Hot 4am take but I feel like if we want to get people more interested in making their yards a more habitable space for wildlife like insects, we have to acknowledge that ‘Don’t want bugs in your house’ is still a 100% fair and valid point of view. ‘Loves nature’ and ‘doesn’t want roaches spiders and mosquitoes in the house’ aren’t opposites.
And with that in mind, when we propose to people that spraying pesticides around houses is Not A Good Idea, Actually, I feel like we need to give an alternative asides from ‘deal with it.’

so. i love this line.
but i want to talk about her expressions after gideon asks if she's alright:
i dont know. throughout the first season, elle expresses the strongest negative feelings towards sex offenders (reasonable!) and sure, she came from a unit dealing specifically with that and that's her specialty (remember when all the characters had specific skill sets and specialties?) but especially this reaction here seems very personal. and this is pre-randall garner, so she doesn't yet have that connection to being attacked in her own home.
also. the team knows sexual offense crimes are elle's specialty. they know that's where she came from. but her response to gideon when he asks if she's okay after she goes off on scott isn't "i've seen a lot of this and it gets me riled up" it's to get defensive and evasive. if it was anger born of something the team is aware of, why hide it? her response to gideon and her expression afterwards very much read to me as someone hiding something.

Just noticed that in Astarion's little corner in Elfsong Tavern, he has a mirror on the wall (behind the training dumby beside his bed), and no one else has one in their little nook, just him. The one person who can't use it.

this play through is giving me more andy and nate feelings than i have ever had. often i think about how andy stands against adam [and of course mason. even a bit against felix -- in that how felix and he don't gel, very often], in that andy internally can be quite similar to adam even if he doesn't present as such.
but sadly idky i never fully considered about said presentation and how it gels with nate. and how his friendship with nate is probably two like birds gravitating to each other, rather than it simply being about andy liking nate because he is the steadiest/easiest to deal with/calmest new variable.
