cw: you two have a son together, mention of being married, old man Bakugou

older retired pro hero Bakugou, who you find hunched over his desk one night. it’s late and the day was long and your son was whinier than he usually is. you’d think the old man would be in bed right now, but alas—he’s not beside you.

instead, as you round the corner to get a full look at him, he’s wearing his reading glasses, adorning an old ratty tank, his arms still big but softer than the years from before. he has a book open in front of him, desk scattered with pictures you can’t see from your angle, scissors, stickers, glue sticks.

“What are you getting up to at this hour, old man?” You ask softly, smiling when Bakugou doesn’t even look up from what he’s doing. his tongue is sticking out in the corner as he cuts a squiggly line on a picture, posing it beside another on a blank piece of paper.

“Therapist said I should get into crafting,” he grunts, finally looking over at you from over his glasses. “Do things with my hands, feel busy, get my mind off’a shit.”

you pad over to where he sits, the overhead lamp on his desk focused on the big baby blue book with white pages. peeking over his shoulder, you rest your head on top of his, chin nestled in the still unruly blond and silver locks, overseeing his work.

and honestly? it almost makes you wanna cry. it’s a scrapbook, the page open to pictures of your wedding day, how pretty you looked, how big he smiled at you. you can see other scattered pictures on his desk—when you got a promotion at work, when he was number one for seven months in a row, a positive pregnancy test, the cutest baby you’ve ever seen, two little teeth coming in, baby being held in dads big ole arms that will always protect him.

“After this page, I gotta do the honeymoon.” Bakugou speaks gruffly, setting down a picture to wipe a hand down his face. “And then life accomplishment shit, the baby, his first steps.” He sounds so tired, and you can’t help but wrap your arms around his shoulders, sliding down to smush your face against his own.

“You always have tomorrow. Come to bed.” You say against his cheek, squeezing him when you feel the rejection start up in his belly. But he deflates, pulling his glasses off, reaching around to pull you in his lap. He looks so grumpy, with his frown lines and crows feet, and yet so handsome with his small smile and soft eyes.

“I’ll print more pictures tomorrow. And maybe go by the store to get some more stickers, too.” He tells you in between kisses, his words soft, his hands rough through your pajamas. You hum against his mouth, holding his nape, afraid to ever let him go.

“You do that. Now let’s go to bed.” You whisper, standing up and pulling him with you. He closes the scrapbook for now, and you glimpse at the cover, heart melting at the picture of you two holding up your son, both kissing his cheeks. The picture is captioned with “Our Life” and you don’t think you’ve ever been more grateful to have met him.

Psychologist really went “yes, adhd is what I would call this. But I don’t believe in labels so I’m just going to not diagnose you so colleges won’t have to know :) you can still come to therapy every week though so I can help you learn to turn your adhd into something good!”

#I appreciate the help #but also #an actual DIAGNOSIS would be transferable #and I could tell other health professionals about it?#just seems helpful since he made it very clear he thinks I’m right about what I struggle with #:/#at least I get to work with him tho #he said hyperfocus is like the Force and you have to learn how to use it like a superpower #which like #okay?#in my experience I can’t choose what I hyperfocus on #but I guess that’s why I have this guy #idk having this pseudo-diagnosis stresses me out #adhd

Got my first shrimp goby pair last week and this is my impression of them so far.

#Art #Fish #Fishblr #Fish art #My art #The fish is fine btw just a coward #Though I do think he might have gotten a small concussion from his two escape attempts #Jumped out of the tank literally at one in the morning and then an hour later at two in the morning it was a miracle I was awake during this #I have since covered the food holes in the lid with heavy objects #It gave me a heart attack on day two cuz I thought it was dead #I even poked it with a stick and it didn’t react at all #Luckily I left it in there and it was up and going about six hours later and has since been behaving normally #It is eating tho which is a good sign #Tested my paremetres and there’s nothing wrong with the water so ╮(╯_╰)╭#Shrimp is delightful to watch #She explores the tank a lot and is super cute #Idk what the sex of the fish is but I’m pretty confident that the shrimp is a girl #Has snapped once and I was unprepared for how loud they actually are in person #The fish cuddles the shrimp with its tail and they’re super cute #They gave me a stress for a few days but everything’s stable now so #10/10 aquarium pets #Aquarium stuff

My afraid-of-romance ass has just been asked by another regular customer for my number and the stupid thing is that again I do think this guy is kinda cute and I really probably should say yes

#vee queued to fill the void #i’m trying to put together a look at kuukou’s various symbols on his outerwear for a post and was mildly surprised lol #like kuukou’s colours are muted and that’s obvious from the moment you see his entire fit yeah #but it completely flew over my head that kuukou’s shachihoko changed since it’s one of the few aspects of kuukou’s attire that carried over #lol we back to kuukou analysing in the tags this is great lmao so i was thinking #i haven’t gotten around to posting it but one of kuukou’s lines for new years in arb is him stressing to stay healthy #like he even says not to overdo it!!!!!!#i always wondered what aspect of smoking & drinking kuukou doesn’t like and it seems to be pointing to the body/mind ruining aspect #(tho to be that aware of it is still hmmmmm lol 🤔)#real gold should never have to be polished and usually withstands the elements quite fine but copper!!!!#turns green under prolonged exposure to water air etc and that’s what happened to kuukou’s speakers like it’s an oxidised copper dragon lol #so we have a kuukou who has gone from bright colours and golds to a kuukou in darks and copper a less resilient metal #best case scenario it’s just symbolic of kuukou’s experiences!!!! like his speaker is of a dragon that has been exposed and weathered a lot #but is still going strong kicking ass taking names lol #worst case scenario i think is that it’s a 🚩 🚩🚩that kuukou’s being weathered down by something and not in a good way #nodders yup yup yup we back to worrying about kuukou starting off his year STRONG lmao
