i got a humble bundle like 2 years ago bc there were 2 specific games i wanted from it + it was cheaper than buying either of them individually + I didn't even LOOK at the other stuff in it but now every couple of months someone will mention a game that sounds cool as hell and I'll search it up on steam and discover I already own it. gift that keeps on giving for reaaal

Could you write hc’s for the main 4 + butters (or just one person if that’s too much) with a Canadian reader? 1. Who or what got you into F1?
Basic bitch answer but my dad. He was a big fan, and his dad was a fan. I was plonked infront of the TV to watch it as a kid, and grew up never missing a race. That was until Sky Sports braught it off chanel 4, and now my family can't afford to watch it anymore. I have to pirate it now coz I AINT PAYING 50 A MONTH go fuck yourself Sky Sports.
2.Who was the very first F1 driver you supported? Do you support them now? Have your opinions on them differed or stayed the same since then?
Probably Lewis? Or Jenson? I was (still am) a Mclaren fan as a kid, and my dad always cheered on English drivers, so I just copied him. I still love them both now, my opinions havn't changed on them at all!
3.Who’s your current favourite F1 driver?
Current grid? Probably Max, Fernando or Oscar. They are all so so talented, it's just a pivalidge to watch them drive. I think they're all really funny in their own ways too.
My favourite driver ever? Senna, obviously. Or Prost.... Can't ever pick.
4.Is there a driver pairing or pairings you support? What made you attracted to that pairing in the first place?
I support all and any pairings. F1 RPF in all forms is delicious thankyou. My faves are: Prost X Senna, Carlos X Lando, Max X Charles, Peroni X Villeneuve, George X alex, Mika X Michael, and Nigel X Elio.
The only ship I don't really vibe with is Pierre X Charles? Like idk I just don't feel it. But I'll still read it so lol
5. Do your parents, siblings or relatives have a favourite team and/or favourite driver(s)?
My dad supports Mclaren same as me. My sister isn't really into it? She finds charles hot and will watch edits of him but shes never watched a race or really gives a shit about the actual driving. Shes here for the thirst traps and Ferrari merchandise and I respect that so much.
6. Do you have any favourite races? Are there any that stand out to you the most?
Dallas, Texas 1984. What a fucking shit show. Absolute comedy sketch. Everything about that dumb race is so funny to me.
7. Do you have a favourite circuit? Can be from the past or from the current calendar.
Hungaroing! It was the first F1 race I ever attended, and the joy I get out of watching it and screaming 'IVE BEEN THERE IVE BEEN THERE' never leaves. The first race in person was special, so hungaoring is special now too.
8. Have you ever been to an F1 race in real life? Feel free to tell us your experience going to one if you like
Yes. And I don't know why but I was so shocked at how friendly everyone was. I think I was expecting it to be like football, but everyone got along so well no matter the teams ect. I always get general admission now, because its so much fun to sit and make new friends with other F1 freaks!!! Everyone shares food, alcohol, blankets, brollies ect- its alwaus such a good atmosphere at everywhere I've been.
9. Have you ever met an F1 driver in real life?
Yes. Seb and Jenson. In the same day. I nearly exploded, but actually managed to come off very normal and composed.
10. Do you have a favourite F1 car? If so, what is it?
McLaren MP4/4 1988.

The details, the colours, the absoulte perfection of the livery, and of course the V8 underneath that gave way to MCAREN DOMINATION. Shes perfect.
11. Do you have a favourite one win wonder?
Gerhard Berger or charles.

preamble:
walking around chicago is like going on a scavenger hunt, it's so freaking lush with tags! living here has made me all the more grateful for graffiti and to have gotten more into it this year, it feels like there's a hidden language (corny to say i kno) and clues everywhere for you to notice if you just pay attention. i feel like i'm almost creating a parasocial relationship with some of the tags i've seen around, especially "kool cig", because it feels like everywhere i go it's there with me- i wanna know who kool cig is and be their friend! they're hitting all the same spots as me! "wonder" is also one that i rly love and feels like has to be done by a gay faggot. some honorable mentions that i haven't documented enough of that are a couple rly prolific taggers are "loki" and "jamal". i gotta get more pics of those guys because they are EVERYWHERE especially loki. oh also i wanna say these are tags just from the neighborhoods of logan square/hermosa and west humboldt park/ukrainian village, so definitely not trying to claim that im sampling tags from the entire city of chicago ! ok now here's the post
"kool cig"
i rly love how playful kool cig feels with its wonky 'k' and 'g' lettering. it stands out everywhere & is a good reminder that legibility and consistency can make a rly good tag! it's style is simple but different. (also note that there is a "jamal" in the first pic and a "loki" in the fourth pic). i love kool cig!!!

benon is all over, especially more by me in hermosa rather than deep in logan square. benon is a good example of how observing tags can feel like putting together a little puzzle sometimes! the first few benon i saw were just quick hand style tags where it was hard to tell if it was “bevon” or “benon”, but the more i saw around, and eventually seeing the bubble letters confirmed it, i felt confident it was benon. i also missed a sticker of theirs i saw too while biking! it’s cool that they do tags, throwies, and stickers//so comprehensive!

AH, hello! You'd like my villain origin story, hm?
I guess I'll use a read more because I'm cursed by the inability to EVER shut up.
So back in 2020-2021 someone that I've been friends with for over 10 years and follow on tumblr became army. She was posting tons and tons of giftsets and vids every day as she began to work her way through the content. I didn't pay much attention at first but as the moths passed I somehow eventually started playing a little game with myself called "Is Jungkook in this/Can you find Jungkook" because that was her bias at the time and I only knew his name.
Somehow this expanded to one or two other members (I wanna say Jimin and Joon?) and it was just my private little game with myself when she would post.
I can tell you the exact moment I actually paid attention - she posted gifs of this moment:
I remember DISTINCTLY sitting up like wait, they're actually good/talented???
We got to the point where Dynamite was out and I'll be honest, I didn't really like it and I still don't. But after this moment I thought okay maybe I'm missing something.
So the summer of 2021 I dm'ed her and said, "Hey, want to rec me some BTS songs? My playlist feels stale."
She sent me Mic Drop (steve's version lol), Fake Love, and Truth Untold and I loved all three (they still remain among my top faves!). I asked for a few more. So on it went until I'd listened to the whole discography lol. Eventually she sent me like a list of their discography and I would watch the lyric video that lights up who's singing so I could 1) know what the lyrics were about and 2) kind of learn their voices. If I liked a song when I listened to the lyric video, I threw it in a giant playlist on Spotify. I ended up with uhhhhhhhh a lot of songs lol.
I also watched Run BTS from episode one all the way through during that summer. I watched Bon Voyage 1, 3, and 4 and watched 2 together with her later in the fall.
We went together to PTD LA (I flew from the east coast lol someone save jo) that December and saw Coldtan :')
The following March I started reading and writing ff and made this account :')
Anyway, was Taehyung my first bias - yes!! The first moment I was like "oh THAT ONE" was she had sent me a compilation of Taehyung saying insane shit with a straight face and I got to "that's the eyeliner" and had to pause to collect myself because him!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I also saw a gif from this moment (hi maggie lol) and I remember being like WAIT HOLLUP WHO IS THAT? ONE OF THE MEMBERS LOOKS LIKE THAT? WHO IS IT? and it was cemented. I alsoooooo remember DISTINCTLY losing my shit the first time I listened to Singularity because HIS VOICE!!!!! HIS VOICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DEEPER THAN THE OCEAN IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT TO DROWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyway ahem we're all normal here.
However it was MAYBE only two weeks after Taehyung claimed me that I dm'ed her again like, "Why does my brain suddenly love Suga?" and she was like "I was waiting for that" and for the majority of my army time I have really considered myself a double-bias, at times feeling like maybe I was a Yoongi-ult but these days the taehyung chokehold is stronger, I'm afraid. At PTD LA Yoongi came to our corner of the stage in a leather jacket during soundcheck and I'm telling u I ascended I was not on this planet anymore i did not breathe air until he was gone again afjheaiufqiughijg
THEN of course Mr. Kim Namjoon had to absolute wreck my shit in the Indigo era and took over my entire existence SIGH.

Just caught up to LTHY and wow😭😭😭 JK is such a cutie and I loved the way u characterized him, he’s literally a puppy, but it’s so cute and warm to see him never falter w his attempts at gaining y/n’s affection
This is one of my fave couples in fics ever, I really love how this story is unfolding
I was a bit frustrated with y/n withholding so much from JK or just being difficult in general, but I love their dynamic of her always brushing him off and he continues and just continues to show her love
And I love how she’s slowly coming to terms with her feelings for him, but why does she keep doubting jks “real” feelings for her, obviously they are in this agreement, but why would he go out of his way to say he loves her and is in love with her, especially when they are alone by themselves usually when he randomly confesses his feelings!!! I love how frustrated they make me😂🫶
Also the bathroom guy🥲🥲 I wonder when JK is gonna tell her that it’s him, bc that was actually so cute😭😭 idk who I expected it to be, but finding out they had already made a connection warmed my heart

see, i think u gotta be more careful with not making distinctions bc that's similar to the rhetoric ppl use to equal anti-israel = antisemitic and other bs. i think centrism in this case is cowardly and a cop-out without doubt, as well as willfully closing ur eyes to the very clear situation at hand - but some ppl also are more centrist with their positioning bc they have a job to lose for example. in terms of celebs i think 98% of statements and engagements were centrist tbh, as i said it's mostly about PR for these ppl, but then hozier got jumped for being centrist which i didn't get at all. i thought his statement was very pro-palestine, he shared resources, and it's not even the first time he's stood up for palestine either so idk what some ppl are expecting tbh, this is the best u'll get apart from kehlani. florence, who this message was originally about, did share a "violence from both sides is wrong" typa thing at first too but then she signed the artists for ceasefire letter and shared more pro-palestine stuff.
i don't think harry represents everything i don't like but i'm def a more critical fan of him than others bc of my own moral code etc. i know as a woc my views won't always line up with a rich white man - at the same time i also don't look up to celebrities as moral pillars or political figures tho. obvs i wouldn't support someone who's some far-right idiot or whatever but i also don't expect harry to have the exact same values as me and i'm also not like "oh harry posted about supporting koala babies, i'll do that now", like it's insane to me how there was a statistic that [insert percentage here] of young ppl registered to vote bc tswift posted about it, like i don't need a celeb to tell me that, u know what i mean? i think the stan war that some ppl made out of the israel/palestine situation the past few weeks has actually been very crude. for me personally it's more about how these celebs are using their platform rather than my fave singer posting 3 sentences about how killing children isn't right and that's enough activism for the year lol i don't need the validation that i'm "stanning the right person" but it is good for the movement when someone who has millions and millions of ppl following them, some who do look up to them and value their opinion (see: swifties who signed up for voting), bring awareness to the humanitarian emergency and repost important info/voices. especially in this case hollywood voices matter bc it does bother israel a lot, part of their pr has always been to include celebs to spread their propaganda (see: hailee steinfeld taking pictures with the idf). anyway atp i don't expect harry to say anything, at best it would be a very centrist take as well which it pretty much always is when harry dares to say smth (vote with kindness) and it is disappointing bc he has such a die hard fanbase, but i was more worried that he'd say smth very dumb tbh bc so many ppl around him are so openly pro-israel. his activism has always been lackluster at best and again, i'm personally not expecting him to be the spokesperson for every issue in the world or try look for that from him, but idt anyone can be apolitical in this climate and especially not when u built ur whole brand on kindness.

Hii I want to read more poetry but I don't really know where to start bc I don't really know much about poetry or really like how to read it (like in order to /really/ read it and like get all the meaning and stuff akdnsjks if that makes sense) so I was wondering if you could tell me like your favorite poems or maybe like some you like that are more accessible to ppl who are less acquainted w poetry? Idk sorry if this is a big ask idk I also just wanna know your favorite poems haha

wah !! ok so some of those i found in anthologies in my school library and others i've found online. uh poetryfoundation.org is a wonderful website and they have a poem of the day! so when i remember i'll go and read that, and there's pieces of writing and essays on there too. but the poetry is so fun gjkfjfgk
i think a lot of school-type poetry is old and can be super interesting if you have the right teacher! idk do americans study poetry..... i guess u wouldn't do english poets anyway. uh .sidetracked. !! my english teachers rn are so fabulous and the poems we're studying are so so fun like.. currently looking at robert browning. if u looked him up u wouldn't think its fun but genuinely. his poems are amazing. BUT i wouldn't recommend getting into poetry w old poets. like shakespeare/browning etc. the language can be tricky so i'll rec poets that are more ,, recent? so mary oliver is a classic fave. ocean vyong, richard siken and rupi kaur have really distinct styles and from that u can see what kind of poetry u like reading + what themes make ur brain get excited gjkfjfgkdfj.
(i also have a literature folder on my phone to keep poems i don't class as faves. but they're just fun 2 keep)
about meaning!! bc i don't think ive covered that. some poems are easy to unpick meaning. u don't need to know abt rhyme rhythm and stuff for understanding but it can be fun. as like an oh moment of "this war poem is a sonnet, a traditional love poem. what could this mean !!" and other fun stuff like that. some poems say it like it is. wild geese by mary oliver is like that, the patience of ordinary things as well. but not all poems are easy to understand at first read ! or u understand it at first but realise there's more layers after a while. also sometimes i just google stuff if i dont know whats goin on im gna be honest
