now on to the thing i didn’t like in derision: socqueline. to me, that was the part that felt most like a retcon, because marinette’s reaction to alya in origins makes less sense if socqueline defended her before. why is she so amazed that alya can stand up to chloe? why would she give the ladybug earrings to alya, a girl she just met, and not to the girl who was her personal hero the year before? the girl who inspired the ladybug pigtails?

Went back to the indie cinemar to pick up my forgotten water bottle but they didn’t open for another hour…oh well lucky for me there’s always trespassing in the old disused trainyard from the halcyon days of domestic industry 👍

i’ll be honest, the aeon/god concepts in hsr are really fucking cool?

like. take an abstract concept—preservation, abundance, destruction, elation, etc—now dial it up to a thousand percent. congratulations! you now have amoral, enigmatic beings who exist solely to embody their singular aspect—and they will take that aspect as far as they are able to.

it’s really driving home that Divine and Monstrous are not mutually exclusive
