I'm in a silly goofy mood as I try to cross the finish line with this fic listening to sad music so have this tiny bit of the new fic just to tease y'all lol prev snippet
“Why can't you just believe that?” Buck pleads and he looks away, because he knows Buck means it but he can't deal with how that makes him feel now, it would just make it worse when it stopped being true. “You said it was the worst night of your life,” he adds after a few too long seconds of charged silence and Eddie nods, still not looking at him.
“It's up there, yeah.”
“But you've been pulling away from me for months.” Buck sounds so heartbroken about it forces him to look back at him.
“I-”
“Losing me was the worst night of your life but you keep pushing me out. Why?”

trying to decide if in a muggle ghost!au if I would want Percy to be the ghost or whoever i'm shipping him with in that moment
on one hand dead!Percy who died from like a sickness a hell of a long time ago like im talking 50-60 years not like a year ago ok cool fun interesting
especially when its like those situations where ghosts don't "wake up" (so to speak) immediately and so he's just is very confused why everything's so different and his family is gone and that there's some random person in his house, in his room. Ghosts have to work to be able to bee seen though so it takes a few weeks of Percy trying to do stuff to get them to notice him you know normal ghost shenanigans slamming cabinets, leaving notes on like mirrors, turning things on or off that kind of deal. anyway point is it doesn't work for a while because he has to figure out how to be corporeal.
so he ends up learning more about the person in the house with him and realizes that they seem really lonely. Percy never sees anyone else enter the house with them and they don't leave the house too often.
some character specific thoughts I have for potential non ghosty's
Oliver
played a sport professionally idk I've seen both rugby and soccer being like the replacement sport for quidditch regardless of which one i think he like broke a leg or something and cant play anymore so is now in strong depression
breaking a leg was very recent
doesn't react to Percy slamming things around because i think he's just kinda numb and doesn't really notice most of the time
but when Percy is finally able to show himself Oliver accepts fairly well because he thinks he's kinda just finally lost it
needs new special interest stat before he does something drastic
Marcus
Has an online job so legit just does not leave the house
moved as far from his family as he could after his Mother's death
jokes about there being a ghost before Percy figures out a corporeal form which causes Percy hope at first but is quickly dashed when Marcus just uses some random name
but because of him joking about it Marcus is more freaked out then Oliver would be when it becomes clear that there is indeed a ghost
i also really like the idea of someone slowly dying from something chronic that cant be fixed because then the problem of them being unable to be together gets fixed and then the other dies and they get to be reborn together or live out eternity as ghosties

Buck’s phone rings, and he pulls it out of his pocket, his hands shaking when he reads Bobby’s contact name. He answers before he can even register it. “Pops?” His voice is quiet and terrified.

Hearing footsteps from his spot on the couch, Buck tenses as Nathan comes up the stairs. It’s been so long, but Buck can still recognize the man’s footfalls. He lets out a breath he’d been subconsciously holding when Nathan finally appears and moves towards one of the armchairs across from him instead of the couch.

“Jurassic Park!” Chris yells, and Buck has to cover his ears against the sound, the kid’s excitement causing him to be louder than usual. “Please, Dad, I know it’s kind of scary, but they just put it back on Netflix, and I’ve seen it before! Plus, I’m ten now, I won’t have nightmares!”

“I don’t want you to get hurt again,” Eddie says, meeting Buck’s gaze. His eyes are soft and despite his words, they shine with support, and Buck thinks—not for the first time—how lucky he is to have a best friend like Eddie.

Nathan’s study abroad had been nearly over when Buck brought up the idea of him going to Los Angeles to fight fires and help people. Nate had just nodded before taking Buck’s hand and kissing him, saying he’d buy the plane tickets in the morning. Buck had assumed they’d be going back together to be together.

Eddie glares at Chim when he insists on playing with the station’s small Hildy gadget that they keep in the kitchen. They mostly use it to play music, but Chimney takes the opportunity to ask her a bunch of questions throughout the day and only stops when Eddie threatens to run her over with a fire truck after Chimney starts asking her questions about the 118 themselves.

#oh my gosh I loved this issue#it completely recontextualized all of Guy’s prior actions as he tried to keep Ice and Christopher apart#and changed our understanding of the rest of the series to come as the principle mystery has seemingly been solved#genuinely very excited to follow the rest of the series as it comes out#I also loved what this specific bit added to Christopher’s character#we’ve already seen that it’s very important to him to take his death calmly because of how horrified he was#by the humiliation of his father’s death#which feeds into his desire to be a human target for people and take their deaths for them#and I like this new tidbit where he stopped crying for his father because he realized he sounded like him#when his father realized how screwed he was#and learned to act as though everything was fine#I’ve only known this character for these 7 issues but I’m very compelled by his portrayal#dc#the human target#christopher chance#beatriz da costa#my posts#comic panels

man did i have a stressful day yesterday with washing machines and the dryer acting up, having soo much to do, it raining like heck alllll day, having to go and print plane tickets, it being an early cats show and wanting boba before leaving and somehow. through sheer luck and despite technically leaving way too late i arrived at the boba shop half an hour before the show and could comfortably have a drink. miracles do happen

Ripped#when he was on the floor there was just a little stub left and the tail was on the floor. mungo found it and poked at it curiously then took#it and started laughing. while munk was curled up. tailless. not even sure he noticed but ah. he lost his tail in the fight!!!!!!!!!!#several ppl whispered to him during the dark bit and he got up and got a new one at the next best opportunity but he Also seems to have#found it hilarious b/c he kept talking and motioning to his tail it was. hilarious. fitting. cute af. i owe u my lfye mr snova sir please#also bc. he was so affectionate with tugger. with everyone but like during his song he wasn't annoyed at all like literally all other munks#i've seen he just i would even say fondly watched and danced with him when he was close and was just vibing? mr snova.. mr... mr snovaaaa...#but from the get go they were so soft with each other. during the pyramid tugger caressed munk's head when he hissed hi and held his hand#back when tugger covered his during old deut and randomly reached back for him when he stood behind him during the ball and uhm.#while tugger and bomba fcked he stood next to them and watched. smiling. and whenthey were done he lovingly pushed tugger's hair from his#sweaty forehead while tugger was still half lying on the tire Spent. i was.... speechless even in my brain#and during the mating dance tugger put his leg over deme and munk put his arm around both of them holding tugger by the waist just hhhhhhhh#and while it isn't unusual for tugger to put his and on munk's inner thigh during skimble it Is unusual for munk to do it back which he Did#yes other character tidbits happened too but that's between me and me and it was probably the last snova munk so why not focus on him here#i do have an undefeatable munk preferences for munk by himself but snova as both munk and tugger loves saying Ur Valid which is nice

i love festa i’ve been waiting all year its my favorite thing ever and im so excited to see what they’ve been preparing for us... im in this bangtan sonyeondan shit for life
#my 6 years with bts passed exactly a month ago and i hope i'll have so many more years with them#as soon as like 2 years passed and i was still loving them more every day i realized this was something special#all of my previous fandoms had lasted for maybe a few months#to this day i havent been continuously active in any other fandom for more than like a year or so#there might be things i still like yknow like for example i got into my sports animes a little before bts and i still love them#but ive moved on from the fandoms and i dont rly keep up with news very actively or anything and i dont think about them all the time#but with bts its like every day i find new things to love about them and new ways to interpret their music#new details in their songs i'd never caught before new tidbits from old interviews i'd never seen before#every day i love them more and more and more until i think there cant possibly be any more love left in me#and then tomorrow comes and i love them even MORE!!!!#i will never act embarrassed or joke about being cringe bc i like bts i just will never do that. they have saved my life#and not only have they saved it they've directly improved it. they've made me the person i am#without them i might be in a completely different place or even a similar place but feeling so much more miserable and worried about things#i know that i am content with where i am solely because of bts' impact on my mindset and my perspective on life and living and growing up#this has turned into a love letter but yknow what its good practice for the letter im gonna write them in my journal on 6.13 <3#aeron.txt
