Demo + Sniper: The Cryptid Discussion

Sniper didn't like the cold. But it was simply one of these nights. The wind blew cold air that invaded his van and the road outside was freezing. He hated these nights, cold and alone, desperately holding onto a far-too-thin blanket for any semblance of warmth.

But tonight was bound to be different. To Mundy's surprise the Scotts Man, Tavish had decided to come on by, probably looking for his drinking buddy for the night. The tall man came in , closing the door quickly but carefully as to not damage the two bottles of whiskey he was holding, one in each hand.

"Nice place ye got here, the cobwebs are a nice touch." Said Tavish as he made himself at home, sitting down on Sniper's table. To his dismay it appears his drinking buddy seemed tense, paying little mind to the Scotts man.

"What's up Mundy? Not in a talkative mood are ye? C'mon sit down lad, I got a story to tell ye." He insisted, gesturing to the seat beside him. Mundy did as he was told which Demo took as a signal to start his story.

"Well ye see, I reunited with an old friend recently, I was visiting me mum and I decided to go out with some lads I hadn't seen for a minute, the lot of us went out to get pissed (drunk) and next thing we know we're out on some dock, so I open me eyes to take a look around and you'll never guess what I saw! There's freaking Morag out in the water!"

"Morag?" Sniper asked clearly confused

"Ye know dirty dark brown skin, long neck, serpentine head, 20 feet long, Morag!" He said looking almost baffled at Sniper's ignorance

"Wait, is that some kind of cryptid you have over in Scotland?" Sniper tried to clarify

"Aye, I guess it makes sense ye wouldn't know 'im. I've seen 'im before, back when I had both me eyes, I was a wee (young) lad back then tho. In me paw's (father's) boat, the damn thing swam around us like it was gonna attack us! Gave me a bloody heart attack! Almost peed meself!" Demo joked

"Ye know I understand if ye don't believe me or think I was just a wee lad or drunk. Most people think I'm full of it." Demo said, looking down at his whisky, appearing a bit ashamed to have said his story aloud.

"Don't worry I believe ya mate. I... I've had my own fair share of... Bizarre experiences." Mundy said tensing up a bit.

"I used to go hunting with my ma when I was younger but one time I decided to go out alone, ya see in Australia there is the myth of the Yowie. You see it's said that out in the Australian wilderness there is a large hairy dumb bipedal creature, kinda like bigfoot. A big but harmless cryptid, a gentle giant but I know the truth. It ain't stupid and it sure as shit ain't peaceful."

The pain in Sniper's voice was evident but Demoman knew Mundy had difficulties talking about things like these, maybe if it was later in the night or maybe if the pair was drunker they could talk about it but not now, not like this.

"Ye know, Morag ain't the only spook I've come across." Demo joked, receiving a hesitant chuckle from Sniper.

"Ya seen any other creepy critters?"

"Have ye heard of the Alien Big Cats?" Demoman asked playfully

"Spooky motherfuckers, black cats the size of cows! They killed me mum's sheep." Demo proclaimed proudly

"You sure it wasn't a wolf or hell even a panther?" Asked sniper

"Panther? In Scotland? Ha! Don't make me laugh lad, these spooks ain't no panther and they sure as hell ain't no wolf. I've seen 'em stalking their prey with their biddy yellow little eyes... They attacked me friend Jean!"

"Ah is she alright?"

"Nah she died, it was cancer tho not them damn cats. She fought 'em off! Hit 'em with her cane! They didn't know who they were messin with!"

"I'm sorry for your loss mate." Sniper said awkwardly, not really knowing how to console someone.

"Is alright lad, Jean was a strong lady, fought it to the very end, those damn cats never stood a chance! Attacking a woman with a cane! Those damn felines!" Demo joked

"Hehe, damn cats. Ya know me and my dad got attacked by a cryptid once. The two of us were returning home from the cinema when a damn 6ft tall lizard came at us! We had to hole up in a damn public loo (toilet)! Waiting for that thing to get bored and leave!" Sniper explained

"That's not a cryptid, that's a damn Komodo Dragon!" Demo complained

"Says the guy who lost sheep to a glorified bobcat!" Sniper responded angrily

"I told ye already it ain't no bobcat, it's an alien!"

"Bollocks! What, these animals build their own spaceship to travel to earth? To do what exactly? Eat some sheep and get beaten up with canes?" Mundy argued

Demo looked away shyly, failing to come up with a witty comeback or an intelligent argument. Sniper had to admit it, it made him ashamed to hurt his friend, even if his friend started it. He didn't mean to put Demo in a difficult position.

"Ya know, I was young when the lizard attacked us. My dad probably told me it was the Megalavia to make me feel better, it was probably a croc or something." Sniper said, trying to improve his friend's mood.

"I thought these only existed in Florida." Demo joked

"Maybe they're an old-wives tale. A myth." Sniper said, a sly smile on his face, showing off his crooked teeth

"Ha! that'd explain how big these bastards get! Toothy fucks!"

"You're a good sport, mate."

Who are the monkees?

(Sorry I don’t get this question very often)

Anyways, allow me to introduce you to The Monkees

They were a 60s rock band with a TV show(like the Aquabats). Originally created to make money and sell records but after a rebellion from their music producer, they truly(at least in my eyes) became a true band. Unfortunately a lot of factors caused the bands decline in popularity and their dissolvement. They did get back together in the 80’s and 90’s with a little surge in popularity, and thoughout the 2000s and 2010s they continued to tour. Currently the last remaining Monkee(Micky) is doing shows to honor the band these years.(this is definitely a cliff notes version bc(well I kinda lost my Monkee Autism for MCR autism and there’s no way I can fit the entire story into a single post, we can keep talking about this through dm through)

Now for the members. This group consists of four members. Davy, Micky, Peter, and Mike

Here’s a photo

The first member is Davy Jones.(Bottom Right)Short, British, and babyfaced. He’s basically the “Paul McCartney” of the group, the one that all the girls love(at least when the show first aired). In the band lineup, he does vocals, tambourine, and maracas(usually has like fifty maracas) In the show, he’s the group’s hopeless romantic. Always going after a girl and falling in love. However that whole “Davy falls in love and now it’s our problem” is much more of a season one plot line than season two(not to say doesn’t happen there too.)

Next is Micky Dolenz.(Top left). The bands…(for really lack of a better term here) wild card. He’s very energetic and comedic. In the band he’s the drummer but also does vocals most of the time. In the show, he’s wild, chaotic, and the jokester of the group.

Next is Peter Tork( bottom right). Sweet, sensitive Peter. Look at him isn’t he cute? In the band, he’s the bassist, but also plays a multitude of instruments. In the show he was the dummy. The butt of the joke all the time. His shy, awkward(auto fill suggested knees here, and I’m questioning everything), personality and lack of social skills was a constant joke during the series. Actual Peter is pretty intellectual.

Last but certainly not least(especially on this blog) is Mike(top right, in the green wool hat) the second Michael in my life(Mikey was the first). Ah Michael Nesmith. Where to start? Stoic, quiet,aloof, but a total goof sometimes.(starting to sound familiar here)He has what this website calls…autism swag. Usually wearing a little hat(okay now that I type this here I’m starting to realize the similarities between the two Michaels in my life), this Texan is the “serious one.” The dad of group basically. In the band he plays guitar and actually wrote a few songs(oh we’re gonna talk about this). In the show, he was basically the voice of reason. Not really focused on that much,but he had his moments. I should mention that he got rid of the hat around season two, but you can still identify him by his massive sideburns.

NOW THE SHOW AND MUSIC.

The show: The show aired from 1966-1968 with two seasons. They also had two tv specials and one hella trippy movie. Currently a lot of the episodes have been taken off YT(damn copyright) but we have archive.com and many drive folders containing these episodes. Episode plots can go from “guys Davy’s in love again and now it’s our problem” to “Crap we can’t pay the rent” to “crap we gotta save America from spies”. And season two only gets weirder. Each episode usually contains two “romps” which are basically music videos that showcase songs(like I said made to sell records)

(I do gotta warn you tho. This show was made in the 60s…so some of the content is not actually…politically correct according to today’s standards. So yea just be prepared for that)

Episodes I’d personally recommend for beginners are

Season 1 Ep 8: don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. A simple episode. Displays each of the characters personally traits pretty well. Has good songs.

Season 1 ep 23: Captain Crocodilez a pretty funny episode. Got a lot of that typical Monkee rapid fire random humor(which is kinda Aquabatsish). Some good romps and I find this ep quite enjoyable

Season one ep 12: I’ve got a little song here. This is a Mike focused episode and is a little bit sadder than the majority of eps, but is overall good. It’s got the bands superhero personas, the Monkeemen. Good songs too.

Season two episode 16: fairytale. An iconic episode.(so sometimes the guys would dress up in drag to make their schemes work and there’s lots of that in this episode) it’s a bit more off the walls(which is normal in season two) but still overall a good episode.

NOW FOR MUSIC

So the group(in the tv show years) released(holy shit) 9 albums.

The Monkees(a classic album of songs from the show) notable tracks include Last train to Clarksville, Saturday’s child, Sweet Young Thing, and Papa Gene’s blues

More of the Monkees(another classic, once again full of songs from the show) notable tracks include Mary,Mary , I’m not your stepping stone, the kind of girl I could love, and(you probably know this one) I’m a believer(yep the song from shrek was a Monkees song)

However, these albums were made with little to no creative control. Opting for studio musicans and writers than the actual guys themselves(who were all pretty good musicans) but after some rebellion, the producer getting fired, and a hole in a hotel wall(before the producer got fired,(guess who did this one lol). The band was able to play their own instruments.

Which brings us to an era which I personally consider the bands finest:

Headquarters: a masterpiece with the group playing almost of all their own instruments. Notable tracks include: Sunny Girlfriend, for Pete’s sake, and Randy Scouse Git

Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn and Jones(thats actually all the members zodiac signs, expect Davy’s bc him and Mike are both Capricorns and they actually share a birthday(Dec 30): this is their psychedelic album(hey it’s 1967 everyone’s doing it) Notable tracks here include: Pleasant Valley Sunday, Love is only sleeping, Star Collector and the door into summer.

The Birds, The Bees, and The Monkees: another classic👌. Notable tracks here include: Daydream Believer, Tapioca Tundra, and Dream World.

We then have the HEAD(that trippy movie i was talking about(that’s a little advanced tho, stick to the show for now) soundtrack: notable tracks here include: Porpoise Song, As we go along, circle sky, and daddy’s song.

Now for some mythbustijg bc oh boy

They didn’t play their own instruments: actually a lot of the guys were originally musicians before the show(Mike and Peter were folk singers, and Davy worked in broadway(not an instrument but still cool to know). We kinda already debunked this one though so let’s move on to the next:

They didn’t write their own songs: kinda true. The studio did bring in some studio writers to write songs, but the guys actually wrote some songs themselves(mainly Mike, but the others did too)

wait you HATED sweet pool omg. its my least fave out of the n+c releases ive read so far mainly for how flat the characters felt to me and how clumsy a lot of the plot felt but i rlly loved the aesthetic/general vibe it had so thats rlly interesting to me,if ur up for it id love to know what didnt click for u ^_^

when i judge how bad a VN is with my brother (avid VN reader as well) we use Sweet Pool as a basically "zero" on the scale of professional, large VNs.

Sweet Pool's writing was WEIRD. I can do some weird, thats fine. Weird ass-birth stillborn meatslugs? ... okay, ill... look past that. ok i wont lie, the constant ass-birth was hard for me. i really did try to not judge it on that but like, there was almost constant buttbirth going on. ive made peace with this by now, kinda making a link to myself about the connections of it to being an unintentional trans narrative in many ways and all but like. it was WEIRD. and kinda hard to read. it didnt strike me as horror, it struck me as "weird fetish i have to sit through. oh my god is he licking tha- PUT IT DOWN Z-DAWG. Ok christ."

The characters were also weird. I laughed out loud in surprise at how stupid the "i saved you from being raped <3 SO I CAN RAPE YOU, PSYCH!" scene was. like wtf was that??????

(I hope you werent planning on USING that butthole, mister!)

i did not enjoy the art style, i think its the ugliest N+C art style yet and since. not my thing. many angles and proportions look weird. the CGs looked stiff and uninspired. it NEVER grew on me. no shade to people who liked it or the artist it just.. wasnt my thing. not unbearable but just. not. as good as it could have been and def took away from the experience.

i didnt like any of the endings. it wasnt scary it was weird. the pacing was weird. for being a BL, it had very little love just... wtf. and im so sad abt what they did to mikoto bc i liked him before uuuUuUuUu yandere plot twwwwist. bleh.... dollar store keisuke! they would FORCE the true end so you maybe go, "maybe the true end is satisfying and good an-" no. its not. fuck yoU!

sweet pool was painful. i dont know how else to put my experience. i 100%d it because i 100% everything when i can, and i was literally pushing through like a hiker in a snow storm to finish it. every 3 seconds was secondhand embarrassment. the "jerking off in the classroom" scene comes to mind. i got up and took a break for that one because it was just unbearable. idk how anyone could slap one out to this vn. im not sure if anyone ever has. which makes the sex weird. actually, i dont think there was a single consensual ero scene unless u count the true end fusion scene.

(proof god does not love us)

the aesthetic/vibe was... ehhh... not super unique IMO. school setting immediately put me off, a more gritty and cool toned, dark palate made things interesting but, its still a "weird thing happens in high school" story. kinda bored to death of HS settings in VNs.

i did like the protag tho! he was interesting and it was nice having a chronically ill protag even if it was just a plot device to make him be able to miss school while going on a... dark apartment birth marathon.

sweet pool felt like a bizarre, amateur fanfiction for a fetish i dont have.

the soundtrack is very memorable as well as the opening pre-game sequence, i liked the concept of the choice button meanings, but they were very rough in actual use.

this is my favorite CG i appreciate the aquarium set up instead of a fish bowl (though he could do better...)

(shame about them turning into meat popcorn tho...)

i liked the iguana lol

i didnt care about these guys so much i dont even remember their names most of the time. except zenya. i liked him cus hes so cute and batshit crazy and has intersex swag.

Yo Zhao? S tier character actually.

He's such a fun guy in the story. Just like "hey yo kasuga-kun, I'm dealing a coup rn but hey go help the geomijul k thanks bye" LIKE he's so confident and swag and I wish I had that swagger like dear god. And so perceptive.

He's also very fun to write because I don't have to watch my wording. He just says suggestive stuff (homoerotic ofc) without batting an eye. It's awesome. First time I wrote his perspective, he told Joongi Han he looked like a protagonist lmfao.

And gameplay wise? Made him a chef. Shit was funny. Smacking people's asses with pepper shakers and frying pans was great.

Anyway. There's a huge tier list of RGG characters I made. He's in S tier, right between Nishiki and Higashi. Tho that list is so in flux that only the tiers are concrete lol.

Tl;dr: Zhao. Good character. I'll stop delaying and get back to stream 😔

My poorest little meow meow. My wet paper bag of a mercenary. My sweet cheese. My silly rabbit. They simultaneously make my heart ache and soar whenever I think about them, their story, and everything that they are. I’ve put a lot of thought and care into them over the past couple of years that I’ve had them and they pretty quickly claimed this spot. They are my favorite brainworm <3.

There’s actually a newer oc but I made like. 2 days ago and I’m not quite ready to share her with everyone yet so here’s Rory!! Not too much on her backstory yet. She’s not involved with any canon characters, just Gray and eventually Dmitri. She does die a few years after meeting them unfortunately 😔

OLDEST OC:

tihtiyas -- resident evil

Maverick is technically my first oc but he’s just changed soooooo much while Ti hasn’t much in comparison so I put her here instead. I’ve mostly just refined her as I’ve gotten older. I’ve had her since I was about 12 years old and she means a lot to me :) even tho I don’t talk about her too much. I really like her story and her relationship with Leon and the other characters. I made her when at a time where I was struggling with accepting my identity as an indigenous person (not because I was ashamed but bc of other reasons) and she kinda helped me with that!

MEANEST OC:

jace -- fable

This was a tie between him and Zeke, whom I could not make in the picrew so </3. I will give Jace the title of the worst man in Albion purely because Reaver was not alive during the first game JDFSKL. Jace was raised by good people and knew a lot of kindness in his life though he’d end up jaded to the world around him anyway due to the first raid of Oakvale that happened when he was only a child. This would result in the loss of father and sister while his mother was nowhere to be found, or so he thought. To Jace, kindness is weakness and only the strong can survive. Though one could argue he takes that sentiment a step too far.

SOFTEST OC:

valen -- skyrim

The sweetest girl in all of Tamriel!! Valen is soooo special to me. She is a bosmer and a healer, a job that requires no small amount of compassion. Her story is one of self-discovery, particularly discovering her strength and self-worth though she loses no amount of kindness along the way, she just doesn’t let it get in the way of taking care of herself anymore.

MOST ALOOF/STANDOFFISH OC:

silas -- dragon age: origins

This is partially a defense mechanism (mainly against humans) but also because of their overwhelming autistic swag. At their core, Silas is kind and protective of those around them, perhaps overwhelmingly so. They’re also irresponsible and flighty but becoming a warden forces them mature pretty rapidly. Through their journey, they discover their knack for leadership and for problem-solving even if they’re not the most diplomatic. Their relationship with Mivera (their sister), Zevran and the other companions is really special to me!

DUMBEST (AFFECTIONATE) OC:

sylvan -- skyrim

I had such a hard time with this one because none of my ocs are really stupid? I picked Sylvan because I guess he’s the least intelligent but mostly just acts like a giant dumbass because he thinks it’s funny. But it also works to his benefit when others underestimate him. He’s not the most academically sound but he has the street smarts, charisma, and looks to make up for it.

SMARTEST OC:

demetria -- eso

I don’t think you can be as old as she is and be dumb fjdslf. But her upbringing had a heavy focus on the academics and magic so she’s always been incredibly book smart. She was, however, lacking any sort of street smarts or social skills until she left the cave she was raised in. But this would change upon meeting Valkya and Hakon, two nord warriors turned mercs who took her under their wing. She’s blunt, witty, and a tiny bit arrogant but is also kind and loves to talk about her studies any chance she gets. She’s a nerd <3.

OC I WOULD BE BEST FRIENDS WITH:

eden -- devil may cry

She is truly the bestie of all time. I’ve always found myself drawn to people like Eden (extroverted, kind, and very talkative) and she loves to adopt sad little introverts so I think we could be great friends! Sitting on a rooftop and watching the stars with her would fix me, I think.

aaaaaaaa this episode.... it caught me off guard, I have lots of feelings and hopefully a couple of coherent thoughts

SPOILERS FOR EP 8 UNDER THE CUT

tbh I'm really excited about the changes (to the manga) they introduced in this episode, I like the direction so far

turns out vash and naï had different abilities from the start, and it's quite likely that vash felt lesser that his twin even during their time with rem (naï says that making food for him is "a waste" and vash uses the same sentiment when he was rescued). I'm guessing that vash's ability is to give away energy (but he's not self sustaining), while knives can only take from others (but he's eco friendly), which was already touched upon in previous iterations, but very briefly

plant lore! one of the things I didn't like about og anime is how vague all the plant stuff was, I had to read the fandom wiki to understand what they were. very based of stampede to go all hard sci-fi on us

the way vash refuses himself basic needs when he feels guilty.... and how this continues well into his adulthood.... his ass is not coping!!!

sequences after the fall were the most emotional, man! my boy vash got so much trauma from seeing all the dead and dying and feeling like it's all his fault... give him a hug now!!!!! but at the same time he actually was complicit and daaamn I can't wait to hear the full story there

idk if I got the vibe right (maybe subs were a bit misleading), but luida made up that rem saved them? it seemed as if she only said it to give vash a reason to live, and it's partially true (rem did try her best to save everyone), but ship three and a bunch of others survived mostly because they were lucky and not because rem managed to break the code. please correct me if I got it wrong. although I kinda dig the idea of vash glorifying rem while she was just as helpless as any other human in this situation

hair darkening confirmed... we were right to be worried all along. it's interesting that even in the earliest flashbacks he already has darkish eyebrows, hmm... what did this kid do? 👀

once again, wish there were more side characters, but luida and brad were pretty wholesome. wonder is they're still alive and how old is vash in this version (probably younger than 100 if luida is alive)

a bit sad that we didn't get to see the gang interacting while vash was blacked out, I was really looking into it. but at least we saw him with that clunky shoulder piece removed. from the teaser it seems like his new hand won't be all that different tho

love all the slutty outfits people were theorising about.... but that turtleneck? yep thats peak slut fashion and transmask swag. nothing will ever top the manga version but I still support it

next episode is gonna kill me.... and something tells me that the time vash spent unconcious is gonna be all the rest he gets. DAMN. still manifesting scar reveal

now to predictions: after ep 6 I thought that we'll visit the seeds ppl this time around and we kinda did, I just didn't expect for a flashback to last a whole episode and more. ep 9 is pretty obvious from the teaser and in 11 vash should already be in july so that the season finale can happen in at least two episodes. then 10 is probably gonna be all about getting to this final destination. could be that the gang gets separated by that time ('cause vash will push them away), but they'll all still be in july when shit hits the fan

huh whats that. i stopped reading after the first five words

somehow not winning a Single bingo i've done goddamn. 1.6 million words and we still don't know enough about him. but also we know almost the perfect amount about him. i liked watching him jump into the paper shredder. only worm character who has made me sniffle for 45 straight minutes (over a scene i thought i was going to find hilarious, which is very fitting for how he operates as a person). shoutout to blastweave for the 'surprisingly good person given the circumstances terrible by any other metrics' post bc it Got In My Brain and made me start thinking abt alec and now i'm the world's biggest alec enjoyer.

reading the terrible takes made him more interesting as well tho. i literally only started thinking interesting things about him because i got mad at posts that sucked. like i didn't even like him at first he was nothing to me but i accidentally talked myself into liking him by vehemently disagreeing with posts that disliked him for the wrong reasons.

anyway i actually really liked what wildbow did with his personal paper shredder i think everything about his arc is 4 the most part super solid, i do think he could've made the WoG re: his abysmal childhood a bit more blatant in canon. like maybe toss that in his interlude or smth. i know wildbow is not a 'sexual abuse on-screen' guy in terms of writing preference and on a watsonian level i think it checks that alec mostly avoids thinking about the things that most impacted him but as-is it's so subtle that Literally Everyone misses it and subsequently misses what his Deal is lmao. i think he could have scootched Something in there to make his Deal more obvious. but the only thing i'm rescuing him from wildbow for is that wildbow cannot handle the bisexual gnc swag he Deserves to have. never over how funny it is that wildbow doesn't even see him as bisexual just as 'hedonist' and writes him like a straight boy except for when he's having fucked up evil sex but still thinks he looks gay enough for someone to accuse him of not liking vagina. during a kaiju fight. like 30 minutes before he dies. top all time regent moment.

(okay, second top all time regent moment. no 1 top all time is still when he says being willing to make sacrifices for the people you care about is terribly unhealthy. it sure is buddy. you've heard of taylor judging alec for shit she does, get ready for alec being like 'man taylor is so gonna be fucked over by that thing she does' about something he is also going to be fucked over by doing)

CoS Shenanigans, Vallaki Edition

Canon: Some people in Barovia behave oddly or have a flat affect because they don't actually have souls (bizarre, grossly ableist)

My players, who are entirely queer and ND: Barovia just has a higher rate of neurodivergency, possibly enhanced by the relative isolation of the population over hundreds of years (plausible, doesn't make people with clearly ND characteristics out to be soulless and evil)

Party Conclusion: Strahd von Zarovich has major autistic swag. His special interests are tactical warfare, necromancy, and bats. He's also bisexual and grey-romantic (hilarious, relatable, entirely plausible according to I, Strahd)

(CoS Vallaki spoilers under the cut)

Canon: Gadof Blinsky's obsession with making creepy toys causes him to be a social outcast in Vallaki. The DM is instructed to play him with an outrageously bad parody of an Eastern European accent. (...I probably don't even have to say how this is Bad tbh)

My Party: This man is also clearly autistic, and his creepy goth toys are the best thing ever. He now has eight new friends. We're going to buy half his stock and hand out toys to the children of Vallaki. (Also they believe he should be played by Jack Black, and I agree.)

Canon: Victor Vallakovich is an evil murdering incel necromancer, and Stella Wachter is so frail of mind that his rejection of the marriage proposal between their families made her go completely insane (also ableist, misogynistic)

Me, the DM: Victor Vallakovich is a miserable 20-something gay goth kid desperate to escape his father's rampant stupidity, as well as a self-taught mage with dangerous gaps in his knowledge. (Also, the party instantly fell in love with his six skeleton cats.) In a misguided attempt to hex and sabotage the whole marriage deal, he accidentally placed a curse on Stella herself, causing her delusion that she herself is a cat. Oops.

Canon: Lady Fiona Wachter is an evil old power-hungry bitch (ageist, misogynistic)

My Party: Lady Wachter has clearly put a lot of pressure on herself to restore the power she sees as her birthright, alongside dealing with the grief of losing her husband. She's also correct that Lord Strahd is the lawful ruler of the land, and going against him is treason. (It's still creepy that she has her dead husband magically preserved in her bedroom tho, and the demon-cult thing is sus as hell)

Milan Lyudmilovich, Hexblood raised by a Hag: She's much easier to deal with than Mother was, tbh. Also we should tell her that Lord Strahd doesn't look kindly on that Osybus nonsense.
