I really love the headcanon that, to tfa warbuilds, challenging an authority figure can also be seen as flirting.

I especially love to imagine Optimus' crew having to temporarily team up with Megatron to take down a threat, and as the leaders continue to butt heads over tactics/protocol, all the 'Bots are like "omg so scary poor Optimus 😣" while the 'Cons are like "omg get a room already 🙄"

after doing a literature review of 13's book era, i conclude: what the fuck?? what the fuck????? what do you mean only 3 official BBC line books, At Childhood's End, 2 anthologies and then whatever Doctor of Oz is. And like. That's it. Those are the novels. From 2018 to 2022 those are the 13th Doctor novels, compared to 10 and 11 whole dozens of novels, 12s 3 novels per season and a supplemental heaping of audios (and probably some other anthologies and such I don't know about) 13 gets 4 novels and 2 anthologies. 6 books (7 if you count Doctor of Oz which I kinda do but it's part of a weird line) for 3 seasons, 4 years of being the Doctor, I just...

genuinely do not get the point of replying to someone's gifset with 'I hate these characters. I stopped watching after they were introduced.' sorry you feel that way, but I don't actually give a shit. now get off my fucking post.

okeydoke as I have not had much energy for working on stuff lately (but lots of motivation) I'm not gonna do proper NaNo with a wordcount or anything, BUT I am gonna make it a goal to get some amount of work done on a writing project every day (at least until I go away on the 24th). Aside from that, I've been poking at more non-blaseball stuff, which is a good excuse for me to plug my writing blog @cyndakip! All my fics get posted there, so if you're interested in my writing beyond just blaseball (especially if you like pokemon), I recommend following me there, since I don't post non-blaseball fics here.

#I'm in a weird place rn where the end of blb is coinciding with me finally feeling ready to get back to nuzlockes #and I very much want to keep writing blb fics! it's just complicated by me getting smacked over the head with pokemon motivation #and separate from that I think it's just been hard for me to work on blb fics knowing that it's over #writing the ending fic in particular means confronting that. and I definitely haven't fully processed it yet and idk when I will #I really truly do want to keep writing blb fics for a long time but I worry there will be not much of an audience anymore #and I know that doesn't matter. I'm gonna write what I want and I know some people will still read it. but yknow. it's rough #also my relationship with pokemon and the nuzlocke community has been really fucking complicated these past few years #to the point where I stopped engaging altogether bc it was stressing me out too much and I had lost all confidence in my writing #this happened to be right before I got into blb. which came along at the perfect time and gave me the community & confidence boost I needed #now it kinda feels like we've come full circle. blb has changed me and now I'm ready to go back with a whole new attitude #I just don't want these two things to be mutually exclusive! I want both! but that's easier said than done #especially bc I haven't had enough energy to work on much of either lately! I want to say things are getting better on that front but #it's complicated. you know how it is with human bodies. treacherous things #the thing is I don't want to waste this. today i dreamt that my i found my hamster now, a year later, and that she was somehow still alive and absolutely thriving on her own

#she'd bitten a hole in her enclosure to get food #she'd be three years old at this point i have a hard time imagining her #being very energetic lmao #i've been thinking about getting a new hamster but #them having such short lifespans was way harder to deal with than i thought #like she reached like 1 and 1.5 and all i could think about was that she could die at any moment #she didn't die unexpectedly though which like. doesn't sound good lmao but #my siblings' two hamsters died very suddenly of illnesses and they both died at the vet #but my hamster probably just kind of died of old age tbh #she was 2 years old and she'd been visibly aging #i don't think she was suffering too much the weeks before though she was just less mobile #i literally hate how people joke about hamsters never dying in normal ways because like.#we've had three hamsters and they've died of illness. and of age #because we actually TOOK CARE OF THEM #i refuse to believe that even half of the hamsters that have died under abnormal circumstances #didn't die because the human taking care of them did so pretty poorly #i mean hamsters are really fragile escape artists so i get that #sometimes things just happen right but............
