Call me crazy, say im projecting my own nativeness onto asoif characters BUT I have always thought the first men and wildlings were meant to represent like indigenous peoples like the Inuit and inuvuliat. Like the dark hair and dark eyes and paler skin, i read that shit and went “oh so they are just Inuit. Got it 😁”. And APPARENTLY people think im wrong for that. but when phil fit and the eggs talking to bob and they commented about his haircut and make over Q!Phil is first to point out the ankle bracelet (gps) and telling him about it that he being located all the time and saying “srry I didn’t how to tell you that” , that reminded me to c!Philza when he was put under house arrest he was given kinda the same thing ankle monitor , I think it’s was the first thing he noticed other than ofc bob hair(lol)

Okay idk if anyone’s brought this up before or not but either way I’m going to.

So for reasons I was gonna design a ninja outfit or whatever for Morro for s8 for my au.

And I was looking at the outfits for the others for s8 and they all have writing on them so of course I look it up so I can incorporate into Morro’s design. So what I didn’t know is that all the writing in ninjago (or most of it at least) is called ninjargon and it’s basically like a made up alphabet or whatever. Now where it really gets interesting is when I go to translate the writing on the ninja’s s8 outfits.

At first it starts out normal. Nya, Cole, and Zane all just have their element on their torsos and the first letter of their element on their hoods (Zane’s is partially obscured by his belt but I’m pretty sure that’s an E):

Kai’s is the same, except instead of an F on his hood it’s an H???

Then there’s Jay who’s just:

What??? It’s possible that the word is partially obscured by the armor and/or belt but still??

And then Lloyd:

NINJA and LL?? I just can’t anymore 😂

Anyways that’s what I did today.

Here’s the cypher I used that’s on the ninjargon wiki page. As well as a link for a translator since some of the letters were inconsistent in the way they were written.
