author's note – firstly, very excited to finally share my new project with you that i've been working on as a side quest while finishing mon amour. i'm really excited to finally start this series especially because it's my first time writing max so i spent a lot of time getting character and looking how most writers portrayed him. i'm very happy to finally share this even if i can't instantly start updating. and sadly, this won't be as fluffy as mon amour.

Okay so after reading a bunch of theories on Deep Cover and rewatching the MV about 30 times, my only coherrant thought is that I want Kotoko Yuzuriha to be fucking okay

I am now 32. @fairvalesmostwanted got me a much better art program for my birthday and guys, what in the world was I doing using fucking Corel Paint Shop Pro for the past 20 years?? Old habits die hard. I knew the program like the back of my hand and stuck with it solely because of familiarity.

Work was pretty easygoing today and yesterday, I've been retrying a troublesome cloning process several times but not feeling overly frustrated about it; and I think we might be getting to the bottom of the problem now. The main thing is my boyfriend has been visiting over the weekend and until this morning, so I wasn't feeling very bothered about work! I think that's probably a good thing actually. Being in a new city means my life outside of work can feel a bit small still, so it's so good to have someone familiar around to energise me and fill up all my free time so it counterbalances the work, and make me extra motivated to get home and get on with what feels like the best/more important way to spend time! ❤️

#I'm sure my enthusiasm and love of phd work is going to grow #as I get more invested and move onto new rotations and then my real main project especially #but atm life can feel a bit quiet still. ALRIGHT IT'S THAT TIME OF WEEK.

I have THREE things in my fic backlog that I can post on Monday!

Yes, three. One of them is longer than the others, one of them is very, very short, and one of them will be posted on Thursday if it doesn't get posted on Monday.

Anyway!

I have the next chapter of Of An Endless Infinity (specifically this is the first memory chapter and I'm very excited to finally be posting this), I have the first chapter of What You Have Tamed (aka Monaca Towa fic), and I also have the prologue of a currently untitled Glass Onion/Danganronpa crossover.

I'm excited to post all of these, actually, so!

Of note: Because the GO/DR crossover bit is a prologue, it is very short. Very. Short. Also, just as before, if the OAEI chapter doesn't go up on Monday, it'll go up on Thursday because I want to maintain weekly chapter updates on that.

General Idea of What You're Voting for:

OAEI is a Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc ending rewrite which focuses on Kyoko as she and the survivors continue to live in Hope’s Peak with Junko after Makoto was executed.

WYHT is post-canon Danganronpa fic that is basically encapsulated in these posts (1, 2, 3). It focuses on Monaca Towa as she gets adopted by Nagito (among other Remnants) and eventually becomes a student at Hope's Peak Academy (along with the other Warriors of Hope, who have been adopted by various survivors). (Also, there will be a Killing Game. Because of course, there will be.)

The currently untitled Glass Onion/Danganronpa crossover is exactly what it says on the tin. It's Glass Onion but with DR characters mixed in. Junko is Whiskey. Kyoko and Benoit are both on the island investigating different cases. Miles is still an idiot. And more! (No one has a Talent, what is a Talent, there's no Ultimate Despair, what's that, etc.)

The way that the sun hits leaves and clouds. I feel like I could watch the colors change forever. If I could slow down for that long.

#i keep forgetting a have a deck now. i can go outside and sit there #im doing that now. sitting in the corner of a deck full of empty chairs. staring up at a big pine tree where the sun is striking it gold #at the top. i like how thr light hits the needles. if the sky was black it would look like its on fire #theres a tree outside my bedroom window too. in the morning. after the sunrises it catches thr light and refelcts the most perfect shade #of green. the kind of green that flutters translucent like youre looking up from the bottom of a pool. the light the light its all about #the sun. everything everything is about the sun. when i start my project I'll be focused on understanding how organisms catch the light bc #its so incredible and complicated it would make my chest swell to bursting if there wasnt an empty bleeding wound in my gut. a #metaphorical wound of course. i dunno. its just difficult bc right now my mood is inflated by hormones. not even that much i think I'm #just at what shoulf be a normal level of happiness so i can be slow for a minute. but just a minute bc i kno it won't last long #sorry i cant shut the fuck up when im like this but i dunno i just feel like i havr to document these ephemeral moments before they're gone #its just difficult when you kno the world is so full of beautiful things but 95% of the time your eyes are too clouded to see it #everyone tells me i work too much but i feel like im just staring off into space being miserable 60% of the time. ive just done so much #damage over the past few years im coming into a new lab as damaged goods. ive got an albatross around my neck in thr form of data i #collected so self destructively that the idea of having anything to do with its publication makes me hate myself. everytime someone tells #me good job on collecting so so so much data it feels like they're congratulating me for breaking something within myself. like i slit my #wrists and bled out on a lab bench and theyre saying good job and theyre excited for me and i have to grin and bear it and pretend im #excited too. but im not bc ive burned everything inside me to ash. so when im elevated enough to be distracted by the clouds and trees it #feels like healing. like seeing angels. beautiful ephemeral beams of light. i wish i could slow down enough to watch them. but now thr sun #is hitting the horizon and the sky is going gradually dark and i should go inside. bc i have many things to do in the morning. so that's #what ill do. and ill try to get more thsn 6hrs of sleep but its hard when your body is vibrating over with energy #but at least i dont feel tired in the morning. something in my head must be on fire #unrelated #hm i should maybe add a tw to this #tw self injury #but its the kind thst makes u good at ur Job. its the kind ppl reward. so they don't understand when u say its destroying ur life #but im trying to get better. i say as i gear up for an insane semester lol but i do mean it

Yeah, I've seen the 1 min 30 Izzy teaser. I've seen it many times. I'm choosing to not go crazy on here because the second I do, I will abandon my WIP, and spend all day going in mental loops.

I'm just stuck on feelings of- 'damn we were right' (happy) and 'oh, damn, we were right' (devastated).

I trusted Con to take a look at this and give it the full attention it deserves. I'm VERY happy rn #I love Ed/Izzy(a lot) but it's not healthy and I'm happier that the show is giving Izzy a serious arc to deal with it vs the alternative #which is part of the fun most Ed/Izzy shippers (especially artists/writers) get! they know #that this relationship on the show IS complex and there's shit on both ends these characters need to work through #Liking Ed/Izzy doesn't mean you endorse the behaviors of either characters. This season will likely show us even more of their past #and show even more shit between the two of them. It's likely Izzy won't come out 1 clean either. But that's why this is a ship people follo #Con is THE person to have for this arc as MANY of his projects include these types of issues in relationships.
