two drawings I made for my school! I designed these three mascots (Tito the Tiger, Moto Crü the human, & Nacho the monkey) and all the students voted for which would be the school's "official" mascot for the football World Cup :D
in the end Tito won!! I really like how his individual art came out <3
since he looks older in the second drawing I like to think that the first one is him and his friends playing as kids and then him playing professionally as an adult ^ ^)/

When I wrote my piece on Sir John Tenniel for “Artists in Wonderland,” I mentioned that Tenniel had created colored versions of the illustrations he made for a special edition of the original book called “The Nursery Alice.” These are the first colored versions of the illustrations, as done by the original illustrator himself, and presumably approved by the author.
Just for the heck of it, I thought I’d share some of these colored illustrations; I’m using the same ones used in my original post with the black-and-white versions. It’s interesting to see the adjustments Tenniel made when making the colored renditions, as well as to see how these original colored interpretations compare to so many versions of the characters nowadays. You alomost never see the Queen of Hearts in a blue dress, for example, and Alice in yellow is rare. On the other hand, the Mad Hatter and March Hare, as well as the White Rabbit, look pretty similar to a lot of more contemporary interpretations in years since.
