"Does this look good?" I say to Azzi "yes now you can look all nice for your little girlfriend" "she's not my girlfriend" I say rolling my eyes.
"I think we should go to Victoria's Secret, I've been needing some new underwear,” Azzi says. “Oh my God yes,” I said excitedly. We walk into Victoria's Secret and Azzi immediately goes to the underwear, while I walk around looking at pajama sets. I look around a little bit more when I see a lingerie set that catches my eye.
All of a sudden Paige calls me “Hey, where are you and Azzi right now?” she says sounding bored “Hi Paige, me and Azzi are in Victoria's Secret right now” I say to her “Ouuu Victoria Secret you gonna send me sum” she says with a smirk ” stop it paige” I say blushing. Azzi comes over smiling “Who has you cheesing and blushing like that?” she says with a smile I start giggling “I'm making you blush in the middle of the store?” Paige teases me. Azzi immediately gets who I'm talking to and walks away “Paige can you please” I say desperately she laughs “What am I making you all worked up?” she says, I respond smiling “Paige goodbye”
I immediately go back to the lingerie set that caught my eye a few moments ago “I need to try this on immediately” I say to myself I go up to the changing rooms and ask for a dressing room I undress and I try it on loving how it looks as soon as I put it on I take some pics so I can send them to Azzi later I'm so excited it was a bit pricey for a college student but I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I immediately went to find Azzi, I tell her all about the call with Paige and she starts teasing me.
I've had a crush on Paige since freshman year but we've been friends for what feels like forever It has always been me Paigeand Azzi and I'm scared to admit my feelings for Paigeeven tho Azzi says she feels the same I'm Just really scared to put our friendship at risk I can't even think about what I would do myself without paige she's always been the light of my life
After the teasing, I tell Azzi all about the lingerie set and how I'll send her pictures later to get a sneak peek. Her face lights up. We go to Sephora and a sneaker store where I buy myself a pair of Black Cat. I've always loved these sneakers so I treated myself.
Nika calls me “Girl are we going out tonight?” sounding tired Nahiems has been giving her a lot of BS lately so she just wants to go out and let loose. I say of course I go straight to H&M Azzi helps me pick out an outfit since I needed a new one. It's a black long sleeve bodysuit showing a lot of cleavage and some gray cargos. I text Nika saying “Is Paige going to be there?” Azzi reads my texts then looks at me and laughs. I blush Azzi knowing I'm down bad.
Fast forward 4 hours to where Nika and I are all getting ready to go to Teds and be the crazy college party girls we are. Paige and I have been texting all afternoon about literally nothing. That's one thing I love about Paige, how I can talk about nothing for hours and she’ll listen.
I start to change and for some reason, I feel scandalous and I decide to put the set on under my outfit no one is going to see but me so why not feel good right?
Paige called me asking if I was ready because she wanted to pick me up. I asked why and she said no reason. So I of course made up a lie so I didn't have to tell Nika and Azzi I was going to be leaving with Paige. They had their suspicions and they knew something was going on with me and Paige
The last couple of months we've definitely been more than friends but we haven't kissed or anything so I've been quite confused. She always says that we are more than friends and she cares about me a lot more than she does anyone else but she won't do anything about it. We almost kissed once, it was when I went to drop off Paige's basketball shoes . There was a lot of tension at the moment her hands on my waist, me looking into her eyes, arms wrapped around her neck and that was until of course Qadences dumbass cock blocked us. She just had to walk in on us while she was on live. I've always wondered where we would've been if Qadence didn't walk in but everything happens for a reason I guess.
I get into Paige's car and she gives me that stupid smile she always does. The one that makes me fold every time. Her eyes are extra blue her hair straight and we are almost matching
“Hi,” I say blushing she catches on and says “Hi, you look so pretty” which makes me blush even more than before I stutter and say “Thank you” It's a short drive to Teds but she puts her hand on my thigh which she's never ever done before so it caught me off guard she notices me react and asks if I was okay I nod and she rests her hand higher, God shes going to kill me.
we pull up to Teds and walk in Azzi and Nika of course ask if we came together. I say no and Paige says yes and the situation is immediately uncomfortable. I respond with I'm going to the bar which Paige follows me I order a vodka cran and Paige orders her obvious dirty shirley classic. Paige pays for our drinks, I try to tell her she doesn't have to but she smirks at me.
She pulls me by my waist back to the table which I'm not necessarily mad about. After a few drinks she gets more and more touchy, another classic Paige moment but she has never been this touchy with me before.
I go to the bar to get out of her hold so I can breathe but of course, she follows me her hands wrap around my waist and she shoves her face into my neck i giggle because it tickles but she kisses my neck and it catches me off guard she takes her head out my neck and orders us more drinks.
Before I got to the bathroom I tell Nika and Azzi, they say okay I was hoping they would come with me but they didn't so I, of course, had to ask needy Paige and she follows me again I walk in and so does she she pins me to the wall and says “can we go back to my place please”.

Pregnancy is seen in the collective consciousness as a blessed time, where a new life is growing inside of a woman’s body and everything seems good but most people only see the pleasurable side of it, ignoring all the cons these nine long months carry with them.
Of course there’s physical pain (back pain, swollen feet, morning sickness just to mention a few), that’s something concrete everybody can see. What’s more painful it’s the hidden part of this journey, the one that takes place in women’s head: embarking on such a massive change might be scary and sometimes fear overlaps with the joy of welcoming a new human being, overcoming it most of the time.
The most common worry is about not being ready enough to become a parent (as it’s the hardest job a person can do) followed by the difficulty of giving birth: how is it going to be? What will I do if something wrong happens? Will it be as painful as they make it seem in films?
All of this has an impact on mental health and stability, as all these fears may take a toll on a person’s mind and rely on the most disparate stimuli to give life to the most random scenarios…

"There's people who like pregnant women but not in a good sense…"
"In what sense?"
"Like they find them hot and have a fetish for them, that's scary"
That what can be defined as one of the random scenarios mentioned above: that afternoon you were aimlessly scrolling through your phone to stumble upon an article about the most unusual fetishes and you happened to read about people who had the pregnancy kink.
"So what?"
"That's gross and what if these people steal my pics and do vile things with them?"
Your head started spiralling in panic as your hormones and your unstable state of mind was totally controlling you. Too many thoughts in that overworking brain of yours culminated in desperate tears rolling down your face.
"Your pics are safe and you look so sexy"
"I don't, this thing is insanely big and…and the other day you called me whale" You confessed to him as sobs were making you shake.
"Affectionately though, I'd never call you a whale to insult you…" He wrapped his arms around your waist "You're the sexiest, most beautiful whale ever" John whispered with a husky voice right into your neck

The sobs were getting harder and your boyfriend knew the breakdown was getting serious.
"You'll leave me for some beautiful, hotter woman that'll give you no problems and you'll be cheating on me and I'll end up as a single mother and -"
"Hold on, hold on. Calm down and take a deep breath" John tried to calm you, stressing those encouraging words and trying to take deep breaths with you as to show you the priorities you should have considered.
"You're overthinking"
"What if something goes wrong? What if the birth doesn't go as planned? What if our baby -"
"Calm down"
"I've read a lot of stories of mums that had horrible experiences while giving birth to their babies and what if one of us dies?"
John blurted out his eyes in shock as fear and worry covered his perfect face as well.
"Don't even think about it. We're following literally what the doctor told us, I'm sure they'll do whatever it's in their power for your safety"
Your baby kicked in that moment, as if your worry suddenly became her own and she felt the urge to calm you down, coming to the aid of her dad.
You gulped and brought your hand to your belly as John’s eyes never lost sight of you.
He’d never lost sight of you, not even when you went through labour and you were holding his hand so tightly while following the midwife’s instructions, trying to coordinate your pushes with the deep breaths she was asking you to take.
You were trying not to think about all the fears that piled up during those months but it was so hard when all the contractions trampled over you so violently. He stayed there even when you were squeezing his hand so hard your nails dug into his skin, almost piercing it.
He was the antidote to all your nightmares: someone who stayed there with you, holding your hand through thick and thin.
John only left at nightfall and only after you insisted for him to go back home to sleep on a proper bed.
You were feeling like a done and dusted whale, all bloated and tired while he was there looking so fine, surely fresh out of the shower as the unmistakable scent of his aftershave tickled your nostrils.
The sight of him entering what had been your room for the last two days made your heart swell and the butterflies in your stomach soar.
The tiredness painted across your face as well as your swollen eyes made your freshly woken up expression evident and John couldn’t help but smile as your tired smile welcomed him.
"Hi"
"Good morning"
He closed the door behind him, approaching your bed and looking at the small crib where your tiny baby girl was sleeping.
"How are you? Did you get some sleep?"
"Yep…slept a couple more hours"
"Good" He muttered while pressing his lips to your forehead.
"And how is she?"
Both your glances fell on the product of your love that was so small she could easily fit in one of John's large hands and looked so cute in her blush pink bodysuit, stretching her little legs as she was probably busy dreaming something.
"She seems fine, we can't wait to go back home"
"I know…they said you would be good to go today"
"Yeah but they want to check in on us for a final check and then we can go"
"Okay" John was a bit disappointed he couldn't take his ladies with him and leave the hospital right away so he reluctantly nodded and got up to take you something to eat for breakfast.
"I want a giant chocolate croissant"
"And a giant cappuccino as well?" He asked with a smirk, knowing full well your taste when it came to what to have for the most important meal of the day.
"You know me so well" You exclaimed, happy with those small things that weren't small at all in your eyes; they meant the world to you as him and your baby were now your whole world too.
John smiled, a blush pink tint colouring his cheeks and lowered himself over your seated figure, balancing himself on the mattress with his hands, his lips busy pressing a kiss on your forehead.
"See? Everything went well, you're both doing great" He whispered, referring to your fear of something potentially going wrong during the birth, your biggest fear.
You smiled back at him, watery eyes full of weariness and emotions looked up at him as you moved your head to the side to press a tender kiss to his hand that was soothingly caressing your cheek.
“I love you so much. Both of you”
“I love you more”
That sweet moment was interrupted by a nurse who knocked on your room’s door to check in on you and Iris, as it was time for the last visit before discharging you officially.
John waited outside for it to be over, using that time to buy you the delicious breakfast you have been longing for.
He really hoped they could give you the green light to go back home because that would have meant everything was okay and you were perfectly healthy. So he prayed to hear the good news he was waiting for, to see your baby in that white wooden cot you spent a whole day choosing at the store, paired with that flowery pink bedding set his sister gave you as a gift and that had you crying as soon as you opened the box.
After fifteen minutes or so the nurse opened the door followed by the medical staff who welcomed your boyfriend with a smile, the doctor holding your file in her hands. She complimented John on your newborn and told him what he was dying to hear: you and Iris’s health status was good and you were ready to leave the hospital.
He thanked her and nodded when she gave him some quick advice on how to take care of them during the delicate moments following the baby’s birth.
After saying their goodbyes quickly John rushed back to your room with a big grin plastered on his lips.
"We're going home babies" He cooed, taking the duffle bag with all your personal belongings.
“Not so fast, Stonesy” You chuckled “Help me get out of this bed so we can get ready”
The City player giggled and helped you step out of the bed so you could stand up properly. The standing posture made you feel pain in places in didn't even know they existed and the grimace on your face told it all.
“I’ll take the baby and all her things while you put all your stuff in here” He said, directing his tall body towards the crib where his princess was looking at him with her blue eyes. “Yes baby, you’ll come with dada”
The moment you dreamt of a lot, that is to say John making his silly little voice to speak to your daughter, finally happened and it brought genuine tears to your eyes: funny how a small, tiny creature that you met for the first time no more than 72 hours earlier, that shared every single second of the last nine months of your life with you suddenly became the most important, priceless treasure you ever put your hands on.
You thought there were some feelings it was impossible to give form to and love was one of them, but you had to change your mind the moment you took her in your arms because you realised the human being you were holding was the embodiment of all the love you had for her dad. So some feelings, even the strongest one, had a shape and it was astonishingly beautiful.
“Oh I see you’re already taking the baby and leaving me with the heavy things” You mumbled, feigning being angry at him.
“You had her with you for 9 months, don’t be selfish”
“Me selfish?? Oh I’d have really liked you to carry her in your belly for 9 f-”
“Oi don’t swear in front of the baby”
You laughed seeing him all concerned and covering Iris’ ears as he was glaring at you. You shook your head as you slowly started to collect all your things around the hospital room.
“Give me my breakfast, I’m starving”
“See? Your mum has already changed and uses me as her butler and credit card”
His joke caused you to roll your eyes as you were trying to get dressed while dealing with your yet aching body.
You were in some baggy pants and an oversized hoodie because it was the only outfit you were feeling like wearing as John was there looking as flawless as usual even though his fit was quite simple: a pair of jeans matched with a gray jumper and a baseball cap on made him look hotter than usual. The child seat he was carrying with your baby girl in was making him even look like a real hot daddy and your heart was bursting with love. The right word to describe how you were feeling was blessed.
When you finally stepped foot in your house you sighed in satisfaction as you just wanted to get in your bed and cuddle with your new family in peace, eating some good junk food if possible.
“Home sweet home”
John smirked and carefully put the child seat on the floor so he could take Iris out of it.
“Welcome home, baby” He lifted her up to place her against his shoulder so her head could rest against it, as they showed him in the hospital. “This is your home”
“I’ve missed it so much…I think I’m going to lay down for a while”
Lying down on your own bed, on the bed sheets you chose, in the room you shared with the man of your life gave you that much needed home feeling.
You closed your eyes in the attempt to relax but the level of weariness, of emotions you had experienced recently didn’t make it any easier for you to sleep a little.
"Ok so I'm gonna go"
"I don't wanna see anyone" You mumbled when John finally entered your room, cradling Iris in his arms. When he looked down at her to see she was asleep, he put her in the wooden cot right next to your bed.
He couldn’t help but smile: that sight was the closest to perfection he had ever seen, as that piece of furniture that had been empty for all those past weeks was now full as it should have been, hosting the most important treasure ever.
"Not you, idiot. I just wanna see you and our baby" You grumbled as your voice came out feebly due to your state of tiredness.
John smiled and was about to sit next to you on the bed as your phone started ringing, much to your dismay. You groaned in annoyance.
"Who the fuck is now?"
"Your mum"
"Tell her I can't talk, I'm sleeping"
He nodded and swiped on the screen to do as he was told. You knew your mum was dying to talk to you, to make sure you were doing okay but you just wanted to enjoy the peace of the moment and keep that special moment for you only.
When he finished talking, he finally climbed on the bed and you soon were all over him, wrapping your arms around his body and letting your head rest against his chest with your eyes closed breathing in his familiar scent, the best fragrance in the world to you.
"Are you comfortable? Maybe it's better if you lay on a pillow"
"Nope, you're my comfiest pillow"
John scoffed with a half smile and kissed your head.
"Wanna watch something on Netflix?"
"Nope, too tired" You muttered, cuddling closer to his chest.
John's lips curved in a smile as he brushed his thumb against your right cheekbone.
He then scrolled through his phone, answering all the text messages the people he knew sent him ahead of your baby girl's birth.
"What are you doing?" You really wanted and needed to crack some sleep but your mind wasn't agreeing as the level of adrenaline in your body was still too high, plus you wanted to stay awake to spend some time with John and checking on Iris.
"Answering all the texts they've sent for Iris"
"Read me some" You wanted nothing more than to bask in the sweet words of people congratulating you, saying how beautiful your baby was and how strong you've been through all the process. After all you deserved all those sweet words: bringing a child into the world is something so brave people tend to underestimate sometimes.
John pressed play on a voice note from Kyle that made you both laugh, then read you one from Jack and at that moment your own phone rang with a notification and you asked John to check who it was from.
"It's from Sasha, she answered the pic you posted with "congrats you gorgeous mama"
"Aww she's always the sweetest"
"Well, you're everything but gorgeous now…"
"HEY" You threw a fist against his bicep with the little strength that was left in you. "I just pushed your daughter out of my vagina, you should be a little more grateful"
John loved getting on your nerves, making your thin-skinned side come to surface. He giggled, tucking a lock of hair behind your ear.
"I know I look awful and I stink as I really need to take a shower but I can't, I'm so tired" The whiny tone you pronounced those last words with was about to turn into a desperate cry but John took action just in time.
"You know I was joking" He took your face in his hands to look right into your eyes "I'd get you pregnant again right now if I could"
"Liar"
He laughed and kissed your forehead.
"I'll help you with the shower later on"
When your baby whined a little in her sleep the little yelp caught your attention as you both turned your heads towards the crib.
"There's the blanket over there, put it over her" You gestured for him to take the pink honeycomb blanket to cover your baby girl's sleeping body.
She looked so cute with that tiny blanketyou fell in love with as soon as your eyes took sight of it on the shop’s shelf and you had no doubt it would have been perfect for your beautiful baby.
“Can you believe we made her?” You asked John in awe as he was lovingly tucking her in. You got up to join him, encircling his waist with your right arm and putting your head against his bicep. "We made her teeny tiny feet, those little hands..."
“Yeah…you know what they say?”
“What?”
“Daughters tend to be more similar to their dads in the looks”
“So?”
“So if she’s beautiful that’s all thanks to me... even Kyle said it”
Another thing the collective consciousness ignored was the post pregnancy period: the danger of post-pregnancy depression was real but you knew you had the most handsome dad in the world who would have helped you along the path, even when the downs would have outnumbered the ups.
“Yeah Stones…I think you and your friend need some sleep too…you’re hallucinating”
And no, you weren't upset at all: you only wished for your daughter to be the carbon copy of her amazing father. So you hoped deep down your heart the Kyle was right.

Your world shattered as humiliation, guilt, regret, anger all swirled about behind shock which was the strongest emotion. Keeping you from saying anything as Ian without looking up at you took off his ring and without saying anything pushed it back into your palms.
"Here. Take this. You can sell it to get some money. I-It's the least you deserve after what I put you and them through. I'm-... I'm sorry, Y/n. I really am."
He then left the bride standing there. Nothing but white on her body. Tears on her cheeks. And crushed flowers at her feet. No one but her lonely self for comfort in the moonlight so late at night.

Okay now that the haze has cleared after the insanity that was JK's live yesterday, I will try my best to rationalize everything that went down. I need to be logical and objective and keep the delulu in check. Okay let's start.
Jimin did see a naked Jungkook on live and hopped on it so fast but so what? I'm sure this had nothing to do with the skin JK was showing. It was simply because he missed seeing his bro's face. Also, he was bored and had nothing else to do. JK himself told us Jimin is usually bored in the mornings. See? Y'all are reading too much into this.
Now I know that after Jimin said good morning, the song that automatically popped into Jungkook's head was "good morning, this is what I texted you" "I think I'm falling for you, it's dangerous" but you guys this had nothing to do with Jimin. JK was not singing this to him at all. It was simply the word "good morning" that made him think of this song. If JK was singing this to anyone, it would be Army because JK is irrevocably and eternally in love with Army.
Jimin saying he could handle seeing JK's naked body should not be interpreted as something sexual. Of course he can handle seeing it. They used to live together. He's seen him naked a million times before. Why wouldn't he be able to handle it? This is the only logical conclusion. Yes I know JK melted into a puddle of goo when he read that comment, like I've never seen anyone look that whipped in my life but that's not the point. He agreed that Jimin can handle it and this is because Jimin would not at all be affected by it.
Now how do I rationalize JK's desperation and willingness for that Jikook live? My dude was like "your place or mine, just say the word, bro." The fact that he was going to shower at Jimin's place should be completely taken out of the equation. The point is that JK would have been out that door within the drop of a hat had Jimin said yes. Like he was literally begging at some point that's how bad he wanted it. He even tried to leverage Army into getting Jimin to agree but hey this was all because he knew how much the fans love seeing him with Jimin. He knows we love their bond. This was why he wanted that live so bad. Also he has been doing a lot of solo lives since the year began. It only makes sense that he would want to do one with a member now. Never mind the fact that the only member he's repeatedly asked to come over has been Jimin. That is completely irrelevant. JK loves all of his hyungs equally. OT7 forever bitches!
Jimin going all "kekeke I'm scared" "I think you are going to hit me" is where I get a bit stomped because how do I rationalize this one? This is peak kinky flirting but still I will try my best to defend Jimin. This was a joke. Obviously it was a joke because we all know JK would never lay a finger on Jimin. So why did he say it? Why on earth would he make this joke to a half naked JK? Yeah I'm sorry I got nothing. I don't know why he said it. I would probably never know the thought process behind it. It has nothing to do with him having a muscle kink and wanting to be at the mercy of his big buff bro. I will go back to pretending he never said it for my peace of mind.
The "I'm not that easy" comment is so easy for me to defend thank God. He simply meant he is not easily convinced. He is a stubborn man and when he says no he means it. He was not implying he is not easily seduced or that if JK wanted him, he needed to try harder. I'm going to ignore what those who speak Korean had to say about it. They weren't in Jimin's head. They couldn't have known what he meant.
Ending this post by saying that the pic Jimin sent JK was simply of his puffy morning face to prove that he's in no state to do a live. It wasn't a nude. I know he sleeps naked but he definitely put on a shirt before taking that pic. Y'all need to get your heads out of the gutter, jeez.

A3! reading club: act one (chapter 1-6)
(cw: talking about parental neglect and abuse, orientalism, one mention of suicide)
Hey, ten out of twelve isn't bad, all things considered! This very well could have gone down in October. Also, since it's February (March if you wanna be generous), does that mean everyone in Harugumi's slightly younger than their Year One ages now? Ack, timelines are confusing.
Izumi casually talking about how Yukio neglected her and following it up with "well, it was probably because he loved this theater so much!" is. Oh, girl. No wonder she snapped when Sakyo suggested he'd abandoned Mankai, because if he hadn't loved it, then why did she have to go through with that?
I'm not versed enough in Japanese particles but I recognize "daijoubu" and Tsuzuru watching this trainwreck unfold and saying something along the lines of "are you guys, like, okay?" is extremely funny.
Then we get to Sakuya and Masumi's family situations, which. From a meta perspective, it makes sense to want to give your minor protagonists the freedom that having parents limits. That's why the trope of "young protagonist in kid's spec fic media is conveniently an orphan" is so common. (was? I think it's becoming less common now.) The problem lies in the lack of willingness to follow through with the emotional conflict it creates, or resolve said conflict in a satisfying manner. Sure, I'm assuming they weren't starved or physically abused, but being treated like a burden when you're a child is still fucking traumatizing! Basically I think Izumi Sakuya and Masumi should start a union. And I'm glad later chapters go the reasonably more toned-down route of "my parents have a reasonable amount of trust in me to make these kinds of decisions".
Also, can we talk about Sakuya and Masumi, because they're one of my favorite brotps here. The way Sakuya appoints himself as Masumi's surrogate big brother? He's so eager to potentially share a room with him ;-;. (personally I hc that Ms. Sakuma was expecting another child before the accident or whatever killed them, so Sakuya's been a big brother without a younger sibling all this time </3)
Wow, that doesn't sound like a metaphor for anything! You're right, Izumi, why would you go the easy route of taking something prepackaged and guaranteed when a bunch of wildly different spices can create a delicious meal if you know how to utilize them right?
Am I grasping at straws here. Probably.
The little ka-ching sound effect is adorable.
Tsuzuru, I'd think "antagonist" should be near the top of the list...also, there's plenty of plays that have been pulled off with two or three actors. Just put on "night, Mother" or something. (Joking. Don't look up night, Mother if you're sensitive to themes of suicide.)
"Tsuzuru, you picked this troupe because it had a dorm, right? ...Then maybe our best bet is to focus on more people in your shoes."

HE'S HERE! Funny how Izumi's right about Citron not being a regular tourist right off the bat. He may not be from another troupe, but he's definitely "in character" right now.
Also, oof. Citron's my second fave in Harugumi after Sakuya, but it's glaringly obvious how much of his character is rooted in orientalism. Sure, maybe it's an act, but why is he talking about how "shameful" showing skin is when his top is (conveniently for us) THAT low-cut.
On another note, I know people have pointed out his distaste for pig's feet as evidence for headcanoning him as Muslim, but I haven't seen anyone point out how he calls Veludo Way a "mecca" of theatre. Like yeah, mecca can just mean hub, but...why didn't they just say hub? Words Have Connotations. I'm not saying this coding is good or bad, it's just a neutral observation.

Some of my unhinged thoughts on episode 6:
It was nice to get that flashback of “shitmas” between Susannah and Julia for some context, but I hope we get more because it definitely wasn’t enough. It also imo parrallels the relationship between Conrad and Jeremiah - I want so badly for them to be on good terms but it seems like it's always "one step forward and two steps back" and it kinda breaks my heart, especially after losing Susannah and Belly too, sort of.
“I THOUGHT YOUR SPECIALTY WAS COCOA” after Conrad leans over and takes a sip from Belly’s straw - omg, Chris’s line delivery and acting choices this season are INSANE. And even though this line happens differently in the book - the scene was SO GOOD.
Also I love that they both had green shirts on and Conrad’s kinda brought out his eyes.
When they're in the party store and Belly says they should talk about the “elephant in the room”, I totally thought Belly was gonna tell Conrad about how there is definitely something still between them, and I think Conrad also thought that because you can see his face/eyes shift when she brought up the funeral instead.
The attention to detail is everything - Conrad smoothing down Belly’s hair after taking the tiara off.
Jeremiah telling Belly how she was “mooning” over Conrad in the photo in the album, then later when Steven takes the pic of her and Conrad, Conrad literally cannot stop looking at her and she doesn’t even notice or wait to see how the photo came out. While Conrad is the one who calls her over to take a pic and immediately goes to Steven to see how it came out. Conrad is the definition of "heart eyes" to Belly while she is distancing herself from him, understandably, and moving towards Jeremiah.
At the start of the fight scene on the beach - “Leave me alone”, “I can’t” & “I’m not leaving you” “But you already did” - THE SUBTEXT , and a little foreshadowing imo of book 3 and a very specific scene that happens near the end
And near the end of the beach scene, for a second I thought Conrad would add “We do”, after he says “We did”
You're right about the great parallel between Susannah and Julia. Especially considering the dynamic between the boys and their dad. It's like watching a slow motion car crash with Jeremiah and Conrad. It is something I've always kind of struggled with when it comes to this show because the whole premise divides a family. I haven't read the books but have read summaries and even though there is technically a happy ending for the endgame ship it's really a very sad ending for 2 brothers? How do you recover that relationship after everything that happens?
The chemistry was POPPING this episode. The cocoa line with that look! FIRE. I agree that he thought the elephant in the room was the fact that they still clearly have feelings for each other. I know she's a teenager and insecure and has a lot of complicated feelings but it seems so obvious the Conrad is in love with her. The scene on the beach is going to keep me going for WEEKS! Lola and Chris are so dynamic together, I was hanging on every word. The whole "we did" is so classic slow-burn-never-saying-what-you-really-mean-angst but I still screamed at my tv.

N'jinh actually looks pretty okay on benchmark, but he's already getting his entire face redone since I want him to use different base than Hawu'li. But he has that lazy, kinda dead eyed look too :/ Like the cheeck paintings showing up better tho!
Naho is mostly better, but I don't like the kinda wet glow on her nose + will have to do some adjusting to her skintone.
Good god Yulan looks so dead behind those eyes D: Like horrifyingly empty... Benchmark also seems to make everyone into some weird yellowish hue.
Firn..... weird lighter eyebags aside (I think it's one of the face paints so it should be easy to fix at least), they stole his pretty, thick white eyelashes?? And why is his nose so dark, everyone else I've seen complains benchmark made their's too light??? (There's also some really weird graphical bug of his hair clipping really fast through that metal part of his feather hairpiece lol).
Einn is otherwise fine, but some weird graphical error eats his eye dot (it's just a tiny " / " line instead) and I have this weird feeling they made his eyes wider? Like they used to be very narrow, and now they are bigger around the middle. Also not a fan of his new lip color :/
Momo honestly rocks the new look! My only complaint is that their nose looks very different, but it honestly fits them better. Very much a fan of the more rounded chin too, but I could see some people disliking it on their characters. Also very positively surprised by the new limbal ring, it fits in better and gives their white eye a nice glow.
Meanwhile Chili looks a bit off? I loooooove the horn and scale textures, but his skin has a very weird green tinge I absolutely hate, as well as the new metal tips on horns (why same color as horns?? what's the point if I can't even see them?). His limbal rings are a bit funny with his eyecolor, so definitely have to tweak those little.
Gee, Fish, who does your mom let you have eyeshine? Honestly she's looking very nice too, can't really find anything to complain about. Extra points for finally making her mouth look better.
Ryne looks very good too, lalas are clearly the true winners here. Even her new eyecolor is closer to Ryne's. Interesting how her eyeshape seems to have changed too, but unlike Hawu'li hers actually fits her.
Hyth..... love, what on earth happened? Why is you face so round? Where did your eyebrows go? Why is you nose wider? What happened to your lips? Hydaelyn help me.... I'd almost say it's worse than Hawu'li's face changes :/

This is from an au created by @bonkdd, but i did rob and andrew's designs bc i never saw his designs for them. i also added a lot of lore and plot stuff because i really liked the concept. in simple terms the tallies are robots that were abandoned by Marvin after he passed away so now they're falling apart n stuff without him to care for them (that's why rob hides his face). Anyways, huge thanks to Bonk for the original idea! They're a great artist, you should go check them out!

Did an embossing peice. It's the Mojo Chessmaster! I tried by best to make it as detailed as possible, and I think I did pretty alright. The neck was probably the worst part to do. Below are close-ups
the head of the guitar was a pain in the ass.
This part was also pretty tricky but it came out okay. the dials at the bottom are raised as much as I could get them to go, so I'm not worried about them. My issue here was the pickups.
I also added Flansburgh's little signature guy but i drew his hair because why not? Anyways this piece took me a good hour or so to finish, I think it'll fetch a good grade (it was for my metal design class).
I'll add a sketch I just did as a bonus:
it's from a tally hall fanfic/au i made back in may after my grandpa passed away. It was a great stress-reliever and I still really like how it turned out. It's about cryptids and monsters and shit. I'll post a summary on a different post because this one was mostly for the drawings. I might post a few installments of it on my ao3. It could be a weekly thing since i usually have time on fridays to write.
Once again, a close-up is available below.
I put literal hours of research on cryptids and of the area (ann harbor, MI) while writing this fic. It was fun though, and it helped me a lot. Feel free to ask me anything about the plot or world-building !

hi! I really enjoy your art, it has a very unique touch to it that I really like. do you sell prints of your art anywhere?
I've never been much of an artist myself, but lately I've been feeling like I would really like to try and learn how to draw. I know it takes a LOT of practise and that some have a more natural touch to it than others, but do you have any tips for a beginner? where should I start? I have tried reference pics and stuff like that but I never seem to get them right. how can I keep myself motivated when nothing I try turns out the way I imagine it?

And wow that's great to hear! I'm really excited for you honestly because it's really fun :3 Well, my ways have always been a little unconventional but most teachers would tell you to pick up a pen and paper and.. just start drawing/doodling with whatever reference you have. Or if you have a pen tablet already, explore the program you're working with. Any kinds of brushes, try them out, try functions the program has- see what it does, make it a fun experience because you can't make any mistakes. It isn't something you have to deliver to anyone, this is practice and this is for you. Put on some music or watch a show on the side that's easy to follow (not one you have to pay close attention to) and just scribble away. You can use an extra program like 'Pureref' (which is free!) that allows you to drag in any references you need on top of your drawing-program or create an extra window where you can drag in any images and rearrange everything just the way you like it, like this:
And then let's try a Sasuke sketch in that pose upper-left corner.
I usually flood the document with a bunch of references in case I need it. (It's always more than I need but I hoard my files a lot 😂.. I think it's a fear of it not being enough "just in case"- but it's okay.) When I'm coloring a sketch, I think of colors beforehand but it kinda depends on my mood. Most of the time I don't bother until I get to the lighting stage.
If you feel like you don't really got the hang of using a pen-tablet yet, there is a good tutorial with exercises here. And don't worry at all!!! Because it'll get much easier and easier overtime, just please take care of your hands and stretch gently always. Remember it is never supposed to hurt.
Honestly the way to improve fast with art is... just get obsessed over something 😂 and draw that. Find something you like and enjoy drawing it at least from my understanding that is what happened to many people. For me it's.. well..
If you want to get inspired, go to places, preferably professional spaces and make a board with art in styles you really like. (Or a folder for example!)
This way you can use references to make something and it's a good start/practice ^^! At least it was very helpful for me! If you feel like nothing turns out the way you imagine it, then don't worry about it please.. creating something involves so many steps it is nearly impossible.. or it is impossible actually to have something turn out exactly as you imagine it beforehand. It is more important that the end-result is something that is satisfying which has more to do with the actual process itself. And I know that is not something you might want to hear now but I guess you'd have to experience it? At least for me, every new art I make involves something along the lines of "oh I kinda liked that" or "ew, no, nope, no, not doing that ever again" it's a constant process.
Here are some helpful video's for beginners because I think visual inspiration would be more beneficial for you than just a bunch of text from me!

Wenzhou Set 1 (Handcrafted)
Following up yesterday's Dong Fang Yuechu, we have this little Wenzhou set by this same, extremely talented artist.
If you think I can't get enough of this artist's hand-crafted figs, you'd be right! I have more on their way to me even now, including, yes, Wenzhou set 2.
If you haven't read yesterday's post, or if you haven't read this previous post where I talked about Mid-Autumn, Snow Mountain Edition, then you should know I bought this fig set from a fan artist on Xianyu that designs and creates Word of Honor / Junzhe figures. This set are made-to-order figs, meaning that she has this style up in her store and will make it when ordered. She says that she needs a few days to create the fig, but I've noticed that everything I've ever bought from her has shipped immediately, in-stock or otherwise.
These figs arrived wrapped in plastic wrap and cushioned with a bit of polyfill. I did have the warehouse wrap these in air column bubble wrap, since I don't trust something this small and delicate to anything else. Since it's just polyclay, it seems to be pretty resistant to breaking, but crushing damage would absolutely destroy it.
Unlike yesterday's fig, I gave these a nice dusting with my untrustworthy but still useful feather duster, and then brushed the travel lint off with a clean makeup brush. I did pretty well, although I did notice during upload of the pics that a few pieces of grass from the green grass base made their way onto the figs. It's just so hard to see - these figs very small, and my close up vision is not as good as it used to be.
How small you say? Tiny. So small! I'd say a little over half the size of a normal fig, not counting the bases. Here to illustrate relative fig sizes is our Ghost Valley Master. Thank you for your service!

The level of detail is all the more impressive for being so small.

Hmm the detail on these pics are not astounding. The light I took them in wasn't great. I'll take some close ups too so you can actually see all the wonderful detail.
I really like how she did all the hair detail and of course both of their hair ornaments. I particularly love whenever fig makers replicate this particular hair tie of A-Xu's. It's so great!
The little poses with the hands are just so cute. We can't see much of A-Xu's face here since his bangs cover it up, but we can see Lao Wen smiling away!
Why not smile? He's walking along with his favorite person in the jianghu! Who also looks very sweet and happy! I just love them.
Swapping sides so you can get a better view! Alright, let's finish up the two up and down sides so we can get to the details.
Hehe, not too much to see here, although I'll note they look just as cute from this angle.
There we go! Onto the details. I'm going to bring these figs downstairs and see if I can't get some better light somehow.
Well I'll tell you what, the better light did an exceptional job of showing me where I hadn't dusted all the lint off! My goodness. I went back and cleaned it up, but ignore any stray bits. Hopefully this gives you a good amount of detail of his beautiful waist ornament and the painted detail on his robes.
His hairpin is so beautiful I had to show you a picture of it. Just for something like this, can you imagine how long it took to make? To keep referring back to the costume to make sure it was perfect in every detail? Just incredible.
He's so beautiful I just wish my photographic (and dusting!) skills were up to the task. I see my camera decided to focus on his lovely costume instead of his expressive eyes, but hopefully this is at least a little bit better than the further away ones.
Yes, A-Xu, you're perfect, and you've never done anything wrong in your entire life. No I will not be taking any other opinions from the jianghu, thank you!
His hair tie is perfect. I really like how she modeled his hair here, it's lovely. You can see the details and beautiful lines of his robe here - even the sleeves are so artfully done.
Just so delightful. I'm so happy with these figs! I can promise you when the next set arrives, they too will jump to the head of the fig-posting line.

Probably the GGE2022 for Macy. I had some other ideas. Also their poses were gonna be different like it was either the back of them looking at snow or tumbled into the snow on top of an ny roof top but still not the best at figure drawing so i just did the best of my abilities 😄

I would say my good omens au I simply adorethe little details I put into the drawing. I referenced Mickey's outfit in Ian's delete scene dream. Ian's outfit is 7x10 just in darker colours. I loved being able to create Ian's ombre eyes by colour picking Cameron's hazel ones. Ian's hair shading. The heart wings & being able to creat the wing texture on the angel wing. AND their signature shows with the timberland & bright read air forces!!! I had such a fun time drawing this 🥰 Also it was my 100,000 post lol
18. What is one thing you’d like to tell people about your art that they might not know?
My gallavich art is the first time I've been colouring my drawings. When I drew a lot in high school I would just do the line art & was too hesitant to colour them.
19. What inspires or motivates you to create for fandom?
Definitely you guys! Being able to make you guys smile. As well as your creations & the creating events 💕🖌

I do like to crawl up into a hunched ball on the lounge couch or my bed (which should stop bad for posture lol) Then I do enjoy playing YouTube video essays about internet history/horror games I'd never play or movie reactions.
Also, I am more of an artist who researches & and works with many references. I got a whole lotta unclosed tabs of Ian & Mickey, body poses & clothes that i forgot to close lol.

Thank you so much! I spend most of my writing energy on bysotid which is why all of these are floating in WIP land... they get love when I need to work on something else because whatever bysotid scene is simmering in the background.
I have mentioned this fic before, but I don't know if it was titled then or if I shared a snippet. This is basically the "Sassy has come across one too many Yuuri the Virgin fics. Where are are all the Viktor the Virgin fics? Specifically Viktor the Virgin gets wrecked by Yuuri fics?"
Add in a dash of Chris being Chris and putting the whole thing into motion and we have "It's only a problem if you don't have a solution"!
I will say this one was really hard to snippet because everything I've written on it amuses me....
Viktor nodded. “Um. Yes.” Viktor fidgeted with the cup, finally putting it down and turning to Chris. “I’ve heard all your stories, find you attractive, and well, I trust you. And aren’t you always telling the little skaters that they shouldn’t run into things without thinking about it and without trusting their partners?”
Chris blinked at him. “You listen to my sex talks in the locker rooms?”
Again, Viktor nodded. “It seems… pertinent sometimes.”
Chris was quiet for almost too long and Viktor stared at him, worried he’d pushed past some sort of line that he wasn’t even aware existed. Probably didn’t know it existed because it wasn’t visible to virgins. Viktor looked away and his shoulders hunched. It was fine. This still wasn’t a problem. Being a virgin was not a problem.
“What did you want to do?” Chris’s hand landed on his knee and Viktor turned to face him. It was not the face of someone out to seduce him, but instead the face of his friend asking an honest question.
Viktor shook his head. “I told you. Have sex.”
“I know. I heard that part, but how? Obviously we’re talking with a man otherwise you wouldn’t have asked me, but do you think you’d like to be on top or the bottom? Neither?”
Oh. Oh. Of course. “Well, when I’ve thought about it…” Viktor trailed off. He had thought about it, thought about it a lot. It wasn’t like he’d never touched himself, after all. It just had never started with a conversation like this. And those fantasies had always ended with him on the “Bottom.”
“Oh.” Chris leaned back.
“Is that the wrong answer?”
Shaking his head, Chris chuckled. “There is no such thing as a wrong answer in this conversation. Just the issue of preferences not necessarily aligning.” Chris smiled at him. “Bottoming is a good choice. It’s my personal preference. And while I could top, or we could do something a little different... I think that for your first time, you deserve the best. There’s always your second or third or--”
“Chris!” Viktor sighed. Of course. He should have seen this coming, but he wasn’t ready to give up that easily. Giving up was not in Viktor’s vocabulary. “I could--”
Chris shook his head. “No, if you want to be taken, you should be taken exquisitely, and I know just who to call for that.”
Viktor’s eyes widened as Chris reached for his phone and Viktor shot his hand out to grab Chris’s wrist. “No! No, please, I don’t want every single figure skater to know!”
Chris reached out with his free hand and stroked Viktor’s cheek. “Don’t worry, mon ami. No one will know. In fact, even if it does get out, no one would ever believe it. People see what they want to see, after all.” Chris set the phone back down. “I won’t message him now, though, think about it and let me know before you go to Japan for those ice shows.”
Viktor nodded.

Of course Chris would think that this was fun. It wasn’t fun at all. Viktor sighed and pulled the door open and headed straight for the counter, not bothering to look around. He wasn’t ready. He was more than ready for sex, but this little meet-cute or whatever that Chris was trying to arrange, Viktor was not ready for that.
Latte in hand, Viktor scanned the seating. There was only one person that Viktor recognized in the whole café and he was, in fact, sitting in the corner by the wall, and he was, in fact, gorgeous. Viktor was also not sure what game Chris was playing, but was sure that he was, in fact, playing a game.
“Hi, Yuuri!” Viktor set down his coffee and slid into the seat across from Yuuri Katsuki before he could change his mind. “I hope that I didn’t keep you waiting long. I got a bit turned around. We should have just come together from the rink, don’t you think?”
Yuuri was staring at him like a deer caught in the headlights. Viktor glanced down at the table, this was not going well already. One of Yuuri’s hands was clinging to his coffee cup so tightly Viktor thought the ceramic might shatter while the other was nervously fidgeting with the spoon before suddenly stopping. “Sorry. Um. Chris didn’t tell me who I was meeting.”
Viktor looked up at the quiet voice. Yuuri’s gaze slid away from him and to the wall when he realised that Viktor was looking at him again. It was sweet, cute even, how nervous Yuuri was. This was also not what Viktor asked Chris to do.
Viktor wanted someone to fuck him. He wasn’t looking to be set up on a meet-cute.
Yuuri Katsuki didn’t seem like the type who would fulfill that first bit.

hahaha I can't sleep in I've got like 3 projects due in Jan... My trip to Kuantan [YES KUANTAN] was only 4 days long.... I need a longer break istg banking and finance isn't being good to me AT ALL.
YEAH I GET YOU I can't even go to school without light makeup cause I feel like everyone would judge me if I went bare faced bruh. Plus in my school, we don't have a uniform so everyone just dresses up. I don't have much clothes but I still gotta dress up cause the other girls look like they're going for a fashion show... Eyeshadow eyeliner and lipstick too! Like my extracurricular activity is makeup but I don't even feel like doing makeup everyday before going to school like PLS I'm there to study not to look good?!

One small technical change I'd make in my Moon Knight fics from the show is related to these.
I'll be mixing up comics canon with MCU canon again (that's what I've been doing since The Avengers anyway...).
The show was 'too clean'. I know it was a first try by Disney and they couldn't go NC-17 on it, and that's exactly why it was too clean. There weren't any story reasons for it.
I loved that they made the Moon Knight suit more officially mystical. That. Great. Good idea. But then when they fought there were absolutely no blood, the suit stayed pristine white.
Which gave it a more artificial feel to me? I know you can explain it with the suit being mystical. But I want something better. I want it how it should be, not how they were forced to show it.
I don't want NC-17 for gore or anything like that. I want that rating for Moon Knight to be more 'grounded' visceral 'realistic', as much as it can be.
Look at Daredevil (will I stop praising that show? Nuh-hu), there were what, two gory scenes that made me squirm in season one? Out of 13 episodes it's not that much. But they could show better who Daredevil was in that story, and the danger of the threats he was facing. There were also no sex scenes, no need to show any (I liked Eternals pretty well, but why did my eyes need to be assaulted by this gratuitous awkward overlong straight sex scene?). It just all felt more natural. Like there weren't any restrictions for the writers to write what they wanted to write.
I want this for next season of Moon Knight (we know they're going to get PG-13ated anyway if they join a team at some point)
And that's why I'm changing that one little thing from the canon :
Blood does stick to their suit when they fight, when they wound others or get wounded themselves. Then they only have to summon the suit away, and when they summon it back, it's all clean. So the blood of a battle stays on the suit for as long as they're wearing it continuously.
Their suit could thus end up looking bloodied like they look in the comics (hence those pics above).
Also, super-magic healing when they're wearing the suit ? Sure. But how it was shown in the show was a bit much. Again it was to avoid showing any blood, but my suspension of disbelief got tested when Marc got impaled and it looked like he hadn't been impaled at all one second later. If your character heals quicker than Wolverine, there's a little problem.
So I'd like for us to feel when they're getting hurt. To know that they are, indeed, getting hurt. Even if they fully heal soon after.
I think these tweaks aren't just for my sadistic aesthetic fancies though. I think they'd serve the story well. They would give more weight to Marc's lines.
Ep. 2
Steven : 'what kind of payment ?'
Marc : 'the kind that leaves my hands covered in blood'
Yes, it's read as metaphorical, but it can also not just be metaphorical. It can be metaphorical and literal.
And
Ep 5.
Marc : 'I kept wishing I'd fail, that they'd kill me instead. The healing ended up being a curse'
That line would have had more impact if he even had an ounce of a chance of being killed with that costume. So we need to slow down that healing a little, to see him actually getting hurt so he could've thought something like that.
*Another little change I'd do from the show to my fic is that the boys don't look identical in their innerspace. Similar, but not identical. And I also explain that by the need to show them identical in the visual medium and showing Oscar's wonderful performances and not 'how it really is'.

weird personal update under cut, mostly for those who've been around awhile. i guess i can put an intro too.
honestly there are so many new followers here i'm assuming for gif reasons but... like.. sorry guys. it's a fairly rare thing. others do them better and quicker than me for the most part. my poor 7 year old laptop i make them on is a struggle. new person intro to me below, but first let me get to the part where i journal so it's off my chest.
i use tumblr as a journal of sorts. and honestly it's thanks to tumblr in general i started questioning my sexuality when i was in my mid 20s. living in a very white, conservative state - even if you live in a liberal family, that shit just gets ingrained. i was never homophobic or anything, just didn't consider anything other than straight an option. long story short, figured the bi was the best label for me at that time, definitely made me feel better, and more like myself. my partner (husband) was like yeah that's cool all good i support you let me know if you need anything from me and it's been great since.
another... long-ish story in a shorter form... i started struggling the last year or two with all of it again. just feelings and s.x feelings and whatever, a big reason of why i started therapy. basically come to the decision i land on the ace spectrum somewhere. i know much less about being asexual, and it definitely doesn't feel as "good" coming to this realization. i think i probably fall close to the demi- label. but labels and feelings are hard. and since 1) i'm pretty uneducated and 2) no one wants to hear about my sx life, i'm not going to go into things. i just wanted to throw out there that... i'm still figuring shit out. this convo with m was a lot harder, went a lot worse. then there was a better second convo. he's still supportive, it's just harder for reasons that are personal to him so i won't delve into. our relationship is okay, he doesn't want to open our marriage, and not much has changed honestly. i'm still trying to figure out my boundaries, and where my 'am i doing this because i want to or feel like i have to' lines are. it's... not fun. adding to that that if things ever came to the point where our marriage wouldn't work... that completely changes not only my life in a large way, but the kids, and m's. that is the fuckin scariest thing. sexuality discovery would be way less scary if i wasn't scared it will eventually negatively affect people in my life. i'm very much a "i will accept this thing that's not great for me and be quiet to keep the calm and happiness of those around me" in most cases. i don't like taking up space for myself. it's been a rough couple months.
anyway if i had to label i'd go with biromantic, asexual (with some ace labels i may or may not ever figure out)
getting older is a fuckin trip. you think you should know what you want and who you are but no one really knows. and life changes us and we discover more about who we are. for those newbies that are not even 20... your 20s and 30s are great. just... be prepared to shift and change and evolve and be okay with that.
anyway. new folks. i'm alex. i live in the middle of the us. i have two kids (boys, 8 and 5) that... i've been on tumblr longer than either of them have been alive. i work from home in (broadly) a data role within a corporation. i enjoy my work, its flexibility, and just data in general. give me numbers. i've been married for 14 years this june, and i'll be 34 in july.
i watch nwsl and uswnt for sports mostly. working on reading more novels again. obviously my tv obsessions are clear within minutes of looking at my blog. i talk parent stuff too sometimes, it's obviously a big part of who i am, but i'll leave their names and pics off the blog for their safety. i'll show my stupid face here though. sometimes i'll talk about seizures (i have them occasionally, unfortunately, and my brain isn't feeling great right now) and other medical stuff if it's bothering me because this place really is like a journal release for me. i hold some stuff back but yeah. i'll tag with 'personal nonsense' if you want to mute. sometimes i post and delete because i read it again later and decide no one needs to read that shit.
