listen its not that tamlin locking feyre in a manor is ‘not a big deal’. its that sjm parallels tamlin and rhysand way too much for rhysand to be a viable, healthy option for feyre.
rhys put a whole city under a lockdown so severe people forgot about its existence (and from what the wiki says, the city was kept hidden for centuries even before, for the safety of its citizens) but tamlin locking feyre in a manor, so she wouldn’t follow him into an unsafe situation was crossing a line?

I’m not sure if Aelin/TOG gang will show up in CC3 or the next ACOTAR book(s), but if the rumors are true about sjm’s next series, Twilight of the Gods, then I absolutely think she will incorporate TOG into it. I think Sarah might be brewing up something big. I once had a theory that Koschei, the Valg (a part of me believes they’re actually the Princes of Hel) and maybe the Asteri might be working together or the characters from ACOTAR and CC somehow travel to the TOG world because of a new threat. Something maybe like Avengers Endgame. I would like to see the TOG characters again. I feel like we should have a novella on them, especially Manon and Dorian.
I don’t think Sarah having Aelin fall through Prythian where she saw Rhys and Feyre was for nothing. Also, I feel like the Valg might be making a reappearance. Orcus and Mantyx are still alive somewhere. I want to know just how powerful and dangerous Orcus (some believe he might be Prince Aidas) is since he’s the most powerful Valg King. Same with Koschei, just how bad is he…I think we might get major a character death(s) in the crossover. Random, but do you think it’s possible the Rhys might have Valg blood in him? I think he’s supposed to look like Dorian and Manon has Valg blood in her, but there’s others who think Rhys might be related to Maeve. Also, Erawan can create & control darkness, use darkness to teleport and cannot be sensed by others, kinda sounds like Azriel. Not saying that they’re the same person, but I don’t believe Azriel is fully Illyrian, I think somewhere in his bloodline he has High Fae blood. So sorry for the long ask!
I actually wouldn't mind if the Valg show up again because they creeped me out and the villains in ToG felt way more convincing and effective than anything in acotar so far, or cc. The Asteri have potential, I will admit. But the Valg, Maeve, and the other dudes from her world actually felt like a formidable threat.
I think that regarding Rhys having Valg blood or being related to Maeve, anything is possible, and maybe it's just my deep desire to NOT have the series that closely connected, but it would depend on the timeline. Are these series happening around the same time? The signs point to yes, since Rhys saw Aelin. It's possible that ToG happened in the past, but even if that weren't the case, Maeve is super old, and potential for offspring leading to Rhys isn't out of the question.
It honestly all feels like we are shooting in the dark until we get some of these issues resolved in HOFAS. Like I could say, "perhaps Orcus is the elder brother of Koschei, and we will find out that all fae in the acotar world are the result of Maeve having sex with an Illyrian and *genetics*" and no one could prove me wrong? haha it's just... the options are endless.
I think that - and this is my honest opinion - whatever sjm needs to write so that certain characters bang, that's what she will make happen. If Rhys being related to Maeve means that Bryce and Hunt get reunited, then that's what she would do. If Orcus showing up in HOFAS helped her get another pair screwing and mated, she would do it. It seems like she is having fun with this, but not taking a super intellectual approach. And that's fine! It's not a criticism, just a comment on her style. Like you mentioned Avengers, and she's mentioned that as being fun and a cool moment she wanted with the crossover. I personally don't think it's any deeper than that, than her thinking "this sounds fun, I'm going to do it". I think that this fandom thinks about these things more than she does.
I do wonder if re: similarities between characters in different series, it's more a question of sjm just having a style and us starting to recognize the patterns. it would be super easy for her to make connections between these characters after the fact, but I'm always a bit suspicious of the idea that she's being intentional ahead of time, especially when she herself has said in interviews that she doesn't outline and lets the story take her where it will. imo people attribute a lot of intentionality to her writing that just isn't actually there.

Some theories and notes from when I was reading HOSAB, this will be a bit long. I added more after going through my notes and I'm using lines I highlighted from the book.
[HOSAB Spoilers Ahead]
• Prythian is fucked. The Asteri are the Daglan and they want to return to Prythian to avenge the death of their sisters and brothers and because they want to feed on the magic since it has so many. “They overthrew our brethren who once ruled there—we have not forgotten. Our initial attempt at revenge was foiled by your ancestor who also bore that star on her chest. The Fae have still not atoned for the deaths of our brothers and sisters. Their home world was rich in magic. I crave more of it.” (Rigelus speaking to Bryce).
• Queen Theia is very likely the wife of the High King Fionn (The first HK of Prythian) and she betrayed him along with his best friend and General Pelias (piece of shit). Midgard was created 1000 years prior to their arrival, so the Asteri drew them to it and they opened a portal to Midgard with another item (The Harp) and the Horn and they also had Gwydion (Starsword) with them. Theia and her daughters realized it was too late and only Theia's daughter managed to return to Prythian and shut the portals (likely with the Harp). “Your ancestors wielded the Horn and another Fae object that allowed them to enter this world. Stolen, of course, from their original masters—our people.”
• The Daglan created other Angel prototypes like the Illyrians, Seraphim, and Peregryn. The Illyrians are a unique case because they have chaotic magic if they didn't use siphons, and they have demon wings and that's why Bryce thought Azriel was a demon. Enalius, the first Illyrian, sided with the Fae and defended Ramiel from the Daglan who were desperate to reach it for a reason. Currently, Ramiel sits on a very important piece of information and it possibly could be a Daglan palace carved underneath it. It's also an access point. The IC might possibly discover items and treasures belonging to the Daglan or something more.
• The lore behind the Blood Rite is to honor Enalius, but not more is explained or cleared up. There is a theory that the Blood Rite exists because the Daglan test their creation (e.g. Illyrians) and to pick the elite warriors (Carynthians) for the Wild Hunt. The fact that the Illyrians continue the Blood Rite means if the Daglan ever return they already have an army ready for them if the Illyrians ever submit to them because of fear.
• Azriel may have to give up Truth-teller as it's Bryce and Ruhn's by birthright and so the prophecy about the sword and the knife uniting the Fae comes true.
• I think Sarah is setting up the High King plot for Rhysand. If they discover that there is a larger threat from another dimension that want to come to Prythian and conquer it then the courts will have to be United and the High King Fionn tale will play over again with Rhys. Ruhn and Rhys's stark resemblance could hint at the fact that Rhys is a descendant of the Starborn, possibly Theia's second daughter.
• It's been confirmed that Urd is The Mother as we know her in ACOTAR and she is the one Nesta has a connection to. Urd is also likely Fate herself and she is responsible for the Mating Bonds.
• The Dread Trove is the Daglan's creation but the missing piece of information is it's been said the Mask was designed after the face of a long forgotten king and it's the Mask Helion Spellcleaver cringed from and couldn't stand the sight of it, he said maybe someone from his bloodline used it and the warning of using it is imprinted on their bloodline.
• Nesta could be the conduit for Bryce to find her way to Hel. Nesta still has some of her powers thanks to the Mother and we also have Merrill researching the 26 dimensions so that could come in handy. “The Fae—Queen Theia and her two foolish daughters—realized that, though too late. Her people were already here, but she and the princesses discovered where my siblings had hidden the access points in their world.” One of the access points could be the prison and that's why Nesta heard people screaming behind the walls, it could be the Fae that tried to return to Prythian before the portals were sealed off and they got stuck.
• “You will undo the actions of one ignorant princess fifteen thousand years ago.” This likely means the last person that used the Harp was Queen Theia's second daughter.
• “If it’s of any interest to you, your Starborn bloodline specifically hailed from a small isle a few miles from the mainland. And while the mainland had all manner of climes, the isle existed in beautiful, near-permanent twilight.” In ACOSF it was mentioned that Fionn's wife was the leader of her own land, then it must be the Dusk Court. This is why the stone the Harp was standing on had the engraving of the Starborn emblem. I kind of doubt that the isle is the Prison, it could be the isle between Day and Night Court borders which would make sense given the name. The Prison based on Feyre's description is a barren small isle but I still could be wrong.
• "“There is a ritual I could perform … It’d need to be on the Autumnal Equinox, though.” “When the veil between realms is thinnest,” Ruhn said." I know this piece of information is going to be very important for us.
• “It’s an ancient sword,” the Autumn King said at last, drawing Ruhn from his wandering thoughts, “from another world. Made from the metal of a fallen star—a meteorite. This sword exists beyond our planet’s laws. Perhaps the Reapers sensed that and shied away.” I wonder if the same applies to Truthteller or it's powers are accessed when a Starborn wields it. “But the Starsword still sang, and Bryce had no idea what to make of it. Of the blade that had slain that which was unkillable.” Can the Starsword/Gwydion actually kill Koschei the Deathless? Wouldn't have Fionn tried if that was true?
• “Death’s Day was a lively one, despite its name: it was a day of balance between the light and dark, when the veil between the living and dead was thinnest.” Another event that says the veil between two dimensions is the thinnest.
• “When knife and sword are reunited, so shall our people be. You have the Starsword. What if … I don’t know. What if there’s a knife out there for me?” Good luck taking that knife out of Azriel's hands. But I wonder what does the prophecy mean? Which people? The Fae from Prythian or the Starborn Fae specifically?
• “a Starlight Fancy horse called Thunderbird: a blue-and-white unicorn-pegasus who could wield all types of energy. She’d never gotten her hands on one, though she’d yearned to.” (Pegasus, blue and white) reminded me of Gwyn. I do have a theory that Gwyn's powers could be similar to a Thunderbird since hers was also described as crackling energy (but that can also relate to flames). “Energy of any type was hers to command, to suck into herself. Her kind had been hunted to extinction by the Asteri centuries ago because of that mighty, unconquerable gift—or so it had seemed.”
• “Cormac is powerful, his household strong. I want you in Avallen because it is a safehold. Even the Asteri cannot pierce its mists without permission, so old is the magic that guards it.” D
I honestly did not expect the Asteri to end up being this terrifying. I can't imagine how Koschei would compare, he is an old god and as old as the sea so I can't tell what he is but I think Koschei wants the Daglan/Asteri to return. There is so much to dissect here 😂

I just saw your post about Illyrians potentially being from Hel or having Fionn's bloodline running through them, which might be the source of Az's shadows, and I was wondering, maybe the reason TT "chose" Az is because it, as a Made object, can sense that Az is a descendent of it's original masters. Adding on to this, we know that TT also worked for Elain, maybe it's because Az consciously or subconsciously willed TT to be whatever Elain needed it to be, or maybe elriel are carranam or mates
Hi anon!
These are very good questions. For anyone interested, you can read my theory about the Illyrians here.
So I think it’s totally possible TT can sense that Az is descended from its previous master(s). When Rhys is discussing the betrayal of Fionn by his queen and general, who we now know are theia and pelias, he says:
Tumblr media
“His bloodline’s most powerful and precious weapons.” To me, this suggests that the weapons belong to Fionn’s bloodline and are connected to it—likely because Fionn was Starborn, or maybe made?
I also think it’s definitely possible that TT might have worked for Elain because Azriel willed it, or because they’re mates of carranam (I mean, she steps out of a shadow…). I know @offtorivendell believes they might be carranam, and she touched upon that a bit in this reblog.
However, I also think it’s possible TT worked for Elain because Elain is Starborn.
I could see this happening in one of three ways:
1) starborn in effect means cauldron-blessed or Made. We know that Elain and Nesta can search for the trove and trove-made objects because they’re Made. So to me, this suggests there’s some sort of connection between the starborn and Made fae. Maybe the starborn are the descendants of Made fae, meaning that Elain and Nesta are like super-powered starborn lol.
2) the Archeron sisters are descendants of the second daughter of Theia and Fionn too, OR descendants of a third child of Fionn and Theia.
I was talking with @offtorivendell and @psychee92 the other day, and @psychee92 pointed out that in Greek mythology, Theia was a Titan that had three children: Helios (the god of the sun), Selene (the goddess of the moon), and Eos (the goddess of the dawn). Selene seems like she could be represented by Helena, and Eos the second daughter. Is it possible that Fionn and Theia also had a son, who reresents Helios? If so, I think it’s likely that Helion descends from him (which relates to this theory post I made about Lucien and Feyre being starborn), but it’s possible that the Archeron sisters could as well.
(Side note: is the second daughter the warrior fae that trapped Koschei too? Is this history repeating itself with her descendants now being poised to fight Koschei again, and hopefully defeat him once and for all?)
3) The Cauldron gave Elain starborn powers as part of its gifts to her. Elain was glowing when she came out of the cauldron, and is often compared to light or described using terms related to light.
I am so excited to find out where Sarah is going with all of this.
And thanks so much for the ask, anon. I really love talking about these theories. 💕

A Mysterious Stranger: thoughts on Gwyn’s unknown father
Gwyneth Berdara: our lovely cinnammon roll who could actually kill you who was introduced in ACOSF and who took the fandom by storm. She’s strong, brave, good and optimistic despite a dark past, a great friend that Nesta desperately needed. Her potential as a character is extraordinary, both because of the development and healing she needs to undergo, her connection with the Valkyries and Nesta and a very mysterious — and interesting! — family tree.
@yazthebookish did a great meta elaborating on Gwyn's maternal bloodline, connecting her with the Autumn Court and, more specifically, to Eris, which you can find and read (here). As you can guess by the title, we’ll not be diving into that side of the family, but rather about the mysterious stranger who so happens to be her father.
Firstly, I want to clarify that we actually have almost no information on Gwyn's father except for this one line in ACOSF: I, we—my sister and I, I mean—were the result of that sacred union with a male stranger. If we apply Occam's Razor to try and figure out his identity, the solution that covers all available data and makes the fewest leaps of logic is that this mysterious male is just that: a mysterious male, irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
But let's be honest— we all know how unlikely that is in a fantasy and ficiton setting. How many books out there do we have where a character’s unknown father (because yes, it’s hardly ever the mothers) turns out to be of relevance? And SJM does love to give her character something extra, something more, that makes them stand out from those surrouding them.
Look at ToG: how many of them either came from important bloodlines or were blessed by some kind of God? Aelin and Dorian are royals and a descendant of Mala herself; Yrene, introduced a novella and expanded upon Tower of Dawn, comes from an ancient line of healers dating centuries back; the key players are nearly all tied to some deity.
In ACoTaR itself, both Azriel and Cassian don't really come from special bloodlines (that we know of), but are extremely powerful to make up for it. The Archeron sisters? Their father was the Prince of Merchants, and there may be something else to their bloodline that we don’t yet know like, say, being descendants of the Fae who imprisoned Koschei. Feyre ended the curse and a silver of the High Lord’s magic, Nesta took from the Cauldron when she went down, and it loved Elain so much it voluntarily gave her more.
So let's put in our tinfoil hats and ask: what if Gwyn's paternal side is more than what it appears to be?
We all know Sarah loves Mythology and folklore and is constantly lifting things directly from it, be it names or concepts. Sometimes she picks and chooses and blends them together to create her own thing, other times she doesn’t even bother as much. Nyx's own name, for instance, or the High King Fionn, from the Irish legend of Fionn mac Cumhaill.
It’s fairly common in mythology and folklore for deities and supernatural beings to take different guises and seduce different women, then disappear and leaving them behind with a child, unbeknownst to them. Some already know from the start, but other times, the child grows up and only learns of their parentage when fate comes calling.
There's one god I'd like to call attention to, though. One norse God who is known to wander through the nine worlds, with a nearly insatiable thirst for knowledge: Odin. Wait, Ella, why Odin, of all of them? Because the Valkyries are his daughters. It's true that ACoTaR's Valkyries more closely mirror the Amazons than the Norse Valkyries themselves, but the connection is still there. And who brought the Valkyries up first, questioned why they didn't use Valkyrie technics (even though Nesta suggested mixing it with th Illyrians), and perhaps most symbolic, she was the first to cut the ribbon.
Gwyn, first of the new Valkyries.
We know from Sarah's multiverse that there are ways to travel between worlds; in ACoTaR, the harp itself allows one to open any door; in ToG, we have the wyrdkeys and the gates. So what if Gwyn's father was one such worldwaker, who just so happened to be passing by then? This could potentially tie her in with the greater forces at work, the otherworldly beings which Koschei and the Bone Carver are a part of. A child of secret knowledge.
That's the first assumption/idea. The second one is the other reason why I selected Odin: in the Norse versions of the story, he's the leader of Wild Hunt. ACoSF introduces us to the concept in the verse, this is what we know of it: "The Wild Hunt was a way to keep all of us in line. They’d gather a host of their fiercest, most merciless warriors and grant them free rein to kill as they pleased."
What's even funnier is that Odin, despite our current image of him, was far more related to the more berserker warriors and the frenzy of the combat. The Valkyries, the choosers of the slain, picked the most valiant and fiercest of warriors, half of whom became einherjar— and here I'd like to point out that they stemmed or were influenced probably from a common source, as the Wild Hunt is a ghostly horde (that does not seem to be the case in ACOTAR, but the connection is there).
Which brings me to another possibility: what if Gwyn's father is one the Daglan? We know they were cast down and hunted down, likely by Fionn (Rhys says that this one of the strains, but I'm going to go with it being true to Prythian), but just like there were Fae who fought with the humans in the Great War, were there not Daglan who sided with the Fae and Humans? We know that after they were cast down, the Fae hunt them down and imprisoned them, slowly, but how many managed to survive and live out there, in hiding? Even if they were not evil, the Daglan were demonized. Just like the Fae imprisoned Amren for thinking her one of their enemies, they could have turned against the Daglan who actually helped them.
The Daglan are, to me, inspired by the Fomorians who are described to be gods associated with the destructive powers of nature, being in direct opposition to the other race of gods, who are associated with more positive things. They also dwelled under the sea or under the earth. Cassian gives us Lubia as a seamonster. But under the Earth? We have the halls of the Prison, Under the Mountain, Hewn City... And yet unexplored Ramiel. With how the Hewn City designs were connected to the hounds of the hunt, these to me were important places of the Daglan of old. They might've even held the Dread Trove, once upon a time, and maybe Ramiel still does, or at least a clue towards it.
Gwyn being half-Daglan could neatly connect her to the overarching plot of the series, which seems to be going further into how the world was before the Fae took rulership. It would also tie her in with the otherworldly beings and plot that's emerging, and allow her to play a greater role. Would she be able to scry the fourth trove? No, but she and Azriel — because I firmly believe the next book is his — might be able to figure out and unveil the shadows surrounding the fourth trove.
This is very tinfoil-y and I'll readily admit that, but it's a thought that grabbed me and won't let go so I'm throwing it out there! Enjoy!

Daughter Of A Warrior (Part 2)
Posting a new part every Thursday. Hopefully this will get to 6 or so parts.
Summary : It’s her 17th birthday, and her and Derek are hiding out in their little shelter. When Devlon tells Derek that he is thinking of clipping his sister, Ariana’s wings, he tells Alina, who knows of what that did to his mother. With her birthday here and her powers too strong for her four siphons, he has a small surprize hidden for her. And what girl doesn’t like chocolate.
She watched soundlessly as Derek clambered into the little shelter. When he was inside he crouched down and looked at her, she smirked. “What, your six feet seven doesn’t fit? Shame. Well, what can I help you with?” he glared at her and she laughed, “I just talked to dad.” the grave tone had her jaw clenching, this wasn’t going to end up well. “ Some of the other males and camp lords are pressuring him to clip Ari’s wings, he doesn’t want to, but he is not totally against it either. He wants relations to be good with the other camps.”
Derek sunk down against the side of one of the tree trunks, head bowed between his knees. Derek’s sister Ariana was fourteen, that Devlon would even THINK about having her wings clipped.....
Anger bubbled up inside of her, Devlon’s wife, Lillian had died so that Ariana would live, had put her daughters life before her own, and Derek had promised his mother that he would protect her. When they were little, Derek, her, her dad and Lillian used to walk around the camp, she remembered Derek saying once that his mother had once told him that her wings being clipped had been the worst thing to ever happen to her. That not being able to fly anymore, not be able to ride the wind around the mountains and trees had cut her off from the world. She had never been the same after that.
That Devlon would even consider this was a shame to Lillian’s name, a shame to what she stood for, and she would make sure her father knew about it. Knew that a camp lord was considering doing something that had been outlawed for Decades, and was punishable by exile and those that did it were put to lowest rank.
Not death, not like it would have been for the majority of other races, but shame and exile... Illyrians were proud, and they held everything to their bloodlines, to their purebreds and those born of strength that are from those lines. It was the worst punishment possible.
Unfolding her legs from her sitting position and setting her favorite blade to the side she walked over to him, mindful of the little bumps and holes in the floor beneath her. Tucking her wings in tight, she sat down beside him pressing her arm to his. “I promised her, I promised her this wouldn’t happen, not to Ari.” his voice was a whisper, broken. “It wont. She won’t get her wings clipped, I promise. Even if she has to live here, I won't let that happen.”
She spoke softly, afraid to scare him off. Afraid he would run. But he stayed, slowly, he shifted his gaze to peer up at her. The sadness that gleamed there broke her heart, she pressed her arms closer to him. Despite the facade they put on, they really weren’t enemies, just too similar, and neither  one like showing weakness in front of others.
He pulled his face up, looking at her again. The ghost of a smirk lurked there, playing on his face and she felt the instinctive warriness that often came with seeing that expression. She knew that smirk, it mean trouble. It always did. She launched away from him bolting for the other side of the little treehouse.
He jumped after her, grabbing her by the angle and yanking her back. Twisting she pulled herself out of the hold and launched back, pushing her knee into his chest. He felt back from the impact, and she pinned his arms, looking down at him with a smirk, “You never were very good about fighting in close quarters, you always run into things.”
A grin grew on his face as he looked up at her. “Happy Birthday. I put chocolates in the bag over there. And I let you win.” she knew he was lying, he was almost seven feet, and in no way was he ever good at fighting in small spaces, mostly because he filled a lot of that small space. But he did make up for it with chocolates, and blades.
Walking over to the bag, she grabbed it, opening it to reveal the contents inside, grabbing a few of the gremlins inside, she sat down. He crouched down, looking her in the eye, “You might want to look again, it’s not all chocolate.”
She shoved the last of the chocolates in her mouth, and he snorted from a few feet away. Her hands no longer occupied, she looked in the bag. Chocolate, chocolate, Gold. Her heart stopped. A bright gold color sat at the bottom of the bag casting a faint glow over the chocolates. She reached in, pulling it out.
Sure enough, a gold siphon lay in her hand. The octogonal shape identical to her others. She looked up at him, confused. “I shouldn’t be able to feel you holding back your power. It’s not safe for you or anyone else.” was his only explanation.
“I - How, i’ve been trying to get one for weeks, Devlon kept saying no.” it was true, her dad was almost ready to force Devlon to allow another one, but it would still be difficult. Devlon was better than most camp lords, but he still didn’t like her having siphons, every siphon she got it became harder to acquire the next.

ACOTAR character profiles: Morrigan
Family name: Not given
Other names: Mor, The Morrigan.
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Golden, wavy, long
Race: High Fae (Night Court)
Age: A year younger than Cassian.
Blood relatives:
-          Father, Keir, Steward of the Hewn City
-          Mother, also living in the Hewn City
-          Brothers, names not given
-          Cousin to Rhysand.
Relationships:
-          Mor is a member of the inner circle alongside Rhys, Amren, Cassian, Azriel and later Feyre.
-          Mor and Rhys grew up together, once sledging down the spiral walkway in the Velaris library and at other times staying in the cabin.
-          Mor finally confesses to Feyre that she loves Azriel as family but can’t be in a romantic relationship with him because she prefers females (ACOWAR p.588 – 593). To escape her engagement to Eris, Mor chose to sleep with Cassian out of the two Illyrian warriors because she knew it would mean too much to Azriel. Azriel then rescued her when the Autumn Court left her for dead. Soon after this Mor walked away rather than let Azriel tell her he loved her. She does not want to try and have that sort of relationship with Azriel now as she does not think she could love him like she could love a woman and to try, and fail, at the relationship would break him (ACOWAR p. 588 – 593).
-          Miryam, the human Made immortal who fought in the War, is an old friend of Mor’s. Mor defends her when it is suggested she cheated on Jurian, saying she knows Miryam left him before starting her relationship with Drakon.
-          Friend of Prince Drakon, who gave her the Seraphim blades.
-          Morrigan knew Jurian when he was part of the fae-mortal alliance in the original War, but believed Amarantha broke him to her will (ACOWAR p. 495 and 503).
-          Nephelle and her wife inspired Mor to take her first female lover.
-          The human queens from the war five hundred years ago, were friends of Mor.
-          Andromanche, a human queen and ancestor of Demetra, was Mor’s first female lover. After the War they became trapped on opposite sides of the wall. Three years later Mor was finally successful in crossing over, only to find Andromanche married to another human, with a baby. Mor left without making herself known to her former lover. She tells Feyre she has not felt love like she did for Andromanche in the five hundred years since (ACOWAR p. 588 – 593).
-          Previously engaged against her will to Eris, heir of the Autumn Court. To escape this Mor slept with Cassian, leading to her abuse at the hands of her family and the Autumn Court (see above). In ACOWAR Eris claims he freed Mor from the engagement because he knew she did not want it (p. 276), saying that one day, now they are allies, he may explain.
-          Viviane, wife of Kallias High Lord of Winter, is a friend of Morrigan. It seems they didn’t fight together in the War as Viv tells Morrigan she always knew they would fight together someday (ACOWAR p. 446) and they do fight together in the final battle against Hyburn (ACOWAR p. 622).
-          Mor sleeps with Helion during the Dawn Court council. Rhys tells Feyre that Helion has been trying to get Mor, Azriel and Cassian into his bed at once for centuries (ACOWAR p. 451).
Titles/positions: Court overseer for both the Court of Nightmares and the Court of Dreams, ruling Belarus and the Hewn City. Third in the Inner Circle.
Magic: the Gift of Truth – Mor’s ancestors left the Veritas to their bloodline.
Key backstory:
-          ACOMAF p. 237 – 239: Mor tells Feyre about her escape from the Court of Nightmares and how the Illyrians helped her.
-          Rhys has given Mor permission to kill her family in the Court of Nightmares if she pleases.
Other information:
-          Carries Seraphim blades to war (ACOWAR p. 349) and wears Illyrian leathers.
Quotes:
“Welcome to the family, Feyre.”
On giving Feyre a bottle of wine after a Nesta death-threat: “It’s fine if you drink directly from it.”
On glamouring Elain as a human: “ “You’re still lovely,” Mor said a bit gently. Elain offered a half smile. “I suppose that war makes wanting things like that unimportant.” Mor was quiet for a heartbeat. “Perhaps. But you should not let war steal in from you regardless.” “

Daughter Of A Warrior - Part 5
Summary : After finding her aunt, Alina, daughter to Cassian and Nesta takes a journey through her history and the lost secrets of the Illyrians. When she find the truth about the ancient warriors, she learns her heritage, and her future as a leader. But this journey will be much harder than she ever thought.
Alina wasn’t sure what the power was, or how she possessed it but as she slowly, carefully explored the outer rim of the magic, she felt the world around her still, as if time itself wasn’t enough to stop the raging throne of power.
Alina slowly looked back to her wings once more, and, slowly, she flared the wings, stretching them farther, and then froze, all at once recognizing the marks, not streaks at all but WORDS, in a language long foreign but never truly forgotten.
Illyrian legend claimed that the strongest of the Illyrian warriors had once held the keys to all mountains, to the wind and the earth and the sky. Their histories filled with warriors of great power and strength, told to be of the best bloodlines and the strongest of courage. The image of the famous mountain flashed before her, her mind brought back to the mountain of Ramiel, and the warrior who had once defended it, and, many years later, so had her mother in the battle against a death god and a crone of a queen.
“Ramiel’s true story is different than the ones told by your camp lords, you know.” she looked to her aunt, confused, sure, some parts were probably left behind, fading into long forgotten history but the story was one that the illyrians prided themselves with, so what would have had to be so different?
“Sorry?” The word poured from her mouth, unable to stay hidden as she looked to the woman in pure confusion. The woman simply smiled and turned, walking into a cave entrance behind her and she walked through the tunnel, indicating for her to come with.
She did, hesitantly, but as light in the tunnel began to grow fainter, a new one loomed at the end of the tunnel, and her and her aunt emerged, she felt her power surge forward and a gasp fell from her lips at the feeling. But it was nothing to how she felt as she looked up....
The room was taller than it should have been within the cave and filled with books and portraits by the hundreds, it reminded her of the library in Velaris, and she wondered how Clotho and Gwyn would react to the area, so rich with thousands of years of lost history.
Her aunts voice pulled her from her thoughts, “It’s organized by warrior, starting from the top, this used to be a castle once, long ago, and long forgotten.” A magical platform raised them the nearly two hundred feet to the top, to a girl, who looked no older than her. “Welcome, Alina, to the gallery of queens. And this, my dear girl, is where it all started, nearly seven thousand years ago.”
“The girl in front of you, Alina, is the first queen of Illyria, and the best warrior ever to fight in our world. Her heirs, your ancestors have helped Illyria to survive all these years, whether those sniffling bastards of camp lords realize it or not.” her aunts voice rang true, and she looked to the name plaque at the bottom of the page, Evangelina Orthodoxos. she turned to the woman beside her, “Orthodoxos?” the woman only smiled, “Welcome, my child, to your true last name. As Evangeline, then known as Lina, battled time and time again with the ancient death gods, they began to call her Orthodoxos. In the language of the ancients, the name means Illyrian.”
Slowly, they descended down the photographs of the Ancient queens,
Evangelina, Stella, Terra, Luna, Salvatora, RAMIEL. The platform paused, one queen from the bottom upon the warrior queen. All of the names followed with Orthodoxos, slowly, she took in the warrior, clad in armor and a crown, the illyrian crest of Lina on her breast, and like Alina and all of the others before her, the ancient writings upon her wings. “Ramiel was female.” The words wracked worlds, small and whispered as they might have been, sending her mind into splinters. How had THIS, of all things, been lost to time? Her aunt stepped forward, “Because they wished it so. Those ancient males decided to change the stories, and as time went on, the stories told now are the ones they believe to be truth”
It was then that she looked to all of their wings, all holding similar markings to her own, all marked with different colors, usually matched to the stones on their crown and sword pommel, the platform descended one last time...
It was blank. Completely absolutely blank, the creme-like canvas starting back at her. Her aunt smiled and the platform reached the landing. Sets of armor lines the walls of the next room, those of the queens, like Ramiel, Salvatore, and Evengelina, and those of the dormant royals, their armor fashioned and battle worn, their crown and sword settled by the armor. She began to quickly realize that these queens, whether declared or nor to the Illyrian race, still ruled, still fought, and still had their own crown.
Each set of armor, fashioned to its warriors colors, held its own sword and crown, bedecked with light jewels and the crescent moon, or a sun, of snow, fire or wind, each of the elements and more on display before her very eyes.
One particular set caught her eye, blue and silver, the silver moon glinting in the moonlight and the match to the crown on her head, and the sword now strapped to her back. She smiled, slow and true before stepping forward to examine it, looking closely at every detail and metal plate within the armor.
Soon after, she was looking into a life-sized, if you could even call it that, it was the size of at least four of her, mirror. The armor fit perfectly, and it didn’t take her long to learn that she could transform the armor, settling it into a dress, or battle armor, along with other styles with the mere command from her mind.
‘Well, then. You certainly look the part, now all there’s left for you to do is train i suppose.” her aunts voice rang true and after carefully removing the armor she moved to the doorway where her aunt stood and followed her through.
As her fist hit the padded board for the first time, she knew this was going to be a lot harder than she had ever imagined.
- Based on Sarah J Maas book series ACOSF - years after the last book, involving mostly Cassian and Nesta’s daughter Alina
