“Can you explain to me why we’re driving and not flying?” Hallie asked from the passenger seat of the Audi.

“Because we’re taking a road trip and that’s more fun.”

It was a pouring.

Not just rain showering pouring, but actual buckets of rain were being dumped down so hard it was getting difficult to see. There was hardly any cars on the road as they made their way to a weekend getaway, just the two of them. He needed a break from Calgary and couldn’t wait to spend some time together just them, which was something he could never get enough of.

She glanced out the front window at the sky, a swirling mix of grey and blue and frowned.

“This weather sucks. Hopefully you didn’t have any outdoor activities planned for this weekend.”

“If I’m being honest I wasn’t really planning on us leaving the bed let alone outdoor stuff.”

Her mouth fell open and her face got red “Matthew!”

“Oh don’t Matthew me. We have three days of undisturbed free time. No hockey, no friends showing up unannounced, no stalkers.” He said with a smile.

She rolled her eyes “Ha Ha very funny. I guess it’ll be nice to spend some time together just us.”

“Preferably with minimal or no clothing on.” He glanced at her sideways “Just throwing that out there.”

She opened her mouth to respond but the car gave a large lurch and then a loud squeal.

“What the hell-“ the oil light pinged on the dash, blinking at him.

“Oh come on.” He moaned, steering the car to the side of the road as it sputtered and stalled.

“What’s wrong?”

“The car is broken.”

“What do you mean the cars broken?” Hallie asked leaning over to see the blinking light.

“I mean we have no oil. No oil no drive. Fuck.” He shook his head and popped the hood.

“Where are you going? You don’t know anything about cars. And I don’t really think this is the kind of place you wanna stop and get out at.” She trailed off looking around.

It was true. The rain and fog made the area they were in look like a scene from a horror film. It was poorly lit and desolate, with nothing to be seen for miles.

“What are you scared?”

“Hey I’m not the one who’s gonna get murdered. This scene happens in every horror movie ever made, and if you get out, their going to make one about you in 5 years.”

He stared at her for a full 5 seconds before he shook his head “You've been watching too much true crime.”

The rain had slowed a little now as he hoisted the hood up and ducked underneath it. Hallie was right, he didn’t know anything about cars, but in an effort to see if maybe things were wrong, he checked the oil.

It wasn’t.

With a sigh he pulled out his phone to call AAA and came around the side of the car to open Hallie’s door.

“Hey Hal I’m gonna call-“

But she wasn’t there.

He felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up as he looked at her empty seat.

“Hallie? Hallie!-“ he whipped around in alarm as she jumped out from behind the hood and screamed.

“Jesus fuck!” He yelled grabbing at his heart. It was pounding out of his chest and he let out a long breath as she started laughing maniacally.

“Ahhhhhh I got you!” She said grinning as she pulled her hood up and walked past him to get in the car.

“Don’t ever scare me like that again.” He grumbled as he got back in, pulling the door shut and frowning at her.

“Oh come on it was funny.” She said still giggling.

“Yeah it would have been if you hadn’t had an actual stalker.”

“Okay okay.” she said rolling her eyes “I’m sorry for scaring you.”

“How sorry?”

“Do you want me to tell you or show you?”

He looked at the ceiling in thought “How about both?”

She smiled and leaned forward to kiss him but stopped just short of his mouth and looked at him “Does your team know you scream like a girl?”

“That’s it. I’ll show you a scream.”

Okay okay okay so! Starting out with basic pred/prey headcannons cause it’s been a while since I established them lmao. Davey is a pred through and through for sure. Is he happy about that? Eh, he’s got mixed feelings on it, but the guys don’t mind so he’s coming to terms with it. Still, he prefers keeping his pred identity on the down-low and doesn’t want more than just his friends knowing. Heck it took him forever to tell Jack, let alone the rest of the guys. I also see him being a shifter just cause I’m a sucker for shifter aus lol. He can get pretty big, but again, prefers not to

Jack is a goofy prey leaning switch and you cannot change my mind on this. That’s not to say he loves being eaten, but it just kinda happens since he’s friends with Davey. Sometimes though he’ll actively seek out being eaten since a stomach is far softer and warmer than his bunk could ever be. He isn’t against eating people either in all honesty, with the most common being Crutchie and Kathryn (or Sarah depending on if we’re working with movie or Broadway characters). He’s a terrible tease no matter what role you put him in though and can’t keep his hands to himself.

Crutchie is a sweetheart and definite prey all the way. He’s got pretty much no fear of being eaten and is probably the one who spends the most time inside of Davey, simply because the two get along well and enjoy just hanging out and chatting. He also enjoys spending the night inside because the softness and heat tend to keep his leg from aching too badly. Still, he’s impossible to eat if he doesn’t wanna go down so attempt to eat him unwillingly at your own risk.

As for the rest of the guys, they’re mostly prey leans with the exception of a few like Race or Henry, and any time the weather gets too cold or wet you can bet they’re lined up and begging Davey or Jack for some inside time. Usually Davey since he’s got a bigger capacity than Jack.

girl i just have to gush on you for how amazing ch. 20 of closer was. idk what switch flipped in joel’s brain during the night between ch. 19 and 20 but i am SO glad that this man is finally admitting his mistakes and actively trying to win her back.

the way they were texting each other this chapter, slowly building their relationship back up? i smiled every time reader did, like dammit i am falling for joel again too. you perfectly captured what it is like to be in that stage with an ex, where there’s still a lot of shit to unpack but right now you’re just taking it slow. it feels like having a crush again, waiting for their messages and getting excited when they call. i 1000% got that feeling reading this chapter and i loved every second of it.

i also am soooo proud of reader for not immediately taking him back, even though she wants to. i know joel is really trying but he hurt her sooo bad and he needs to really show her he’s all in this time before she gives in to him again. i love how you showed her struggle between missing him & seeing that he’s trying but also remembering how it felt when he left and wanting to protect herself. the phone sex with the guilt afterwards was soooo real, also so hot, i was obsessed with that part hahaha.

lastly i just want to say that i LOVE the way you have written joel in this arc of the story. i read a lot of fic where joel is an asshole and hurts reader in some way and tbh i feel like i am never satisfied with the way they end up getting back together. i love how you have made joel actually apologize and put in the work (for weeks!!) of trying to win her back and actually grovel a little. it will be so satisfying when they finally are back together bc we’ve had so much build up now.

OH WAIT sorry one more thing — i almost forgot about the letter in ch. 19!!! are they gonna talk about it at all? i hope they do, i was about ready to cry along with her when she read it 😭

anyways i’m sorry this was so long, but this story is so amazing and the last chapter especially was so good. i can’t wait to read the rest of it!! love you! 🫶🏻💕✨💖

Wrestle Kingdom 17 Quick Thoughts

So it's January which means Wrestle Kingdom day, singular this time though having strangely swapped mentality with WWE on forgoing a 2-Day main PPV

Nevertheless, we'll see what the show has to offer, I'm not gonna go in full depth like previous ones, just general thoughts I had during the show

Spoilers for those who didn't wanna know

I must admit I hate the KOPW Ranbo, it often just feels like the 'this is all the talent we don't have anything for right now' rumble and then you have to watch the likes of KENTA, Cobb, Great O Khan, Shingo Takagi, Ishii fight for it. There's some bright spots for comedy like ELP eliminating someone via a nipple cripple but overall it is something I could do without

Junior Tag Title was fun, but I probably would not have had the opener with cheering officially back end in a heel win via roll-up

I am also fuming that NJPW only gave KAIRI and Tam 6 minutes, sure there'd be aftermath but given how past Exhibition and Dark matches for Stardom went longer it's a huge disservice that the first Title Match (for the IWGP Women's Championship made to establish a stronger relation between Stardom and NJPW) is also Stardom's shortest entry in Wrestle Kingdom

Mercedes had a great look side for the fire hair which looked weird at angles, honestly I think her debut could've been done better; she was geared up but didn't wrestle, she botched that Gory Special/DDT move (which through experience watching the Tay-KO from Tay Melo is not easy to synchronize anyway) and her promo was a tad on the basic side, not bad but below expectation

FTR losing already felt like writing on the wall given how they dropped the ROH and AAA tag titles already, it was a decent match and Bishamon are a great tag team but we could've gone with a more refreshing choice, shame to hear that FTR had travel issues too

I will say though that dropping their titles is not 'clear indication' that they're going to WWE, they've had a busy as hell year so now they can rest up, Dax has noted that he's closer to the end of his career than the middle so they may prefer a lighter schedule, I've said it before but just because Triple H is doing okay in WWE does not mean every ex-WWE member is frothing to come back

ZSJ won the gingerbread biscuit title to nobody's surprise, but him replacing JONAH in TMDK is a strong choice

Makes me wonder who else will join now that Suzuki-Gun is no more, Archer and Despy are TMDK material but I could also see them in Bullet Club, a huge curveball would be Despy to LIJ

I actually really liked the Muta six-man, it had a good pace and showcase which still allowed Mutoh to shine, but in the end they used it to put over the younger talent by having Shooter get the pin

LIJ vs Kongoh has the potential to slap hard again, I did panic when they were saying 'backstage altercation' that there would be some shoot activity going on, flashbacks of All Out had me worried

I like Hiromu, but this win really started to grind on the 'nothing changes' critique I get every time I watch WK; the title always makes its way back to him, we did well to get people behind Master Wato and his Crucifix Hip Toss thing is actually pretty cool, but again we do need fresher faces in the title picture

Kenny out with the Sephiroth gear was cool but then Ospreay whipped out Elevated just when I was thinking 'I miss Will's old theme'

To nobody's surprise, the match was among the best, probably the best, it did start out like an Omega showcase but after the table spot it came to life, the ending was great as well; Ospreay bloody and defiant and Kenny using an absolutely brutal Kamigoye and OWA to win

You're best to bet on Death Triangle winning the best of 7 in AEW now that Kenny's US champion

*sigh* Okada's great we get it but god damn why does it always end with Okada winning? Jay's great too you know? Honestly I think Gedo needs help. Shingo challenges next but we all know this won't really end well for him.

It just never changes, I can go back to WK11 - when the era of the Rainmaker had its last WK defense before losing to Kenny at Dominion - and since then Okada had only lost twice at Wrestle Kingdom, and that was WK13 to Jay, right on the end of his red dye balloon phase, and WK14's Double Gold Dash - where he had beaten Ibushi for the world title on Day 1 just to lose correctly to Naito on Day 2.

It goes deeper too; since WK11 Hiromu has been in 6 out of 7 Junior Heavyweight title matches, he's only lost twice (to Despy at 16 and Ospreay at 12). Bishamon are 2 for 2 in winning the tag titles at WK having beaten Dangerous Tekkers last year, you have to go back to WK13 for Ospreay's last singles win (at least this time the United Empire wasn't swept this time), WK14 since Jay's last win (and it was a consolation win since he lost the IC title in the Double Gold Dash). Even just comparing to WK16 there are similarities in booking.

A lot of the time I watch Wrestle Kingdom and compare where wrestlers are now compared to last year, and each time I find that the ones I liked last year fall down while the ones who can take losses to put people over remain on top, of course there are exceptions - Master Wato and Shota Umino for instance - but most of the time it ends this way

The show was okay, I feel like a lot of things could've been better, if they did 2 days they'd have had more time for other things as well

+ hmm i suggest investing in some support cards !! i recommend buying cards like liben, katheryne, paimon, and the jade chamber !! theyre good for all around situations especially when ur elemental dice rolls into something that doesnt match ur active character card !! try getting a healer card like barbara or diona, n one of the best reactions r swirl and electro-charged since it affects the other cards on standby too so u can save some of ur dice n turns. good luck on tcg !! i hope we can play it tgt next time hihi AND I FORGOT TO WISH U THE BEST ON UR FINALS OMG ... im rooting for u, ava <33

OKAY ,, don’t take this as a sob story LOL

Chronic pain for most people (including me) is basically where you experience pain on a day to day basis, 24/7. There isn’t a time where you’re not in pain, but sometimes you get flair-ups that can happen from too much exercise, too little exercise, lights, activity, and really just anything. Or nothing at all. And they’re really painful, obviously!

Everyone experiences it differently but I personally get an intense burning sensation in my joints, including my wrists, elbows, neck, back, knees, and ankles. It can feel similar to being bitten by a dog, or like your bones are sloooowly being twisted. These flair-ups can last for minutes, hours or even days. Mostly they can’t be remedied but I personally get some relief by ice/a cool environment.

Maybe for the vore aspect it could be a very pillow-y stomach with a cooler feeling but warm skin if that makes sense ,, Again tysm AAA

hello 2024!!! goodbye (and good riddance) 2023!!!

2023 was... not the kindest year to me. I struggled a lot (like. A LOT) with grad school, had trouble taking care of myself (thanks depression), had to deal with some very unpleasant people, and had a lot of health issues in my family. overall, not a fun time!

but in the spirit of moving forward and not being overly pessimistic, i have to admit there are good things that happened in 2023 as well. at the end of the year it was decided i could move on with my phd project as i wanted to (a miracle!!). i got to go to my first ever out-of-state conference, which took me to the west coast for the first time! 2024 was also the first time i had consistently been going to the gym for about a month (i stopped but. it happened!!) i had a lot of laughs with mariel (ty for introducing me to detco 🙏 and thank you for indulging the gamer in me) 💕💕💕 i got to meet a lot of wonderful people and now i actually have friends i get to? play games with? just like i always wanted? at the end of the year i also found a vtuber i've really been vibing with and he's in line with one of my main goals for 2024: living more purposefully

i'm really stressed as the beginning of the semester is almost here (5 days ough.) but i wanna end this post by focusing on some goals for this year!! like i said, i want to live more purposefully and true to myself this year. this means engaging with things more deeply and focusing my efforts on what i truly like (clothes, media, hobbies, etc). i wanna make grand strides in my academic work but also in my personal life! i wanna become more active this year, start cooking more, make sure to read more, use my notion.... i wanna create! i need to get back into needle felting and i started a csp trial yesterday so i'm gonna give art a try too! a big big biiiig goal for me is to finally set up my neocities too >< i got some ideas for what i'd like to do with it brewing in my head hehe

and that's it for now i think!! i want to make public journal entries like this frequently because some of the coolest people i know online do it and honestly? it's fun!!! ✌️

yayy first study blog let's go! school hasn't started yet for me but as it's my exam year with mocks coming i wanna start it off strong, i have plans later so i want to get as much work done as possible by the end of the afternoon (2pm) (if i can't then i add the work i didn't complete to tomorrow's study day!)

so my plan for today (planning is important!):

-work on business textbook

-do blurting for unit 3 business and do exam practise

-try to get colouring it done for art coursework (hoping to get the final piece done by the end of this week)

-continue blurting for biology cordination chapter, do exam questions for previous studied chapters and this one!

^get all this done before my maths lesson

time tracking:

-5-6am started off in the morning with eating breakfast and a cup of tea! then i did a bit of art coursework

-felt kinda unproductive so i decided to take a break

-7:15am- 25-30 minutes session: continued working on getting ahead of business class. i managed to almost complete the whole course during this summer (i have 7 pages left in my workbook but i get it done before school starts) that means i can use my lessons for revision of the subject, i can do a lot of active recall and exam practise!

-i then did some art coursework, felt quite low energised but then decided to do skin care- felt unwell and hungry so decided to eat a banana + relax

-10am- 30 minutes session: YAY I FELT BETTER SO i then did biology blurting, this topic is quite difficult so i watched a video by save my exams to help me! i am definitely revising this again tomorrow. I did look at the exam questions for previously studied chapters, I am quite keen with it but this chapter not.

10:50am- going through chapter 3 recap

12pm (quite early)- ate lunch!

after: i did art coursework!! aaa using colouring pencils take ages

2:30pm- 1 hour and 30 minutes maths lesson with tutor: going through past papers and vectors (i hate vectors so much aa)

reflection: i definitely could have done more today as i didn't get everything i wanted BUT i didn't feel my best today, so i can make tomorrow better! last week ago i started implementing active recall by using a google sheet and it has been going rlly well and i have not forgot anything :) if u all ever want the link let me know
