So I was writing a small paper in Microsoft Word and the program suddenly crashed (I saved a couple minutes before, thank god) and I get this message in the corner of my screen two seconds afterward
Once a week, she read to the children of the Crystarium, something they all looked forward to.
"Miss Penumbra! Miss Pen!" they'd say, "Tell us about Minfilia again!"
This was a favorite story, even if it was a sad one, because it was about a young girl.
"Once upon a time," she said, "A stranger came from another..."
But today, the door opened. Today, in walked a ghost. The last she'd seen of him, he'd rushed to her side. Held her while her head split with pain. Then he—and everyone else, save Thancred—was gone.
"... world?"
That had been five years ago, when . She'd nearly given up hope that the Exarch would ever succeed.
Haruhi fujioka really is the character ever. Going by any pronouns in 2006. Big beautiful brown eyes like a baby cow. Constant deadpan delivery. Getting bitches constantly. Reacts to romantic advances with a thousand-yard goldfish stare. Perfect flawless protagonist 10/10
"You never wanted to hurt anyone, but the world never gave you a choice. You did the best you could with what you had, but every innocent mistake you made was held against you when it counted, every crossroads led you down the wrong path no matter which way you went. No matter what you did, the odds were stacked against you. It wasn't fair, and you are sick and tired of being told what a monster you are for things out of your control. Well, fine. They want a monster? YOU'LL GIVE THEM A MONSTER!"
I'll let you on a secret - I actually retook that test like handful of times because it kept giving Firn the "No Moral Compass" answer lol. I mean sure he is cold and does not particularly care if someone else sees what he does as evil, but he does have a very strong personal moral compass. It's just... pointing in weird directions.
"Then Let Me Be Evil" was a bit more fitting! His past is still pretty wip, but basic outline is that he was a personal guard to freshly selected high priestess, on the "good" side of things, protecting the land they lived in. That was, until the heroes came knocking, deeming every deed they'd done.
