Hello! I'm Sydney, it's a pleasure to meet you :) I started this account mainly to scroll & look around, but it seems to have been passed around school as a "good way to contact me"? Um. With my busy schedule, I don't post as much as I'd like to, but feel free to send a message!

I'm a library assistant & spend most of my time out-of-school either at the temple, or helping my father with his shop. Now I will be discussing the rules! If you have seen my other post the rules will be related back to here. However for one of the main rules I will be stating is about ghosting...

As much I don't want to rant about people ghosting, I would like to discuss it for this matter. If you're the type of person to ghost please DO NOT roleplay with me. I am so sick and tired of people making first good impressions of actually seemingly interested to roleplay with me and then they state after making a good plot with me saying "Give me ___ mins/hrs and I will be back." and they never come back and remove / block me for NO reason.

If you also have a busy schedule then don't roleplay with me too because I am looking for someone who actually wants to roleplay and not disappear for a while unless it's actually something valid.

In general please don't ghost because it actually kills the vibe of wanting to do roleplay and it really hurts in the feels when you get your hopes so high of having a good roleplay and your roleplay partner just dips.

For example if I am saying/doing something you don't like please state the issues instead of ghosting and removing me because it's really not nice at all.

Anyways that's enough of my rant! Here are the rules.

what made you pick up the muse you have? i wanted to try tumblr rp again (i had once in the past but i never stuck with it) and a friend convinced me it wasn’t so scary so i got to thinking well… who can i write and who do i kind of want to write? in my former rpc community, marvel was NOT a hot place… garbage fire actually, and if you were writing a canon it was even more of a dumpster fire. that being said, i really wanted to try my hand at peter parker, and i’d already been writing a lot for him outside of rp for fun. i used to have a little fic type thing that was ic/first pov and it brought me a lot of joy. liam was a test, more than anything. i’m surprised that they’re still a muse i write. they were an oc i made with a friend for fun and i thought why not give it a go and the love has just been so overwhelming that i can’t imagine a blog without liam and peter. they’re a package deal

is there anything you don’t like to write? probably just smut? i don’t think anything else comes to mind

is there anything you really enjoy writing? chaotic and nonsensical threads will always be some of my favorite. often it’s something i can write a lot quicker but also makes me think and try new things. i love when a thread makes me learn. i love learning so also any threads that open my eyes to something or broaden my knowledge about a subject. crossovers are really good for this because i get to explore new shows/movies or revisit loved ones.

how do you come up with your headcanons? something probably happened to me in the moment or i stared at a pinterest board or i heard it in a song

do you write in silence or do you play music? it takes a very specific kind of music to make me write. i either have to be so disinterested and unfamiliar with it or extremely familiar, like know all the words and the pacing. this has led to some embarrassing top five end of year songs

do you plan your replies or wing them? mostly i just wing it but if i get an idea for a future piece of dialogue or concept i will write it down in my notes

do you enjoy shipping? yes, but i don’t think it’s a must or priority! i love it if it happens or if you have any interest in it, but i’m not really always thinking about it

what’s your alias/name? birdie! i’ve had some mutuals call me bird too. i think it’s funny when people use the phrase “a little birdie told me” and i love to see posts with it and laugh to myself about it.

favorite color? red, but i’m not sure what shade

I’ve been through quite the journey in the RP community - all my characters have been through various blogs since 2012, and maintaining the OG four while adding to my roster has been part of that journey.

However, coming back after leaving the RP comm in 2018 was extremely daunting and took a couple tries, but I think this is the one that really stuck. Reflecting back not just on the character progress I’ve had, but the place I’m at now with them and seeing people’s genuine interest in them and their story fills my heart so greatly. I’m forever thankful to all of you to this day, for sticking through the hiatuses and the fluctuation of activity and still wanting to write and interact with not just my OCs (and now Thor!) but with me!

Experience/how long (months/years?): I've been roleplaying on and off for 10+ years !

Best experience: I have met so many amazing people on this blog , but honestly if I had to pick a best experience ? It would absolutely meeting Softie (@seekslight) I tell them quite often that they are the big reason why I even comitted to this blog ; I'm so glad I made that decision because it has allowed me to meet so many other amazing people here ( *gestures to all the lovlies tagged in my promo post* ) . This is honestly the best community I have been in roleplay wise and I hope to never leave !

RP pet peeves/dealbreakers: I have two really big ones . . . the first ? Communication . It is so frustrating when there just isn't a proper chain of communication between a writing partner and I , like I don't expect us to be the best of buds and hanging out every single day . . . however , at least put the effort in ! I lose muse for something INCREDIBLY fast when it just seems like you don't care , or I have to do the heavy lifting when it comes to story crafting . Just communicate ! Talk to me ! I swear I am super nice and understanding !

The other big peeve of mine is what I call "lore thumping" (play on bible thumping) ! I understand wanting to stay in the relative lines of canon-compliancy . . . otherwise we are basically just doing OCs ! However , the truth of it all is we are all canon-divergent . . . that's just the nature of RP . It's really discouraging and really unappealing if an idea is proposed and the response is " well in CANON . . . " . Just stop there , it's clear to me you aren't interested in the beauty of RP which is artistic expression and individuality .

Muse preference (fluff, angst or smut?): Fluff and Romance ! ezzie is a really big softie and like a puppy dog , so his favorite interactions are those that are cute and shippy !

Plots or memes: Plotting is the easiest and most effective way ! Memes are great too though don't get me wrong .

Long or short replies: I never expect my partners to match my length ! However I would at least say put effort ? Like if I write 5 or 6 paragraphs and you reply with 1 paragraph ? That doesn't scream to me like there is actual interest . We're telling a story ! You can't really tell an effective story in one paragraph or less !

Best time to write: Whenever I am not grinding at my job or deep in the clutches of sleep !

Are you like your muse: Me and ezreal are a lot a like in both the positive and negative lights ; he's a fun loving , hopeless romantic , puppy dog like me . . . but also like me , he suffers from a lot of self confidence issues . Friendly reminder that if you're going to reblog an ask meme from someone, you should send an ask first! Or, if you REALLY don't want to interact in the RP community, reblog it from the source! It feels pretty bad to have someone come by just to take from you, when you're trying to make connections! (Plus, that's just the etiquette here: reblog karma!)

Also! Many folks have some rules, or requests at the top of their blog page - and having had someone freak out at me recently in DMs and insist she shouldn't have to read the info of every person she follows? No. You do. You should. I specifically, in fact, only really have one request of followers: to not use me as a resource blog (i.e. simply taking my OC's aesthetic posts and RP ask meme posts without interacting with me/my OC at all.) I do share some resource posts now and then! Those are rather obvious, however, and I don't mind those being shared - I want to help! But part of why I left, in fact, and am only recently back from hiatus- was that I was at a point where no one interacted and would only come by to take from my blog for themselves! It feels real bad to feel like people don't care about your creativity or the fact that you're really trying to meet people and RP... they just want the aesthetic and asks.

So be kind to your fellow RPers! Think about how the way you're interacting might make the real human being on the other side of the computer feel. And practice good reblog karma!

omfg ok so i'll give you the context for how i made him first because the WHY behind why he ended up this way is like. integral to his character. so i run a roleplay blog and i like super recently just re-separated my baccano characters from every other fandom, right? and i wanted to make a carrd for my new blog dedicated to my baccano muses, so i thought it'd be a fun gimmick to theme the front page after the daily days. but then the gimmick carried over, and i decided that on every individual page for each character, instead of JUST writing down their stats, i'd stage like an in character interview with whoever i was currently working on a bio for

you might think, oh, so your baccano! oc is the interviewer? but you'd be wrong. the interviewer is the president of the daily days (who i don't even rp on that blog by the way). my oc is the person transcribing the interviews. see for this gimmick i needed a way for the characters to be able to lie, but for the people who didn't have context or maybe just have autism like me to be able to KNOW they were lying. so bam. the transcriber is basically a human lie detector.

his name is lee kingfisher, he's worked for the daily days since he was a teen as a journalist and gopher but he was recently promoted to the position of transcriber because he was one of the few people who knew shorthand that already worked in the office, so now he transcribes the meetings between the infobrokers and things like interviews for the actual newspaper.

nobody except the president actually knows about his ability to detect lies but he has like a 100% success rate with it. it's not like a supernatural thing, i would liken it to the old woman's sixth sense for bad things happening except with lying instead.

experience in RP — As of this...er, season, I'll have been roleplaying off and on for the past 24 years. I started roleplaying in autumn 1999 (my middle school RP days were indeed something). Should I have a celebration for when I hit a quarter century of roleplaying experience? Quarter life crisis?

best experiences — I don't want to boil the best experiences down to specific muses/muns/storylines, but the best way I can describe them are these: when I first started roleplaying, it was in the fandom written by the Wizard Lady and roleplaying on AOL/Yahoo/LiveJournal was just so new. There were no real expectations or rules to follow, and while there was plenty of godmodding and things that didn't make sense, it was just ridiculous fun. The second would be every time I'm able to make a friend in the mun I'm writing with and we've got giant plotlines going with all sorts of scenes and situations that allow the muses to grow and develop over time. That is truly the best part of RP for me now.

pet peeves / dealbreakers — I have a few, including but not limited to: super small text, multiple spaces between words for aesthetics (it's hard to read for me!), one-liners/single paragraph replies that aren't dashcomm or crack, uncut threads, giant icons/gifs/Danganronpa sprites, not tagging posts (but especially OOC, aesthetics, and smut), constantly dropped threads while asking for more starters/memes (hiatuses aside), no bios or muse information beyond a name/fandom (for both canon and OC muses), and instant shipping (or after 1-2 threads/interactions. It's not for me).

muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — Yes! To all three. My favorite interactions have some fluff, humor, and/or soft situations when the angst gets too angsty, and some angst or conflict when the muses get too settled in and content in the lives. Generally, my least favorite thing to write is action/combat scenes, most fantasy (urban fantasy might be the exception but high fantasy stuff? Not my thing to write), and sci-fi plots. I do write smut and I enjoy writing smut, but I like it in the context of a larger storyline and with a bigger purpose beyond just the muses having sex. It's why you'll never see smut starters on this blog and why, if I'm going to write smut with a mun, I've probably plotted with them about it first.

plot or memes — Plots and memes if I'm unfamiliar with your muse, which is highly likely for anime/video game/comic muses, and anything 'recent' in the past 10-15 years. But I'm fine with just memes if I'm familiar with the fandom/muse or we have past interactions I can build off of. But in general I'm a fan of plotting.

long or short replies — Long replies nowadays, always. Mostly because one-liners and short paragraph replies just aren't fun for me: I feel most creative and enjoy roleplaying more with long replies at this point. And I'm reluctant to spend time writing anything for fun if I'm not having a good time doing it: and short replies, beyond crack or dashcomm, are just not a good time for me.

best time to write — Downtime in the mid-afternoon at work, middle of the evening on workdays (after a rest and dinner), and mid-afternoon until the wee hours of the morning on weekends/days off. Late nights and between breakfast and lunch are just no good for me, writing-wise.

are you like your muse — Unfortunately I am not blonde, European, royalty, conventionally beautiful, and constantly full of optimism. However, I enjoy horror movies (Sonia knows more than I do), chocolate, tea, and much of Sonia's fashion inspiration here because I saw her in DR2 and was just 'classic styles with feminine touches? ballgowns? it's my closet.' I'd be her snarky, pessimistic best friend unable to stop with the quips while telling her 'Sonia bb let me teach you how to make toast it does not involve buttering it before it goes in the toaster.'

-Hello everyone this is completely random but I wanted to say hello and introduce myself to the new people that followed me since I never actually got around to doing it, so...

Hello my name is Ace, I am 28 years old, non-binary but you can call me whatever makes you most comfortable. I used to be touchy about it but I've grown out of that.

I've been roleplaying since 2006 and I enjoy meeting new people to rp with. I may be shy at first but I try approaching others and half the time I worry I annoy people so I try to limit my interactions with others so I don't become a bother but that's just my brain being the bully it is.

I am always open to rp whether it be through an ask, plotting, or any openers ( which anyone is free to interact with should I make any again). I welcome OCs as well! I love seeing and hearing about people's OCs they're always fun to get to know. If you rp a cannon character I won't gatekeep how you should rp them, hell I don't even rp my babies 100% cannon and that's cause I interpret how they act. It makes it more fun and unique but I understand some people don't like that.

Overall I just like to have fun so I never really tolerate hate being thrown around or sent in asks ( anon or not), that is the only time I would ever block anyone.

I have absolutely 0 triggers when it comes to topics in rps, but if you do please dm me and I will tag them for you. I can't help make you feel comfortable if you don't tell me what your triggers are and believe me I want you all to feel as comfortable as possible I never want to make any of you feel uncomfortable.

If I write my character angry with yours please know that it's not directed at you. I love you all I truly do, doesn't matter if I don't know you personally, I love you. I've seen it so many times where people take what my characters say personally so please...it is not directed at you, I am actually very docile, loving, and scared of making others mad.

-Jett's Voice Cannon is Jschlatt(but raspy)

-it has undiagnosed Autism, PTSD, and Psychopathy but has diagnosed Pyromania

-It's vision Isint the worst but it has a hard time reading tiny print. It refuses to wear or get glasses.

-Jett has romantical feelings twords Red Engi (I like ocxcannon and TexanToast so why not make a oc into both those things)

-Jett makes his own wepons and uses whatever it can find as a wepon.

-Jett owns a pocket partner but is suspicious about if it's haunted. (PocketPartner is haunted)

-Jett is terrified of Blu Medic and Blu Soldier (I have headcannon/Oc version of them that I may use on this blog. Also other tf2 ocs may make an appearance)
