saw some posts on this website discussing what sort of videogames the dunmeshi characters would play and i think everyone is wrong. everyone is wrong except for me so im going to spell out exactly who plays what. putting it under a read more because im going on a damn tangent.

Laios: He's not a gamer he does not play games on purpose he will only ever play video games when his friends ask him to join them in their multiplayer things. One day tho Falin told him about Monster Hunter and now thats the only thing he plays aside from Spore and he has sunk countless hours into that damn game. Also he probably has played Some pokemon but he doesnt like PLAYING it he just likes it in concept he knows the name of all the pokemon

marcille: people keep saying she would be a cosy gamer playing animal crossing and stardew and other cute games ^-^ its so lalalaaaa NO!!!!!!! no she does not. Marcille plays games that stress her out on purpose marcille plays overwhelming micromanagey games like lobotomy corporation and rimworld and etc. She also likes games with deep lore and mysteries to discover. The only thing that doesn't fit in this category that she plays is Minecraft shes always in there CREATIVE MODE building virtual dungeons and other crazy shit. Also she plays on her work laptop with trackpad ok

Chilchuck: This one is for me. This one im just basing off my own dad ok. Chilchuck used to be a hardcore gamer in his youth but specifically he was playing stuff like world of warcraft and old school runescape he had really big setups so he could run several instances of the game at once on all his alt accounts so he could beat a boss by himself and he was really good at it. But then he had kids and didnt have time for this sort of thing so he stopped playing videogames aside from occasionally helping his daughters beat a super hard mario level. Later in life he probably discovered some shitty little low-commitment phone game like pokemon go or pikmin bloom or some daily sudoku puzzle thing and he plays it every day but its not that big a deal. He has been pressured by his friends and daughters to make a roblox account but he hasnt played it at all.

Senshi: THIS guy is the one that plays animal crossing. He logs in when he can but hes not on that every day grind. Also he doesnt play the newest one he doesnt play horizons he plays one of the DS ones. Wild world probably. He either doesn't like or doesn't know about the nintendo switch. Whenever one of his villagers say that they want to leave he'll nod solemnly and say smth like "Well... I suppose it'd be selfish to ask ye to stay, friend... Just promise me you'll stay safe and never forget me... Go and explore the world. Wish ye the best." Plus his island would be covered in weeds. He also has some mobile games he enjoys angry birds and candy crush and crosswords (gotta keep the brain in shape!) but other than that he doesn't videogame much because he prefers board games and tabletop stuff he isnt too jazzed about all this modern technology plus a console or a laptop and all that gaming equipment is a lot to lug around and hes a nomad he would NOT have that shit

Falin: Now FALIN is the cosy gamer. kind of. Falin plays animal crossing new horizons sometimes and has fun making a bad island on purpose. Very mildly "bad" tho the worst she'll do is use the drawing feature to hide a giant penis on the beach or whatever. Or she'll give her villagers silly outfits. She also plays minecraft (either skyblock or she makes a new world and explores and builds a couple houses and then forgets about it and makes another new world) and roblox (likes 'trolling' strangers by dressing up funny and acting kind of strange in roleplay servers but she's never actually mean or anything.) But the big thing she likes is story-driven indie rpgmaker games. She's the person who will say shit like "Yeah I played Blums Booglies the quest for Big Dinners and it was so good I cried for 9 hours" completely unironically.

kabru: social gamer like laios but the games he plays on purpose are the sims (he likes to cause them problems) and online multiplayer games (he likes to peoplewatch). I can also see him doing absurd and tortrous challenge runs of games like No items no pokecenter one type hardcore nuzlockes. im correct

izutsumi: ACTUALLY trolls people on roblox. And she plays needlessly gory flash games. Maybe she calls people dumbfucks over valorant voice chat sometimes

You're the newest member of I.M.P. A few days ago you saw their help wanted poster and decided you needed the extra money so you decided to join. You got along really well with Moxxie, Millie and surprisingly Loona. The only person who doesn't seem to like you is Blitzo. He was always staring at you. Watching your every move like he's waiting for you to do something wrong. So you always tend to keep your distance.

"Yea I think me and Millie have had enough excitement for today as well. Goodbye sir! Goodbye Y/N!" "Bye Blizto! Bye N/N!" Moxxie and Millie wave goodbye as they leave. "Whatever, bye." Loona continues on reading her magazine. "Bye guys!" You wave goodbye to them sweetly. "Bye lovebirds! Don't get too kinky while I'm away!" You can almost hear Moxxie rolling his eyes at those words and you chuckle. Now its just you, Loona and... Blitzo. You got home and were extremely exhausted as you flopped down onto your semi comfortable bed. Due to only recently having a job you dont have that much money to buy yourself a nice place so for right now you're stuck in this crummy apartment. Even though you didnt mind your situation someone else did.

Stolas has been watching you from the day he saw you in the I.M.P headquarters while he was visiting Blitzo. He's been obssessed with you ever since he saw you and has stalked you finding out your likes, habits, dislikes and everything else about you. He truly believes that you deserve so much better than what you have. He loves you and believes you deserve to be treated like a queen. A problem with that is that Blizto is also in love with you. Stolas notices the stares he give you and the longing look in his eyes. He's sure Blitzo has noticed his interest as well and thats probably why Blitzo hasnt spoken to him. But nevermind that.

You change into your PJ', get into bed and start scrolling through Helltok. "Ah shit its getting dark and I have to work tomorrow" you sigh. "I guess I should go to bed as Moxxie would say thats the responsible thing to do." You turn off your phone and go to bed. Stolas stares at you from the window wishing that he were next to you.

After a while he sees someone climbing onto your balcony. He's about to go stop him but then the two lock eyes. "Stolas?! The fuck are you doing here?!" He almost tumbles off the balcony from the surprise. "I should be asking you the same question Blitzo." "Look dipshit im doing the same thing you are but going inside." Blizto starts opening the window. "Wait! We shouldnt do that it invading her privacy." He goes to stop him but then Blitzo slaps his hand away. "Oh and stalking her isnt invading her privacy?! Look just leave ok if you dont wanna do this. Not like I want you stealing my girl anyways." He grumbles the last part but Stolas is able to hear him. "Well I sure as hell am not leaving her alone with you." "Then come in with me." He grabs Stolas's hand and stealthly brings him into the room. Stolas blushes at the sudden contact. 'Wait why'd he blush? What the hell is happening to him?'

You're dead asleep on the bed. "So smart ass what do we do now?" He tries to cover up the fact that grabbing Blitzo's hand made him blush. "We look around bird brain." They start looking around the crummy place, dodging the clothes thrown on the floor. Eventually after looking around for a while Blitzo decides to look your computer as Stolas watches you sleep peacefully. Out of the corner of his eye Stolas sees him breaking into your computer. "Hey!" He yells silently. "What do you think you're doing?" "I'm looking through her computer dipshit." Blitzo rolls his eyes as though its obvious. "Well yes I know that but why?" "To make sure she ain't seeing some other loser."

Blitzo searches and suddenly stops dead in his tracks. "You need to see this birdie." They stare at the computer reading you're messages with some guy named Dennis. "Oh hell no" they growl out in unison. You whine and shift in your sleep as they go dead silent. Once they're sure you're not awake they continue. "We can't let this shit happen." Blitzo growls with malice. "I completely agree. This dirt bag isn't good enough for our Y/N." Stolas nods. "Wait, our?" you heard the keys jangle in the doorknobs and you quickly got up, you didnt even know what you wanted to say to him. you looked out your doorframe and saw him taking off his shoes at the front entrance as you angrily walked over.

"suguru what the hell! where the fuck where you at? you turned off your damn location. you know what nevermind you were probably at the bar with gojo flirting with some girls since you clearly dont give a shit about me."

it all blurted out, you felt like throwing up. why now? suguru had to take a minute to process everything from you talking to fast. "y/n i wasnt flirting with any girls nor at the bar. i just had gotten a new mission right before i got off and my phone had died." he said with no emotion in his voice. you could tell it was a lie. just by the way he looks uneasy you can tell hes been drinking.

the past 3 months have felt like hell. sugurus been getting more distant and staying out later than he tells you while getting drunk. you dont fucking get it. why is he doing this? what have you done to deserve this? youve put so much into this relationship and hes tearing it apart like its nothing.

thinking about how all of their songs are about what they want, what they wish they had in life.

ricky's and noel's are extremely obvious - they wish to express themselves how they dreamed of being. ricky wants to be the space age bachelor man and noel wants to have an exciting life, one not filled with the stench of the taco bell kitchen (stench is the right word) or the boring lectures of teachers and the monotonous classes everyday. 

jane's is also obvious, she wants to know who she is outside of this afterlife. she wants to know what her head actually is, whats actually in it, her memories and experiences. she wants to know what its like to live outside of her doll's head.

mischa mostly wants to return back to ukraine for his beloved talia. but, i interpret the whole "what you are is what you is, and i am the money" as either a) the only thing his parents give him is money (i feel like they'd be well off, trying to build a life so their child could be stable growing up) or b) his parents give him maybe a few dollars for lunch money and nothing else. he barely survives in that cold, dark, basement. it's like a refridgerator filled with the stink of smoke and alcohol. he wants to have a luxurious life, or at least a life with talia.

ocean's is so interesting to me - her song is about how she wants to be selfish. she wants to be the most important, she wants to live again. but she knows she cant. thats why she votes jane and not herself. she wants to be selfish, but in reality, she is kind and moral (and doesnt believe in social darwinism). sure, sometimes she can be a bit annoying, but she cares. she just doesnt really know how to show it.

constance's is my favorite. oh my god, she wishes she understood how good she had it. she wishes she didnt hate her life, her family. she wishes she loved and cherished everything as much as she could. she wish she loved her little brothers dancing a little more, she wished she kissed her mom goodbye everyday instead of rushing out before they even had the chance to look at each other. she wished she could smell the cafe and enjoy basking in the warmth of the baked goods, instead of sitting in her room, alone, or going out to parties where she still felt like shit. she died regretting not loving enough, not loving what she shouldve.

Evie-got boring after D1, i wish they let her keep her chemistry stuff, love her vibe but shes kinda boring to me. SHOULD'VE BEEN THE MC OVER MAL!!

Carlos- lots of lost potential with his tech stuff from the first book and movie. easily could've been an engineer or inventor but they just made him an animal lover and i got bored of that real quick.

Uma-my queen, my idol, can do no wrong i love her so much i WILL kill for her.

Hades- LEMME KICK HIS DEAD BEAT ASS, fucking 'daddy issues made you stronger' my butt. i hate his hair and honestly he doesnt fit the washed up punk design, he didnt deserve the speech at the end and didnt deserve to be forgiven by Mal.

Ursula- we only saw her tentacle and one line but she seemed spot on so yeah

Lady Tremaine- why the fuck was she nice in D3??? bitch is the EVIL stepmother.

to cope with my post-binge blues from watching black sails, i just finished the treasure island audiobook. it's my first time with any treasure island media - now i have to watch the muppets movie. any way here are my thoughts:

- i knew the character of trelawney had to be based on the romantic era edward john trelawny of byron/shelley fame and I WAS RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sources: WONG, AMY R. “The Poetics of Talk in Robert Louis Stevenson’s ‘Treasure Island.’" A Sandison Robert Louis Stevenson and the Appearance of Modernism

- i know that black sails isn't fully intended to be a perfect prequel or meant to be taken as filling in all of the gaps to treasure island but i'm still going to compare & contrast the two lol

- billy spending his whole life obsessed with flint and having alcohol withdrawal induced hallucinations about him. OMG. and i'm shocked that they just casually dropped that he visited flint in georgia to get the map like did flint request to see him before he died, was it just about the map, or did he want closure about the whole thing, did billy seek flint out, why didn't they kill each other, how the fuck did that whole thing go? i need more information dammit

- saw another post on here talking about how in black sails flint has that speech about the drunk guy named flint asking his grandpa for rum before disappearing into the sea and then in treasure island we find out flints last words were asking a "darby mcgraw" for rum before he died SO IN THE BLACK SAILS UNIVERSE DARBY IS HIS GRANDPA and so im wondering DID FLINT 1.0 EVER EXIST AT ALL OR WAS IT SIMPLY FORESHADOWING ALL ALONG but at the same time it doesnt matter because the black sails creators said the ending is intentionally canonically up to interpretation and black sails canon and treasure island canon dont match up any way but still it gives us so much to think about bc we never canonically find out who the fuck darby is

- the doctor is the funniest character ever and him giving zero shits about billy or silver is hilarious LMAO

- rly enjoy the descriptions of the contents of billy's pockets and chest. i love old shit and that whole nautical aesthetic ugh. im currently wondering about the significance of the five sea shells billy had (jim wonders abt them too) if they were souvenirs from the island or what... but we never find out!!

- and what the fuck was up with those black spots I NEED ANSWERS! It worked on Billy but not Silver?

- having grown up on PotC i'm very enthused at the references (the song, the rum, "dead mens chest," etc)

- wish we saw more of jims mom, she was lowkey a badass for a moment there telling everyone off and willing to face the wrath of the pirates with her son lol

- love how the men just take jim on for his valour and then decide to make him a cabinboy and the mom just gets a replacement son to help her around the house lmaoooo i wonder if that was a common thing for single women to do though?

- long john silver has a sort of jekyll/hyde personality (btw the author stevenson also wrote jekyll/hyde for those of you who dont know!) - also why the fuck did they leave him to his own devices toward the end and not have a gun on him 24/7 like? i was also shocked that he didnt run off with all the gold only some of it. most chaotic character ever

- my biggest questions are why did black sails take out the alcoholism and the sea shanties? but importantly the alcholism - if they were going for gritty, as they were? flint and billy's alcoholism is integral to their characters (defines their characters actually) in the book as contrasted by silvers moderation & thats rly interesting. and the lack of singing is just boring - pirates rly did have sea shanties - however i can understand for time constraints per episode and whatnot them taking out the singing for practicality - but the alcoholism again is integral to those characters as well as being historically accurate and realistic & would have added a lot imo

EDIT: immediately after posting this i realized that since there are a few years between the treasure burial and flint's supposed death in georgia, he could have become a drunk in that time if we're creating a black sails to treasure island timeline, and billy wouldn't have become a drunk til later on since black sails is set roughly 20 yrs before treasure island.

HOWEVER - by the talks of it in treasure island, and all the pirates referring to flint as a drunk etc., it would still seem that flint was always that way when they knew him, prone to drinking... but at the same time i guess you could say all the characters are jollier than in black sails as indicated by their singing and their more stereotypical piratey ways.

however i still think the alcoholism & addiction theme would have added an extra layer to everything especially after flints sad drunk scene with eleanor. also in toby stephens deep fathoms interview he said flint is essentially like an addict when it comes to his delusion & desires. anyway i digress

idk if anyone will see this, and if they do i know for a fact someone will scream at me, but this is something i feel strongly about so i need to say it: fiona gallagher was an awful legal guardian to ian, debbie, carl, and liam, and she shouldn’t have ever gotten guardianship.

1). ian was missing for weeks, months even, and she thought nothing of it and just excused it as him being a teenager. like first of all, ian had been getting drunk and going off the rails for weeks before this and all she said was “will someone tell me what the hell is going on with that kid?”. like, yeah, he was just a teenager- but he was HER responsibility. she shouldve realized there was something going on and the fact that she didnt gives me the ick even if he probably wouldnt have opened up to her

2). carl literally became a drug dealer under her care and was doing INCREDIBLY dangerous things and she was just like “not my problem🤷‍♀️” like- what?! and i know that she checked up on him eventually but i really wish she did more for him then. especially when everything with franks liver was going on.

3). and FRANKS LIVER!! the entire era was devastating but like the second that she gained guardianship she was never around the kids and left them in shelias care. i dont blame debbie for being cold to her (even though it was too much) because she already had abandonment issues and that certainly didnt help.

4). liams overdose. she somehow made it all about herself and never took accountability but she absolutely should have. no, its not all her fault, but it also is. shes his guardian and left an open bag of coke out in his reach. thats neglect, like it or not.

5). in season 7 she was all about “not my problem” which is like- ok, but it is your problem. she told everyone to put her at the bottom of their emergency contact lists and to put kev and v before her. kev and v never signed up for this, but she did- literally. she even got the government involved and became their legal guardians. it doesnt matter that debbie was now a mother and carl a criminal. theyre her responsibilities. and kicking a teenage single mother out of the house is evil. i dont give a shit about your opinions on debbie. it is.

6). she left liam. yes, she shouldve gotten away, but take liam with you! in season 9 nobody knew where liam was and she legit didnt care and just up and left and didnt take him with her. she left him in the care of frank and the gallagher siblings which is stupid. she signed up for this so she cant just leave. i also want to know what happened with her guardianship because in season 11 liam says he doesnt think he has a legal guardian- you cant just quit that, can you? shes his guardian im pretty sure. and now tha frank and monica are dead what happened to him?

anyway, shes amazing. i love her. but shes a better sister than guardian/mother/whatever the fuck she is. accept it.

A movie you think is underrated - obliged to say An Elephant Sitting Still by hu bo bc i can never find it in dvd stores and i unfortunately honestly dont know if i will find a screening of it in a cinema available to me ever again but i dream of it

A movie you think is overrated - going to put two, one new and one classic. first one is parasite. im bitter abt this movie bc it was advertised like crazy and the reviews were so hyping and then i went and it was average. its not a bad movie but not only doesnt deserve the hype the hype ruined it for me bc if i went with the proper expectations i wouldnt have gotten so disappointed. a classic is alphaville of godard... obviously its a good movie and im sure it was groundbreaking at the time but by now the story doesnt feel as sophisticated bc this genre of story is at this point.. i wouldnt say overdone bc its still a great genre but its not fresh or suprising by now without making it more complex. this movie felt like a blueprint to the 1984 book soviet dystopia genre so it didnt keep up with the times. many classic movies are still exciting and fresh just like when they came out including other movies of godard but this isn't one of them. but i can also see how it was probably one of godard's top commercial movies, bc it was easier to digest and more basic than his other work

A movie you like but wouldn't recommend - stalker of tarkovsky and tarkovsky movies in general bc i think it would probs be boring to most ppl (its slow and not much plot) + tarkovsky movies r slow and the kind of movies u have to watch in the movie theater

A movie ruined by the ending - the holy mountain of jodorowsky... at the time i watched it i was so disappointed by the ending it was so anticlimactic. i think he thought he did something but it just didnt work. (might be spoilers) same vibes when a story pulls "and then he found out it was all a dream". like.. in this case it just didnt feel fitting it was disappointing. but i watched it years ago so i wonder if i would feel the same now

flippys an odd case bc just going by early episodes it doesnt seem like they were going for the evil alter hollywood DID route. just look how many times he supposedly "comes to his senses" only to continue doing fucked up shit! even in his debut episode

hes clearly got his normal eyes (he actually has them throughout the episode, except for the initial time where he hears the bird and his pupils contract, his eyes are completely normal. his pupils are contracted throughout his "episode" in the second ep he stars in)

-lets talk about catwoman who just kind of exists doing the catwoman thing of oh im on batmans side but not really and im on banes side but not really and it sucks but lets start with the misogyny before i talk about catwomans spineless centrism. when catwoman is caught by joseph gordon levitt shes taken to prison and the cops specifically point out shes taken to a mens prison (?????) because of the new laws because shes such a risk that a maximum security womens prison cant hold her but a mens prison can because womens prisons are all knitting circles i guess. This is really just an excuse so she can be in the prison that bane stages a prison break on (based) and come back for the climax and also have a hashtag girlboss moment where she does a sexy flip attack against a man threatening to sexually assault her which is just so classy nolan. and i want to fucking point out that this is blackgate prison which in most batman media is ALREADY FUCKING COED this shit was so unnecessary and gross and i just...its still pissing me off obviously so lets get to catwomans shitty fucking robin hood shit and why robin hood narratives are rarely ever radical. yes stealing from the rich and giving to the poor is cool but here and in most narratives its really only cool because its..one person or a small group. A society wide redistribution of wealth? out of the question thats too scary just go back to helping one kid steal an apple lady and hating that bane is literally crashing wall street (based) and breaking into rich peoples homes and bringing them to sentencing trials for crimes against humanity (based). Catwoman will have no part of that thank you and will instead just kind of...hang out until batman gets back.

side note what the fuck is up with the timeline in this movie batman gets his back broken and taken to the pit which is located in....an "ancient part of the world" the batman wiki tells me which holy shit okay the racism continues forever. but batman is not in gotham and again his back is literally BROKEN until it gets healed because he....was hoisted into a standing position with a rope? and idk how long that takes whether its months or a day because the movie seems to suggest both???

okay lets talk about talia al ghul and ras al ghul really quick before i get to based bane. Ill start by saying they're really fucking whitewashed like probably the worst example ive ever seen? Talia (or miranda tate as she's called for most of the movie) is played by a white french actress and Ra's al ghul is played by white irish actor and racist liam neeson. Because the comics are also racist ras al ghul never is really given a clear country of origin besides vaguely arabic slash east asian partially because hes so old but also again the racism but hes certainly not white again...because of the racism. and neither is talia who is only slightly less vaguely chinese and arabic. nolan gives even less of a shit than most batman writers though which is a high bar. talia was so boring and poorly written i barely remember her but they gave her half hearted attempts at environmentalism (incremental and done by begging the rich for everything though of course) before saying oh its actually because she and bane want to blow gotham up with a bomb which...god its all so stupid i honestly forget the bomb shit exists because it makes no sense and seems to have a detonation timer of 24 hours which again is why i literally have no idea what the timeline is. this shit is so stupid and unnecessary except to be the secret reason banes populist revolution of gotham (based) is actually bad but its so fucking tacked on even beyond most reasons why communist characters in media eat a baby to show theyre actually bad and so is communism because communists love neutron bombs.

Banes list of crimes batman has to stop him for are killing cia agents (based), crashing the stock market which he didn't even kill anyone at (not as based as he could have been), stage a prison break as previously mentioned (based), revealing police corruption (based), forming a militia to govern gotham while theres a transition of power from the rich and the police to the people (based), killing a bunch of cops (based), exploding some of gotham including all but one of the bridges out of the city (really just a strategic decision since hes about to have the american military on his ass and needs to counter that), and blowing up the pittsburgh steelers (extremely based). hey why is this guy the villain again? hey why does gotham have a wall street now why is this such a big deal is it possibly because the occupy wall street protests happened before during and after production of the movie? no that certainly couldnt be the case theres no way nolan would hate peaceful protests and create a movie where god forbid they werent peaceful and cops were instead treated like they treat protestors so we feel bad for them instead of people who are literally sick and tired of their labor being exploited by capitalism for the benefit of the rich. like jesus christ this movie is so blatantly fascist explaining the plot should have anyone going hey wait a minute. and you may say im biased in favor of bane as a communist but jesus christ are you seeing the shit nolan is pulling im being even handed in comparison i mean the fucking climax is batman showing up to rally the cops against bane and the mostly citizens militia of gotham like jesus fucking christ. banes not even a fucking dictator hes literally just some guy in most of the scenes after gotham is taken back by the people hes not even the guy sentencing and killing the rich and the police thats scarecrow! hes just on the sides like everyone else. and while im on scarecrow (jonathan crane hes not called scarecrow in the movie but he is that judge guy) nolan treats it as unreasonable that these are not hearings to determine the guilt of the police and the rich they protect because the people have already determined that theyre guilty but they just fucking are by definition. you dont get rich under capitalism by working hard you get rich by exploiting hundreds of thousands or millions of people out of their labor and livelihoods these people are fucking guilty even if they havent killed anyone with their own hands. but because bane does kill people on screen we're supposed to think hes worse but he only kills rich people and cops and the pittsburgh steelers!!!! like holy shit i hate this fucking movie i hate christopher nolan

in season 7, spencer tells her that she has mean girl vibes and she replies "i was a nice girl, especially to guys like you" which ALWAYS pissed me off because she literally just confirmed what he said? and everyone acts like it was a funny joke. she said that shit with her whole chest and meant it, and it wouldnt be *that* big of a deal if it was the only time. but shes consistently mean to him throughout the show, ignoring him, walking away, etc. spencer isnt even the only one shes like this to. and she just has a sense of superiority, idk how to describe it. just by the way she talks and interacts with those around her, you can tell. (while we're on that note, she also ignores her privileged a LOT. maybe not all the time, but theres been multiple times where she acts like she went through hell to get where she is. other than her sister passing, she had it completely easy. in terms of resources, opportunities, etc., she was basically born with a golden spoon in her mouth.)

in s14 when she confesses to spencer that shes always been in love with him, it just makes my blood boil. obviously he had been over her a long time (imo), but that was something she should've kept to herself bc it just brought alllll those feelings back to the surface. not to mention that hes the godfather of her children, and shes married, and will probably (definitely) doesnt know how she feels. thats literally emotional cheating on her part, even though reid didnt reciprocate it, it was still wrong of her to be that close to him without will knowing how she really felt.

there are other things i dont like abt her too, but those are the main things and im trying to keep this as short as possible. but i literally cant stand her, shes by far my least favorite character, and everyone acts like shes an angel sent from heaven, when really shes just a privileged bitch.

GIRL. he is being so nice to you?? he was literally like oh honey if you need time off i know you're really shaken up and we can take care of this and and and AND SHE WAS LIKE oH yeah suRe just admit it i'm the worSt everybody hATEs mE- I WAS... this is not about you. go get therapy for the dog attack that you just almost suffered?? do not stand around a crime scene and pester the victim's best friend and delay the investigation because you're feeling guilty. go talk to someone about it. take a few days off. again, i totally get that she was shaken up and hopped up on adrenaline, but everyone told her to go get some rest and she was like no i think i will make myself the problem instead <3

Not to mention, it would’ve been a great way to showcase side characters

Im thinking about it and had so much time to think about it that i came up with a crisis about how much I want to talk to someome about SL Rag again.

For the sake of it I will put the normal ideas first(Thomas and Reed, plus a bit of Zhigang and some canon divergence ideas) and then seperate the info about the rest of the hunters from the sequel (Siddhart, Liu,) inside the brackets.

But dear god do I LOVE them. Ive tried to find everything about them as much as possible, and watched the same national rank video (of them being insulted but in espanolllll) for the nth time because it was the only national rank video that i had known about but ahhhh. I keep thinking that the author left them there bc he had expected to make some use of it but decided to rush the story instead, or just placed it to make the threat of thomas seem a bit more threatning. Either way I would have also loved to see not just the national hunters but also the way they inteeracted with their guilds and countries as well.

For Christopher Reed my main headcanon was to have his past be connected to the Kamish event, having not just ptsd from fighting the dragon but also having lost his family in that event. He seemed reserved and doesnt even like hunting as shown in the time he rejected going too deal with an S rank dungeon despite that being his main duty for it. I also think it would have been cool to have a hunter who didnt do this just because of survival or fame, but because he was forced from it from the start, by pretty much everyone: the society, the assosiation, and even the ones who gave him the power. of course he likes the power and fame either way but he would give it all up (prob) if he could just go back again to having his peaceful life. His past could also show the social pressure hunters go through, especially those with more power who are in that line between idols for the people and tools for the goverment (or even their own guild) while also showing the years prior to Kamish and how that devastation had reshaped society as a whole.

For Thomas Andre I wish we could have seen more of his background as well, and his development to being humbled towards others that began to deserve it. I like it in the manhwa but I just wish there had been more to that, especially for him to respect others that werent just Jinwoo, Thomas and Laura. I would be quite interested in Laura's dynamic as well, how did she come to meet him and how did she come to be one of the closests people as well. we dont even know what her rank is, just that she is pretty competent at what she does, and honestly that surprises me a lot bc for most of the guilds that we have seen, the ones who have the most authority are those with more power, yet not once do we see Laura needing to use that, and thats fun. It would also be fun if she is just a non awakened one or a lower rank, since it would be funny to see her boss other S ranks around (or her having so many S rank guard dogs by her side becasue she is the best guildmate they could ask for!). Oh right this was about Thomas haha-- I also wished to see more wholesome moments with Norma, the side stories indicated that he had fond respect of those who save him and also him eating her cookies or doing gardening just heals my soul every time I look at it!

The healer, we know jack shit. Well, we know one thing, that they are a healer. I did make an OC of them once, as well as trying to pin down the possible location of what country they might haave been from : Russian or France where the options since they have been the countries that alo dealt and cleared an S rank raid. My thoughts would range a lot on how I wanted to present the S rank, especally since they are the ones who probably carried the whole ass team throughout the entire fight. Also them being a megalomaniac in the same way healers are in games would have been funny, in accoun to the fact that they would have the same rabid cannot be tamed energy as the rest of the heroes. I hope we get to see something of them one day, especially when Ragnarok comes back (FOUR DAYS AH)

I dont need to say much in account of Liu Zhigang being the most beloved nd most infuriating character becasue of his whole wasted potential. Well, absolutely right I would have love me for him to have been the actual strongest or have some cooler fighting techniques that didnt just rely on the pure strength like the rest of the other national ranks. I would have also loved to see him and his guildmates a lot more, since it was hinted that there was a lot of powerful hunters which china kept hidden from other countries. Also he really seemed to be a guy coming straight out of a martial arts movie so i am glad i wasnt the only one who thought of him growing all hi life to perfect certain martial arts styles.

Siddhart Bachchan is perfect as he is in the SLRagnarok I have nothing more to say of him or about him :3

chip - he always auditions and signs up for crew, its not really what he does that matters its that hes there (though he perfers being onstage) hes always been cast in bigger roles because hes really naturally charming and funny!! but when hes in the crew he does carps, and weather on cast or crew he helps paint whenever he can

jay - stange manger or head of costumes. easy. maybe she Was in costume but production kept asking her for help in her free time and was asked to be the stange manger. she takes her job very seriously and probably owns a stange manger shirt or hoodie

gillion - SOUND CREW! easy! hell listen to sound effects for hours picking the right ones and makes sure everyone mics are good and the cast loves him! he isnt head of sound but people have stared calling him "head of mics"

prime defenders

dakota- i dont think hed actually be in the show, but rather, the kid eveybody on the show knows. people around the school will always ask of hes in the show because hes friends with All of the cast and crew. director knows him and will sometimes let him stick around for rehearsals! and hes ALWAYS at the stage door lifting up his friends and spinning them around

william- lightning. nobody really knows him because hes always up at the spotlights bisides maybe sound crew to mess with lighting colors. theres only a few other poeple on lighting but that doesnt bother him because he likes to do things himself

vyncent- he signed up for crew and didnt pick a category? so it was kinda up to the crews where he went. most often hes at the props table making sure nobosy touches anything and making sure eveything is clear. when hes Not at the prop table hes a runner. "hey vyn, go grab the lead" "ooo vyncent do you think you can run up to sound and ask them about the effect there?" all that shit

ashe- he was only on one show but everybody loved him. he had a smaller role and he was super funny and made always the actors feel better! gave great pep talks and he was even invited to crew only events because of how well liked he was! they all wish he was in the show again

kian- obviously, the lead! he was the one all the newbies looked up to. he was a great actor and singer and he was really nice to eveyone even if he didnt really like them. when ever he was rehearsing in stage he was helping other with their lines and giving them advice

rolan- production! he made posters and walked all around town putting up signs and made sure to get people talking about the show. this is really were he really learned how to convise people of anything! when your convising the high school that that play nobodys ever hear of is actually good you can anvise anyone of anything. great in court

Insane that my mom ran the most popular patrick stump archival blog on tumblr + was a full time lawyer + was raising two mentally ill kids + doing culinary arts school + having a cookie business. I think its her autism i wont lie. But now its all catching up to her and she has no energy which would be the ehlers danlos fault this time.. tried to convince her to steal her old url back but on cohost so she made an account but couldnt immediately make side blogs but boy oh boy. she would be giving the fall out boy fandom what they want and more. But she doesnt know how to do her special interests in moderation. Im honestly just glad she went and accepted a bunch of access to her mega archive folder thingy. But shes so mad she doesnt have access to like her actual archive bc the website she used go archive everything changed their subscription plans and she has so many photos it would be like a zillion dollars she doesnt have 😭 like bogus i remember photo storing websites were so free. Take me back to 2010 for real :T Anyway she used to get so mortified when i told my friends as a teen about her blog i actually told her coworker once and her coworker somehow RETAINED the url and went home and looked at her blog and she was so upset at me 😭😭 but now like she kinda doesnt give a fuck anymore bc fall out boy was her special interest for an entire decade and she’s over it. Just found another werewolf story I thought was going good and about 10 chapters in, an Alpha who started to imprint on the protagonist decided to, instead of like, talking to her at all, or even letting her know he has any sort of feelings for her at all, especially since she is kind of an outcast and many avoid her and even he barely even talks to her, this guy decides to, just straight up, in front of the whole pack, suddenly step forward during the monthly claiming ceremony and just be like "oh yeah by the way I want her", just, hadn't even told her he likes her and is doing the equivalent of publicly proposing to her in front of the entire community (oh and before this he had pulled her in a dark closet and kissed her lowkey without her consent and never even told her it was him)

And this story has this stupid ass concept that I initially liked where, the wolf can imprint on someone and that can create a sort of mate bond, but like, it's presented as "this guy gets a crush on this girl, so the girl's wolf begins to like the guy even as the girl is kind of, doesn't care about him and the female wolf is constantly badgering the girl to give the guy attention even though the girl doesnt want to" so its also like, now the girl is having her thoughts and emotions influenced because an entirely separate person had a crush in her? That isn't fair? Why should she be literally brainwashed and forced to reciprocate just because HE likes HER? That isn't even love???

But it goes one step further because the human girl is rightfully saying "uh wow this is WAY too fast, I need time, i didnt even know you liked me dude, this is way too much all at once" and her wolf I shit you not says "don't you dare" and, takes over her body and publicly accepts the claim FOR her, and then they pass out, and the girl wakes up and she says "wait i didn't agree, that was my wolf, don't I get a choice?" And she's told NO, just straight up told NO YOU DON'T GET A CHOICE. And THEN the guy is all "since I'm an Alpha I HAVE to mark you TODAY otherwise my wolf will take over" so not only is she being forced into this relationship against her will but she has to be basically soul bound the exact same day and probably have to have sex? And this isn't acknowledged as like, a legit horror story plotline at all, the guy even tells her "you have no choice, just like I didn't have a choice in my wolf imprinting on you" and it's like dude that's worse, you didn't get a crush until something inside you decided that for you? Then you don't actually love her as far as I'm concerned?

But anyways I just really like, resent that a lot of these stories literally RIP any and all sort of choice and agency away from the female proganist and you can still just HEAR some of these authors going like "don't you just love your wish fulfillment girlboss story? Isnt it so #yasqueen?" And its like "ma'am the female protagonist is literally in a dungeon without food water or sunlight JUST because she refused to have sex with the abusive male love interest"

yeah, now that you explain it does make a bit more sense but it. just hurts because whereas they acknowledged yusuke blantantly lying about madarame stealing his work, they seem to just completely kind of ignore akechi's warnings and that doesnt even make sense to me.. they dont even really acknowledge it, all because they dont know who he's working for until the last minute, and that doesnt make sense to me at all. but ty for taking ur time to ramble: i actually do it myself a lot, and i have so many thoughts abt so many things that i'd like to explore more in depth but can't put in words myself .. i'd just wish theyd atleast acknowledge that akechi is being used the same way everyone else was instead of ignoring it, even if they still cant continue to aid him: it feels like they didnt try (to me), even with ryuji's ... hatred for him, i'd atleast think that ryuji would atleast try to acknowledge it and want to do something but being unable to instead of still being an ass, even if goro is one as well (and i think, speaking of mental illness, as someone with npd and aspd and avpd, goro has both symptoms of npd and aspd: futaba has symptoms of avpd, but thats a topic at a later time.) and i think goro's not truly being himself in 3rd sem when he's blunt and mean, that he's still constantly masking, as people with npd and or aspd do like myself, and he's tired of being nice on tv so he has to pull thin insults when in real life because as much as he masks, it gets annoying, and he (along with myself and many others) likely has low empathy and just thinks of others (especially those of ryuji's caliber, as much as i love ryuji and everyone else) as , well put, idiots, because they dont know as much as he does, and the fact that they know more than him in the metaverse has likely made him crash (his engine room was essentially an npd crash, i think), but them not knowing "basic information" (as my brain puts) likely gives him a narc high, which also leads to thinly veiled insults.. adding onto the npd goro akechi, i think akira is his ep (Equal Person-- people w/ npd hold them to high standards, higher than they hold for themselves, and expects them to challenge eachother-- essentially akechi's rivalry with akira.. in alternative, bpd akira tells me that akechi is his FP, but i can discuss that at a later time)

yeah, i absolutely get where you're coming from - although i think the statement "they're ignoring his warnings because they don't know who he's working for" has the flipside of "by the time those warnings are given, the thieves already know he's the black mask and is presumably being manipulated by someone, so he's not actually warning them about anything they don't already know"

but yeah, the only reason i don't think they should have reached out to him pre-engine room is that i don't know when in the story that would have been an option: their plan to find out who his boss was wouldn't have worked if they'd tipped him off to the fact that they knew he was the black mask, and after 11/20, he thinks Akira's dead, and i doubt he would gave listened to any of the others. i think Ryuji's treatment of him us also kind of a result of Ryuji's general main story characterisation - in game the vibe is very much that ryuji doesn't like him because he's popular and smarmy and talked shit about the thieves on live tv, rather than the fact that he's a murderer, but they don't let ryuji have complex takes on things in the story ever. now im thinking about their relationship in my palace au lmao. if i were to frame it in more. terms. idk. ryuji hates the detective prince. but akechi doesn't respect ryuji so ryuji has no reason to try harder

and on the npd/aspd front - I'm not super familiar with npd but i can absolutely see that (i think akechi has a bunch of obvious Mental Illness Symptoms that are common to a lot of things, which is why i think mentally ill bitches latch onto him no matter what's going on. people saying he has npd have always sounded right to me i think he's autistic also because -- well you heard what i said about unsympathetic symptoms of mental illness last time) but as someone who has some symptom overlap i think youre 100% right on stuff i know about. low empathy bitches rise up.

but yeah, i think a lot of stuff is kind of the result of the writers seeming constantly all over the place with him. i think it's especially bad in the section from 11/20 to the engine room, because while i think in royal there was some vision for who he was supposed to be, everything in vanilla is far more over the place, and in some cases vanilla's contradictory writing of him is made worse by its interactions with royal's akechi content. because 11/20 isn't designed to accommodate for the possibility that this guy could be your actual friend rather than a guy you've spoken to a few times turned tenuous ally turned traitor. i don't think akechi ever would have acted differently in a way that mattered, but the way the thieves talk about him is in line with his flatter villain characterisation in that period in vanilla. he's a terrible irredeemable evil person until just before he dies, and then he's a tragic victim to the point that in the shadow shido fight, they talk as if akechi wasn't responsible for any of his own actions, despite the fact that he was demonstrably doing it of his own free will. and then he dies and you're not supposed to care because he's a Bad Guy so they barely bring him up again in vanilla. all that rings a little strange with the royal stuff

anyway all this has got me thinking about the dynamics between akechi and the non-akira thieves. i should really keep writing my akira's palace fic
