OKAY; We need to talk about this TyZula scene:
this scene has been talked about a LOT. specifically by anti-tyzula/azula fans. but for this "rant" im looking at it through the lens of just azulas character.
it is DETRIMENTAL to azula as a character. this will be a slightly indepth review i guess. im sure someone already talked about this and what im going to say, but i just want to bring it to light considering some of the anti-azula/tyzula stuff i've been seeing recently
Part 1: Azulas reaction to the way Ty Lee approaches her
the way ty lee approached azula is really important here. you might just think, "oh leo it's just Azula being jealous!" but when ty lee walks up to azula saying, "thank goodness you're here!" (i didn't get this part in the clip cuz im a fool and didn't record it on time but whatever go watch the clip on youtube) this qoute is really impactful. it possibly made azula feel less than ty lee. here is the qoute again, "Thank goodness you're here", i feel like azula would take this very personally.
even just the single first sentence. "Thank goodness" is obviously ty lee thanking azula, but for what? you might say, "well yeah for being there" but i genuinely believe azula would interpret this along the lines of, "she only wants me when she needs me" or something like that.
Part 2: Azula's jealously towards Ty Lee
i think a lot of people solely think she's jealous over the boys liking ty lee more than her. but it's not just that. i genuinely find that azula is not only jealous of the boys, but also social interaction in general. specifically with ty lee having that skill and her not.
we don't have much information as to mai, ty lee, and azulas experience in the Royal Fire Academy for Girls, but im assuming azula didn't need much social skills to succeed there. she had two close friends to deal with people speaking to her, and was literally a crown princess of the FIRE NATION. if she couldn't get what she wanted whether mai or ty lee were there- she could always use her royalty as her advantage. i also can see her threatening those in school who opposed her (without using her royalty as a reason). there is a key moment we see during a flashback where azula and ty lee are playing. azula did her best to preform a cartwheel and failed while ty lee succeeded. because of this azula actually pushes ty lee down!
Tumblr media
keep in mind that this is one of azulas closest friends other than mai. we can only IMAGINE what azula would do to a student who got in the way of something she wanted.
so yes; azula is jealous of ty lee getting attention from boys, but it's not solely that. it's her social skills that she's also jealous of.
Part 3: The Conflict
azula gets defensive after her reaction to the previous plot point. she verbally attacks ty lee because of it. azula says to ty lee, "those boys only like you because you make it so easy for them! you're not a challenge, you're a tease."
yes azula is "critiquing" the "way" ty lee attracts men. azula is saying she'd do the exact opposite. but the opposite is all she knows. she grew up learning the power of being the best, being perfect, and fear mongering. she genuinely sees that as the way to handle ANY social situation.
as far as, "it's not like they actually care who you are." qoute goes; azula sees this as another flaw in her interactions with men.
example is when she tries to convince chan to to maybe (?) have a relationship or farther; she uses (not exactly royality) but her skills as a skilled bender for a reason to stay with her. considering she has no social skills, her only option (in her mind) is to use her higher power. ty lee doesn't use her high rank in nobility (along with her chi blocking abilities) to what azula would call an advantage.
im not defending azulas verbal assault on ty lee. im solely explaining (imo) the feelings behind it.
Part 4: Ty Lee's reaction
This one is simple. ty lee is hurt by azulas words. obviously.
Part 5: Azula's redemption for this scene
it already baffles me when people say azula is (pure evil) just based on her actions between others. but this scene shows a side of azula we haven't been able to see so far through the series. an apology. not only did she apologize to ty lee but admitted her mistake and explained why she said what she did. i think it's insane that people solely walk past this scene and only see it as azula bullying ty lee. if anything it's the opposite. yes she makes a rude remark, but after seeing ty lee's reaction she IMMEDIATELY takes her comment back an apologizes.
this is so human and shows a side we hardly ever got to see. especially when it's specifically between her and ty lee. their relationship is so important as far as azulas character goes. (not to get too deep into it but,) even in "Azula and the Spirit Temple" ty lee is one of the illusions that the spirit attempts to make her happy with. azula obviously has a strong connection to ty lee in a loving and caring way that most people look past. whether it's from these scene or that specific comic. obviously their relationship has unhealthy flaws but what relationship doesn't?
Part 6: A quick resolution
so there you go. basically an essay on a single 36 second clip i just wanted to give azula some light because people ALWAYS paint her as "crazy" or "evil" but that's simply not true. same goes for TyZula. yes there is a power imbalance, but azula does admit her mistakes and apologizes for hurting ty lee's feelings.
Anyway thanks for reading!!

pmmm rebellion: the flower scene
Tumblr media
*inhales*
i like pmmm rebellion. a lot. i'd go so far as to say it’s one of my favorite movies. but i've never liked the interpretation from some, of this scene. the flower scene. essentially, the idea is that homura was right in how madoka was "miserable" as a god. because madoka "agreed with her" in the flower scene.
as a baseline, i will say right off the bat that i think pmmm is a franchise where you can never fully escape tragedy. i think any ending to this story will be bittersweet, and there is a certain amount of sacrifice and misery inherent in its very concept.
that being said. i don't think madoka becoming a god was as tragic as homura makes it out to be. i don't think its just a hero sacrificing herself for the greater good. i think it's more. and i think this scene, as much as it is a conversation, is also an act of self-delusion.
this one-note interpretation of madoka as a tragic sacrifice (in how she herself feels) is ignoring... well. the context of the whole series. which homura herself is also ignoring. by which i mean, she was a quite the unreliable narrator in how she described the sacrifice / miracle madoka would go on to perform.
Tumblr media
for the record, i think there is something both selfish and selfless to homura. i think she genuinely believes she is helping madoka. and i think homura thinks that's all she wants. this is not an attempt to slander her - but more about how i think she has an incomplete understanding of madoka, and what madoka wants in life.
basically, i'm not trying to argue here that madoka's sacrifice is just good "for the world." obviously, it is. we already know that. what i'm trying to argue is that i think it - in some ways - is also good for madoka herself. not in an uncomplicated way, but that its not all bad. that she gets something out of being this godlike being. at the very least, i think it is better for madoka than the world homura creates.
okay. so. flower scene. homura pretty vaguely just says “you’re going to be separated from everyone you love." which, on its own, is pretty sad. she mentions that there's something "only (madoka) can do". and that madoka, being selfless, would do this because she feels she has to. that it is a tragedy.
what homura doesn't mention is madoka becoming this godlike, conceptual being who is everywhere at all times. which is a pretty big fucking thing to leave out. homura might as well have said “you’re going to be separate from ME, and that’s going to make ME sad” for how honest she was about the context of the situation.
Tumblr media
in short, homura is framing the situation as tragically as possible because she wants madoka to say what she wants to hear. she wants to be told that it was miserable. because homura was miserable.
essentially, what homura says will happen: you'll be away from everyone forever. it will accomplish ~something~, but i will not tell you what. it will make me very sad. please comfort me. (which madoka does, because of course. lest we forget part of what she says is she would never want to make someone as strong as homura sad.)
what actually happens: you will have the power to save every magical girl from suffering. you will become a conceptual god, which will remove you from your human life. but you will also be with every magical girl, always, and give them comfort. you will not only have your own agency, but make sure that the wishes of magical girls everywhere MATTER and don't end in despair. including your own. even when you would become a witch and despair, you will save yourself. and when i die, i will be with you as well.
Tumblr media
i think by framing it this way, homura IS being honest about how it "felt" to her. but homura also misunderstands what madoka wants.
first of all, madoka's life as a regular human... well, i'm not going to say it was unhappy. but i think it was unfulfilled. i think madoka was an insecure girl without much sense of what she wanted in life. and it was also ignorant. ignorant of the pain of the world, of the suffering that other magical girls had gone through. it was privileged, but it was also, in this way, empty.
madoka’s self-actualization (in the series) has a lot to do with helplessness vs being able to make a difference. in short, she wants agency. what her wish does is give her that agency, which she trades for her life as a normal human.
what homura’s wish does is the reverse. it’s giving madoka her humanity back, but in return, she no longer has agency. she doesn’t get to do the self-actualization of becoming someone with the power to help others. she is, in that sense, suppressed.
Tumblr media
so. like. yes, THAT “regular magical girl who knows zero context of her own character arc” version of madoka? of COURSE she doesn’t want to leave everyone behind. big duh. she isn’t told what it would accomplish (in any specific terms), she isnt aware of how it would create a version of herself with the power to change the world. nor is she acquainted with the non-magical girl version of her in the pmmm series, who had no agency at all until she chose to become a god.
in the series, that is not a moment of despair for madoka. that is when she finds hope. that is when she attains a world where she can give rest to all magical girls. and give herself a reason to fight. that hope and determination carries her, and she is with it forever.
it’s also worth noting, rebellion!madoka's not just saying it would make her sad. she is also doubting herself. she's saying she is far “too spineless” to do it. how she's this weak, helpless person who would never be able to leave people for a greater calling.
putting aside how she’s not really gone / at least exists in this abstract way - she is also demonstrating how she doesn't believe in herself. so even this "happy" magical girl version of madoka still has some of the helpless insecurity of her series counterpart. she may live a relatively peaceful life, but she is not fulfilled. she lacks the purpose, determination and hope of her series counterpart.
in other words, even this version of madoka needs to self-actualize. and part of her knows that. in homura's "happy" new realm, madoka "feels wrong." she seems shy and insecure. ill at ease. uncomfortable. like she's at the start of her arc, not the end. yet the godlike power within her refuses to be erased. it can only be held back. for now.
Tumblr media
in a way, i see homura trapping madoka a bit like the symbolism of not letting someone grow up. sure, adulthood might not be as "simple and happy" as childhood, but it also gives you knowledge and agency in life. it allows you to learn & grow, understand the world as it is, make educated choices in who you want to be, and become that best version of yourself. THAT is what madoka is denied. that is how she feels wrong in this “happy” illusion realm that homura creates.
also. god madoka would definitely be a lot happier if she could be with homura in heaven and have the ability to save her lol.
but there's a problem with that, for homura. and that problem is, that would give madoka the agency in the situation, and leave homura the passive receiver of blessings. which is at odds with homura’s own desire for control. like madoka, she wants to not be helpless and have the ability to affect the story. after all, she did fail to stop madoka in the series. i think homura wants some of that agency, too. hence the imagery of her soul gem going from a pawn to a queen.
Tumblr media
essentially, i see this as a conflict between two sides who want to be in charge of their own destinies. they've been stripped of their agency by the world, and they want to have it back - no matter what it would cost. this is what they have in common.
when homura refused to join madoka in "magical girl heaven", she was ultimately refusing happiness for the sake of agency. for the sake of being able to be "madoka's hero." that's what she always wanted to be, and failed to be in the original series.
tl;dr: there is something tragic in madoka's wish. for sure. but i think it gives madoka agency in the world, which she always wanted. i think being able to help others can be genuinely fulfilling for the individual, rather than just a sacrifice. it’s empowering, as much as it is the loss of old self. and i think homura wants to feel like that kind of hero, too - no matter what. they both do.

Taking Things At Face Value
This post is dedicated to all those Ninas out there, who are "just enjoying the show."
I have been pondering an problem that had come up for a second time in another meta I'm writing (I left it out of an earlier one for clarity) regarding acknowledgement of identity and faces in S2, but when you keep running into the same road-block, you have to tackle it head on. Then I ran into the exact same problem a third time here, and the beginnings of this meta has sat in my drafts file staring at me for several weeks while I've been doing other things. But finally, finally, the answer has come to me, while being kept awake by a passing thunderstorm at 1.30am.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MRS SANDWICH: You're a good lad. CROWLEY: I'm not actually, either. But thank you.
Let's start with this exchange between Crowley and Mrs Sandwich, after Crowley has led all the Whickber St shopkeepers out of the ball to apparent safety. She calls him a "good lad," and he denies it, but thanks her anyway, and gives her a charming smile. We all know Crowley hates being called 'nice' and the last time he did something 'good' he got dragged down to Hell for punishment, so it seems like an odd thing to happen.
But the thing is, while Mrs Sandwich is complimenting his actions, he is responding about his appearance - that is neither 'good' (i.e. he is a demon) or a male human (i.e. he is an supernatural non-gendered entity.)
At this point you might be going "yeah, yeah, we know, we get that! Move along op..." but this matters, as you soon will see. We should also note that neither Crowley or Aziraphale judge Mrs Sandwich for being a brothel madame (how Aziraphale does not know this when her shop is just over the road from his I will never fathom, but there you go) and Crowley is actually quite charming all-round to his parallel character (prostitution and demons going hand-in-hand - er, not literally. But they went out the door as the vanguard arm-in-arm, though.)
The Metatron turning up at the bookshop in person is the next scene on the cards. Firstly, archangel Michael doesn't recognize him, but Saraqael obviously does.
Tumblr media
Now, I know I'm guilty of saying that Michael may have had their memory adjusted at some time, but I'm going to suggest something else at this point. Saraqael knows who this is, because they have just had a fresh reminder from watching the recordings of Gabriel with Crowley and Muriel. And Saraqael is a pretty smart angel, so lets give them some leeway on this one. But for Michael, well, they are in the same situation as Aziraphale. They have only seen the Metatron as giant floating head without a body, so don't associate him with this appearance before them, and also because he has a beard.
Just before you jump on me and say "But he had one in the recordings!" yes, yes, I know. Two things, though, I want to bring to your attention: angels are not supposed to have facial hair,* and he doesn't have any in S1 (I checked!) and he also makes the comment "This calls for much less attention, though." Yeah, well a giant head floating through the streets of Soho would be quite a sight, wouldn't it, even though they had already been treated to the view of Gabriel's royal rear-end. Aziraphale had only met him once before, as a giant floating head in S1E4 who had had to introduce himself, so we could surmise this is Michael's problem as well, even though they were at Gabriel's trial. This is backed up by a tumblr ask/answer from NG as well, where he said "I think because they normally see him as a giant floating head, and not as a little man in a raincoat."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MICHAEL: Um, and who are you? METATRON: For Heaven's sake. And I mean that most literally. You don't know me? Well, uh, what about you? Demon? Do you know me?
Demon. That is what the Metatron chooses to call Crowley in that company, and we know in hindsight that he knows Crowley's name - as does Uriel, and Gabriel. Even Muriel learns it. But they don't use it, at least not in S2.
Tumblr media
Even more notable is that the archangels don't deign to him give the respect of using his chosen name at all. He's not not even their enemy at this point - he's beneath their notice altogether, even though they are in the same room. Only Aziraphale seems to acknowledge his existence, instinctively trying to reach out to him as he passes by.
Tumblr media
To Nina, people are coffee preferences.
Tumblr media
To Mrs Sandwich, they are desires that need servicing.
Tumblr media
So then question I had, and that stopped me, was why did both Crowley and Gabriel question Beelzebub about their new face?
Tumblr media
It stood out to me because you don't normally make an obvious comment about the change of actor for a character, and to do it twice - !! You can't ignore that. No meta writer should ignore that. There is a trope term for this, actually, called "lampshading," which means to intentionally call attention to an incongruent situation within a story before moving on, but in a show where nothing is an accident, this seems a bit trite to me. Eventually I realized that this was the whole crux of the problem to me - that while we all too readily take things at face value, its not the faces that really influence us, its our internal values.
In the case of Beelzebub, Crowley recognizes the demon, their power, and their identity via the flies without any doubt; he merely comments on the change of exterior appearance. In terms of value, he knows straight away he's dealing with someone dangerous, no matter what they look like. Gabriel, on the other hand, is judging the book by its cover, and because he doesn't recognize the new cover, he needs proof of which demon he's dealing with, or maybe if they are even a demon at all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Bravo," says Nina, "Just enjoying the show." She's already seen a few that week, not to mention just in the general flow of life as a shop owner involved with customer service. If you've had any sort of life in a customer service role I'm sure you've got a few stories you could tell of things you've seen or experienced as well! I know I can.
The conversation between Nina and Crowley after Aziraphale walks away is amusing for all the assumptions Nina makes about them based on what she's observed that week, but also because Crowley tells the truth every in every reply to Nina, and yet she still has no idea what he's really saying. But her judgements, based on her experience and values, still manage to drop the proverbial ton of bricks on his head so badly he slinks off to sooth himself with some alcohol while he thinks about it instead of catching up with Aziraphale to continue being the angel's nameless shadow.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This problem with judging people on previous experience and not on who they actually are is everywhere in S2.
It's Ennon treating Aziraphale, an angel he's never met before, as a slut.
Tumblr media
It's Elspeth judging Aziraphale on his accent.
Tumblr media
It's Mrs H. giving a powerful demon a blistering tongue-lashing because she thinks he's a just simple human black marketeer.
Tumblr media
It's Crowley refusing to call Gabriel "Jim" because he believes Gabriel is faking it.
Tumblr media
...and so on. These are just a few examples. I'm sure you can spot a few more.
Which brings us back around to the meeting of the supernatural Councils in the bookshop in S2E6 and Crowley's "invisibility" to the other angels and demons gathered there. A demon to the archangels, an arch-traitor to the demons, why would they want to acknowledge him? Once he restores Gabriel, he becomes rank-less and faceless to them because they don't need him any more - its basically an act of celestial racism.
Tumblr media
Nina and Maggie don't really know any better, they still think Mr Crowley and Mr Fell are just, well, "partners." OK, so maybe they've been doing some weird shit the last few days manipulating things in the neighbourhood but they're still obviously a couple a group of the two of them in their human eyes - and neither do they seem to care that they seem to be mlm, either. No judgement there.
A number of times I've seen ops say they've been watching GO with family members who are seeing it for the first time, and the family member thinks they are just "close friends." Why? Because they haven't seen S2 and the kiss? Because they haven't verbally said "I love you" to each other? Do they really need to say that to prove their feelings for each other? Is that just your values creeping to the fore?
And where did you get your values from?
Tumblr media
Sometimes you need to stop and question why you think what you think. I'm not just talking about religious indoctrination. Some expectations put on us by by society at large can be insidious. Expectations around how gender should act, the life purpose of a gender, your worth to society if you don't meet certain unspoken standards, age-related behaviour, social norms around alcohol consumption, the way they dress, what someone eats, the way they eat it, that you must be seen to be productive, or busy...take your pick for whatever is prevalent around you at the moment and for your culture. Just start by noticing, and being aware.
Tumblr media
Yes, it is pointless, because demons and angels all come from the same angelic stock. There was a bit of a disagreement at one point and they split into two groups, and judgemental labels got applied to them. They are both still bureaucratic horrors. Which ever side wins the final battle, humans still lose.
Tumblr media
Mortal humans all look the same inside, too, if you take their face and skin away and take the societal labels off them. We forget that about ourselves all the time.
There doesn't have to be any wibbly-wobbly timeline stuff going on to explain things. What ever happened to the concept of Occam's Razor? The simplest answer is usually the correct one. And that was what I realized in the middle of the night - the cliche I had used to title this was the answer. It's about being aware of those ingrained, instinctive, judgmental values that you don't realize you've learnt, and looking past the faces that you meet.
*oh lawdy, I'm giving strength to all of you who want to believe he is a demon then, aren't I? But do demons have facial hair either?

Sand & Perspective
So Sand finally gets the attention this episode, and it's demonstrated a lot of things: namely, that as much as he has brushed it off, he is down bad for Ray. Like really bad. Honestly, he's down even worse than I thought.
A lot of this is evident in his narration, a device which has been used quite skillfully up to this point (I'm usually pretty wary of narration in shows, but I think it suits the general tone of OF and its large cast of characters). It's also exposed something I didn't think too much about before this episode--Sand and Ray's relationship has been consistently filtered through Ray's perspective. We've witnessed Sand's lingering looks and blushes, but with the exception of a few scenes, we've always been right alongside Ray.
"I gotta work for everything I want."
So what do we learn about Sand? He's a caretaker by nature--we knew that already--but we come to understand the root of this trait in his upbringing; he was forced to grow up fast as a result of being raised in a single-parent household. He's managed to get his mother out of her debts in the past. From this, and Sand's ability to earn money from multiple jobs, we can gather that Sand is both pragmatic and determined. Though his lifestyle seems lonely and monotonous, there's no indication that he necessarily feels that way about it; rather, he sees it as the "way things are."
Again, this seems to be the marker of a person who has grown up paving his own way, not expecting others to give him anything for free. (This also explains why he was so uncomfortable with Ray throwing money at him in Ep 4.)
Tumblr media
I find Sand's dreams interesting as well. We know he idolizes musicians, but when Ray asks him if he wants to become a famous musician himself one day, he instead describes going to music festivals. To me, this indicates that Sand might not be interested in achieving his own stardom so much as he wants to be part of a collective. It's the thrill of enjoying music with others that attracts him, and I don't think it's any coincidence that we see him doing that very thing with Ray twice prior to this discussion (once at the record store in Ep4, and once at the concert in Ep5). It's illustrating how Ray plays a part in Sand's interests, bringing the two of them closer in the process.
"Ray's Extra Hour"
Sand falls hard and fast, and a large part of this can be attributed to his obligations as a caretaker. He's motivated to help others and offer support, because that's just who he is. Still, the fact that he's willing to carve out an extra hour in his day for Ray is very telling of just how deeply he feels for Ray already. It all brings me back to the first sign of feelings Sand demonstrates in Ep1:
Tumblr media
Sand sees Ray as someone in need of help, and I suspect that role will only become more prominent as he continues to unveil just how broken Ray is by his past.
"I've always thought Ray is my 25th hour, my extra hour. But the truth is everyone has the same 24 hours in a day.
I see these lines as Sand coming back to reality. There is no actual "25th hour"; it's a piece of time he's invented to categorize the part of his life he's now devoted to Ray. Sand is pragmatic, but he's allowed himself to live in what he thinks is a fantasy; a fabrication.
Tumblr media
"And within Ray's 24 hours, I'm not a part of it. I'm not that special."
As several others have pointed out, Sand's language here mirrors Ray's last episode. Sand wants to be cherished by Ray the way Ray wants to be cherished by Mew. Will we see Sand resort to his old routine, pushing Ray away the way he tried to once before? Will we witness Sand recommitting himself to his dream, narrowing in on his goals and isolating himself from Ray in the process (to protect his own feelings)? I predict we will see some of that, but Sand will ultimately run back to Ray at the first sign of distress. Because like or not, he cares about Ray, even if Ray doesn't put him first. His feelings won't just disappear overnight.

well here is sunny's scuffed gif tutorial for anyone who wants to learn how to gif 🎉🎉
so first of all you're obviously going to need a clip of whatever you want to gif. you can either download full videos or use a screen recorder (like obs for example) to record the specific scene you want to gif
once you have your clip you go into photoshop and look for "file -> import -> video frames to layers" then choose your clip and you'll get a screen like this
Tumblr media
you can use the two small arrows to trim the clip to just what you need then click ok and it will open the clip up into frames
(btw if you don't already have it on make sure to go to "window" and turn on timeline. that's where you will see the frames)
now personally my first step is cropping and resizing. cropping is kind of self explanatory but to resize the gif make sure you go to "image -> image size" (NOT canvas size. just wanted to say that since the options are kind of similar) (although you can still use canvas size for cropping) and here is a handy little chart that is helpful if you want to know what to resize gifs to (width is what's important here height can be whatever you want it to be)
Tumblr media
now personally my next step is sharpening although you can probably also do this at the end. i use maizekeen's gif sharpening actions (if you don't know how to use actions in photoshop there are many tutorials online but very basically you download the actions then go into the actions menu (windows -> action if you don't have it open) and click on load actions) and then from there you just choose your action and click the play button
then after that is usually when i delete any extra unwanted frames in the timeline (it's not necessary to delete the frames from the layers panel)
NOW is the fun part and also where a lot of this becomes up to taste and personal style ✨
make sure you have your adjustment panel open (window -> adjustments)
Tumblr media
the ones underlined are the main ones i use. i recommend playing around and seeing what does what and seeing what ends up looking cool to you
oh and when you use adjustment layers make sure they are above all the layers of the gif like this
Tumblr media
i made some different edits of the same gif to show some of the different things you can do. like i said it's up to personal taste and style
here is the original unedited for comparison
Tumblr media
and here are some different edits i did real quick to hopefully give you some ideas for what you can do
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and if you want to change the speed of a gif make sure to select all frames and then use this little arrow
Tumblr media
i tend to use either 0.05 or 0.04 since anything faster or slower tends to start looking wonky but you can try it out yourself and see what looks good to you
btw here is the difference between 0.05 (left) and 0.04 (right)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NOW FOR SAVING
when you feel like you're done you wanna go to "export -> save for web" (it might say legacy next to yours it still works the same) and you will get a window like this
Tumblr media
the most important things here are the two options i circled. most of the time i just leave these at adaptive and pattern. perceptual and selective can be used in place of adaptive but i've found that adaptive tends to look best. diffusion instead of pattern can help lower the size of a file in some situations but it doesn't always work but for the love of god please don't set it to "no dither". also make sure the looping option is set to forever (unless you specifically wanna make a non looping gif)
and from this menu you can preview your gif (lower left corner). slightly above the preview button is where you can see your file size (in this case this gif is 7.8mb) tumblr says their gif limit is 10mb but in reality it's slightly less than that so if your gif is 9.7~9.8mb it's probably too big
now if everything looks good then just click on save and name your gif and you're done 👍
now i'm sure there are a lot of things i didn't explain well so if there are any question feel free to send me an ask or a dm and i'll try to explain things more in depth :)

You and kurt have been friends since the beginning of nirvana, you were a musician in the same scene, had the same believes, and tastes. You personality were quite different though. You were a little more outgoing You had your shy moments yea but doesn't everybody.
Kurt's was more shy and reserved, he did have his burst of energy moments though, especially on stage, many who observed you friendship thought you two were in a relationship you were quick too shut them down though you two were friends that's it that's all.
Kurt had called you asking if you want to play a solo on one of his songs, you were suprised one because kurt didn't collaborate too often and two, cause he wasn't one for solos either. But of course you excepted, who were you to turn down a opportunity like this, so next day you packed you guitar and headed to the studio
"Kurt!"
"Y/n, hi!"
You two hugged for a moment, Kurt's become a very busy man in the last couple years so you haven't had much time to hang out
"I missed you man how are you" you said taking in his new hair, no longer a dark brown color
" I've been doing good, touring us grueling as hell though" he said sitting down lighting a cig before turning to you with a worry look and quickly going to put it out.
"Kurt I smoke Tolman, you don't have to not smoke around, I promise you my asthma stops nothing"
"I know I know, I'm just trying to be thoughtful" he said relaxing after your statement
"Well thank you that's very sweet but you don't have too" you say before ruffling his hair and going to set down you guitar case and start tuning.
As soon as you start tuning the e string, a man with long brown hair walks in with two drumsticks in hand
"Sorry I'm late, traffick was shit" he said absent mindly
" it's all good man, hey let me introduce you two, this is y/n, y/n this is dave our drummer"
"Hi" you said brightly, happy to meet a new person
"Hi" dave replied with a love struck look that you didn't quite know what emotion he was feeling
" so it's only gonna be you two working in the studio, kris is visiting his girlfriend and the main guitar and vocals are already recorded, the only job left is the solo and the Drums behind the solo" the producer chimed in
So you finished tuning threw some ideas back and forth with kurt about what the solo should sound like and got to work.
You made your way to the booth and briefly just marked your solo to dave so he can come up with the beat and extras like fills and such. You did pick up on the fact that he might be a little off his game.
Kurt had mentioned dave before, talked about how he was kinda shy in his own personal way, you had also picked up on how he spoke a lot less than the rest of the members. So you just chalked it up to you being new and unfamiliar, qnd the blush on his cheeks from the heat considering it is summer.
You and Dave started playing and it was amazing, you didn't have to more than two takes. You were so excited about how well it went that as soon as you put down your guitar you rushed to hug dave as he was standing up from his kit.
"OH shit I'm so sorry I was just really excited about how well that went that I had seem to forget that person space exists" you said pulling away once common sense kicked in
"nah it alright, I was actually mean to ask you something?" He said kind of tense
" wass up?" You said messing with your hair a bit
" would you like to go on a date friday, I really wanna get to k-know you better" dave said really nervous at this point
"I would love that umm aha here we go this is my number call me" you said grabbed a piece of paper writing your number and giving it to the musician
You said your goodbyes and set up plans to hang out with kurt, you ste up a time you were gonna see dave on Friday and head to you car feeling on top of the world

I have finally finished my first BG3 playthrough
Gonna go into HUGE detail below the cut over all my thoughts, including spoilers of potentially everything I've encountered in the game (and maybe a few I haven't but already know about)
Tumblr media
Playtime
Might as well just start with the obvious question: what was my playtime?
Tumblr media
A little over 344 hours.
Granted that's total playtime, I spent a lot of time (though not as long as you'd think) in act 1 with several characters that didn't go anywhere, only actually progressing with Alice after like a month of waffling on what/who to play. Or going back to old saves to take screenshots or record for gifs (which reminds me, I can go back and make all sorts of gifs now if I want) or to test my extremely scientific tumblr posts on how to recruit Minthara by giving her a concussion.
Total ACTUAL playtime for my main tav
Tumblr media
A more respectable 189 hours, not counting the epilogue which was like, an hour tops.
While I played a ton in 2023, my opportunity to play has been hampered this year somewhat. Which is why it took me til March to finish when I reached act 3 in DECEMBER. That's three months to get to Act 3, but but 4 months to finish it. And I didn't even do all the sidequests! I gave up on the painter's wife and the necromancy guy, and didn't even start the Umberlee thing (is that even a sidequest? I honestly don't know) Which still amounts to doing a LOT anyway, and not having the tiefling npcs around didn't feel like it impacted much outside of a lack of a vendor.
The Grove and Minthara
Speaking of which, I guess I should talk about my act 1 choices, and why I went with raiding the grove and romancing Minthara for my first playthrough (a thing that seems to be incredibly rare from what I've seen of poll responses here)
Tumblr media
When you don't want to admit you committed mass murder for some pussy, and maybe a chance to save the world I guess
In short, my plan was for my Sorcadin (Oath of Glory Paladin/Shadow Sorcerer) to have a lapse in act 1 and break her oath in an attempt to get close to Minthara and sway her from the Absolute, before fighting to defend the grove and restoring her oath in the process, but that act would leave a stain on her soul (the levels of Shadow Sorcerer thanks to a mod).
But then I fell absolutely head over heels for her. Oops.
This was back before a way to recruit her while saving the tieflings was a part of the game, and for whatever reason I didn't want to use the mod that let you do it. So I thought, I'll split my saves at the grove battle where I betray or side with the tieflings. So betraying them is, well an ordeal for sure, but then Minthara's scene.
Oh boy
HAAAAAA
So yeah, after completing all that and then going back and fighting for the grove, I thought about it for like a week or two before deciding, screw playing the game twice with this split point, I'll continue from the betray the grove point, see where this goes. And just like that my character goes from a faltering hero to a fallen one. Instead of immediately restoring her oath, she would remain an oathbreaker for the rest of act 1 and nearly all of act 2.
Act 2
By far the biggest impact your choices in act 1 have are on your path through act 2. Technically you can go either way (meeting the harpers and reaching Last Light Inn first, or following Kar'niss' caravan straight to Moonrise Tower) regardless of your actions, but the game nudges you subtly to one or the other, mainly by pointing to where your potential allies will be. So I wound up at Moonrise first, and I had Minthara recruited very early in Act 2.
Essentially I did the act backwards compared to how many people would do it, going from Moonrise, to the surrounding town, to Last Light, then the Monastery, the Gauntlet of Shar, and finally the assault on Moonrise. My party's turning point to "good guys" during all this was basically right when they fight to defend Isobel at Last Light, making that particularly hard fight feel really meaningful to the story (it weirds me out how many people recommend skipping it, like what just save before, it's hard but not impossible)
This resulted in Act 2 having this seemingly intended escalation to it; we are at our lowest on the way to Moonrise. The dream visitor scene you can get on the way is really good here, they ask you how you felt about what happened to the grove. Very funny how they have an encouraging answer whether you say you don't care or you regret it. Especially after we find out who they really are.
Exploring the NPCs at Moonrise feels like a weird dark mirror of the grove, all these seemingly normal people doing their thing but talking about committing the worst atrocities so casually. Then you run into Minthara—your one real ally here—and she's been made a prisoner? By a seemingly immortal general! Seriously seeing Ketheric before hearing Jaheira's summary of him is a trip. And then I went to free Minthara from her prisoners, getting advantage on the wisdom check to break her free of the Absolute's voice cause of my previous relationship with her, and oh wow this is like the second best scene in the game this was the best decision I ever made in a game! Now let's make these bastard cultists bleed!!
Oh I was all in on Minthara's side at that point.
And yet weirdly ready to try and be a hero again. Alice had a purpose again, and allies willing to see it through. Though Wyll and Karlach had abandoned her at the grove, she was now invested in those who remained, and begins striving to lead them better. She strikes her first blow against the cultists by killing Marcus, and at the Gauntlet of Shar, while at first I tried to push Shadowheart toward sparing the Nightsong (which went horribly bad) instead Alice said she doesn't like it, but doesn't want to lose her, so she'll back her up no matter her choice.
And Shadowheart chose to spare the Nightsong. And I was introduced to my OTHER favorite character in the whole game, Dame Aylin!
And now the act hits its highest point. Having Minthara with me for the assault on Moonrise feels SO right, she has dialogue with Z'rell, a reason to be there in every fight to come, the final battle is
JUST
Tumblr media
It's so cool.
And then Minthara has one of if not her best scene in the whole game
Tumblr media
Not only this line, but her whole speech on Orin, her continued quest for vengeance, with the ultimate goal of replacing the Chosen Three and becoming the Absolute. And shortly after Minthara confesses to her, and I was so blown away that it happened so early!
This was also when her romance was still a shambling pile of broken flags, and I was so happy it actually worked I immediately restored Alice's oath, as she renews her vow to seek legendary heights of glory (by seizing the elder brain).
Leaving the shadowlands and heading to act 3 also leads to the last (major) change caused by my choices in act 1; the shadow curse remains. I did attempt Art's quest, which ended when we had to confirm that Halsin was dead (or so we thought, but wait until I talk about that much later!), leaving the curse unliftable.
And honestly, probably the biggest let down I've noticed about the 'good' path through act 2 versus the more 'evil' one I took is that, the curse kinda never stops being a problem in the evil path, while the good path trivializes it so early. Once you get a hold of a Moon lantern (which you can do early if you turn on Kar'niss and then on the harpers), you can just release Dolly Dolly Dolly and be safe from basically all of the curse. If you maintain your cover as a cultist, Kar'niss disappears until the end of the arc, at which the moon lantern he drops has a dead Dolly in it, so no permanent buff (not that it would matter at that point). And the moon lantern you can pick up in Balthazar's room doesn't have a pixie to release.
I dunno, you can already lift the curse in the good playthrough, seems like an odd choice to make it more trivial in that one than the other path. Still, having to manage our moon lantern use throughout the whole area, kinda made exploring it feel more significant, and knowing when it was safe or not to put away the lantern made it at least a little more interesting to explore certain areas, whereas players on the good path probably don't even know there are individual buildings with a deeper curse that even the Selunite blessing doesn't protect, necessitating still using the lantern.
So despite not having Halsin's whole quest with Art, Thaniel and Oliver, I still KINDA prefer the way it played out for me. Might change my mind in the future if I actually do that quest line, Thaniel and Oliver are interesting enough characters to make that worthwhile from what I've seen.
Act 3
At this point I've been playing for 3 months and I finally make it to act 3. The mission here being "get Minthara's approval as high as possible without breaking your oath". In short:
Tumblr media
Crushed it. And no oath broken.
But before that, we had to deal with the little problem of Orin's kidnapping victim being Minthara. For SOME reason, Minthara is the only companion who can be abducted even if she's currently being romanced (she just has to not be in the party at the time it happens).
Which is devastating, but also REALLY good story telling, cause you just told her not like an hour ago that you'd keep her safe from Orin.
So my first task upon entering the Lower City was "find Orin and rescue Minthara". I stepped right over that agreement to go after Gortash first, and instead tracked down a few of the Bhaalist murders, which led me to the Tribunal, standing before Sarevok to be accepted as an Unholy Assassin, not REALLY knowing what I was doing at this point, and then I'm asked to kill Valeria (who was a jerk during the investigation, but not nearly that bad) and, feeling myself up against the wall, say FUCK IT WE BALL and refused to kill her.
And Somehow. I managed to beat Sarevok, despite being surrounded by cultists buffing him up. My team was Shadowheart, Lae'zel and Gale, and lemme tell you that's POTENT (this was before I got the Markoheshkir for Gale but, turns out a level 11 Wizard is REALLY STRONG so it doesn't matter)
The way the journal updated made me worried that if I took a long rest, Minthara would be killed, so. I went looking for the Temple of Bhaal, getting lost in the sewers until I finally found it, and went to face Orin WITHOUT LONG RESTING AFTER SAREVOK.
I wasn't even at max level, or had much of the good equipment in act 3. Unstoppable is a Bitch of a mechanic, and silly me didn't prepare Magic Missle on Gale (which would have trivialized it). So I had Alice, Lae'zel, and Minthara chip-chip-chipping away at 7 stacks of Unstoppable, only occasionally getting a hit through, all while Gale provided support by burning just SO MANY high level scrolls (he ran out of slots at some point), and I forget what I was doing with Shadowheart. I still don't think I understood the mechanic, but I did get an achievement for killing Orin while the cultists were still performing their ritual, so I guess I brute-forced it like some have done with Grimm.
So, after Orin the rest of Act 3 was a breeze by comparison. Except the House of Hope, that was ALSO a bitch of a fight, and unlike Orin I had to reload after a party wipe. Just once though, I beat Raphael with just Minthara up, taking out his last 10 hp with a Psionic Backlash just as he was about to roast her with Incinerate again.
Other than those, the actual rest of Act 3 was... well, I mean it was fine. I did just about everything, found and recruited Minsc, was confused that the Emperor tries to talk you OUT of recruiting him for being too unpredictable, yet he never once raises an objection to bringing on Minthara. I dunno it made sense with my playthrough cause she basically never spent time as an enemy, but it's still WEIRD and not really a choice worth doing differently. Which will become a bit of a theme with Act 3.
As I said at the start, Act 3 took me longer than any other, but I did take my sweet time there. The sheer number of npcs that you can talk to is still incredible, I fell into some quests like the Mouth Gazette accidentally, and completing those was involved but didn't take too long.
Once I had taken out Gortash, we were basically ready to go straight to the end game. The path to it being through the Temple of Bhaal driving home the point even more that I was meant to tackle Orin last, but no WAY was my wife going to miss out on the entire Act 3.
My last big exciting moment for the playthrough was when Minthara spoke up out of nowhere while heading into the temple
Tumblr media
That's right, I got the Alurlssrin line here, since Minthara wasn't around for it the first time I went to fight Orin. But, since the game doesn't check to see if Orin was still alive (or it did but it bugged?) I still got it anyway!
Tumblr media
She still says we have to go kill Orin, but who cares! This was literally one of my major goals in the game, my Get Kim to Wear The Jacket of Baldur's Gate 3 (whereas that achievement was basically the best thing I did in Disco Elysium). So happy to get it my first playthrough.
High Hall
As for the end of the game, while I can see how it would be harder on higher difficulties, I still think I'd have a much harder time with earlier fights. I didn't play this optimally at all, not using elixirs nor summoning many of my allies. I kinda was worried about "using them too early" but I think you're meant to use them or they go to waste.
Now I had a lot of allies. Red dragon air support, Harpers, Guild assassins, Elite Fist unit, VOLO, and even Yurgir! I only summoned the Harpers and Yurgir, and they were fine, but I think Volo is actually the strongest ally. His "Volo's Guide to Monsters" condition that gives +2 to attacks, saves and checks, that's insanely good!
Meanwhile I was noticably missing some allies. Where were Isobel and Aylin? Where were the Gondians and the Steel Watch they're supposed to give me? Especially with the abrupt way Isobel and Aylin exited the game after Lorroakan (another choice that wasn't a real choice cause why the FUCK would I betray Aylin at that point), it was a let down. As was siding with the Gondians when Wulbren gave me zero reason to sympathize with me (it felt like a Lorroakan again, you need a reason to hate this character to refuse them, so they try to do something you would absolutely not do given the choices you've already made)
At least I finally know why people hate Wulbren, but MAN does that not feel earned.
My Final Party
Since I was locked into my party from boarding the boat to the credits, I might as well talk about who I took, and what build I used for them.
Alice (6 Paladin / 6 Sorcerer)
Pretty standard Sorcadin for my Tav, I had her wielding the Jorgal's Greatsword, eventually swapping to the Sword of Chaos (never got Balduran Giantslayer. No Wyll so I don't know what an Ansur is lol). I used mods for BOTH subclasses, Oath of Glory and Shadow Sorcerer respectively. I'm gonna be honest, Sorcadin wasn't as impressive as I was hoping it would be. First, Glory Oath has its charms (the mod user tweaked a lot as this oath is meant for grappling builds in tabletop), but the spell list was meh. Guiding Bolt didn't prove to be as useful as I hoped, and Oath of Devotion's tenets for oathbreaking works fine I guess, but doesn't quite match up perfectly.
Like I interpret it as Alice trying to become the kind of legend told in stories about truly heroic figures, hence the oath tenets making me stick with a knight in shining armor type for most choices. Still it means I could make all the best choices for my companions, so they can be the best they can be, and that's perfectly fitting for the Oath of Glory.
What made this REALLY take off was the level 6 abilities for Shadow Sorcerer, at least the version the mod maker made for Baldur's Gate. At level 6 you get Hound of Ill Omen, essentially a familiar that can perform an attack that can knock enemies prone, but you have to designate the target, which you can swap freely once each turn. You ALSO get Shadow Step, which is BONKERS in BG3 for mobility, as there's almost always some minor obscurement. She zipped around everywhere, concentrated on Haste and SMITE SMOTE all into oblivion.
Minthara (9 Paladin / 3 Rogue)
Of course I had to keep Minthara a Vengeance Paladin, it's so much of who she is. I gave her 3 levels of Thief Rogue for the extra bonus action, and the Dual Wielder feat so she could wield the Handmaiden's Mace in the offhand (letting her dump Strength) and the Devotee's Mace in main. The Alert feat basically meant she always went first, and could set up with Soul Brands or an early burst and just delete ANYTHING in one go, all while concentrating on Haste for just infinity attacks.
This build doesn't have TWF but honestly, I didn't miss it. The Handmaiden's main use is the stat boost, and it can poison, so once the target is poisoned I don't necessarily need to make attacks with it and just use all the Soul Branding I want. Or do bonus action dashes to move anywhere. And since in the end I made her partial illithid, she was BY FAR my most mobile party member, even more than Alice. Levitate + Thief Rogue's bonus actions means you can get absolutely ANYWHERE if you want.
And call me a simp but I love it when she growls "I am your death" or "No survivors" and then actually kills every mother fucker she clicks on. With Vow of Enmity up, plus The Dead Shot for lower crit rate, she critted quite a lot, especially when I gave her an elixir of viciousness (appropriate). It takes a lot to out damage a Sorcadin, but she managed.
Lae'zel (12 Fighter)
You know what's almost as good as a Sorcadin or crit-fishing Paladin, damage-wise? A Gith with 12 straight levels of Battlemaster Fighter, and the Silver Sword of the Astral Plane. She managed to out damage Minthara on the Red Dragon in the final battle, Precision Attacking with GWM to get SO MUCH damage in, the dragon was dead in like 3 turns.
Shadowheart (2 Paladin / 10 Cleric)
This was a bit of a weird one, and I would definitely do something different next time. The idea for this was, Paladin for smites and Ancients healing radiance, Light Cleric for spellcaster damage and using Sentinel to act as pseudo-tank. Selûne's Spear and Viconia's Walking Fortress with Reaper's Embrace for the highest AC in the group. Honestly this worked better than it looks on paper, mostly cause with the Amulet of Greater Health she had the most hp, and almost never lost concentration. Enemies still tried to attack her despite being more tanky, and I've had her soak up so much damage.
Next time I'm definitely going to resist the temptation to make Selûne Shadowheart a Light cleric (it's not even one of Selûne's domains) and I have some ideas for that with actual synergy with things like radiating orb, so hopefully next game she'll be more effective.
A New World for Ourselves
So we did it. Orpheus subjugated the crown, the Absolute is at our mercy. All that's left is to make that final decision. Do I destroy the brain, ridding us of the tadpoles and the threat of the Netherbrain forever, or do I betray everyone so that Minthara and I can become the Absolute.
Tumblr media
Nothing could be more glorious! Of course I was going to pick this one!
Or do I? I mean, I could, and I did to find out what happens. But is it an ending? Maybe in the future when they make that update to the 'evil endings' that they mentioned recently, there'll be more to it. For now, it basically results in you deleting every other companion (except I believe if Minthara or Astrarion are your partner) and taking control of the Netherbrain to carry out your will with no one to stop you.
Tumblr media
It ALSO is one of the extremely rare times that Tav/Durge gets a spoken line in a cutscene, and hearing Lynsey Murrell (voice of Tav 8) say "In my name" will sustain me for weeks. Minthara saying "In your name" so much REALLY went to her head huh.
C'mon everyone who follows me saw it coming, why do you think I made my blog name literally "In My Name"? I am cringe but I am free.
But, as of right now, this ending amounts to little more than an alternative game over, until they add an epilogue for it. There isn't even a stinger scene at the end of the credits. Oh well, I'm sure the actors will have a blast performing mind-controlled companions, when that finally comes out.
The Real Epilogue
So we did it. We ordered the brain to destroy all tadpoles (and taking away Minthara's veins and black eyes, which, they were cool, but I like her without them more) and then kill itself. Despite us being on it when it blows up, but after the gang climbs out of the river and onto the dock, we have our final moments before we go our separate ways.
Tumblr media
btw this lady, who goes to town on a Mind Flayer to protect the tiefling kid? She's so badass and I think I love her. God I'm so weak to fearless women kicking the crap out of things, and this game just doesn't stop delivering on that front.
Tumblr media
Minthara is taking the brain's destruction incredibly well, probably due to being rid of the tadpole at last.
I honored Orpheus' wishes and put him down so he can be a martyr for his people. Lae'zel departed to return to the Astral Plane for the war against Vlaakith, and poor Astarion had to run off cause the sun started burning him. As for Gale, I thought I had messed up his quest by not bringing him to the last battle, but he did in fact get a choice to retrieve the crown for himself or Mystra, or to leave it. I told him he should leave it. Still spiteful to Mystra, sorry not sorry, but at least he didn't make another mistake.
As we headed into the Epilogue, Minthara and I have been spending the six months weaving schemes and intrigue to take control of the city from the shadows. Probably the least evil option for Minthara's epilogue, but honestly it fits, Alice has achieved her legend status and Minthara has a genuine happy ending, not having to worry about all out warfare with her family (yet).
The Epilogue Party was as adorable as I had hoped it'd be. It was great to catch up with everyone, and it made me happy I used my oc from ffxiv, cause this is very much in line with the sort of "You fixed everything and everyone is praising you" ending the Warrior of Light gets in basically every expansion.
So after finishing the game, I have my thoughts. First off, I had such a great time, and fully intend to start another run (more on that later). I wouldn't say it's perfect; the epilogue does a good job to pad out the ending, but the base game ending after finishing the last battle is definitely pretty abrupt. But it's alleviated so much by seeing these characters I've spent so much time with, seen them struggle and grow, now finally getting closure. That still makes it worth it.
I am ashamed to admit I had to reload on the final battle after an impromptu party wipe. You'd think as a FFXIV savage raider I would be able to recognize "don't stand in the bad" mechanics and execute them perfectly since this is turn based. And not only did Shadowheart get hit by one of those nautiloid attacks, the final boss took us out because I didn't realize it'd blow up the platforms they were on. Still, as a savage raider maybe it makes perfect sense I'd have trouble not standing in bad.
There's one other thing I wanted to mention, something that a lot of people are concerned about when they play this game and I'm so happy I can say, after completing this run, that the Grove does not matter.
The Grove doesn't matter (just do it)
That's not even hyperbole, the grove literally doesn't matter. Notice I how I didn't have to mention it past act 2? That's because it matters basically only for act 2, while act 3 might as well exist on its own. Now I guess that makes sense if no npcs from the grove actually survive, since there's no one there to talk about them.
But like. Volo is right there. I saved him from cultists in act 3, and he shows up for the final battle and the epilogue, and he makes a big talk about telling my story, conveniently forgetting that whole part where I committed genocide for, as he himself noted at the time, no discernible reason.
Like I know I joke that you can raid the grove and still play the game as a 'good' character, and that's still true and I think it should at least be possible, but like. At least a mention?
I will tell you who I heard from that I was absolutely NOT expecting though:
Tumblr media
I'm sorry, fucking who??
Tumblr media
What?
So what seems to be going on here, is that because I never talked to Halsin after initiating "Raid the grove" in act 1, meaning he never left the goblin camp, the game never registered him as "dead" (even though you can tell Art that), but instead is treating him as "alive, and the shadowlands are still cursed"
Weird. I don't remember if I actually went back to the goblin camp and checked the worg pens to see if his body was there. But since Minthara showed up at Moonrise with his journal in her inventory, I just assumed she killed him before leaving to Moonrise.
It honestly would have been absolutely hilarious if I had gotten a "you may have saved the Sword Coast but I will never forgive you for what you did to the grove. May we never meet again" or something like that. But hey this is a party, we gotta stay upbeat!
Anyway the moral of the story is, if you haven't killed the grove yet, you should definitely kill the grove. Maybe not the one Larian intended, but it works for me.
What's Next?
I'm going to be taking a break from bg3 for a bit. There's a limited time event going on in ffxiv, and I still need to replay and finish Hi-Fi Rush (my other game of the year of 2023). After all of that, I have a few ideas for my next run, in order of preference:
Chosen of Eilistraee - Drow Bard/Rogue/Cleric (Shadowheart Romance)
I really wanna go back in and do another in-depth run as a more traditional 'chaotic good tav' like a lot of people did their first time, but with the luxury of being able to recruit every companion this time. I also really want to play through the game as a Bard, and play a more religion-focused character.
So a Drow Bard with the Cleric of Eilistraee dialogue options, and who will have a whole story involving obtaining Phalar Aluve (Eilistraee's weapon) AND Larethian's Wrath (Corellon's weapon) and dual wield them. Since Alice will no longer be my main tav after this (more below), I'll be giving this character the Guild Artisan (tav's canon background as far as I'm concerned) and she'll be my go-to heroic tav.
DU Minthara - Paladin/Sorcerer (Karlach OR Lae'zel Romance)
There's this brilliant mod that lets you play as any of the companions, Origin and non-Origin, using either Tav's or Dark Urge's dialogue. And listen. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense that Dark Urge is the perfect way to play Minthara AS an origin character.
I could romance either Karlach or Lae'zel (both incredible rarepairs, though Minthara/Karlach is less rare nowadays), but if I go with Karlach I'll HAVE to save the grove, because I don't want to risk her romance breaking if Dammon is dead. Plus fixing her engine means act 2 and 3 Karlach sex scenes with Minthara 😳 oooooh yes! Don't know if I'll be resist or embrace, but would aim for the Avernus ending. And of course with Lae'zel any way is fair game, meaning that grove is getting raided again boys!
And yes it is another Paladin/Sorcerer multiclass, don't judge me I'm going for a different level split this time and not using modded subclasses, and Storm Sorcerer is very Durge-appropriate.
Karlach Origin (Minthara Romance)
Same deal, but reverse. This will be my one concession to romancing Minthara on a 'good' playthrough. Normally I'm personally opposed to that; recruit her sure, but she needs someone willing to kill for her. That all changes with Karlach / Minthara, the tiefling has permission to concuss her and later kiss her, because she absolutely would, plus won't be around long enough to help Minthara with any of her plans anyway, so their future is either going to be brief or in Avernus (aiming for the latter as usual)
Can you tell I REALLY like this ship?
DU Alice - Paladin/Warlock (Minthara Romance)
I intend to replay Alice someday (need to let her story rest for a bit before I come back to it) this time using Dark Urge to fill in those needling holes in her background. Like just adding Durge makes everything about her character better imo. I'd play her as Oathbreaker from the start. Waking up with holes in her brain and a hole in her soul where her oath used to be, replaced by whispers of death. What even was her oath, and if she can restore it, should she? Basically a replay of my first run but with added DU angst, and a connection to Orin and Gortash that accidentally mirror her relation to Zenos and Emet-Selch in ffxiv. Neat.
Shadowheart Origin (Astarion Romance)
This one is wild, considering I don't really like Astarion (he does nothing for me, though his story and Neil Newbon's performance are both excellent). However I saw a certain Shadowstarion fanart and thought, what if they just made each other worse until we have Ascended Astarion reeking havoc for eternity alongside Dark Justiciar Vampire Shadowheart. That's all I got.
So if you read all the way to this end, thank you! I hope you enjoyed my ramblings. If you want, drop your thoughts in comments or ask, I'd love to hear them!

Eddie Munson/Stranger Things Headcanons Part 4
Tumblr media
I went and hung out at a friend's pool this weekend and it rained so it was honestly just shooting the shit with a bunch of randos that I went to school and worked with. So OF COURSE I thought of our favorite guy and all of his misadventures. I am becoming THAT disconnected from reality.
Check out Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 before reading because I like to double back on my own thoughts and reference them...might not happen as much in this one but eh knowing myself I probably will. I should honestly just make a masterlist at this point but maybe if there's one more of these...which I know there will be. (I already have the ideas.)
Minors, please do not interact...please...
Eddie is an amazing storyteller. And before we go "well he's the DM for Hellfire, so he has to be Jo; we all already know that." No. I don't just mean the fantasy theatrical stuff ok? He can make any story exciting, he knows how to hook his audience.
Let's just start on an academic front. English/Literature/Launguage Arts whatever the subject is called? That's the class he does the best in. Just across the board. (I know I said he got an A in Home Ec. That was 1 semester/1 year, doesn't count.) Actually, I lie. Because I don't think it's actually a consistent A through this high school experience, but he does retain the most information. (Honestly, if the subject interests him in the slightest, he will retain the information. He has a memory like a steel trap. It's getting him interested in the subject that's the issue.) He would rather craft his own stories than write persuasive essays and all that junk. But BUT any way that he can twist an assignment back to storytelling or creative writing? A topic that actually interests him? He does. And more often than not, the teacher is impressed by the work he actually puts into it that he gets a decent grade anyway.
Eddie takes a Creative Writing elective his first senior year when he takes over as the DM for Hellfire Club (oh shoot...did I ever write that minor headcanon that he didn't found it? Well here it is now...it was a club someone formed in 76/77? Shortly after D&D was first published. Before he got to high school. But it was never as big as it was until Eddie took over and actively went recruiting his sheepies. Done.) He wants to hone in that skill and do more with home-brewed campaigns. He loves the source materials, but as I've said before fantasy worlds have always been his escape, and he doesn't want to just limit himself to someone else's ideas. (Am I projecting again? Well shit) He gets an A. Honestly Eddie either having an A in his classes during his first senior year or an F. Which combined with…not the greatest track record for grades in the years prior really shoots him in the foot. Needless to say when he repeats and has to choose his classes he is a little disappointed he can’t take creative writing a second time.
Eddie is and always has been this larger than life character to all of his friends. And part of that has to do with all of these misadventures he gets into and then regales them with fantastical stories after the fact. Honestly, it doesn’t help how other people view him either...many people say that his classmates aren't phased by his outburst in the cafeteria in S4E1 because they are used to him jumping on the tables and making a scene. Absolute facts. It's not always a big declaration, it can be as simple as telling his friends about the wild Thursday night he had. If you live in the Midwest, in a dinky town with not much entertainment--even less for kids--you kind of have to find your fun where you can. Eddie gets up to some trouble as a kid, but as soon as he gets his van, that's when you start getting the crazy stories.
The time he picked up a hitchhiker whose car broke down on the side of the road and ended up fighting their boyfriend and he is not a fighter. Period. So he had to talk his way out of it. Turns out that's the bartender at the Hideout and that's how they got their first gig.
The time he and his friends went to Rick's to hang out and they ended up bartering weed and beer for an afternoon on a neighbor's pontoon boat that Eddie said he knew how to drive but actually didn't. Did someone end up going overboard? Yes. Was it Eddie? Also yes. Did he somehow catch a huge fish? Absolutely.
Just so many stories like that and all of his buddies--including the ones who are there to witness it--don't really believe the things that happen to him. And he just smoothly can navigate his way through any situation with some slick words and an easy smile. Max Charisma. Honestly, Eddie is a big nerd and acts that way around other kids...but he can navigate through conversations with adults like no other. Now I said before, Hopper has a sweet spot for Eddie, poor kid just can't stay out of trouble and Hop does not want to deal with the paperwork. Don't tell me the ONE TIME, the FIRST TIME, Eddie got brought back to the station for them to call Wayne he didn't sweet talk his way through actually getting into trouble. Shooting the shit with Hopper, flirting with Florence, making jokes at Callahan's expense but Hopper and the other officers are just going with it. He's just a big mouth 16 year old kid; he's harmless. "Ok kid you're good to go. Stay out of trouble."
And then he never does.
Kind of on that note, let's talk about another resident of Hawkins that has a HUGE sweet spot for Eddie--Joyce Byers. And first off, Eddie has always had this wide-eyed crush on Joyce. (Who doesn't have a crush on Winona Ryder ok?) I don't see his mom being good friends with Joyce or anything, but they're neighbors/acquaintances and they're nice to one another and all of that. Joyce was the friendly, pretty lady at Melvald's. Whenever his mom would let him pick out a piece of candy and he would go at the decision like it was the most difficult decision in the world, Joyce would always sweetly encourage him. And she always remembered what his favorites were. She would talk shop with him as though he was just another adult and not a 7-year old. Then once he's older, his own father is gone, and Rick’s in the picture…well Rick ALWAYS was a flirt with his mom. Pre-teen Eddie thinking he's flirting with Joyce but obviously he’s just a kid, and she's just awwwing at the whole thing and maybe ruffling his hair something like that. Joyce doing wellness checks on Wayne/Eddie/Rick in the weeks after Eddie's mom dies; yes she has a lot on her plate but she can't NOT do it. Brings over a casserole or a lasagna and gives Eddie the biggest hug. And as the years go by and people start whispering about Eddie the freak, she knows he's just this misunderstood kid, and she definitely sees a similarity between Eddie and her boys. She's always extra nice to him because she would hope that's how people treat Jonathan and Will. When Jonathan starts high school, she tells him that he can probably go and sit with Eddie at lunch if he doesn't have anyone to sit with. He doesn't.
Ok but Eddie being, like, first in line for search parties when Will disappears. Like not only because of Joyce--I mean, a little bit, she's always been nice to him--but again that sense of community. Even if it's a night where Corroded Coffin has a gig or practice, he's picking up the boys in the van and driving to the high school for the rally and if any of them don't want to stay for the search, he's giving them shit for it. ("Not sticking around to help find the kid? Not very metal of you man.") He's taking down posters for the Battle of the Bands (even though he's, like, super pumped for it) so the posters for Will are more noticeable. When word gets out that they "found" Will's body in the quarry, he's beside himself. Works on some sad songs because he doesn't exactly know what else to do. He knows how upset he was when his mom died, but damn Will's just a kid, he couldn't imagine the pain Joyce and Jonathan are feeling. He and Wayne go to Will's funeral, just like the rest of the town does, and he doesn't want to overstep but tell me he isn't tempted to give Joyce the biggest hug, just like she did when his mom died.
Once Will is found and all of that resolves? If Eddie ever saw kids picking on Will, he would absolutely stand up for the kid. I want to say the first few months of the 1984/85 school year, Eddie is a little reserved, keeps to himself and the Hellfire Club--he's just kind of suffered a big loss as his friends he's known for years have left him behind and given up on what he thought were their shared dreams--but he absolutely is going to look out for the outcast kids. Maybe Eddie never outwardly approaches young Will if he's being picked on, being called Zombie Boy and all of that, but he sure as hell is going to find those kids and scare the living shit out of them. Especially if it's some punk high school kid thinking they're gonna get away with picking on a middle schooler. The middle school is apparently across the street from the high school, which is convenient (according to some map of Hawkins someone created on reddit) but Eddie waiting for the Hellfire kids to all catch up to him after school and watching Will wait outside of the Middle School for Joyce or Jonathan to pick him up. He notices the couple of asshole freshman who are all too eager to cross the street and call him names and all of that. Not under Eddie's watch. Again, Eddie is not a fighter but he knows his own reputation, so it really is just scare tactics. And he knows a bully is gonna bully you if they really want, so it’s not like there’s anything he can do to fend them off permanently. But damn if he can’t get them to leave the kid alone after school. Does Eddie start skipping his last class more often so he can stand out by the van and smoke and look like a general menace? Absolutely. Admittedly, that’s one of the classes he’s failing so that doesn’t help with the whole…repeating senior year again situation. But god damn if that isn’t worth it to see those punks leave that poor kid alone.
This mutual respect between Jonathan and Eddie. Like I said, when Jonathan started high school, Joyce told him to go find Eddie Munson if he was having trouble with his friends or finding a place to sit at lunch or something like that. Again, Eddie is such an intimidating character and unless you know there's that softer side to him, you're really not going to see it outright. But as the years go on...well, they're both in different outcast circles. Eddie's got his crew of Hellfire, heavy metal nerds, and Jonathan and his handful of friends are a part of the pretentious artsy crowd. But once Jonathan finds out that Eddie stands up for Will...well he doesn't know the exact extent that Will is being picked on outright...but he hears that Eddie put those kids in their place and told them to scram. It's a silent head nod across the cafeteria.
Anyway, it's getting late for me. (Oh god, I just saw it's not even 9pm. I am OLD.) I, of course, have more thoughts. This wasn't even what I wanted to scratch at last time I had more thoughts, it was specifically brought on by being a loser from the Midwest with a bunch of bored friends.

I'll be talking about #ATWD kintouri trail now.
It goes like this: you watch the movie And Then We Danced (2019, dir. Levan Akin) for the first time. Maybe even stay for the whole End Credits because of that enchanting beautiful music... And you notice the very last song in the credits is a little different. Sounds really old, unclear and... well generally not so very great. Probably been put in end credits to correspond with those old films of georgian dances the movie begins with, you think. Yeah, fair enough, you think.
Only a tiny detail more: its name is Kinto's Song.
Tumblr media
Rings a bell? Like: hey, wait a minute, wasn't the dance that boys were dancing also named kintouri?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, yeah, you've found the connection, you can be proud of yourself! Now if you decided not to be obsessed with ATWD you feel satisfied enough already and just go on and live your life...
Otherwise - you start to dig.
.
First of all: what does kinto (კინტო) mean?
In old Tblisi (end of XIX century, beginning of XX) Kintos were small merchants, often street fruit sellers, usually carrying their goods on their heads around the city.
Their lifestyle was not like the rest of the georgian society and their traditional clothes were different from other Georgians as well: instead of chokha Kinto was wearing black outfit with baggy pants and a silk shawl hanging from his silver belt - the shawl was to wrap the fruits and vegetables in them to weight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sources (read if you're interested): [X], [X], [X]
So, young males and rather poor ones. And without families in the very family-centred georgian society... I don't think it's very surprising to learn that homosexuality wasn't rare among their community (although that's the part you won't find on georgian wikipedia). Even less knowing that when you're on the bottom of the social ladder it's finally where nobody around cares about your life anymore🤷 (I only wonder if it was rather the primal reason for anyone to leave his home and choose a life like this or if it was finding out ones orientation due to mainly interacting with other men. I suppose it might have worked both ways?)
Then we come to the "traditional georgian dance" issue: Kinto's traditional dance is kintouri (or Kintauri, კინტოური) also known as shalakho (შალახო) and it is said to be informal and light natured. I've also read that some of its parts (like hands movements) are of Persian origin. A female Persian dance specifically. [X]
Of course when Kintouri became a part of official Traditional Georgian Ballet - it went through some changes. As was mentioned in And Then We Danced in the last 50 years it became more "masculine", just like adjaruli and other Georgian Dances. So before that I believe it could have been more like this?
youtube
It's Fridon Sulaberidze (ფრიდონ სულაბერიძე) who was born in 1941 but I have no idea what year the film is showing😕 probably 1970's?
Now finally: what is the Kinto's Song? It is the song recorded on X-ray plate almost hundred years ago and found in 2018. Illegal song: song of a man loving two other men. I guess Levan Akin must have found the song quite recently before making And Then We Danced (2019).
Knowing all that historical and cultural context - I can not imagine any better fitting song for the end of the movie about struggling between your tradition and culture and your love to another guy...
That movie is a masterpiece in every little detail!🥰❤❤
.
Of course it's just a beginning - what I wanted to indicate just now is that the song in End Credits is a hint to kintouri being a trail to follow throughout the movie. Furthermore I want to show you how it may lead to see few movie scenes in a little bit different light (like here), so expect me talking more about #ATWD kintouri trail from time to time

CHAPTER 27,,, the DRAMA the INTRIGUE
i knew something was up the first permit mishap? sure. things happen. the satoru explanation makes sense. the next? suspicious. everytime third and on? something is ABSOLUTELY going on- and i was RIGHT
hinata was obviously morally correct to steal the papers but now i'm WORRIED whats gonna happen to her when they inevitably figure out they were taken? i'm just imagining her showing back up to the estate showing ren "look i got the evidence" "did you STEAL THOSE?"
also, timeline wise- the grade 1 exam she had to rush to was naoya's exam? or was that a completely different one?
and looking forward to the next ones (i've been about one moment of deep thoughts away from making a playlist about it) ,,, 28 is gonna kill me isn't it. the aftermath of naoya's sudden clarity "maybe i'm the problem",,, y/n and naoaki,, theres so much coming i can feel it.
Hello!!
I'm so glad you liked chapter 27's wild goose chase 🤣even though Hinata finally obtained what she was looking for (...but at what cost?)
hahahah and you're right with Ren 😂 he's going to be like "uuuuhhh you need to return those asap!!!" and she will, but probably not personally. I think she'd rather send someone else to do so because she doesn't want to risk wasting more time going to Kyoto and doing that whole charade again—I'd dare say she'd ask Utahime to return those papers back to Naoya's file, and this is where Hinata will find out that she was essentially toyed with 💀
(gojo: awww what happened? turns out that the girl you liked was just leading you on? hinata: stfu nobody is saying shit about your delinquent boyfriend gojo: 😲)
From there, there's no denying that Hinata basically put herself in... hotter water than she already was 😂—however, it's not so much from stealing the papers but rather because she already saw the information the Zen'in did not want her to.
Still, I don't think they're going to do anything against her without looking suspicious AF; I think that the Zen'in are more than capable of doing something against her (and want to) but if they do so (because she is such a prolific figure in the community) they might run the risk of people becoming aware of it... eventually with sorcerers asking "Well, why was Hinata looking for Naoya's record in the first place?" and "Why are the Zen'in clan keeping a close eye on her?" and that would lead the clan getting attention they do not need, so yeah—they're just as cautious as Hinata when it comes to delivering information outside of their close circle 😂 so instead, they'll just continue asking HQ to dump her with work, because she is oh so talented and needs to help the community more.
Timeline-wise: it was Naoya's exam 🤭wanted to show a bit of what Hinata was doing before and just how affected she is by this whole situation, to the point where she almost fumbled one of her biggest responsibilities at that point. Makes their interaction gain a bit more of leverage too, I think. After that, she was very punctual, it's almost as if it never even happened...
For chapter 28 I'm still debating how miserable I'm going to make Naoya hahahahahah after all, I did promise I was going to make him suffer from that point forward... but if I do things like that I'm going to start feeling bad for him 🙄 undeserving...
However, there are a few scenes I can't wait for you to read them!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaafiafhjakhgjkaghkagkjagsja I get all excited just by thinking on them hahahahahahahahah but until then, guess we'll just have to wait :>
Thank you so much for reading this last chapter ❤❤❤ and as I said, I can't wait for you to read what's coming! (I hope I don't set expectations too high 😭 and then disappoint) as well as the valentine special I'm slowly working on hahah since it's kind of a continuation of the halloween one you sent me 🥺
I hope you have a wonderful week, take care ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

What is your favorite compliment you've ever received? How about the most memorable?
I like getting compliments on my voice because I know I have a nice voice so singing is, like, the one skill I have where I always know the compliments are genuine, rather than maybe someone just saying it to be nice, and singing is also a skill that I choose to do, so it doesn't feel weird like when I'm told I'm pretty, like... thanks, I grew this face myself!
I don't publicly sing much, just because I didn't put a ton of focus into arts in high school (rather, I was focused on topics like nutrition or abnormal psychology or childhood development) so I only took vocals once and didn't do extra-curricular music, and nowadays I don't have an outlet to sing in public so I mostly just sing at home or in the car. However, the times where I have sung at school, posted a recording online, etc. the feedback was really good! The only critiques I got here or there were small things like "You sound sticky, like a smoker" (my lung disease was flared that day so YEAH of course I sounded sticky)
The most memorable compliment I've gotten on my voice is one time on Twitch, there was a guy in my chat who had been there many times before and he's always really friendly and kind. I can specifically remember that I was playing Uncharted 4, in a flashback scene where a young Nate sneaks out of the orphanage to hang out with Sam. My viewer said that the guitar he ordered finally came in and he asked if I played any instruments, so I said I've learned a bit of piano, guitar, and ukulele here and there, but I'm really just a singer. His response was "I'm not surprised that you're a singer, you have a really nice voice :)" and I'm STILL all 💗💕💖 about it because I already loved getting compliments about my voice, but I'd never realised that I sound really good just talking without even trying to sound nice!
Now that the guy pointed it out, I do like hearing myself talk, as much as it makes me sound conceited lol. The other day, I was chatting with my friend while we helped each other trim some wigs, so being focused on brushing and snipping and making sure everything was even made my voice go soft and gentle, and hearing it echo back to me in the bathroom was *chef's kiss*
And I mean, it's probably also meaningful to me (deep somewhere inside my brain that doesn't really register on the surface) to get compliments on my voice since singing is kind of an important part of my journey with my illnesses, between it being something my body can do well without being appearance-based with my eating disorder, it being something I can do without my hands or limbs or even without sitting up so therefore my joint pain can't take it away from me, and it being a way to outlet the sadness and anger I might feel as a result of my health (see also: me laying on my apartment floor when EDS first started kicking my ass at 19 years old, singing along as Lazy Bones by Green Day played on repeat)... like, yeah, it BETTER sound nice! It's the thing that got me through some tough times! It helped me start the path to body neutrality! I've spent a lot of time on it while stuck at home for 4 years! THANK YOU!!
Tumblr media
But yeah circling back to the point of this... I love being told that I sound good because I know the person truly means it when they say that

THE LONG BALLAD PROMOTION: WE NEED THE WHOLE STORY, NOT JUST ONE SIDE
So I found myself posting on a what I thought was a general drama FB page today because of this ZLS fan page making the record straight post about TLB era apparently all fans are required to share. Before realizing it was a share from a ZLS fan page I had written this and I truly believe it to be true. We need to look more to the corporation and machinery behind the artist. That machinery is feeding the fans/anti-fans and profiting off their conflict.
As someone in the Leidi nest, I've seen a few things that raised my eyebrows and I might have smirked at but overall disagreed with. I do not love Dil because of her looks alone - I happen to believe she is fine, growing actress as seen by the matched acting with her senior in experience partner WL. Overall, however, the majority of the cpf engaged in self-promotion within their circle of their CP and I appreciate that about them. I am sure the fans of your favorite don't always make you happy either or represent your ethical boundaries every time. I was very much an outsider during this period when The Long Ballad was coming out. I had to go to Chinese sites to find out what the drama was about because all I could see was cute little LY and imposing HD - great characters for sure; however, what about Dilraba and the other guy flinging arrows at people who apparently was a controversial choice for the male lead? See how biased I had already been by the little media provided about TLB.
I posted this and I stand by it:
Why do we only talk about one person in that fantastic ensemble- that is marketing my friends, not just good acting or styling. I'm not a hater. I loved LLtG, but TLB had a beautiful message of peace that stayed with me. I am also a huge supporter of the main lead of TLB. It also stayed with the main leads. WL and Dil said good bye to ChangGe and Ashile Sun at least three times on Weibo. Imagine putting so much time, dedication, and passion into a project that your company barely markets and is ready inexplicably to completely move on to the next show before its even over. Stop the hate or single glorification of Lusi or Dilraba. That is what they want to create fan wars and press for the next project. They don't care about the human. Just take a look at what they did to Crossfire promotions - taking someone face off of posters and canceling live shows for a certain actor we all love. Our job as international supporters should be to raise attention to their work for the work itself, not play into the fan wars.
Do I believe that ZLS was the only stand-out actress in the whole drama? Well no. Do I think that one scene with WL and ZLS was packed with chemistry? Not at all, but if you did that's cool. I though Changge had better chemistry with her honestly because Ashile only has one person in his mind and that was Changge. The entire cast was brilliant and did what they could with what they were given, which was a pretty epic script that was shot in the middle of the pandemic. The fact that one actress rose at the expense of the other. I hate to say it, but that is marketing my friends, not just good acting or styling. I'm not a hater. I loved LLtG, but TLB is still my favorite because it had a beautiful message of peace that stayed with me.
Let's not give them even more of a fan war. I've been diving deeply into CPfandom/"pure" fan pop culture for a month now, so I'm still new to all of this. I was an international supporter of Dilraba at the time who engaged heavily in social media without really understanding Chinese fan culture. At the time I did not have the knowledge of Mandarin to access Chinese Social Media and I can still only observe as I am located in a country that won't allow WeChat or QQ Chat. I am okay with people being a little petty now and then - we all have our favorites and opinions about acting - but spreading false information is something I cannot support. There is also that grey area of what something looks like from their perspective and for that you have to dig and keep digging in every camp to see get an idea of what actually happened. For the most part, I see a tale of big money and corporate greed not caring about flesh and blood artists and feeding fan wars. It has only gotten worse recently. All of our favorites are vulnerable in the face of big capital, and some are much more at risk than others.
One thing I have seen: Although the part was not written for ZLS, I have heard that scenes were taken out to give more air time to the imperial CP because of the popularity of the couple - which, again was aided by marketing the couple for the most part and I was there to witness this as truth since I only saw the trailer or bits on ZLS/LYN -, including the wedding between the main leads. UPDATE: It was not a wedding. There was a scene of the two returning to Chang'an that was deleted apparently. I have no idea if this is true, but it's the same feeling we who love LLtG get about not getting our wedding. We have now lost TWO weddings whattt! I don't have a DVD player, but I demand a full DVD with Director's Cut and al deleted scenes!
If you were there during the time of the TLB promotions, please feel free to comment from your perspective. I too liked Love Like the Galaxy, but the taoist message of TLB left a lasting impact. At the end of LLtG all I was left with was a feeling that all was for nothing - everything could have been resolved without breaking any laws and he could have kept his goal and his girl without giving in. Someone on Twitter made a comment of how cathartic it was. Perhaps that is what it felt like at the time, but the long-term effects of his actions made him a hollow shell of his once pretty hollow shell. I don't see this as a healthy catharsis. Buyi sunk himself deeper into the mire and proved himself a hypocrite with his supposed lover. I have to question that love in the end. Ashile's Sun also had issues - his thought of sacrificing himself for love in a different sense was somehow more noble feeling, but no less selfish as it would have resulted in Li Changge yet again losing someone she deeply loves and being alone on the path to protect the Great Tang Dynasty. I never doubted the love between Li Changge and Ashile Sun; however, between SS and L/H B I do not know how much of that was misplaced affection or obsession especially if you look at the events of the book. The Long Ballad will remain my favorite between the two. The evenly matched partners working together for love of country and the people actually is far more touching to me personally. I will write a full comparison at some point if i can ever get myself to watch LLtG again.

What did you think about the 10 minute Free! Final Stroke movie clip that Kyoani posted on their YT channel?!
Haha but I already knew everything almost scene by scene, bc I was taking info from different places so it won't be bias. I feel like I've basically seen it already xD Plus its not like much happened in these 10 minutes. But I already cried at every tiny easter egg, especially the beggining sequence of shots of scenery, did u get from where all of them?
This, don't even touch me T_T
Tumblr media
Tiny rolls:
Tumblr media
As I've said I adore that they started it with everyone recording a message to Haru and how he affected their lives, also bc it reminds me of that drama when they recorded wishes for him (wink wink) and morning messages also lol
I love the "opening" with all the "steps of life", so simple yet so beautiful. Haru isn't in the shots tho hoho
Traditional beginning of Makoto getting Haru out of the pool and no chan is you know, we can't skip that, its how every season starts, even I'd feel upset without it. Although I'm just a bit afraid a certain part of the fandom would go crazy bc of the fact that they didn't bother to redraw it from 3x01 and it might just get into their usual you didnt even care to draw that one scene for my ship again. I mean, its already started.
Tumblr media
I personally do not care tho, I needed it just for a tradition. Like with arson, covid and etc I don't think its important really.
I've been dying to see Rin and Ikuya's interactions like these since RTTW, so I just can't stop laughing. The most precious part of those 10 mins xD. Pls release the whole pics already, but the fact that we saw even a corner and the reactions is already priceless lmao
Tumblr media
I won't even comment on these cockerels:
Tumblr media
As for Kinjou, I just do not care. I wanted him to be something different and interesting and unexpected for free, not this lol. I just do not know whats the point in the last movie to add his and Hiyori flashbacks tbh, like I honestly don't think anyone cares, besides ppl who want maybe like 100 ships on free. Like we don't even know the dude, why should I care that they played in a sandbox once I do not know.
Sousuke precious calm potato as usual <3
Rin's festival priorities, I'm... lmaooo as usual, nothing changes, I'll make a separate post about it XD.
I just loved the meaning of the beginning nature shots a lot.
like flying sakura petals followed by a plane line
Tumblr media
this I won't even say anything beside the fact that the mating season of these particular assholes is april, so beware LMFAO
Tumblr media
bee is well known from the novel's "Sakura" chapter, u must know that moment, when Haru called Rin by his name the first time. There is red lighting on the shot:
Tumblr media
this one is before the Australian trip, Makoto's call, when Rin admits that he loves Haru, again red light on blue:
Tumblr media
I'm just... I want to cry because its all too well thought out T_T
The only thing I hated is that Haru was upset af. I've been warned that he's only happy during the trip with Rin and Ikuya, but everyone was having fun on the festival and he's like.. well, s3 style. I know why and Kinjou also didn't help, but like still sad :(
Tumblr media
hahaha hey, do not be greedy, I mean this movie as it is, was jokingly called Free!Harurin stroke, let others have a bit fun too xD
Rin and Ikuya scenes are just.. everything I've wanted + bts photos is just amazing content, can't wait for their trip lol

TVA exist now
They called themselves TVA agent and said
"we've come here to take loki he's messed up the timeline"
"what? It's not funny ? What are you all. You're not going anywhere loki." Said Suzzi.
"oh no he is... He is coming with us. Miss don't make a scene and back off."
"how dare you talk to her like that" said loki i haven't done anything "
Sherlock and John were stunned but Sherlock ran there to stand in front of suzzi in order to protect her.
He said "wait if you want to take loki then..." He wanted to say then take him away but suzzi's eyes said she started to develop feelings for him so which came out as "then tell us why."
"Sherlock" suzzi said in amazement "you took his side?"
"thanks mr Holmes" said loki.
"i didn't do it for you he whispered to him"
"it's we are taking him ... Reset the timeline" as they said the put the timeline setter on the table which Sherlock mistaking as a bomb took suzzi inside the cafe followed by John. Before it started to work loki looked at suzzi and said, "Suzzi , I don't know what's this all about AND I LIKE YOU ALOT." they put a mask on his mouth and took him away. The time setter seemed to make everyone out side the cafe forgot the about them but didn't change anything to people inside where Suzzi Sherlock and John were. They came out side and John said ,
"it wasn't a bomb."
"it was weird" said Sherlock
"they took loki" said Suzzi.
Sherlock looked at her and said, "Suzzi i know you're not willing to hear any of these but..."
"go on" said she softly
Sherlock surprised but said, "it's um... Look Suzzi i know you like loki but the thing is ... I'm a stupid sociopath and i think I'm falling for you. I know it's a very weird timing but if you ever felt anything for me..."
"you know loki said something about love that reminded me of you and something that also meant I've liked you both inspite of how crazy you too are. But i might need some time to let my feelings for loki fade."
"I'll wait suzzi you know i don't believe in love so i won't fall for anyone but you make me believe in it. I'll wait for you no matter how long it is."
Which made Suzzi feel something for him, "well this makes me kinda give you a chance now you know"
"what If loki comes and demands you Suzzi?"
"I'll tell him how he's the one showed me who's the one i might love sherlock... And it's you"
Overjoyed Sherlock hugged her and said, "ah Suzzi thanks i just.... O gosh I... I love you"
This stunned suzzi Sherlock John all together.
"you really do?" Suzzi said.
"I don't know what i said i wasn't thinking i...."
Suzzi kissed him. To which he responded with another passionate. John couldn't help but clicked pictures
"John would you stop?"
"why Sherlock let him take some pictures I'll post them"
"no.. people will know" said Sherlock and in an instance he also said "which i won't mind i guess, but Mycroft will know i don't like it"
"Sherlock" John said, "he's already aware of it" pointing at a car in which a lady sat recording everything, they knew she works for Mycroft.
"well then I don't have any problem"
Then they continued to kiss.

Season 3 Prediction Post | Amie Samuelsson Condé
Here is my prediction post for Amie in season 3! You can read Felicia's post here and Klara's post here. Elias and Ludde's respective posts will be out later today.
Here is what SVT Play has written about Amie in the season description:
Amie has achieved her dream, but at the same time realizes that life as a pop star is both lonelier and more challenging than she thought.
Amie finished season 2 having signed with a record label in Stockholm and finally achieving her dream of becoming a professional singer, and also having her heart broken after confessing her feelings for Ludde and getting rejected. She ends the season incredibly isolated as a result of this and has yet to rekindle her former friendship with Felicia.
In the first trailer for season 3 we get a few shots of Amie singing at a concert. Interestingly, Elias also seems to be a part of this scene and is watching her performance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Apart from this, there's also a shot of Amie and her mom Petra at Ola's funeral (aka Klara's dad). As I've speculated before, the funeral will probably take place in the first episode of the season.
In the final trailer Amie and Petra are seen walking together and immediately after we get a shot of Ludde, Felicia, and Leila (?) staring at them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think Amie's relationship with Ludde has gotten pretty strained after she confessed being in love with him and got rejected. They probably stopped talking completely after Ludde got back together with Felicia, so it's fair to assume that this is the first time they've seen each other in a while and that this situation is kind of awkward.
They could potentially be throwing us off with the editing here and Ludde and Felicia are actually looking at something completely else, but I doubt it. In the next shot where we see Amie and Petra again, it looks like Petra makes eye contact with them too. If I'm not mistaken this might be the first scene that Petra and Leila (if that is indeed Leila) have shared together. Maybe Ludde and Felicia are looking at Amie and Leila is looking at her ex-husband's high school girlfriend.
Initially I had this feeling that the new season would start with a pretty big time jump (at least a few months), but it would seem pretty strange for Ola's funeral to be held that late. They'll probably do a time jump after the funeral has happened, though (Eagles has already done plenty of them, the question is just how long the time jumps will be).
I'm not sure if Amie play have a significant role at the funeral scene in particular. For now it seems like Klara will be the main focus, not merely because the funeral is for her dad but also because she will likely break up with Elias and maybe start some drama to kick off the season. I discussed this in more detail in Klara's prediction post.
I'm guessing that these following shots all take place in the same episode, judging from the Amie's jacket and her hair:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Elias and Amie share a brief conversation in the latest trailer for season 3. The director of Eagles, Carl-Petter Montell did mention a few months ago that season 3 would make references to season 1 episode 7, which is the road trip episode where Elias and Amie went off together to Karlskrona. Here is their interaction in the season 3 trailer:
(Amie) Don’t you do anything other than skipping school? (Elias) It’s a fair reason, isn’t it?
I'll discuss my theories on this more in Elias' prediction post (as well as that black-eye, what did poor Elias get himself into? 😭).
What this means for Amie is that she might grow closer to Elias after being so lonely as a pop star. Maybe she's missing school a lot too after getting signed, or her classmates find her newfound success really intimidating. Amie barely had friends left after the video of her and Ludde leaked, so she might be more alone than ever now. I think Elias (who might even be in a similar position) and her will rekindle whatever they had going on in season 1.
They have such great chemistry and I think they would fit well together. They both have big dreams (a singing and hockey career) and would probably understand each other much better than, say, Amie/Ludde or Elias/Klara would. Maybe Elias goes to Amie's concert because he's so supportive of her career or Amie invites him there (which is likely).
I theorized in Klara's prediction post that this following line in the trailer is said by her to Amie.
You should stay away from the whole Kroon family. We’re just extras in their lives.
I might be wrong about this but my reasoning is that after Klara and Elias' nasty break up, Klara notices that Amie seems to grow closer to Elias and tries to warn her. Klara might even feel like she's doing the right thing by telling Amie about it, and it will serve as an obstacle for Elias and Amie.
In the trailer, we also hear someone say this to Amie:
Graduation is ridiculously overrated. You won’t miss anything, I promise.
This must be coming from someone older who has already gone through graduation. My suspicion is that the voice belongs to the new character Sam, an older musician that I think will act as a sort of brother figure for Amie now that she's entered the music scene and is feeling really lonely.
Tumblr media
My theory is that Amie might be so busy with her new album that she's risking missing out on graduation completely. Maybe she's even forced to choose between the two and has this talk with Sam.
Tumblr media
Finally, I have a theory on the picture above which seems to take place during a party. We see a shot of Felicia right before this and from my Felicia prediction post I theorized that Felicia would fall back into using drugs.
Maybe Amie notices something is off with her during this party scene and tries to help her. I'd love to see that happen as I really miss their friendship and Felicia's drug problems really need to be properly addressed.
To finish, my wishes for the new season is that Elias and Amie develop their relationship further and that we get more than just 2 scenes per season between them.

All Spencer could see was white, all he could hear was ringing. He’s not sure how long he was on the ground for, but as soon as he can, he scrambles to his feet. Spencer turns his head every way he can, looking for you.
~
Yesterday
You and Cameron speed away from the warehouse. You sigh, wind running through your hair as you let it down. Your face might still slightly burn from the slap Hunter had given you, but the cool air of the car makes it feel better.
You had decided to go to Cameron’s apartment before tonight, he lived with a girl, Skylar, that you were good friends with. Well, she had been your partner on a number of jobs, so you had grown close that way.
You pull up to Cameron’s apartment, he throws his keys to you, and you walk up the stairs to unlock it. The apartment was simple, nothing too fancy. Personally, you didn’t have an apartment. You didn’t want anything that could possibly be traced back to you. Sure, Cameron didn’t use his own name, but there were still other ways it could be traced.
You say hey to Skylar, her red hair was down, and she was sporting a septum and eyebrow piercing. You flop down on the couch, graciously taking a drag of the cigarette she was offering. “What have you been up to?” You ask, misting referring to ‘business’ related stuff.
“Hunters happy with me, I've gotten a lot of Cloud Nine onto the streets. And, I found a way to increase profit with it.” Skylar says, smirking. There was a rumor Skylar was sleeping with him, but you knew that wasn’t true. Hunter was too stuck up and proper for that.
“Nice one Sky.” You say, holding your hand up for a high five, and she complies. You see Cameron go over to the fridge, searching for some form of alcohol and/or food, when his phone rings. He sighs, answering with a hello. He turns to you after a moment, mumbling a “yes.” then after a minute, he hangs up.
“We have another job.” Cameron says, closing his phone. You sigh, “What is it?” You ask, a look of disappointment on your face.
“You’ve gotta call your FBI buddy tonight.” Cameron states, and you sigh, running a hand through your hair. You obviously didn’t think that you would have to speak to Spencer ever again. You thought that in a few years he would be a ghost of a memory, but you could still revel in the touches you shared.
“Why? What do I have to say?” You ask, furrowing your eyebrows. Cameron looks at you, slight regret in his eyes.
“We are going to burn down NorthGate Plaza.” He says, and shock fills your body. Noctiphany had never done something so major before. This was a huge step up for the publicity of the organization.
“Why do I have to call that agent?” You ask Cameron. “To get his team there. Boss wants a lot of cops and publicity to show how easily we can get away.” Cameron explains.
You look to Skylar, and then a smile forms on your face, “As long as we can get black out drunk after.” You say, a small laugh coming from you. Cameron rolls his eyes, and agrees, “You’ve gotta call him around 9.” He says, and you nod. You need something to do for the remaining four hours, so you spend that time watching shitty soap operas, and eating horrible, but somehow delicious food.
Your heart is racing at 9. You knew that you would hang up the disposable cell phone before Spencer could even respond, but it still filled your body with anxiety. You had what you were supposed to say written out on the table, a time and place. You dialed the number, and held the phone to your ear. You don’t even wait for a greeting before delivering the message.
“9:00 pm, tomorrow, at NorthGate plaza. Be ready, Princess.” You say, and hang up the phone as quickly as you can. The nickname had just slid off your tongue, a cursed reminder to Spencer about the times you had shared, a reminder of the betrayal he felt.
A chill ran down your spine, something that often happened before you began to cry. You set the phone down, and clear your throat, “C'mon guys, let’s go celebrate.” You say, clasping your hands together. Cameron and Skylar smile, and you all head out the door.
You have to enter the bar from a door in the back, and you must know the password. Cameron knocks on the door the specific way, and tells the bouncer the password. The door opens, and you take in the scene. The bar is dimly lit with warm toned lights. You can smell the stale beer and liquor in the air, it wasn’t necessarily the best smell, but you had associated it with good memories.
You tell Ben, the bartender that was usually working, your order of Jack and Coke. He nods, and begins to make it for you. You take it graciously, and turn back to your friends. Skylar has a slick smirk on her face, and you question it.
“I know that look Sky, what do you have?” You say, copying her smirk. She pulls a bag out of her pocket, and you recognize it as Cloud Nine.
You roll your eyes, “Just give me a half.” You say. While you did want all of your problems to float away, you didn’t want tomorrow to be all hell. In fact, you had never actually tried Cloud Nine for that reason. For the work you did, you needed your mind to be sharp. Given the events that had occurred recently though, you decided to give yourself a break.
You down the pill Skylar gives you, impatiently waiting the 15-20 minutes it takes to kick in. You stir your drink, and talk about Cameron’s latest job he was on. It was only whenever you got out of your chair to order another drink, when you realized the effects. You feel as though you are walking on nothing, and you begin to giggle.
The 80s and 90s mix in the bar makes you move and sway your hips. You feel a body behind you, and it’s Cameron. You smile, jokingly moving your hips against his, and he plays along seemingly grinding into you. You hear the people around you laughing, cheering you on as you dance.
What you didn’t know is that Cameron had actually not taken any Cloud Nine, and was completely sober. Also, no one told you about the horrible come down of Cloud Nine.
An hour and a half after you took your half of the pill, you are sitting at a table with your head in your hands, almost in tears. You were ranting about everything wrong in your life, but something specific had seemed to grab Cameron’s attention.
“And that whole thing with the FBI agent, Spencer Reid.” You said, and Cameron’s ears perked up, “I know it was supposed to be a fuck and duck, but I think I’m in love with him.” You confess. You attempt to stop yourself, but the words keep coming, “I can’t stop thinking about him, and how good it felt that one time that I slept in his arms.” You sigh, this was the only time you had really confronted your feelings on the whole situation.
Skylar held your arm sympathetically, “You will get closure tomorrow.” She says, her words slurring slightly. You nod, eyes still watery.
“Come on guys. We need to get back to the apartment.” Cameron says, pulling you and Skylar up by your arms. You follow his lead, stumbling all the way into the backseat of the car. You drift in and out of sleep on the way back to the apartment. Cameron helps you and Skylar to the door, and through the living room. You chug the cup of water he gives you, and collapse on the air mattress in the living room.
~
You wake up the next morning with an awful pounding in your head. You groan, rubbing your eyes as they adjust to the light. You hear a slight laugh from in front of you, and you open your eyes fully.
“I feel like a mom, making bacon and eggs for my kids.” Cameron says, a nervous laugh falling from his lips, He moves the pan back and forth on the burner. You laugh slightly, taking in the smell of bacon. It had been a while since you had one of these breakfasts. You, Cameron and Skylar liked to have a nice breakfast before you went on a job.
You grab the cheap paper plates off of the counter, and impatiently wait for the bacon to be done. You needed something greasy after the terrible hangover you were enduring.
You could see that Cameron was sneaking glances up at you, but you decided to ignore it. You rub your head again, attempting to remember the events of last night. All you can remember is clouded vision, feeling light, and dancing provocatively against your friends.
Before you ask Cameron what happened last night, you hear Skylar walk into the room, exhibiting the same actions as you. You laugh, “Last night was crazy huh?” You say, smirking at Skylar.
“I’ll say.” She says, returning the smile. You turn to Cameron, noting his gritted teeth. “Did you end up driving us home?” You ask him, attempting to meet his eyes, but to no avail.
“Yeah.” Cameron says, finally turning to you, “After you declared your love for that FBI agent to the entire bar, I decided to take you and Sky home.” He says, shaking his head.
“Woah.” You say, laughing slightly. “I was obviously coming down from Cloud Nine. You know how emotional that stuff makes you.” You say, making slight excuses for yourself. You put your hand on Cameron’s shoulder in an attempt to make him feel better.
“Eh, you’re right.” Cameron says, a smirk ghosting his face. You laugh, “Loving a cop? A fed no less? Come on.” You add, and that brings a full on smile to his face.
“Let’s eat.” Cameron says, “We have a lot of prep to do.”
~
Skylar was skilled with computers, but attempting to access files from the FBI and local law enforcement was still difficult. She was attempting to figure out how many agents would be at the plaza that night. She was trying to access phone and email records to see if they had called in SWAT teams.
“Let’s just assume that the whole nine yards is there. What do we do?” You ask, addressing both Cameron and Skylar.
“We need to make a threat.” Cameron says, “I say that we tell them that the plaza is already soaked head to toe in gasoline, and then we threaten them by lighting a match.” Cameron says, a devilish glint in his eyes. “Knowing that not even the FBI can help everyone feel safe will freak everyone out.” He says.
You nod in agreement, “But what if they think that we are bluffing, and they shoot us?” You ask, biting your thumbnail. Cameron throws his hands up, “We are just doing to have to take that chance.”
This back and forth goes on for a while. Cameron insists that Hunter needs this done a certain way, otherwise he could kick him out of the organization. It seemed as though Cameron thought he was in charge, when you knew it was your ass on the line. You had been in the organization far longer, and just because you, Cameron, and Skylar were in the same rank, didn’t mean quite a lot. You (in your opinion) were far more skilled at most everything.
Skylar stays neutral for most of the conversation, until you ask her, “What do you think?” She seems shocked by your words, not many people seemed to include her in conversations. She was more like a jack of all trades, master of none. You however, managed in stealth and secrecy. Cameron managed in planning, and financial gain. Skylar knew how to do almost everything, and you respected her for that.
“I agree with Cameron. We have to have a threat otherwise they won’t take us seriously.” She says, giving you a sympathetic look. Another thing you respected about Skylar was that she wasn’t really meant for this job either. She just took what she was given. She didn’t have to be in this line of work. She could have used her skills in many other places.
You nod, you always trusted Sky more than Cameron to a fault. “Alright, that’s what we’ll do.” You glance at the clock, the time being about 4. You groan, time passing was one of the worst things about this job. Having a smartphone was a big no. The police and FBI tracking that was way too easy. You had to watch TV and occasionally read books for entertainment. You had sometimes opted for different ways to sharpen your skills. Learning simple gymnastics and tumbling was one. Your small frame made it easy to slip through gaps. This aided in your speciality of stealth.
You flop back onto the couch, “Sky, any luck with getting into the database?” You ask, looking over at her, and she shakes her head, “I have to be extremely careful, because if they know i’m in they will trace it back to me.” She says, her voice trailing off as she types faster.
You nod, getting up to get another water bottle. Your nerves were still racing at the thought of seeing Spencer, but you were trying to suppress them. You kept trying to remember that you were dedicated to this organization. That relationships were not supposed to stand in the way of that. Yet your mind keeps drifting back to the way he held you. Could it have been love? The way his hands grazed you hips in the shower, the way his arms wrapped around you and pulled you closer. Was it love?
You coughed at the realization, forgetting that you had to actually drink the water amidst your thoughts. Cameron comes up behind you, patting and rubbing your back to help you regain breath. You furrow your eyebrows, he had never been this physical with you. It might’ve been odd, but you chalked it up to just a weird situation.
You needed to get ready for tonight, so you attempt to find something to wear. All black, but make it chic, you thought. One of the few things you enjoyed about the job was the clothes. Oddly enough, you enjoyed the ‘Criminal Aesthetic’.
You picked a typical all black ensemble. The gun holsters that you had sewn onto the pants were not to be used today. It was about burning down the plaza. While killing officers might bring fear to the public, they would cover it up. Burning down a public building that everyone felt safe in? That was a good plan.
You pulled on the tight long-sleeved black shirt, and the black cargo pants. You applied red lipstick with dark eye makeup. Were you doing this so that Spencer would see you and his eyes would go immediately to you? You weren’t sure.
You let your hair down as you walk back into the living room of the small apartment. Skylar sees you, giving a ‘Damnnn’ and you laugh. While you had told the feds 9, you knew that really meant 8:30. So at 8, you pile into the nondescript car, and you are on your way.
You park the car a good walk away from the plaza, and walk up to the center of it. As soon as you can hear cars in the distance, you expect Cameron to pull out matches. Instead, he pulls out a gun, “I’m sorry to have to do this Y/n.” He says, cocking the gun and pointing it towards you.
You freeze. Long enough for Cameron to put you in front of him, a gun pointed to your head. You see the black SUVs pull up, and fear rakes through your body. This is not how you thought you would be seeing Spencer again.
Spencer walks out of the car, putting his hands up. You attempt to warn him, but to no avail. Spencer, the hero he is, wants to save you. You hear the anger in Cameron’s voice, and you slip away once again, warning Spencer.
“It’s okay Princess.” Spencer says, and it’s hard for you not to smile at the nickname. Spencer begins to challenge Cameron, speaking about all the times you shared together.
Cameron spits out the words, “She wants me.” And you automatically attempt to yell no against his hand. Spencer looks at you, and you can tell automatically what he’s trying to tell you with his eyes. It’s interesting how you could do that with someone you hadn’t known for more than 2 weeks.
They say that Whenever your life is in danger, it seems like your true feelings about everything surface. In that moment, you knew your true feelings about Spencer. You knew that you loved him, and that maybe he loved you back.
Everything blurs together as you hear gunfire, and everything goes white for a moment.
~
Spencer is trying to look for you, his eyesight is still blurred. Finally, he sees you, your leg is hurt, and the man who was holding you at gunpoint is trying to pull you away.
Spencer doesn’t hesitate, he runs as fast as he can, trying to catch up to you. He finally does, tackling you to the ground. The man that was pulling you looks back, and seemingly decides that you’re not worth it. He runs off.
Spencer takes a breath, looking over your body for an injury. He sees that it’s your leg that’s injured, a bullet had hit your thigh. With Spencer’s limited medical training, he concludes that you will be fine. You will still need to go to the hospital, and you’ll need to have an agent or officer go with you. Spencer decides without anyone approving, that it will be him.
He does what he has to, and pulls your arms behind your back to handcuff them. He takes a look at your face, there is no smirk on your face this time. Just regret and sadness.
“I’m sorry.” Spencer says quietly, and you nod, understanding. He helps you get up, “How much pressure can you put on it?” He asks, and you groan at the feeling of trying to walk. Spencer, without hesitation, puts you on him and walks you to the ambulance that had arrived.
The medics take over from there, they ask if Spencer is hurt, and he shakes his head. He is zoned out, only focused on you when Morgan comes up behind him. “Are you okay?” He asks, looking at Spencer.
“Yeah, are you guys not chasing that guy?” Spencer asks, a harsh tone in his voice. From behind him, he hears a groan, “He had a getaway car. You’ll never find him.” You say, and Spencer turns to you.
“Where would he go?” He asks you, searching your face. You have a small smile on your face. “I can tell you the address of the apartment we were at, but I highly doubt they’ll go back there.” You say, and the medics lift you in the ambulance.
Spencer turns to Morgan, “I’m riding with her.” He says, matter-of-factly. Before Morgan can tell him no, he’s already climbing in.
On the way to the hospital, Spencer wanted to hold your hand. Instead, he settled on putting his hand on top of yours.
~
Spencer stands outside of your hospital room. The officer assigned outside of your room was looking at him a bit weird, but he didn’t care. He needed to be in there. To everyone else, he was conducting an interview, but there were other things he needed to get off his chest.
He finally works up the courage to go in there, telling the officer that he has this. The officer walks away, presumably to take a break.
Spencer walks into the room, and you turn your head, smiling at him. “Hey princess.” You say, but Spencer sees through your behavior.
He sees the fear in your demeanor, the regret in your eyes. The way your face falls after sentences.
He can’t help it, he turns your face, and captures your lips in a soft, short kiss. When he pulls away, you nod, “I’m sorry.” You say, tears threatening to fall down your face.
The memories of betrayal and hurt go out the window whenever Spencer sees you cry. He wraps you in a hug. “It’s okay.” He mutters over and over again. Whenever he pulls away, he gives you a sweet smile.
“I have to ask you some questions princess.” He says, pulling out a notepad. He didn’t need the notepad, he just needed something to occupy his hands so that he didn’t put them on you.
He asks you many questions, and he has to assume you’re telling the truth. You were betrayed by the organization, and seemingly your best friends.
After asking all the questions he needs to, he squeezes your hand, and gives you a bittersweet goodbye. Spencer walks out of the hospital room, and he presses his back against the door.
Your trial would be very soon, and he was terrified for the results.
