That moment when Julia closed the blinds in her office (when Carmen popped by) was such a small and huge gesture of how much she understood and supported Carmen. Julia KNOWS how much Carmen needs to be hidden, and automatically does that for her security! It's like when your wife is considerate of you and will always, say, remember to bring extra snacks with her because she knows her boo always forgets to eat before an outing. Or other little things that make her partner's life easier.
And the SMILE that Carmen gives Jules when she agrees to help decode the relic... That WARM one that reaches her eyes... Carmen feels SUPPORTED by Jules. No questions asked!
They belong together. Seriously. Do not fight me on this.

normalize liking platonic dynamics just as much as romantic dynamics. normalize being insane over characters as friends and not as a ship. normalize wanting characters to be closer platonically just as you would want them to be closer romantically (I call it platonic shipping). normalize not having characters fall in love for no reason when they were already great and compelling platonically. normalize characters doing things that are usually seen as romantic but in a platonic context. normalize writing platonic fanfiction and drawing platonic fanart. "I am insane about their friendship" can and should be common actually. amatonormativity BEGONE!

a remake of "you've got mail" called "you've got kudos" about two fic writers who make flirty comments on each other's fics, only to realize that they already know each other because they used to be on opposite sides of a fandom war when they were teenagers under different usernames

Okay. I'm gonna be real with you.
Yes, selfshipping should be for you. It should make you happy. You should make things for yourself.
But also, humans are social creatures, right? We like to share things with others and make connections, right?
So why should we look people in the eye, people who get 0 notes and interactions, and tell them that they should be doing all this for themselves, when other people get fanart for their ships?
Would it really kill people to interract more with people they don't know? People who can't draw as well or as constantly, or have less stamina, or just aren't talked to very much? Would that really hurt?

Got notes again on my post abt how Falin's Girl Autism is romanticized to the point where people who don't really know or understand her are trying to propose vs Laios's Boy Autism being seen as an active threat even though the Toudens are literally so fucking alike and like. Yeah. Gdhdh I have nothing to add I was fucking right and I like that Ryoko Kui created such loving and similar siblings so that she could comment on how their autism and hyperfixations are so clearly filtered through a lens of how people see them due to their gender as well
