First I want to address baby Frankie…lol no. Francis is the name I’d want to give to my son if I ever have a baby boy. I picked that name after Francis from Malcolm in the Middle 💀 I’m not shitting you. Baby Frankie is the least inspired by Frankie Morales LMFAO I actually hate that movie and hadn’t watched it at that point. I have seen it probably 3 times now and I still have no fucking idea who anyone is except for Frankie. I have no idea what happens either.

A learning process was such a sweet fic to write 🩷 didn’t know that’s why you followed me! I’ve seen you in my interactions for so long, it’s always so nice to hear from you 🩵🩵 I love ya. It was inspired by my own fears of being a mother and not having my shit together. Thinking about it now, I think Lois struggled to connect with Francis when he was an infant too, right?

I go back and forth on wanting to be a mom or not and it’s largely a no because I think I’d be so dogshit at it, what with my emetephobia and tendency to get overwhelmed with people and things so quickly. Anyway, with the right partner, it’s possible. Joel was inspired by my fiancé who is my safe place to land every day. I loved how soft Joel was written in this, and though I won’t revisit these two, but I’ll probably write more extra soft!joel in the future because I think I still need him.

Ghost hunters AU (saiouma)

First shared in The Saiouma Pit discord server, parts said by others start with their name. I jumped on that one a little late, but fully took over (just in the nick of time to save it from Hina angsting it)

Beez: human with a ghost roommate but throw in a ghost hunter neighbor for flavor [the starting prompt]

Beez: oh yeah to clarify saiou r not the roommates, they're the human/hunter

Hina: Is the ghost hunter good at their job or pathetic

Dra: Pathetic pathetic pathetic/hj

Beez: shuichi ghost hunter it is then

Beez: i just think. new neighbor shuichi moving in and kokichi helping him out bc friendly neighborly thing to do and he notices all this weird equipment so he asks hey whats this for and shuichi just drops the "oh im a ghost hunter" and kokichi just chokes on nothing

Dra: Ok now the question is who is the ghost and how it is probably Rantaro/hj

Beez: taro or miu would be fun

Hina: Okay what if Ghost Gang DICE

Hina: Can all humans see ghosts or is Kokichi just quirky

Dra: Quirky

Beez: shuichi has to hunt them if he could see them his job would be so much easier

Hina: Kokichi when he hears Shuichi is a ghost hunter and thinks he can see them So he tries to hide this huge ghost gang Only for bro to pull out a ghostinator 3000 And Kokichi realizes he's putting in too much effort

Beez: they [ghost DICE] were inhabiting the building and said we like this guy specifically i think it would be funny if shuichi was just like. not necessarily a threat per se but "ghost hunter" did not sound pleasant to kokichi so he automatically assumed the worst and tries to hide dice from him he tries to keep him away from the building by going like oh since ur new why dont i show you all the sights and fun places

(finally me) so basically Shuichi is a boogara "I want to believe" and Kokichi is a real medium?

Kokichi becomes his teammate specifically to make sure Shuichi doesn't discover ghosts

Hina: Okay but this and he starts trying to fuck up Shuichi's equipment

they start to visit other places in the area and Kokichi just warns the ghosts not to show signs to Shuichi and then makes sure it sounds like he's lying when he says he did see things himself (Shane behavior bc the mention of the equipment immediately connected the au in my mind to them)

doesn't have to fuck it up, it's all just those radio waves & temperature reacting trinkets

Hina: Does Kokichi try and talk them down?

the ghosts? usually he doesn't have to, his friends know how to stay hidden, but when stranger ghosts notice he's a medium that's a problem, so he exaggerates things to make it seem for both Shuichi and the ghost that he only accidentally got a few replies in to make it sound like he was holding a conversation with a ghost and starts spewing bullshit, telling the ghost to kill them (again projecting Shane behavior) doesn't want to get roped into helping out a troubled soul or give Shuichi proof he wouldn't mind helping if it was doable but a lot of the time it isn't and ghosts just get angry & it's just a dangerous business as a whole

Oh! what if, what if the only reason they became a team is that Kokichi made a bet with him, "Show me that this works, prove that there are ghosts out there and I'll let you do that ridiculous investigation in my apartment, I don't want a fake ghost hunt taking up space in my living room"

literally just picture Kokichi in his place except the joke is that he knows the ghosts are there and just don't have the power to do that shit

also oftentimes the scary places Shuichi picks out have no ghosts so he can go all out on this act, meanwhile normal places they go to eat at, or grocery stores always have some wandering, but Shuichi doesn't expect them there so he can in turn ignore them

warning this user has drank their haterade ^^ okay sooo maybe im alone in this but ive loved ryan n shane since early bfu days so when I was like what 14 or 15??? i was consistently a dedicated boogara but at almost 20 now i no longer believe in ghosts or demons or cryptids or alien abduction stories n all that unfortunately 😥 with love to ryan i literally just grew out of it it's the same with horror movies n spiders n The Dark like i used to get so scared of them but then I kind of was like okayyyy this is a bit silly as it's not real ❤️ there r real things to be afraid of such as mold in unwashed water bottles like

my stance on ghosts: real??? not real??? shaniac??? boogara???

the answer is that im pretty on the fence in terms of the shaniac / boogara scale, but i do believe that there are spirits / energies and whatnot. do i believe that they're ghosts in exactly the way we understand them??? probably not!!! if humans somehow got everything right about beings that there has arguably been next to no concrete evidence of that would be absolutely wild.

so when watching unsolved (and now ghost files) i have always agreed with shane in most instances on the "evidence" ryan acquires. in my opinion, a lot of it is just coincidence, or the wind, or (insert more excuses here). however, i have found a few instances that i've definitely agreed with ryan on his evidence, so i'm not saying i'm completely siding with one or the other. they're both smart guys. they've got unique perspectives, and it's fun to see.

(the repeat of "apple tater" and "spaghetti" particularly threw me for a loop. i don't think it's 10000% concrete ghost evidence, but it was... weird. a hilarious coincidence at the very least)
