One of the earliest examples of Leo’s “I’ll do my own thing to accomplish our goal without discussing it with my team first” is in episode one. It’s super, super quick, and ultimately inconsequential, but it subtly sets up a great precedent that I think is very interesting.
When the boys need to grab the medallion from Splinter without Splinter noticing, Raph, Mikey, and Donnie huddle together with Raph taking the lead in trying to devise a plan to get the mystic device. Meanwhile, Leo slinks away and grabs the device by clocking the situation (by knowing his father well enough to predict his actions - something he does with each family member multiple times in the series) and making a move on his own.
It works out perfectly fine, and is ultimately the best move, and it’s honestly okay that he didn’t consult everyone for something so small when it’s such a non issue to get it, but it nicely sets up how this tends to go in the series, including how it goes in the movie.
To be honest episode one is actually really good at setting up a lot of things for each character in the long run, this is just one example that caught my attention, as small and unassuming as it is.

Johnny in these.
He is so unbelievably Barbie doll to me—I play with his character like one lol. I see everyone saying he’s Ken (which is somewhat because CK decided to dumb him down (a lot) so now everyone associates him with ditsness), and I think there are a good amount of similarities as well—the headband, for example—but to me he’s a mix, taking the og TKK Johnny into account. Irl, Barbie would have been a bit prissy and probably even a little mean—but she is Barbie and rules don’t apply to her, so Johnny is kind of Rockelle-like in attitude but Barbie-like in looks.
And on the doll clothes note. I am so so obsessed with the fashion. After seeing the Barbie movie, I am BACK on my doll loving bullshit.

There is a single Monster High outfit and that is because even as an older kid I looooved Clawdeen and Draculara and their outfits. I’d turn it red or blue for Johnny though. And the rest….need to explanation. Just picture it, he’d look amazing.

filled out a survey abt my diet for my little brother's nutrition class and he's so horrified he's prepping meals for me now 😆

Omg omg omg. I just learned someone burned down my abusers car!!!! This made my fucking day 😂😂😂
#he had a crown victoria that used to be a cop car and he put huge stickers of the joker on both sides#and other shit that cost him a MASSIVE amount of money and this car was his fucking baby#one of the ways he abused me was financially and he owes me more than 1000$ or probably more than 2000$#so omg#omg#im sorry but i love whoever did this 😂#im so overjoyed about this i wanna jump of joy every time i remember this happened!!!#so im pinning this to my blog to get a serotonin boost every time i look at my blog 😂#I just marked October 9th on the calendar on my phone as KARMA DAY where i will get drunk and high as fuck to celebrate#its a new holiday for me and my girlfriend 😂#and also i was working tonight and one of our regulars passed by his house and apparently theres almost nothing left of the car#he didnt even realize that it was his crown vic 😂#the person who burned it used a propane tank and set it on fire with a torch so they really wanted to destroy his car as much as possible#and i think thats beautiful! this person is my hero lol#i hope he doesnt end up killing whoever did this because i could truly see him do it#but at least if he does that means he's going to prison for life and i wont have to worry about seeing him ever again!#also one of my most traumatic memories with him took place in his car which makes me even more happy that it burned the fuck down
