what if all the mxtx series happened in the same world? id think the timeline would work like this:

1. tgcf starts. and by starts i mean starts at the beginning in xianle. everything pre 800 year timeskip happens, then in the next 800 years,

2. MDZS happens. a good 300-400 years post-fall of xianle, sects are centered around clans. the MDZS babygirls do their thing and while wangxian are out there living their post-canon domestic bliss life, the ideals of xiao xingchen and song lan catch on - specifically with the ones who lost faith in the system of clan-based sects (ones like mianmian). new sects, ones based on merit and not bloodlines, emerge and overtake the traditional sects in popularity (the traditional sects either merge with the new sects or fade away over the years. except for the jin, somehow they stay there and eventually form the huan hua palace sect, ugh.)

3. 800 years pass and xie lian ascends once more! the events of tgcf take place and hualian live their immortal lives in domestic bliss. but oh no, messing with the heavens does something to create a fracture in the world, revealing a second world of demonic beings that use not resentful or spiritual energy, but demonic energy. the two worlds merge. to combat this, the gods of tgcf patron different sects and pass down some of their teachings. more cultivators are able to reach immortality, which leads to

Ok, last one for the Inuyasha AU for Lucemond.

Im putting this one here before I betray my own, “just lineart” even further, lol. Every time I tell myself just do the lineart, dont color, that takes more time... I just end up doing a tiny bit of it, or go crazy and color the whole thing, so gotta stop myself before its to late xD. Normally half demons (hanyo) have special characteristics that make it pretty obvious they’re not human, this being animalistic ears, horns and stuff like that. And pure demons (Yokai) have face markings and sometimes some really nice eyeshadow too hehe. So I had to draw another dog ears Lucerys, his more draconic hanyo part and even a yokai one just because uwu. And I really wanted to go a little bit more deep into the Sesshomaru-Aemond clothing and stuff, even decided to be a little bit mean and added an Arrax head to the mix (Sorry Arrax).

Been looking at Hannibal’s interior (as one does) and I literally cannot figure out what this man’s favorite color is?? Now I’m spiralling though because is it normal to not have a FAVORITE color? Like you own most things in said color? Or is this what truly, definitely, once and for all proves that Hannibal Lecter is a psychopath. It’s because he doesn’t have a favorite color. Or am I the psychopath in this situation? I want any and everything to be my favorite color (green).

His house is so many mixes of reds, blues, browns, even some oranges and greens. Also his overall interior aesthetic is really odd. Not in a bad way though, at least in my opinion. I’ve seen some call it ugly, but that’s besides the point. He has a lot of very vintage-y feel, almost grandmacore furniture. But the decor (wall hangings, lamps, etc) feel very rustic? I think would be the word? He literally has a table with deer hooves for legs I’m pretty sure. Or maybe that was a dream. ANYWAY. Very all over the place aesthetic, it’s driving me mad.

I don’t know. Maybe I’ve come to the conclusion that I shouldn’t be this curious as to what Hannibal’s favorite color is. But now it’s killing me from the inside out.

I am under the assumption that his favorite color is blue. Almost his entire bedroom is blue, the trim(?) in many of the rooms is the same blue, as well as the wallls in his dining room, and lastly a lot of his smaller decorations like throw pillows and such are blue.

Also, I’m Pretty Sure a majority of his suits are blue. The only thing that deters me is his most iconic suit (in my opinion) is red. It’s the one that both Bryan Fuller and Mads have a replica of. And yk, corny horror character obviously loves red because it’s the color of blood! But I doubt that’s an actual factor. Maybe Hannibal just wore red on his murderous days because he didn’t want to get his beloved blue suits covered in blood.

I think that the conversation over Wen Yuan/Lan Sizhui being "shoe horned" into the Wangxian relationship to make them a generic nuclear family, when he "has a family", is a bit disingenuous. We can talk up the wall about complex families and relationships, but there's something to be said about the western fandom, at least, that doesn't get talked about.

Unfortunately, there's a bit of an issue where people who don't work with kids, and aren't related to a kid, and then try interacting with children are very quickly labeled as pedophiles. I've seen it go as far as parents not even allowing their kid be alone with members of their own family.

So basically a culture has been built in which Wangxian can't interact with Wen Yuan without being creeps essentially. So people that want to play with their favorite characters in a quick safe way reach for the low hanging fruit.

In the end I find it interesting how our surroundings can influence our understanding of the world around us and our art
