge, were both allies.
“What happened Darling?” You tilted your head to the side, desperately yearning to reach out to the injured angle. Your arms twitched uselessly against your bonds.
“The person we were hunting turned me human.” He stumbled a step further and fell on his ass.
You looked down at his perpetually confused puppy eyes, near begging him to let you go. You strained your muscles trying to break the reinforced rope Dean had used to tie you down. Honestly tying you to a chair as if you were a prisoner was overkill, but apparently it was Cass’ idea.
“Cass, Darling, Let me out I’ll help you.”
He shook his head slowly, indicating no, as he sat in an ever expanding pool of blood.
“I’m not a per-” he stopped and started coughing, those deep chest rattling ones. Blood stained saliva dribbled from his lips as he smiled at you. Your eyes teared up at seeing him like this.
“I’m not a perfect person Y/N.  There's a lot of things I wished I didn’t do, but I’m still learning..” He trailed off as his eyes slowly closed and opened.
“CASS!?” you nearly screeched beginning to desperately try to escape.
The ropes scraping against your skin, blood slowly soaking into it. The chair was wobbling dangerously. Nearly  tipping over several times.
“Cass, love? Please answer me, I’ll make your favorite dish again I don’t care if I have to go to that expensive store!” Tears were streaming down your face.
His smiling face kept appearing in your mind's eye. His face so full of life and wonder. The chair tipped over and you landed on your nose effectively breaking it.
You ignored the slowly seeping blood, in favor of wiggling the chair closer to him. The memory of him trying to guess your favorite color when he was last human popped into your mind. He hadn’t stayed incontact with people that time, but he always made sure to stop and see you.
He had looked so happy as he shouted out blue that you smiled and asked how he knew. You hadn't seen him smile that brightly many times, and ever since you saw blue in everything. You managed to tip the chair onto its side, you winced as you felt your arm crack as the chair harshly fell onto it.
“Cass come on Love, Open those eyes.” His chest didn't move and his eyes stayed close.
Your face was covered in blood and tears, his body unmoving and bloody.
“Cass?” You whimpered out, frozen in place.
You lost track of how long you stared at him, letting the tears and blood soak your face as you whimpered out his name and your heart shattered.  Suddenly you heard footsteps, normally you’d be able to place them but you mind was in shambles.
“So that's where he went to?” Dean muttered
“Guess so, time to burn him?” Sam said in response.
The cold tone they held was enough to shock you into moving again.
“HOW ARE YOU SO CALM DAMMIT?!” You tried to look threatening but the snot and tears probably undermined that.
They gave you a dismissive look before grabbing Cass and carrying him off.
“WHO THE HELL WERE YOU HUNTING! COME BACK HERE YOU BASTARDS AND LET ME GO.”
Gone was the shock you had felt, the sadness lingered, but at the moment you wanted to find who had killed the love of your life. You wanted to shred them into ribbons. Then you wanted to go after the Winchesters, who so coldly carried him away and let him get hurt.
Your shoulders shook in suppressed rage, your face contorting into a snarl.
“Don’t worry love, I'll find whoever did this to you.” You avowed
For now you were stuck, hopefully they would come and let you go soon. Hearing footsteps you grew hopeful that they'd do just that.
Instead when you looked up at who had entered Cass stood there. Surely he wasn't really there? You had just seen him die, so who the hell was impersonating him?
“I must say I didn't expect you to take my ‘death’ so hard.” The imposter Cass said.
“You can't be the real Castiel, he would never fake his death like that.” You snarled out, fingers slipping against the rope uselessly trying to break it surreptitiously.
He blinked as if surprised. His face a perfect mirror of Cass’ confused face.
“I can assure you I am Castiel, do I need Dean and Sam to confirm?”
“Yes, plus prove you're not a shapeshifter.” Whether or not he got them it would buy you at least a couple seconds. He walked out to get them and you managed to find a loose nail.
You would've preferred something sharper but you'd work with this.
He walked back in with the boys in tow.
“Am I the real Castiel?”
“Of course man, what you think we’d really have no reaction to your death?” Dean joked
“Yup, now can I go back to the research?” Sam said distractedly.
He was waved off as Dean looked at you as if you'd lost it.
In a way you had, your trust in them was gone, the nail was near useless, and you had no clue if ‘Cass’ was really Cass.
“Let me out of the ropes, and prove your not a shifter.”
Dean pulled out a knife and causally approached you.
“Toss it here.” You snarled out.
He raised his hands in surrender and slid it towards you, eyes reflecting a bit of hurt.
You managed to grab the knife and quickly cut your bonds. One arm was most definitely broken and your nose was still lazily bleeding.
“Shifter test. Now.” The demand was quickly followed.
“Now do you believe I am Castiel?” He irritably muttered. Dean grunting in agreement before taking his leave. Casting a glance back at his knife in your hand.
“No, I don't believe you're my Cass. Because whatever the fuck that was that just happened was way out of line.” Your hand shook, you believed him but you really didn't want to.
“How was it out of line? I wanted to make sure you cared about me.”
Your mind flashed back to the arguments you had. They always revolved around things that were impossible for you to do. Most of those arguments were possibly because he just didn’t understand the limitations you had, or at least you thought so. Had those arguments just been ‘test’ of his?
“I THOUGHT YOU DIED! And if, and it's a big if, you are my Castiel you should know why that was wrong.”
His head tilted to the side and you felt your heart flutter  at the familiar action. Honestly if  this was the real Castiel you’d never forgive him.
“I can assure you I am the Castiel you are dating, i just see no problem with this test.”
Your eyes teared up again, in your heart you knew that this was Cass.
“It’s so wrong Cass, I can’t believe you’d violate my trust like that! Did you even care how that would make me feel?” You wanted to yell that, but truthfully it was more like a harsh whisper.
“I don’t see why it matters, I wouldn't act like that if you died. I don’t see how this was supposed to be any different.”
That hurt, the time you’d been Crowley's personal torture pet hadn’t even hurt as much as those words. Hell even the cage wouldn't be as soul crushing as hearing that.
“Do you even care about my feelings or hell do you care about me?”
He shrugged his shoulders indifferently.
“Honestly Y/N I’m an angel. We don’t feel human emotions, if i was human I would say I was attracted to you. I even believe Dean would say that those feelings would mean I wanted to do a bit of the old in and out? At least thats what he told me…” He trailed off
You dropped the knife shocked. Then you stormed past him without a word.
