For real tho health freaks who scream about how sugar and salt will kill us all and try to push for restrictions on things like candy and chips for SNAP recipients or politicians who try from time to time to replace food stamps all together and give out Government Approved Staples like bread and peanut butter and Government Cheese are gonna kill a whole lotta sick and disabled people like

POTS sufferers
Hypotensives
People with peanut allergies
People with celiac disease or wheat allergies
The lactose intolerant
People who can't eat solid food
People who are undernourished for any reason and need all the calories they can pack on
So-called "picky eaters" who can't tolerate certain tastes and textures without getting violently ill
A myriad of other human conditions that cannot be neatly tallied into categories because the human body and human experience is vast and infinitely variable
But I don't think ableds really care about us and our health like they like to claim so they can harass us about it, do you?

something about how when a guy sonic character has nothing going for him in canon or is from a game people dont like people will flesh him out and write 500 page fanfictions about him detailing their au backstory for him anyway. if he does something really really bad whether it was a mistake or fully intentional people are willing to think about and understand why he did what he did. or theyll just ignore it entirely or blame it on bad writing. but when a girl sonic character does any of those same things shes treated like the spawn of satan
#and im not saying you should never ever do any of the things i just mentioned#sometimes its fun to see what you can do with a character that sega themselves neglects#sometimes things can be blamed on bad writing#but how come when shadow does somehting people dont like its blamed on the writers not shadow himself#but when amy does something people dont like they always take it out on the character and dont blame it on the writing#or when knuckles or silver fall for a villains tricks its fine they were manipulated its not their fault#but when lanolin does the same thing shes stupid and mean and all that stuff#people like mephiles but hate elise even though theyre both from sonic 06 and never appeared in another game after that#people will be obsessed with characters like infinite and gadget for reasons they literally made up#but then ignore any girl character that they think is boring or underdeveloped#like. hellooooooo is anyone else seeing this. am i imagining all of it

I truly apologise but I've never found a character more irritating than Ruby Rocks. It is severely impacting my ability to watch a crown of candy because this bratty literally-the-embodiment-of-the-status-quo bitter bastard child won't stop sulking and being shitty to the only good surviving member of this royal bloodline (Saccharina).
The immediate Rocks family in general is so unsympathetic, I'm sorry but if you want me to feel bad over your personal growth journey you can't ALSO be a monarch who has absolute power over an entire nation-state. If you had literally the best education of everyone in your country and you're still an idiot I don't know what to tell you except that you're a resource hoarding pig who has not earned an iota of the power or luxury you have. It still makes me mad BTW that we're supposed to be rooting for Elizabeth's plan when the plane crash is just. Morally gross to me. Like you can sit here debating over Rapture, the innocence of the population, if Elizabeth's hand in the war was the spark that lit the flame or the punctuation mark on a sentence--but none of that changes the fact that the plane crash does not happen with Fontaine's input--which means it doesn't happen without Elizabeth putting the gun in Fontaine's hand.
The writers had her look through all of time to see the ending and gloss over the fact she had to approve of the death of 90 people for 1. She rationalized those lives away so she could die feeling better about herself. It's dumb writing! And they don't even bring it up! The people on the plane crash don't matter! They don't get acknowledged, they're just a a footnote in the grand scheme of tying canon in a knot. It's the complete opposite of Infinite's ending where the multiverse comes before one person, now one person is more important than everyone else.

#please ignore this as its just me needing to vent it out somewhere where it feels like i can be forgotten but#looking for a support group for people who've been in abusive relationships is fucking hard when you ID as a guy most of the time#i found a pretty big number of groups for women but very few options for men#and im not saying that its unfair or anything like that. this isnt one of those rants#but it would be nice to have a group of just Queer people who can come together and be there in group#so that at least it feels safe to vent and just......be. you know?#and what's more frustrating AF about it is that sooooo many of the incredible people (primarily women) who were kind enough#to teach me about feminism. would bring it to my attention that its not fair and that we should have a safe space#and they were infinitely more helpful than a single Red Pill misogynistic asshole bro or whatever tf they call themselves#idk. now im just rambling incoherently#i just.......want to vent the bullshit trauma so it stops bothering me so much in a safe space with people who understand#thats all i ask for and it sometimes feels impossible. 😕
