So I remembered this little cross stitch kit I got a while ago and finished it. But now I can't decide if I like it better with the legs or without the legs. I kinda wanna make it into a pin or a patch (and I'll have to figure out how to do that) and having the legs would make it more difficult but in a way it feels incomplete without them.

I wanted to get myself rollerblades or roller skates for a while now and my mom said she'd give me her old rollerblades that she barely used but no one is able to find them so I guess I'm buying new ones then
The only problem is, I am very bad at choosing anything and now I don't know if I should get rollerblades or roller skates
I'm more familiar with rollerblades but on the other hand roller blades look better, but how do you even turn in those things?
I'm of course gonna go try both on but if they're both gonna be equally comfortable to use then I'm gonna be doomed
So
Anyone got any opinion on that they'd like to share?

I'm debating whether I should make some patches for my denim jacket... My new one is so boring I don't want to wear it and and my old one is beyond repair (sad times I spent ages embroidering it during lockdown!) But is it worth the effort? And then what designs do I go for?! Too many decisions!

The thought that goes into the fake science in dungeon meshi can be something so special actually. Using golems to explain crop rotation and how removing predators from an ecosystem can have knock-on effects. Talking about symbiotic relationships and parasites too! And characters are actually interested in the science so they keep explaining about it. Finally, some exposition I can get behind.
#I tried to google to see if the author had any bio/chem/agriculture qualifications but no luck with a brief search#but like. just from reading up to early vol 2 I'm seeing so many lines where the in-universe science draws from rl#this is so much better than Kill the Moon aka the ep of dw that was so bad on science it made me drop the series for years#(admittedly the really bad abortion metaphor also contributed towards that decision but shhh)#dungeon meshi#I should maybe make a readthrough tag but I feel like if I do that I'm going to intimidate myself out of reading

So this is a comic I’ve wanted to do for a long time because it hits fairly close to home for me, but especially because I think this is foundational to Phoenix and Edgeworth’s relationship: trust. Throughout the games we see that they push and pull one another to get to the bottom of a situation, to discover the truth and do what’s right, even when it’s difficult. While obviously not canon, to me their relationship is so emblematic of kink it’s nearly unavoidable in my depictions of them--Edgeworth may always seem to be the ultimate string pulling master with a thousand tricks up his sleeve, but none of this could happen if he did not totally relinquish control via his unwavering trust in Phoenix.

Not breaking the kiss, Eddie shifts, throwing his leg over Buck’s lap, straddling him, and Buck’s hands immediately wrap around his hips, bringing him closer, as close as possible, just needing Eddie closer. Eddie gasps when their crotches collide, and breaks the kiss, Buck’s lips moving to Eddie’s neck.
“Buck.” Eddie whispers. “Buck, we- we should talk.” Eddie tries, but one of his hands is tangled in Buk’s hair, holding on tight. Buck stills his movements, looks up at Eddie and sees reluctance in his face. He’s not sure if it’s reluctance to stop or continue, and he needs to know for sure, would never want Eddie to feel pressured in any way. They have no alcohol to blame this time, after all.
“If you want to, let’s stop, and we can talk.” Buck says, voice a little shaky as he adds, “But we can always talk tomorrow?”, knowing this is a very bad decision, once again. He’s looking at Eddie’s face and sees something complicated, a conflict, a battle with himself. His eyes roam over Buck’s face, lingering on his eyes, then lips, then back to eyes. In the end, some part of Eddie wins, or loses, and he captures Buck’s lips with his own again.

The opening gag where Utena mistakes a planetarium projector for Anthy's brother is one my favorite moments in the show. It's classic 'Ikuhara gave the plot away when no one was listening for it' content. Because of course, it's true. It's true in at least a couple ways, not the least of which being that Akio has been relegated to the *purpose* of a projector. His job is to show the lovely illusions necessary to accept the terms of the present Anthy lives in. Anthy doesn't need to believe he's trying to save her, she can gloss over that. But she needs to believe he's trying to distract her, because that's the least he can be doing to keep surviving in the state he does. It's okay if a constant parade of potential replacements for him continue to march across the pretend sky, as long as it's him that's left with Anthy, safe.
It's kind of like how the media computer in our living room is called Akio, and for the last month the TV it displays to has been an absolute feeding frenzy for my dumpster taste in men. Knives, Sephiroth, Silco, now fucking Astarion, and who Akio disliked so much he fried his own GPU. I replaced it. He took the hint. Akio is only ever as good as his ability to show you what you want. Even if it isn't him. Especially if it isn't him. No one shows up to look at the projector. They are there for the show.
