Kids not wanting there dad to leave them home to go abroad to race
"Papa! Papa!", Finn yelled, frantically looking around the house and running as quickly as his legs allowed him to. Spotting you in the kitchen and stomping his foot, he was about to question you when the back door opened and Max walked inside.
"Hi Finn, I-," he stopped when he saw the panic in his blue eyes, "hey, hey, papa is still here. I wouldn't leave without saying goodbye," he reassured, kneeling down in front of him as he looked straight into his eyes.
Finn nodded and looked at him, "I'll miss you, papa", he whispered, leaving Max to sigh. When he was younger, he didn't quite get the idea of how his father's travels worked so saying goodbye was harder on Max than it was for him. Now, however, it was about the same for both your boys.
"How about we make a deal?", Max suggested, "When papa is not home, you're the man of the house," he pulled Finn to sit with him on the floor, "your job is to look after mama and Julia and make sure they're happy and safe, and you have to behave well for mama and always fo what she says", he paused once he saw Finn frown.
"Even the broccoli" he whined, making Max giggle and nod, "And clean up your toys", Max looked between you and Finn, Julia sleeping in your chest, wrapped up safely in her sling. Max gave you a small smile and mouthed, "I love you, liefje", making you nod and mouth it back to him.
Getting up, Max sighed and looked at Finn, the little boy quickly wrapping his arms around his father's neck and resting his cheek on his shoulder. Your husband kissed his temple and rubbed his back in a comforting manner, "I'm going to miss you, buddy", he said, "and mama and Julia, but I'll be back soon, okay?", he assured him, "maybe I can convince mama to let you guys come to a race soon".
(Thank you for submitting an ask ✨️)

O’Knutzy Week Day Two let's gooo
Posting a day late because *gestures vaguely* life, but it's here! It's happening!
Leo, Finn and Logan belong to @lumosinlove <3 Written for @oknutzyweek2023 <3
Day 2: Cooking Mishaps (A2)
Dear Mama and Dad,
I’ve officially been in the UK for a month, but it feels like longer. It is SO fucking cold. Hogwarts is amazing, but there aren’t enough heating charms in the world to make me like November up here. Can you send another quilt for the bed? One of the super warm ones Nana makes?
I WON THE FIRST TASK! Even Kasey said he couldn’t have done it any better. (You know how he’s student-teaching? He actually got to come here as one of the chaperones. I’ve got other friends here too, but it’s nice to see him every day again. It’s kind of like before he graduated, except he can give detentions now, haha)
I know y’all always tell me don’t go borrowing trouble, but the tournament is intense, and the second task has nothing to do with the first one. It helps to go into it with the most points, but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna win or even come second next time. Doesn’t help that I have no idea what it’ll be, so no idea how to prepare. All we have are the golden eggs from the first task, and we haven’t figured out how to open them to see the next clue yet.
We meaning me, Logan and Finn. You know how I said we agreed to a truce and were gonna help each other get through the year? I think we’re actually real friends now. We’ve been meeting up most nights (yes I’m still doing my homework) and Finn’s been showing us all the best secret spots in the castle. Although honestly, we just end up in the kitchens most of the time, making tea or sandwiches or whatever. I’ve even cooked a little. Had a few mishaps because sometimes I forget everything’s in metric, but I made some chicken & rice soup last night that was pretty good. Finn said he’d pay me to make it again if he gets sick, and Logan had seconds even though he usually just wants sweet stuff at night.
Some people are kinda pissed at me for being so friendly with them because they’re "the competition" (same thing for Finn and Lo), but they don’t get how hard it would be if we didn’t have each other’s backs. All the prep on top of school is a lot, and there’s crazy pressure to win from everyone, even the teachers. We’re still all playing to win, but it’s nice not to be alone. And I actually like them, like outside of all this. You can meet them when you come here to watch the third task in April. Maybe they can come visit this summer?
I really miss you. And Mama’s food. And the animals. And being WARM. But I’m good, so don’t worry. Kermit’s liking it too, I think, but I have to keep him away from Finn’s owl. There’s no truce in their future.
Love,
Leo
Cher Maman et Papa,
Je vais bien. Je travaille dur pour gagner la prochaine tâche. Simone mange trop de tartes au poisson et ronfle dans mon oreille la nuit.
Je t'embrasse,
Logan

I can't stop thinking about how Finn has absolutely no idea what Silas has gone through and even if he did, he could never understand it because Silas has done everything in his power to ensure Finn grows up safe, healthy and protected. He doesn't even know how Morrigan died, just that he, well, died.
Finn knows Silas is originally from the Abyss. He's not an idiot, he can put two and two together and realise that hey, that's a very shitty place to grow up. But he doesn't understand the full extent of it, the trauma, the terror, the suffering, and he never will.
Silas is blank and unexpressive because that's how he got through his terrible times in the Abyss. Finn is blank and unexpressive because he takes after Silas, and also because Silas is all he had, he just copied what he knew as a small kid.
You can look at Silas and immediately tell that is a man who has been through some shit, but for Finn that's just his Papa. His Papa who isn't all that conventional, but still loves him dearly.
Idk I just love these two a lot (it's late so sorry if this seems all over the place)

Sunday-September 16th- 2018
Aurora looked down at her phone and saw a text message from her father, Jere Lehtinen. She sighed and walked away from the group. She, her boyfriend Brayden and their friends had gone to Top Golf for his birthday. Her father had been away at the Dallas Stars training camp for the past week.
Tumblr media
Brayden dropped her back at her large house in Preston Hollow. “I’ll call you later,” she said as she kissed him on the cheek. Brayden and Rory had been dating for almost a year and Rory was ridiculously in love. They were the prototype of high school sweethearts who began dating their senior year of high school. Originally, Rory had planned on attending the University of Texas to major in Sports Management in pursuit of her dream job in the NHL. However, when Brayden had been waitlisted at UT, she changed her plans and went with her second choice of Southern Methodist University. He started at community college at Brookhaven. The change of plans had come as a huge disappointment to her father who did not want to see his precious baby girl change her dreams for a boy-particularly that boy.
Rory walked into the house and called, “Papa- I am home.”
Jere called from the kitchen, “In here, Pupu(bunny).” She walked into the large kitchen to give her father a hug. He squeezed her tight, “How was your night? How was Bray?” The disdain dripped from his voice.
“Papa, you know that it is BrayDEN,” she corrected as she eyed the young man standing at the end of the island. The tall brunette looked at the bubbly, young blonde, blushed and looked down again. Rory looked at her father and spoke in Finnish, “Who’s the boy?”
Jere looked at Miro then back at his daughter and replied in Finnish, “That’s Miro. I told you about him. He’s starting with the Stars and will be living with us until he gets settled into Dallas life.”
Rory looked back and forth between the two and spoke in English, “Staying here? In our house?”
“Yes and I want you to show him the ropes,” her father replied.
“What ropes?” she stared at her father in disbelief, “Is this the favor you wanted to ask me? Aren’t there some Finns on the team to show him the ropes?” she asked incredulously.
“Pupu,” he father replied with a sweet smile, “He needs someone his own age to show him the town. He can’t go hang out in bars with the other guys. Do your papa this favor.” Miro stared at the ground and listened into the conversation. He could understand the general idea of it even if the finer points were lost in him. He wasn't sure what the ropes were and why he would need to see them.
Rory rolled her eyes, “Fine, but he has to fit into my schedule- not the other way around.”
"Pupu," he chided his youngest daughter, "You know he will not have flexibility in his schedule. Why are you not willing to help him out?"
"I think you know why. Brayden won't like it if he is always hanging around. Also I am not wasting my time with some rookie that might be sent down to Austin within two weeks." Jere gave her the "look". "Papa, I have a life," she pleaded, "Okay, I will schedule something for next weekend."
“Thank you,” her father kissed her cheek, “Now, can you show Miro to the guest bedroom?”
Rory waited for Miro to join and spoke in Finnish, "I will show you the room and then we will come get your bags." They passed through the family room. Miro stopped and stared at the three Selke trophies prominently displayed in the built-in. Mementos of Jere’s impressive Stars and Team Finland career were scattered around the room. Rory moved to stand next to him as he looked at each item. She looked at the trophy then at Miro and spoke again in Finnish, "So you must be good if Papa is so invested in you.
"Yeah," he blushed and replied back in Finnish, “I think I have a shot.” He looked at the framed photo of Rory sitting in the bowl of the Stanley Cup at the tender age of six months. "Is that you?"
She smiled and continued in Finnish, "Yeah, I have hockey in my blood. Brayden hates it though."
They walked slowly to the guest bedroom. Miro turned at the door and smiled. "Is Brayden boyfriend? He should like things you like," he said in English. Rory's mouth dropped. "I speak English. Not much, but enough," he smiled, "I won't waste your time, bunny" Rory blushed and rushed to her room just in time for her nightly call from Brayden.
October 2021
“But why does he have to go?” Brayden whined to Rory. She adjusted her short sleeved Longhorn t-shirt and cut-off shorts.
“Because there isn’t anything more quintessential Texan than the State Fair and Texas/OU football game,” she replied. “You know, you could be a little more understanding about the situation,” she sighed, “Imagine that you were across the world from your friends and family- in a brand new city. Wouldn’t you want someone to show you around?”
Brayden walked up to her and lifted her up. He smiled, “Well, I don’t ever plan on leaving Texas so it will never be an issue for me.” She ran her hand over his broad chest and matching  Longhorn shirt and pressed her lips together.
“You mean to live? You never want to live anywhere other than Texas?” she asked.
“To live and to be. I have everything I want and need here,” he joked as he kissed her cheek. He sat her down and playfully swatted her bottom.
“Not even to travel? Explore the world and see what else there is to see?” she scoffed.
“I mean, I’d go to Mexico or some place for our honeymoon, but that’s just about it.” he answered emphatically. Jere’s career had afforded Rory opportunities to travel the world much more than the average person her age. Between the annual trips in the summer to Finland and the international hockey tournaments, she had traveled extensively. She tried to imagine living a life that did not continue that sort of travel. It felt small-minded and unappealing, but Rory tried to dismiss the feeling. Brayden was her boyfriend and she loved him. She stared at his tall and muscular body. He was every bit of the stereotypical Texan that she was conditioned to want by her environment. She tried to shake the feeling that she wanted something more. Rory left him in the living room and walked to the bottom of the stairs. “Jäbä, are you ready to leave?”
Miro came bounding down the stairs with a smile, “Yes, Aurora” He spoke her name in an exaggerated drawl playfully, “I am ready to go to the great State Fair of Texas.” She rolled her eyes and poked him in the middle of the chest. She had spent the previous week explaining the fair and its intricacies to a very confused Miro. “So it’s a carnival?” he would ask in Finnish. She would shake her head emphatically and describe its wonders. Again he would tease, “So it’s a really BIG carnival?”
Brayden cleared his throat to get Rory’s attention. “We need to go if we want to do any sort of tailgating,” he explained.
Rory’s facial expression changed slightly and Miro noticed. “What’s tailgating?” he tentatively asked in English.
Rory answered back in Finnish, “It’s where people get drunk before a sporting event. In this case, because he is too young to legally drink inside the fair, he will start before the game.”
Miro looked from Rory to Brayden and asked in Finnish, “And this is not good? You don’t like it?”
Rory spit out in English, “No, I don’t like it. I don’t like it all.”
Three hours later-Cotton Bowl Stadium
Miro looked over at Rory and sighed. She was trying to put on a brave face, but he could tell that she was upset. Brayden and his friends had imbibed before the game and were now making fools of themselves at the game. After taking a commanding lead through the third quarter, the UT Longhorns were now seeing that lead decimated by a fourth quarter OU Sooner comeback led by Kyler Murray. When OU scored the tying touchdown with two minutes left in the game, Brayden and his friends effectively lost-their-shit. A tirade of cuss words flowed from their mouths. Despite himself, Miro laughed. Rory shared a glance with him before breaking out in giggles as well.
“What the fuck are the two of you laughing at, huh?” Brayden demanded and stomped his feet.
This caused Rory’s giggles to erupt even louder. “Look at yourself. It’s a FOOTBALL game- not the end of the world,” she said between laughs. Brayden looked back and forth between the two friends and felt his blood pressure rise. He got the sense that they were mocking him and he detested being mocked.
“Hey Finn boy,” he growled, “I don’t know what you are laughing at. You can barely speak English.”
“Hey,” Rory chided him, “If you are mad at me for laughing, then be mad at me. Don’t take it out on Jäbä.”
“Jäbä, Jäbä, Jäbä,” Brayden mocked, “What the fuck does that even mean?”
“Dude,” Miro interjected quickly.
“Don’t dude me,” Brayden replied, “We are NOT friends.”
Miro laughed, “No, it literally means ‘Dude’.” He turned to Rory and asked in Finnish, “How do you say nickname?”
“The word is nickname,” Rory answered in Finnish.
Miro turned around, “It’s nickname she have for me. You no like?”
“No, I don’t like it. I don’t like anything about you. You stupid foreign asshole,” Brayden countered, “You can’t even speak basic English.”
Miro took a step toward Brayden. “I can speak English.” Brayden took a step back. He had not anticipated Miro standing up to him. Just then the Longhorns ran the ball down to the twenty four yard line. Brayden turned his attention back to the game. Miro turned to face Rory with a question in his eyes. She softly shook her head no and looked down. “Aurora,” he said softly, “Don’t be sad. He’s drunk. No big deal.” Internally, Rory knew that it was a big deal. She knew that his temper was out of control and she was embarrassed that Miro felt the brunt of it. “Aurora,” he said again, “It’s not your fault.” They shared a tender look and she sighed before giving him a soft smile.
The stadium erupted in cheers as the Longhorns kicked a field goal to retake the lead. Brayden picked up Rory and squeezed her in a tight hug then placed a forceful kiss on her mouth. Miro watched in stunned silence. His heart raced and he felt an uncomfortable emotion pulsing through his body. He wasn’t sure what it was, but he knew that it was an immediate response to Brayden kissing Rory. Miro turned to observe half the crowd erupting in cheers while the other half looked dejected. “I’ll never understand football,” he thought to himself.
After the game, the group made their way to the Midway for rides and carnival games. Brayden, Jayden and Caden bribed another fairgoer into purchasing large beers for them so their buzz would keep going. Miro walked behind Brayden and Rory as Brayden led her through the crowd with a tight grip on her waist. A carnival barker called out to the group from the Rope Ladder Climb. “Hey Bro, win your girl a prize,” he called out to Brayden, “All you have to do is climb this rope and ring the bell. It’s as easy as pie.”
Tumblr media
Brayden took a look at Rory and then looked back at Miro. “Yeah, I’ll do it,” he said as he pulled out his wallet. How much?” The barker informed him that it was ten dollars. “Hey Rory, can you spot me? I used the last of my cash for the beers.” She looked at him in disbelief.
Miro stepped forward and handed the barker a crispy twenty. Brayden looked up in surprise. “Him first and then me,” Miro said, “We see who wins prize.”
Brayden mounted the rope ladder and tried to balance his weight. He moved his right foot to the next rung and the ladder wobbled. He took another step and it wobbled again. His friends shouted suggestions to him- “Go faster, Tighten your grip, Go slower!” Beads of sweat covered Brayden’s forehead and palms. He began to lose his grip and with a final movement fell off of the ladder. He hit the inflatable with the palm of his hand and cussed, “Damn it, it’s rigged. It’s fucking rigged.”
Miro walked up to the ladder as Brayden exited and looked back at Rory. He gave her a sly smile and she giggled. “I go now?” he asked as he balanced on the ladder. The barker gave him the go signal and Miro took off. He nimbly climbed, moving his opposite limbs in a fluid motion- left, right left, right. Brayden stood in stunned silence as Miro reached the top within seconds and rang the bell in victory. Miro jumped off the ladder and slid down the inflatable. He flashed Rory another smile as he said to the barker, “You right- easy as cake”
Rory laughed, “Jäbä, pie- the phrase is easy as pie.”
Miro simply shrugged his shoulders, “I was close.”
Tumblr media
The barker instructed Miro to pick from the top row of prizes. Miro laughed as he pointed to the prize he wanted. The barker pulled down the large stuffed animal and handed it to the Finn. Miro took the prize and placed it in Rory’s hands with a flourish. “Pupu pupulleni,” he said gallantly in Finnish. Rory hugged the prize and hid her face to hide her blush.
“What the fuck did you say?” Brayden demanded to know.
“A bunny for my bunny,” Miro replied in English. He turned to Rory, “You like, Aurora?”
Brayden tried to rip the bunny from Rory’s arms, “You are not taking that from him. You are not.” He screamed in her face, “You are MY girlfriend- not his fucking bunny. Give it back to him.”
Miro stepped in between the two, “Back off.”
“Oh, look at who is back to his broken English again,” Brayden mocked.
Rory yelled, “Stop it- stop it Brayden”
“Give her the bunny back and walk away Brayden. Don’t ever scream at her like that again,” Miro said firmly while he stared into the Texan’s eyes, “Is that English good enough for you?” He turned to Rory in Finnish, “Aurora, I think it’s time for us to go home. Do you want me to get an Uber to take us?”
Rory looked back and forth between Brayden and Miro. She was going to disappoint one with any decision made. She thought quickly and blurted out, “Miro is going to take me home. You're drunk and if my dad sees it, he is going to be furious. Call me tomorrow when you are sober. We can talk then.” She looked at Miro and spoke in Finnish, “Get me out of here and away from him, Jäbä. I just want to go home.”
Miro nodded and grabbed her hand before he responded in Finnish, “Yes, my bunny.”
December 31st, 2018
Tumblr media
Three hours later, Miro called from the party at Tyler Seguin's house.
Miro: Aurora- are you coming?
Rory: No Jäbä- I am not.
Miro: Why not? What happened?
Rory took a deep breath: Brayden broke up with me
Miro: He what?
Rory: He broke up with me- via text
Miro: Where are you?
Rory: Home
Miro: I am coming to you.
Miro hung up the phone before she could protest. He left the party without telling anyone and made it to the Lehtinen home in less than fifteen minutes. He unlocked the front door and walked into the house, “Aurora, it’s me Jäbä. I am home.”
Rory called from the kitchen, "I am in here." He followed the sound of her voice and found her sitting at the island. A bottle of vodka sat in front of her. He glanced at her as she opened it and poured herself a drink. "Want one?" she asked dejectedly.
“When will your parents be home?” he asked quietly.
“It will be late. They are at the Morrow’s New Year’s Eve party,” she said quietly.
“Only one drink,” he cautioned, “Tell me what happened.”
She slid her phone across the counter to him, “Read for yourself.”
“He cheating on you? With Maddie?” he looked up in surprise.
“Yep,” she said sardonically, “My guess is that it’s been going for a while now. Lots of stuff makes sense now.”
Miro studied her face. Her usual bubbly demeanor had been replaced with sadness. She took a long swig of her drink. Tears fell from her eyes as she spoke softly, “Papa was right about him. He was right all along.” Miro took a step toward her and she backed away. “I wanted so much to make it work. He was perfect from the outside.”
“Not perfect for you,” he tried to comfort her, “He treated you bad.”
“My stupid stubborness got me into this mess,” she cried, “I wanted to prove everyone wrong. I wanted to prove my papa wrong. I wanted to prove you wrong. I gave up my dream for someone who never really loved me- at least not in the way I loved him.”
Miro reached over and took the glass from her hand. He walked over to the sink and poured the contents out. She watched him silently and without opposition. “Have you eaten?” he asked. She shook her head no. He nodded his head, “We order pizza and talk” Rory walked away as Miro used his phone to order pizza. He found her seating on the large sectional in the family room. She eyed him with curiosity as he sat on the opposite end.
“Why are you here, Jäbä?” she finally asked, “Isn’t there a party at Seggy’s tonight?”
“You need a friend tonight,” he answered quickly.
“Oh,” she replied, “Why do you want to be my friend, Jäbä? Why are being so nice to me?”
He looked up in surprise, “I am nice to you because you were nice to me. You help me learn English. Show me ropes.”
“Is it bad that I don’t feel sad about Brayden? Maybe that’s a sign, right?” she asked.
“Good sign,” he answered, “Tell me about dream you gave up for him.”
“I was supposed to go to UT because their program for Sports Management is better than SMU. When he got waitlisted, I switched to stay with him,” she explained. “At UT, I could study abroad. I might even be able to study in Finland and work with Team Finland,” she smiled at the thought, “I know a couple of guys that would have put in a good word for me.”
“It’s not too late,” Miro suggested, “You could still have your dream.”
Rory stared at him for a moment and considered the possibility. She felt a sense of excitement. She mentally went over what she would have to do to procure a transfer. Miro studied her as a smile spread across her face. “You’re right. I could still have my dream,” she said. She stood up and paced as she let her mind embrace the possibilities that awaited her. Suddenly she rushed over to Miro and squeezed him a tight hug. “Thank you Jäbä,” she whispered in his ear, “Thank you for being my friend.”
“Thank you, Aurora, for being my friend,” he squeezed her back.
March 2019
Rory stood in the kitchen and studied her phone. There was an email from the University of Texas admissions office. She tried to will herself open it. She had jumped through hoops to meet the deadlines for transfer. Now she awaited the answer and it sat in her email inbox. Miro walked into the house from the garage. She looked up at him with expectant eyes and he blinked back. Mentally he calculated the date and remembered that the answer should be arriving today. “Good answer?” he asked. He had a front row seat to all of the work that she had put into the transfer. Not only that, the hard work that she continued to do to maintain her 4.0 GPA at SMU.
“It’s here, but I am afraid to open it,” she whispered. He walked over to look over her shoulder at her phone.
“Open it, Aurora. I bet it is good news,” he encouraged.
“I am scared, Jäbä,” she whined, “You do it.”
“You know my English shaky,” he joked as he took the phone.
“You can read the important parts. Tell me,” she pleaded.
He opened the email and skimmed the contents before a smile spread across his face.
“Yes?” she asked quickly.
He nodded his head emphatically, “Yes! You start this fall.”
Rory jumped up and down, “I got in? Jäbä, I really got in?”
“You got in, Aurora,” he cheered. Suddenly Rory threw herself into his arms and he squeezed her tight. They spun around as they both reveled in her joy. He set her back down and she stared up into his eyes. Their hearts raced and they struggled to catch their breath. Rory felt herself drawn to him and before she knew it, they kissed. His hand cradled the back of her head as their mouths opened to each other and he tasted the flavor of her Burt’s Bee vanilla bean lip balm. He groaned softly as his tongue slid across her lips to taste her better. It was delicious and exhilarating at the same time. They were lost in the unexpected thrill of the kiss and didn’t hear her parents arrive home. Jere cleared his throat loudly. Rory and Miro pushed apart quickly. Rory looked from her father to Miro and back again. Her father stared at Miro who looked down in a combination of fear and embarrassment. An uncomfortable silence loomed in the air before Miro spoke. “Rory has news for you,” he said quickly. Rory stared at him for a moment. He never called her Rory. It was always Aurora. Her face pinched in surprise. He turned and walked out of the kitchen.
She looked at her parents who studied her closely, “Ummm, I got into UT. I just got the news today. Jäbä read it to me.” Her father held out his arms and she ran into them. “Papa, are you happy?” she whispered, “Are you proud of me?”
“Always” he said proudly. He let her go so she could hug her mother, Jana. Afterward, they stood in awkward silence. “We should go out and celebrate. I will take you to your favorite restaurant,” her father suggested. “Go invite, Miro. He should come,” he added.
Inside of his bedroom, Miro paced while his mind raced. He drifted back to the memory of their kiss. It felt right and natural although completely unexpected. He was unsure what it meant if anything. “She got in,” he said to himself. It’s not as if he expected her not to get in, but he had never considered the reality of when she got into UT. It was March now. At the latest the Stars season would conclude in June. That is only if they made the Stanley Cup Finals. After that, he would go back home to Finland. She would be in Austin when he returned. He thought of Brayden and how she had given up her dream for him. Would she do the same for him? Could he allow her to do the same?
He was absorbed in thought when Rory knocked softly on Miro’s door, “Jäbä? Can I come in?” The door opened and he stood to the side. Her eyes searched for any sign of how Miro felt about the kiss, but his face revealed nothing. “My parents are taking me to dinner to celebrate. Do you want to come?” she asked tentatively.
“No, I don’t think it’s a good idea,” he replied, “I think it should just be your family.”
She inhaled sharply, “Are you sure?”
“Yeah,” he answered, “I won’t be home when you get back. I am going to go hang out with Big Rig.” He made a mental note to send a SOS text when Rory left.
“Oh okay,” she mumbled and turned to go.
“Aurora,” he called as she walked down the hall. She turned to look at him. “I am proud for you.
“Thanks,” she responded quietly.
Later that night
Miro entered the house quietly. The Lehtinens didn’t have very many rules for the young defenseman while he stayed in their house, but coming in at two AM would certainly be frowned upon. He had just returned from hanging out at Big Rig’s apartment where they had played video games for a few hours. He walked through the house and stopped suddenly when he saw Rory sitting at the bottom of the stairs. “Hey,” he said, “why are you up?”
“I wanted to talk to you,” she said quietly, “about earlier.”
“Oh,” he replied, “You mean the kiss?”
“Yeah,” she answered in Finnish, “Do you regret it?”
His eyebrows shot up in surprise. “Regret? No, I don’t regret it,” he answered back in Finnish. He sat next to her on the stairs. She looked at him with questions in her eyes. He looked down and took a deep breath. He had been thinking all night of how to discuss what had happened. Even though he though he had a prepared answer, when he looked at her pretty face so full of hope and promise, all the words escaped him. There was the answer he WANTED to say and the answer he NEEDED to say. “Aurora, the kiss was amazing. I don’t regret it, but I don’t think it should happen again,” he said gently. The disappointment was written all over her face. “You gave up your dream for Brayden once. I can’t let you give your dream for me. I don’t think that we can work as anything other than friends. It’s not right,” he explained in Finnish.
The pain of rejection stung Rory and she spit out quickly in Finnish, “Presumptuous of you to think I would give up my dream over a single kiss. You’re right. We are better off as friends. I am glad that we cleared that up.” She got up and started up the stairs.
“Aurora,” he called quietly.
She turned, “It’s fine, Miro. We’re friends. It’s all fine.” It was his turn to flinch at the sound of his name. Rory stormed up the stairs and slammed her door before throwing herself on the bed. Miro got up slowly and climbed the stairs. He paused outside of her door. The sound of her crying was barely audible and it killed him. “I’m sorry, Aurora, '' he whispered before returning to his room.
May 7th, 2021- St. Louis
Rory stood in the hotel lobby waiting for the Stars players to return from the Enterprise Center. The Stars had been knocked out of the playoffs in a devastating loss in double overtime. She texted her father who confirmed that the team would return to the hotel that night instead of flying back to Dallas. Rory and Miro had seemingly recovered from the awkwardness of their kiss and his subsequent rejection of her. She focused on school and he focused on his play and the playoffs. There were still occasional hang-outs but the laughter didn’t flow as freely. Their shared times together were punctuated by awkward times of silence. Still she cared deeply for him and it had nearly broken her heart to watch him in the handshake line.
There was a subtle buzz in the air when the team started walking into the lobby. Various Stars fans cheered while a group of Blues fans jeered. “Jäbä,” she called to Miro as passed her. He looked over and she gave a bright smile. He reluctantly walked to her and allowed her to hug him. She felt the tension in his body and released the hug. “You played so well,” she said enthusiastically.
“We lost,” he said bluntly.
“I know. I am just trying to cheer you up, Jäbä” she replied.
“Maybe I don’t want to be cheered up,” he chided.
“Are you mad at me? What have I done?” she said in surprise.
“No, I just don’t want to be cheered. I want to be alone,” he blurted out.
“Okay, Jäbä,” she said meekly, “I will see you tomorrow.”
He nodded and turned to the elevator. He made the long walk to his room and replayed the conversation in his mind. He had been exceptionally curt and rude to her attempt at support. “Stupid,” he thought, “She was just trying to be a good friend.” Miro walked into his room and stared at the bed. “Dammit,” he thought, “I don’t want to leave it like this.” He turned around and left the room. When he turned the corner to walk down the hall to Rorys’ room, he did a double take. Big Rig stood behind Rory as she opened her door. His hand was on the small of her back. When the door opened, Rory turned around and hugged him tightly. Miro blinked and turned and walked away.
The next morning Miro ate his breakfast in silence next to Esa Lindell. Oleksiak walked into the room with a swagger that did not fit the mood of the rest of the team. Seggy looked up and joked, “Big Rig- why are you so happy? You know that we lost, right?”
Oleksiak joked back, “We may have lost but I found someone to ease the pain.” Miro stopped mid-bite and stared at Big Rig. “Gotta love those blondes,” he joked, “They make everything better.”
Esa Lindell glanced over at Miro, “You okay?”
Miro swallowed the bitterness and bile that rose in his throat, “Yeah, never better.”
January 2021
Jere signaled the DJ to lower the music. The Lehtinen family hosted an annual party at the beginning of the season which because of Covid had been delayed to January. Tonight's party served also as a quasi celebration for Rory who graduated in December. She was set to start her dream job in the Stars organization the next week.
Jere spoke into the microphone, “Hello. I want to take a moment to be a proud papa. Pupu, where are you? Come to me.” Rory groaned and sheepishly walked to her father. “Our Aurora completed her degree in Sports Management at the best school in the world. She finished her study abroad with Team Finland and will now start her new job working back at home. Her mother and I could not be more proud. Raise your glass and toast the smartest and most beautiful girl in the room.” She felt her cheeks flush with heat as the guests toasted her. She resisted the urge to look around for Miro to see his response. She was sure that she would find him standing next to a buxom blonde wearing next to nothing.
If she had looked up, she would have seen him standing in the corner by himself, staring at her with a mix of regret and pride. He could not be more proud of the woman that she had grown into. She radiated intelligence and kindness. All of the things that drew him to her when they first became friends. He continued to stare in the hopes that she would make eye contact, but it didn’t happen. Instead his eyes fell upon the tall frame of Oleksiak and he remembered that night in St. Louis. It was the last night he had seen Rory face to face.
After that night, he returned to the Lehtinen house, packed his things and took the first flight available back to Finland. Rory had texted and called several times, but he did return them. For all intents and purposes, he ghosted her. During the past two years, he had kept track of her activities via social media. There had been no serious boyfriends and she appeared to be thriving in Austin. He was unaware that she was doing the same. The multiple pictures of Miro with scantily clad women hanging all over him was a disappointment.
Rory circled the room and made all the appropriate small talk. Her stomach churned with the thought of running into Miro. They had not spoken in years, other than a brief "Good Luck" text exchange during the Stanley Cup Finals. A full year had passed since then and the confusion and rejection still felt as real and raw as that summer of 2019. After getting roped into a dreadful conversation with Tyler Seguin and his girlfriend, Rory went outside to get some fresh air.
Despite it being January, the weather was mild and Rory took a deep breath. The familiar scent of Miro's cologne hit her nostrils and she spun around to see him leaning against the pergola. He laughed at her surprise and she shrieked in Finnish "What are you doing here?"
"I was invited by your father," he replied in perfect English. Miro scoffed, “I am surprised that you aren't huddled up to Big Rig.”
Rory eyed him suspiciously, “And why would I do that?”
Miro looked down as the memory of Rory hugging Big Rig flashed in his mind’s eye. The accompanying pang in his heart and stomach felt entirely too familiar. “You did have that one night thing in St. Louis,” he whispered, “I figured that you kept in touch with him.”
Rory’s head twisted around, “We had what?”
“I saw him at your hotel room in St. Louis, Rory,” Miro said quietly.
“And?” she questioned, “Do you know why he was at my hotel room? What do you think happened, Jäbä?” Miro’s head popped at the word Jäbä. She hadn’t called him that since they stopped talking in 2019. She stared into his green eyes and saw the pain. She bit her lip and contemplated the cause of it. “Jäbä, tell me what you think happened.”
“You slept with him. That’s what I think happened,” he bluntly answered.
Rory gasped deeply, “Wait, is that why you started ignoring me? You pushed me away because you thought I slept with Big Rig?” He nodded his head and walked away. He stood on the edge of the pergola and looked over the manicured backyard. “I didn’t, by the way,” she added, “Even if I had, why didn’t you talk to me about it? You just quit talking to me based on an assumption. I was that disposable to you?”
He turned and looked over his shoulder, “What was I supposed to say, Rory?” he said with disgust, “Did you sleep with my liney? After everything we went through, you slept with him?”
Rory stared at him and tried to process what was happening. A feeling of disbelief started which quickly transformed to anger. “Why would it matter if I slept with him, which I did not. We were friends. You threw away our friendship over an assumption?”
“It wasn’t an assumption! I saw what I saw,” Miro asserted before he realized that it, indeed, could have been an assumption. He flashed back and replayed the memory. Big Rig stood behind Rory as she opened her hotel room door, she turned around, they hugged and then he had turned away in disgust. He assumed that Big Rig had gone into the room based on his behavior the next morning. He could have been wrong is the thought that hit him like a two by four in the chest. “What was the reality then? Tell me what happened,” he inquired.
Rory walked over and stood next to him. “You left me in the lobby after the game. I tried to talk to you about the game and you blew me off,” she started to explain. Miro grimaced at the reminder of his childish behavior. “Pretty soon I got surrounded by a group of drunk Blues fans who taunted me about the game,” she continued, “They yelled at me and one of them poured a can of beer on me.” His eyes flashed up at her revelation. “The next thing I remember is the sound of Big Rig’s voice booming ‘Get away from her. Move away from her.’ He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the group. He led me to the elevator bank and made sure I was physically unharmed. He asked if I wanted him to do something about it, but I told him no. I just wanted to get to my room so that’s what he did. Nothing else happened.” She turned and he turned to face her. “I texted you when I got into my room but you never responded. I tried calling and texting but you disappeared into thin air. I needed my friend and you vanished like a ghost.” They stared at each other and reality began to sink into their minds. Rory waited for a response from Miro and was met with stunned silence. "Guess that English isn't so good after all," she sighed. She turned to walk away, “Have a nice life jäbä.”
He watched her walk away with a grimace on his face while he cursed himself in Finnish. Rory put her head down and walked toward the back set of stairs. She dwilled her eyes to contain the tears that threatened to overflow. Where had the sweet boy from Espoo gone? Where had her friend gone? “Hey-heads up Rory,“ she heard Oleksiak joke as he passed her in the hall. She looked up and was reminded of the stupid misunderstanding with Miro and the tenously grasp she had on her emotions released. Tears escaped from their containment and rolled down her face. “Hey, hey, hey- why are you crying, Rory?” Oleksiak asked softly, “This is your party too. What’s wrong?”
She shook her head, “He thinks we slept together. He thinks we had a one night stand in Nashville,” she cried.
“What?” Oleksiak gasped, “Who thinks that?”
“Miro- Miro thinks that,” she sobbed, “That’s why he pushed me away. That’s why he ghosted me.” Oleksiak stared at shoulders that shook with sadness and paused. His mind raced. To be honest, he hadn’t given much thought to why the pretty blonde had been missing from Dallas Stars events. He just assumed that she had been consumed by college life and the natural progression of distancing from her parents and their interests. He assumed that the relationship between the two had fizzled from the distance. His eyebrows furrowed. The news that he had somehow been involved surprised and troubled him. “You told him the truth, right?” Oleksiak asked gently.
Rory nodded her head, “I told him but I am not sure that he believes me.”
“I’ll go talk to him. I will straighten it out, Rory,” he assured her.
“Thanks, but I am not sure that there is a point. The Miro that I loved doesn’t exist anymore, I guess.” she said softly. Her eyes widened at the realization of what she had just admitted. Oleksiak pulled her into a tight side hug and she relaxed into his body.
“Oh he exists, Rory. He puts on an act around a lot of people, but he still exists in there,” he reasoned. He released her from the side hug and bent down to look her in the eyes. “Don’t think that your relationship can’t be repaired,” he implored, “I think it can.”
Rory nodded her head and then gave a soft smile, “Thanks, Big Rig.” She turned and made her way upstairs to her bedroom.
Oleksiak turned and returned to the party. He yelled, “Anyone seen Miro?” There was a collective no response. He turned and made his way outside. He found Heiskanen sitting on a bench under the pergola, staring at the ground. “Hey dude, I hear you might have some questions for me,” he stated bluntly. Miro looked up at the tall specimen of a man in confusion. “Something about a one night stand?” Oleksiak prodded. Miro groaned out loud. “What the hell, Miro?” Oleksiak asked, “You really thought I would make a move on your girl?”
Miro pressed his lips together, “You slept with someone that night. You bragged about it the next morning.”
“Not sure if I would call it bragging, but fair point,” Big Rig.
“So if it wasn’t Rory, who was it?” Miro asked.
“Does it ever matter? It wasn’t your girl. That’s all you need to know,” he answered, “I have too much respect for Rory to refer to her a blonde. Come on, Miro.”
“She’s not my girl. She has never been my girl,” Miro protested.
“Anyone with eyes can see how you feel about her or at least how you FELT about her,” the Canadian scolded the Finn. “We all saw how you were together. Considering that you are sitting here with your head hung down, I think that those feelings haven’t changed,” he continued.
“It won’t work. She doesn’t like me like that,” Miro spoke softly, “At least not anymore. I managed to fuck that up.”
Oleksiak reached over and smacked Miro in the back of his head, “You’re an idiot if you can’t tell that she likes you as more than a friend.”
“Owwwww,” Miro exclaimed, “You didn’t have to hit me.”
“Somebody needs to knock some sense into you,” Oleksiak spoke firmly, “She’s right. You have changed. You are trying to pretend to be someone that you’re not.”
“What do you mean?” Miro asked.
“Look-I like Seggy and Chubbs, but you are not like them. You trying to be this “I don’t give a fuck” player off the ice and it just isn’t you.” Oleksiak answered directly. “Stop pretending to be someone that you are not. You play with all of these puckbunnies when you know in your heart that you are in love with Rory.”
Miro tried to protest and thought about Rory. The pain that he felt when he saw the hug could not be attributed to friendship. The constant longing to see her was unexplainable. It had been years since they had spent time together but he couldn’t get the sound of her laughter out of his head. He smiled when he thought about her smile and the funny jokes she told him.
“What do I do?” Miro asked.
“Go tell her. Go tell her the truth,” Oleksiak spoke bluntly.
“Just like that?” Miro questioned.
“Just like that or I am going to kick your ass in training camp,” Oleksiak joked. Miro got up and punched Big Rig in the arm. “Hey-watch the violence,’ he explained.
“Payback is a bitch, huh?” Miro said as he walked away.
Miro walked up the backstairs and down the hall to Rory’s room. He knocked softly, “Aurora, it’s me-Jäbä.” He got no response, “Can I come in?”
The door suddenly opened and she stood in front of him. “What do you want, Miro?” she sighed.
“I want to explain. I want to tell you what happened,” he answered.
She stood to the side and let him enter. He turned to her and she eyed him warily, “So talk.”
He looked at her and paused. Her physical beauty took his breath away. She was no longer the teenager that he fell in love with. She had grown and matured. Though he would have sworn it would be impossible, she had become even more beautiful. “Ummmm,” he stammered, “Ummmm, first I should say I am sorry.”
“Sorry for what?” she challenged him.
“Sorry for ghosting you,” he replied meekly, “I didn’t know what else to do.” She raised an eyebrow and he continued in Finnish, “I saw you in the hall at the hotel. You’re right. I made an assumption- a wrong assumption. I was just so- I don’t know- when I saw you with him.”
“You were what?” she prodded.
“Jealous!” he spoke quickly in Finnish. “I was out of my mind with jealousy. I didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t admit it after telling you what we should be friends. I couldn’t admit the the truth.”
“What was the truth, Jäbä,” she yelped.
“The truth was,” he paused and continued in Finnish, “The truth is that I love you and the thought of you being with him drove me crazy. I should have said something. I should have told you, but I was afraid. I was afraid I had blown it after our kiss.”
Rory’s jaw dropped, “What did you say?”
Miro looked her into her eyes, “I said that I love you, Aurora.”
Her eyes filled with tears, “When- then or now?”
He stepped towards her and grabbed her hand. He intertwined his fingers into hers, “Both. I loved you from that moment in the kitchen. I loved you every moment that we spent together. I loved you then and I love you now.”
“Really?” she blushed but pulled his body to hers, “All that time?”
Miro slid his arms around her waist, “All that time.”
“That’s good,” she spoke as her lips ghosted over his. “Because I love you too.”
He brought her mouth to his and kissed her with passion. Rory spoke breathlessly, “Say it again.”
“I love you my bunny,” he moaned as he kissed her.
“I love you my Jäbä,” she moaned in return.

So John Cena. How did he meet Shawn and the Undertaker? What is age difference between him and the kids? I have an idea for a fic ...
Give me your fictional family history for Shawn and the Undertaker.
So I did do a single dad au for shawn in which he was a teen dad that ended up with John after the mothers parents bascially said she has more of a future than you so you have to have the kid. Then obviously taker and shawn meet in the wwe and Leon and cassie come along. In that au there would be a 18 year gap between Leon and John. As Leon is born in 2000, cassie 2005 and John 1982. So yeah, it is a big age gap but taker and shawn only get serious after shawn gets clean and well Leon comes along.
But obviously I'm down to hear your idea because in literally any other au I have never thought about how John fits in at all.
Fictional family history? Buckle in because its gonna be a long one.
Takers family tree (without shawn)
(obviously we have no last names for them. I mean taker doesn't even have a proper first name.)
Thomas ??????- Father
Athena ?????- Mother
Undertaker - well him
Kane ?????? (Is his last name technically bearer?)-step brother
Paul bearer- Step father. (Ew gross, I hated writing that)
Shawns family (without taker)
(Bare in mind, I never use his family, they dont get mentioned by name as shawn cuts them off once he gets away from them, kayfabe obviously though i do have beef with shawns actual father)
Mr Michaels- Father
Ms Michaels- Mother.
?????? Michaels- oldest brother.
?????? Michaels- sister
????? Michaels- brother
Shawn Michaels- well..him.
Now the family of destruction. Our beloved, family.
Athena and Thomas- very deceased grandparents. (Blood relative)
Paul bearer- Step Grandfather (Leon hates it)
Vince Mcmahon- Grandad (they question it sometimes, don't we all, but he's always been there)
Linda Mcmahon- Grandma (wonder what she's up to these days)
The Undertaker- Dad
Jose lothario- the best grandpa they got.
Sensational Sherri- the best granny they got
Shawn Michaels- Papa
John Cena- Eldest son (either adopted by Shawn once he joins wwe or yk single dad au, which then his name is John Cena Michaels)
Leon Michaels- Middle Son (makes sense honestly)
Cassidy Michaels- Youngest Daughter (slayyy)
Kane- Uncle (the only blood one.)
Charlie doggo- their immortal German shepherd.
Now, it gets long and messy. Let's go.
Aunties-
Chyna
Stephanie Mcmahon
Goldust
Uncles-
Kevin Nash (Leon's fav)
Scott Hall (cassies fav. Him and hunter argue)
Hunter Hearst Helmsley (against his will, but he's cassies fav, him and Scott argue)
Sean Waltman
Goldust (yes he gets two spots. Fight me)
Stone cold Steve Austin (barely mentioned but takers gotta have people here too.)
Shane Mcmahon
Special mentions-
Randy orton, Dave Batista both view the kids as their siblings, as they are close to hunter they basically also saw the kids grow. (Taker does not let the kids be alone with flair. I make the rules here.)
Leon sees Finn Balor as a brother. That demon connection tbh.
Leon views Alexa bliss as a little sister.
Cassie sees Adam Cole as a brother, jokes he's Shawn and Hunters love child making them step siblings.
She also views liv Morgan as a sister, claiming she's the sister she always wanted.
And I believe that's everything. The kids grew up in the business so they've basically always viewed everyone as a big family, especially some of the older guys like roddy and pat. It's just this list is the real main guys that I include in my stories.
Oh, even more special mention.
Leon's eventual husband- Drew Mcintyre
Cassies eventual girlfriend- Rhea Ripley

Loved Her First Chapter 71
AO3
Bree and Faith exit onto the shore. Bree with Finn in one arm and Hope in the other. Faith cradles Grace and Mercy. They are followed by their husbands, loaded down with trunks. They join the rest of their family.

Fergus holds his son tight by the hand while Marsali has enough to bare with her at term pregnancy. They have made it, just barely. Mama Claire and she agree that the baby will be arriving soon.

Jamie and Murtagh have unloaded many trunks and now the men help Claire with the twins. Caelen and Ainslie are both fascinated by the feel of steady ground under their feet. They are toddling around their papa and Godfather’s legs.

The group will spend the night at an inn before heading off to the parcel of land that will be Fraser’s Ridge.

The children and their parents head on weary feet towards the inn. Their luggage  will be seen to by porters, who will load it into several wagons for the upcoming journey. Claire holds onto her medicine bag. She has a strong feeling she will be needing it for Marsali before the night ends.

The triplets start to fuss as their weary parents carry them to the next stage on their journey. “Hold on lasses. Your mama must get to a place where she can feed you.” Ian soothes Hope while balancing what his family will need overnight.

“Faith are you sure you don’t want me to help with their feeding?”

Faith, rocking Mercy and Grace against her, smiles at her sister. “I am sure but thank you.”

Marsali, meanwhile, makes a noise that has her mama’s attention. “Marsali?”

She grimaces. “Aye, I think it is time.”  Fergus turns a bit pale. “Come my love. At least it wasn’t on the ship.”

“Exactly. Jamie and Fergus, see to the little ones. I will see to the coming one.” Claire takes her by the arm and they hurry towards the inn.

Faith and Ian make it to their room, where he rocks Mercy as his wife feeds her sisters. He lets her suck on his finger. They take turns with who has to wait between the two oldest. Hope is always feed as she is still noticeably smaller then her sisters .

“Mercy darling, patience.” He coos as he rocks her. “Faith, I understand that you want to do this on your own but what harm would there be in…” Her glare silences him.

“Is she hurting your finger Ian? Is her little mouth harming you? Understand? I know you are trying but you have no idea how hard this is. None. But, they came from my body and will be nurtured by the same.”

Meanwhile in the birthing room.

“My goodness Marsali, you are almost ready!” Claire is surprised at what she finds when she exams her.

“I was determined to have this one steady land.” She grunts as another pain runs through her.

“Just so. You shall and soon.”

A room over.

“So mon mhac are you ready for another?” Jamie asks. He sits on the edge of the bed, rocking his bonus children to sleep. They still nurse but with their mama not available, papa’s rocking usually does the trick.

Fergus watches Germain play with the sea shells he collected on the way up. “Oui, I must be, eh? Germain is a handful true but he is mine. I love my children papa. I adore Marsali and the family we are building. As many children as God wishes to give us, we will accept.”

Jamie nods sagely. He understands where the lad is coming from. At his age, with Faith on the way, he felt the same. Now, with the benefit of many years under his belt, and the weariness caused by the twins, he isn’t as sure. Not that he would trade his babies for anything. He is just tired.

Then he thinks of Claire, also wore down and in the middle of seeing their latest grandchild in the world. Who is he to complain. “Aye, that is the way of it. Though, if you wish, Claire has ways to keep them from coming.”

His son shakes his head. “Thank you. But non, we shall have them as God intended.”

Bree winces at the sound of her sister in labor. She has her own secret, one that she will soon make known. She is expecting her second. The sound of labor makes her feel a bit woozy.

Murtagh paces in the hall outside the rooms. He is praying for all his Godchildren.

“That’s it Marsali, you are almost there. I see the head.” She grunts and strains harder. “A few more like that.”

She eases the head out and the rest of the body follows. She smiles at her latest grandchild.

“Mama Claire?”

“You have a perfectly healthy lass.” She hands her the baby. They are all crying.

Hi I saw your request were open and had a possible idea for dad Tommy Shelby if you’re interested. It would be a Tom x reader where they have a 6 mon girl and Tom has to bring her to a meeting one day w/o his wife. And while hes trying to be all scary she’s just all over him grabbing everything (hair, ears, collar, wiskey, eyelashes…) saying dadaaa sweetly on his hip. And the men talking to (maybe Alfie+co) r trying to be serious(not die) maybe she likes Alfie’s beard & wants him to hold her😂
hi! i love this idea, sweet girl!dad tommy kills me 🥺 word count: 1.9k
Tumblr media
“Tommy, I told you this weeks ago!” you sighed, pulling Edie higher on your hip. Your sweet girl was chewing on her fingers, and she watched her father cross the parlor to retrieve his trusty peaked cap from by his chair. “Ada and Pol and I are going into town today, we made the plans practically a lifetime ago!”
“Mouse, you know I can’t bring her to a meeting,” Tommy mumbled. “It’s no place for a baby.”
“Well, I can’t bring her,” you said. “I refuse. I need one day away, or I’ll go insane. Please, Tommy, she’ll be good, just give her a bottle before the meeting starts and she’ll sleep through the whole thing.”
"And if she doesn't?" Tommy asked, and you rolled your eyes.
"Then, that's when you improvise," you told him, and you held Edie out for him to take. "You're smart, Tom, and you're a great father. You'll think of something. Now, take the little angel, and I'll be back this afternoon."
Tommy took little Edie into his arms, and her hands went instantly to his tie, playing with the end of it. Even though she was hardly six months old, she was perceptive, and the black and grey tie that Tommy wore was one of her favorites because of how soft it was. At least, that's why you and Tommy assumed that she loved to play with it. He watched you take your handbag in your grasp, and you planted a kiss on Edie's forehead and one on his cheek before you left the house. The room was quiet for a moment as Tommy tried to gather his thoughts together, and Edie's tiny coo pulled his eyes to her. "Alright then, little Miss Edith," he started. "Let's get that bottle going, eh?"
Tumblr media
Tommy was thankful to find that, on some small level, you were right. He held his little Edie close to his chest and gave her a bottle of warm milk, and the wee girl had hardly finished it before she was yawning and curling up in Tommy’s chest. It reminded him of when she was newborn and would fall asleep on his bare chest, just the smallest thing in his grasp. She had yet to grow much hair, and what she had reminded Tommy of when Finn and John were little (and, likely, what he looked like): her hair was a sort of ginger, almost blonde but not quite, and her eyes are startlingly blue. Arthur had commented once that he hated when Edie looked at him because she had “adult eyes”, whatever that meant. But Tommy was proud of his girl for being able to intimidate her uncle; it boded well for the future.
Tommy had Finn help him haul Edie’s bassinet into his office, where his meeting was. He was meeting with Alfie Solomons, a fierce gangster that he had a fondness for. In another life, they might have even been friends. But now, they were foes, and this meeting hopefully was the one that helped mend that gap a bit. It was important to Tommy, and he settled Edie in her bassinet and kissed her head. “Please stay asleep,” he whispered into her soft skin. “Just for an hour, that’s all I ask, my little ladybug. Please be good for your old papa.”
The air seemed to change the moment that Alfie Solomons entered the room. The atmosphere became thicker and more uncomfortable, and Tommy straightened his vest as he stood from his desk. “Solomons,” he greeted the man, and her shook his hand firmly.
“Shelby,” Alfie replied. “And, umm…” He pointed towards the bassinet, where Edie was still sleeping soundly, and he said, “Who’s’it over here?”
Tommy sighed. “My daughter,” he said. “My wife asked me to watch her while she went to lunch with my sister.”
“What’s her name?” Alfie asked.
Tommy furrowed his eyebrows at Solomons’ curiosity, but he pursed his lips and answered all the same. “Edith Violet,” he said. “We call her Edie. She’s only six months.”
“Edith Violet Shelby,” Solomons repeated. “And she’s gonna join the business in a few years, yeah?”
Tommy chuckled. “Maybe more than a few years,” he said. “But let’s get down to business, how about?”
Tommy’s foot jiggled as he talked to Solomons, and his eyes kept floating over to Edie at the window. Every so often, she would give a little squeak as she slept, and an instinct pulled at Tommy’s chest to fetch her and bounce her to make sure she was okay. “Now, you understand my position,” Solomons continued. “We don’t want to be known as people who do business with distrustful people, yeah?”
“Of course,” Tommy said. “I didn’t know that the Peaky Blinders had a reputation as distrustful people.”
“You don’t,” Solomons said. “But that’s not to say that, one day, you won’t gain that. All I’m saying is that, if your reputation changes, Shelby, we would have to rethink our—“
“Dada!”
Tommy froze up, and he felt the blood rush from his face. He instantly looked towards Edie and found her awake, standing up, braced against the side of her bassinet. Her wispy hair was a little matted, her cheeks full of sleepy color, but she was fully awake. But that wasn’t why Tommy froze. Her first word. Of course Edie’s first word was when you weren’t around to hear it.
“One moment,” Tommy sighed. “I need to speak to my associate.”
Alfie chuckled and nodded, and Tommy got up from his chair to pick up Edie. “I thought you were going to sleep for an hour, like we agreed,” he whispered to her, and she tugged at his tie again. “It's hardly been 20 minutes. And your first word... You know how upset your mumma will be that she missed it?”
“That was her first word, was it?” Alfie asked, and he turned to looked at Tommy and Edie. “Girl loves her papa. What a treat.”
Tommy bounced Edie for a moment, and he brought her back over to his seat. “I only have a few more things, Solomons,” he said. “Where your family doesn’t like business with people you can’t trust, my family isn’t too keen on doing business with people who lie. You wouldn’t lie to us, would ya?”
Alfie chuckled as Edie reached to grab at Tommy’s hair, and she mumbled, “Da, da, da… Dada!” Thankfully for Tommy, it didn’t seem like Alfie cared too much that Edie was being a bother. In fact, he seemed charmed by her. Maybe that was a good thing.
“We’re not in the business of lying,” Alfie replied. “We’re honest with our people, ain’t we? We’re gonna be honest with you.”
“Good,” Tommy said, and his hold became firm on Edie as she tries to wriggle her way out of his arms. She was reaching for Alfie, and, if Tommy knew his daughter, she was after his long beard. “No, my love, you’re staying here.”
"Let me see the little thing," Alfie said, extending his arms out. "I ain't got any of my own but, fuck, I wish."
Tommy chanced a look down at Edie, still wiggling like a worm in his arms, and he carefully passed her over to Alfie. She cooed up at the fearsome gang leader and tangled a hand in his thick beard, and Alfie smiled at her. A real smile. Tommy had never seen Alfie Solomons smile like that. "Jesus, that's some gaze she's got," he chuckled. "Them big blue eyes are gonna get her in trouble one day."
"My brother finds it unnerving," Tommy said, settling on the edge of his desk. "Says they're 'adult eyes'."
"Definitely her father's eyes," Alfie said, bouncing Edie on his knee. She squealed with laughter and tugged at Alfie's tie, one fist still in his beard. "Her mother's beautiful like her too, yeah?"
"Even more," Tommy said with a nod. "Edith's gorgeous, but her mother... A real knock-out. She could be one of those Hollywood actresses, she's such a looker."
"Beautiful wife and daughter," Alfie said. He lightly tickled Edie under her chin, and Edie giggled. "And ya love 'em, I can tell. You'd die for them?"
"Of course," Tommy nodded. "I'd do anything for my girls."
Alfie carefully stood from his chair, settling Edie on his hip, and, when he spoke, he spoke to her. "I quite like your daddy over here," he said. "D'ya like your daddy?" Edie sputtered and kicked her legs a little, and she cried out her first word again. "You've got yourself a deal there, Shelby. I'd be glad to do business with a man who's proud of his family."
Tommy tried not to let his excitement show, even though his body was flushing with adrenaline. He got the deal. Edie got him the deal. "Thank you, Mr. Solomons," he said, and Alfie chortled.
"Bah, don't call me that," he said. "I'll be Uncle Alfie from now on, yeah? What'ja think of that, Miss Edie?"
Edie babbled and tugged at Alfie's beard again, and the gangster laughed. Before he could say anything, though, the door to Tommy's office creaked open. You stood still and silent, examining the scene before you, and you swallowed thickly at the sight of whatever business partner of Tommy's was currently holding your daughter.
"Ah, here's my wife now," Tommy said, extending a hand in your direction. Dutifully, you went to stand by his side, and he wrapped an arm around your waist. "Alfie, this is my wife, the beautiful Mrs. Shelby."
"Nice to meet you, ma'am," Alfie told you, and you watched Edie tug at his beard and coo up at him. "I was just telling your mister here how lovely your little girl is."
"She's taken a liking to Mr. Solomons," Tommy told you, squeezing your hip.
"To my beard, rather, methinks," Alfie laughed.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Mr. Solomons," you said, but Alfie shook his head.
"It's no bother," Alfie told you. "Now, Tommy— Can I call ya Tommy? Feel like we're past those titles and shit now— next time I see you, I expect to see this little bug too. She's gotta be close with her Uncle Alfie, yeah?"
"Of course," Tommy nodded. Edie had noticed you by now, and she had fully turned her attention to you. She was wriggling out of Alfie's arms, babbling "Ma, ma, ma", and Tommy suddenly laughed. "Oh shit, mouse, I'm afraid you missed something rather important. It seems Edie's got a lot to say."
Your heart sank, and you quickly took her into your arms. "Oh no, what did she do?" you asked. "If it's anything bad, I'm blaming you, Tom."
"No, no," Tommy said. "It's good. She said her first word: dada."
"Dada!" Edie echoed, and your eyes started to well with tears. You tiny girl, once just a dream to you, had said her first word.
"Oh, Tommy!" you gasped. "And I missed it! I missed my daughter saying her first bleeding word, Jesus Christ..."
"There will be plenty more to come," Tommy assured you, and he planted a kiss in your hair.
"It's like me mum used to say," Alfie started. He grabbed his jacket from the back of his chair and shrugged it on as he talked. "'Ya spend the first year teachin' em how to walk and talk, and the next seventeen teachin' 'em to sit down and shut up'."
"Quite true, Alfie," Tommy laughed, slapping him on the back good-naturedly. "Let's get a drink some day, yeah?"
"S'long as you're buying," Alfie chuckled deep in his chest. "Have a good day, Dada."

Yes time for some fluff
Warnings: Fluff, Protective Mikaelsons, Elena and Co being the worst
Elijah held Y/N watching people dance and talk, the Mikaelsons had threw a ball well more like Esther did. The Original witch was surprised to see the girl under her children's care, a Fæ that both Klaus and Rebe kah found when a group of vampires was going to drain the girl.
"Humm tired babygirl?" Elijah asked noticing how Y/N laying her head on his shoulder as he kissed her hand.
"A little." Y/N mumbled as Elijah smiled gently swaying with her. Since finding her Elijah took the role of father as Klaus took to be a second father while Rebekah, Kol and Finn took the role of aunt and uncle seriously. Y/N was the last pure blood Fæ from what the siblings learned when they found out both her parents were killed by vampires.
"Elijah?"
"Oh hello Elena." Elijah said getting Y/N's attention looking at the human before setting back against Elijah's neck.
"I didn't know you had a daughter."
"Yes, Rebekah and Niklaus found her since then she has been our youngest." Elijah said softly kissing Y/N's temple. Elena looked over the girl as her skin seemed to have a soft glow as her baby blue princess dress brought out more of the color of the girls eyes. A rose gold bracelet hanged off the girl's wrist to help control her magic.
"Oh....can we talk?"
"Alright." Elijah said placing Y/N down before crouching down to her eye level brushing her cheek gently.
"I'll go find papa."
"Okay babygirl. Be careful?" Elijah says kissing her head watching her walk off then turn his attention to Elena. Kol found the girl first scooping her up making her giggle wrapping her little arms around his neck.
"Where are you off too?"
"To find papa but I can hang around you uncle."
"Good." Kol says placing the girl on his shoulders not trusting Damon and Stefan sense they were trying to kill the family. Y/N skipped beside her uncle when in a blur Kol was tackled and Y/N was picked up making her scream getting the family's attention. What they find was Kol laying with a snapped neck and one of Y/N's ribbons on the floor.
"That's it the two dies."
Y/N sat scared trembling wanting her family as her magic had set a protective bubble but it was only a matter of time before they broke it. Bonnie sat muttering trying to get though the bubble while Damon watched as Elena looked at the girl with Caroline.
"What is she?"
"She is a Fæ or better known as a fairy. And from the smell she is pure blood." Damon said licking his bottom lip making Y/N shiver as her fear grew stronger making the bubble stronger.
"Shouldn't she be smaller?"
"Not all fairies look like what stories say. We should be careful, she young and her magic is pretty strong."
"Right Stef." Damon says as the bubble shattered and Y/N quickly got off of the chair running to a corner and her magic lashed out.
"Damon, she's scared....maybe we should let her go." Caroline said seeing how scared Y/N looked as tears rolled down her cheeks clearly shaking.
"No we need to know how to kill the Mikaelsons and she knows how." Damon said grabbing the girl making her whimpered as Damon sat her back in the chair.
"We can't compel her. Fairies can't be compelled so how are we to get the information?." Stefan says as Damon smirked.
"I have an idea."
The front door to the house flew open just an hour later and Damon was against the wall with a hand in his chest and the young vampire saw a every angry Klaus while Kol had Stefan in a head lock also quite angry. Elijah stepped inside scary calm there was a chill in the air as Finn had Caroline.
"Now Damon, you are going to tell us where our little one is or this stake will kill you brother." Elijah said tone deadly calm as he settled the tip of the stake against Stefan's chest as the vampire tried to get free but Kol held him well. Damon's eyes widen in fear flinching remembering Klaus held his heart.
"Don't hurt him!"
"Tell us where Y/N is." Elijah said calming pressing the stake in Stefan's chest an inch making Stefan hisswhile Damon struggled against Klaus but stopped when the hybrid squeezed his heart.
"You can't kill him!"
"Then tell us where our little one is." Elijah says still calm as he pushed the stake deeper barely touching Stefan's heart.
"Just one more push and your brother is dead. Now our girl?" Elijah says looking at Damon who had blood running down from his mouth and Caroline was watching finding it hard to believe this was Elijah.
"She is right here." Elena said coming downstairs with Y/N next to her and Elijah pulled the stake from Stefan crouching down holding his arms out to her. Y/N ran to Elijah hugging him as Elijah picked her up kissing her head.
"Shh babygirl, you are safe now. I'll take her home and get her cleaned up. Teach them a lesson Niklaus." Elijah says walking out as Klaus smirked.
"Shall we brothers."
Elijah was washing Y/N giving her a bubble bath as Rebekah came in with bandages and both noticed how the girl cling to them. The only wound was on her wrist and Elijah let Rebekah dress her and cleaned the wound. Elijah set up Y/N's bed laying on it as Y/N came out quickly made her way to him and he held her close with Rebekah joining.
"Night night daddy and Beka."
"Goodnight babygirl." Elijah says knowing that Y/N was going to need all of the affection to heal. Rebekah cuddled closer sandwiched Y/N between them. Later that night the other three got home and cleaned up they got into the young fæ's bed.
"Did you kill them?"
"No, but made them think twice before taking her again." Klaus muttered kissing Y/N's head as Elijah chuckled. They all settled for the night while planning to spend the whole day showering Y/N with affection and promising to protect her Always and Forever.

Logan smiled at Katie as she climbed off of his knee to go join in on the game of tag that Leo and Finn had initiated. Leo spotted Katie running towards him and scooped her up, throwing her into the air.
“I have Katie on my team!” he shouted to Finn, “you can’t catch us!” He took off, with Katie bobbing up and down on his shoulders. Finn took off after them, running circles around the Dumais’ back garden.
Logan sipped his drink, head tilted a little as he watched on in admiration. He could stay like that for days, watching his boys, no matter what they were doing.
Finn tagged Leo’s hip and Leo made a show of falling over, shielding Katie so that she didn’t hurt herself.
“I’ve been tripped! Ref, I’ve been tripped!” he called out, Katie laughing senseless in his arms.
“You’ll be fined for embellishment there, love! Fish barely touched you!” Logan called back. Leo and Finn laughed as Finn took Leo’s hand, helping him up. He placed a kiss on Leo’s forehead and one on Katie’s too. Logan can only assume Finn whispered something about Leo and Katie being ‘it’ because he took off again.
Logan felt the seat next to him dip slightly. He looked over to find Pascal sipping his own drink, watching the shenanigans from the three playing in the garden.
“You’re smiley, mon fils,” Pascal started, “and you’re blushing.” Pascal pinched Logan’s rosy cheek between his thumb and forefinger and gave his face a shake. Logan batted Pascal’s hand away.
“I- just-“ Logan started.
“I understand,” Pascal laughed, thinking back to all those times Celeste had him a blubbering mess.
“I had the exact same look on your face the first time I met Celeste’s family and she was running around with her nieces and nephews.”
“I’m going to spend the rest of my life with them, just you watch.”
“I’m counting on it, mon fils, I’m counting on it,” Pascal laughed, clapping Logan on the shoulder.
Logan sat up a bit straighter, thoughts barrelling through his mind.
“Papa, how did you propose to Celeste?” he asked quietly.
Pascal’s face lit up like a Christmas tree.
“Well...”

that’s my family
ok so little preface. I love love love the idea of coops with a daughter and her growing up with the biggest, sweetest family ever, so I made Thea. I’ve never posted on tumblr, let alone released my own writing so bear with me, but I had to put the idea down, so here it is. all characters are the incredible creation of @lumosinlove, but thea is mine :) <3
“Mr. and Mr. Lupin, welcome! I believe we've met before, on back to school night?”
Remus reached out to shake the teacher’s hand. Sirius gazed around the 3rd grade classroom. Art projects and geography posters plastered the walls. The teacher’s name, Ms. Bernard, was printed in copper letters on the front of her desk, to match the students name tags on the front of their desks. Sirius found Thea’s desk, smack in the middle of the front row. He smiled at the thought of Thea’s hand shooting up ambitiously at any question she knew, thrilled to share her knowledge.
“Yes, I believe that’s when we last met.” Sirius said, sharing a nod with Remus.
“Well, please come have a seat.”
Sirius pulled out one of the 3rd grade sized chairs sitting around a table at the front of the room.
“Oop, not quite hockey player sized.” Remus laughed, as he sat in the tiny chair, his knees barley fitting under the table. Ms. Bernard grabbed a folder off her desk, and joined them at the table. Sirius couldn’t help but feel anxious about the reason they were there. The teacher had only sent a brief email, asking him and Remus to come in for a meeting regarding Thea. He didn’t think Thea was in trouble. She couldn’t be. Or had he made a mistake as a parent?
Sirius felt Remus’ hand brush his own, linking them together under the table. Remus could tell Sirius was anxious.
“By the way, and I should’ve told you in the email, but Thea is absolutely not in any trouble.” Remus let out an exaggerated sigh.
“Thank goodness, we can call the boogey man and cancel his visit.” He smiled, as Sirius laughed heartily, his anxieties eased.
“In fact,” Ms. Bernard continued, “It's quite the opposite of trouble.” She pulled a typed paper out of the folder. “This past week, I gave the students an assignment to write all about their families. I’ve made it a point as a teacher to teach students about the importance of understanding and respecting our differences, and wanted to begin with the different types of families there are. It’s also a way for me to get to know the students since we’re only a few weeks into school.” She slid the paper across the table towards Sirius and Remus.
“Everyone did great with the assignment, but Thea...Thea’s family essay blew me away.” Sirius picked up the essay, scooting his chair closer to Remus so they could both read it. Thea was a smart kid, but what could be so phenomenal about a 3rd grade essay that the teacher had called the parents in? Remus began to read out loud.
“My Family
By Theadora Celeste Lupin
My name is Theadora but everyone calls me Thea, just because. Family is very important to me, because it’s always around me. My parents are Remus and Sirius Lupin. They are both my dad’s and I love them to the moon and back. They play hockey for the Gryffindor Lions. They drive me places, help me get better at hockey, and help me grow. Most kids don’t have two dads, or think it’s weird, but I don’t. They love me more than anything else, and that’s all that matters. My Papa’s mom and dad are Celeste and Pascal Dumais, and they are my grandma and grandpa. Meme Celeste teaches me to cook, and bon papa Dumo coaches my hockey team. My dad’s parents are Hope and Lyall Lupin. I call them hopey and lemon. We make the best pies together.
My papa’s brother, my uncle Regulus, is super smart, and he always helps me with my homework. He always watches movies with me too. My dad’s brother, my uncle Julian, always takes me to the park and lets me have ice cream before dinner sometimes. My uncle Leo calls me darlin’, and has a funny southern accent. We talk in french sometimes to confuse uncle Finn. Uncle Logan always braids my hair for me, and lets me wear his hats. Uncle Finn always has dance parties with me, and we build pillow forts when he babysits me.
My aunt Lily takes me shopping for clothes, and takes me out for girls days. She knows the girly things that Papa and Dad don’t know. Uncle James taught me Mario Kart, and always lets me win. Harry is James and Lily’s son, and he’s like my big brother. He always looks out for me, and lets me skate with him and his friends. My aunt Natalie and Uncle Kasey and Uncle Alex are so much fun. Aunt Natalie is a really pretty singer, and Uncle Alex can play the guitar. Uncle Kasey has long hair like me, so he lets me put it in crazy hairstyles.
There are a lot of people in my family, but everyone means a lot to me, and everyone means something different to me. I love my whole family to the end of infinity. My family may be different than yours, but it's still a family. And I wouldn’t trade them for anything.”
A tear rolled down Remus’ cheek, and dotted the paper he and Sirius were still holding.
“Wow.” Sirius let out, desperately holding back the tidal wave of emotions threatening to spill.
“It’s really think it’s special how much love she holds for so many people.” Ms. Bernard smiled at them softly. “I thought it would be best if I shared it with you two before she reads it to the class. I think Thea has a wonderful perception of others emotions and a great capacity for empathy, she’s an incredible kid.”
Sirius’ heart felt like it would burst with pride. In this moment, the doubts he had about himself as a father, becoming like his own father, disappeared.
“I’ll send you home with this copy, so you can share it with your family, it needs to be shared.” She put the paper back in the folder and handed it to Remus.
“Thank you for having us in, it’s comforting to know how well Thea is doing, she’s in the hands of a great educator.” Sirius shook Ms. Bernard's hand, and waved as he and Remus left the classroom.
“I’m going to give ma fifille the biggest hug I’ve ever given her when we get home.” Sirius wiped tears from the corners of his eyes.
“You think you’re a mess? Just wait until we let James read this.” Remus linked arms with his husband, who let out a knowing laugh.
“We have the best kid.” Remus mused, and leaned over to kiss Sirius’ cheek.
“We sure do.”

Finn wondering if Jimmy and Sassy feelings would get hurt if he ask for a dog
"Hey, darling, how was your day with grandma?", you wondered as your little boy ran to your arms. Since you and Max were renovating your home office, you thought it would be best that Finn spent his day with his grandparents, allowing you and Max to work quickly without the added worry of your son accidentally touching something dangerous and hurting himself. Your husband had been the one to pick him up from your parents' house, "Finn, do you want to tell mama what you told me in the car?", Max nudged, pulling your son to sit on his lap once he sat in the office chair next to yours as you tidied your desk, organising your materials into the drawers and pots.
"Oh, that's right!", he beamed, "you know grandma and grandpa have Juno", he mentioned your parents' dog. She had been in the family even before you moved out and the sweet labrador was the delight of both the older and younger family members, even Finn didn't escape it.
"I was just asking papa if he thought Jimmy and Sassy would be mad or hurt if we got a dog", he stated, looking at you as he explained the situation, "I know we've had them in the family for a really long time, they were here before I was even born!", he exclaimed, "and before mama, too!".
Chuckling at his antics and at his cuteness, you nodded, "That's right, Jimmy and Sassy have been with us for some time", you noted, giving him your full attention.
"But I don't want to hurt them because they'll think they're being replaced, but they won't be! Our hearts will grow bigger to have another pet in our lives!", he extended his arms before he slumped down, "what do you think mama? Papa said I also had to run the idea by you", he pouted.
"Well, having a dog is certainly different that having cats, Finn", you tried your best to no destroy his hopes straight away, "cats are very independent, they mind their own business, and a dog requires a little bit more attention, and with papa being gone for a good chunk of the week at times, it might be a bit too much for us, and the cats might not react well", you said, "not because they will think we don't love them, but because it will be someone new in the house".
"I get what you mean, papa said the same", he looked up at Max who nodded, "it's going to be another responsibility that, realistically, will fall on you and maybe we should wait until we have more time in our hands", he smiled, holding your hand in his and playing with your fingers and your wedding band.
"How about we go and play with the cats, though? Me and papa spent the day drilling and I think we need to gain some extra points with them", you winked at your little boy, seeing him run off to find his furry friends, "I know I'm biased, but he's so cute when he's like this, makes my heart all melty inside", you cooed, pretending to squish his cheeks, "your genetics made him incredibly cute!".
(Thank you for your submission ✨️)

This sucks and literally isn't even 200 words but I'm still trying to write something every day and I'm glad I at least wrote this even though I wish I had motivation and ideas to make it longer. Leave any ideas you have.
“‘N’at ones Gampa Dumo. N’at ones Uncle James. N’at Finn, an Leo, an Gan, an Kas.” Fizzy pointed out all her uncles on the picture that was hanging in her room.
“Who’s that?” Sirius pointed to himself.
“Dat you Papa!” The two-year-old shouted.
“That’s me?”
“Yeah!” She giggled.
“I love you so much, mon petit amant.” He squeezed her in a hug.
“I love you too Papa.” She hugged him back. “But, but not as much as chocolate.” She said as she pulled away.
“You love chocolate more than me?” He asked.
“Yeah, just a, just a little more.” She squeezed her pointer finger and thumb together to show how much more she loved chocolate than she loved her own father.
“Glad to know our girl has her properties straight.” Remus chuckled as he walked into Fizzys room.
“DADDY!” She jumped off the bed and ran over to him. “I MISSED YOU!”
“He was at the store for 30 minutes, Felicity.” Sirius rolled his eyes fondly.
“Hey, she might love chocolate more than you but she loves me more than chocolate,” Remus told his husband.
“No, I- I love chocolate more.” She corrected him seriously.

Yeehaw Leo… it's all because this song came on one day (I don’t even really listen to country anymore so it really is fate). Leo is based off that song, each chapter is going to be based off a yeehaw song too.
Characters belong to @lumosinlove
Beta: @the-most-slyterin-hufflepuff & @punkkkboi
TW/CW: Smut, terrible yeehaw sayings and jokes, injuries, mentions of past death/suicide, minor character death, underage drinking, mentions of past arrests, cringe
Chapter Songs (listening in order is recommended):
Chapter 15:
Thomas was sleeping, he was having a peaceful slumber until he felt the back of a hand across his face. Waking up startled he sits up. He goes to ask what's wrong but his face is grabbed by Noelle who drags him into an extra spicy kiss. He takes a sharp breath in through his nose and cups the back of her head. Kissing back but still confused. He looks for Clay who sleeps on the other side of Noelle, he seems to be missing.
Then he notices the lump under the covers…. Then it all clicks.
Thomas closes his eyes and smirks into the kiss with Noelle as she whines into his mouth and unintentionally yanks on the hair at the side and back of his head. Thomas blindly starts feeling around for the edge of the covers, when he finds then he tosses them back.
“So cold!” Noelle mumbles on his lips, Thomas pulls away a bit to look down at Clay who looks like he is being suffocated between Noelle's thighs. It was a beautiful sight. “Thomas, please kiss me-” Her breath hitched and her legs twitched for a moment before her ankles locked behind Clay’s head. “I’m so close!”
Thomas doesn't want this to end yet and he knows Noelle has gotten to the point where she can’t get off unless she is being stimulated in more than one place. Trying to make this moment last longer, Thomas would lean in to kiss her but swerve away to kiss her cheek or her neck. Just to tease her. His hand that wasn’t supporting his body was cupping her jaw so she had to look at him.
He was acting like he wasn’t hard as a fucking rock.
Eventually, Noelle's hips were canting up like she didn’t have control anymore. Clay’s arms were wrapped under her legs and he was gripping her hips to hold on for dear life. She grabs Thomas’ face and shoves her tongue in his mouth aggressively. Thomas folds and kisses her back. She climaxes, her mouth falling open, her hands gripping her boys almost too tight, and her legs snap shut but Clay doesn’t mind.
Once she finishes her body goes completely limp and her eyes close because they are rolling in different directions because her body is so relaxed. Thomas is petting her hair, not paying attention at all. Just soaking in just how beautiful she is in her afterglow.
A shocked moan jumps out of his throat as he feels a tight wet heat around his almost painfully hard cock. His hand jumps to Clay’s hair and he looks down to see him looking back up at him with his iconic puppy dog eyes. Thomas tips his head back as he catches his breath from when he was surprised.
Noelle comes back too and sees her boys, she turns on her side so her head is resting on Thoams’ shoulder, she reaches down to pat through Clay’s wild curls, messed up from sleeping. Clay opens his eyes from when they slipped closed after Thomas looked away. He sees the way Noelle is looking at him and he starts grinding against the bed.
He wanted to show his lovers how much he loves and appreciates them, he’s never experienced love and trust like this. He has a thing for being praised by Noelle and he knows this head petting is a way she does that without words.
Thomas on the other hand.
“Clay- fuck you’re suck a slut aren’t you. Got Noelle off and couldn’t help yourself.” Clay immediately flushes bright red and pinches his eyebrows together as the mixture of the silent praise from Noelle and the degrading talk that Thomas throws at him. Clay is being pushed closer to his own edge. He has never came untouched before but he wouldn’t be surprised if they could do that to him. So he doubles down on Thomas as he grinds against the bed harder.
He knows Thomas is close by the way his voice has turned into a whisper. Clay pulls off just in time to get a face full of Thomas. He blinks a couple of times before he is tossed on his back.
“I always knew you were a cum slut but I never thought you’d purposely make me cum on your face.” Thomas gives Clay a tight pull after spitting in his hand and Clay moans louder than he meant to. He flushes again from embarrassment.
“Always so pretty for us, Doll.” Noelle has moved to be kneeling next to Clay’s side, lightly touching his smooth stomach up to his chest and looking at him. “So gorgeous.”
“I’m gonna-” Thomas gives Clay exactly three pulls before he is spilling over his hand and his own stomach. Noelle leaned over and is peppering his neck and shoulders in little kisses before getting up to grab their designated sex towel. It had Daffy duck on it and Clay brought it with him as a joke.
They all get cleaned up and sprawl out on the fresh sheets together.
“I’m going to order food because I’m so hungry I feel my stomach digesting itself.” Thomas is typing on his phone their normal orders from a deli just down the street from them. Clay smiles and laughs a bit from how dramatic Thomas always gets. Eventually the food is out for delivery and the tallest of the bunch gets up and pulls on some sweats.
Clay rolls over to his side and shoves his face into Noelle's boobs because they are his favorite things. Noelle absentmindedly starts scratching his scalp because she feels like it. Thomas comes back and see’s Clay’s face looking way too similar to his O face just from her scratching his scalp.
“Nope, if you do that I’m going to get all hot and horny again. We need to eat, Noelle leaves in five hours.” He sits on the bed and tosses them their sandwiches.
“What are you two going to do while I’m gone?” Noelle unwraps her sandwich and takes a bite while she checks her phone for her flight information. Her, Logan, Finn and Leo are all going to Canada to spend the holiday with her parents. Logan plans to tell their parents about Leo and she knows it won’t go well.
Her parent adore Finn and most likely only accepted Logan for being bisexual because of Finn. He was the perfect all-american boy who was successful… and white. Her parents have come to terms with her dating Thomas but they still bad mouth him in front of her with wild accusations.
She also knows that she is the favorite child from how her parents treat her versus her sisters and Logan. So she gets away with a lot more. But she knows if they knew about Clay they would freak the fuck out.
She doesn’t think this is going to go as well as Logan hopes but she will support him no matter what. So will Sydney and Aubrey. They have had to support each other for their entire lives. Their family dynamic was one of those, you act all friendly and nice when you are with your parents but once you are away from them you can actually be yourself. Oh, and talk shit on the parents because they always think they are right.
“If you want we can go visit my parents, they have been dying to meet you. Yes my mom talked to you when the team was down at Leo’s but they didn’t get to know you.” Clay is already done with his food because the bitch eats fast. “I have a pilot friend who could take us.”
“Really?” Thomas was halfway through his sandwich with his mouth full of food.
“Yeah, he was friends with Wyatt in the air force and flies us to Brazil every year. He’s a good family friend. Super funny too, I think he’d be a good comedian.” Clay smiles and takes the trash from their food, tossing it in the trash before going to get dressed for the day in his normal at home shorts, skipping a shirt and putting on socks because the wood floors are cold. “Want me to call him?”
“Yeah why not, I’d love to meet your parents.” Thomas has a soft smile as he takes another bite. He has met Noelle’s parents but knows they don’t like him no matter what he does so he plans to charm the pants off Clay’s parents.
Clay leaves to the living room to go call, Noelle gets up to get dressed for the day but before she can get off the bed Thomas pulls her into his lap. Just holding her and smooching his face into her neck.
“Worried?”
“What would I need to be worried about?” Thomas kissed her cheek and gave her a squeeze. “Well, I take that back, I guess Leo is going with you guys and I don’t see Maurice taking that very well.” Noelle nods and sighs.
“I’m worried too, I don’t think it’s a good idea but Logan tries so hard to impress Maman and Papa that it doesn’t surprise me that he is bringing Leo. I mean, Leo is rich, respectful, kind and American so he is everything they have ever wanted…. But with him having a criminal record and tattoo’s and the same sense of challenge that Clay has, I don’t expect them to take him in like they did Finn. Also, his teeth are still fucked from when Aubrey dumped him out of the car and he doesn’t really care about it, so it makes him seem like he doesn’t care about appearances. Which they do.” She flops her head on his shoulder and groans annoyed. “I guess I’ll give you updates about how it's going.”
“I’d appreciate that, sweet thang.” He gives her one last smooch before she gets up to get dressed. Clay walks back in as she is leaving, Noelle smacks his ass as she passes causing him to jump and look back as she disappears into the closet.
“He said he could take us tomorrow, he needs to call the airport and set up a take off and landing schedule.” He flops on the bed and narrows his eyes at the ceiling. “There are so many crumbs on the bed.”
Leo had never been on a commercial plane; it was kinda stuffy. It was also cramped, but he was between his boys so he didn’t really mind. Logan had his headphones on and Finn was sleeping with his head resting back on the seat. Leo was very squished, maybe a bit too tall for the seats. He only needed to be squished for about an hour and a half so he would survive.
As they landed Logan took off his headphones and started texting his parents, Noelle was a seat or two behind them so they were all being picked up by their mother, Leo thinks her name is Mary… honestly Logan barely talks about his parents unless he wants to show them an achievement of his so Leo really didn’t know anything about them besides they don’t like a lot of tattoos on a person so Noelle and Logan are both just wearing long sleeves the whole time to hide their newest additions while Leo is wearing his selling black turtles neck.
Saying he was nervous was a bit of an understatement.
They grabbed their bags from the claim and made their way outside, a large white SUV pulled up and Noelle started heading towards it, Logan following next to Finn and Leo trailing behind.
It was cold.
A short woman with a paisley pattern blue scarf covering her hair got out of the large car and ran up to Noelle and engulfed her into a tight hug, speaking quick French to her as Noelle took a second to hug back. Logan was bouncing on his toes a little behind her waiting for his hug. Leo watched as Logan deflated when his mother, Leo was guessing that's who it is, skips over him to hug Finn just as tight as Noelle. Leo stood to the side awkwardly waiting to see how she reacts to him.
He knows she has looked his way because he saw his reflection in her dark sunglasses. He acts like he is dusting stuff off of him as he looks down at his nice jeans, belt and boots that he wore today trying to make a good first impression. But judging from how Mary is dressed in an expensive dress, coat and shoes, he thinks he chose the wrong outfit.
She eventually pulls away from Finn after kissing his cheeks, leaving Finn an adorable shade of red, she helps him get his bags in the car. Leaving everyone else to put their own in by themselves. Glancing at Logan he notices he has his ‘I’m upset but will try to look neutral’ face on. Leo wants to reach out and comfort him but he knows now isn’t a good time.
The car ride was short, into the heart of the city to a nice sized house surrounded by even bigger houses that are almost the size of the ranch. It was a pale blue color with a red door that was glossy and wooden. Leo expected it to be heavy but he wasn’t expecting it to be shut on him before he even entered the house. He opens the door to find a man in a Police uniform hugging Noelle and laughing with Finn while Logan holds Finn’s hand.
He suddenly felt very uneasy being in the house, so he decided to stay standing by the door. Pretending he was invisible, standing with his luggage in front of him. Logan looks at him and raises an eyebrow until he sees Leo flick his eyes from Logan to the man. Logan nods and mouths an apology. Sending a shaky smile back Leo’s attention is turned to the two older siblings walking over to him.
“Hey guys.” He smiles tightly and accepts hugs from both of them.
“How are your teeth?” Aubrey asks light heartedly, as she sips on her glass of plum colored wine.
“Still broken.” He smiles with his teeth this time, already feeling more relaxed now that the sisters were joking with him.
“Don’t they hurt?” Sydney leans forward a little to examine them. “I work at a dentist. I could get them fixed for you.” Leo remembers Logan mentioning how Sydney was a dental assistant and Aubrey was a lawyer. A very successful family: Lawyer, Dental Assistant, Marine biologist, and a Pro-Hockey Player. He shakes his head no when he looks past them to see Logan finally getting some form of affection from his parents, his father is patting him on the shoulder as Noelle follows her mother into the kitchen and Finn goes to take Logan and his bags to Logan’s room. Maybe he should take his bags too.
“Papa, this is Leo.” Logan gestures to Leo and he takes that as his queue to go over to them. He walks over, trying to calm his nerves. Standing next to Logan he holds out his hand to shake his fathers. “I thought it would be nice to bring him along.” Logan doesn’t plan to tell his parents they are dating until after the first dinner together. His father looks Leo up and down with his intense green eyes taking in every flaw of his. Eventually he takes his hand and shakes it, a bit harder than Leo was expecting.
“You a manual labor worker? Your hands are quite rough.” Leo tries to pretend he didn’t see Logan’s dad wipe his hand on his trousers.
“I sell horses down in Louisiana, my family owns a ranch.”
“Your accent is quite thick, ever thought of speech therapy so people can understand you better?” Leo furrows his brows and shakes his head slightly in surprise. No one has ever been that blunt to him before. “It might be better for your… business.” Logan clears his throat.
“He is living with Finn right now in Gryffindor.” Logan notices how his dad's expression becomes one of suspicion and untrust. Swallowing his worry he continues on. “He is a Professional Bull Rider during the summer.” His father slowly nods as he takes in the information given.
“Explains the dirty boots on my floor. Dinner is in an hour.” He turns away from them and starts walking as Leo is looking down at his freshly polished boots, they were his formal boots that rarely ever get worn. “Oh, and I hope you have another place to stay, we don’t have room in the house for you.” Leo looks up to see Logan’s dad staring at him seriously before he starts walking again. Logan is just as confused as Leo and the sister behind them. Before Logan can go after his dad Leo grabs his arm.
“Hey it’s okay, I saw a hotel just down the street I can stay at. I don’t want you to fight with your parents over me.” Logan is looking like he is going to argue back but then he sighs in defeat and nods. Leo looks back at his bags for a second before following Logan down the stairs, following a long hall into Logan’s room. It was quite small, the walls were a boring cream color that doesn’t scream Logan. Wild and vibrant Logan. The bedspread was dark burgundy and the bed was twin mattresses on a queen frame put together. Leo could see them under the short duvet. There was a lot of hand-me-down furniture in the room. Or Leo was guessing it was from how old and beat up it is, all mismatching colors and textures. The carpet was a dull brown and there was a broken closet door.
As he was taking in the room around him, which barely had enough room for them to move around, he noticed the door hinges looked as though they had been taken off and put back on a few times. He didn’t ask about it. He knew family was a sensitive subject for Logan.
“I’m sorry, he doesn’t really know how to be subtle about things.” Logan hugs Leo after closing the door that doesn’t quite shut properly. “I’ve never seen him so mean to a stranger before.”
“Is he mean to people he knows? Like you?” Logan shakes his head and Leo relaxes a bit. “This isn’t really what I expected your room to look like, it’s very” He looks around as he rubs Logan’s back and Finn is still trying to find a spot to put their bags. “Bland.”
“I was never allowed to decorate how I wanted because my parents told me it would be harder to sell when they retire and move to France where the rest of the family is. It used to be my dad’s office space before I was born. They didn’t really plan for me, but they love me and that's all I need.” Logan pulls away and flops on his bed.
“Aha!” Finn has found a place to fit their bags and looks at Leo. “Where are your bags? I found a place for all three to fit.” He smiles so proud of himself. “I tell you, playing Tetris has really helped me in my life.” Plopping his hands on his hips and leaning a little to the side he notices how quiet Leo and Logan both are. Logan is picking at his bedspread and Leo has his arms crossed leaning against the wall. “Did I miss something?”
“I’m getting a hotel room, I don’t think Logan’s dad likes me much.” Leo smiles at him, watching as Finn’s face goes from his smile to a confused frown.
“But I thought they said he could stay over the phone.”
“Papa shook his hand and told him he can’t stay, I think it's because I told him that Leo is living with you.” Logan is looking rather guilty when he looks up at them.
“Lo, babe. It wasn’t anything you said, I just have that effect on people, especially older people.” Leo takes the two sets front he door to the bed to lean down and kiss his forehead. “And I don’t mind, really it's okay.”
“I can stay with you.” Finn sits next to Logan as he speaks, jostling the bed, causing it to squeak.
“I don’t think that's a good idea. You better stay here, plus I think Lo needs you.” he smooches Finn’s forehead as well and pulls out his phone to call the hotel down the street for a reservation.
Dinner smelled amazing, walking up the stairs Leo followed the other two. The kitchen was rustic but sleek, lots of bright whites and khaki. A table is set to the right of the large granite island where all the food is set out. Leo is told to sit while Finn and Logan get a plate of food for him. Logan's parents are sitting on either side of him, his dad has changed out of his uniform to some lounge pants and a t- shirt. His mother was still in full makeup and the fancy dress and shoes from earlier. Leo knew their dynamic immediately. He shifts uncomfortably in his chair as the parents speak to each other in French not knowing that he can understand them.
“C'est un criminel, j'ai regardé son casier.” Leo acts like he isn’t listening but he can’t help but grip his pant leg under the table.
“Il essaie également de corrompre Finn. Vivre avec lui ne me semble pas bien.” It appears the parents have been gossiping about him. Sydney and Aubrey Place plates of food in front of the parents and go to sit across them side by side. Leaving two spaces open next to them.
“Les filles, éloignez-vous de lui. c'est un méchant.” Logan’s dad said, whose name Leo learned from Finn, is Maurice. He waits for Logan and Finn to sit before he relaxes, Logan setting a plate of food in front of him.
What was left he was guessing. There definitely isn’t southern hospitality up here.
“Logan, pourquoi amenez-vous ce... Mec ici. Dans notre maison.” Finn looks around confused and shares a look with Leo, who hasn’t touched his food and is looking rather upset.
“Il parle français, maman…” Logan is looking at his parents with a completely baffled look, how could they be this bold and this rude. Noelle was still missing from the table, her place already having food at it, yet she wasn't there. “Where is Noelle?”
“I’m here! Sorry I was talking to some friends.” Noelle is red in the face as she sits down at her spot, looking rather glowy… Logan cringes at the thought of what she was doing. “Dinner looks lovely Maman.”
Her mothers face completely lights up and she starts rambling on about how she made dinner. While everyone was eating, it was mostly silent. Maurice suddenly turns to Leo.
“Tell us about your family? I would like to know you better before I figure out if I want you around Finn and Logan.”
“Well… my mom works on the ranch selling the horses with me, she was a beauty queen when she was younger.” Leo notices Mary roll her eyes out of the corner of his own. It was irritating. “ My dad was an AirForce pilot but passed away a few years ago.”
“I’m sorry for your loss.” Aubrey sends him a sad smile and Sydney nods in agreement.
“If you don’t mind me asking. How did your father pass?” Maurice wipes his face with his napkin and looks at him sincerely for the first time that night. Logan gives Leo a look that tells him to tread lightly. Leo thinks for a moment before answering, taking a bite of food so it doesn’t seem like he is stalling.
“He died from a gunshot wound, Sir.” The table goes silent for a moment but Leo just keeps eating so as to not make the awkwardness even worse. “We planted a tree for him, a Weeping Willow by the pond he loved.”
“That's very sweet.” Mary says as she lightly pats his forearm in what is supposed to be a comforting way. Leo knows she doesn’t mean anything bad so he stuffs the irritation he feels down.
“Any siblings?” Sydney tries to move the conversation along from the morbid topic of death. Her plate was finished and her napkin was covering it as she took a drink of water.
“I have a best friend Clayton, he's basically my brother.” Leo notices how Noelle stops and sees the slight alarm in her eyes, he knows better than to throw her under the bus like that so of course he won’t mention their relationship.
“Can we see a picture of him?” Sydney smiles genuinely and it makes Leo relax a bit. Talking about Clay was easy, they had so many stories. He could definitely twist them to be more appropriate. Leo nods and pulls out his phone, trying to find a good picture. He lands on one of them in their rodeo grab from last year right after Leo had his face smashed into the poll of Canadian Mist. “Oh he’s a cutie!” She smiles at the picture and Leo gives her his phone to take a better look, she leans over to show Aubrey.
“You have a good looking family.” She passed the phone to Noelle whose eyes softened at the picture but her face stayed neutral, nodding in agreement she passed the phone to Maurice. He sat there for a moment just looking at the picture, Leo wasn’t sure what he was staring at until his mouth opened.
“So it appears your mother was rather unfaithful. Obviously, you are white and I’m guessing your parents are white… yet one of her sons is black.” Leo, Finn and the siblings all sit there in shock, Mary doesn’t even flinch and just finishes her meal. That was the last straw for dinner, Leo stands up quickly snatching his phone from Maurice who was scrolling through his photos, his chair squeaks but he doesn’t care as he walks off towards the basement bathroom that he remembers passing on the way up from Logan's room. Stomping down the stairs and quietly closing the door.
“Papa! He said he was his BEST FRIEND! Someone LIKE his brother! Not his actual brother, ugh you are so mean sometimes!” Logan gets up and follows Leo, Finn is about to join him but he is asked to help with the dishes and is too afraid to say no. Logan bounds down the stairs and looks in his room first, not finding his cowboy there he heads towards the bathroom. He sees the light is on under the door and he knocks. “Leo? Sunshine? It’s Logan, can I come in?”
“One second.” He hears a slight crack in Leo’s voice and his heart just breaks, he hears a bit of shuffling and then the door is slightly opened. Leo had reached from where he was sitting on the closed toilet seat to open the door. “I didn’t mean to storm out like that, I’m sorry.”
“Why are you apologizing? What he was was fucking cruel and you know it.” Logan kneels down on the cold linoleum between Leo’s legs so he can look him in the eyes. Placing his hands on his thighs he dips his head a bit to look at Leo’s downturned face. “I’m sorry he said that and I understand if you want to go home.”
“This is important to you, Sweet Pea. I won’t leave.” Leo looks up at him, his eyes are brighter than normal and Logan is guessing it's because he was either crying or tearing up before he knocked on the door.
“Leo you do so much already-”
“I’m staying Lo, I’m staying because I promised and I don’t break promises.” Leo smiles a little at him and Logans sighs. Leo is so stubborn sometimes, but Logan loves that about him. Defeated he sits back on his heels and rests his head on Leo’s thigh.
“Can I at least make you feel better?” He has an idea of what to do, running his hand up and down the long inner thigh that belongs to the beautiful man in front of him. Leo’s breath hitches for a second. Looking away from where his hand is tracing the seam of Leo’s jeans to see a blush across the blonde boy's nose. “Please?” His hand moves to palm Leo’s slowly growing tent in his jeans and smiles when he sees a nod. Getting comfortable Logan sits on his butt with his legs on either side of the base of the toilet, Leo’s feet set behind his hips.
Logan leans forward and undoes Leo’s belt and jeans pulling them down just enough that they rest on his upper thighs. He can’t help but smile at Leo’s underwear being Canadian themed. Pulling the waistband down he is just about hit in the nose but Leo’s full erection. Looking up to Leo who has his hand over his mouth to keep him from laughing he smiles.
Licking just beneath the head he watched Leo's expression change. Knowing at this angle he won’t be able to take all of Leo in his mouth he grips the base and takes the red tip into his mouth, sucking just enough to make Leo’s eyes scrunch shut as he keeps himself from making a sound. Running his tongue up the large vein on Leo’s cock he feels a hand in his hair and knows he is doing well. He finally takes as much of Leo into his mouth as he can and sucks hard in a way that would be painful to most but he knows that pain just makes it better for Leo.
After a good couple of minutes of this Leo felt like he was teetering on the edge when there was a knock on the door, not knowing if Logan hears it, he tugs his hair lightly in a way he wouldn’t durring sex to catch Logan’s attention. Logan pulls off and is about to ask what is wrong when the door handle turns, luckily for them Logan has a habit of locking the bathroom door.
“Logan? Are you in there?” It was his dad. Logan looks at Leo and gives him a quiet gesture with his finger to his lips as he uses his other hand to continue working Leo who threw his head back and covers his mouth tightly so he doesn’t make a sound. “Logan.”
“Yeah?” His voice is a bit dodgy, like he has been crying, but really it was from having a dick in his throat... but his dad didn’t need to know that.
“Are you crying? I raised you better than that, you need to be a man and come talk to me.” Maurice stomps off back up the stairs. Logan just goes back to what he was doing. Sucking Leo back do to his knuckles where his fist is holding the rest of Leo. It takes about two more minutes before Leo is cumming down his throat. After swallowing it all Logan stands up and settles himself in Leo’s lap kissing him passionately. Leo cups his cock through his pants and lets Logan grind down on his hand until he finishes into his pants. Leo is peppering Logan’s neck in kisses as he is coming down from his high.
Walking back upstairs to a rather quiet house was eerie, Leo and Logan actually find Finn and Noelle outside on the back porch by the heater just detoxing from dinner. Logan walks out first, sitting between them and sighing loudly. He is now wearing Finn’s sweatpants which are much too long on him but are slightly tight on his thighs. Leo follows after he pats down his pockets making sure he has his cigarettes and lighter because a smoke sounds amazing at the very moment.
Walking outside with his cigarette in between his lips he lights it and takes a long drag, moving to sit next to Noelle since there are only two benches outside and they both fit two people.
“You alright?” Noelle looks up from her phone. He was texting her boys and letting them know how everything went with dinner. She looks up to see Leo just staring off into the distance and decides its best not to press. “So, do you think telling Maman and Papa is a good idea after all that?” She turns her gaze to Logan who is resting his head on Finn’s shoulder with the red head's arm around his own.
“I still want to tell them, they need to know that I am happy with the loves of my life.” Leo blinks out of his disassociating stare to look at them. Logan doesn’t seem phased by calling him a ‘love of his life’ but they haven’t said the big three words to each other yet.
“Mind if we join?” Sydney and Aubrey walk over to them on the porch and perch themselves on the arms of the benches.
“Perfect timing, I actually want to tell you something.” Logan shares a glance at Leo, who nods knowing what he is going to tell them, Leo likes all the Tremblay siblings so he doesn’t mind them knowing. He knows they will support them. “You know how Finn and I are dating?”
“Yeeaaah?” They both say it at the same time and in the same way that it's almost freaky.
“We are also dating Leo.” It was silent for a few seconds before the sisters broke into giant grins.
“I told you!” Sydney shouts at Aubrey who is looking shocked but happy. “I knew the second you were getting the yeux de mort from our baby brother after you broke Leo’s teeth!” Sydney laughs a bit as Aubrey turns red.
“I didn’t mean too! Also, I’m happy for you three. You should know I’m bad at reading relationships by now.” They chat from a few seconds before the slamming of the door to the porch brings them out of their delightful bubble. Maurice is standing outside of the door looking like he is about to kill. His eyes are dangerously sharp and his breathing is fast. Walking over to the group pointing to the window behind them… that's open. Logan goes pale and Finn looks down at his hands trying to act like he isn’t there. Noelle, Sydney and Aubrey all just look at each other and decide it's best to leave. Walking towards the door giving each other worried glances.
“What! Did I just hear! You are dating this- this- this lowlife criminal?! Just because he has money does not mean he loves you Logan! He is a leech! He is dirty and will trick you into doing things for his own pleasure!” Storming over to Leo he grabs the collar of his turtle neck and yanks him forward on the bench.
Nose to nose.
“Sir I-”
“I don’t care what you have to say! You stay away from my son and his boyfriend, you whore! You are not good enough for them and will never be good enough for them… You. Are. Scum.”
“Papa! Stop it! He has never done anything to hurt us, and I know he never would! He is not ‘buying’ our love! Stop treating him so poorly, we want him just like we want each other!” Logan stands up and tries to get his dad's hand to let go of Leo’s shirt but just ends up getting pushed away.
“Logan. Stay out of this, I am protecting you because you apparently don’t know how to.” Maurice glances down at Leo’s neck where his tattoo is now exposed from Murice holding the neck of his shirt. “I bet you are covered in tattoos! I should have you arrested for trespassing on my property.” Leo’s eyes go wide and he doesn’t know what to do, he knows if he opens his mouth this will all get worse. So he stays silent. “He doesn’t even have the guts to protect himself.” He roughly lets go of Leo’s collar and turns to face Logan. “He will never be allowed in my house again after this trip, after tomorrow he will be gone and never come back.”
“Then I will never come back.” Logan and Maurice look strikingly similar, nostrils flared, hair curling wildly, cheeks flushed from anger. There was no doubt they were father and son.
“You will come back, because you are family. He is not and never will be.” He doesn’t let Logan respond before he starts stalking back towards the door, footsteps heavy making Leo’s ears ring with every step he takes.
“Leo? Can you hear me?” He blinks a couple times, finding Finn sitting next to him and holding his hand tightly. Logan is gone, probably following his dad to keep arguing. Leo didn’t want Logan to argue with his family over him. “Hey, look at me.” Leo is brought back from his thoughts once again, looking into those copper colored eyes he loves so much.
“I’m okay.” His answer was short and his hands were slightly shaking but he grips Finn's hand tighter. “I don’t want to come in between Logan’s family like this…”
“Baby, it’s going to be okay. Him and his dad's relationship has always been rocky.”
“But… They love you.” Leo is about to continue but receives a rather annoyed look from Finn.
“They only like me because… honestly I really don’t know because I have made Logan do lots of stupid stuff in college they wouldn’t approve of.” Finn gives him a soft smile and kisses his forehead. “Leo, we aren’t going anywhere. I promise.”
“I think I’m going to head to the hotel for the night, I need some alone time after that. If that's okay.” Leo stands up and tugs Finn’s hand to make him stand as well.
“Of course it’s okay, but if you need something you better call or else I’ll bury you alive.”
“Bit morbid.”
“With hugs and kisses.” Finn winks at him causing Leo to laugh a bit as they walk towards the door, Leo is checking his phone for Ubers nearby to take him to the hotel and books one. Not sparing the Tremblay parents another glance, he kisses Logan goodbye after telling him he is going to the hotel. Waving goodbye to the sisters hiding in the hallway eavesdropping on the argument in the kitchen, he takes his bags and walks out the front door.
The next morning Logan is waiting eagerly for Leo to show up for breakfast. When he does, boy oh boy does he make an entrance. Walking in the door with his arms full of shopping bags from the local stores. He is smiling wide and seems to be in a much better mood. He has gifts for all the siblings and of course his boys.
“What's this?” Maurice asks as soon as he sees the mountain of bags under their Christmas tree, they were here for the holidays after all. There were separate piles for everyone and Leo was in the middle of setting up Finn’s pile when the devil himself walked in the room.
“You said I buy love, so I bought things… with love.” Leo smirks at him and Logan tries to hide his amused smile behind his hand, walking over to Leo and gluing himself to his side. Leo looks down at him and wraps his arm around Logan, giving him a squeeze before they share a kiss much to Maurice's dismay.
“Can I have one?” Finn walks over to them with the rare shy smile on his face, Leo leans forward to give him a kiss as well. The rest of the day went rocky but better than yesterday, with Maurice staying out of the way and Logan being stuck to Leo all day with Finn occasionally joining when he isn’t dragged off to do something by the rest of the Tremblay’s. Leo went back to the hotel that night feeling much lighter. Calling his mother to wish her and the Bruss', where apparently Clayton and Thomas were, happy holidays.
They fly home tomorrow and Leo was excited. Home means he will be watching the Dumias kids with Logan, while Pascal and Celeste go off on a date trip for the weekend and Finn has to fly to Florida for a wedding.

I like the idea of while Logan is living with Dumo, one of the younger kids mentions something along the lines of he’s a lot quieter during the night than Sirius was or something implying Sirius’ troubles and Logan asks Dumo about it
So a teaser for the upcoming Nightmares Mini Series extension prequel series thing that y’all want! I am so excited people still find it and read and reread it and love it! I loved writing it, as heart wrenching as it could be. More content to come so stay tuned!!
As always, these hockey boys are credit to the amazing @lumosinlove!
“How’s the first few weeks at Dumo’s going?” Sirius asked as Logan let him into the Dumias house.
“Good, good. A lot to process still. We have a game in two weeks and it still hasn’t quite set in yet.”
“I’ll bet. Surprised to see you didn’t move in with Harzy, you’re college teammates, non?”
“Yeah... well my mom wanted me to billet until I can afford my own place, and Dumo offered and my dad was over the moon about HIS SON living with THE Pascal Dumias.”
“Oui, it is great here.”
“Boys! Stop loitering by the door, sit at the table, supper is almost ready!” Celeste called from the kitchen.
As the boys moved further into the house, the Dumias kids swarmed them. Welcoming Sirius and giving him hugs. Even though he still came to the house for dinner at least once a week, the kids said they weren’t seeing him enough after moving into his own place.
“We miss you Siri!” Katie chimed in as she was picked up for a hug and she clung to Sirius’ neck.
“I miss you guys too!”
“At least the nights are quieter around here.” Adele joked.
Logan gave Sirius a questioning look, who shrugged and looked at the ground as he said, “I snore.”
“And sleep talk. Sometimes. In French, too! Papa always has to tell him to be quiet.” Katie added from where she was still in Sirius’ arms.
“Yeah, well you snore too, ma petit cheri.” Sirius shot back, tickling the girl in his arms.
Logan was a little confused by the whole thing, but by the way Sirius was refusing to make eye contact with him, he decided to save his questions for later.
***
After supper had been devoured, Celeste went on getting the kids ready for bed as Pascal, Logan, and Sirius cleaned up the table and started the dishes. Conversation was light, and with all the kids and Celeste upstairs, Logan decided now was as good a time as any.
“Hey, um,ca- can I ask about what Adele and Katie were talking about? You talk in your sleep?”
Dumo slowed his scrubbing a pan, and looked over at a frozen, wide-eyed Sirius.
“Sorry, you don’t have to say anything,” Logan forced a laugh. “When I roomed with Finn at college, he sometimes talked in his sleep too.”
“No, it’s alright. Ouai, I, um, sometimes do.” He got out a raspy chuckle. “I would sometimes have nightmares? I guess? It was just being in a new place, new country, really, and it was just a lot of pressure and... yeah. No big deal, it’s all good. You’re good.”
“Yeah, it is a lot, I can relate to that. I mean, I had college to adjust being not in Canada, but yeah. It’s still a lot.”
With that, they fell into a comfortable, if not a tad tense, silence. As the boys were finishing up, Celeste came down to give Sirius a hug goodnight before sending him off.

I've been (slowly) gathering and writing about songs I'd like to hear the glee kids sing (trying to keep in mind voice, theme, story arc), and after making two posts already (songs for Kurt, and songs for Blaine), I found myself wondering what your thoughts would be on this - if there are any specific songs you think would fit well in their story arc/voice/theme for Kurt and Blaine? I'm writing about the songs I'd give to Rachel now, and it's been nice to see your latest posts about their voices
First of all, thank you! I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the post about voices!
Secondly, I always feel bad when people ask me this question because I never have a great answer -- I’m terrible at keeping up with pop music.  But... I’ll scroll through my iTunes and see if anything stands out to me!
Okay! I have gone through my entire list of iTunes music (which isn’t a whole lot, let’s be real).  And these are songs that I think would be interesting for the characters to sing.  I hope you enjoy!
Blaine
Bad Day - Daniel Powter: This would have been a really interesting Warblers song, actually.
MmmBop - Hanson: Let’s be real, this is Blaine’s drunk karaoke go to.
On Top of the World - Imagine Dragons: I think there are a lot of songs in the Imagine Dragons catalogue that Blaine could sing, but this is the happiest that comes to mind.  I don’t have a specific reason for when he’d sign it, but I think he’d do well with it.
Wash Away - Joe Purdy: I love this song, and it’s another one that I think Darren’s voice would work on.  I love a lot of acoustic for Blaine whatever the song.
Love Today - Mika: I actually kind of see this as a flirty Klaine duet.
What am I To You - Norah Jones: Blaine angsting about Kurt in the middle of the night.
An Old Fashioned Love Song - Three Dog Night: This is another one that might have been a fascinating Klaine duet for the hell of it.  (Btw - I think Blaine would have fun singing any Three Dog Night song.  I think ‘One’ a happier Blaine would sing almost satirically.)
Kurt
Sort Of - Ingrid Michaelson: Let me be clear, I do not think he’d sing this about Blaine.  Actually, I’d think he’d sing it about his career in the performing arts.  Also I love this song, and think he’d sound great on it.
Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher - Jackie Wilson: Another Klaine duet.
I Try - Macy Gray: This is Kurt’s drunken karaoke song
Grace Kelly - Mika: Mika is a missed opportunity.  I love idea that Kurt would be able to be provocative and alluring in some compacity with this one.
I Shall Believe - Sheryl Crow: An angsty Kurt song
He Plays the Violin - 1776 Soundtrack: Okay, so hear me out.  This song is about Martha Jefferson alluding what her sex life is like.  It’s very suggestive.  I would have loved to hear (and see) Kurt do this one.
Only You - Yaz: This one’s another Klaine-ish duet.  It’s their drunken karaoke song to each other
Santana
Apparently, I had some Santana feels while doing this, and found a few songs I think she’d sound really good on.
KT Turnstall - Suddenly I See
Trouble - Pink
Angel of the Morning - Pretenders
Finn
With Finn’s penchant for doing classic rock, I’m surprised they never had him sing this.
Brown Eyed Girl Van Morrison
Mercedes
This is just a gorgeous song that made me think of Mercedes.
Never Gonna Break My Faith - Aretha Franklin
Sam
I had this on my list, it made me laugh and think of Sam.
Take Me Home Country Roads
Tina
I started to laugh thinking about Tina hitting her head again, and this time they wake up in some kind of Dawson’s Creek Teen Drama fantasy
I Don’t Want to Wait - Paul Cole
Group
Because some songs you have to sing with a lot of people.
With a Little Help From My Friends - Beatles
Make Your Own King of Music - Mamas and the Papas
I’ll Be There For You - The Rembrants
Closing Time - Semisonic (Really, this should have been the last song.)
All Star - Smash Mouth (Totally the male new directions drunken karaoke song.)
The Lion Sleeps Tonight - The Tokens
YMCA - The Village People
Shut Up and Dance - Walk the Moon
This was an interesting exercise! Thanks Nonny!
