a/n: look so i fell off the face of the earth for the past few months but i'm in school and also mentally unwell so that's my excuse. this didn't turn our the way i wanted it to but i feel like that's ok?? not quite as painful as it could've be. (also ik i need to do gold rush pt2 but ive been trying to write it and never like what i write so :/) anyway, feedback is always welcome! also request stuff! characters or songs!! (p.s. i'm obsessed with SOUR by olivia rodrigo rn so pls request songs !!)
the night bus jolted and shook you awake. it was a long journey from hogwarts, but you were finally near your own neighborhood. as you looked around, everything seemed just slightly different. you were suddenly hyper aware of the fact that you would never be in any of these places as a student, or a child, again. the old church that had at least 4 weddings every spring seemed a little faded, the park and playground where you and your mates would drink at night looked much smaller in the light of early summer.
within the playground was a swing set, which hadn't meant much to you until a year ago. after a night of singing way too loud with a group of your friends, the manager of the local pub, david, kicked the lot of you out. after a few playful swears and hand gestures to the man, you promised to be back the next night and headed across the street to sit and sober up before trying to climb back into your bedroom window. the group you were with seemed larger than usual so you linked arms with mary, a fellow witch that lived up the street from you.
"picked up a few stragglers, have we?" you asked. mary was a social butterfly, and when you didn't know someone, you could count on her to know them.
"yes! and even better, they're from school," she was careful not to name hogwarts. one of the only downsides of hanging out with muggles was having to police your conversations. "that one there is james," she said pointing at a boy in a slacks and a button down that looked like it was only tucked in a fraction of what it had been at the beginning of the night. his hair is neatly cut and he wears glasses, although they make him look young, like you can see him growing out of them in while you look at him.
"he looks like he's far from home," you laughed, the boy seemed far to sheltered to have been just thrown out of a gay bar.
"tell me about it," mary snorted, "but no he's here with the other one," she nods at another boy who looks more like the others. he has on jeans and a t-shirt that is just short enough to threaten showing his middle at any moment. his hair is dark and curly but a lot messier than james', like he had been listening to a lot of rolling stones. "he's called sirius. apparently he's staying with james this summer because his parents kicked him out. they're pure bloods, real pricks."
"you'd have to be a knob to call your kid sirius," you snickered, letting go of your friends hand and flopping onto the grass. you looked up and saw the upside-down face of sirius, "just wait until you hear my brother's name."
you feel yourself go pale and cover your face with a hand, "shit. i'm sorry," although embarrassed, you couldn't help but giggle.
he chuckled, "no, it's alright. but i your going to make fun of my name, i should at least know yours." he sat beside you, prompting you to sit up, and frantically brush the grass from your hair. "i'm y/n," you say, sticking out your hand, "and that's mary."
"hi mary," sirius give your friend a knowing smile, which confuses you. "you're both going into seventh year?"
you nodded and he continued talking for a bit. sirius seemed to be engaged in the conversation with you and mary but would look around every so often, like he was expecting something. over the course of a few minutes, he managed to refer to three family members as "dickheads," admit to a prank that had involved a charm on a library door that resulted a tidal wave dowsing whoever tried to open it, and start an argument about how the chudley cannons were so much better than the holyhead harpies. the last of which you disagreed with, hence the argument.
"come on sirius, you're not fighting about quidditch again, are you?" james sat down on mary's other side.
"i like to think of it as educating our new friends. they support the harpies, james. they need all the help they can get."
"no no, harpies are decent. they've got you there." james replied, smiling softly at mary.
"listen, y/n, do you want go on a walk?" sirius suddenly turns to you.
"um..." you're caught off guard by his forwardness, you only just met the guy.
"yeah, come on. just a short walk." he pulled you up to your feet and dragged you away.
you follow him into the middle of the street, illuminated by a dim yellow glow from a light post. "how come i've never met you at school?" he turns around to look at you, walking backwards.
"dunno, not looking hard enough i guess?" you tried to test the waters of flirting, since he tried so hard to get you alone.
"i guess not," he smiled and stuck his hands in his pockets. a silence fell over the two of you as you continued to walk, just around the block.
as you rounded the corner to the opposite side of the park from your friends you decide to speak again, "so do you just really like walks or something? this seems like something you could've done alone." you continue to follow him up to a swing set and sit down in the swing next to the one he had perched in.
"you can be kind of thick, you know?" sirius looked at you as if he had just explained a simple concept to you.
"i'm sorry?" you felt annoyed, like he was mocking you. "look, you're the one that asked to be alone with me and then go on acting like a preteen boy that's never kissed anyone."
"y/n, i wasn't trying to put the moves on you, honest. i know i can go on a walk alone, but it's a little awkward to make out with someone while their best friend's right there, innit?" he pointed across the park to where mary and james were coming up for air from a kiss, giggling.
"oh." a different kind of embarrassment washed over you. "how long has that been happening?"
"james hasn't shut up about her for about a week, but tonight was the first time he's had the guts to actually talk to her."
"right." you had a sudden wish to recall a hex that would allow you to melt into ice lolly goo and seep into the mulch at your feet. you took a chance and glanced at sirius, who was grinning at you. "please don't say anything, my ego is already bruised," you said, dropping your head again.
"i mean, i'm flattered, really," he clutched his heart, dramatically, "but if i was really trying to pull you, we would be long gone by now."
"wow, you know some people find humility endearing."
"not me. how could i be humble with a face like this?" you're unsure if your eyes have ever rolled this much before in your life.
"so your ego has also had enough attention for the evening," you laugh. there is another short silence, much less awkward than the one during your walk.
"it's a star, by the way," it's sirius who breaks it this time. "sirius is a star in canis major," you realize he's referencing to your comment about his name earlier.
"yeah, i know. brightest star in the sky, right?" night lessons in the astronomy tower hadn't prepared you for much, but it was proving helpful now.
"something like that. i agree with you though, it's a little much. my parents are kind of," he paused, "supercilious? that's not the right word. but i'm not sure there is a good word for what my parents are."
"i didn't mean to give you shit about it earlier. i actually like your name," while calling it your favorite name would be a stretch, but you felt like this was the sensitive thing to say. he couldn't change it, after all.
"thanks."
"oy!" james calls to you two. the entire group had gathered and was waving you over.
"well, i guess that's our queue," you stand up and walk back together, making small conversation on the way.
the group had gathered because it was apparently time to call it a night. everyone said their goodbyes and started walking their separate ways. you were now waiting on mary to say goodbye to james, as she was always your buddy to walk home with. once again, you're left with sirius as he waits for james.
"well, it was a pleasure to meet you y/n, i look forward to next time." he said. you rack your brain and try to remember if you had made plans to hangout again. you were drunk but not still drunk enough to have missing memories.
"next time?" you ask.
"i've already bragged about how quickly i could charm you. now i just have to prove it." you hope the light post is dim enough to hid your slight blush.
"well, then i look forward to disproving you." and with that, mary is ready and the two of you link arms once again to walk back towards your homes.

Authors Note: sorry guys for not posting a lot here ive been studying for exams and just my life is so complicated atm so forgive me i know i should post more its just all the stress ya girl sometimes gets writers block. i appreciate u guys still sticking w me reading my stuff and im glad to be posting something and feel good about it.
The different array of colored lights shone brightly as a hit pop song blasted loud through the speakers. The party everyone at school was looking forward to. Only the best out of the best was present, stuffing their faces with alcohol and booze to wash down the pain and stresses of school and life.
You were content with staying home, wanting to open a bag of chips and really experience Netflix and chill. Solo. Alone. By yourself. A lone wolf. Why in the world were you really here at this party? You were a nobody compared to all these wannabes.
You were fidgety, playing with your fingers to control your anxiety of all these people and the atmosphere. It was so unlike you. Then you remembered. The only reason you were here was because your friend - not really - needed to trade with you the history paper you lent her. She was very persistent to get you to come to her rather than drive her car to your house. You were a very simple girl, you hated teenagers - even though you are one of them - and high school. But why did you dress your best to come to something you cared so little about? You had spent a little more over ten minutes just to pick your shoes! Did this gathering really matter to you?
“Okay y/n you’re gonna go in there and swipe that paper out of her hands and go straight back home. You’re not going to look at the food, not going to be deceived into drinking and you are certainly not going to look at a boy and dance with them because you are better than that,” you spoke aloud to yourself walking up the stairs to the house, getting some cat calls and whistles sent your way. Opening the door you were greeted by a shirtless jock. He dripped with sweat or was that beer? He was dancing as if he was experiencing a seizure.
“Remember what you gotta do, y/n,” that phrase echoed in your head. You crawled past the dancing, then squeezed past the horny animals making out by the bathrooms. “Where the f*ck is she?” Your head whipped back and forth in search for your “friend.” You landed on her doing a chug contest. “Excuse me,” you would say periodically, shoving yourself beside hollering people. You stood beside her and tapped her on the shoulder. She didn’t want to mess with her chugging so she pointed on the table by the drinks. “Thanks.” The table was littered with people f*cking like they were experiencing sex for the first time. Moaning and groaning really wanting nerdy, single people - like yourself - feel very alone and really praying they would get that action tonight. You grabbed your paper having to really pull as there was an a*s cheek of a red haired cheerleader plopped on top of it. You grimaced as you pulled the paper, making note to wash your hands when you have the chance.
“Now time to go home,” your determined self wiped your jacket getting ready to depart but your e/c eyes caught sight of a delicious looking drink. It was aqua blue with chunks of who knows what fruit in there. It was placed proudly on top of the kitchen counter.
“Wipe out!” The jock screamed on the top of his lungs, sounding like an alarm.
You covered your ears, annoyed. A group of teens took their cups and splashed some of the drink inside, enjoying the taste. “Why’s its called wipe out?” You asked the jock. Curious.
The jock raised his brow, taking you in.
“Pitiful,” you thought.
“Its because, babe, there is a secret ingredient in here.” He motioned to you.
Placing your palm on his chest you pushed him away, “I swear if its your jizz, count me out.”
“Its not, unfortunately, but just try it.”
You looked down and bit your lip. You were having a full out debate in your head, going back and forth with yourself. You had to do this paper. The party side took control of you and you snatched a cup from the table and poured yourself some “Wipe out.” You were totally going to regret this later.
A boy stood beside you, filling his cup as well. You weren’t going to lie to yourself, he was a cutie. From the way his f-boy, blond hairstyle stood still with either hairspray or gel or who knows what, to his baby blue eyes. Your eyes traveled to his lips. He saw you staring and presented you with a smirk. A sexy smirk at that. You almost fainted!
“This is bad,” your eyes widened as you felt light headed. You knew you could only keep away for so long.
“Hey, I know you. You are in my bio class. You always sit up front.” No way this boy was Scott Reed. He was the talk of the school, having to be entwined with the drama of Bryce. “I’m-”
“Scott Reed. I know and I’ve seen you in class.”
“And your name is,” he pondered for a moment. “Y/n l/n.”
Oh dear. You were starting to sweat from the realization that you and Scott were on a knowing name base. That was enough to start something. Something you didn’t want to start because you didn’t know if you could finish it.
“Wow didn’t think you were into this party life.”
“I’m not,” you took a large chug of your drink and Scott’s face looked disgusted. “What?”
“You’re not supposed to drink it that fast or all of that, for that matter. Okay you may experience being very...high.”
“High?” Yep it was truly a mistake for you step foot into this party. “There were drugs in that drink?”
“...yeah?”
“Scott!”
“Okay yes there was. I think only a little. Also alcohol, of course. It may not effect you though. Each person is different.”
You were feeling already dizzy. The world spinning but in a good way. As if you were on a ride. You were overwhelmed with the feeling of happiness and you were very, terribly hungry. The overpowering, booming music was low and muffled when it traveled through your ears. You were stoned and you wanted to dance. “DaNcE wHiP mE bAbEy.” You staggered back and forth.
“You sure?” Scott asked, holding onto your arm.
“Of CoUrSsSsSsSsSsSsSsE sCoTtY mCsNoTtY. GrInD wIf mEh.”
“Alright, if you say so.” Scott and you danced in the living room.
With the shake of your hips and the pumping of your fists you felt like you were on cloud 9.
There was a sea of fans, cheering your name. “Y/n! Y/n! Y/n!”
You performed on stage. Basking in the limelight, the attention. You were a star, a performer. You sang and danced on stage with your backup dancers giving it their all. Everyone in the crowd sang along with you, knowing every word. It was perfection.
Then you threw up and blacked out.
The pounding of your head woke you up, your eyes getting adjusted to new lighting. An unfamiliar jacket was on you and you heard the engine of a car. We’re you being kidnapped? You shot up and saw Scott - the boy from earlier - sitting beside you in his car.
“You are not used to drugs,” he chuckled.
“What happened?” You laid back calm. You touched your head thinking that was going to stop the pain.
“You threw up. All over me.”
Eyes widening in horror having the knowledge that you threw up all over the cutest boy in school. That party was cursed. You covered your mouth seeing the stain on his shirt, “I am so sorry Scott. Lets go to Walmart right now, I’ll buy you a new shirt.”
Scott touched your hand to calm you down, “its fine y/n, really. How are you though?”
“Well, lets just say I’m never doing drugs,” you sighed. “I feel really bad for doing that to your shirt. I bet you wish you never met me.”
“I would never wish that. We all make mistakes and to be honest you are the good one out of all of us. Don’t worry about this. You live and learn.” Scott drove to a drug store. “Wait here.”
Waiting for what felt like hours you imagined Scott as your knight in shining armor. You were hating yourself for feeling this way about some boy but you couldn’t help but get butterflies in your stomach when you pictured his eyes, lips, face, and even his smirk in your head. He was like another drug.
Finally, Scott returned to the car and with him was a couple of bags. “I got you some medicine to help with the mess and the feeling like you’re gonna throw up every minute.”
Scott was a lifesaver!
“I got you medicine also for the pounding in your head. I also got you water and this,” he scooped up a stuffed raccoon (ik this is weird but its the first thing i can think of) placing it in your arms.
“Aww this is so cute Scott. Thank you for all of this, really I truly appreciate all you’ve done from driving me to getting me these meds. Its means a lot.”
“No problem y/n. I always wanted to accompany a beautiful lady in distress.”
“Well you picked the right one.” Nausea was the symptoms you were feeling at that moment. It was unknown to you if it was the drugs, alcohol, or Scott.
“What are you going to name the little guy?” Scott pretended to pet the fake raccoon.
You stared at the stuffed animals eyes and knew what the littler vermin would be called. “Veneno. Its means drugs in Latin.”
Scott giggled. His smile making you weak in the knees. “That’s perfect.”
“I know right-” You hurled on the floor beside his car. It was almost like a continuous cycle. You, vomit, him, help. It was compared to a endless waterfall.
“Thats it.” Scott rubbed soothing circles on your aching back. “Let it all out. I’m here for you and not going anywhere.”
Feeling very sick at that moment, you clutched his hand for support. Finishing letting the drugs exit your body, Scott handed you the water bottle. “You know, you’re one of the good ones as well,” you croaked as your throat was burning.
You drank, letting the cold liquid slide past your throat. Your eyes kept opening and closing. Throwing up takes a lot out of your body. You felt you were used as a punching bag and all you wanted to do was get some sleep.
Scott got in his car and started it. You were a fallen leaf, a wilted flower. Your head fell against Scott’s shoulder - like a dropping petal - and there you fell asleep.
“I think its time to take you home,” Scott whispered.
Starting something with Scott meant something to you. Yes, you may have gotten high at a cheap, smelly party but at least you had the pleasure of meeting a young man who cared.

THE GREAT ND REWATCH OF 2021 / OCTOBER 5, 2019 // return of josh
oooookay folks! that's a wrap! below are my comments about tonight's ep + additional expansions on previously stated opinions. i'm not combining s2 ep 1 with this bc s2 is dead to me! so is s3! i only did this to gather up all these loose thoughts i had when this show with its one lonely season became such a comfort to me that i developed a second consciousness about it. but with these posts i am done! the evil is defeated! i will carry on through the 3rd and hopefully final season of nancy drew with less emotion and better spirits. thank god.
-"talk to owen" nancy firstly thinks of talking to owen only to see what happens w the agleaca; saying goodbye comes as sorta an afterthought mirroring tiffany's possession of george. yet nancy was unable to say goodbe to owen just like w kate. knowing this reveal about kate, i wonder if this was foreshadowing that something big will be revealed about him later? unlikely but still
-nancy + the reality of broken things: 'totems' like broken sand glass sculpture (good place) to show you it's not a dream; "owen broke that" ghost trap to ground him to reality, like how she reached for her locket in the good place, lucy's charm, ace's bear ('totems' idea borrowed from inception)
-george has never been an affectionate person, even with other women- so why does pda with nick suddenly become so important?
-lots of comments about ryan + women but what about carson/kate and karen? again with the hypocritical (interestingly, there is an aspect of violence to women connected with ryan (even though that violence is not his fault); but its not like kate or karen fared well either)
-ryan feels useless- relationships with women as stated by nancy- he seeks to redeem himself by showing up where nancy goes to prove he is good to have around/necessary/needed - but now that he is attempting to act as a parent he has to break through nancy's defenses all over again- firstly she didnt really consider him any kind of threat bc he comes off as incompetent- ie bad business deals- i think i mentioned last ep, their hauntings equalize them as they both attempt to gain peace by searching for answers but now ryan has changed the terms of engagement so he's back to square one, with carson. (which is how we find them s2 cowering in ryans car stalking nancy together)
-ryan's relationship to nancy exposes an interesting layer here. so far she doesnt know about nick/george but they still hold the cards (ie george gets one over on nick's ex/"the new girl") with the revelation of ryan being nancys father, nancy gains an interesting trump card in navigating the social fallout of being nick's ex. like george would take the new spot but then nancy comes out with george's ex in a much higher category. this plays out later on in the ep when george confronts ryan. george wants to talk about "them" but ryan shows up completely focused on nancy, thus illustrating the trump
-"i thought it was whitney with another insipid question" to me this sounds like whitney took bess's advice earlier about "asking aunt diana what she wants" (only to learn it actually annoyed the hell out of diana lmaoo)
-"then you need to fight for it" this hearkens nancy earlier by asking "arent you in by virtue of dna?" the test was positive; she is a marvin just like nancy is a hudson. thats not a fact that they can change. however, diana really acts like it can be changed- and in s2 we see it does change. its interesting for bess to be told to fight to be in a family she's already in and also foiled by nancy trying to fight her way out of her own family. would like to see bess stand up to diana and say something. i mean, she exists. as much as she may want to erase bess from the family, diana cannot erase her existence
-hannah's rolled up sleeves 💙
-"previous keepers records" -from s2- were those not her parents??
-mistaken murderers- everyone incorrectly assumes lucy was murdered just as they assume the agleaca killed owen
-even if owen weren't the price, how can they pay the toll without one of the people who called? i mean if it was anything other than owen and he still died they still wouldve been fucked
-"you don't need to check, i'm not even driving!" okay and giving up the goss. cassidy is me. lmfaoooo
-wonder if this locked marvin industries box will ever come back
-UNPOPULAR OPINION: george's confrontation with ryan comes waytoo late to do anything. i think i brought this up in an earlier post. its literally just her screaming at him now. like he is clocked out moved on. you know a good time for this scene? in the claw when he comes by to "check on her". hes vulnerable, fresh from rehab. and she has a chit over him for punching bookcases/the fuckin country club deal. therewould have been a perfect time to confront ryan on what happened- "what you did to me" okay sis. you admitted ep 1 you werent in hs anymore. youre of age now. admit you fucked up. take the L to force him to swallow the bigger L. and imagine how much more powerful the scene would have been- in george's domain, literally her own office, something ryan doesnt even have because HE DOESNT DO SHIT. ryan is SO EASY to trap but nobody notices. instead they have george try to get some kind of apology out of him when hes already done with that, and only for the sake of her establishing a new relaionship to boot. imagine how much more empowered she would feel if she just got that closure for herself- because she needed it, not so she could trot straight back to nick being all proud of calling a grown man to some random estate only to scream at him in a parking lot and have accomplished nothing. 🤦🏼♀️
-i get patrice thinking nancy is lucy but yeahhhhh this isnt how dementia works 😬
-i almost cant with nance and josh. how do you save your would-be murderer? (+ lucy's best friend and brother are in jail, her mom is lost to her mentally; all she has left is nancy and ryan)
-tbh i had no idea how to spell agleaca until bess said "theres no i in agleaca!" i thought it was igleaka like 😂
-damn how george just stares at nicks hand and then gets out herself is just so sad (like she immediately rectifies it but still...)
-"curiosity" part II; nancy who comes back to the sea after her mother died in it- agleaca drawn to lucy's trauma/to agleaca, lucy died fir "love"- would nancy be willing to risk the same? // this is also one of nancy's "mirroring mom" moments: winning sea queen, going to the velvet masque, getting caught by celia, having a "chat" with everett, and "falling" off the bluffs
-the collector 🎵👌🏻
-i wonder if there's any significance to the locations/means of their deaths; nancy's is pretty straight forward in terms of where and how, but why george and nick drowning, in the truck specifically? drowning in love? idk. ace's at the claw i get, but he gets himself caught? in what precisely? what does the fish hook mean? and bess's makes the least sense- burning alive? in the marvin estate? maybe the agleaca picked the most painful death for the marvin blood relation? idk. up for debate lmk ya thoughts
and lastly:
-i remember seeing this ending for the first time and i had just been traumatized by avengers endgame and since black widow is also a redhead seeing that shit at the bottom of the cliff it was like 😰😰😰 TOO SOON
-random thoughts-
these are just things i noticed, feel free to grapple with them or take note of them for extrapolation in s3 (lord knows i wont be) they probably belonged in recaps for previous eps but i either didnt find them in my notebook or couldnt fit them in
•nancy and truth/the perception of truth: using facts to suit theories instead of creating theories to suit facts- nancy often plays with the perception of truth and the details that fall between the steps; but she is also a victim to them by people who also know how to play the game (ie Carson) ex lying about the dress (tea cups and knives, trash got picked up, bail paid 1 hr ago) her inferences can be off from what others tell her ("people always lie") but she can also come to the wrong conclusions organically (carsons trial) more willing to believe the best in others/wanting them to be innocent (think nick ep 1) but later finding out the truths hurts more so she chooses to isolate herself and avoid involving others to be spared pain
•maybe i'm dumb, but who is "mr marvin" exactly? owen? the bald guy from the funeral? this comes from the guy who takes sailboats out like ep 4ish and says "ive worked for the marvins 20 years" she compliments the ship, he says "mr marvin and i just took her out this morning" so?? who is that? plus last ep just saying cassidy and isaac are her "late husbands children" dows thet mean sebastian? like did diana marry in? i feel like it would be odd for her to so embrace the "marvin way" if she wasnt a true born marvin
•ik college becomes a more s2 topic but none of the crew have ever been to college 🤔
•nick + the relationships with people whose reputations are tarnished: tiffany with investigating the hudsons/marvins, josh with murder/attempted murder, kate and 'stealing'/lying about nancy (esp compared to her almost preternatural kindness i mentioned before), george and her mom/family's reputations --> this kind of segues into nick + the concept of believing people you love could be capable of horrific things- accidental or on purpose (see- having to tell his family what happened)
•at the beginning, nancy kind of seems to be the "i'm sorry you're upset" kind of apologist and knows it. she also doesnt usually apologize earnestly bc shes never really sorry (she always has to get what she needs first ie coins mess) and she doesnt want to lie; to me it seems she doesnt like to bother with other people bc they require certain cues/niceties that are often lies- they ask "how are you" without meaning it, they dont really want an honest response except "fine", they dont like it when you call them out on fakeness, etc/ they require apologies for their bruised feelings even if youre right (and nancy can be pretty rude/nasty if provoked- a harshness unsoftened by sympathy)
•cont'd from the good place ep- since kate apparently means nothing to nancy anymore according to last ep ("stop calling her my mother") is her policy of "always seek the truth" now null and void? this mantra is now tainted bc the person who gave it to her broke it so much. can nancy disengage w it now? does she fall from grace to be complicit in "mysteries" of her own like everyone else? does she lose some of her "god-like" holier than thou act bc she is now literally born and raised in the "darkness" of sins/ugly truths like everyone else's? (ie truth is ugly but not to nancy, until now)
•did lucy disappear because her "murder" was finally solved? or simply because her trauma was addressed- she never meant to tell anyone about her suicide plans, the twisted trauma of which was too great to contain/unable to move on due to "sin" - or unable to move on because secret of nancy's parentage still remained? "lucy never wanted me to figure out how she died" she only wanted nancy to figure out her parentage without solving the mystery, yet did lucy see/witness nancy's revelation at the claw, or with carson, or even ryan? waiting for karen/josh to know? or just vanished?
•concept of imperfect mom figures- lucy, kate, celia, victoria, even karen- who all struggle with failings
•since karen dispelled one of lucy's attempts at nancy's haunting at the garden party, is that proof she isn't haunting karen?
•the crew + needing adult help: george's possession and victoria, club busted and owen, car accident and mcginnis, thom and cipher, larkspur lane and sal, bones and john, agleaca and hannah
•everett is always sitting- at his home office, at dinner, at yacht club (wonder if that was his actor + had to do with his recasting?)

•both her dads think negatively on her "girl detective" thing but ryan sees use in it as a means to get answers, carson would never 'use' her in that way
•nancy + carson : suffering
"what about what i wanted?" + carson being imprisoned for weeks but she immediately rejects him (the DAY he gets his freedom no less) with no regard to his suffering (caused by herdiary!!) in regards to her own from this new knowledge (she does suffer a lot- "almost dying is my new normal" but still)/ the "thankless job" of parenting
•nancy + adults - connected to cop thing a few posts earlier : nancy is v precocious and smart for her age- she is "old enough" but also has trouble with the "adults" in her life- fathers, moms, karen, and cops letting her down but depends heavily on "adults" she cantrust- hannah gruen, john sander, lisbeth- highlighting her youth and occasional naiveté; nancy is unafraid to hold adults accountable for their actions (ie karen) but also loses them as allies along the way. both hannah and john are very nonthreatening and also experts in their fields, while her fathers and karen are revealed to be "just another brick in the wall" average, capable of mistakes, and not the people she expects them to be, while characters like john and hannah can only benefit nancy because either they do not mean as much to her or have no reason/nothing to gain by lying; they are purposefully shown to be small, demure, gentle, and nonthreatening as foils/opposed to karen, ryan, and josh whom she previously trusted; carson (+kate) is nonviolent as well but has the biggest betrayal which is perceived as an act of violence to her very personhood/shattering who she thought she was so she cannot be that anymore (admits truths to john "everytime i dig i hurt everyone" and hannah-agleaca) : unclear if redemption is possible for anyone :
•nancy bonds with carson over loss and then ryan over haunting. but actually, nancy rejects carson over loss bc she wanted to say goodbye and wasnt allowed to- so carson was with kate but nancy was not. nancy and ryan are more equals about haunting bc they both start around the same time and conclude together as well [nancy and ryan bond over thinking their parents conspired to kill lucy- think sitting on the floor at velvet masque] nancy is appreciated by ryan for her ability to get answers- he has no qualms about going through her/outside of police bc he wants results/instant gratification and thinks nancy is more so the expert in her field/respects her even through her age- once again acknowledging she is braver than he is (think lucy + claw parking lot) and her portent in the car freaks him out bc shes usually always in control, esp with him
•bc nancy was told "you can't be afraid of the truth" until she was / ironic bc shes braver than him except when the truth is they are related then she's scared to tell him while he actually starts to take some initiative
•nancy picked "the wrong person" to help her through her grief in her dad's eyes like her mom's best friend was somehow a better choice? carson truly "parents" nancy even during grief and haunting (which she rejects) whereas nancy and ryan are really equals in all their situations which is actually better for her and easier for her to maintain- nancy's expectations are low so anything that ryan gives is a bonus. nancy's expectations of carson were shattered by his lies so now she has nothing to connect with him about- they could barely even connect when sharing the same grief- carson actually very hypocritical hence nancy's upset at karen revelation yet carson doesn't agree bc hes the "adult" and shes the "child" not realizing she hadnt been one for a long time (hidden staircase perhaps?) whereas ryan better treats her with lack of controlling parental nature bc he is impressed with her competence before he receives that knowledge; "lucy was smarter than me too" acknowledging her intellect negates his ability to "parent" ie control her to leave him solely with caring about her wellbeing in her situations + aftermath - i honestly dont think carson would ever admit that shes smarter than him* bc he thinks shes not "all grown up" yet ("youve kept me on the bench for years"); ryan is more willing to meet her where she's at which is so important for all her good relationships - ace, owen, etc
*carson asks for nancy to figure out "who to trust" in ep 12, finally admitting that she is useful/ie acknowledging that her skills/abilities do help, are necessary, and can in fact save lives --> this is then s2 follow up by working for him (but it takes him that long)
•ryan/nancy/carson venn diagram - using sex to escape trauma
•if not carson vs ryan then what about celia and everett vs patrice (and josh)? at this point in the narrative, do you think ryan's parents would take his side should the knowledge become public (without their involvement), or deny nancy?
•"we were a family" + the disruption of family dinner- kate was really the one holding that family together and her death makes it unsustainable

AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "That's true. He has a pretty simple brain." Iris nodded, though she was obviously joking. She loved Arlo but she also knew that he wasn't the sharpest tool in the box. She thought that, that was always pretty fun when she was around him, though. Iris wasn't sure what she wanted from a relationship. Het relationship with William had been so different to the one with Lydia. And she thought that she wanted something in the middle of all of that. She just didn't know if any of that was really for her. She didn't know if what she needed was actually something she would ever find. "Not as weird as your mum and Pipers being friends! "
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Piper wished that she could be a little more like her big brother sometimes. He was so unafraid of being himself. He didn't seem to care what people said about him, or how they looked at him. It was all that she could think about most days. Her reputation, what people thought about her - it was everything. And she knew that, that was the reason that she had been so harsh to Ogie. She knew that it wasn't fair. Piper nodded her head, "oh okay." Piper nodded before she scurried after Nancy. She was definitely the outsider of her friendship group and she wished that she could be.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Oh, yeah, that's fair, then." Annie nodded her head. "That's probably what it is, you know? She doesn't want to annoy them by being seen with Ogie." She rolled her eyes. Annie was never in the in crowd but she knew how they thought. she had seen enough of them for that and she hated that Piper might have let herself be influenced by them to treat her brother like she had. "We're all a little bit like each other but yeah - I suppose so." Annie laughed. She loved that though. She thought it was a big compliment to be like her siblings or her parents. "That's fair..." she bit her tongue though. She wanted to say so much more about it but she knew it wasn't her place.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "I'll let you have it for now." Ivy shrugged her shoulders, before she laughed. She was a lot like Arlo in the sense that she usually just went along with things. She couldn't be bothered with the hassle of telling people what to do or say. She just went along with whatever happened. It was more fun for her that way, if she was completely honest. "Excellent." Ivy laughed. She happily knocked back her shot and laughed more as she saw the look on Arlos face. "That is not gross - you're gross!" She laughed as she shook her head.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Blake didn't really talk to her mum about her past relationships. The two of them were so different. She didn't see the point in talking to her about it when she knew that they would handle things completely different. She didn't want to do things the way that her mum would. She went to her Aunt Betsy if she ever needed to talk to someone about something. "Yeah, exactly." Blake smiled as she nodded her head. She shrugged her shoulders, "Just making sure. You can never be totally sure, yknow?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: People already assumed the worse of him and his family - so he just thought that he would give them it and then some. He couldn't be bothered to pretend to be something else than what he was. He didn't think it was a big deal to have his arm around her , though. They were friends. Noah tried not to think about the two of them being anything more than that. "She's probably too thick to even realise." He laughed as he shook his head. "And a jack daniels and coke for me."
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "We'd just have to make our own party if we weren't allowed here. Get everyone missing out on that." Grayson laughed as he nudged his friend. He knew that he didn't really have a clue about what he wanted for his life but he would get there - there was plenty of time to figure all of that out. "Mias gonna make her own mind up though, right?" He raised an eyebrow.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "It's all part of his charm." Lydia laughed, raising an eyebrow. She did really like Arlo and she always had - it was clear how much Iris cared about him. She was just starting to wonder if they cared about each other in a way that was more than friendship - and she didn't know if that would make her feel jealous or not. Even though she knew she and Iris shouldn't be together, it wasn't like she could just switch her feelings off. "No see, that makes way more sense to me. Piper's mum is like Piper apparently, she just did whatever people tell her to do." She laughed, shrugging her shoulders. She could definitely see why her mum and Amber had been friends.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Nancy thought that she and Piper were way more similar than people thought - she just put on a better act. Sometimes, she put it on so much that she even started to believe it herself. It was only those closest to her that knew the real her, the Nancy she was to the people she trusted. She smiled as she approached Iris and Lydia, giving them a wave as she reached them. "Hey guys! You both look gorgeous." She beamed. She had sometimes been jealous of the two when they had been together; Iris had always been her best friend, but she knew now it was totally different.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Landon nodded his head. "It wouldn't surprise me if that was it, honestly. Which is just sad, don't you think?" He couldn't imagine being so scared of your own friends that you changed your personality to fit in with them, that you lied about the people you liked so that they didn't get mad at you. That was just another difference between he and his sister - he would rather have no friends than have friends like that. "So none of you like rocking the boat, then?" He smiled curiously. He thought it was so interesting that they were all so similar. He was glad that Annie didn't really say anymore on the topic of he and his sister - he was used to people having opinions on it and it wore him out a little. He didn't think it was anybody else's business.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "You are so kind and generous, Ives." Arlo laughed, rolling his eyes. He thought that if he were a bit older, Ivy would be pretty much the perfect girlfriend - they had so much fun and that was all he ever really wanted out of a relationship. He thought she was one of the coolest girls he knew. He knocked back his second shot with another grimace, laughing as he heard her. "I am not gross! You're gross!" He laughed, sticking out his tongue childishly. "You wanna dance? I love this song and somebody's gotta get it all started." He grinned.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Wren couldn't imagine not being able to talk to his parents about the way he was feeling - they gave such different kinds of advice that it was always so valuable, it was so interesting hearing two totally different perspectives. "I know. But trust me - with me, you can be sure. I'll always be enjoying your company." He smiled. "Can I ask - why did you decide to ask me tonight? I'm sure you could've asked... Well, pretty much anybody that's ever met you." He chuckled. He thought it would be very easy to be entranced by Blake.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Mia thought the way people spoke about the Hayes was just as ridiculous as the way people spoke about the Saracens, just in totally different ways - assuming you knew people because you knew somebody they were related to at one point was just something she never understood. She laughed as he spoke, shaking her head - she was sure his date was fine, but she couldn't deny being glad that they were spending this time together instead of with their respective dates. "So, who convinced you to come? I wouldn't think a university dance would be your kind of scene." She chuckled, looking at him curiously as the bartender poured their drinks.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "We both know that any party we threw would include us both being asleep by ten." Ogie laughed, nudging his friend gently. Although Piper was still in the back of his mind, Grayson was doing a great job at cheering him up and distracting him and he was so grateful for it. "Yeah, I guess she is... Do you think you should just let people make their own mistakes or like, if you see them coming, should you warn them?" He always wanted to look out for his sisters.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Is that what he's trying to convince people?" Iris asked with a raise of an eyebrow and a laugh. Although what she was saying might sound otherwise - Iris really did think the world of Arlo. She would never take it if someone else was talking about him like she was talking about him now. Not once did she think that her feelings for the other were anything more than platonic. She didn't think that she would really want to think about it, even if she might get jealous of him giving attention to other girls. "Okay - I guess that makes more sense. God, I couldn't imagine having no back bone like Piper." She muttered as she shook her head. There was no way that Iris would let her friends dictate who she saw, that was for sure.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Piper never would've thought that she and Piper were even close to being similar. She thought that Nancy was so confident, so sure of herself. And Piper wished that she could be more like that. She wished that she could be definitive, sure of herself. But she absolutely was not. She smiled, though, as she reached the other two girl and they were greeted with a hello from Iris. "You look amazing." She nodded. She felt so plain when she was around the others. She was so jealous of them all and she knew that it wasn't exactly fair.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Annie nodded her head with a sigh. "Yeah, it's really sad. Especially for Ogie." She hated that piper wouldn't give the two of them something that would've, otherwise, made both of them very happy. She thought the two of them worked well together. She didn't understand the irony of her thinking that about Piper, when she had withdrawn from Wren because she didn't want to be hurt. "Mia less so than me or Ogie but yeah - pretty much." Annie smiled. She didn't think any of them really saw the point in causing trouble where it wasn't needed - like their parents.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Aren't you lucky to be here with me, then?" Ivy raised an eyebrow with a laugh. Like Arlo, she thought that things might be different between the two of them if they were together when they were a little older but right now - neither of them really wanted to tie themselves down to someone else. She didn't see the point. They could just have fun for a bit. She didn't think that anything else mattered. "I am absolutely not gross." Ivy laughed as she shook her head. She beamed though, as Arlo asked if she wanted to dance and she nodded her head, "Absolutely I do! Lets go."
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Blake had always been pretty sure of herself. She had, had to be. No-one ever thought of her as her mothers daughter and that was exactly how she had always liked it. Blake knew that if she wasn't sure of herself, the world would've chewed her up and spat her back out again by now. She smiled, though, as she heard Wren and shrugged her shoulders slightly. "Well, that's good to know." She raised an eyebrow at his question. Blake had thought that it was pretty obvious, but apparently she was mistaken. "Why wouldn't I ask you, Wren? One of us had to make the first move, right?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Noah never really let himself think too much on how people saw him. He was fine with how he was and he didn't think that anything else mattered. If people assumed things about him due to his family, then he thought that, that said more about them than it did about him. He didn't see the point in anything else, if he was honest. Noah shrugged his shoulders, "Didn't really need much convincing when I heard there was free booze." He laughed as he shook his head slightly.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "That is very true. But it would be a lot of fun up until then." Grayson laughed as he nodded his head. He only thought that he missed out on uni life, when it was something like this. he didn't think he would've ever done very well if he had to study as well, though. "I think maybe both? I think it depends on the person and if you thikn they'd take your opinion well or not."
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "I think so. How'd he get so goofy, anyway? His dad seems pretty chilled out and his mum is way cooler than he is." Lydia laughed, although it was obvious by the tone of her voice that she was fond of Arlo. She thought he was a good guy and an obvious product of his parents. "No, me either. It's like - sorry, but she's barely a person. Can you imagine being scared to actually speak up in front of your own friends?" She raised an eyebrow. She knew she was being harsh, but she had no patience for anybody who didn't seem to know who they were. "Hi." She smiled as the two girls came over. "You guys look great, your dates must be having heart attacks right now." She laughed. "Who did you end up coming with, Piper?" She had heard about everything going on with her and Ogie.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Nancy considered Piper one of her best friends - she would hate to think that she was scared to speak up for herself or scared to admit who she was, but she also totally understood it. She was in the same boat when it came to pretty much everybody but Iris. She loved getting to spend time around her friends, but she really wanted to see Benjamin - especially with it being New Years Eve. She was already thinking about how she could make an excuse to go over and talk to him. She smiled as Lydia complimented them, shrugging her shoulders. "I don't even know where my date is. He's like, the dumbest guy I ever met. Too many footballs to the head." She rolled her eyes, taking a sip of her drink. "Any ideas for an after party yet?" She looked over at Iris. The event ended just after midnight, but she knew that a lot of them wouldn't want to end the night so early - including her.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Hey, he's a good guy - Piper will see that." Landon nodded. He didn't always have his sisters back - mostly because he had no idea what was going on in her life so he tried to stay out of it, but he knew she was a good person. He knew she would never purposefully hurt anybody. He nodded his head as she spoke about her siblings, a smile on his face. "It's nice how similar you guys are, all of you." He wished he was a little more similar to the rest of his family. He thought things might be easier if he was. "So anyway - you look lovely tonight, Ann. Any ideas who you'll be spending midnight with?" He laughed teasingly.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Hey, I think I've made it clear how lucky I know I am." Arlo grinned, rolling his eyes playfully. He genuinely thought that if he and Ivy were older, if they were at a point in their lives where they were ready to settle down, then she would be the ideal girl for him - but he wasn't anywhere near ready for that yet. He wanted to be older when he settled down and got married, like his parents had been. "See, look! You're all hurt because I called you gross, well! That's exactly how you made me feel!" He laughed, pretending to be hurt by what she was saying. "Perfect." He smiled as Ivy agreed to dance with him, taking her hand and leading the way to the dance floor. He was never shy about anything like this and he didn't see the need to be - he liked to have fun and he thought once somebody started, everybody would start dancing soon.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: From everything that Wren had heard and seen of Maggie, he couldn't imagine anybody more opposite than Blake - and he couldn't help but admire her for that. For being absolutely her own person. He thought that was rare to find among people around their ages. He smiled as she answered his question - he was surprised by her honesty, but he liked it. "Hey, I would've done - eventually." He chuckled, shaking his head. "But I agree. One of us had to. I'm really glad you did." Blake's confidence was one of his favourite things about her.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Mia laughed as Noah spoke, nodding her head. "Okay well, that makes a lot more sense. But wouldn't anywhere you went have free booze on New Years Eve?" She smiled, raising an eyebrow. New Years Eve was probably one of her favourite nights of the year - she liked the idea of a fresh start, of going into a new year surrounded by the people that you loved. She usually spent it with her family and she knew their parents had been at least a little sad that the three of them had decided to come here tonight. "Thank you!" She smiled as the barman handed over their drinks, taking them from him and handing Noah's over. "Kind of weird that it ends at midnight, though." She shrugged her shoulders. She knew somebody would come up with something for them all to do after.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Oh yeah - the best two hours of anybody's life, ever." Ogie laughed, nodding his head. He didn't really care that he and Grayson weren't as wild as some of the people around them; he was who he was and he didn't think he could change that even if he wanted to. As much as he thought university looked like fun, he had no idea what he would've even studied - he was so happy just working and getting by. "Yeah, I think you're right... Some people just wouldn't want to hear it, you know?" He shrugged his shoulders. He thought his sister was probably one of them.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Maeve often felt out of place at events like this, but especially tonight - there was nobody else here from her university and her friends all seemed pretty occupied with each other. She didn't blame them, but she wasn't really sure what to do with herself. She'd gotten herself a drink and gone to sit in the corner by herself for a while, just observing the people around her - until she'd noticed somebody else on their own, raising an eyebrow as she saw that it was Tobias. She'd never usually be able to persuade herself to go over, but after the conversation they'd had at the last party, part of her just wanted to talk to him. She took a breath and stood up, walking over. "What are you doing, standing all by yourself?" She raised an eyebrow/
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "That's a fair point actually.." Iris laughed as she shrugged her shoulders - trying to think about the adults in Arlos life. "I actually have no idea, you know? I can't think of anyone." The only adult slightly like that was her uncle Milo but she didn't think that Arlo was around him all that often. Iris nodded her head as she listened to Lydia. She loved Piper but she didn't really understand her very much. She thought that it didn't really make sense that she wouldn't be able to talk to her or Nancy. "Then why on earth did you bother coming with him?" Iris asked with a raise of an eyebrow. she absolutely would not let her friends influence the people that she was with - not that anyone would bat an eyelid to her being with Lydia. "Not yet. But i'm sure that we'll come up with something. Do you have any ideas?" She asked Lydia.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Piper wasn't sure what would happen if she said something to Nancy about Ogie. Sometimes, she thought that her friend understood. She thought that Nancy would maybe have her back. And then other times - she thought that Nancy would just laugh at her, would call her stupid like their other friends did. "Thank you." Piper smiled at Lydia complimented her. She was absolutely intimidated by the other girl. She didn't like to be, though. Piper couldn't understand how Iris and Nancy were so sure of themselves. She wished that she could be a little more like that. "Oh, er - Matty Henderson. Do you know him?
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "I don't doubt that she sees it. It's just if that's important to her or not." Annie shrugged her shoulders. From everything that Annie had gathered, Landon and Piper were very different but if the girl had half of the kindness that her brother had, she knew that she would see the good in Ogie. She just didn't think the other would be brave enough to admit that and she hated it. "We're different enough to not get on each others nerves though. My granddad and dad are like, the complete same person. It's pretty funny to see them together." Annie laughed. She shrugged her shoulders, though, as Landon asked who she would be with at midnight. "I honestly have no idea. I'll probably be on my own. Do you have your eye on anyone?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "I know .I'm just reminding you." Ivy shrugged her shoulders. She was pretty sure that she never wanted to get married - and she wasn't sure if she wanted kids or not. Right now, Ivy couldn't think of anything worse. The idea of someone - or something - tying her down was terrifying to Ivy and it was the last thing she thought that she ever wanted. Ivy shrugged her shoulders, "Then I think it's time that we both grew a thicker skin, don't you?" she asked with a raise of an eyebrow and a laugh. She smiled as he took her hand. She was quite happy to be spending time with him, to get to dance with him. Spending time with Arlo was always pretty fun, she thought.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Although she knew that it was going to be a long way away, Blake wasn't sure what his parents would make of her if she ever met them. She had heard everything with Wrens dad and how his mum had treated hers. She just hoped that nothing her mother did would reflect badly on her. Blake laughed as Wren spoke and nodded her head. "Eventually is the key word there." she nudged him. She liked that he seemed to like that, though. "Good. Because we're going to have an excellent night." She nodded her head.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Noah shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know of any bars that have free booze, do you?" He asked with a raise of an eyebrow. If he wasn't at the party, he wouldn't be celebrating with his family, he didn't think. He didn't spend much time with his mum and dad - especially since the fight they had, had over Arlo. New Years seemed like a waste to him. It was all so much - and it nearly always seemed like a let down. "Thanks." Noah muttered as he nodded his head and took the drink from Mia. "Yeah but if I know Nancy and Iris, they're already planning something."
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Yeah, exactly. So it would be well worth it!" Grayson laughed and nodded. Really, Gray knew how lucky he was to have someone like Ogie in his life. Ogie was his best friend and would be for his entire life - like his parents were - and it made him so, so happy. "That's it." Gray nodded, "I guess it just depends. I'd tell you anything but I don't think either of our sisters would like to hear that we didn't agree with something they were doing - Annie would maybe listen." He shrugged his shoulders. He had no idea what Ogie was getting at.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Tobias often liked spending a minute or two on his own at a party. It was nice to stand back and watch everyone messing about, having fun. It never lasted long. He knew too many people for that - but it was nice. Even just for a little while. He smiled, despite himself, when Maeve came over to him. He shrugged his shoulders at her question and took a quick sip of his drink before he spoke. "People watching. It's pretty fun at something like this, you know?" He raised an eyebrow. "I thought you came with those two?" He muttered, nodding to Ogie and Grayson.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Lydia laughed, nodding her head. "I thought as much." She thought it was pretty sweet that Arlo was so goofy, though - it had its own kind of charm, although it was still annoying as hell more often than not. She raised an eyebrow as Piper told her the name of her date, wracking her brains. "I've heard the name, yeah. So you didn't want to come with Ogie, then?" She shrugged. She smirked slightly as she turned back to Iris, nodding her head. "I have a few. I'm keeping them a surprise for now." She laughed. She absolutely wasn't going home without an after party.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Because he asked me." Nancy answered with a shrug of her shoulders - it was that simple, really and she wasn't going to pretend otherwise. She didn't want to be there with her date and she didn't see the point in acting like she did. She took out her phone and raised an eyebrow. "I just have to text my mum back." She lied, before she sent Ben a message and asked if he was still around at the dance. She really hoped he was; she wanted to find a way of spending time with him. They saw each other quite a lot now and it was weird to be here and not talking to him.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Landon nodded his head. "Yeah, I get that." He thought - or rather, hoped - that kindness and goodness would be something that was important to his sister, but he understood that she was at a point where different things affected her priorities. "That's definitely important. It would be hard to live with somebody who was the exact same as you." He raised an eyebrow. "Do they fight, then? Your dad and granddad?" He was always curious about Annie's family. "Absolutely not. I always find that kind of thing super awkward." He laughed.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "I promise you don't need to." Arlo laughed, shaking his head. He thought Ivy was gorgeous - she was his type to a T and he would tell anybody that. He didn't realise who else that applied to, though - although he was thinking about Iris quite a lot. He missed her and wanted to spend time with her, but he didn't want to interrupt her and Lydia. "I think I'd have to agree. But don't go insulting me too much once I've got my new thick skin, I won't stand for it." He grinned, spinning her around as they reached the dance floor.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Wren didn't doubt that his dad would love Blake if he were to meet her, but he did worry a little bit about his mum - even years on, Maggie was still a sore spot for her and although usually he found it sweet that she still got jealous after all this time, he wouldn't want Blake to feel uncomfortable because of it. "I'm a very practical guy, I usually like to know what's going to happen." He smiled, shrugging his shoulders. He was usually a planner, but with Blake all of that seemed to go out of the window. "I am absolutely sure that we will."
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "I meant parties, not bars." Mia laughed, shaking her head. "But it doesn't matter anyway, because we found one that does." She smiled. She was really glad she'd chosen to go to the party - especially since she now had no idea where her 'date' had gone and she was getting to spend time with Noah. Her smile widened as he spoke about his sister and her cousin planning something, nodding her head. "That was what I was hoping for." She laughed excitedly. She definitely didn't want to be going home straight after this.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Ogie knew he was lucky to have the friends he had - especially Grayson. Their dads had been best friends and although he often felt a lot of pressure to be just like his dad, Grayson was truly his best friend no matter what. He wasn't really sure what he was getting at - he just worried about his sisters, especially since they were getting involved with people in their circle. Or they seemed to be, at least. "Annie would always listen." He agreed with a smile, nodding his head.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Maeve laughed as Tobias spoke, nodding her head. "Yeah, it is." She often liked to people watch - she found it so interesting to see how they behaved at things like this, what they wanted people to think of them. "I did. But they're busy, Ogie has some stuff going on... So I stepped away for a bit. Did some people watching." She smiled, raising an eyebrow. She wasn't sure what it was that had drawn her to Tobias, but something had.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Although she would never actually admit it, there wasn't a single thing that Iris would change about Arlo. He was her best friend and she loved him so much, more than she would ever be able to admit. Iris laughed as she listened to Nancy and shrugged her shoulders. "Which means you obviously had to go with him, right?" She didn't get that. If she hadn't agreed to go with Lydia, Iris would've just gone on her own. She didn't see the point in going with someone that you weren't interested in. "I'm sure that you do. I trust you though so it's alright." She laughed.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Piper raised an eyebrow as Lydia questioned her on Ogie and she wasn't really sure what to say. She shook her head with a sigh, "Er. No. My - I thought - He's more fitting I guess." She shrugged her shoulders. She didn't know if it really made sense but she wasn't going to say that. She wished that she could have a better answer to that question though.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Ben hadn't been expecting to get a text from Nancy but that didn't mean that he wasn't happy about it. He had been wanting to talk to her but he thought that if she wanted to speak to him, she would've done. He had stepped outside for a little bit of fresh air when he got her text and replied to tell her where he was. He didn't know if that would mean he would get to see her but he was excited about the idea of it anyway.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Oh. no." Annie laughed. "I don't think I've ever seen them argue. They're basically attached to the hip." She loved the relationship that her dad and granddad had and while she wasn't as close to either of her parents as the two of them were with one another, she thought that it was nice that her dad had that kind of relationship. she sometimes wondered if it was because of her grandmother. "Well - How about if neither of us have anyone- I can be your New Years kiss?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Just making sure that you know how lucky you are." Ivy shrugged her shoulders, but she smiled at him. Sometimes, Ivy thought that people found her pretty annoying but never when she was around Arlo. She had no idea that he was thinking about Iris though. She wasn't sure how she would feel if she did know, though. "I'll try not to. But who knows. It might be pretty difficult to resist, you know?" She laughed as she raised an eyebrow. She laughed even louder as Arlo spun her.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Blake knew that her mum would love Wren. She was pretty sure that her dad would like him too. She thought that was getting a little ahead of herself though - especially since she wasn't sure how things were going with him and Annie. She wondered if she was just a filler whilst he figured all of that out. She didn't like that thought and she didn't think it was something Wren would do, really. "So you didn't think I would say yes if you asked me?" She asked with a raise of an eyebrow. She thought that, that was pretty interesting, if she was honest.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Oh yeah, they'd have been plenty." Noah nodded his head with a laugh. If he was honest, he had only gone to the uni party so he could see the New Year in with his sister but he didn't think that, that needed to be said. "Yeah exactly. So we're pretty lucky, huh?" He laughed as he raised an eyebrow. Noah was enjoying talking to Mia - not that he would actually admit that out loud. "So we'll just have to wait and see." He smiled.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Grayson was pretty sure that he would still be best friends with Ogie even if their parents weren't friends. They would've gone to the same school and be friends through that. he knew it. "Is it Annie that you're worried about?" He asked as he raised an eyebrow. He didn't think it would be and he didn't know if Ogie would say whatever was going on in his brain but he wanted his friend to know that he would be there if he wanted to talk about it.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Tobias was a pretty popular person and he thought that it was that which caused his fascination with being on his own, with people watching. He rarely got a moment to himself, so he cherished it when he did. "With Piper?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. He was pretty sure that he had heard about the two of them together but he wasn't sure. "You look nice though, Maeve."
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "That sounds like a recipe for the worst date possible, are you kidding, Nancy?" Iris asked with a raise of an eyebrow and a laugh. She was a cheerleader in High School but honestly, she thought that the footballers were probably the dumbest people that she had ever met. And bringing them as a date here was absolutely the last thing that she would want to do. Iris narrowed her eyes before she nodded her head. "Alright. Whatever. Talk to you later." She was definitely going to say something to Nancy about this later - but right now wasn't the time, she didn't think.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Piper nodded her head as Lydia questioned her. "Yeah. I mean - my friends seem to think that me and Ogie aren't --" She shrugged her shoulders, not really sure how to finish that sentence. She wished that she could've done something to block them out, to ignore them. She hated that she had let them all get to her as much as they had. The longer the night went on, the more annoyed she got about it all, that she had let them get to her at all. She thought that she and Ogie could have something good and she had let them ruin it - like an idiot. "I'm sure you'll come up with something that's absolutely perfect."
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Annie nodded her head with a laugh, "Yeah. Definitely. I dunno though- I think the older ones are a lot closer because they lost my grandmother." She wished more than anything, that she could've met her nana. She thought that things might be very different now if she hadn't died when she had. She didn't know how though, exactly. Annie shrugged her shoulders as Landon spoke, "Yeah, exactly." She laughed. "Don't think that it was me coming on to you." She nudged him with another laugh. Annie really enjoyed spending time with Landon but she was almost certain that she and Landon were friends only.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Ivy wondered what people thought about her most of the time - but she didn't think that, that was something she really cared about. She was who she was. Her mother had always taught her to be who she was, no matter what. That was all that she ever wanted to be. She thought it was the most important thing. "That's one of the reasons you like me so much, right?" She raise and eyebrow and laughed as the two of them continued to dance. "Of course not! not new year new me, anyway. You'd miss my crazy." She laughed. "I haven't really thought about any resolutions. Have you?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Blake thought that it was a pretty serious step because she knew what her mother would be like. She was pretty sure that her mum would start planning the wedding or something insane. It was why she had never introduced her to anyone she had been with before. "You can't live your life like that!" Blake laughed as she shook her head. "Imagine some of the things that you would miss out on if you don't ask someone unless you know for sure what people are going to say?" She wasn't the most adventurous person in the world - but she absolutely took risks when it was called for.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Yeah, well, don't tell her this - but half the reason I'm here is because of Nancy. So i can see it in with her." Noah shrugged his shoulders. He had a pretty tough exterior for most of the time and it was mostly true. Nancy was the only chink in his armour. At least what he let people see, anyway. He was looking forward to tonight though, he thought that they were all going to have a lot of fun.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "To me, yes you are." Grayson laughed as he nodded his head. He had known Ogie for long enough that he thought nothing could get past him. He hoped that his friend knew that he would always be there for him, he would always listen to him. He nodded as he listened to his friend, glad that the other was able to confide in him. "Annies had a hard couple of years, huh?" He didn't think that Wren would do something to hurt anyone - at least not purposely - But he didn't know where this stood in all of that. "And Mia knows how to look after herself, you know? I don't think Noah is as bad as he says he is." Gray shrugged his shoulders.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: The only person that Tobias knew he could stand being around all of the time, was Lydia. The two of them didn't have to talk, they didn't have to do anything. He liked the silence that was between him and his sister. He didn't get that with his friends. "I'm on the same football team as some of her friends. we've known each other for years." He shrugged his shoulders. he thought that, that was pretty obvious. Tobias knew that he would never have complimented Maeve like that if they were around the others - but that didn't mean he didn't mean it.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Nancy laughed as she heard Iris whilst she was walking away, shrugging her shoulders. She just hoped that her friend would forget to question her on it later, because she wasn't really sure what she would say. She smiled as she looked down at her phone to check where Ben had said he was again, heading out to the back and peering around the door. "Hi." She smiled softly as she stepped outside, wrapping her arms around herself as the cold air hit her. She was so happy to see him, so happy that he was here. "What are you doing out here?" She was glad he was, though. Glad they got a little bit of privacy, at least.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Lydia found it hard to understand why somebody would let the opinions of their friends influence the way they lived their lives and let them make decisions they weren't really happy with - there were hardly any people in the world important enough to her to change her mind once she was set on something. "Weird. It seemed like you liked him." She shrugged her shoulders. "Of course we will." She smiled, raising an eyebrow. She thought that if they really couldn't think of anything else, she'd just invite everybody back to her family home - it was certainly big enough and they'd had some great parties there over the years.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Landon nodded his head. "Yeah, I think that makes sense. A big loss always changes things a bit, doesn't it?" He was lucky enough to not have lost anybody really close to him so far, but he could only imagine how much it hurt - whether you were close to your family or not. He let out a loud laugh as she spoke, nodding his head. "No, don't worry, I get it - it's strictly a sympathy kiss and nothing else." He smiled teasingly. He thought Annie was lovely, but he couldn't ever imagine them being more than friends - they just didn't have that kind of relationship. He felt lucky to have her as a friend.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Arlo thought he was really lucky to have the parents he did - because he absolutely had his mothers confidence, but his fathers security and if ever anything did shake him, he knew he could talk to his parents about it. He trusted them with pretty much anything, which he thought was rare for someone his age. "What, because you're a menace? I think that actually probably is part of it." He laughed, nodding his head. He loved how carefree Ivy was. "I would, I'm glad you're not changing for the new year. Me? Nah, I'm too cool to change." He laughed jokingly, striking a pose. "I mean, I guess I should probably make a resolution to start turning up to class on time... But that's all."

He probably wasn't as cautious as he was saying - a lot of the reason why he'd hesitated on asking Blake to the dance was because he hadn't been sure what was going on with he and Annie, but he wasn't about to say that to her now. It didn't mean that he didn't want to be there with her, that she was a second choice or anything similar - his attention was all on her tonight. "You're right - you should be my life coach or something like that." He smiled, raising an eyebrow. "You can make my decisions from now on." He chuckled, nudging her gently.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Mia smiled as Noah spoke, raising an eyebrow slightly - she thought it was really nice how close he and his sister seemed, especially because he didn't seem massively close to either of his parents. "That's really nice - I bet she's happy about it." She smiled. She was really happy that her siblings were there, so she imagined it was the same. "Do you usually spend it together?" She asked. She checked the time on her phone, smiling a little as she saw how much time had passed whilst they'd been talking. "Okay, it's nearly eleven and I'm nowhere near drunk enough to bring in a new year. Shots?" She smiled.

Grayson was his best friend, he thought it was natural for him to be able to read him like a book after all of these years. He nodded his head. "Yeah, the hardest... I dunno. I just thought it was nice to see her finally maybe moving on, but - now he's here with somebody else." He frowned. He didn't know what to do about it. He shrugged his shoulders as Grayson spoke about Mia. "I hope she does, but I'm not so sure..." He thought that she was tough, but trusting. And he was scared of that.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Although Maeve paid attention to people, she didn't often remember what friendship groups people belonged to - she looked at them as people and it didn't often occur to her who knew each other and who didn't. She found it interesting that Piper and Tobias knew each other, though - they seemed very different to her. "Well, yeah - I think he's quite cut up over her." She raised an eyebrow. She didn't know how much she was supposed to say, but she didn't think that little bit of information was too bad.

AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Iris liked being the person that people went to if they wanted to do something fun. And she thought that Lydia was almost the perfect partner in crime. She thought that anyone who knew the two of them well enough, would know that they would always make things pretty fun. She chuckled as she heard what Piper and Lydia were talking about. She thought that Piper was being stupid with all of that. Yes, he wasn't exactly someone that her friends would've put Piper with but she didn't think that, that should matter. She was looking across the room when she saw Arlo and Ivy dancing together. She huffed and rolled her eyes. She told herself that it was because he hadn't spoke to her yet but she wasn't completely sure if that was the true reason.

AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Piper just really didn't want to rock the boat. She didn't want to do something that would upset her friends. And the way they had spoke to her about Ogie made her feel like it was something that was going to upset them. She just didn't want to rock the boat. "I did." Piper shrugged her shoulders. She wished that she didn't let what they had all said get to her as much as it did but she knew that there wasn't much that she could do about that. She smiled, though, as Lydia spoke about the after party. "Any ideas?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Annie nodded, "yeah, exactly. It's bound to be hard for anyone, you know?" She raised an eyebrow. She hadn't known her nana, so it didn't really effect her life all that much. But she knew that it had changed a lot for her dad and his siblings and that made her sad for them. Annie laughed before she nodded her head. "Yeah, exactly. Something tells me that you and I would not work well together." She loved landon as a friend but she couldn't imagine the two of them as anything more than that. They said that opposites attract but she didn't see how.

People like Annie were a mystery to her. she didn't understand why you always had to be realistic and careful about how the world was. She thought it was much more interesting the way that she was. "Yeah, I know it is." Ivy laughed as she nodded her head. "Oh yeah - of course you are." Ivy rolled her eye but she thought that it was pretty obvious that she was just joking with him. "I don't see the point in resolutions, you know? Why do you need a new year to change something about yourself?"

She thought that she would've respected him a little more if he just said that, that was the reason why he hadn't asked her in the first place. Blake shrugged her shoulders with a laugh as Wren spoke. "Maybe that's my back up career? If performing doesn't cut it." She chuckled. She hadn't thought about anything she was going to do, if she didn't make it as a performer. "But sure. I can make your decisions for you."

It was just how the two of them always were. "Dunno .Maybe not. I don't even know where she is so that's an issue" He chuckled. Mostly, he was just kidding though. He didn't think that he would really do anything about it if she was spending time with someone that he didn't like. "Yeah, usually. That's about the only thing I have a tradition with you know?" He raised an eyebrow as she said what time it was. "Oh shit, yeah. Definitely."

They knew each others minds and it was nice. It was a lot of fun. "They might not be together though, you know? They could just be friends." He shrugged his shoulders. It didn't really look like they were just friends but he wasn't sure what else he could say. "We'll see, right?"

It made sense that they would spend time together sometimes. "I don't fucking get that." He muttered as he shook his head slightly. "She liked him as fas as I was concerned." That was definitely what it seemed like to him anyway. He didn't understand why she would cut things off like she had.

The two of them didn't really spend much time together outside of the house and he got it - her friends were her friends and things were still so new so he didn't think that it was that big of a deal. Really, Ben just liked being around her. He smiled though, as he heard her voice. "Hey." He chuckled as he looked over to her. "I just thought I needed a bit of fresh air, before the crazy starts." He chuckled as he shrugged his shoulders.

Grow some balls and actually enjoy your night." She laughed. She wasn't even trying to be mean, it was just genuinely the advice she thought Piper needed. "Do some shots or something. Loosen up a bit." She raised an eyebrow. "Oh, you should be... This is going to be the best new year yet." She smiled. She definitely wanted to find her brother at some point, to see what he was getting up to.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Landon couldn't help but laugh as Annie spoke about making somebody jealous - the only person he'd even noticed at the dance besides Annie was Blake and he didn't think she'd even have a reason to look at him tonight. Wren was quite obviously occupying her attention, but Landon thought she was gorgeous. "What about you, though? Is that why you're doing this? To get the jealousy flowing?" He laughed softly. He knew Annie better than to really think that, though.

He shrugged his shoulders. He thought it was just stupid to think that you could change something about yourself without really wanting to. He couldn't help but look over to Iris as he danced, wanting to see what she was up to - he thought it was normal to be interested in what your best friend was doing, it was nothing more than that. That was what he kept telling himself.

But he didn't think anything was going to come of it, not when she had pretty much ignored him since they'd kissed. He wasn't going to pass up on the opportunity for something really great with Blake because of that. "I don't think you could fail even if you tried. You're too passionate." He smiled, nodding his head. "What's your latest project, then?"
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Mia understood what it was like to know you'd do absolutely anything for your siblings - she didn't think there was any hurdle she wouldn't jump over to help her sisters or her brother and it was nice to see that reflected in somebody else. "Oh, so many. Downing your drink when it turns midnight. She smiled as their shots were passed over and held hers up to clink it against Noah's.

He knew that both Annie and Mia loved living with their friends, but he missed having them at home - he didn't like being the oldest one in the house. "Hey, wait a second! Who are you gonna kiss at midnight?!" He asked with a laugh, suddenly realising that it was only an hour to go until the new year officially began. Ogie didn't mind not having anybody to kiss though, he was mostly joking when he asked his friend.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Maeve raised an eyebrow as Tobias spoke; she knew he probably hadn't meant to hurt her feelings, but it still wasn't exactly a nice thing to hear - even though it was true. "Right." She said quietly, nodding her head. She didn't think she would ever want to be popular, not if it meant having to compromise who you were to fit in. "They're both annoying, but that's what makes them who they are. Maybe they'd be able to balance each other out." She laughed, shrugging her shoulders. She thought that they could really work, if Piper let them.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Nancy laughed, nodding her head. "You're right, it's not even nearly started. Iris and Lydia are trying to plan what we can all do afterwards." She smiled, raising an eyebrow. She knew that whatever they came up with, it would be something fun and she couldn't wait to find out. She sighed slightly as Ben spoke - she knew it probably seemed weird, but she just wanted to be able to show him why she wanted the arrangement like this for now. "Of course I did. Didn't you want to see me?" She raised an eyebrow.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Piper bit her lip, trying to stop herself from crying. She was too sensitive, she knew that. And she was pretty sure that Lydia wasn't saying any of this to upset her. "I am enjoying my night already." She shrugged her shoulders. it was a lie but she didn't think that she wanted Lydia to know that. "I'm not good on too much alcohol." She laughed. Piper had only ever gotten off of her face drunk a few times - and she was such a lightweight that even a couple of shots could get her to that place. But she didn't think that she would say no if Lydia decided to join her.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Annie smiled as Landon laughed. She was glad that he took it as a joke, like she had intended. She laughed, though, as he turned the question to her and shook her head. "Oh, god no." She sighed as she looked over at Wren. "He's better off with her anyway." She shrugged her shoulders. Annie knew that she probably owed Wren a conversation but it was difficult. She wasn't afraid to be vulnerable but she was really trying to get past everything with her boyfriend - she just didn't know how to do it and she didn't know how to explain it.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "I can be deep!" Ivy laughed. It wasn't often the two of them would have a conversation like this but she was enjoying it. "Oh yeah, no. They absolutely don't. it seems like such a waste of time to me." Ivy also thought that wanting to change yourself was also really, really stupid. You should be happy with the person that you were. Though she knew that it wasn't all that easy for people.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Iris had stayed by Lydia while she and Piper spoke but she didn't really see the point in chiming in. Ogie was her cousin and she didn't really like the way that Piper was treating him. She would never understand it herself but she understood where Piper was coming from though. She just thought it was better to not comment at all. She obviously noticed Arlo and Ivy dancing and she was trying to do anything she could to not look at the two of them. It was annoying her that they were at a party and Arlo hadn't spoke to her yet.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Blake would always like to know where it was that she stood with people but she wasn't going to do something that made Wren feel like things were going too far, too quickly. She was just happy to see how things went between the two of them. She was looking forward to it, though. "Well, yeah. I'm hoping so." Blake nodded her head. She would do anything to make sure that she made it up on the stage. "We're currently working towards West Side Story." She smiled. "It's so much fun."
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Noah wondered if it was his relationship with his parents that made him cling to Nancy a little more. He cared about her so much because he was never that close to his parents - his relationship with his dad had only ever gotten worse since Elias had died. "What the fuck?" Noah laughed as he listened to Mias traditions. He had never even heard the second one but he found it nice that her family would have stuff like that to do together. "Excellent." He nodded as he took his shot and quickly knocked it back.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "But you'll move out soon, right?" Grayson asked. He thought that he was getting ready to move out and he hoped that he would be able to do that with Ogie. He really wanted to be able to live with someone that he trusted. Grayson laughed as Ogie spoke and he shrugged his shoulders, "You, probably." He laughed as he nudged his friend. He didn't think that anyone else would really care.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Tobias really didn't mean to upset or hurt Maeve. Like his sister, he was sometimes a little misguided with the things he said and he didn't realise how it could be taken by others. He didn't even pick up that she wasn't exactly happy about what he had said. "I guess so." Toby shrugged his shoulders with a laugh. "It'll be a nightmare for the rest of us though. I'm standing by that." He smiled at her. Toby didn't really know what it was about Maeve but he really liked talking to her.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Benjamin nodded his head slightly as Nancy spoke, "Do you have any idea what the two of them are going to be planning?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. He was pretty sure that whatever the two girls came up with, it was going to be mad and he was excited about that. Benjamin nodded his head slightly as Nancy spoke. It wasn't that he didn't believe her - and he really was fine with what they had going on - but if she did miss him like she said, he didn't get why she didn't just decide to go public. "Yeah, you know I did."

Lydia was about to ask if Piper was going to cry, but she trailed off as she realised that she almost definitely was... and she was not ready to deal with that yet. She was nowhere near drunk enough. "Yeah, the tears in your eyes are ones of enjoyment, right?" She raised an eyebrow. "Come on, you need sambuca." She shrugged her shoulders, leading the way to the bar. Whenever Lydia felt sad, she just tried to forget about it and she thought that might help Piper a bit tonight.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Landon was surprised that Annie said Wren was better off with Blake - he couldn't understand why. He thought Annie was one of the best people he knew and from what he'd seen, Wren had seemed to really like her. "Why would you think that?" He asked. There was no judgement in his voice, but a lot of curiosity.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Since when?!" Arlo laughed, shaking his head. He didn't think he and Ivy had ever had a deep conversation, this was definitely one of the first and he found that funny. He couldn't help it. He couldn't help but notice that Iris was just stood by not doing anything and even though she wasn't looking directly looking at them, he thought she'd seen them. He wondered if she was bothered and he wondered how he would feel if she was. He chewed on his lip for a second. "You wanna go and get us some drinks? I'm just gonna go and say hi to Iris, I haven't seen her all night." He smiled.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Wren really liked how much he and Blake had in common - seeing the passion he felt reflected in somebody else definitely attracted him to them and he liked having somebody who understood the industry like he did. "Oh wow, I love West Side Story - what a classic." He smiled, shaking his head. "Who are you playing?" He thought she would be incredible as just about everybody, so he was definitely interested in finding out who.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Mia laughed loudly at Noah's reaction to their traditions, shrugging her shoulders. "You know my family, are you really shocked by anything they do?" She raised an eyebrow. "I definitely don't want to be in the hospital tonight though, so if they try to force the grapes down my neck, I'm refusing." She chuckled. She knocked back her own shot and took a sip of her drink to chase it down, shaking her head slightly.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "I mean, sure! Eventually." Ogie laughed, shrugging his shoulders. He was in no rush to move out, although he knew other people his age were - he liked living at home, he liked being around his family and he liked his room. He knew he would move out eventually, but right now he was happy where he was. He loved the idea of living with Grayson, though. "Me?! How do you know I don't have somebody to kiss me already?" He laughed, although - of course - he didn't.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Maeve didn't necessarily feel hurt by what Tobias was saying, she wasn't sure why it made her feel a bit rubbish... But it did. For some reason, she actually cared about what he thought of her and she was surprised to realise that. "I would absolutely agree with you on that one. Although they might use up all their annoying on each other and just be quiet when they're around other people." She laughed quietly, shrugging her shoulders.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Lydia said something about potentially knowing where the key to the swimming pool was..." Nancy laughed, raising an eyebrow. "Have you seen the pool here? It's huge and there's loads of space around it, it's all lit up on a night." She thought it would be a pretty fun idea if she was honest and as long as they left it how they found it, nobody would get into trouble. "Okay, good." She smiled, reaching out to take his hand. She really liked being out here with him, away from everybody.

AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Piper shook her head as Lydia spoke again - already guessing what the other was going to ask. She hated being such an emotional person. Piper really, really tried to not let herself get like this but it was difficult. She was so much like her mother and this was one of the only times when she wished that she wasn't. Piper raised an eyebrow as Lydia suggested getting Sambuca but she nodded her head. She didn't want to say no and she thought that, that was what new year was about. "Maybe two." Piper chuckled, attempting to lighten the situation.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Annie really, really hoped that Wren would be happy but she didn't think that it would be any time soon that she would be okay for that. she so wanted to be and she wished that she could make something work but she felt so bad for it. Annie didn't know if it was something she would ever be over. "I just have a lot of stuff I need to work through. I don't - I can't give anything to anything right now." She shook her head.

SHe wasn't the most serious of person around though, she knew that but she could be when it was needed - or when the mood took her and she thought that right now was one of those times. She raised an eyebrow as he said about getting drinks and nodded her head, "Yeah, yeah. Sure." she smiled. She wouldn't say anything. she didn't think that it was particularly unfair that he would want to talk to Iris - she just thought that they were having fun. "I'll get some shots too." Ivy laughed, heading towards the bar.

Passion was definitely something that was the biggest attraction for her and Wren had passion in buckets. "Right? You can't go wrong." She laughed as she nodded her head. "I'm not. I'm ensemble. It's my first year. Some of the older ones go the bigger parts." She shrugged her shoulders. She didn't mind. She was having fun with it anyway.

He sometimes couldn't believe that there were people like the Saracens. They were absolutely insane and he thought that they could be fun to be around - in small doses of course. "I do not blame you. You won't be home any time by midnight anyway." He shrugged.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "That's fair." Grayson smiled. He had thought about moving out a little more than he had before but he was sure that he could wait for a little while. He thought that it could be pretty fun, if he was honest. He was fine where he was, though. He knew that he could have a lot of fun with his parents. They were super interesting people, he thought. "You have someone?" Gray asked with a raise of an eyebrow.

He thought that she was such an interesting person - different to anyone else that he had ever met. He wanted to know everything about her. "It's not like it's happening anyway, is it?" He raised an eyebrow. "They haven't even talked all night."
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Oh really? Shit - that would be fun." Benjamin laughed. He thought that if anyone was going to find something like that, it was going to be Lydia. He couldn't wait to see if she could pull it off, though. "No-one would've brought anything to come for a swim though - that's the interesting thing." He laughed as he shrugged his shoulders.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Lydia was never good in situations where people were upset, because she wasn't a massively sympathetic person and she just didn't know how to handle it - so she was just glad that Piper was at least trying to keep a lid on it. She would probably go and fetch Iris or Nancy if the girl really did start crying. She laughed as the girl asked for two, nodding her head. "You've got it. Come on." She laughed, heading over to the bar. "Four shots of sambuca." She told the bartender with a little smile, waiting until they were poured to slide two of them over to Piper. "Bottoms up." She smirked, holding up her first shot to toast the other girl before she knocked it back.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Landon nodded his head; he sometimes forgot how much Annie had been through because she seemed to handle it so well, but he couldn't imagine how hard it was to try and get through something like that. "Well, then I think you've made a really kind decision to let it all go." He smiled softly, squeezing the girls arm gently. He didn't think it could be easy to watch opportunities pass you by, but he thought it was admirable that Annie knew herself so well and wouldn't try and drag somebody along for the ride if she knew she wasn't ready.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Maybe my resolution should be to stop being so rude." Arlo laughed, shrugging his shoulders. "Perfect!" He grinned as Ivy said she would get shots. He didn't want to make things awkward by going over to speak to Iris, but it was weird to spend a night without talking to his best friend... And he really wanted to be around her right now. In fact, recently, he found that he always wanted to be around her. He smiled and walked over to the girl, raising an eyebrow. "Hey - having a good night?" He asked with a little chuckle, nudging her gently.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Absolutely! I saw it a few years ago and I was pretty much in a trance watching how they danced." Wren chuckled, shaking his head. He loved dance a lot and he was glad his mother had gotten him in classes from an early age, because he saw how others his age struggled to keep up in classes sometimes if they didn't have previous training. "Oh, of course - but hey, what a show to be in the ensemble of! There's so much to do." He smiled, raising an eyebrow. He liked how that didn't seem to bother Blake. "That's the perks of being in your third year, you get priority." He chuckled, shrugging his shoulders. He loved getting to audition and he had so many projects on in his third year, he felt so lucky.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Some of us are less mad than others, but yeah - that's about the gist of it." Mia laughed, shrugging her shoulders - she didn't think there was any point in denying the fact that her family were crazy, not when everybody knew them and how they were. Living with her friends was the perfect arrangement for Mia - it meant she could see her family whenever she wanted, but also have a place away from the crazy for a little bit. "Oh, it doesn't matter - my dad will spring up as soon as he hears the door go, whatever time it is." She laughed - she didn't even think she was exaggerating with that one.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Ogie definitely saw the fun his friends had now that they'd moved out, he saw the freedom they had and he knew that when he did move out, he'd really enjoy it - but for now, he was enjoying the last little bit of living with his parents and being close to them. He was very much a home bird. He laughed at Grayson's surprise, shaking his head. "Of course not, I just wanted to see how you'd react. Don't worry, I'll kiss you." He would've really liked to kiss Piper at midnight, but he wasn't going to say that... Not when she was so clearly here with somebody else and had barely looked at him all night. He wondered if he'd have to see her kiss somebody else.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Maeve had never imagined herself getting along with somebody like Tobias - especially since they'd never even spoken a word to each other at school, but she really enjoyed talking to him and she hadn't even realised how much time had passed since they'd started talking. That never happened with her. "No, I know... She's here with somebody else and I don't think he'd dare interrupt." She shrugged her shoulders as she looked over at Piper and then at Ogie. "Although she's just with your sister at the minute, so maybe she isn't very interested in her actual date." She raised an eyebrow. She almost hoped that was the case, to show the girl that she was wrong to do that to Ogie.

Nancy laughed, glad that Benjamin seemed to be in agreement with her and the other two girls - and she knew that Lydia would absolutely manage to get them all in there. She knew it most definitely wasn't allowed, but she also didn't think they'd get caught. She giggled as Ben spoke, shaking her head. "I think swimming costumes will be the least of everybody's worries once they've had a drink. Let's just hope everybody's wearing underwear." She laughed, shrugging her shoulders.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Piper never wanted to make a big deal out of things. She was an emotional person but she didn't want to make a point out of it. She was glad that Lydia didn't either. Although the other was probably one of the last people that Piper would really spend time with - she was actually having a decent time. She thought that Lydia was an interesting person to be around. "Thank you." She smiled as she nodded her head a little bit. She glanced down at the shots as they were placed in front of her and then back up at Lydia. "Cheers..." She muttered, clinked her shot against Lydias and downing it - cringing at the taste.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Annie really did try to make it seem like she had everything together. She wanted people to believe that she was okay, that there was nothing for them to worry about. But sometimes, it just got a little bit harder. Annie didn't want to ruin her friendship with Wren by dragging him along, when she wasn't sure if she would be able to give herself to him. She didn't know how long it would take for her to be able to feel okay for all of that, either. "I dunno. He seems happy so - that's good enough for me." She nodded. She had no idea what she had missed out on, though.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Iris thought that a night wasn't really finished unless she had spoke to Arlo. They talked every single day and it felt weird to be in the same room as him, without actually having spoke to him yet. So when she realised that he was coming over, she smiled. She actually liked that he would pick talking to her, over staying and dancing with Ivy. "Yeah, it's been good so far." She smiled as she nodded her head. "How about you? You two looked like you were having fun!"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "The dancers are amazing. I am having so much fun with it." Blake laughed as she nodded her head. Dancing was probably her weakest of the three but that didn't mean that she didn't enjoy it. She wasn't a bad dancer, by any means, anyway. Blake nodded as she listened to Wren, "Yeah, exactly. There's so much to do and it's really fun with the dances and stuff so...Its a win, win, really." She, obviously, wouldn't have minded a part, but at least she got to be a part of all of the dances this way. "What are you guys doing?" She asked him, with a smile.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "You're almost normal, so..." Noah shrugged his shoulders. He wasn't sure what he expected from Mias family but he thought it could be a little mad, sometimes. Noah thought that he would've gone crazy, living in a place like she had. The house was full of love but from the few times he had stayed there, it was constantly loud. He didn't know how he would've ever dealt with that. "Then good luck." Noah shrugged his shoulders.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Grayson had never really had someone that was interested in him. He sometimes wondered if he ever would. He was a nice person but he never thought that he was that good looking, nor did he really think he was the right kind of person that someone would be interested in in a romantic sense. His parents had been together for a couple of years by the time that they were his age. "Thank you!" Grayson laughed as he nodded his head. "Where's Dodie gone, anyway?" He asked, as he looked around them for a moment.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Like Maeve, Tobias never thought that he would be wanting to talk to someone like her - but he found her so interesting. He liked to hear what she thought about things because it was usually so different to the way that his friends would think about things. He found it really interesting ,if he was completely honest. "Of course he wouldn't." Tobias muttered as he shook his head. He looked over at Piper and Lydia as Maeve spoke and he couldn't help but chuckled. "God - she's a right influence." He nodded to the shots the two of them had. "I guess we'll see."
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Hopefully it won't be long then, right?" Benjamin asked, as he raised an eyebrow. Although he never really wanted to push the boat too much - he did think that it would be a lot of fun for them to go to the swimming pool. He thought that it would be fun for everyone. Benjamin laughed along with Nancy and nodded his head, "Yeah, well, hopefully." He nudged her gently. "It's almost midnight, right? Only about half an hour or so? Are you staying out here till then?"
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Lydia was probably the furthest thing away from an emotional person that there was; she honestly couldn't remember the last time she'd cried or gotten upset, especially in front of people and it made her so uncomfortable when other people did. "Cheers." She laughed as she saw the other girls face, barely flinching as she knocked back the second shot of sambuca. "Feeling any better?" She smirked, raising an eyebrow.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Landon thought Annie did an excellent job of keeping together - he had no idea that she was struggling sometimes, that she found it hard. If he did, he would want to be there for her, because he was always there for her. He smiled and nodded his head as she spoke about Wren. "Yeah, he does seem happy... He seemed happy when he was around you as well, though - you know?" He didn't even know what he was trying to get at, he just didn't want Annie to think that she wouldn't have been able to do the same for Wren as Blake did.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Arlo smiled as Iris said her night had been good; he really did want her to enjoy herself, he just felt like he had a better time whenever he was around her and he thought it might be the other way around, too. "Yeah, it's been great! Ivy's loads of fun." He laughed, shrugging his shoulders. "I missed you, though - felt weird not being over here, talking to you." He chuckled. Iris was his best friend - that was why he wanted her around so much. He didn't want to think about the other reasons.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "What's your favourite number to be in?" Wren asked interestedly, a little smile on his face. He had always loved being able to talk about this stuff with people and having somebody who was in the industry who he was actually interested in romantically was just an extra bonus. "And think about how great the costumes are going to be, too!" He grinned. "We're working on a production of Road by Jim Cartwright - I'm playing Joey. Have you heard of it?" He smiled. Although he loved musical theatre, acting was his true passion and he absolutely loved being able to sink his teeth into difficult roles.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Almost is good enough - being completely normal would be boring, so." Mia laughed, shrugging her shoulders. On a one-on-one basis, she thought most of her siblings were pretty normal - it was when they were all together that they got crazy, it was like they all bounced off each other. She couldn't imagine living in a place where it wasn't filled with so much love and laughter, though. "Thanks, I'll need it." She chuckled jokingly. She knew she didn't really mind and she'd definitely enjoyed being at home over the Christmas holidays so far.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Ogie felt very similarly to Grayson - he didn't think he was bad looking necessarily, but he didn't think he was anything special at all compared to the people around him, he was probably a little below average. He knew he was nice, but he didn't know if that was enough... and maybe that was why he'd fallen for Piper so quickly, because he'd never expected anybody as amazing as her to show any interest in him - and now she'd lost it. His parents had been married by the time they were his age and that stressed him out, when he'd never even had a girlfriend. "Oh yeah! I dunno, maybe she found her sister? -- Yeah look, she's over there with Nova." He smiled, pointing over to their friend and waving.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Dodie was a pretty social person and she always liked to make the rounds at stuff like this, she liked to chat to everybody she knew and once she'd found her sister, they'd been chatting for ages - now that Nova lived with her friends, Dodie liked to catch up properly whenever they saw each other, even if it had only been a couple of days. She laughed as she saw Ogie pointing over, waving back before she said goodbye to her sister and walked over. "Hey! What's with the pointing?" She laughed, raising an eyebrow.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Maeve had always known that her opinions and the way she thought would be vastly different to the way Tobias did, but what she hadn't realised was just how interesting she'd find that - she was absolutely attracted to the way people's minds worked and he managed to get her thinking pretty much every time they spoke. She smiled as he spoke about his sister, nodding her head. "Piper's going to be flat out after two of those." She laughed, raising an eyebrow. "Yeah, I guess we will. It's almost midnight, so that'll be the teller." She laughed.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Hopefully not. I wonder how many people will actually come - you think anybody will chicken out?" Nancy laughed, raising an eyebrow. She took Ben saying that it sounded fun as a sign that he was in and she was happy about that; she was pretty sure Lydia would only be inviting those close to them and she would feel comfortable spending time with Ben around them. She laughed as he nudged her, nudging him back gently. "I will if you will." She smiled, shrugging her shoulders. She hoped he would, anyway - she'd had a far better time in the few minutes she'd spent out here than she had the whole time she was inside.

AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Piper knew that she and Lydia were probably as opposite as could be but she actually really liked the other. She admired her a lot. She wished that she could be a little more like her. She wished that she could stand up for herself. Confrontation made her feel so nervous. "I might cry because of the taste of it, this time." Piper laughed before she shook her head.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Annie shrugged her shoulders, "It doesn't matter, does it?" She sighed. She knew that she probably owed him an apology though. Annie had known Wren since the two of them were small and she hated that she had managed to ruin things. She had wanted to be ready for a relationship, for the two of them - but she absolutely wasn't and she didn't know how to say that to him. "And there's no-one you have your eye on?" Annie asked, raising an eyebrow. If she was honest, she just wanted to turn the subject away from herself.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Although Iris loved spending time with Lydia, it was Arlo and Nancy that she had the best time with. The two of them were her best friends. They were everything to her. She would always want to be anywhere that her friends were. Iris didn't have any siblings and Nancy - in particular - was a surrogate sister. Her friends were her family. Not anything else. "Yeah, bet she is." Iris nodded, rolling her eyes. "Well, hey, you've been busy, haven't you?" She laughed. She didn't know why she kept turning it back to Ivy.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "America. For sure. It's so much fun. Did you expect anything else, though?" Blake laughed, shrugging her shoulders. Being able to talk about stuff like this with people who understood it was so much fun. She thought that, that was something she had over Annie. She and Wren had a lot of similarities. "Oh, I know. I can't wait to get into my first one." Blake smiled. She was so excited. "I haven't. What is it about?" She asked him. She was always interested in learning about something new.

AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Well, I think you're all mad, so..." Noah laughed, shrugging his shoulders. He didn't think that he would ever be able to deal with Mia and her entire family all together. He thought that it was pretty crazy that they could be like that. His house could be pretty loud sometimes, but it was pretty different to the Saracens house, he was sure of that.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: It was another one of those things that Grayson was just happy to have Ogie. He thought that he would feel especially weird if he didn't have his friend there with him. His friend made everything feel normal, Grayson thought. He smiled as Ogie pointed over to Dodie and he waved at his friend, "Oh, we're getting your attention now, huh?" He laughed as he raised an eyebrow. "I just wasn't sure where you had gone, that's all." He shrugged.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Tobias knew that his and Maeve upbringing hadn't been all that different - but he hadn't quite realised how different that could be for them. His parents were busy, sure, but they always made time for him and his sister. He never realised how lucky he was to have that. "Do you think?" Tobias chuckled. He thought that, that was someone incredibly lightweight if they couldn't handle two shots but he figured that he didn't know Piper that well. "Oh yeah. I forgot it was New Years Eve then, you know?" He chuckled.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "I'd be very surprised if Annie comes but that's it." Benjamin shrugged his shoulders. He would've said the same about Wren but he thought that Blake would probably be able to convince him to join them. He wondered how it would be at the after party between the two of them, though. He hoped that it would be a little more than what was happening right now, a little less in secret. He smiled as she spoke and nodded his head, "We have a deal, then."
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "No crying - if you cry, I'll have to leave. And then you'll be left doing sambuca shots on your own." Lydia laughed, rolling her eyes playfully - although she wasn't really joking. She leaned across the bar and ordered them both a drink, taking a guess on what Piper wanted - she just wanted to be drunk now. "I think one more drink and you'll have the courage to talk to him. It's almost midnight, you know? You know what people do at midnight on New Years Eve?" She laughed, raising an eyebrow. She thought two shots should definitely give Piper the courage to kiss Ogie - and it was obvious how happy that would make him.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "No, I suppose it doesn't." Landon agreed, nodding his head. If he was honest, he thought it did - but it was clear that Annie didn't want to talk about it anymore and he was never going to do anything that made her uncomfortable. "Not really..." He shook his head at her question. He had only met a lot of these people once or twice, obviously barring the ones he'd known before he met Annie and that just wasn't enough time for him to form a connection. He thought a few people were attractive, sure - but that wasn't the most important thing to him.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Arlo raised an eyebrow as Iris rolled her eyes, laughing slightly. "What are you rolling your eyes at?" He asked curiously. He had no idea that she wasn't a fan of Ivy or that the two of them spending time together bothered her. If he was honest, Iris spending time with Lydia bothered him too, but he wasn't going to admit that - not to Iris and not even to himself. "Well, that's basically what I said. But I'm here now, so..." He laughed, shrugging his shoulders. He wanted to spend time with his best friend and that was why he'd come over.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Ah, of course - I assumed as much. It's one of my favourites." Wren smiled, nodding his head. He thought Blake was made for stage and even just as a fellow performer, he looked forward to watching her in any future performances. "You'll have to let me know what they're like, I love all the costuming parts. I think the designers are just so clever." He shook his head in admiration. "It's basically a play about this one, working class street in London - written in the Thatcher era - and each scene takes a look into a different house on the street. Obviously later on in the script, it doubles back and you see more and more of each house. It's brilliant." He smiled.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Oh, high praise." Mia laughed, rolling her eyes. It was clear she didn't really mind, though - they were all mad, it wasn't as though she could deny it. She thought most families were mad in their own way and she'd definitely seen a side of Noah's that he hadn't wanted people to see, so she wouldn't begrudge his judgement of her family either.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Ogie smiled as Dodie came over, but he couldn't help his focus being taken by Piper on the other side of the room - she was with Lydia and he didn't think he'd ever seen them hang out before... He missed her a lot. He just missed talking to her, knowing things about her life - and it had only been a week or so since they'd last spoken. He wished more than anything they could've been there together tonight.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "I don't think she's exactly used to anything like that." Maeve laughed, shrugging her shoulders - embarrassingly, she thought she'd probably be the same after two or more shots. She'd at least be more drunk than she'd like to be; she usually drank steadily, not fast. "I know what you mean, it doesn't feel like it's any different to a normal one of these parties." She laughed, shaking her head. She never saw the big fuss about New Years Eve, it was just another night to her.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "You're right actually, I'd put all my money on her not coming... Or reporting everybody." Nancy laughed, raising an eyebrow. She just hoped that the people who didn't think they should be going just went home, rather than causing a fuss. She absolutely wanted them to be able to act a little bit more like themselves - and as soon as the girls she called her friends were gone, she would be. It was why she liked being out here so much, away from them. "Perfect." She smiled as he agreed to stay out with her.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "And three will actually have me on the floor." Piper laughed. She was already feeling the effects of just the one. And the second one was making her a little dizzy. She looked over at Ogie as she listened to Lydia. Part of Piper already wanted to go over to him, to be able to tell him that she had been mad, that she was wrong and she should've come to the dance with him - but she was still a little nervous. "And who are you going to kiss? Iris?" Piper asked, raising an eyebrow as she looked to lydia. She had, had enough of talking about her and Ogie.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Annie wished that it was enough. She wished that she could feel better about all of this but she wasn't sure that there was much that she could do. She thought that things were a little harder than that. She had lost someone that she had loved. She didn't know if she would ever get over something like that. "No-one that you want to get to know?" Annie asked, with a small smile. She was mostly just being curious and she hoped that he didn't mind all that much. She thought that gossiping a little could be a bit of fun, that was all.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Iris shrugged her shoulders, "No reason." Because she really didn't think there was. Iris wasn't really sure why she felt like that about Ivy. She thought the other girl was nice enough. She was pretty funny and they got along but something about her rubbed her up the wrong way. She refused to admit that it was anything more than her being annoying, though. "You are." Iris smiled as she nodded her head, "It's going to be midnight soon though - I'm sure she'll want your attention again, you know?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "It has to be, doesn't it? It's just so much fun." Blake laughed. She couldn't wait until they were able to perform to people. It never even felt like she was getting graded for these kind of things. She just had fun and she hoped that, that showed. "I absolutely will. I'll send you pictures." She laughed as she nodded her head. That was her favourite part about performing - getting her costumes. She thought it was all instantly more fun when she had her costume. Blake nodded as she listened to Wren, "That sounds really interesting, actually."
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Grayson turned to Dodie as she came over, "How's Nova?" He asked, as he raised an eyebrow. Grayson adored Dodie and her entire family. He had met her parents a couple of times and he thought that they were some wonderful people. He loved that he got to keep meeting all of these different people as he got older, with all kinds of different family lives.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "It does look like she's a little unsteady on her feet, huh?" Tobias asked, as he looked over to the other. He had grown up in a household where something to drink with dinner, when he was in his late teens, was expected. His mother always had a glass of wine with tea. So he had always had a good tolerance for alcohol. "Yeah, exactly. But that's what New Years is always like." He shrugged. He didn't think that he particularly cared for New Years Eve. He thought that it was such a fuss over nothing. Nothing ever changed.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "It's one of the other." Benjamin shrugged his shoulders. He thought that Annie was a nice person but he did think that she needed to let her hair down a little bit sometimes. He thought that she could be a little too high strung. It was why he wanted to have fun with his friends. "Do you want a smoke?" He asked her. He didn't do it very often but he thought that a celebration like a New Year was a special occasion."
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "That is more than fair." Lydia laughed, nodding her head. "Do you want a water or something to wash them down?" She chuckled. She was actually finding Piper far more bearable than she'd ever imagined she would and it had surprised her. "Maybe. Who knows? Maybe I won't kiss anybody at all." She smirked slightly. She liked people not being able to read her and she knew that kissing Iris was probably what most people expected her to do - although she definitely wouldn't turn down the opportunity.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Landon would love to see Annie happy with somebody, but he knew that after all she'd been through that it wasn't going to be that easy - and that the first and most important step was her being happy on her own. That was what he thought, anyway. "It's not that easy for me, you know? I feel like I already have to know somebody before I realise I'm interested in getting to know them." He laughed softly, shrugging his shoulders. Of course, he had found Blake attractive at the party when they had spoken... But he wasn't about to say her name when she was over there with Wren.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Arlo raised an eyebrow at Iris's answer - he didn't really know if it made sense to him. If it made sense for either of them to be annoyed over their supposed friends being there with other people. "Well, it's not like anybody else is clamoring for it, is it?" He laughed, shrugging his shoulders. He wanted somebody to kiss at midnight, he wasn't going to deny that - and he had gone to the party with Ivy, so it only made sense for it to be her. He didn't get Iris's problem - he and Ivy were a pretty good match, as far as he was concerned.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "So much fun. My granddad Tommy played Tony on the West End when he was younger and then my Uncle Tommy did the same, after him. Could you imagine?" Wren smiled, shaking his head. He knew he came from a long line of talented Morley's and he was absolutely determined to keep that up. "I can't wait to see them." He smiled, nodding his head. "Yeah, it's brilliant - Cartwright is excellent and our director is phenomenal. I feel lucky." He smiled. He had been brought up in a very privileged life, so the role was challenging and he loved that about it.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Hey, do you think your sister and Iris managed to come up with an after party?" Mia smiled with a raise of an eyebrow. She had no idea that there was anything planned for her birthday - although part of her maybe hoped. She loved her birthday being on New Years Day and she loved the story of her birthday a lot, too. She knew her dad would be sad that she was out tonight, instead of being at home with them to celebrate, but she knew they'd all celebrate tomorrow.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Nova's good, she said she's going to come over to say hi in a little bit - she's preoccupied with her uni friends." Dodie laughed, rolling her eyes playfully. Her sister was one of her best friends and she always had been. She loved that she was getting to meet so many different people at university, although she was sure she'd just gone for the partying element. "What've you guys been up to? Drunk yet, lightweights?" She giggled, poking him jokingly with her finger. She wasn't exactly the best drinker herself, so she was obviously joking.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "A little bit, but that could just be Piper being Piper." Maeve commented with a little laugh, shrugging her shoulders. Although she had grown up with wine being a regular drink at dinner, it wasn't exactly like she and her parents were taking shots of sambuca with dessert and she knew she'd be no good if she even tried to drink like some of the people around here. "It's strange, I think. The emphasis put on this one night, when it's really just like any other." She shook her head. Tomorrow wouldn't feel any different to her, she didn't think.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "It's her sisters birthday party though, so you'd hope she has a heart." Nancy laughed, raising an eyebrow. She was excited for the party, she thought it was going to be a lot of fun - everybody invited was always down for a laugh. Or at least, most of them. She smiled as Ben offered her a smoke, but she shook her head - her voice was so important to her and although she knew one wouldn't really do anything, she didn't want to risk it. "No thank you, but I'll sit with you while you do?" She smiled, shrugging her shoulders.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Piper laughed. She was really enjoying talking to Lydia. She could definitely see what Lydia saw in her, that was for sure. "Oh, no. I'm fine." She laughed as she lent against the bar, mostly to keep her standing a little more upright. She was feeling very dizzy now - now the second shot had hit her a little more. "And that's completely fine! I think I will kiss Ogie, you know." She nodded. She covered her mouth, though, as she realised what she had said. That was absolutely because she had, had a couple shots.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Annie knew that she had to come to terms with everything that had happened, before she could do anything else. She had to make sure that she was happy on her own - and she was getting there. Landon was definitely helping her with that. She thought that he was a really good friend and that he was going to be a friend for the rest of her life. She hoped so, anyway. "Oh but I like that! That's more real, if you ask me." She nodded. Annie thought it was nice that Landon would take personality over anything else. She thought that, that was really important.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Iris knew that it might not be all that fair of her to be a little annoyed by Arlo and Ivy and she didn't even know why she was annoyed. She just thought that Arlo was more bothered spending time with Ivy, than he was spending time with her. She didn't like being his second choice when they had always been one anothers first choices. "You're having a good night, right? What else matters?" She asked, as she raised an eyebrow.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Oh really?" Blake smiled, "Maybe it's your turn to take up the mantel at some point, then?" She raised an eyebrow. She thought that Wren would actually make a really good Tony. Maria was definitely something that Blake would love to play but she knew that she would never be allowed too. Blake nodded as she listened to him, "When do you guys perform?" She asked him with a smile. She knew that she would've loved to see that, though. "It's almost midnight - we should get some prosecco or something?" Blake asked, as she looked down at her phone for a second.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Oh, yeah. I'm sure they would've." Noah chuckled with a nod of his head. He thought that he wasn't really giving anything away, he hoped not anyway. He was sure that Mia was going to love it when they got to the swimming pool and they were all there for the party. "We should get some shots." Noah smiled, "it's your birthday at midnight, right?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "It's almost midnight too! So I'm sure that she will be proccupied." Grayson laughed as he shrugged his shoulders. Gray loved the relationship that Dodie and her sister had. He was pretty close with Meredith but it was nothing compared to how Dodie and Nova were. "We're not drunk!" Grayson laughed as he shook his head, "We were just talking about who we're gonna kiss at new year. Do you have anyone in mind?" He asked with with a raise of an eyebrow. It was only ten minutes or so until New Year now so Gray was pretty sure that he wouldn't be kissing anyone.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Maybe." Tobias muttered as he shrugged his shoulders. He was glad that he had, had a pretty lowkey New Years. He had been surprised by how much he enjoyed spending time with Maeve. He had thought that the last time the two of them had, had a conversation was the same. He raised an eyebrow as she spoke again and he nodded his head. "Yeah, I agree." He smiled at her. "I just found it weird, you know? What's so important about tonight?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Yeah, you'd think that she wouldn't do anything against it, would you?" Benjamin smiled as he raised an eyebrow. He thought that it might be nice that Anie would have a night to herself, a night to let her hair down and celebrate her little sister. Ben nodded as Nancy refused one of his cigarettes. He smoked a lot while he was travelling, he had toned it down a little since he had come home, though. "Sure. Sounds good." Ben smiled before he lit a cigarette and smiled at her.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Are you sure?" Lydia laughed, almost concerned - she knew Piper was probably a lightweight, but she didn't imagine for a second that two shots of Sambuca would have her on the floor. She was wobbling and Lydia felt almost bad for suggesting the shots. She laughed loudly though, as Piper said she was going to kiss Ogie. "Good for you! You should. He absolutely wants you to." She laughed, nodding her head. She thought it was obvious that the two of them liked each other.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Do you think so?" Landon asked with a chuckle. He had been in relationships before, but nothing serious and he thought that probably stemmed from how well he liked to know people before he decided to be in an actual relationship with them. He just needed to know people, to trust them. "Anyway, if I was interested in anybody then what would it mean for our midnight kiss? Can't have anything spoiling that." He chuckled jokingly.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "I mean, it doesn't - but everybody wants somebody to kiss at midnight. Don't they?" Arlo asked with a laugh, raising an eyebrow. For a second, he wondered if Iris would kiss Lydia and if she did, he knew he'd be bothered... As much as that was unfair, when he was planning on kissing Ivy. "Aren't you going to kiss somebody?" He asked, trying to be casual about it. He thought that was what everybody wanted on New Years Eve - to bring the new year in with somebody you liked, to be kissing somebody as the fireworks went off and the clock chimed.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Perhaps it will be. I wouldn't want the line to stop with me." Wren laughed, raising an eyebrow - he knew his passion laid with acting, though. He would rather throw his everything into that, to play some of the roles he'd only ever dreamed about - but he would be more than happy to play an amateur Tony one day. "We perform at the end of February. I'll save you a ticket, if you'd like?" He smiled hopefully. He would love for Blake to be able to see him doing what he loved. "Oh wow, it is? Yeah, let's get something to toast with! Do you want Prosecco?" He asked with a smile. He was sure he was going to kiss her at midnight and he was excited for it.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "I hope so. I don't want to end up in a club like every other night." Mia laughed, shrugging her shoulders - she would obviously go to a club if that was where everybody else went, but she thought that would just feel like any other night. "Yes! We definitely need more shots. You can choose this time." She smiled. She nodded her head as he spoke about her birthday, her face lighting up with excitement - Mia loved her birthday. "Yeah, it is - not that nineteen's a special age or anything, but still. Exciting stuff. Definitely shot worthy." She laughed, raising an eyebrow.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "No way?" Dodie laughed as Grayson said it was close to midnight, checking the time on her phone before she let out another laugh. "I thought it was like, eleven or something - it's like five minutes away!" She really had gotten caught up with her sister and she was glad she'd managed to find her friends again before midnight. "Oh what, you guys have people to kiss?!" She asked with a laugh, raising her eyebrows. "No, I was counting on all of us having nobody and being each others pity kisses." She chuckled with a shrug of her shoulders. If she was totally honest, she knew she wouldn't mind kissing Grayson - she'd always thought he was pretty good looking, but she knew she shouldn't think about her friend like that.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Once again, Maeve had really enjoyed spending the majority of her night with Tobias - and, once again, she couldn't believe that she had. They had gone through years of school and college without so much as acknowledging each others existence and yet twice in row they'd ended up talking for what felt like hours. She smiled as he said he agreed. "Really?" She asked. She would've thought he would've been a fan of the big fuss of New Years. "Nothing! Nothing at all. It's just another night and tomorrow will feel exactly the same. People put so much pressure on it, but it's just another Saturday night." She laughed, shaking her head.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "I'm sure it'll be fine - it's not like she would've agreed to it if she didn't want it to happen." Nancy laughed, shrugging her shoulders - although she wouldn't put it past the girl to chicken out last minute, she hoped she wouldn't. It was going to be a lot of fun and she thought Mia would love it. She had obviously tried smoking before, but now she went to a performing arts school and was trained pretty much daily, she knew she would be stupid to do it again. She liked that Ben didn't seem to care, though - her friends always got weird with her if she didn't want to do something they were doing. "I didn't know you smoked?" She asked curiously.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Yeah, yeah. I'm good." Piper laughed. It wasn't just the shots that had made her feel like this. She had, had a couple drinks before that. She was sure that she would be okay but she was going to feel it in the morning, that was for sure. Piper laughed along with Lydia and nodded her head as she turned to look at her for a moment. "I'm gonna go over." She smiled and started to make her way over, not realising that she had brushed past her brother as she went. "Hey." Piper smiled as she took Ogies hands in hers, the countdown starting.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Yeah, of course I do." Annie smiled as she nodded her head. "Getting to know someone is what is going to make the relationship last. Not finding them attractive, don't you think?" She raised an eyebrow. She didn't understand these people that would enter a relationship with someone just because they found them attractive. There had to be more in it than that. "Oh really? I knew you wanted to kiss me." Annie laughed - though it fell short as she realised who was passing them, "That's your sister, isn't it? She can barely walk..."
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "I suppose so." Iris muttered as she shrugged her shoulders. She didn't really have any idea who she would kiss at midnight but it wasn't exactly something that was important to her either. She thought the tradition was a little silly, if she was honest. "You should go find Ivy." Iris laughed, nodding to where she thought she saw the girl. She hoped that she would be able to talk to Arlo later though, when it could just be the two of them. She wanted to be around Arlo all of the time but there was something about him being with Ivy that rubbed her up the wrong way.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "I'd love to see that." Blake smiled as she nodded her head. She thought that Wren would make an incredible Tony - even if he didn't want to go down the musicals route professionally. She thought that he was incredibly talented - but then he was bound to when he was half Morley. Blake wondered if that would give him an automatic head start. Surely his name would open doors for him? "Absolutely I do!" Blake smiled and nodded her head. She turned to the bar and ordered the two of them a glass each. She was handed them when the countdown started. "Not long now!" She laughed.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "I'm sure that they'll be something more entertaining." Noah nodded. He thought that they were going to have a lot of fun. He knew that she was going to enjoy what her siblings and cousins had come up with. "Tequila, please." He spoke to the bartender before he turned back to Mia. He thought that this was the perfect thing for the two of them. Shots were much more then than champagne. "Birthdays are always exciting." He shrugged his shoulders.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Grayson laughed as he listened to Dodie and he nodded his head, "Yes way. You two always managed to talk the night away, don't you?" He laughed before he shook his head. He was glad that she was there, though. At least this way, he got to bring in the New Year with his best friends. Grayson laughed as Dodie spoke, "What? It's that shocking?" He asked with a raise of an eyebrow. "But no. We were just saying we'd have to kiss one another - But I think he's busy now..." He nodded to Piper. "So you'll have to make do with me!"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: If he was honest, Tobias had never really noticed Maeve when they were in school. They didn't exactly run in the same circles, after all, so he didn't think that it was all that surprising. She didn't think that she would ever let her down, anyway. Benjamin had cut down significantly since he had come back from his travels but it was still a damn sight more than what he smoked before. "It's a pretty new habit." He shrugged.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Well, good luck!" Lydia laughed as she watched Piper pretty much wobble over to Ogie. She was sure she'd be fine - Ogie was a good guy and he would look after her if she needed to be looked after. She thought that a couple of glasses of water and a sandwich or something would probably sort the girl out, though. She couldn't help but smile slightly as she watched them, before she turned to look for her brother. She raised an eyebrow as she saw who he was standing with - she swore that was the second time she'd seen them talking like that and she didn't get it. She made a note to quiz him about it later.

People think attraction is the most important thing, you know? And then when they figure out they actually have nothing in common, they don't know what to do about it." He shrugged his shoulders. He just didn't think that physical attraction was enough. "Of course I do --" He went to joke, but his laugh faded slightly as his sister walked past him... Well, walked was putting it kindly. "Yeah... She looks hammered." He frowned, raising an eyebrow. He didn't think Piper was usually that drunk and he was worried about her. He heard the countdown starting and thought he'd probably leave it until after - she seemed to be determined to see Ogie and he didn't want to interrupt that. He was going to keep an eye on her, though.

He didn't think they had anything to be annoyed at each other about and yet it definitely felt as though something was between them right now. "Yeah, okay... Well. Happy New Year." He smiled, before he walked off and went to find Ivy. "Hey! Just in time!" He laughed as he tapped her on the shoulder, giving her a big grin. He laughed as the countdown started, counting out loud along with everybody else.

Wren smiled, nodding his head - he would like to imagine that he would get an opportunity like that one day and that the people around him would be able to see it. Wren was obviously aware that his name meant something in their industry - but he also knew that he was talented, that he was more than capable of getting jobs based on his skills alone. He smiled as their drinks were handed over, nodding his head as she spoke. "Not long at all!" He laughed, smiling down at her before he turned his eyes back to the clock. Although it was only ten seconds away, he already couldn't wait to kiss her.

She laughed as he ordered tequila, the smile still on her face - she wasn't a fan of champagne, she much preferred tequila and in any case, she thought this suited them far more. "Of course they are. -- Oh, look!" She laughed as she heard people counting, looking at the big clock and realising that it was time for the countdown. She loved this moment every single year and although she knew she probably shouldn't think like it, she was really excited to be bringing this one in with Noah.

He'd been wanting to talk to her all night. "I - hey!" He laughed, looking down at their hands as she took his. "Are you - are you okay?" He asked, having to shout a little above the counting. She seemed pretty drunk and he wondered if he should help her or if he was just thinking too much into things.

They were a family of chatters and she loved that - it was never silent, it was never boring. She had definitely wanted to find her best friends before the countdown had started, though. "No, I just wanted to be pre-warned so I could find somebody! I don't want to look like Billy-no-mates." She laughed, sticking out her tongue playfully. "Ooh, look!" She laughed as Grayson said Ogie was busy and she turned to see him with Piper. "I think I can just about handle that. Get ready to pucker up!" She laughed as the countdown started, wrapping an arm around her friends waist and joining in with the last little bit of the countdown. She felt so happy in that moment and she thought that was what it was all about.

She didn't know if that made sense - what she really meant was that she'd thought Tobias would be just like everybody else in his circle and for some reason or another, he just... wasn't. And she really liked that. "Absolutely! We should've thrown an Anti-New Years Eve party." She chuckled, raising an eyebrow. She was almost oblivious to the counting around them, they had been so separate to the others for the rest of the night.

She thought the rest of the night was going to be so much fun - they were all going to bring the in the new year surrounded by the people they loved, having a laugh and she thought that sounded perfect. She went to respond to Ben, before she heard the counting happening inside and her face lit up with a little smile. "Wait! Sh!" She laughed, holding a finger up to her lips as she listened to hear what number they were on. She heard the chiming of the bells as it hit midnight though and the fireworks started almost instantly. "Happy New Year!" She beamed, leaning up to kiss him with a smile. She had no problems with confidence when they were out here, on her own - she wanted to kiss him at midnight, so she was going to.

While Annie thought that Piper could do what she want, if she was doing what she thought that she was doing, then she didn't like it. She thought that her brother was worth more than a drunken kiss but she also knew that she wasn't going to do anything about it. Ogie was a grown up, he could look after himself. If he wanted Piper to kiss him, then she knew she shouldn't get involved. She chuckled as the countdown started and she turned to look at Landon, "Guess you're stuck with me." She smiled.

She was just in one of her moods and it wasn't all that fair, if she was honest. "Happy New Year." Iris smiled. She wasn't sure what the feeling was as she watched Arlo moved over to Ivy but she didn't like it, not one bit. As she looked around the room and spotted Lydia, she smiled, though. She wondered if she was going to kiss her tonight. She hoped that she would - mostly because she didn't want to be the only one not to be kissed.

Blake really wanted a reputation like the one his family had. She thought that was definitely hitting the jackpot. Blake found it hard to find an issue with Wren getting places because of his name - since he was actually very talented. She thought that he was incredible. Blake smiled as she looked up at Wren and joined everyone in the countdown. She really hoped that Wren would kiss her.

She was a very chill person and she absolutely wouldn't have held it against him but she wouldn't have been very happy if Arlo had kissed Iris instead of her.

He thought that it was good that the two of them had that. He hoped that it would be the start of something all over again. He had wanted to do that for a long time and he was so happy he got to. He didn't pull away as the chimes finished, wanting to hold it for a little bit longer.

"Happy New Year!" She laughed as she pulled away, the big smile still on her face.

He felt like he stopped breathing as she kissed him and it took him a second to even respond, but when he did he kissed her back eagerly, pulling away with a slightly dazed expression. "H-Happy New Year, Piper..." He breathed quietly, shaking his head in disbelief.

She was happy for Piper and Ogie, but she hoped it was for real this time - she didn't think she'd be very happy if Piper was just taking him for a ride again. She couldn't help laughing as Grayson pulled a face, pulling a duck face of her own and leaning in to kiss him, laughing again as he did. "Happy New Year, Gray!" She beamed, hugging him tightly.

Maeve raised an eyebrow - she thought that people pretended to like a lot of things that they actually didn't care much about and she definitely thought this could be one of them. "Next year. Absolutely." She laughed with a nod of her head. She smiled as Tobias turned to her as the countdown ended, about to wish him happy new year when he leaned in to kiss her. She hadn't expected it at all and she was sure it was absolutely just because she was there, but it was nice anyway - she liked it. She had a slightly shocked smile on her face as she pulled away and she couldn't help but let out a little laugh. "Would it be Happy New Year? Or should I wish you a Terrible New Year?" She laughed, in reference to their previous joke.

She thought this was a pretty good New Years Eve, as they went - she felt happy. "We should go in and find everybody!" She smiled. She definitely wanted to find her brother and wish him a happy new year, anyway. "And then we have a surprise party to get to!" She laughed.

Annie nodded, though she looked to the floor as she spoke. She wasn't sure what she was expecting. She had been pretty sure that Wren and Blake were going to kiss but she still didn't like the feeling in the pit of her stomach at seeing it.

"Good idea! I think they're heading for us now." He smiled, nodding towards Iris and Lydia, who were currently on their way over. He was excited to get the show on the road, he knew that Annie would be excited to celebrate with her sister.

But she didn't want that with Iris. She cared about her too much. "Exactly." She laughed, nodding her head and beginning to head towards Annie. "You guys ready?" She smiled, raising an eyebrow. She thought this was going to be great - she had been only happy to contribute to the party moneywise and had bought a ton of alcohol for everybody and put in towards some of the decorations, too.

He smiled as she wished him a Happy New Year, nodding his head. He thought it was going to be an exciting one, that was for sure. "Yeah, I should show my face at least - it's Mia's birthday, after all." He smiled slightly. Although he would love to have it just he and Blake, he was too close to the Saracens not to make an appearance. "Do you want to come back to mine, afterwards? We can get a bottle of champagne to take back with us?" He smiled.

He was honestly surprised they'd even managed to get into the swimming pool in the first place and he had no idea how, but he knew better than to ask too many questions. "Yeah, of course - how surprised do you think she's gonna be?" He asked with a laugh. He thought it was so fun that she had no idea what was happening. "She's over there, look - with Noah. Come on!" He smiled, taking Ivy's hand and starting to walk over. "Noah! Wait! We'll head over to the -- to wherever we're all going with you." He laughed, correcting his mistake quickly.

"Let's go!" She repeated excitedly. She had no idea what was happening, but she was happy to just go with the flow anyway. "Hey guys! Happy New Year!" She grinned as she saw Ivy and Arlo, giving them a little wave. With the excitement mixed with the alcohol she'd consumed, she didn't even clock Arlo seeming to know what was happening.

He laughed as the girl said Lydia had convinced her into drinking sambuca, shaking his head. "God, I hate that stuff - it tastes like toothpaste." He laughed softly, shaking his head. "I'm glad -- I'm really, really happy to see you, Piper... I didn't think you were going to come over." He admitted with a little shrug of his shoulders. "Oh yeah, of course!" He smiled widely as he realised where they were supposed to be going now. "I can't wait to see her face, she's going to be so surprised." He laughed.

Maeve smiled, almost admiringly - she was one of the most organised people around, but she'd have no idea where to start with a party. She thought it was sweet how close the Saracens were though, how they would do something like this to surprise their cousin. "Do you want to head down?" She asked. She wasn't sure if he was wanting to meet up with any of his friends before he did and she wouldn't be offended if that was the case, but she thought she might as well ask.

She was just glad that she and Iris had had the sense not to invite the other girls they were friends with, because she knew she'd feel so much more comfortable tonight without them - and she thought Piper would, too. She took Ben's hand with a smile and started walking to where she thought the pool was, an excited smile on her face. "I think... I think it's here. Iris said to go straight in and get ready for them to come."

She took her gaze away from the two of them when she heard Landon say that Iris and Lydia weer heading over and she smiled at her cousin. "Yeah, i wanna give everything the once over before Mia gets there." She smiled. She wanted the best for her sister, she always did.

She didn't want to lose Lydia - even if she might still have feelings for the other. Iris nodded as she looked between Landon and Iris, "You're coming too?" She asked Landon with a smile. Iris hadn't really talked to Landon all that much but she thought that more the merrier was definitely applied here.

Blake hadn't believed in most of the romantic notions - she knew her mother did and her expectations were far too high for all of that. Blake nodded her head. She hoped that it still meant the two of them could spend time together... so when he said as much, Blake smiled. "Yeah, that sounds good. I could never turn down champagne." Blake laughed. She held out her hand to him with a smile. Part of her wondered if she should be a little more cautious, because of Annie, but she didn't want to be.

She was glad that they were all able to celebrate her best friend. "Hey! Happy Birthday!" Ivy chimed and wrapped her arms around her best friend. She loved her own birthday so liked to make the most out of it for her friends, too.

AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Piper didn't think that she would regret this - but she knew that she would worry about it later. Right now, she just wanted to be with Ogie, she just wanted to enjoy her time with him. He was special to her. She didn't think that, that was something she should be upset about. "It's not great." Piper giggled, "And it's gone straight to my head. But I'm fine." she smiled at him. "I didn't think I was either but - i'm glad that I did." She nodded. She knew that she wouldn't mind her mind on that. She wanted to kiss Ogie - she would've regretted it if she didn't. "I bet!"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "That's one word for it, yeah." Grayson laughed. He thought that Iris and Lydia would throw the perfect party for Mia - maybe not if it was for Annie, though. Grayson loved all of the Saracens. They were like cousins so him, not just friends. He thought that it made sense, though, since both his mum and dad were so close with their parents. "Come on. Lets follow." He laughed.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Benjamin had no idea how tonight was going to go but he hoped that it was going to be good - and he thought that if he got to spend some time with Nancy, that it would be. He really did think that she was one of the most amazing people he had ever met. "Ah, perfect." Ben smiled as he nodded his head and held open the door for Nancy.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Lydia nodded her head as Annie spoke - although she'd never really spoken that much to the girl, it was clear she wanted the party to go well for her sister and Lydia loved organising stuff like this. "Okay perfect, we'll head down there now. I want to get the heat lamps and everything on, or people will be fucking freezing." She laughed. She didn't even go to this university, but a little bit of money went a long way. "Happy New Year, by the way." She laughed, forgetting that she hadn't said it yet. She started heading down to the pool immediately, knowing the others wouldn't be far behind.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Landon smiled as he saw Iris - he'd chatted to her briefly at the Halloween party and thought she seemed really nice, so it was nice to see her again. "Yeah, I thought I might as well tag along." He smiled. He'd met Mia more than a few times; he liked Annie's whole family and he was excited to celebrate that tonight. "How the hell have you guys managed to pull this off?" He chuckled. Annie had filled him in on the plan and he thought it was pretty genius.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Wren chuckled as Blake spoke, nodding his head. "I'm glad to hear it." He smiled. He liked that they had the promise of being alone together after the party, that they knew they both wanted to see each other again - he thought it was going to make the party even better. He took her hand as she held it out to him, pulling the girl a little closer to him as he walked. He genuinely didn't even think about this potentially not being nice for Annie; as far as he was concerned, she wasn't interested and she'd made that clear. He was just going to enjoy his night with Blake, now. "This is the perfect party for her - I wouldn't be surprised if she cannonballs right in there." He laughed, shaking his head.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Thanks!" Mia laughed as Ivy wished her a happy birthday, hugging her friend tightly as her arms went around her. "I'm so excited - where do you think we're all gonna go?!" She laughed, raising an eyebrow. She wondered if there was a plan yet, or if they were all going to figure it out as they went along. She was surprised that everybody seemed to be leaving right away - she hadn't even seen her siblings yet and she thought they would've been the first to wish her happy birthday, but she didn't mind. She was sure she would catch up with them at some point. She had no idea that they were actually heading off to surprise her.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Arlo loved birthdays; mostly his own, but he still felt a decent amount of excitement for everybody else's, too. Especially when there was a surprise party involved - he already felt pretty buzzed and he couldn't wait to get even more so. He hadn't told his parents about tonight's plans though, he didn't know if anybody else had told theirs, but he didn't want to risk anybody disapproving and trying to stop them. Technically, he knew they probably shouldn't be on school grounds without them knowing, but he thought that added to the fun. "Shut up, you love me!" He laughed, shaking his head as he heard his cousin. "I'm so excited, man! Does she suspect anything?"
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "We can get you some water or something when we're down there, I'm sure that'll help a bit." Ogie smiled, nodding his head - he knew Annie was involved with the planning, so there were bound to be at least a few bottles of water around in case anybody needed them. "I'm really glad you did." He laughed, a big smile on his face. This new year had started out so much better than he'd imagined. "Let's go, we don't wanna be the last ones there!" He smiled, slipping his hand into hers and beginning to follow the others.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Nancy had so much fun around Benjamin, he wasn't like the other boys she'd been with before - he was so different and she loved that. "Thank you." She smiled as he held the door open for her, her smile widening as she got inside to see everything they'd done with the place. "This is so perfect." She laughed, shaking her head. "I'm going to go and get changed, I'll meet you back out here?" She smiled, raising an eyebrow. She'd gotten Iris to put her bag with all of her things in, in the girls locker room so that she could get ready as soon as she got there. She thought this was going to be so much fun.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Annie knew that the Davenports had a bit of a reputation but from everything she had seen about the two of them, she quite liked them - particularly Lydia. She thought that - while she was sometimes a little harsh - she would always say what she meant and that was something to be admirable. "Oh yeah, good idea." Lydia laughed as she nodded her head. "Happy New Year." Annie smiled. "God -women on a mission forgetting our manners, huh?" She raised an eyebrow before she laughed again.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Iris had wished that she and Landon had been able to talk for a little while longer before she freaked out at the party - but she thought there was time for it now. She nodded, "Alright. Good." She smiled. "We need a few more intriguing people here." Because that was definitely what she thought about Landon. She found him intriguing and she wanted to get to know more about it. "Oh, we're geniuses' honestly. Plus - she's rich so she can get whatever she likes." Iris laughed, nodding to Lydia. Iris was pretty sure that her family were at least four times richer than her and her mum.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: The promise of them being on their own a little later was enough for Blake - for now. She just hoped nothing happened in the mean time to change his mind. She was having such a lovely time with him. And it was nice to know that he was the same. Blake smiled wider as he pulled her a little closer to him. She was more than happy with that, though. She was just glad to be spending time with him. "I could definitely see that." Blake laughed, "And Arlo would be in there right away after her, right?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Ivy couldn't wait to see Mias face when she realised that everyone was there for her - that it was a surprise party for her. She shrugged her shoulders as she looked around them. She thought that they might as well stall Mia for a little bit to give everyone a little bit of time to get ready ."I'm not sure. i'll text penny in a little bit and see where she's gone." She hoped that they would have enough time so that things could be perfect for when Mia got there. "Shall we get a couple shots? Bring in your birthday then find where everyones gone?
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Noah rolled his eyes in response to his cousin but he knew that it was true. Arlo was one of his favourite people on the planet, even if he did annoy him sometimes. He was the closest that Noah was ever going to get to a little brother, he knew that. "Absolutely nothing." Noah chuckled. "Probably it was a good thing that I was spending the night with her instead of you, right?" He nudged his cousin.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Yeah, maybe." Piper shrugged her shoulders. She didn't feel particularly bad, if she was honest - she was just definitely drunk. She was actually hoping for something else to drink but she didn't know if Ogie would like that or not. "I am too. I'd quite like to do it again..." She pouted, though, as they started to walk. Piper knew that she was saying things she wouldn't if she was sober but she didn't think that, that was a bad thing. "Do you think she'll like it?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Benjamin nodded his head, "Yeah, sounds good. I'll get us a drink sorted." He smiled as he looked at Nancy for a second. He thought that she was gorgeous and he thought that they were going to have a good night tonight - he just hoped the two of them were going to be able to spend a little bit more time together now they were away from most of her friends.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Lydia didn't go out of her way to be mean - and she didn't want to be seen as somebody people were scared of, but she also wasn't going to hold back on being her authentic self and she wasn't going to hide her opinions. She thought that was where her reputation came from. "It happens." She laughed, nodding her head as she shoved open the door. "It's pretty much all ready, I'm going to go round to the back and put the heat lamps and the lights on." She grinned. It looked so good, but she knew it would look even better when everything was on. She made her way around to the back and switched everything on, coming back out with a laugh when she came back out. "This is amazing!"
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Intriguing?" Landon asked with a little laugh, raising an eyebrow. He thought that was a pretty nice way to be described and he was definitely intrigued by Iris, too. "You must be, to get all of this together... Although yeah, being rich will definitely do the trick." He laughed, nodding his head. His smile widened as everything came on - they really had done a great job with the place. "Wow... This looks great."
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Wren thought that being at the party, knowing they were going to get to spend even more time together afterwards was such a nice promise - he just couldn't wait to kiss Blake again, it was all that was on his mind. "Oh, absolutely - I think a lot of them will be in there all night." He laughed, nodding his head. He liked the water, but he didn't think he was going to spend his whole night in the pool. He definitely wanted to get in, though. He tried to remember the directions Iris had given him, leading the way and holding open the door for Blake. "Hey, guys." He laughed as he saw the people already there, giving them a little wave. "Where are we going to change?"
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Yeah, where even is Penny? I haven't seen her since we got here." Mia laughed, shaking her head. It was unusual for the three of them to spend so much time apart on a night like this, but she supposed they'd both been a bit preoccupied. "Sounds good to me." She laughed as Ivy suggested shots, shrugging her shoulders. She hoped they didn't wait too long though, she didn't want everybody to end up going out without them. "What are you feeling?" She smiled as they reached the bar. She was just so excited for whatever was to come.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Arlo laughed as Noah rolled his eyes, rolling his back. He looked up to his cousin so much and he always loved being around him - he thought tonight would be especially fun. "Perfect!" He laughed as Noah confirmed that Mia had no idea about the party. "Hey, I wouldn't complain either way." He laughed, shrugging his shoulders. "But yeah, I absolutely would've slipped up and let the secret out." He laughed with a nod of his head. "Ooh, get tequila!"
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Ogie trusted that Piper knew herself better than he knew her, so he would take her word for it if she said she was alright - he hoped she trusted him enough to tell him if she didn't. He couldn't help but laugh as Piper said she wanted to kiss him again and although he was slightly bashful, he turned his head so that he could lean in and kiss her again gently. "She's going to love it. She's never had a surprise party before, she always ended up making one of us tell her." He laughed.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Perfect!" Nancy smiled, turning and going over to the locker rooms as quickly as she could. She'd put everything she could possibly need in her bag, so it didn't take her long to get changed and put her dress and heels in her bag, pulling her hair back into a ponytail and touching up her makeup. Even if they were going to be in the water, she still wanted to look good. She put her bag back where it had been and headed back out. "It didn't take people long to start arriving." She laughed, raising an eyebrow.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Annies eyes went wide as she saw the room. She thought that this was pretty perfect, honestly. SHe knew that her sister was going to love this. She gasped as all of the lights came on. "This is perfect, guys." She muttered, speaking to Lydia and Iris. She thought that they couldn't have done something more perfect. "We should get a few drinks sorted for everyone when they arrive." She nodded and moved over to where all of the drinks stood. She had mentioned to her parents that they were throwing Mia a surprise party at midnight but she hadn't told them where they were going and she felt so guilty about it.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Yeah. That's a high compliment if you ask me." Iris nodded. She thought that it meant that someone was interesting, that they wanted to know a little more about them. She definitely wanted to know more about Landon. Especially since he seemed nothing like his sister and that was something she thought was really interesting. Iris smiled as she looked around the room and heard Landon and she nodded her head, "Yeah, it's nice, right?" She chuckled.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Blake hoped that the mood that she was in right now, was something that would keep going. It felt so nice. She wondered if her mother had ever felt like this before -she didn't think that her parents that that kind of feeling before, at least not for one another. They loved one another but it was nothing special. "Mia will one hundred percent be here all night." Blake laughed. "But why not. Right?" She smiled as she looked at the others, "Hey." SHe chuckled before she nodded to the changing rooms. "I guess in there?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "I haven't seen her either but she'll show her face, i'm sure. She's probably getting herself in trouble." Ivy laughed. She loved both of her friends so much. They were two of the most fun people that she had ever been around and she couldn't wait for the three of them to spend some time together. "Oh you're brave." Ivy commented as she heard Noahs suggestion but she turned to the bar and ordered the four of them a shot of tequila each. "So - you two had a kiss, huh?" She raised an eyebrow, nudging her friend.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Really, Noah was quite looking forward to spending a little time with his cousin. He wouldn't really get along with someone like Arlo if he wasn't his cousin but Noah was always going to be someone that he looked after and spent time with him. "I know you would've. I'm surprised she's not heard you." Noah rolled his eyes and nodded as Arlo said about tequila. "We'll have this and then we'll find the others?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Piper smiled as Ogie lent in to kiss her again. Her heart literally fluttered every single time he kissed her. She hated that she had managed to mess things up - but she hoped that this might be a step back in the right direction. She just didn't know what she was going to do when her friends asked her about it, when they started picking at her about it. "Oh has she not? That's so exciting!"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Benjamin didn't think he was going to get in the water, if he was honest, so he didn't think he would get changed right away. He poured himself and then Nancy a drink and smiled as he heard her voice. "Guess people are just excited to get started?" He chuckled. "You look lovely, though." He nodded. He really did think that Nancy was the most gorgeous person.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Lydia laughed as she heard Annie, nodding her head. "It's fucking cool, right?" She didn't think it was a big deal that they were in here, as long as they came back tomorrow and cleaned up before anybody came in after Christmas - it was going to be absolutely fine. "Yeah good idea, get your sister a drink for when she gets here." She grinned. "And we should get changed, so we're ready." She nodded her head. She definitely wanted to be ready to party as soon as the fun began. "Wait, who's actually getting her here?" She asked with a laugh, realising that her sister was already here. She had figured it would be Annie getting the birthday girl there and she wondered if one of them needed to go out and find her.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "I definitely take it as one, don't worry." Landon laughed, nodding his head as he spoke to Iris. He thought she was very intriguing - she was beautiful and she hung around with his sister and her friends, yet she seemed nothing like any of them. He couldn't imagine her being any more intriguing, if he was honest. "Really nice. How did you even think of doing something something like this?" He laughed. He didn't think he'd ever be able to come up with something this out of the box.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Wren didn't think he'd felt like this in quite a while - although he'd really liked Annie it had been shut down before it even started and that just wasn't the case with Blake. They both felt the same, he could feel that when he kissed her - and he was so excited to find out what was going to happen between them. "Oh, absolutely - they're going to have to drag her out. And probably make sure she gets dry, because she's going to freeze to death otherwise." He laughed, shaking his head. He thought she was going to have the most incredible night. "Right, perfect. I'll meet you back out here in a couple of minutes?"

Mia laughed, shaking her head - if it got too late tonight, she thought she'd go back and stay at the flat the three of them shared anyway, so she'd see Penny then. But she would definitely like to be able to party with her for a bit as well. She laughed as she heard the suggestion of tequila - it was probably her favourite thing to shot, so she had no complaints there. She rolled her eyes as Ivy nudged her, but she couldn't help laughing. "What, have you been spying on me?" She laughed, shaking her head. "Everybody kisses at midnight on New Years Eve!"
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Arlo's favourite thing about tonight was that only the best group of people had been invited to the after party - there weren't tons of annoying people they didn't know, it was just them and he knew they were going to have so much fun. "Am I being loud?" He laughed as Noah said they might hear him, miming zipping up his mouth and throwing away the key. "Yeah, perfect. Six tequila's please!" He beamed at the bartender. "One each, three for the birthday girl." He laughed, shrugging his shoulders.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Ogie had never felt the way he did when he kissed Piper before - he liked her so much, even though he'd been so hurt when she decided to go to the dance with somebody else. "Nope! She's going to love it, really. Especially because she just thinks we're all going out somewhere." He laughed, shaking his head. "I think it's just through here?" He said quietly, pushing open the door and smiling as he saw Annie. "Yeah, this is it!" He laughed.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Nancy wanted to get in the water, but she didn't really want to get her hair or her face wet - so she wasn't going to be in there when things got boisterous, which she thought would happen pretty quickly. "They must be!" She laughed, taking her drink with a grateful smile. "Oh, thank you - feels kind of weird being out here in swimming stuff when it's freezing outside, but at least it's warm in here." She laughed.

AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Annie nodded her head as she looked to Lydia with a smile. "It's really amazing. You guys outdid yourself." She had no idea what people would say if they found out what they were all doing in here but she thought that it was going to be fund, regardless. She was really trying to let go of the side of her who wanted to be good, always. She wanted to have fun with her sister. She thought that the other deserved that. Annie nodded and started to move towards the changing rooms when she heard the other "Ivy." She chuckled. She'd already mentioned to the other girl to get Mia to the pool in a little bit.

For as long as she had known Iris, she thought that she might have spoke to Landon once or twice and it was obvious how different he was to his parents and sister - so of course that was intriguing to her. Iris wondered if he thought something similar to her. She wasn't like any of her friends, really. Surrounding yourself with friends that were different, was a lot of fun. "It was Lydia - she's the genius behind it." She laughed. "I just made sure we had all of the alcohol."

AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Blake wondered what Wren was thinking after the kiss - but she thought that it was impossible for him not to feel the same as her after that kiss. It certainly seemed like he did, anyway. "Am I the only one concerned about all the alcohol and the water though?" She was mostly joking, though. But part of her couldn't help but wonder if that had been thought through. "Yeah, sounds good." She nodded. "I'll see you in a minute." Blake smiled before she moved into the changing rooms.

She knew that they were going to have fun. She always had fun when the three of them were together. Ivy laughed as she heard Arlo and nodded her head in approval before she turned back to Mia, "I might have been." She smirked. "Maybe but you guys looked very cosy. That's all I'm saying." Ivy laughed

They'd be able to have fun and spend time with people who he actually liked - Like Mia and Nancy and Arlo. "You're always loud." Noah said. He thought that, that was what came with being his mothers son but he knew better than to say that. "Fucking hell, Mias gonna be on the floor!"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Piper really had no idea what she could do about any of the situation that she was in right now but she was going to do whatever she could to make herself sort it out --- but not today. She had, had too much to drink and she just wanted to spend time with Ogie. She didn't think that, that was unfair. "Oh yeah, then she'll love it." Piper laughed as she nodded her head. Piper smiled as she saw the others, "Oh look at it." She squealed."
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Benjamin thought that he'd still be able to enjoy himself if he weren't in the pool. Especially since he was gonna have a drink in his hand for most of it. He thought that it was gonna get mad sooner rather than later - which he thought might be pretty fun, if he was honet. "It's surprising how warm it is in here. I definitely didn't expect that." He laughed.

She thought she and Iris were a pretty unstoppable team - and if she wasn't so set on acting as a career, she thought she could definitely go into party planning. The same with Iris and Law. If she was honest, she was quite surprised that Annie was so okay with all of this, considering they had literally broken into the university - but she wasn't going to question it. "Makes sense." She nodded, before she slipped into the changing rooms to get ready. It didn't take too long and she was out within five minutes, opening a bottle of vodka and pouring herself a strong drink.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Landon was used to the people who knew his sister being disappointed that he wasn't like her - they all expected somebody fun and bubbly and he just wasn't, but with Iris she didn't seem disappointed at all. "Well, I can definitely see how that makes sense... Rich people always know how to throw good parties." He laughed, raising an eyebrow. "Ah, but that's the most important part. And it looks like there's plenty here." He laughed as he looked around. He was sure it would all be gone by the end of the night, though.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "I'm the same - I'm going to keep an eye out, make sure nothing happens." Wren smiled - he wasn't sure if Blake had been joking or not, but he wasn't. He thought people were probably going to go a little bit crazy tonight, with being on university grounds and being in the water and he was definitely going to watch out to make sure nobody got hurt. "See you soon." He smiled as Blake moved off, going off on his own to get changed. He'd just brought a basic pair of swimming trunks - he was never really shy about the way he looked and he had no qualms about being out there in his trunks.

She didn't really care about a gift though, she would just be happy to see her best friend on her birthday. "You're so nosy!" She laughed, shaking her head. "Oh, shut up." She laughed with a roll of her eyes. She clearly didn't mind though. "Those are all mine?" She laughed as she heard the boys, raising an eyebrow. She knew she was going to be drunk pretty instantly, but she reached for them anyway, laughing.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "It's one of my best features." Arlo laughed, although he was obviously joking - he had always been loud and he didn't think he could change that now. "I won't give it away though, I'll be good." He chuckled. He was already dying to give up the surprise and he didn't even know why - he was just so excited about it. He laughed as his cousin spoke, nodding his head. "That's the point! That's what a birthday is all about!" He grinned. He always liked being totally blackout drunk on his birthday, so he thought everybody else deserved the same.

Ogie asked with an interested little smile - he always liked finding things out about people and Piper was one of his favourite people to learn about. "It looks so cool!" He laughed as he looked around. He thought the girls had done an amazing job. "And it's so nice and warm as well! We should go and get changed before she gets here." He smiled. He thought Annie would want everything to be ready when Mia got there.

Nancy laughed, raising an eyebrow - her parents definitely weren't poor, but sometimes she thought she'd love for her family to have as much money as Lydia's did. It seemed like anything was achievable when you had that amount of wealth. "It's going to go so crazy as soon as it properly starts." She laughed. She clearly couldn't wait - she thought it was going to be so much fun, she just couldn't wait for everybody to get there now.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "You're setting a precedent now, you know?" Annie asked, raising an eyebrow. "You're gonna have to continue topping yourself until it's impossible to get better." She laughed. Yes, Annie was a bit of a stickler for the rules but this was her for her sister and she would always do anything for Mia. And she knew that her sister would absolutely love this. Annie felt really nervous about being in front of everyone in her swimming costume but she knew that she couldn't be the only one to stay in her party stuff so she moved into the changing rooms, despite herself.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: If Iris was honest, she thought that Landon was probably more interesting than Piper. She loved her friend but she sometimes found herself getting annoyed with her. Piper knew that if it wasn't for her friendship with Nancy, then she probably wouldn't have been popular in the first place. But the two of them had come as a package deal, you got both or you got none. "There's enough to last, anyway." Iris laughed, shrugging her shoulders. She knew these people well enough to know that they probably will drink it all. "Do you wanna grab a drink?" She smiled.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Of course you are." Blake nodded her head. "That's the most you thing I've ever heard." She chuckled. She liked that Wren wanted to look after people, though. She thought that it was a really, really admirable trait. "See you soon." Blake nodded, stepping into the changing rooms. She had absolutely no qualms with her body so she had no problem in wearing her bikini. It didn't take her long to get changed and move back into the main room.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "I thought that might have been the case." Ivy laughed, as she smiled at her friend. She knew that Penny would make the effort to see her friend tonight though. Ivy couldn't wait to see her either, though. "You say that like you don't know me. Are you joking?" She raised an eyebrow. Before she laughed. She had always been pretty nosy, she liked to know other peoples business. "Never!" She winked at her friend before she took the shot that was placed in front of her. "Happy Birthday!" Ivy beamed, and knocked back her shot.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Sure it is." Noah muttered, his face completely straight as he did, though. He would never be totally mean about Arlo but sometimes, he just wasn't in the mood to deal with him. "Alright, shut up then" He laughed and turned to the bar, nodding his head slightly as he looked down at Mias shots, "Sure they are. That's what birthdays are for." He chuckled.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "My mum and dad threw me a circus themed party for me when I was twelve. It was so much fun. They got me a clown, candy floss, popcorn, everything!" She laughed. Piper had always loved the circus and it was still the same now. "It does, huh?" She raised an eyebrow as she looked around the room. She thought that Mia was absolutely going to love this. "Oh, yeah. I'll be back in a second." Piper smiled.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Good." Benjamin nodded his head. He thought that they would've all frozen if they hadn't been able to turn the heat lamps on - but he was definitely glad that they had. His parents had a decent amount of money but it was nothing compared to what Lydia and her family had. It seemed mad to him, if he was honest. "Do you recon she's gonna be here soon?"
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "I like that, though. It means I don't have any room to cop out, everything is going to be more fun than the last time. Isn't that what we all want?" Lydia laughed, raising an eyebrow. She was a perfectionist and she loved the idea of just getting better and better. She had never had any confidence issues with the way she looked - she worked out often and she saw no reason to be shy in her swimming stuff. She was just excited to kick things off now.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Landon had never envisioned himself being able to get along with any of his little sisters friends; they didn't even get along well themselves, he could hardly ever think of anything to talk about - so finding Iris actually interesting and wanting to spend time around her felt totally alien to him. He could hardly see why she and Piper were friends. "Always a good sign. How many people have you invited?" He asked, looking around. There were enough people there to make it a party, but not too many - he hoped there weren't loads more coming. "That sounds great, yeah. Lead the way." He smiled.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Wren laughed, shrugging his shoulders almost bashfully. "I've known pretty much all of these people for too long not to be worried about what they're going to get up to after they've had a drink." He laughed, raising an eyebrow. "My dad wouldn't forgive me if I didn't at least try to look out for them all." Especially the Saracens, he thought. He was in and out of the changing room in minutes and soon headed back over to Blake with a smile. "Wow, you look - incredible." He smiled.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Mia laughed as Ivy spoke, nodding her head in defeat. "You're right, you've always been nosy as hell." She laughed, nudging her friend jokingly. There wasn't really much the three girls didn't share though, especially since they'd moved in together, so she didn't care. "What, blacking out?" She laughed as she heard Noah, but it was clear she didn't care anyway. She did the first shot without so much as a wince, pulling a face as the second two went down. "Right - do we go now?"
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Arlo laughed as his cousin kept a straight face, rolling his eyes playfully - he liked to believe his cousin was joking, although sometimes he was one hundred percent sure that he was annoying him. "Shutting up now!" He laughed as Noah instructed him to, but he couldn't help laughing at the same time. He knocked back his own shot with a wince, turning to Ivy with a grin. "Let's go!" He agreed. He was so excited to get in the water - he had always loved anything like this, but especially since he was drunk and they were at the uni.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "A circus themed party?! No way, that sounds like so much fun!" Ogie laughed, raising an eyebrow. "I used to love it when my parents would throw me those parties, I miss stuff like that." He chuckled. His parents had always thrown amazing parties. "So you like the circus, then?" He smiled. Ogie thought that was so fun. "Me too! See you soon!" He hurried over to get changed and then rushed back, not wanting to miss his sister coming in.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Nancy was so glad that she'd pretty much managed to ditch her date - and now that she'd had a few drinks, she didn't really care what people thought of her spending so much time with Ben, either. Although she knew that in the morning, she'd probably be paranoid and waiting for a message from her friends. "She should be - Ivy's the one in charge of getting her here. Although Arlo still isn't here, so she's probably distracted." She rolled her eyes. She knew that Ben and Ivy had been together before and even though they weren't together, Nancy still didn't like it.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "You definitely seem like someone that likes a challenge." Annie laughed. She thought that she might buck under the pressure of something like this but Lydia and Iris had done such a terrific job. Annie didn't think she could ever do something that would live up to something like this. Annie was all too aware of her genes. Her father, her grandfather, her brother - they were all a bit chubby. She knew that it would be so easy for her to go that way too. She signed as she looked at herself with in the costume. She knew that she couldn't stay in the changing rooms for the entire night though so she sighed and moved back into the main room. "Mia shouldn't be long." She muttered.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Growing up, Iris had thought that Landon was a little weird - but talking to him more made her think differently. He was a really interesting person and she wanted to spend more time with him. She looked around them at Landons question. "Only a couple more should be coming - they're with Mia though, so." She shrugged her shoulders. She thought that it was a good amount of people. Not too many, not too little. She liked that. Iris nodded and started towards the changing rooms.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Blake really liked that Wren cared so much about his friends - but she thought that it made sense. She had known the Saracens for a long time too but her mum wasn't nearly as close to them as Gomezs parents were. She smiled widely as she heard his compliment. "Thank you." She laughed. "I figured it was time to crack out a new bikini and what better reason for right now, huh?" She felt really good in what she was wearing and she liked that Wren had complimented her. "Do you want a drink? Or should we take a dip before the madness begins?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Ivy shrugged her shoulders, "Blame my mother." It was quite often that Audrey and Ivy would stay up late, while they both informed one another of the gossip that they had. It was some of her most favourite times. She adored her mum. When Ivy found out about how her dad had treated her mum, she had been so mad at him. Ivy nodded, wrapped her arm around Arlos waist and pointed forwards, "Onwards! Penny has told me where they've all gone. Come on." She smiled at her friend before she started towards the pool. She was so excited now.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Noah did sometimes find Arlo annoying but he was family and despite how he may act sometimes, that was everything to him. He would do anything for Arlo. "Good." Noah nodded. He laughed, though, as he looked at Mia, "It's not that bad!" He muttered. Alcohol hadn't really bothered him all that much. He had been drinking with his uncle, every so often, before he was officially allowed too. It was nothing to him now.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Yeah! It was so much fun. I think I might have it again for my next birthday, you know? Costumes, all the circus food, a big top. The whole lot!" Piper laughed. She had no idea if she'd be able to afford all of that but she thought that it sounded fun, anyway. "Who says we can't have a party like that now?" She raised an eyebrow. She hated that things that were fun, were things that you were supposed to grow out off. Piper quickly got changed, eager to talk to Ogie. And once they were both out of the changing rooms again, she picked up the conversation where they left it. "I love the circus. I go with my dad every single time it's in town."
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Benjamin had thought that Nancy would've gone to her friends as soon as they got to the pool but he was pleasantly surprised that she was still there with him. Benjamin nodded as Nancy mentioned Ivy. He hadn't really forgiven the girl for cheating on him and he didn't really like talking about her - even if it wasn't about their situation. "I guess we'll see then, right?" He raised an eyebrow.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Lydia didn't think that she and Annie were the type of people who could ever be friends, not really - they were too different. But that didn't mean she didn't like her, that she didn't think she was a good person - it was quite clear that she was. "Knowing those four, very." She laughed, raising an eyebrow. She couldn't imagine them walking in sober, by any means. She thought that probably made it all the more fun, though.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Landon laughed, nodding his head in agreement. "You're right, I think that would've ruined the surprise a little bit." He grinned. He found Iris really funny, he liked being around her - he hoped he'd get to spend a lot more time with her tonight. "Vodka sounds good to me." He nodded. He didn't really have a particular drink of choice - he wasn't fussy and vodka would definitely do the trick right now.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Wren couldn't imagine growing up like Blake had, so separate from most of these people - he felt like he knew most of them like family, so he thought it must be quite strange for Blake to not know many of them all that well. "Well, he seems a little busy talking to Piper. I don't think he'd want to pause that any time soon." He smiled, shrugging his shoulders as he walked over to pour them both a drink. He thought Piper and Ogie were an incredibly sweet pair.

Mia agreed with a laugh; often, she had gone to Ivy's mum for advice if she found that she didn't want to tell her own mum something - and she had always helped her out. "Tell me about it." She laughed as Noah called himself a hypocrite, a teasing smile on her face. "Alright, if you're sure... Just seems like a weird place to meet." She shrugged her shoulders slightly. She couldn't understand why they would all go down here, but it wasn't like she was going to dictate where they all went.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Arlo had to try and stifle a laugh as his cousin looked at him, especially when Mia started questioning why they were going down by the pool - he was never very good at keeping secrets and this was definitely one of those times. He covered his mouth with his hand until he managed to regain his composure, keeping a straight face. "Alright, they're just in here." He smirked as he opened the door, waiting for the others to go in. He couldn't wait until they actually got in there.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Perfect! I'll help. If you want?" Ogie smiled hopefully - he didn't know what this meant for him and Piper, but he definitely hoped they were back on track. They had kissed, after all - surely that meant something? Especially since she was spending time with him now. "We have loads. We have a lot of silly ones, but some nice ones too." He laughed. "Our main one is games night every Friday - it gets very competitive." He chuckled.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: "Imagine being late to your own surprise party." Nancy laughed, shaking her head. She thought it was pretty funny, to be honest - and very in character for that group of people. She laughed as Benjamin agreed with her - she was pretty sure everybody knew how impatient her brother was. "I think I can hear them?" She raised an eyebrow as she heard voices outside the door, turning to look at Iris to see if she'd heard it too.

AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Annie knew that she and Lydia were never going to be friends but that didn't mean that she wouldn't be nice to her. She was someone who always treated people with kindness - unless they gave her a reason not too. "I thought so." Annie laughed as she looked from Lydia to the pool. She was starting to wonder if them getting drunk by the pool was all that good an idea but she knew that she couldn't cancel everything now. She would just have to make sure that she kept an eye on everything. She put down her glass with a sigh. She needed to be sober for tonight, she thought.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Iris laughed along with Landon before she nodded her head, "Yeah, exactly. See - I'm not just a pretty face." She shrugged her shoulders before she laughed again. She was really enjoying talking to Landon. She thought that he was a really interesting person so be around and she was glad that they were talking more. "Okay - but I make them strong. And I don't want to hear any whining about it." She smiled as she looked up at Landon. Iris was just glad that her mum and Johnny were together tonight - otherwise she knew that she wouldn't have been able to stay there for much longer.

She felt like she had to be outgoing and know how to talk to everyone because if she didn't she would have no-one. SHe was almost glad of it. She smiled, though, as she looked over at Ogie and Piper and nodded her head, "They're really cute. Don't you think?"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: *continued from annie* She looked down at her phone as it buzzed. "They're almost here!" She called to the others with a smile. She was so excited now.

And she absolutely couldn't wait for it. She smiled as she listened to what Ogie had to say. She thought that it was sweet that the Saracens had a lot of traditions. If any family was going too - it was going to be the Saracens. "Oh I love that so much." Piper smiled. "Board games? Which one is your favourite?" She asked him. She thought that it was a lot of fun, to play games with your family. She liked that Ogie had that with his family.

One of the things that had annoyed him the most about his relationship with Ivy, was how she was never able to be on time. This seemed to be another one of those times, it seemed. He raised an eyebrow as he heard Annie and nodded his head, looking back to Nancy. "Looks like it. We'll see soon." He chuckled, nodding his head.

She was looking forward to getting the party started - and she was definitely a little buzzed already which absolutely helped set the mood a little bit. "After you." Ivy laughed, as she looked at Mia.

He knew that Mia was joking - or at least he thought that she was, anyway. "Happy Birthday." Noah muttered, with a nod of his head as he looked towards the door. He knew that Mia had absolutely no idea - which was the fun part about all of this.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Mia narrowed her eyes slightly as they stopped at the pool door, waiting to see if there was some kind of joke she wasn't getting - she was so confused about why they were here and nobody seemed to be offering her an explanation. "This is really weird, guys." She laughed, shaking her head. She was even more confused as Noah spoke, raising an eyebrow before she shrugged her shoulders and pushed the door open, her mouth dropping open as she saw what was inside. She couldn't believe it and instantly, she let out a loud laugh as she saw all of her friends around. "No way?!" She laughed, looking from the three she'd come in with and back to the pool full of people, her face lighting up as she looked over to her sister and cousin. "No way?!"
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Arlo was practically bursting with excitement as the door opened and he heard everybody shouting surprise - he was almost envious of Mia, he would've absolutely loved this kind of party for himself and he hoped his friends took notes. "Fucking hell, everything looks incredible!" He laughed, immediately looking over to find Iris and make eye contact with her. She was with Landon and the first thing he noticed was that he felt jealous. He pushed that aside and continued to look around, shaking his head. "Fucking hell, this looks incredible!" He beamed.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Lydia raised an eyebrow as Annie put her glass down, but she didn't say anything - it wasn't like she could tell her to drink and she wasn't about to. "They're nearly here?!" She asked with a smile as Annie spoke, her eyes trained on the door to see when they were all coming in. "Surprise!" She cried along with everybody else as the girl walked in, laughing as she saw her reaction. "You think she's surprised, then?" She laughed as she looked to Annie, a smile on her face.

He didn't know where the sudden confidence had come from, but he wanted Iris to know how interesting he found her - there was a lot more to her than just being pretty. "Who said I was going to whine?" He laughed, shaking is head as he took the drink. He took a sip and looked at her with a little smirk, raising an eyebrow. He shouted along with everybody else as Mia came in, laughing as he looked to Iris. "So it all went to plan, then?" He grinned.

In many ways, Ogie felt like a little brother to him - and he really liked to see him happy, which he clearly was with Piper. "Here they are!" He smiled and pointed towards the door as he saw it opening, laughing loudly as he saw Mia's reaction. "Surprise!" He shouted out, along with everybody else. He thought the whole idea of a surprise party was lovely and it was clear how happy she was. He couldn't help looking over to Annie, smiling as he saw her face.
WMH LK MS LD MHS OS DA NH AG: Nancy smiled slightly as Benjamin spoke about Ivy, nodding her head - she didn't say anything though, she was preoccupied by the door opening. She surprised-d along with the others, a smile on her face as she watched the four of them walk in. She thought Annie, Iris and Lydia had pulled this off perfectly and the girl definitely seemed surprised. "Well, she's definitely surprised!" She laughed.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "Surprise!" Annie cried as soon as she saw her sister. She felt like bursting as she saw the look on her sisters face. She knew that Mia had, had no idea about what was going to happen and Annie loved that. She laughed and nodded as she looked up at Lydia, "oh yeah, absolutely. She didn't expect a thing." Her smile didn't fall until she looked around the room and met Wrens eyes. They hadn't spoke really since the kiss and she didn't really know what to do about it. She couldn't give him what he wanted so she thought that this way was just easier.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Ivy laughed loudly as she saw the look on Mias face, "See! I told you we knew where we were going." She felt so happy for Mia. She thought that her friend deserved to have a night that was just about her and this was definitely that. She liked how excited everyone seemed for her as well. "Did you even have a little bit of an idea?" She asked with a raise of an eyebrow. Because Ivy thought that the three of them had done such a good job of keeping this a secret - and Annie, Iris and Lydia had done well planning it too.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Noah held back a little as Mia and the others went into the swimming pool. He didn't want to be in the line of all of that attention. He wasn't someone who would shy away from being the centre of attention but he wanted Mia to get to be the centre of it all. He thought that it was her birthday, so it made sense for her to be central. After a couple minutes though, he stepped in and smiled at Mia, "Told you - happy birthday."
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: "I honestly thought that you were about to say that you never thought I was even that." Iris laughed. She had no issues with her confidence. She didn't think she was anything special but she knew that she wasn't ugly. She just thought that it was pretty funny, if she was honest. But she liked to know that he at least thought that she was pretty. "I was just trying to cut it off before you started." She shrugged her shoulders. Iris shouted along with everyone else and nodded her head before she turned back to Landon, "Yeah, all to plan!"
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Blake nodded as she listened to Wren. She thought that the was that Wren spoke about Ogie - and most of the Saracens - was really sweet. She liked how close they all were. She thought that, that was really, really special. Blake smiled as she looked back to the door. "Surprise!" She laughed as she shouted. She thought that a surprise party was such a lovely idea and the look on Mias face was absolutely worth it.
AS NH BAM GC IS BA PK IK TD: Benjamin smiled as he turned to the door and smiled. He thought that Mias face was a perfect picture and he loved that. He loved that people were so excited about her that they would go to this effort. "Yeah, you think?" He asked with a raise of an eyebrow. "And now the party begins, right?" Benjamin wasn't the biggest partier but he thought that they could all have fun, anyway.

She looked to Ogie then - loving the look on his face as he looked to his sister. "Do you wanna get in the pool?" She asked him with a laugh. She thought that the two of them were going to have a lot of fun tonight. She hoped that they could, anyway.
